mockup for a new dialogue box style. trying out some new talksprite styles, a different font, and a different textbox. i feel like this look gives the game more of that distinct retro vibe, and it gives it some stylistic maturity

5-20-25: started revisiting HALT, a jumpy-shooty platformer. no shooty yet tho also learning how to use state machines in Gamemaker to make code that Does Not Suck Ass. now when it breaks it is ✨contained✨

Good mornin gamers! It's been a while since I've posted - I've been working on a lot of small, different projects. Things I've completed, things that are still in progress, and things that're still forming. I was pretty busy for a bit, which explains my lack of activity on here - it's hard to keep up with sometimes, especially with everything going on. But I would love to give a bit more time to this devlog - I wanna share my things and connect more with others. So thanks to anyone reading this, checking out the devlog, or just visiting for the first time. If you played or liked Party on Hallow Grove, I'm excited to show you what's been in the works, and what's next!
