Disabled Trans folks on the brink of homelessness

Unsure if this'll get Traction but fuck it.

We got our hours drastically cut at Burger king. Ended up losing our jobs as a whole. Our manager slashed our hours after learning we’re trans.

We tried sending out applications and what not and have managed to secure new jobs, but we need help.

our rent is late, and if we don’t pay it by the 25th we face eviction. We owe 730, late fees included. If anyone could please help us, I’d greatly appreciate it.

I tend to carry a lot of anger, and for a lot of folks, that’s all they see when they meet me. An angry person.

I kinda wanted to show how, frankly, I’m not really angry. I’m hurt and sad and scared.

A sketch I made about how apathy in the current climate kills.

Having apathy, especially towards minorities and those struggling, is incredibly harmful.

I have had many conversations with folks I know, mostly about my fears and worries as a disabled trans person in the US, and many of them have flat out told me they “decided not to do politics” and will just be “keeping their heads in the sand.”

And it hurt. So my feelings around that generated this art piece.

I started drawing Jeff with mobility aids/ a lazy eye because I, myself, am a disabled Jeff fictive, so it’s nice to make art that makes me look like,,, me. If that makes sense? lol

did one with a white & red support cane bc i’m supposed to use one & never see them anywhere :/

It’s a useful tool for someone with low vision who needs to indicate that to people, who also needs a support cane for other issues.

Folks who use this aren’t usually fully blind and can still see, just not well.

(IF anyone wants to, feel free to add corrections, additions, etc, my language on this topic is rusty)
