Observe your body from the perspective of living inside of it. Most people live unconsciously in their bodies, unaware of their organs, muscles and joints except when they experience pain or some sense of body dysfunction. This tendency to ignore and neglect the body often results in eating whatever seems easiest and most readily available. Overtime, this can result in cardiovascular disease, diabetes and cancer. Many people live outside their bodies, observing them only as objects, concerned about their bodies meeting some physical ideal from a magazine. This can result in a style of dieting which robs the body of nutrients. Someone who thinks of their body this way may fast to become thin but still struggle to climb a small hill. Or they may spend hours on the treadmill without stretching sufficiently, becoming more vulnerable to injury. Instead of either of these extremes, notice how your body feels. Do you feel as much energy as you did ten years ago? Are your joints as flexible as they were a decade ago?
And age shouldnt make too much of a difference! A healthy, balanced, and supremely self-aware human should be energetic, strong, self sufficient, and athletically inclined well into the golden years.
This level of awareness also comes from persistent, diligent meditation. Though most Westerners are trained to expect changes "overnight," this sort of lifestyle is a permanent, ongoing relationship between the mind and the various parts of the body, and it may take weeks to learn how to really "listen."
One may even uncover new perceptions of the concepts of "full," or "energy," and even discover that only portions of food need changed, not the diet itself. Or perhaps even better, one may finally be able to hear to body requesting, "dont put this food in me anymore!"

House plants do much more than decorate our home and office. Whenever we purchase new carpet, linens, home furnishings or dry cleaning, we bring the chemicals used on the products into our home. The same applies to the office. The volatile organic chemicals (VOCs) add to the air pollution in our homes, even when you can't smell them anymore. VOCs pollute the air enough to irritate your respiratory tract - causing headaches, sinus congestion, fatigue and much more.
NASA has proven that houseplants are an antidote to many household substances that debilitate our air quality, our health and lead to illness and disease. The plants absorb the VOCs, break them down, and eat them for food. Praise God for His wonderful plan!
Lots of living, healthy vegetation in our local environments is a must-have for balanced wellness. An environment rich with complex life gives off stronger vibrational frequencies, resulting in more energy for all inhabitants. Likewise, depression and lethargy are strongly linked to 'dead' environments, that is, environments without any plant or animal life, made from inorganic materials like concrete or metal. Consider the notion that animal life has evolved alongside that of plant life - our destinies are quite intertwined, and to exist without plants surrounding us is to create an environment in which we are simply not adapted.
For a healthier, energy rich, and cleaner environment, load it up with plants!

Nature has provided mechanisms both within and without the body to prevent, or attack and destroy cancer cells. Traditional chemotherapy rarely is as effective as rebalancing the body from a holistic perspective, and encouraging the body to heal itself with its millions-of-years-old mechanisms for fighting cancer and other disease. Traditional chemotherapy often kills its recipients in a faster, more painful way than cancer itself.
New scientific research is showing promising signs for Vitamin B-17, or Laetrile. Cultures which naturally consume this hard to find vitamin have little to no history of cancer. There are many plants which contain compounds which attack cancer cells, starve their growth, or prevent against their formation (such as other recent studies which show that Cannabis is also contains powerful anti-cancer agents). Peaces and plum pits are next on this list.

Before taking each bite, imagine chewing, swallowing and digesting the food over the next several hours. How will it make you feel? Do you imagine feeling light and energetic? Or will that next bite of food push you over the edge toward a bloated, energy-drained next several hours? When you get beyond the taste of the next bite and onto the feeling he food will give you, your motivation is much easier to shift away from food indulgence and toward feeling good!
When consuming food and nutrition, taste is important, however, it should never be the most important aspect. What is most important is always listening to what one's body needs, and how one believes one's body will react to whatever source of nutrition is available. This comes with steady patience, and spending every moment of one's life as aware of one's self and environment as possible. All of our personal health begins at this point - where nutrition meets our bodies - and as such, there are few things worth more attention than our food.

GROUNDING YOURSELF - On Physical Connection to the Earth, and Electromagnetic Fields
In the same way that modern buildings and appliances are grounded, placing your bare skin directly on the Earth physically grounds you. This grounding prevents a buildup of electricity and any potential interference that may occur as a result of that electrical buildup. While the practice of grounding is standard in the care and maintenance of current construction, somehow we've glossed over applying this understanding to our own bodies. We have, faithfully, been blocking the current from the Earth for years, the precise current, the flow, that we're designed to be connected to 24 hours a day.
Wearing shoes with rubber soles completely disconnects the Earth's flow into our body. Most people are physically lodged in a house or office all day, walking on asphalt, all while wearing shoes. This means that many of us are gliding through each day never discharging the buildup of free radicals imperceptibly reverberating around us.
The Earth is a limitless source of free electrons that stream into the body only when it is grounded. This infusion of negative ions from the Earth into the body and the discharge of destructive positive ions is essential for well-being. Excess positive ions in the body are associated with disease and degeneration. Negative ions are associated with vitality, good health, and healing. The more time you spend grounded, the less inflammation you are likely to experience, resulting in improved overall health, a sense of calmness, clarity, and vitality. Jumping into a body of water or simply touching the Earth with bare feet starts the process of these negative ions cascading up through your body clearing out positive ions—simple, free and amazing!

A healthy body frequency is 62-72 Hz . When the frequency drops, the immune system is compromised. Check out these very interesting findings: Human Body: Genius Brain Frequency 80-82 MHz Brain Frequency Range 72-90 MHz Normal Brain Frequency 72 MHz Human Body 62-78 MHz Human Body: from Neck up 72-78 MHz Human Body: from Neck down 60-68 MHz Thyroid and Parathyroid glands are 62-68 MHz Thymus Gland is 65-68 MHz Heart is 67-70 MHz Lungs are 58-65 MHz Liver is 55-60 MHz Pancreas is 60-80 MHz Colds and Flu start at: 57-60 MHz
Disease starts at: 58 MHz Candida overgrowth starts at: 55 MHz Receptive to Epstein Barr at: 52 MHz Receptive to Cancer at: 42 MHz Death begins at: 25 MHz Foods: (fresh foods and herbs can be higher if grown organically and eaten freshly picked): Fresh Foods 20-27 Hz Fresh Herbs 20-27 Hz Dried Foods 15-22 Hz Dried Herbs 15-22 Hz Processed/Canned Food 0 HZ According to Dr. Royal R. Rife, every disease has a frequency. He found that certain frequencies can prevent the development of disease and that others would destroy disease. Substances with higher frequency will destroy diseases of a lower frequency. The study of frequencies raises an important question, concerning the frequencies of substances we eat, breathe and absorb. Many pollutants lower healthy frequency. Processed/canned food has a frequency of zero. Fresh produce has up to 15 Hz, dried herbs from 12 to 22 Hz and fresh herbs from 20 to 27 Hz. Essential oils start at 52 Hz and go as high as 320 Hz, which is the frequency of rose oil. Clinical research shows that therapeutic grade essential oils have the highest frequency of any natural substance known to man, creating an environment in which disease, bacteria, virus, fungus, etc., cannot live. Every essential oil has a frequency and each of our organs and body parts have a frequency. The frequency of an oil will attract a like frequency in the body. Lower frequencies become a sponge for negative energy. The frequency is what stays in the body to maintain the longer lasting effects of the oil. Low frequencies make physical changes in the body. Middle frequencies make emotional changes in the body. High frequencies make spiritual changes in the body. Spiritual frequencies range from 92 to 360 Hz. (Bone frequency is 38-43; neck and down frequency is 62-68).

Breathing
Few people in Western society understand the most fundamental and most important aspect of maintaining personal health and wellness: deep breathing.
Now, we arent moving into meditation quite yet. Meditation is the act of removing all thought from the mind; a separate but highly related discipline which much be trained and maintained. Deep breathing is simply what it is, breathing deep enough to saturate all of the lung's tissues with air. When one first discovers this aspect of human health, it may require some small adaptations such as awareness of the muscles involved and awareness of the correct sensations of the lungs being filled. For some, being in a relaxed enough state to consume the air properly may also be an unfamiliarity.
Take a look at some of the effects of short breathing, spend a bit of time doing your own research on breathing and understand that the full and complete list of complications which arise from not breathing deep enough is not yet fully known by modern medicine. The most extreme case would be hyperventilation, which can not only be caused by anxiety, but can feed and perpetuate anxiety in a vicious cycle. An obvious way to alleviate anxiety (or panic) is to maintain deep breathing. Anxiety can be caused by not only poor body chemistry and excess toxification from poor diet and poorly combined foods, but from breathing short on the regular. Short breathing can (and in most cases certainly will) lead to hypertension, inflammation, poor digestion, reduced sensory capacity (even poor vision!), poor immune system, inefficient waste removal, poor cellular function, starved cells, anoxic areas of the body (cancers tend to form in anoxic areas), inability to manage stress, anger, frustration, anxiety, depression, excess hunger, reduced libido, and has even been linked to arthritis, IBS, Repetitive Motion Stress, and a host of other conditions. In addition to diet, changes in breathing habits/patterns can alleviate a single or many medical problems without the need for a physician's diagnosis, pharmaceutical drugs, or therapies.
There are many different types of deep breathing. Much like doing one's own research on short breathing is important, one should strive to dabble in all schools of thought which involve deep breathing exercise. Breath exercises can be used to channel areas to injured parts of the body, to deliver powerful blows in the martial arts, to completely relax the body and melt away stress, to fuel the body into perpetual motion, to overcome mental anxieties or depression, and to regulate pain. The exercises can range from the simple and no-excuse-not-to, to the more-experience-required or find-a-partner type. Many ancient cultures, such as the Chinese or Indian schools of wellness, to the classical Greek and Middle Eastern cultures, and even neolithic African cultures, have deep breathing exercises incorporated into daily life. One should practice relaxed, calm, serene deep breathing after consuming a large meal, not only to fuel the organs involved in digestion, but to provide more efficient metabolism and elimination of cellular waste. One should practice deep breathing while walking, moderating inhalations and exhalations with an even number of steps, to provide the muscles involved with locomotion the easiest mediums and least stressful environment possible. Have you ever felt frustrated when navigating a complex environment with many other persons moving about in their own way? Youre not taking in enough air, in a relaxed enough manner. Deep breathing exercises can be used to replenish energy and provide the body with a stream of negatively charged ions to channel energy around the body, and refresh one's self while standing in an elevator or waiting in a line. They can be used at a desk or in an office for the same reason, and deep breathing exercises can be used before bedtime to combat insomnia or restlessness (it shouldnt come as a newsflash that excess short breathing can increase these problems).
In general, when one breathes, one should breathe in through the nose and feel the center of the lungs fill, followed by the bottom 1/3 of the lungs filling. Beyond this sensation, one should feel the top 1/3 of the lungs fill last, at which point a breath is complete. A slow, relaxed, well controlled exhale followed by a short pause is required before the next lungful begins. Everything must be taken in and released in as relaxed and calm a manner as possible. Stressing the body while breathing defeats the purpose, dont force air down into the lungs. Here are a few links to get started on how to perform deep breathing exercises. Remember, there are potentially hundreds of different types, which can be used in laying, seating, or standing positions, which all have different uses.

If youre considering pharmaceutical options to help fight depression, it is worthwhile to first experiment with dietary changes. One may find that with deep breathing techniques and a more nutritionally robust and discriminately arranged diet, the depression will subside and clarity will resume. There may be no need for medical or psycho-pharmaceutical intervention at all (which has been shown to yield poor results as it is).

Chlorella is a green algae and spirulina is a blue-green algae which contain chlorophyllin and other nutrients that bind toxic compounds in the gut. They are both used as chelating agents of heavy metals and other toxins. They are readily available in most health food stores. Seaweed has a similar ability to inhibit absorption of toxins in the digestive tract.

Imagine that we’re test kitchen chefs for the Ruby Tuesday restaurant chain or the Nabisco Corporation or Pepsi-Cola (which also owns KFC and Taco Bell). Our goal is to create delicious food that people will crave and will return to buy in large quantities. How do we go about this? How do we create foods that activate the pleasure circuit so strongly that they override the satiety and body weight signals that would normally prevent overeating? Basically, we do this by exploiting the mismatch between the food landscape we humans have evolved to navigate (that of our distant ancestors) and that of the present.

Home made organic soaked nut and mushroom raw "burger" patties, with raw organic celery, and raw organic radish sprouts.
These are simple to make and fun to eat, plus theyre very filling and highly nutritious. The vitamins in nuts like cashews and pecans help regulate the nervous system, aiding in many areas such as sleep regulation, mood balancing, and appetite control (a handful of raw, organic, soaked cashews will likely help one's peace of mind more than any pharmaceutical antidepressant ever will). This meal is packed with protein as well, with immediately assimilable proteins from the nuts and sprouts, and powerful digestive enzymes in mushrooms (and nearly everything else, its all raw afterall). Soaking nuts allows for much better absorption of nutrients. Celery provides fibrous bulk for ease of movement through the digestive system.
Soak nuts overnight, put the nuts in a processor with mushrooms, himalayan pink salt, and your favorite organic spices, mold into patties, and place in a dehydrator for 4-5 hours. Flip the patties once about halfway through (dehydrate at 140d F for the first hour, turning down to 110d F for the final hours). Avoid using burger buns! Though this is the traditional manner of consuming a "burger," these are dry and safe enough to eat by hand. Breads mixed with proteins creates some competitive chemistry: breads require alkaline mediums to digest, while proteins require acidic medium. Combine the two, and digest neither (leading to fermenting, putrefying, toxic material in the bowels). Keep your carbs and your proteins 9-12 hours apart!
Its easy to remove the taste of the meal to the sideshow, and still come up with something very tasty and enjoyable. Focus more on digestibility, and nutritional content, and over time one will find a faster, clearer, stronger self as a result.

Bananas: not your typical fruit.
Bananas are an evolutionary dead end. A sterile mutation, bananas offer more trickery than just their need for cloning continuity. They dont digest like most fruits, and are more akin to a starch in the digestive mediums secreted by the mouth, stomach, and small intestines. Though they are quite nutritious and a great source for calories, they shouldnt be indiscriminately consumed with certain foods. As bananas require an alkaline medium in which to digest, mixing with acidic substances (oranges, coffee, or vinegar if thats your thing) will result in poor digestion. Mixing banans with a protein such as yogurt, eggs, or nuts/beans will result in acidic digestive mediums (required for protein) mixing with alkaline mediums (required for carbs, or oddballs like bananas), which neutralizes the digestive juices. The end result could be no digestion of the proteins, which will lead to a fattened belly filled with putrefying mass. Poor digestion leads to fermentation or putrefaction (or both) in the digestive system, which allows for toxins to seep into the blood. Most of the lethargy, minor sicknesses, and chronic pains people experience in life come from seemingly simple indiscriminate dietary choices. Even a nutritious diet can be consumed in bad combination, and result in high levels of toxicity. This occupies the immune system's attention, allowing for invasion of the body from microorganisms.
To achieve maximum nutrition and minimize the results of a bad food combo, bananas should be consumed alone. There is nothing wrong with having a banana-exclusive meal once in a while, and passing on this evolutionary mishap on a regular basis. As it is human intervention which keep bananas around, it is also human intervention which makes them one of the most popular fruits for Western store shelves and kitchen baskets. Without such a manipulation, Mother Nature would see bananas disappeared as soon as they were created. Bananas should play a minor role in the human diet, as our bodies are more adapted to consuming most other fruits. Bananas can, for some people, be combined with starchy or complex carbs, though one should start slow mixing these and feel the body out for sluggishness or drowsiness afterwards (usually the first sign of incompatible digestive elements). Bananas could be combined with sugar-fruits such as raisins, dates, dried figs, or prunes, though one should again feel the body out for hours afterwards. Everyone's body will react slightly different to bad combinations, so it is best to listen to yourself closely, and feel out the best route to dietary wellness via informed experimentation.

An interesting article I read through, stressing the importance of cooking fungi. Though I do advocate a dietary basis of greater than 51% of raw, organic vegetables, the human genus has been cooking for at least 400,000 years, long before the arrival of modern humans. There is even suggestive evidence that early man was able to control fire as early as 800,000 years ago. Cooking strongly changes the molecular properties of certain foods, and though it often renders most foodstuffs indigestible, nutritionless, or sometimes even toxic, there are certain foods that gain beneficial properties when cooked. An example of a beneficial property of cooking would be new antioxidants formed during the chemical reaction resulting from heat. Another good example is the destruction of harmful pathogenic agents living in the food prior to cooking. Bad examples, which are more often encountered, would be the formation of carcinogens, mutagens, or destruction of enzymes or nutrients.
Most raw mushrooms have cellular walls too difficult for human digestive enzymes to break down, and are discarded as insoluble fiber (missing out on the nutrition within). This can result in subsequent loss of nutrition from other foods woven into the mushroom mass by the gut. Raw mushrooms can also contain harmful pathogens, like bacteria or parasites. This threat can be lessened or negated depending on how the mushroom is cultivated, so it is always important to know the source from which your food is derived. Growing your own can be an option as well.
Rather than striving to find some set of rules to conform to to make dieting easy, one should actively seek out as much information on nutrition, diet, and healthcare at all times, in order to make the most dynamic and well educated decisions about diet whenever necessary. An example of how one may react to encountering the above situation is to stir fry the mushrooms with some other hard to digest vegetables (brussel sprouts, broccoli stems, etc), and consume additional raw vegetables mixed in after the stir-frying is done (cabbage, celery, spinach, etc). Take a complex decision and make it fun and experimental. There is no easy way out, if one wants to achieve perfect balance in wellness, but if personal wellness becomes a hobby, none of these decision points becomes difficult. One should strive to be the best one can be through sheer will.

An acidic balance will: decrease the body's ability to absorb minerals and other nutrients, decrease the energy production in the cells, decrease it's ability to repair damaged cells, decrease it's ability to detoxify heavy metals, make tumor cells thrive, and make it more susceptible to fatigue and illness. ...An acidic body is a sickness magnet.
All health and wellness originates from diet. Disease, sickness, fatigue, moods, all of these are derived from the resulting processes of what we put in our bodies, and how the molecules of our foods combine. We are living chemical reactions, and our digestive systems can be viewed as a laboratory: dont eat indiscriminately! Mixing the wrong chemicals together can and will result in poor health conditions. We dont need pharmaceutical drugs to heal the damage we do with indiscriminate food choices, we simply need to balance our diets and eat what we need.
Food is fuel!
