A Shared Day

Hero work was tiring but like anything in life it was worth the reward. Sure, people flocked to him. Sure, he was always busy. And sure, his time was limited. But, when his time was free, he was stuck to your side like glue.

Today was one of those days. He finally got a day off from hero work, so his plan was to be with you of course!

The morning started late, the both of you slept together. You were wrapped up in his arms as his large red wings splayed across the bed, covering you aswell. The bright red feathers, held a pleasant weight against your skin. Like a large, warm, blanket.

The sun shone through the windows, making you hide under his wings to enjoy the darkness for a bit longer.

Hidden under his wings and in the dark you proceeded to sleep for a few more hours, only waking when hunger struck. You nudged his side as you tiredly crawled out of bed. In all honesty, you still didn't want to leave the bed. But if you didn't wake Hawks by leaving the bed, you would've woke him from how loud your stomach growled.

His only response was a cracked open eye and a groan.

"I'll be back Babe, just gunna go start breakfast."

He flips the covers off his body, the blankets flying haphazardly onto the bed as he rolled off the mattress and onto his feet. "What time is it? I don't wanna get up yet-" He complains.

You chuckle as you walk out your shared room and padded towards the kitchen. "It's already 11 Hun, we should get up before the day passes us by." You clang around in the kitchen in your pajamas, working to make breakfast.

As you made breakfast time flew by. Scrambled eggs were soon plated and just as you turned around to take said plates to the table, a handful worth of feathers came and took the plates from you.

Turning around you squeaked in surprise as Hawks was directly behind you. "Awe~ What a cute noise that was." He teases as he pulls you close by your waist. "Think you can do it again? Just for me."

You rolled your eyes and bumped your hip against his side as you walked away. "Don't scare me Babe, or else you won't have breakfast." You threatened.

His jaw dramatically dropped as he gasped in mock offense. "You would dare take food from a hero?!"

You sat at the table and started eating without him. Dropping his Oscar-worthy acting, he came to sit across from you at the table and began eating.

He made small talk as you both finished your food and cleaned the dishes together. Once finished you lean against him with a dramatic sigh. "I can't tell if I wanna go back to bed or go through the day like a shot zombie..."

He chuckles and pets your head. "Aw Baby." Knowing he was teasing you, not using a name of endearment, you elbowed him. "I'm not a baby! You just didn't let me sleep last night. I love your cuddles, but I do need to breathe."

He smirks. "You know you can't stay mad at me, I'm far to cute." He says as he presses a kiss to the crown of your head. You sigh in response before going back to your room.

Nearly an hour later, you had managed to get Hawks dressed (more accurately, forced him) and out the door.

The day prior he had promised to take you for a fly, something you loved doing with him. It was something for the two of you, and you only.

The moment you were outside and on the sidewalk, his arms swooped under your legs and back as he took off. He shot into the sky like a rocket, making the biggest smile cross your face.

Making swoops and dips, you both dart through the city. People down below looked like ants as they looked up as your shadow zipped by.

"Was this all you wanted from today?" He asks as he flies a bit slower, the leisurely pace making the howling wind quiet. "It was what I was looking forward to most. If you wanna do something, I'm game."

He suddenly changes direction and zooms through the sky making a yelp escape you. Buildings blur at his speed as he makes his way to an unknown destination.

Before you knew it, you were placed on the ground, hair windblown and clothes ruffled. He straightened out your clothes and patted down your hair, apologizing quietly under his breath.

"Where are we?" You asks as he pulls the hair out of your eyes. "Highest spot in the city, or course!"

The moment you could see, you held his hand tightly. "You ass! I thought you would go somewhere nice, not somewhere to kill me!" He held your hand tightly in response. "Kill you? Never! I just wanted you to see what I see everyday."

He helps you to sit safely before you both looked over the city together. "It's peaceful, watching all the little people go about their lives. Reminds me how human I am."

You gaze at the small dots swarming about on the ground before looking to him. "It is pretty nice, it would be nicer if I could fly. Maybe then I wouldn't freak out as much." You chuckle lowly.

He wraps his arm around your shoulder, pulling you to his side and having you lean against him. "You? Fly? Don't make me laugh! You could never fly straight nonetheless keep up with me."

She smiles at his bragging mixed with teasing. "You're right, I don't need to fly. I can always have you carry me around, bird boy." You poke his cheek as he pouts at the name. "Bird boy? Really? That's the best you got."

"No, it's the nicest I got." You corrected

"Oh really? Gimme your best then, I'm curious." He challenges. Without missing a beat you blurt out, "Okay, prepackaged pillow stuffing."

He looks at you with a surprised look in his eye. "No hesitation, going straight for the wings." He looks at you for a moment more before slightly laughing. "It was pretty original though- 20 points!"

The pair of you spent the majority of the day looking over the city together, going from one tall building to another. Occasionally you stopped to get a quick snack from a small shop, but you didn't stay on the ground very long.

By the time the sun began to set, Hawks carried you back to your shared apartment, flying in through the window and dropping you on the couch.

You bounced on the couch as he dropped you, a huge smile on your lips. "It might not have been much, but it was a fun day."

He plops down beside you, wrapping his arms around you before covering your face in small pecks and kisses. "Ahh! Kei!"

He chuckles between pressing kisses against your cheeks. "What? Not in the mood for kisses?" You poke his nose with a finger, booping him. "I'm always in the mood for kisses, but I like it when I can kiss you back."

You grab him by the front of his shirt, pulling him close before smashing your lips together. His large hands raise to cup your face as he kisses you back. He holds you there for a long kiss before retreating. "Was that better, love?" He asks, pressing another kiss to your nose.

"It was perfect." You reply, a pleased smile on your lips.

Sure it might not have been much of an exciting day, but it was the way you loved to spend time with your man.

I pulled this illegally small baby out of a window well that he fell in, we've named them Ester!

I met with a guy from High School today and we hung out but he lowkey treated it like a date... but a shitty date.

As we were walking he shows me a Pic of myself from years ago, saying he took lots of pics of me, then he SWIPED and there were so many more. Ones where I had my back turned. Dude was taking pictures of me for years without me knowing

Like an hour in he decides he wanted to do door dashing, plus he dissed all my friends.

The moment I left he said "So can we do this again sometime?" And I was like "Yeah sure." Then I got out the car, shut the door and said "Never again..."

And as I left there was some poor soul who was walking by, watching this and he laughed so hard he almost tripped.

Just a shopping trip, that was the plan for the day. But could you go alone? No. Not a chance.

Your boyfriend Kinich immediately got dressed once you told him you were going shopping today. He knew all too well how you would stay out for hours. And he already knew he'd be worried after the first 2 hours.

So his solution? Simple, go with you. He followed you to the shopping district and went store to store with you. Surprisingly, he even pulled you into a few shops with outfits he wanted to see on you.

After the 3rd store he pulled you into, you wondered if this was really the main reason he came.

He large hand around yours, he pulled you into another shop, saying "I think you'll love this dress here." As he went to pick out a light blue mini dress.

A blush coated your cheeks at the dress. A mini dress? Really? You never wore anything too revealing.

"Um, you sure about that one-" "Positive!" He said confidently l, not even letting you finish speaking. Picking up the dress and grabbing your hand he dragged you towards the changing room and tossed you in.

Seeing the look in his eyes, you gave in. His usually stoic face showed mild excitement. So, not wanting to let your boyfriend down, you crawled into the dress.

The dress was beautiful, the only problem was you couldn't get the zipper with your short arms.

Poking your head through the curtains you saw Kinich chatting (or more accurately, arguing) with Ajaw. "Babe." Your meek voice called.

His head perked up as he brushed Ajaw away. "Whats up, sweetheart?"

"Can you help me with the zipper? I can't reach it..." He chuckled but nodded and got up to assist you.

After helping he went back to sit down. "Now let's see-" He coaxed, trying to pull you from the fitting room.

Tugging down the dress a bit you stepped out. You looked gorgeous, making even Ajaws jaw drop. "It suits you." He says softly.

"You think so? I think it's a bit short."

"Nothing can be as short as you." Ajaw chips in, earning a glare from both you and Kinich. "Don't listen to him, you look great." You smile as you look in the mirror.

"Mind giving me a spin?" Looking over to Kinich, you see a small cheeky smile on his face. "Why? Trying to see if it's shorter in the back?" You joke. "Maybe, now gimme a spin."

Face getting even hotter you slowly turn, showing off the outfit. "Hmm." You hear him hum behind you, grabbing your attention. "What is it?" You look back to him with a mildly worried expression.

"Nothing, just realized we can't leave the store without that dress." He replied with a smirk. You rolled your eyes as you went back into the changing room.

You did however end up getting the dress.

It was a small act, really. But nonetheless it made your heart melt.

When Alhaitham and Kaveh decided to throw Collei a party for getting accepted into the akademiya, they invited everyone in the group to come. Everyone agreed immediately except for Cyno who was busy at the time. Kaveh shrugged it off, deciding to invite him once again a week later when he saw him in the forest with Tighnari. This time Cyno requested time to check his schedule and to be asked again later.

As the day came closer Everyone had agreed to have Alhaitham go after Cyno as he was the most stern and was likely to get an answer.

A few days later, Cyno had taken you to the Sumeru markets to look around. Amidst the many stores you were distracted by a small cart selling small jewels. Through the crowd Alhaitham saw Cyno, not noticing your smaller form next to him.

Pushing his way through the crowded streets Alhaitham made his way towards Cyno, following him as he followed you from store to store. By the time he caught up with the two of you he grabbed hold of Cynos shoulder.

Turning to see who dared touch the General Mahamatra, Cyno grinned as he saw his old friend. "Alhaitham! Good to see you, can I help you?" Alhaitham rolled his eyes, of course Cyno wouldn't know why he was there. "Colleis party." He started. "Will you be there or not?" He asked, making it very clear that he was leaving with an answer.

"Oh! I had nearly forgotten, let me ask my partner." Your ears perked at that and you turned to look at them from the cart you were observing. Small an act it was, it warmed your heart to see how your boyfriend wanted your input. "Well dear?" Cyno asked, Alhaitham looked on awaiting his answer.

"Of course! It's a big day for little Collei, you should go celebrate with your friends." You replied cheerfully. Your cheer quickly turned to confusion however, when Cyno turned to the Acting Grand Sage and said "You can count the both of us in." Alhaitham nodded and left with his answer.

"Babe-" You mumbled. "The invite was for y-" He simply took your hand and led you to the next cart. "Exactly, and you are the biggest part of my life. Which makes you a part of me, were a package deal." Following behind him, your cheeks warmed along with your heart. "So we're both going to the party." He said as he pecked you on the cheek sweetly.

Just coming back from commissions, you were beat. Scratches all over and a large wound on your shoulder. Too tried to be bothered by the pain you laid down in a sunny meadow and decided to rest for a while.

Upon awakening you saw a blurry shadow and felt immense pain at your wound. You groaned at the pain and went to sit up when a familiar voice spoke. "Stay down." A gentle yet strong hand pushed you back onto the ground. "I'm almost done ya big baby..."

Once your eyes adjusted you saw Xiao with bandages as he wrapped up your torso.

"What are you doing out here? And injured for that matter?" Opening your mouth to answer, you were quickly cut off. "If things were too hard for you to handle you should have called for me, you know I'll always come." With a huff he tied off the bandages and sat back to look at his work.

Finally you sat up and looked at him. "I was too tired so I just-" "Too tired?" He cut you off again. "So just because your tired you decided to risk your life? You could've bled out!" You simply rolled your eyes. "It wasn't that bad Xiao."

You could practically hear the growl bubbling up in his chest. Before he could open his mouth to lecture you, you leaned up and kissed him. Xiaos eyes widened at the sudden action but nonetheless he returned the motion.

"If youre so concerned about me then take care of me~" You teased. At your words Xaio stood, making your face fall, thinking he was about to leave. Instead, you squealed in surprise as he lifted you into his arms with ease. "Maybe I will~"

Cheeks aflame you averted eye contact and curled into his shoulder, making him chuckle.

Within seconds you were at Wangshu Inn as Xaio wisped you away. Bed soon beneath your sore body and Xiao leaned over you.
