a piece i couldn’t let go once i started making it. sometime ago was when i finally understood the upward spiral of healing, whatever it is i needed healing for at this point — and i started treating my life as a tapestry with an array of lovely things, sights, and lessons that i can stitch together or layer onto, an imperfectly perfect collection 🌷✨

the collector 🗝️🌞🪡🌸

its been awhile since i made some time for myself in the form of personal art — the past month has been really tough for my general health. many hours spent in bed and in transit, grappling with my mortality has got me thinking — what have i been really living for? i feel like the role of art-making in my life was some place of negotiation with the part of myself that hasn’t been seeing the point beyond all the hardship. after much examining, i found that i’ve always loved creating art not just because of what i’m able to convince someone of with my art, but what i’ve been able to convince myself of because of my art. there’s so much to treasure and live for. 💖 what do you make art for? 🎤
