DC x MCU/ Spiderman prompt
Spidey being a little too weird around the Batfamily :)
I like the Batman x Spider-man crossovers, with all the flavor that these stories have. Peter getting stuck in Gotham for one reason or another, being a sort of vigilante while dealing with the obstacles and challenges of returning home and the BATFAM investigating him and trying to coexist with him and all the interactions that occur, with Grayson and Jason being older brothers (sometimes father figures), the friendship/rivalry/partners in crime with Tim and Damian and chaos gremlins with the other bats and birds and some villains (?) and with Bruce and his opinions about metas but with the impulse to protect and maybe adopt a child in a vulnerable situation in Gotham, and Peter not wanting any of it, but eventually agreeing against his better judgment and other people's advice (said advices coming mostly from the Wayne children).
That's all great, but you know what's a scenario i really love? When all of the above happens, but the bats know little to nothing about Peter, about his power and who or waht he is, but they care about him and want to help, and Peter being aware of the mystery that he is and being a little shit, doesn't deny nor confirm any information that Gotham or the bats proclaim about him and what his powers are and how they work, having fun adding his own inaccurate facts about his own nature and his spider-side, becoming less and less like a human child in a suit and more like a spider-mutant, or an alien with a human appearance to the perception of everyone else, making comments, inventing increasingly weird and creepy facts or attributes on purpose because it's fun to mess with the sanity of Gotham's vigilantes.
This is especially funny when you imagine it with the MCU Peter, specifically Homecoming Peter, a barely teenager who proclaims to be the son of a giant mutant spider made from the dna of all the spiders in the world and human dna, which might be even more concerning to others when he's acting like his lovable, clumsy, slightly sarcastic self but has disturbing habits like growling and hissing at criminals, contouring his body in ways that wouldn't be possible without breaking his spine, wrapping his food in webbing, and sucking the food out instead of biting and starting to chew, oh and the unhinged crawling and stalking. But other than that Peter is really nice and Spider-man is too.
Bonus points if the bats have never seen his face because Peter has never met them outside of the Spider-Man suit, and the bats want to be understanding, they try not to be judgmental because they care about Peter, but damn that kid is creepy! And meanwhile Peter is having the time of his life, having fun and relaxing at being a hero while messing with other heroes while swinging in his webbing hammock he set up in the corner of the Batcave after a long night of patrolling.
No one remembers telling him where the cave was...
