Doing that which is normal won't get you anything great. Normal is staying overweight and unhealthy. Normal is not going for a run or a walk because you are tired. Changing your body requires discipline during pain, because it is painful to be hungry, achy and sore. It is annoying to change your habits from sleeping to getting up an hour early just to workout. I prefer to be weird. I prefer to be sore and hungry because in the end this will help me get to my ultimate goal which is A HEALTHY BODY. I could add years to my life, I could be active and say that I am proud of my body because I earned it. I have fought so much against my fatty mindset and hormones but I don't regret it one bit. Practise makes perfect. These visions where only people in shape are allowed to show their fitness journey is wrong. I am far more inspired by the obese mother of 2 and a job working out to increase their health than the gymshark fitness model with multiple surgeries that works out as a job. But we normal people can improve. My genetics are prone to obesity, I have always been obese. But I will get to the best weight my genetics allow me to. I am not 225lbs like I was a while ago. What's the best me I can be? I want to vibe with people that fight to improve themselves daily. In fitness and in life this is very inspiring to me. People that achieve significant things are so obsessed about their goals that they are boring to talk to, because all their focus is on their goal. Normal is to eat whatever one pleases and stay obese, unhealthy and overweight, but waking up early and working out is not normal, not average. This is a relaxing sunday morning after my workout. I am now following a nutritionist's guidance due to struggling to carry on with my weightloss and putting 8lbs back on during christmas. Part of being strong is also admitting when one needs help. I am now on a day 2 of a 3 day detox diet to restart my weightloss. This journey has not been lineal at all! But what's the alternative? Giving up is not! I am now on a 1600calorie diet rather than the 1200 I was on before. This is more sustainable for me. It is a race, not a sprint! Can't wait to eat normal again as I am not enjoying the lack of protein during these three days 😤 . Has anyone done detox before?
