TW: Talks of depression, but ultimately positive.

I cannot believe I lost my color;

I'm almost ten days in on my new antidepressant, and I cried today. I cried because I can't remember the last time I saw such a beautiful sunset, I could not believe just how colorful and bright the world was around me. In the years my depression has worsened, I cannot believe it also took my love of color; I cannot fathom how it made my world so dull.

Watching the clouds reflect vibrant pinks, oranges, and reds of the setting sun; I could not fathom how I forgot to perceive them. I cannot believe I lost my colors, and how much I forgot I loved them. There was the lush greens of grass, and the coy blues of the still bright sky. I heard birdsong and rain falling off the leaves of trees, I felt the warm and wet air press onto my skin, and I saw all the colors I lost. How much did I lose to my depression? Too much, it feels like.

I cried, no, I mourned the years I spent without color. I was almost overwhelmed, I still am, actually. I wish to weep for the child in me, the one who spent so long without this. I wish to grieve the years I spent without my spark, without my colors.

It was a small moment, one many might not even blink at; but it was everything to me. It is everything to me.

I never want to be without color again, I cannot fathom losing them after just getting them back.

I'm almost ten days into my new antidepressant, and I think I might be healing.

Y'know what would be funny? If a Codywan fic made Obi-wan and Cody's relationship so fucking obvious even Anakin picked up on it, AND THAT'S NOT ALL.

It makes Anakin actually t a l k to Obi-wan about the Councils feelings in relationships, as truly, I fully believe the 'No attachments' rule is a bit more complex then that.

And this just, it just fucks Palps plans, because now Anakin is actually coming to his former Master about shit and learning. Maybe he doesn't end up killing to tuskens? (I dunno how you could justify/talk it away(you can't, it was murder of the highest caliber))

It's just- Anakin sees his Master, whom he thought was just a massive stick in the mud, being an absolute obvious idiot with his Commander- and it makes a few of his unused braincells start rubbing together again.

Obi-wan is glad his former padawan is reaching out to him again. Cody is happy Obi-wan is happy- now if only he could get Anakin to stop being a shithead. Anakin is confused, but getting there. And Palps is cursing his fucking face off as two dudes really liking each other's faces are fucking all his plans up.

Order 66 doesn't happen, because some magic bullshit I can't think up right now. Maybe Obi-wan kissed Cody so well it broke the chip in his brain and he had to go to medical where they learned about it(the chips).

Wonderful, divine, it's cannon in my mind now. If I was an artist I'd draw that.

I love the fact Obi-wan Kenobi seems to have this permanent inability to not sass anyone within his vicinity. The Sith? Prime sass material. Other Jedi? The man dabbles respectfully. Other Council members? Bit scary, but it can be done. The Clones and any sentient he comes across? A perfect opportunity.

It doesn't quit, I fully believe half the reason Yoda wanted Obi-wan on his lineage was the sheer sass the little tyke emitted. Yoda was likely chilling with all the kids in the creche when in comes Obi-wan, the walking disaster. Yoda probably spent 10 minutes with this kid and decided, 'Oh yeah, this one's mine.' I'm delusional but you can't take that theory from me.

I'm all for (gremlin)Yoda, and initiate Obi-wan working together on pranks. I want that so badly.

It feels like a lot of people forget that Yoda loves Obi-wan, like he loved Qui-Gon and Dooku(Despite the rocky/soured relationship). I won't pretend I agree with how he pushed Qui-Gon and Obi-wan together, but Yoda was never intentionally malicious(how was he to know Qui-gons and Obi-wans bad luck would merge to something's completely batshit insane?), dudes like 900 years old- In his mind, he likely grew up around a completely different set of what's acceptable for children. Yeah, all the official sources says Yoda held Obi-wan in 'high regards' and 'respected' him, but he also trained him, and watched him grow. How could you not love someone after that? I truthfully believe Yoda loved a lot of people- and knew almost all of them no doubt, because he was in the creches, he watched many of his fellow Council members grow- had likely seen many die.

Damn, this started off as a Obi-wan is a sassy little mess to Yoda has likely lost a lot of people he loved.

Honestly tho debate me if you have a different take I like hearing other perspectives!
