please excuse my measurement stuff, I'm an american but I did my best

Hal is 6' 2'' / 187.96 centimeters and 186 lbs / 84 kg

Barry is 6' 0'' / 182.88 centimeters and 195 lbs / 88 kg

yeah that's not much of a difference but people tend to act like Hal is much bigger than Barry, its often in fanart and fanfic and while everyone is allowed to have their headcanons, I've seen height differences that only have Barry going up to Hal's shoulder and Barry looks like a twig while Hal looks like a door

So while yes Hal is taller, Barry has more mass, which I think makes more sense because he needs more muscle to run as much as he does, and to be able to carry full grown (and rather large) people as he runs.

Okay, We are all used to it and many love the current Bruce, secretive and emotionally constipated... And I know poor communication is a trope in their life at this point...

But, man, sometimes I miss the old Bruce, when it was just Dick and him, and Bruce didn't mind telling people he loved that kid like his own son, who tells Dick that he would rather lose his arms than him, that he couldn't even think of replacing him, who played with him and that was more important than anything.

Ok but this Steph panel from Secret Origins 80-Page Giant (1998-) #1 literally broke me

Like for a few pages she tells her life story and it's soo good but seeing this at the end just makes my heart ache. Honestly she would make such an amazing mom and I hope that in another universe she got to keep her baby and live the life she deserves.

Au where Dick adopted Jason instead of Bruce. Dick who is doing this out of concern for another kid and not wanting him to face the hardships of living with Bruce. Jason who is so excited to have a cool young dad.

Dick: Please stop calling me dad, im only 7 years older than you Jason: Ok dad :) Dick: *sighs in acceptance*

But after being his dad for 3 years they love each other sooo much and Dick would burn the world down for him. Also Jay becomes Robin but now he is Nightwings sidekick

Dick is planning on canceling a mission with the Titans because he doesn't want to leave Jason on earth while he is in space but Jason tells him it's ok and he can handle spending a few weeks at Bruce's place because he's 15 years old for crying out loud.

Dick leaves and the Joker gets Jason

Bruce didn't tell Dick because he was going through it and he didn't want Dick to come home immediately, the mission needed Nightwing.

When Dick gets back he is excited to see his son, when he sees the newspaper. His son is dead and he missed the funeral. He is absolutely devastated and storms over to the manor where he and Bruce have their worst fight yet. He ends up beating Bruce so bad they weren't sure he was going to make it.

Next he goes to the Joker and kills him with his bare hands. Batman resurrects him but Dick kills him again, this time getting the message across. 

When Jason wakes up in the pit he screams for his dad. He refuses to work for the league because he knows that his dad loves him. He finds a way to escape and flee to Blüdhaven. 

Jason knocks on the door of his apartment. Dick opens it and freezes 

Jason: You look sickly dad, what happened?

Dick completely breaks down. His sweet baby boy who would reenact Shakespeare monologue for him and bake brownies (and scold Dick for trying to add Weed to them) was back and built like a tank. Jason flings himself at his dad, who had lost so much weight and had eyebags that looked like bruises, and they both fall to the floor. 

He still becomes Red Hood, just without the drug lord and murder bit. Tim becomes Robin and later they find out about Damian (Jason hates himself for running away before he knew about Damian) and life goes on.
