If you ever second-guess yourself about including some unrealistic frivolous whimsical bullshit in your stories, just remember that nobody notices the absence of unrealistic frivolous whimsical bullshit, save for like 5 people who are determined to deprive both themselves and also everyone they encounter of any enjoyment in life. The people who read stuff that should have talking dragons and planets with two moons in it and think "it sure is nice that this thing has no stupid unrealistic bullshit in it, like talking dragons or planets with two moons" are not the people you should seek to appease.

Imagine if you had a neighbour who keeps performing songs from Phantom of the Opera in his apartment every night, by himself but accompanied by a parrot, which he has taught to sing Christine's part. Admittedly it's kind of obnoxious but you are far too baffled to even be properly annoyed. And also you don't want to confront someone with that kind of power and determination. Posts that talk about how book piracy isn't okay because libraries exist miss the point I feel

Even if libraries didn't exist, or you don't have access to one, the way pay is set up for authors means pirating a book does actually DIRECTLY affect their income.

"Isn't it better for people to read their books and talk about them if they can't pay for them"

Well, no. Or we would not have had such a movement on here about how publicity for artists isn't the same as pay.

Pay artists for their art, or don't get their art. This only seems to be a difficult concept for tumblr (especially but not exclusively) when the art in question is writing.
