Unhealthy Habits

Loving what I cannot see

Having more faith in you than what I did in me

This presence inside of me glows

It tells me something’s off about you and me

Yet I find myself longing for you

I miss you everyday but I don’t have the desire to make you mines permanently

Seems like you happy in your new state of mind

Can’t come up with the words to say to you except bye

My discipline is key

Bad habits form in many shapes in sizes

I’d cry but it won’t help me any

I have no tears to waste if it only wavers ya “faith”!

Be strong in stance, it may not be right but I ain’t wrong for being me

Continue to love myself freely

Grow thru pains life brings

Getting rid of these unhealthy habits that burden me

Attracted 2 Hate

We degrade our temples

Follow trends instead of being original

Poison ourselves w/ thoughts of self destruction

All before we know our names...

Peer-pressured into foolish mistakes

Creating bad habits that last long like ages

Strip each other naked over diamonds & chains

All before we were ever set free...

Black men wanting what we see on IG & TV

Complaining about love but looking 4 it in all the wrong places

Expecting her to cater for our ever single whim

As if we cared about how she felt in the 1st place...

Black women feeling appropriated

Finding love in all the wrong spaces

Saying you want a “ gentleman “ but love being roughly disrespected

As if you were Attracted 2 Hate!

Love

What does love mean exactly & does it even exist in human form

I’d give you my heart & it ain’t much to you but everything to me

Sometimes I wonder who can I really trust

I could never give myself away to anyone your words only just ain’t enough

It don’t work so easily

It take a lot to be w/ me

I’ll keep my options held freely

While you decide just who you be

I see disaster in willow trees

My minds eyes say you fooling me

I don’t believe nothing I can’t see

Except God & him only

I won’t expect anything from you

I’m free single to do me

I don’t even feel connected to blood relative

So what makes you think you could ever mend this hole in my heart?

The stars are not ours

Even with reach so close that we can taste the mercury

they belong to the sky

the dimension only astral planes reach

we don’t own ourselves

Even though free will makes you think so

we belong to the light

It’s only up to us to awaken from the dark

we don’t hold each other’s heart

Oddly enough we give them away to our selective superficial suitors

they have home of their own

Within the most high first then yourself a close 2nd

they have will to choose

Who & who doesn’t get to be apart of this special energy

they have their own dominion

I pray I don’t become the lost ball in

High weeds

Out here danglin’

Stragly running thru pocket change; trying to make sense of it all

Auntie use'ta tell me long time ago that I’d grow and this world would get cold

I just hope it’s not too late for her and my sakes

So I wander off into the world

Hoping I’ll find the Right Way

Corn fields to my left

Sunflowers to my right

I’m leaving Auntie’s home behind me

I’ve got nothing but my clothes

And some change in my pockets

As I set off to the adventure of my life

Wondering where I will arrive

Recipe 4 Writing "Nighttime Lonely Remedy: 1/2 Cup of Chamomile Tea: To soothe my soul from anxiety 1 gram of perfectly rolled joint of Medical Indica Weed: Easing my mind and making me feel free 1 Notepad: 4 blurting out all these crazy thoughts that pop in my head A moment of meditation: Centering myself back to this hell on Earth but paradise inside my mind while it's racing A shot of Peach Ciroc on the Rocks: Mellowing me out from slavery ( I mean my usual day of work) A hint of positive energy: Because that's all you really need Heartache: To bring out that extra flavor of pain & passion into your bloodstream as you write out all the feelings you keep bottled waiting for someone or something 2 vent to of your own yet you sleep restless nights all alone..."
