captain marvel having an in-built censorship sound that plays everytime he says something that is either contains swear words (very uncommon literally never happens) or is played for no reason. Like whenever he says a sentence that DOESNT have a curse word in it, but is bleeped out making it seem like he said something downright horrendous,,,

and yes, the gods did do this. Because they were bored and wanted to see captain marvel seem like he curses like a sailor (he does not) (billy does though!)

but. Captain Marvel isn't aware of this implement. because the censorship bleep is only heard by the people around him.

AND IMAGINE IN ANOTHER SCENARIO. He's talking to Junior and Mary Marvel, trash talking eachother like siblings do. the justice leagues there, for some reason — maybe it was because of a battle?? and captain marvel goes absolutely like.

CM; "Oh come on, you— *NEIGH* *BLEEEEEEP* *SOUND HORN* *CAR CRASH* *SCREAMING*, you little *CAR HORN*!"

Mary and Junior are absolutely unfazed about the godawful noises(They too, cannot hear it.) and the most Justice League turn their heads at the sounds and stare at them in absolute horror while the Gods were absolutely cackling their asses off seeing the mortals reactions.

there's something special about cryptid captain marvel.,, but he ISNT a cryptid, it's just that every single person outside of Fawcett City thinks he's some sort of cryptid and legend

I mean he never leaves Fawcett!!! and the people in the city would probably just LOVE to gatekeep their local hero

also. the cryptid rumours probably contribute to the fact that magic messes up cameras so people haven't been able to capture a photo of him, ever.

those rumours spread by word of tongue would honestly be really exaggerated. Maybe it'd make marvel seem like his body is unevenly elongated, his body bursting at the seams with magic could rival Gods, looking so unnatural for a hero with his uncannily perfect face. but what does he look like exactly? people outside of Fawcett don't know

so, people just spread the word that "If you feel a burst of sudden magic and hear a bolt of lightning in the area, the Living Lightning is watching."

The starry night of Fawcett City loomed over the country. It felt peaceful looking at the stars in the sky as the night blended into one. Captain Marvel had just finished his last sweep around town today after helping a cat or two out of a tree and bid the civilians that were out at this late hour to stay safe. Afterward, a booming thunder had struck the area, yet not one batted an eye. Why would they?

Though, Billy here thought it was a good idea to wander around the streets before going back to his tiny apartment. It was good to try and look after others even when he wasn't Captain Marvel, afterall.

But… Accidents do happen.

Billy gagged, his heart thundering from his bleeding chest. His tongue practically glued to the ceiling of his mouth shut. Cold sweat dripped down from his forehead as blood slowly started to spread onto the ground. The wound that had pierced his body was too hard for his grubby hands to take care of himself. And it came from a single accident.

A single one.

‘Wrong place, wrong time’, some may say. But the damage has already been done. Plus, Captain doesn’t specialize in healing magic. Why would he? He could never get hurt that badly, for it and Billy doesn't have magic to try to use a spell at all.

He let out a shaky breath. His cold, clammy pale skin felt tight beneath his clothes as his vision blurred together like a bad series of mirages. He couldn’t bring himself to take another deep breath. His lungs hurt. His leg hurts. His chest hurts. Everything—

Everything hurts.

He just wants it to stop. He wanted to close his eyes and.. And go back to his parents. Let them hold him in their arms. Let them tuck him in at night. Let him stay in a home where he wouldn’t want to run away from. But.. But people still need him.

Not him, him. But Captain Marvel, him. The better him.

He shouldn’t give up. Who’ll protect Fawcett if he was gone? His role—Although frankly undeserved in his opinion—was important to the civilians in Fawcett City. He was a beacon, a ray of hope. Besides, Freddy’s only starting out as Captain Marvel Jr. after saving him from Captain Nazi. And he really, really wants to be there for him. They were friends, weren’t they? And friends were supposed to have each other's backs.

He’s got to put his pains aside… Besides, it’s not like he hasn’t been through worse!

Trying his best to steady himself, even as his head felt light and the empty streets looked like it was spinning, he braced himself to saying the only word that could save him from this situation. He had to say it. Say it, say it— SAY IT!

“Sha-!” His throat let out a harsh hack. Practically to the point that Billy swore he’d almost puke up his intestines, so, his body did not like that. Start off slow.. “Shh.. Sha..

“Sha… zam!”

Zeus’ lightning called out for him, as the thundering sky had struck where Billy once laid. The smell of ozone and metallic blood fused together. Looking back at the mess which stained the floors, Captain Marvel shook his head in concern, yet the whispers of Solomon had begged him to not invoke the name of the Wizard again. To stay in this demi-godlike form, and let Billy rest no matter what. He couldn't even ask for how long. He rubbed his cartilage and collarbone, the phantom touch of pain had stuck for some reason even when most pain had dissipated for the most part.

No worries. It’ll.. Be alright. His host won’t die on him yet.

But he would have to ask the Wizard on how to go around this. Because he certainly doesn’t know how to deal with a bleeding out child in his hands, especially without the proper help to deal with Billy. And he’s not quite sure if his body would be affected if he doesn’t detransform for more than three days.

Injured or not, Billy is just a twelve year old boy who needs sleep and food more than any other person. And staying in this form certainly doesn’t help provide any of that, yet the Gods assured he’ll be fine. He’ll pull through—That he’ll survive.

He supposes he should trust them on that.

… Wait, how’ll he explain this to Mr. Sterling that Billy may or may not be in stasis for a while, so he wouldn’t be able to clock in to work at WHIZ RADIO? Nevermind. He’ll sort it all out in the future. But, now? He’s back on duty.

Day 3

Finally finished! back to the jjk dungeons i go

hey guys. what if captain marvel sees things more different than billy batson.

think about it, in a universe where billy batson is captain marvel and not like, them being technically two people, and billy gets his powers at a young age. 8 maybe. although he had the courage of Achilles in his captain marvel form, he's still young and although very determined, he'd still a bit scared

and the wizard knows that! or.. assumed that. so shazam gives captain marvel to perceive things a bit more differently using magic. it'd probably make the environment more colorful, less dull. buildings looking more vibrant and people look like they were shaken out of cartoons and villains looked cartoonishly evil. all to make it feel like there was no way people would get hurt because they were under the champions protection,, having that feeling of (real) invincibility when he patrols around town, though there was no real way of filtering words to be more "child like".

the first time billy transforms and detransforms it'd really just give him major whiplash, and being young and really unaccustomed to this whole thing, he just goes along with it, believing that when you become a hero everything would naturally just look like that really.

but.. it all felt weirdly easy, of course there were times where captain marvel struggles, but he always comes on top at the end. the stupidly vibrant lenses he sees through as captain marvel seemed somewhat keen on downplaying all the hardships he'd gone through over the few years in billy's head.. even if everyone he knows says he does a good job!

slowly, he gets used to the drastic changes of vibrant to dull scenery whenever he says the wizards name and gets invited to join the justice league! said something about being impressed about his feats??? whatever! he's just glad he was invited!!!

but when he meets the members of the justice league (with really cool and vibrant looking hero suits!), he feels like there's a certain.. uncertainty in the air? cautiousness???

because in the other heroes' eyes, there's a dude from fawcett city, 6+ ft tall, and all they know about him are the feats and careless acts with restrained strength who beats up and talks down villains with a smile. a guy who glosses over all the gory scenes without any mind, a guy who never seemed to be disturbed by anything. a guy who's a demigod with powers that make him a practically invincible!

they pray that he won't turn out to be a foe instead of a friend—they know he's friendly... but what if he's only friendly to the people from fawcett city?

because a guy like that, especially with that much strength, would really scare people.

of course, this is before they find out that captain marvel practically had a heart of gold, though. but just a tad bit too desensitized though.

oh and plus points if captain marvels and billy batsons visions blur together when the champion truly hits rock bottom btw🫶

De aged Captain Marvel except CM is now Billys age and Billy is... gone. What follows is CM trying so hard to NOT reveal that his crucial other half is maybe sorta removed from existence, and he looks suspiciously like a homeless kid the League ran into ages ago.

When the evil wizard casted a de-aging spell, the rest of the Justice League were all prepared to babysit the rest of their team, each member planning how they would take care of a bunch of super powered and traumatized kids just in case they were (un)lucky enough to be the oldest. What they did not expect was for Captain Marvel to shield them all from the blast. When they finally regained their composure, a few members double-checking that they weren't a teen, or worse, a toddler, they were instead faced with a... tiny version of Captain Marvel. A little baby faced boy, barely 10, in Captain Marvels now very ill-fitting costume. The boy was just as confused as they were, but for very different reasons. He didn't seem at all bothered that he was missing multiple feet of height or a hundred pounds of muscle. Rather, he was holding his head, mumbling something about 'where are you, kid? kid? can you hear me?' He looks like he might cry and the League has no clue how to fix it. Due to the newfound issue of Magical Child Being, Captain gets quarantined until they can figure out a way to reverse the spell. This leaves Captain with plenty of time to grapple with the fact that he's alone and Billy is gone. Its lonely, its horrific, and the gods have no idea how to help and get their champion back. He's the personification of magic, of Billy's ideals and hopes and dreams, of the responsibility tied to magic, and without Billy, there isn't actually anything tying him to reality. When the spell eventually wears off and Billy is back, Captain immediately takes a long break from hero-ing. The League thinks it's because being a kid again was just too much for Captain, in reality Captain and Billy spend like a month bonding again and repairing the relationship and anxiety of not having one another to balance the other.

rewatched holy musical b@man ... and there was this running gag of the people in gotham calling superman 'captain marvel' and it was funny as hell to me😭😭 also because favorite glorbo mention but still

like what if . since captain marvel had this "No, I will not take off days, infact there's a catastrophe in fawcett city/philadelphia/random country/etc etc. So I gotta go!" mentality so his reputation is so wide spread (ok mr world wide), when superman was starting out or was ALREADY a prominent figure in metropolis, the moment he steps out of the city he gets called captain marvel..

ESPECIALLY if billy and everyone else related to fawcett city was stuck in the suspendium,,, so superman was forced to live in cap's shadow without cap actually being there until he finally got everyone to acknowledge him by his actual superhero alias huhuhu

but like what if also because of this, the superheroes from the JL accidentally start callign him captain marvel too ???? Even after cap joined the justice league as well???? like;
