shout out to my friend who, when I asked my friends if I could bring my cane to the mall for the first time, said I looked like a badass pimp. you are the sole reason I now feel comfortable using my mobility aides.

A little tip to my fellow trans folks who need to secretly wash your binder. I found this out because I have transphobic parents so I cant hand wash it and air dry. Wash it as a delicate. if your washer/dryer was a delicates setting wash it on that. it usually uses cold or room temp water with like a slower spin. I just go and wash my jeans and my joint braces so it's not just my binder(s) and then put it on a delicates dry which is the same it's a lower temp and a lighter tumble thing. so yeah! there's my thing that I learned and I thought it might help other people in my situation :)))

we all got that one "friend" who refuses to except that other people have problems. so much so you're afraid to tell them things in fear that they will try and invalidate you

ok, I need some advice and help. I have been having really bad hip pain and as its one of my "newer" pains I haven't quite worked out how to deal with it. because it hurts when standing, hurts when sitting, and hurts when laying down. any advice and tips would be life saving. please and thank you!

what's the point I know that if it came down to it everyone would choose another person over me, always so I don't know why I care so much. You can call me your brother your friend but I know you would choose everybody over me. so why do I try?

there is nothing better then when you show someone something that is really like important to you, like a thing you collect or a comfort show and they just say that it makes a lot of sense and that (in case of like movies or books) they can see where some of your personality comes from.

the only thing that should be romanticized is the ending of howls moving castle. whether the book or the movie it should 100% be romanticized

it’s okay to do things that make your symptoms worse (as long as you’ll stay safe)

every once in a while you need to eat something yummy. or go on a walk. or a trip to the zoo. take a hot shower. cry your eyes out. dance. listen to music. draw for way to long. write. laugh. sit in a cafe with a friend. paint your nails. dye your hair. go on a run. pet a cat

sometimes you need to do things that are cathartic or make yourself feel alive. sometimes you need the reminder of why you’re fighting so hard to stay alive

this is your reminder that just because it makes your symptoms worse, it isn’t always the wrong thing to do. there can be value in these actions
