He came out something else.

The doctors he tortured into silence called it a mutation. A cruel joke, really: Jason smelled like an alpha now. Moved like one. His body was stronger, heavier with muscle, like it had been redesigned for dominance. His pheromones tricked the world—but his body? Still an omega underneath. Still unbondable. Still incapable of the one thing nature told him he was built for.

But Jason didn’t come back to fall in love or get laid. He came back to burn Gotham down from the inside out.

Step one: Red Hood.

Step two: break Bruce Wayne’s heart.

Step three? …well. That got complicated when he met Dick Grayson in a nightclub in Burnside.

Jason grinned. “I made it sound poetic. And I had killer eyebrows.”

Jason kicked the wall once and glared at the ceiling. “I told you this job felt too easy. It was a classic setup. Empty warehouse. No guards. One obviously suspicious penguin statue just sitting in the middle. And then this guy—” he pointed dramatically at Dick, “—decides to make a pun.”

Dick crossed his arms and raised a brow. “It was a great pun. ‘Waddle we do now?’ It was thematic.”
