I’m so glad that I know what cognitive dissonance is and that I can identify when I experience it. It’s so nice to be able to say “they’re right, but this new information feels uncomfortable to have” and reassure myself “my brain is reacting negatively to this, not because it’s bad/wrong, but because it goes against the way I’ve always thought.” I love being self aware.

I love the ambiguity surrounding Fireboy and Watergirl’s relationship. Are they friends? Are they lovers? Are they siblings? Are they complete strangers that just ran into each other by chance and were like “Hold up, we actually make a pretty good team. Y’know, there are some other temples we can poke around at. Since we’re just so good at this.”? I have no idea what these guys got going on, but I fully support it.

I love that I saw this while thinking about making 7 deadly sins characters

the thing that bothers me with 7 deadly sin based characters is when they cant decide if they embody the sin by suffering from it or by drawing it out of others. ie. if your gluttony demon is a guy who loves eating then your lust demon should be a gooner sex pest. and if your lust demon is a seductive girlboss then your gluttony demon should be a 5 star chef. does this make sense.

This is exactly what I’ve been thinking for the past few days. I recently remembered these games exist and made it a goal to finish all of them. (I finished the third one earlier today.) The only reason my fixation hasn’t turned into a hyperfixation is because there’s no lore. There’s no meat for my little AuDHD brain to sink its teeth into.

Since you can leave the levels without collecting all the diamonds, I like to think that they’re explorers raiding the temples to get rich. OP is kinda right about them giving off orphan vibes tho, so idk. I might just say fuck it and write some lore myself, but if I do, it’ll probably be after I finish all the games.

No one asked, but my day has been frickin fantastic. I found a giant feather on my way to the bus stop. On the bus, I was stuck with creative inspiration by a very pretty fem. As I was leaving class, I found a shiny penny on heads. It was cloudy during my walk home, so I wasn’t as hot. And on my walk home, I found a squishy of Louise from Bob’s Burgers. (I don’t even watch Bob’s Burgers, but the squishy was adorable, so I picked it up.) I feel like every force in the known universe came together to give me an awesome day today. Thank you, Universe! 💖✨

Asked a very similar question a few days ago. I’m transmasc genderfluid (constantly either a guy, enby, or somewhere in between) and I’m pan. I want to interact with lesbian blogs because I still feel gay for women, but a lot of them have “men dni.” I get confused as to whether or not I’m allowed to interact, so I usually chose not to. It’s nice to know other people also struggle with this, but damn, it’s not fun. 😅

I do not ask this out of malice but what do you do when you're a genderfluid lesbian and you want to follow an lesbian nsft blog with men dni in their bio.. do u not interact with it at all if you're a guy at a particular day. What if you are bigender are you only allowed to interact with the blog within 12 hours. What if you're a wet slurry of every single gender identity ever but you're 50.1% of what most would consider to be a girl. Many things to consider

Y’all, I am too fucking gay to be left alive. So, I get on the bus to go to class and I sit down near this really frickin hot fem. Purple streaks in their hair, septum piercing, combat boots, the works. And my dumb ass thinks “Wow, they’re so pretty… I should draw them.” So, in that 15-minute bus ride, I sketch them out as best as I can and take as many notes on their appearance as possible so I can keep working later. Y’all, I’ve never seen this person before and I might never see them again, but to have seen them at all was a fuckin blessing.

Does anyone else think the concept of self-plagiarism is… kinda dumb?

For those who’ve never heard this term before, self-plagiarism is basically republishing/resubmitting your own work without crediting the original publication/submission. From my experience, it’s commonly discussed (and prohibited) in college classes. Those classes usually don’t let you resubmit work from other classes at all, even if you cite it.

Actual plagiarism is stealing someone else’s work and presenting it as your own.

By definition, you can’t plagiarize yourself. I understand certain situations where you wouldn’t want students to do this. For example, maybe the paper was poorly written and they’d get a better grade if they redid it since they’ve gained more writing experience. Or maybe they cited facts that were believed to be true when they originally wrote the paper, but were since proven untrue. However, I don’t think they should be considered plagiarism, especially since it can completely wreck a student’s academic reputation.

The reason that college professors usually give as to why self-plagiarism isn’t allowed is because they want their students to produce new, original work for the class to prove they absorbed the material. But if a student already produced work that proves they understand the material, would forcing them to write it again not be a complete waste of time? It feels like something just made up by teachers to force their students to do more work than necessary.

I know this is random as hell, but with every new college semester comes a review of the plagiarism policy, and I start thinking about this all over again.

Okay, most of us know about T4T, but is Q4Q also a thing? Or some other term that basically means “a queer person who only dates other queer people”? Cuz I’m pan, so I technically could date a cishet person, and I’m not completely opposed that, but just looking at my platonic relationships, I usually feel a lot more comfortable around my fellow queers than I do around cishet people. It’s easier for me to relax and be myself with other queers not just because we’re queer, but because a lot of queer people are also neurodivergent and have “cringy” (said with love) interests, which is also something we would have in common. So realistically, if I ever find someone I wanna be with forever, it’s most likely gonna be another queer person. It just got me wondering if there’s actually a term for this or if it’s just so common for queer people to only date other queer people that there was never a need to label it.
