the funniest thing about reiner and bertholdt's reveal in season two was that reiner basically outed the both of them even before the whole "I'm the armoured titan, he's the colossal."
when eren was helping armin up over the ledge, reiner turns to him with frustration and clearly says, in the dub, "armin, go ahead and tell eren about that time when annie nearly crushed me like an insect!" to which it then shows us a flashback from when the female titan had reiner in its grasp, about to crush him before he broke free at the last second.
reiner and bertholdt were never supposed to know about annie being the female titan—none of the scouts were told to inform them about her reveal in stohess. this is why we hear armin go quiet for a split moment before quickly whispering a small "yeah" under his breath—he had caught onto this slight mistake that reiner included in his rant, although reiner himself hadn’t noticed. more reasons as to why armin arlert should be in everyone’s top ten aot characters.

My favorite part of only the brave is how anyone with a POV (but mostly just regulus) simply can not help but mention how hot Remus is anytime he is referenced.

The fact that Jean and Armin used to be one character and got split into two is so evident when you realise that jean might just be the least developed character in AOT even though he is arguably the fourth main character (at least as far as the 104 is concerned).
To start: Eren, Armin, Mikasa, Connie, Sasha, Reiner Bertold, Annie, Historia and Ymir all get their backstories told within the show but Jean only got his backstory told in a silly little OVA.
And I’m not shitting on the OVA, it’s one of my favorite episodes but you can tell it was an after thought because it’s revealed that Jean is from Trost right before the battle of Trost and jean is just…. completely level headed the entire time not worried about the fact that his entire family is probably getting squashed just meters away. Also I’m pretty sure Isayam didn’t even write his OVA
I just wish we could have explored him more. The most we get is through his relationship with Marco but that’s over and done with within like 5 episodes and we don’t reopen that can of worm until 3 seasons later when he’s beating reiners ass.
Just bums me out a bit because he really is my man my man my man and I wish we could se more of him!
This is just the beginning of a bigger issue I have with the anime about how the pacing of it doesn’t really allow for us to see a lot of the interpersonal relationships the characters have with each other so when character deaths happen (especially in the first three seasons) I find it harder to sympathise with the living characters because I’m like “why are you so upset by their passing? We’ve seen you two speak maybe twice?”

The last photo is Armin’s mugshot. He’s wearing the jacket he’d stolen from Eren ages ago, worn it so much it had lost Eren’s scent within two days. Blue eyes stared deadly at the camera, no life left in them as if he too had been deceased. Blood was smeared around his mouth and down his throat, streaks of red in his bangs. He looks beautiful. He only looks beautiful because he’s insane.

Question for the culture: What are the 5 most influential fandoms of all time?
Not necessarily the best and/or the biggest but which ones have had the most impact on how people engage with fan content today.
Star Trek, Supernatural and Harry Potter are all up there for me and ARGUABLY One Direction although I don’t know how much of that is personal bias but I am interested to hear everyone else’s takes and justifications

Need them to do a alt music themed um, actually episode purely so that they can have a shiny question that’s just: “we’re going to show you a list of 50 warped tour bands, the first person to buzz in and tell me which of these bands does not have sexual assault allegations will get this point”
