“Dorcas,” Marlene swallowed, “what are you?”

The girl grinned and something vicious and deadly and so very sexy flashing across her face as red lighting reflected on pearly whites. The girl leaned in close, much closer than needed, looming over Marlene despite the mere three inch difference the two had, and Marlene's head began to spin. Her hand reached out, resting on the back of Marlene’s neck and she could smell her perfume, something vaguely floral, not too sweet with a faint kick of spice. 

“I’m a siren, Marls,” she said, her face so close that Marlene felt her breath on her lips. “I sing, seducing sailors and pirates to their painful death.” Dull nails lightly scraped the nape of her neck and Marlene was sufficiently entranced. Three inches of air was the only thing standing between them and Marlene doing something stupid, like making a scene at Regulus Black’s Halloween Bash. “What are you?”

Marlene blinked, her mind scrambling to figure out an appropriate response to what the girl just said. Marlene was many things; single, gay, very horny and confused as to why she wasn’t already making out with the girl that was so very close to her who she has been in love with since she was thirteen. The light on Dorcas’ face shifted from red to orange and Marlene remembered they were at a party, a halloween one to be exact. “I am a pirate,” she finally said, not sure of exactly how long it had taken her to say something but aware that it was probably too long if Dorcas’ smirk was anything to go by.

“Like Keira Knightely,” the girl asked. Marlene nodded dumbly, staring at the black painted lips with rapt attention. “Hot. I’ve always had a thing for blonde pirates.” And with that she leaves, getting lost in a sea of bodies and leaving Marlene to figure out what the fuck just happened.

The music changes to something vaguely halloween-y and Lily and Mary walk over. “What was that,” Lily asks immediately, handing a drink to the flushed girl.

“I think she’s trying to kill me,” Marlene mumbles before taking a sip of a drink that’s sickeningly sweet, its sugar coating her teeth. She downs it with ease.

“Well to me it looked like she was five seconds away from fucking you in the bathroom but what ever you say,” Mary says, taking a sip of her own drink before her eyes light up. “You want to know what the French call an orgasm? ‘La petite mort’ a little death. So maybe we’re both right Marls.”

So like, Jordan Li doesn’t listen to Sidney Gish, they are more of a rap and R&B person but if they did they would love her. Like, I feel like 90% of college students would like her if they took the time to but like Jordan especially. Her uncertainty of what comes next, her longing for the past- specifically a past she didn’t even really have, and her growing to accept it through her music. Like Sidney is precious to me

Lily and James were pregnant with Harry when they were 19/20 so if your muggle/college AU doesn't have Lily freaking the fuck out between lectures, James asking his dad for a bigger allowance because now he has to buy more than redbulls, microwavable meals and alcohol, OR Sirius and Remus watching harry run around the quad while Lily takes a final and James is at wrestling/rugby/any sport practice, I don't want it. Bonus points if Alice "out of college and married, thus making her a 'responsible adult' in Lily's eyes despite being 23 and tired" Longbottom babysits Harry and forces him and Neville to be friends. Bonus Bonus points if Harry is born during Marlene and Dorcas's semester abroad, and when they come back and watch harry, everyone thinks they had a baby.

Idk if i have said this already but if I have I will just repeat myself. Alice was the sister petunia stopped being to Lily. Alice was a fourth year when Lily started at Hogwarts and always looked out for her. Alice showed Lily around hogwarts- took her under her wing. Alice was Harry’s god mom and if the war didn’t happen than harry and neville would have been raised as brothers. They would have seen eachoher at least three times a week when they were young and when they started primary school they would have had sleepover’s every other weekend. Not only did Bellatrix rob Neville of parents, but also Lily of her sister, and Harry of his brother.

Jegulily slow burn royalty au??? James being a prince, Lily a being the daughter of the kingdom’s head knight who he is in love with and plans to marry BUT an enemy kingdom of many generations agree to finally make peace if James marries their second born son. James agreeing to said marriage for the sake of his kingdom. Jily sneaking around the castle, Lily being possesive, James slowly falling for his annoyingly aloof fiance and developing conflicting feelings. All with a B story wolfstar happening in the background- do you see the vision???

Rant post but like, Jordan Li is such an interesting character. They love Marie, confirmed by Derek and London, but they hardly know her. The entire show spans maybe a month at most, half of which they spent glaring at Marie, refusing to acknowledge their feelings. Because if they acknowledged them, really felt them, then they would be fucked. Truly and completely royally fucked. Because they don't know how to love, not really. They know how they want to be loved, but not how to love someone. And that's terrible for them because for them it is all consuming. They are desperate to be held and reassured at all times, and when they find someone that they think will give them that, they pour their entire heart out, no reservations.

And Marie, Marie is different than their past relationships she loves them entirely and so they give her everything they can. But Marie- she doesn't know what to do with their feelings, she hasn't been loved, felt loved, in years. Jordan is overwhelming, all consuming, everything that she should want and should be able to accept with ease, but she can't, not so soon. Jordan is too much, too fast and Marie is hesitant, wary of giving in, of getting hurt again.

Neither of them are wrong, not really. Just two, children desperate for a feeling that was stolen from them too young. And when they finally get it, get the chance to have the thing they have their hearts have ached over for years, they are inept. Unsure and over confident. Stubborn and uncompromising, fucked over by a cheap cash grab by their parent's when they weren't even old enough to identify shapes in their vision, too young to know what to do to better things.

They are doomed. Doomed. Doomed. Doomed.

just finished doom patrol and idk how to cope... So many thoughts are going through my head but I can't even articulate them. I am sad it's over, happy everyone got their happy ending. It's not even like I can do the usual, burry myself in fanfiction until the sadness is gone cause there isn't that much out there. fuck, what a good show.
