One time I had a dream where I was totally lucid, walking through a mall that had loud 90s arcade carpeting and curved walls, and only sold merch from either Pokemon or Star vs The Forces of Evil (for some reason) I remember being super disappointed by the selection. A group of strangers walked by, and I felt super awkward about being perceived in such a space. Then it hit me that I was dreaming. Suddenly I was no longer lucid, and my dream-self started to move independently. He started screaming things like "I know this is a dream! You can wake up now!" audibly angry that he was in a dream, and that I was the one putting him through this. This happened years ago, and remains the most unnerving dream I've ever had.

Bad TTRPG Idea
Altered-Egos
You play as a group of ordinary humans with human responsibilities, who discover a portal to an Altered world of make-believe, where they become make-believe versions of themselves, and now have to fight the forces of evil. The catch is that you still have to balance your human life with time spent in the Altered world as you go back and forth between them. Normal slice of life drama mixed with fantasy combat and adventure.
So, you're a normal group of high schoolers who have their sketchbooks confiscated, and in an attempt to get them back, find themselves in the Altered world, looking like the characters they were sketching.
Or a bunch of gamers who got early access to an MMO they've never heard of, and installing it pulls them into the game world.
Printed character sheets would be double-sided, so you physically flip it over whenever you switch between worlds.

My mom asked me to cut an onion for her. I asked her how she wanted it. She jokingly said, "in the shape of a swan." I said, "k."

Randomly remembered that time my mother got *super offended* by Roodaka's skulls on her chestplate, freaking out that something targeted towards kids would do something *so inappropriate* Meanwhile, she was totally fine with Ariel's physics-defying sea shells. Nothing wrong there. Or the Justice League Unlimited having Wonder Woman fighting crime in a one-piece swimsuit. Perfectly fine. Or the children's anatomy book she gave us that wasn't shy about showing anything/everything. We can leave the kids unsupervised with that. No big deal. But the robot. The robot is where she decided to draw the line. Got it.

Bad RPG Idea
Everyone puts their "type" into a hat, and everyone draws one at random. They then each have to build a character using what they drew as their foundation, no matter what it is. The campaign can be whatever you want, but with the additional goal of guessing who's type you're playing as before the campaign ends.
A more tame version could just be that everyone puts a fictional character in the hat, and then the game becomes trying to guess who everyone is, and who put each character in the hat initially.

Why is it that whenever two characters in a show/book start dating, they start arguing more and more, split up, stop talking to each other, slowing the rest of the story down with their unnecessary drama. Why can't two people just make each other happy instead of being used as a leverage point to create more drama? Are the writers stupid?

Cursed Baking Tip: Add a pea-sized drop of ketchup to brownie mix to keep it more moist for longer without impacting the flavor. I don't really get the science behind it, but it works. Also, mix the wet ingredients first, then add the mix last, fold it together with a spatula instead of a whisk to avoid over-mixing.

Heroes that have a no-killing rule are cool and all, but what about a villain with a no-killing rule? And not the, "keep you barely alive in torturous agony" kind. I mean "I will take what I want without spilling a single drop of blood." kind. Powerful enough to keep the heroes at bay without needing to kill them. A villain that can truly take the moral high ground over a hero that lacks restraint.

Can You Build X in a Dungeon?
First episode, a Lich is building his underground dungeon. Wants to spice it up. Add some decorations. He calls up some fantasy dungeon contractors to help him out. He wants a fountain that flows actual water. That means they gotta run pipes all the way down, which means X needs to happen, and that Z can't be built the way he wanted it.
Every episode revolves around the same team being hired by different villains to improve their dungeons, all in a way that's somewhat educational when it comes to how renovating a home actually works.

Anyone else in the TTRPG community that is also aro/ace do that thing where the idea of actually flirting/being flirted with is repulsive, but the moment someone else's fictional character flirts with your fictional character you get all, :sparkle:  :sparkle:   :sparkle:
y'know?

Code Lyoko: The Game
The players are ordinary boarding school students who also have access to a supercomputer that allows them to enter the Virtual World and fight off an evil Virus that can alter reality.
You get the social roleplay of a slice of life highschool setting, combined with the heroics and stakes and unique environments of whatever genre you want the virtual world to be.
The Hacker: Runs the supercomputer. Loads the others into the virtual world and extracts them when necessary. Has full view of the virtual world and all of the monsters waiting for them. Can alter the terrain. Can prevent the Virus from summoning more troops. Generally provides support for the Warriors.
The Warriors: The ones actually going into the virtual world. They're the ones that get the unique weapons and skills. Fighting virtual monsters is the fun part, sure, but the goal is to reach the Tower with the Program.
The Program: The member of the team that is originally from the Virtual World, and is the only one that can deactivate Towers: the virtual constructs that the Virus uses to impact the real world.
Work as a team to deactivate the towers and save the day.
This probably already exists, but, whatevs. Post now
