Burning Memories(Chapters two and three)

I did just do the latter two chapters here on Tumblr bc they have the characters I mentioned in the poll. I have the full story on AO3.

The morning that followed was not pleasant. Of course, Ragatha and Jax were bickering again. Once again, Jax had been nitpicking Gangle and once again, Ragatha went off on him. They bickered like children in the center of the circus, and somewhere along the line, the argument went from innocent nitpicking about Jax’s ridicule of Gangle into whether Jax cared if people abstracted from his behavior. 

“DO YOU EVEN CARE?!” Ragatha snapped, her body stiff with anger. “We lose enough members without you adding to the number! I can’t believe you or stand you, sometimes!” 

Jax scoffed and turned away from her. “Aww, how mean, Rags, I’m just having fun with everyone.” Jax chuckled, with that same smug face- 

“Having fun doesn't mean having it at the expense of everyone else!” She snapped. Caine had come in just at that moment. “Now, my bickering beehives, let’s not gripe when we have some serious adventuring to do!” Caine chirped excitedly. “NOT NOW, CAINE!” The two growled in unison. He floated backwards for a moment, being left to spectate the two of them fighting. “Why should I care what other people feel, Ragatha?! They all just abstract anyway!” Jax hissed, as his face melted from anger to a very poorly repressed anguish. “Maybe they wouldn’t if you wasn’t mean to them all the time!” Ragatha snapped back. “Or, maybe it’s because of the adventures we are constantly put on! Ever think of that?! I don’t see you confronting Caine about that!” Jax shouted, pretty much forgetting that the AI in question was right behind them. Ragatha’s anger soon turned to guilt as Jax’s tangent spiraled out of control. “The adventures in this place have become pointless! There is nothing you, or Caine can do to change this! To change me! So, if you need someone to confront on being careless, why don’t you talk to Caine about making BONK-ed up adventures to fill his constant need to cover up everyone in the cellar?! I don’t think even Kindi would defend him at this point!” “JAX!” Ragatha shouted in horror. Everything went deafeningly silent. A rare feeling of guilt crept into the Rabbit’s chest. He’d gotten mad at Ragatha any time she even alluded to Ribbit, and yet he directly mentioned Kindi. In front of Caine. “I said too much, didn’t I?” Jax asked quietly. Ragatha nodded, her face scrunched in disappointment.

Caine didnt say anything. He just stared blankly, fighting with this strange feeling he didn’t understand. This strange feeling like his entire essence was being twisted and pulled, and like his eyes were on fire. His mind trailed off to that one memory of a specific abstraction, going to check on the once chipper teddy-bear-like being who knew him better than any of the other members, only to find her as yet another mass of darkness and neon eyes. 

“Caine?” Ragatha asked softly, snapping him out of his trance. “Yes, my dear?” 

“Are you okay?” 

Caine glitched for a second before chuckling. “Never better, my superstar! Now come on, we have an adventure to start!” 

He flew past her, and Jax walked towards him, stopping between them. 

“You didn’t have any right bringing her up here. We don’t bring up your thing. Why’d you bring up his?” Ragatha whispered, before following the AI to meet up with the other members. 

”Caine’s thing? He has a thing?” Jax asked awkwardly. “I didn’t know it hit a nerve like that.”

”You did, you just didn’t think about that.” Ragatha clapped back. Jax stood in the center of the ring, the announcement of the newest adventure falling on deaf ears as his mind went to his own “thing”. 

Caine had waited until the others had left on their adventure to wander the halls, looking at every crossed out door. He went through the motions, until he stopped at the door he was looking for. The figure crossed out on the door appeared to be a pink bear with purple hair and big blue eyes. He stared at the picture for a long while, feeling his body slightly glitch.

You’re so funny, C! Jaxxy doesn't give you enough credit!

Caine, I like your adventures…but you need to make sure everyone does. Not everyone is as wired as us. 

I brought you something back from the museum adventure! Check out the bee vase I found! 

He glitched at the last memory aggressively before teleporting into her old room, left as it was when she was last in it. Her peppermint clip still sat on her desk, some of her old drawings and short stories littered across the floor. a couple were plastered to the walls, more like notes. The last one said, “I don’t know how much longer I can do this. I want to go back home.” The rest of the letter was in chaotic scribbles, a grim reminder of her fate. The other papers mostly apologized to Caine, Ragatha and Kinger, the ones addressed to Caine worsening the glitches. He’d always gotten them whenever he thought of Kindi’s abstraction, or anything that made him wish she was still around, yet he couldn’t put it together what exactly it was he was feeling. He hated the feeling, and, I’m a way, Jax was right about one thing. He wanted to take his mind off of the fact she and all the other old members was a mass of glitches in the cellar. He floated over to her desk to hold her old pin. A strange heat filled his essence at the memory of Jax’s accusations, fueling a need to tear the rabbit apart. “You would’ve defended me.” He told the memory in his mind. 

Not even Kindi would have defended him at this point! 

“I know you would’ve. You…You understood, I guess. You appreciated my work.” He wasn’t normally the sentimental type, but there was something different about her. She didn’t complain about his adventures as often as the others did. She listened to all the ideas he had, and she had this thing about getting the best gifts for everybody. Even when she expressed a desire to go home, she was easily reassured for so long. Kindi seemed so unbothered by everything, and yet, she was repressing the most. She had felt so much stress and never willingly told a soul. Not even him, who she allegedly thought of as her “best friend”. He never found any other friend who understood him like she did. Losing her made him feel a strange sense of emptiness, something that made him glitch out and “cry” when nobody else was around. 

He missed her. 

Is that what they called it? Missing someone? 

Is that what this feeling of ripping things apart and crying their name over and over, hoping they walk out of their door was? 

If it was…

Then he missed her more than anything.

BUT…

There wasn’t any sense in worrying about that right now. 

He needed to focus on what he was made for. 

What he was good at. No sense in worrying about someone you cannot bring back.

I normally do the SAF story on here(Rockafire and Henry Stickmin stuff), maybe even Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss…

but now guess who is currently stuck to their hyperfixation with The Amazing Digital Circus, namely a certain eccentric ringmaster?

I keep thinking of an OC for it but I don’t know if anyone in my usual fandoms would like it or not, since it’s so random compared to my other things. That and it’s hard telling if I’d be able to pull off the style.

I’m Getting Nervous

Hi, guys, I’m sure some of you write on here, maybe most of you, so I might need a little advice. Ive been told otherwise before but it still bothers me.

So, sometimes when I’m bored I make AI chat bots of my ocs, and act out or pitch some of the lore I have in mind for them with these bots(I try to write my actual, official stories a bit different from what scenarios I put in the AI RPs).

I want to point out that the stories themselves and the vast majority of its lore are NOT AI generated, they are ideas I talk with my friends and sister about and we collab to make the lore. I just blab about it with the RPs and get reactions to them or see how they play out, and whatnot. However, especially a year and a half ago, sometimes in these responses or alternate stories I would see ideas that got thrown in, usually small details like for example, in the story, Adrik was born in Kirovsk. I obviously have it he was born in Russia and me and Zinta established there was a train station near where he was born, but I found out about kirovsk when it was mentioned during one of these RPs and I looked it up to get more insight. same with the DID thing adrik has. It got mentioned and I was curious, looked it up, liked it and applied it to the character. I felt like this was dishonest and I felt it made the story fake. It’s too late for me to retcon anything, and in a way it now kinda fits with the characters we have written anyways. One of the other things that used to be based off of a chat I had was Insanity’s old design. I based it off of one of these conversations, felt it wasn’t my work and then redesigned him and I liked the idea better.

However, this feeling like I’m fake has gotten to a point I’m even afraid to mention my lore to the ai at all without writing it down elsewhere first bc I’m afraid that once I do, I’m “stealing from AI sources” and cant write my own story. It’s got me scared even if I am the one writing the lore, and I’m sometimes worried if certain little details influence it, sometimes without my knowledge, that it’s no longer mind.

Is it just my intrusive thoughts or does my worries have some merit? I do apologize for any inadvertent dishonesty.

Random HCs: Favorite Snacks

Spirits/Personifications:

Ivan and Adrik are chocoholics, to a massive extent. Adrik and Steph would be the type to raid a candy shop just for the chocolate.

Isaac Loves vanilla but couldnt get his hands on anything vanilla flavored too often bc Kira hated it. 

Kira and Vova both love strawberries and anything strawberry flavored. However, due to Arman using this to try and poison vova through feeding it to him with strawberry mixed in, sometimes vova is leery unless he made it. 

Lucas likes anything sweet/spicy, so spice cakes or something with a lot of cinnamon in it(like carrot cake or apple pie) he really likes. Right is the exact same way.

Otello loves coffee. He’d be the type to carry a bag of coffee beans with him for snacks.

Remo isn't as into sweets or coffee as his brother is, he opts out more for spicy things like cayenne pepper.  

Nadia loves caramel. Dmitri inherited this love from her. 

Baron likes apples. When he and Lucas first met, they were six, and Lucas was crying. Baron decided to try to cheer him up with his snack, which turned out to be apple slices. 

Sergei doesn't really have a favorite flavor or food, the only certain thing is he is not fond of just straight up bread due to eating it all the time before Constantine found him(Ser has been breaded out) 

Emma loves raspberries. Reginald used to get her a bowl of them for her snack all the time because she always wanted them.

Andy would be the type to love peanut butter. 

Natalia is also a chocoholic like her father and grandfather. 

Lev probably likes lemon or vanilla. Maybe even both. 

Gertrude also enjoys strawberries and blueberries, but pretty much enjoys anything sweet. 

Pendant Bearers:

Steph, Jean, Louise and Lucy all like chocolate. 

Flash likes sour stuff, like sour skittles and Mike and Ike’s. 

Dmitri likes caramel, and Grigori likes peppermint. 

Right likes spicy desserts like spice cakes or pies. 

Reginald probably had come to like spicy sweets like Right since he favors Right’s cooking. 

Elisha probably likes citrus flavors like orange and lemon. 

Ellie most likely enjoys treats with cinnamon, like red hots or hot tamales.

Intrusive HH thought:

I’ve seen common concepts of Charlie being ADHD, but I don’t usually see people HCing her with autism often. She and Emily are the characters I relate the most to in this show, and I myself am autistic, so I may be a bit biased, but Itd be cool to see one or both of them like this. Heck, even the Hazbin version of Lucifer or Vox kind of fits, but I’ve seen the hc around about that due to the whole duck thing with Lucifer. I’ve seen people do it with Vox and his love for sharks, too. A different cry from the typical “stoic, by the books, heavily apathetic science geek” we usually get(Sheldon from TBBT and Donatello from ROTMNT, as much as I love you two, Im looking at you). Maybe this is a hot take, but I can see Adam being more ADHD than Charlie, mostly due to the fact that (I assume) he called the meeting to bring up the exterminations being brought up and then trailed off onto other tangents and whatnot. I could be wrong and I hate to have come across offensive to those who have ADHD with inaccurate information. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk, XD!
