I am not a "content creator" I am a writer and artist. I do not make the works that an audience demands, or that I think will be popular. I make the works that I'm passionate about, when I'm passionate about them.

This was actually insanely helpful!!! I already have an outline or try to at least have one for most stories and I'd argue it's probably the best thing you can do lol, turns out the story i'm writing that I decided to do without an outline is the one where i'm the most blocked lmao!!
And the drink or snack thing - YES!!! Why is it that having a drink by me helps me focus more?? Is it the feng shui or the idea of not having to get up?? Either way, very helpful!!
For the rest, i'll def. give them a try, specially the notebook one although most of the time when I look for things it's dumber stuff like 'is this word spelled like this' or things like that lol. Thanks a lot!!1
Anybody have any advice on how to write faster?? Like idk little tips and tricks or tools maybe to use (NOT TALKING ABOUT GENAI although maybe other AI like voice to text maybe might be useful but i'd like to know other people's opinions on voice to text and such) bc i'm having some trouble with writing now that I have some free time from Uni.

Whimsigothic masc. fashion icons
I complaint a lot about fashion things online, mostly because I can, but I never actually do anything to make things better so I thought today i'll take one of my criticisms of one of my fave aesthetics and actually do something for once.
I always thought online aesthetics in general clearly catter to femme presenting and hyperfemme ppl, which is awesome! Feminine fashion tends to allow for more creativity and any attempt at being more butch or masculine tends to either end up not reading as that aesthetic or being quite feminine either way. Whimsigothic, a fashion style I've seen online for a long time and I consider myself a part of (to some extent) is very, very feminine. As someone who likes more masculine clothes sometimes, I refuse to bow to this idea!!
So, to help mascs and butches enter online aesthetics (and to help any cis men that might want to stop dressing boring but still masc) I decided to try and nail down some aspects of whimsigoth that can be used in masculine clothing. Here's a list and i'll add photos too of some characters for inspo (feel free to add more!!)
Shirts: shirts in dark colors like plum, burgundy, dark blue, emerald green, even mustard yellow, white and black. Prince or pirate style blouses should be enough to sell the vintage, gothic inspiration, with frilly necks and bigger sleeves. Extra points if they're patterned. Now I personally prefer shirts unbuttoned slightly because I like my style to feel more laid back and chill in a way, but this is up to you!
Pants: tight, dark pants, made of leather or even velvet if you manage to find them, are a good option to give a gothic, ancient vibe. I think looser, balloon pants don't get utilized enough specially by men so they could also be a good option and could serve to add the Stevie Nicks' esque flare to the outfit.
Jewelry: same jewelry as the girls. stop being a pus' and wear those long ass necklaces if you like. Or don't if you don't!
Shoes: tall boots are an obvious choice, but vintage and thrifted dress shoes can also work. Sandals for the summer might be a good option if you manage to find some that look somewhat vintage and ancient, and a little whimsical.
Jackets: vintage and thrifted looking jackets are best. If you look at some whimsigothic inspiration leather isn't always present but a long leather coat might be a good choice, however if you can find jackets that have patterns and more glamorous details like brocades or embroidery then go for it.
Other stuff: dress vests are a must. The whimsigoth aesthetic is not one that's very easy to pull off in a chill way (ask me how I know!) but you can definetly try if you go back to the inspiration. And obviously, experiment! Whimsigoth has so many inspirations and drinks from many things so don't be afraid to explore those and even other aesthetics that might be similar. Make the style your own!!!
Here's some inspo I think can be usefull for my mascs wanting to look a little teen-witchy:

Mary Shelley: this creature was made from human remains and was basically a giant baby, and Victor abandons him to his luck and the creature has to essentially learn about the world alone and scared in a society that hates him for his existence. The monster, in this case, is hard to identify. Also it's a metaphor for motherhood AND god like powers and maybe transhumanism ig
Someone who's never read the book: is this about AI?
I saw a tweet from someone saying 'Frankenstein warned us about AI and something non-human acting human' and like... no??? that's NOT what Frankenstein is about??? The monster is very much very human wtf ???? Do people read with their eyes closed or???

I've complained about medieval aesthetics being watered down before on here but I probably hate the way mermaid aesthetics are done even more.
Like i'm sorry... if your 'mermaid aesthetic' is all about being very glam and over the top and very goddess like you're doing it wrong in my eyes!!! I want to look like a freshly-turned-human mermaid!!! I want DIYed jewels and clothes worn in ways they're not suppossed to (skirt as a top or as a dress, dress worn as a scarf, etc)!!!! I want innovation I want seashells and things that remind me of the ocean amidst looking like I don't know how to dress myself BECAUSE I DON'T I HAD A FIN TWO DAYS AGO!!!!
It's another case of an interesting concept being completely taken over by fast fashion. No innovation, no creativity, and no DIY. You buy clothes for the summer to feel like a mermaid and feel glam and fish, and then you throw them away because that aesthetic doesn't fit anymore.
(You can also wear it in the winter if you trully love it but that requires some creativity and Ig that's asking too much!!)

Things I never see people mention when discussing and analyzing Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë:
Hindley's abuse towards both Cathy and Heathcliff since childhood, which is a NEED to discuss!!
Heathcliffs youth when he's still somewhat likeable or at least still has some goodness within him
Cathy literally commiting s word essentially out of spite?? Everyone says 'she dies in childbirth' and forgets to mention she STARVES HERSELF OUT OF SPITE
Edgar being part of the problem with how posh and rich kid he is
Heathcliff winning Wuthering Heights and gaining full control by essentially getting Hindley to gamble it bc he's an addict. The Hindley dies.
Helen might not be very reliable but she definetly seems to be the voice of reason lol, also no one mentions how she calls people out??? THAT'S THE BEST PART??
Thanks for coming to my ted talk
