I've dropped once more off the deep end into the Billy Batson fandom and once more I was gifted with a like 3 whole new obsessions.

Number one!

The ancient Greek clothing deaged cap debacle. Just positively glorious. I absolutely adore it when billy has to sit there and be like "wait a name?! That works for ancient Greece. That wonder woman won't immediately figure out? Crap"

But also imagine billy detransforming at the end of a fight and his gods are like.

Nah it ain't time yet for this arc

So they pull some magic shenanigans and badda bing badda boom billy boy speaking fluent ancient Greek and in a proper chiffon tunic or whatnot. Amazing

Number two!

The gods interacting with Billy with animals that represent them. I've been playing assassins creed odyssey a pot recently and I would just love for billy boy to have Ikaros following him around. Could work great with the above story line. Billy gets de transformed into Greek time and runs away, once corned a bunch of animals reminiscent of the gods and tawky tawny come to help him , just beautiful.

The swap body au with the touch of its billy who was blessed not his body.

But like, the Wizard obtained the blessings of the gods, but Billy recieved their favor. So whoever ends up in caps body can still use his powers but not nearly to the magnitude Billy can and the gods in billys head stayed with the body at first, the after judging whatever poor sould was stuck in the captains body moved back to Billy. But certainly not after being incredibly ruthless and dropping a NAT 20 on vicous mockery and then preceding to be happy go lucky (or as much as the gods can be) when back to Billy

Clark: *Continues trying to wheedle information out of CM whenever he can, keeps offering to help him out on monitor duty or in Fawcett, interviews Fawcett citizens as his civilian reporter identity*

This is an au that @armed-teddy-bear and I came up on the Shazam Fam Discord server.

The "10 year old champion of magic adopts an 1 year old clone" au.

"Billy Batson doesn't like how Superman treats his test-tube baby and kidnaps him" au

Conner is surprisingly alright with having a 10 year old as dad. He (a 1 year old) is aware that age doesn't mean anything about maturity.

He calls him Dad, even in his downpowered form and tries to be a good boy, out of fear of being abandoned if he where to be bad.

Billy is still his childish, innocent, self but he loves his boy and genuinely tries to help him with his powers. He also has started to dislike superman, as he reminds him a lot of his late uncle.

Superman is a bit worried for his friend, as he still believes that his Clone is a weapon and a danger to society. On the other hand, he is glad that this thing is out of his hand.

Luthor pays the child support.

(The most liked Theory is that Captain Marvel is another Clone of Superman, whilst Billy is Luthors. They are both Conners parents genetics wise and probably feel weird to be around the other one)

Conner also stopped being superboy in favor of becoming "Lieutenant", Captain Marvels side kick.

His new persona also gave him the nickname "Lieu", what allowed him to create a secret identity.

Lieu is a softboy. A kind soul that adores old people and animals. Someone that smiles easily and is extremely emotional.

Conner on the other hand works in an animal shelter and is scary. He has an strong resting bitch face and looks angry all the time.

(The costume was made by an elderly Lady he usually carries to her bingo weekends. Its his most priced possession and nothing pisses him more of than it getting damaged)

Another important thing is that Conner was able to grow into himself because of Billy. He soon learnt that he didn't have to copy someone else to be kept around, so he started expressing himself more.

(His Teammates didn't recognize him when he returned "home". He was the heartthrob for a few months after that. To bad he isn't allowed to date till he reaches double digits.

Hello Billy Batson Fans

I’m looking for that one tumble post that jokes about how Captain Marvel says he draws power from the Greek gods and then lists like 2 Greek gods, 2 Roman gods, and teh 5 most problematic men of the Mesopotamian. And also says taht the reason that he needs to be pure of heart is to counteract the grimyness of the power sources.

For no particular reason, Shazam!: Fury of the Gods came to mind today and I'm not even gonna lie, the lack of Asher Angel in that film still pisses me off to this very day. I don't know whose idea it was to not make Asher Angel a massive focus in that film after his amazing arc in Shazam, but it was a terrible decision and it still shows after all this time considering it's one of the few major issues that immediately stand out when you look back on Shazam!: Fury of the Gods. 

Asher basically was the glue of the first Shazam film considering how great he was as Billy Batson. He was legitimately able to bring out the best in so many characters throughout the first Shazam movie. Plus, I think it's also due to his amazing dynamic with Jack Dylan Grazier (Freddie Freeman) -- which I consider to be the heart and soul of Shazam. It's so frustrating because it was one hell of an avoidable mistake and could've easily allowed the Shazamily to continue forward in the DCU but there's absolutely going to be some sort of changes, considering the massive negative reception Shazam 2 had. What those changes are remains to be seen, obviously.

(spoiler alert, I guess?) There's zero chance that Gunn doesn't immediately address it, considering Shazam was recruited to the JSA in the post-credit scenes by the Peacemaker cast. However, there are definitely gonna be changes with that since Gunn has already confirmed that Peacemaker is affected by The Flash story-wise. So, if there was a change I'd like to see with Shazam and his family going forward in the DCU it's that I want Asher Angel to replace Zachary Levi entirely.

In Shazam 1, Billy Batson was a standout character despite Asher's young age. In Shazam 2, Asher still shined in his very brief moments, like the final moment of Billy saying he loves his mom before the big final fight. So, in my opinion, Asher can easily play Billy Batson in both forms in the DCU like Grace Caroline Currey did with Mary Marvel throughout FOTG. That may be an unpopular opinion and that may be a terrible take due to how marketing works, but after the lack of Asher being a key flaw of Shazam 2 and seeing how bad Zachary Levi was in Shazam 2, I'd take that as a solution any day of the week.

Power Of Shazam is easily one of my favourite DC comics from the nineties simply because of how unafraid it is to have fun and be unapologetically silly.

Superheroes are one of my favourite things in the world but they’re also one of the silliest concepts in existence and more superhero media should have fun with that fact instead of trying to deny it.

I want Soft boy Shazam/Captain Marvel.

I want Shazam to be so invested with work that he's super smooth accidentally.

Like I want a Howl's moving Castle when Howl picked up Sofie the first time kind of smooth.

Like I'd be fucking speechless, this incredibly hot guy just saved me I'd be like ....okay when he warns me about being in danger. I want half the women in Fawcett in love with that man.

And Billy to he absolutely clueless. Especially when the Flash and Hal ask him about it. And he's like what???

I want bruce wayne to go to Fawcett and see the rich girls swooning over the captain. Batman/Bruce wayne who?

They just see this really handsome guy with electric powers and a heart of gold. Immediate crush

Plus, he treats women with respect and consideration, crushing so hard. Plus when he messes up on a word or something that's cute crush

Trying to figure out what gods/goddesses could’ve made up the previous council of eternity’s acronyms (assuming of course they ALL used the name Shazam) and I’m currently hating it

The question of where they were from (since there’s literally nothing else about them, including names UGH) the general consensus was Mid Eastern (possibly Sumerian/Mesopotamian), Celtic (based on red-hair and flannel-patterned frock), Japanese, African/Aborhiginee, clearly Egyptian, Chinese, and Meso-American going left to right.

But the main problem in trying to find gods, heroes, or any sort of ancient being that will fit is that unless you look up the name of every one of them you come across you get vague descriptions of what was part of the popular mythologies there, or that they don’t have ANY beings with names that begin with the words in SHAZAM. Then when I do find some half the time it’s the resident demon or evil god of that mythology.

I want to have a basis of useable gods for them for the writing I want to do but this is just making me want to smash my head through my screens scouring every myth website, wiki page, and video I can find for the pantheons in these areas to find useable data

Billy Batson, pure of heart, void of soul

Consider: Captain Marvel Villian arc, but Billy Batson's heart stays pure.

Like Amanda Waller finds out his secret identity after bribing some of his villains for his secret identity.

She catches him when he is his child-self and muzzles him to make sure he wouldn't be able to turn.

He's experimented on, in an try to find a logical explanation for his magic.

Through it all his instincts/the godly Twitch chat scream at him to murder all the scientists and escape, but Billy finds himself unable to do that.

It's just not right for his child brain.

Especially since none of the scientists seem to want to hurt him.

He remembers his hands being held as some of his blood is taken, his hair getting petted as he is put to sleep, how they give him books and toys and blankets so he would bedistracted from the pain.

These people weren't evil. They where just doing their jobs.

Slowly he learned and watched the things around him.

There were others like him. Test subjects. People that needed help.

Most of the scientists weren't allowed to leave and those who were wore trackers. They where prisoners.

One day, the scientists made a "mistake", by not securing the muzzle right.

(He saw the way the doctor looked at him. He knew. He knew and allowed him to leave)

Captain Marvel was powerful. A being that could easily devour a god.

Destroying the facility was easy. Saving all those prisoners was even easier.

Some, he returned to their home and took away all of their memories.

Others, he made disappear, changing everything about them so they could start anew.

The rest he took home with him. Those he saw fit to share a drop of his power with to protect others.

He comes home like a father that returned from war. Captain Marvels appearance has changed in the time he was gone.

Still, his heart stayed as pure as it was before.

He still remembers the name of his people, their struggles, the things they like.

He still helps the old ladies cross the streets, plays with the children of the town and protects all those who might need it.

But many things changed aswell.

The magical world has gone out of its rails after he disappeared.

Billy was a child of magic and his disappearing was upsetting.

It was the Captains duty to bring balance to it.

And so he did.

He bathed in blood and iron to do what is right.

To save those around him.

To do good, as good will follow.

As the magic was in disarray, he gently gave it a sense of order back.

He took and gave powers how he saw fit and brought stability.

This stability changed the world fundamentally.

Captain Marvel became a dangerous being with an army of magic powered mini hims and a soul of gold.

He will help those who need it. Even those who don't want it.

He can recreat you as easily as he can recreate the world.
