im 14k words into a JD fic

it’s a “slow burn” but dear fuck it is REALLY SLOW. i’m not even kidding when i say the main ships have only just recently had a few special moments together, BUT i’ve tried my best to write as close to paola’s style as possible and the plot twists surprise even me sometimes so i think i’m doing something right

tbh i don't even get how people hated on s2 jackson.

he was litteraly depressed and people called him emo

i love the way paola introduces characters

i remember when i first read jd, i thought Pamela would be a background character or someone for just that one soup spill scene

BOY WAS I WRONG and am i so glad to have her 💕

And Ron! i thought it was kinda late to be introducing more main characters but she kept going

even in ep 50 with the DKs (detention kids), somehow Paola was able to pull that off. just like how irl people come into our lives when we least expect it

and DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED WITH ELIJAH!! AND KEN’S SIBLINGS!!! AND—

i don’t understand why people are hating on jd so much lately.

if you don’t enjoy it anymore then that’s fine. whatever. just move on. you don’t have to stay. yes, the fandom will be smaller but it will be kinder.

Personally i think the pacing is fine. i like all the protagonists. i like the canon ships. and ofc there are non-canon ships that i love

but that’s not a reason to hate Paola. this is her story. let her tell it how she wants.

if you want to change it, then go ahead. no one is stopping you from making that canon divergence fanfiction. just don’t use AI because then you’re admitting you shouldn’t judge anyone for what they produce since you can’t make anything yourself.

im glad people are expressing their opinions, but don’t say it like it’s a fact. it’s just your own thought that you agree with.

NOTHING IS GETTING DONE !!! The plot moves as slow as a snail and ever since Jackson’s diary because like, human form, I don’t really find pleasure in reading it anymore cuz the diary is so annoying.

The only part of the story I DO really like is David’s lil side story and him dealing with his trauma about William. But it’s barely been mentioned. Nothing is getting accomplished anymore. All they do is have useless conversations about Exer’s magic and talk about things the readers already know. Which makes it a boring read now.

It kinda feels like Paola is losing passion for this webcomic. Which is sad cuz JD was one of my favs for a long time but now I barely read it :C

I know the main plot of the comic is the diary but ever since the diary acquired a "human form" I skip most of the scenes since he's so annoying, I really preferred it as a very cryptic book instead :(

1. Ken x Brenda and Elijah x Brenda have no chemistry and it feels forced as a way to make the story more “interesting”, like not every character has to be in a relationship💔

2. Ronald x Timothy have a bit of chemistry but their relationship feels forced too, they’d make really good friends though (a bit biased cuz i was kinda rooting for aroace Ronald)

3. It feels like all they do is talk about stuff instead of the story progressing

4.This confession is more silly but i hate Ronald’s stupid shaved sides hairstyle in season 3 we gotta bring back his episode 22 hairstyle it was my favorite
