Pretty Setter Squad Boyfriend Headcanons

✗ The emotionally constipated blueberry <3 oh yeahh 😎

✗ Okay well first off he can barely process his emotions (*cough* evidently *cough*)

✗ When you two first started going out he was quite shy and unsure of what to do so you may have had to guide him a bit, but if youre equally shy then it just would have taken longer to get to where you are now; oh and if that was the case it probably took some random burst of energy/confidence from either one of you to make the first move.

✗ He will buy you milk but uf you hate it (like me 🤢) he will buy you another drink - like juice :D

✗ I dont think he will be the most affectionate, it’s not his love language - and neither are words haHAH. His love language is most likely quality time and gift giving.

✗ He does like to cuddle though 😳

✗ In fact he really likes to :D his favourite is when youre sitting in his lap while he watches a volleyball game (at home - he hates pda).

✗ This brings us to our next, short point. Kageyama absolutely despises pda, he just thinks its something meant for closed doors and he does not believe that he has to display his relationship for the whole world to ogle at. The most he will do is light hand holding - mostly just linking your pinkies though.

✗ When it comes to height he does not care if you're smaller or taller than him ← but bb, please don't tease him about his height if he’s shorter because he will blow a fuse.

✗ He alternates between small spoon and big spoon, kinda depending on his mood.

✗ BOY O BOY does he get jealous. Uh please reign in your setter >:(

✗ Its mostly due to the fact that he’s insecure about himself - he thinks you will leave him like everyone else (in middle school - yes, he is still traumatised from it.)

✗ When he does get jealous he might be snappy to the other person and glare at them or be snappy at you and glare at you. When this happens please give him space because he needs it to clear his head. When he feels better he will come up to you and hug you into his chest so that he can’t see your face and you cant see his, then he will mumble an apology.

✗ Ever since you two began to date he has practiced apologising and getting better at apologising, this is because his inability to admit to his own mistakes was a sour patch in your relationship that almost ended it but he really did not want to lose you so he sucked up his pride and worked on what he had to; of course you also worked in what you had to. God I love character development 😩

✗ Dates are mostly at home dates or dates revolving around volleyball. If you're not into volleyball, Kageyama would not date you, it's something he is so passionate about and loves with every breath he takes (like you) and he refuses to compromise one love for the other.

✗ ooooh he likes arcade dates a well! He thrives in a competitive environment. If you're not competitive and don't want to compete against him then he’ll compete for you - against the machines lol. Of course you play as well! But i doubt youre as competitive as this blueberry, and if you are - well i guess at the end of the day youll both be stacked in tokens 🤠

✗ He is down for pda and does not care what others think - only what you think <3.

✗ I mean he might make out with you in public if you ask nicely

✗ Dates are very fun with him, he’ll take you to cafes, to amusement parks, to carnivals, to movies and all the like. He’s a cliche lover and he’s proud of it.

✗ Your first kiss happened on New Years Eve/Day. The two of you sat on the roof of his house and watched as the fireworks lit up the starry sky of Miyagi and chanted the count down together. The second ‘one’ left your lips he grabbed your face (softly!!) and pulled you in to crash his lips against yours.

✗ Suga loves to cuddle, preferably face to face because he just thinks you're the most beautiful person in the world.

✗ He is not the most jealous person, he definitely does get jealous but never of strangers. It's more when his close friends or your close friends get a bit too comfortable if that makes sense? He normally plays it off with humour and messes around because he acknowledges that he is insecure and that it is most likely him thinking of the worst case scenario; however if he really does start to worry and get jealous then he will sit you down and talk about it with you. To him, communication is key.

✗ i love my non-toxic gamer boy <33 anywho: no matter what ANYONE says, kenma is definitely affectionate. In fact I'd say he’s one of the most affectionate boyfriends. As we all know, he is shy and introverted but he likes to hang around and spend time with people he likes. He also talks a lot to them. So I hc that he’s a bit of a chatterbox with you and it makes him really happy when you let him talk about a game or a theory he has. He’s a great listener so you can count on him to pay attention to what you say.

✗ if you didn't already have one, he bought you a switch. He loves video game dates especially when he can't see you in person (*cough* lockdown *cough*)

✗ he loves when you sit on his lap when he plays video games. I know everyone talks about sitting on their partner’s lap as some sexual thing and yeah that can happen but most of the time he’s really soft with you and just enjoys being close to you. Loves when you cuddle into him while he plays so that he can place his head on yours or your shoulder.

✗ i think he is a bit shy when it comes to kisses but definitely warms up after a while. He absolutely refuses to sleep if he doesnt get your goodnight kisses. He loves to kiss you on your nose and your cheeks the most. He loves when you kiss him on the forehead and the nose <3

✗ kenma is not one for pda, it's just not his vibe. He prefers intimacy and privacy; his relationship is not a movie for the world to watch and gawk at. Especially timeskip!kenma. Though that does not mean he wont ever show you skinship in public, occasionally he will softly hold your hand and maybe press a light kiss to your cheek.

✗ in terms of jealousy, he is moderate. Kenma, as we all know, has incredible people reading skills, so he understands the situation pretty clearly and knows when you’re uncomfortable/what you think of the situation. Most of the time you can deal with the unwanted attention and he doesnt get jealous, but he does get insecure. He shows this by going quiet and looking away when you look at him, you can cure this by giving him hugs when you get home.

✗ Akaashi my beloved <3 he’s so pretty i can't even-

✗ ugh! Just imagine him in a dark/light academia aesthetic.

✗ perfection.

✗ akaashi is the sweetest most attentive boyfriend, he loves you to pieces and never fails to let you know. He tells you he loves you every morning and every night. He probably makes meals for you and leaves notes in that have a sweet comment like “i love you, you're the best <3”

✗ he love back hugging you BUT also receiving back hugs 🥺✨

✗ akaashi is a booknerd and an introvert. Please cuddle up to him and let him read his book to you.

✗ there are only 2 things that can restore his social battery: sleeping and you.

✗ which means he wants cuddles when he’s tired 😊

✗ he is not jealous. He just doesn't get jealous, maybe annoyed if the third party is being a bit too pushy and you're clearly uncomfortable, but he just never feels jealous. No matter how hard you may try to make him jealous (plz dont cause that's kinda toxic imo) he just won't feel that way.

✗ definitely the ‘mom/dad’ as he carries sinister, pads, bandaids → a whole first aid kit basically, everywhere. Bb must be prepared.

✗ dates are so sweet with him, cute niche cafes and dimly lit libraries. Maybe the occasional abandoned building. He loves spending time with you, so really he's happiest whenever he’s with you; having coffee at McDonalds or a niche cafe won't change anything.

✗ he’s hard to pinpoint for pda. I feel like he’s indifferent about it. He probably prefers to keep it indoors or to just small and sweet gestures (no making out in public sorry-). It definitely comes down to your preferences, if you don't like it then he won't and vice versa.

✗ he definitely plays guitar - lead guitar and bass guitar.

✗ he writes songs about you. Semsem has a bit of trouble saying exactly how he feels, so he writes it and sings it to you with a small little smile and eyes full of love.

✗ very affectionate, he’s always touching you someway. Loves kissing your forehead.

✗ he is jealous. Yeah definitely. He writes songs about being jealous 🗿 not that you mind of course ‘cause they're bangers. I think he might get snappy when he’s jealous, not directly at you but at the other person. He definitely gets a bit bitchy. Sometimes he acts that way to you so you've just gotta slap some sense into him. Say something like “what's your problem?” or “tell me what your problem is so i can help fix it.” ← that's probably the best thing to say.

✗ afterwards he’ll just snuggle with you until he feels better.

✗ he asks for your opinion about his songs all the time, please be honest (but also praise them if you like them lol)

✗ he takes you to niche spots he finds, like hidden concerts and stuff. Loves when you come to his gigs <3 oh and when you scream for him (in more ways than one).

✗ dates are cute and fun. Mostly walking around together → carnivals, main street, farmers market. Those kind of things.

✗ when it comes to pda he loves it. Loves being able to show the world who his s/o is. If you don't like it then he will tone it down and only do what you’re comfortable with. If you're also into pda then he will happily make out with you anywhere (you're one of THOSE couples 🤢 /j)

✗ oikawa 😳 have i told y'all how much i love him? Oikawa is the best written character, no cap, he is so complex and real it's crazy. It's so fun to write about him because you can pick him apart, you know his flaws, his weaknesses, his nightmares but also his strengths and dreams. Anywho i'll stop ranting now but i just love writing for such a perfectly imperfect character-

✗ he puts up a cocky exterior but thats all false. He's as scared as you are, he's scared that you'll leave him like his exes because of how obsessed and focused he is on volleyball. However he is a changed man, he's learned to balance his priorities. If you ever feel like you're being sidelined please communicate with him.

✗ he values communication above all else and wants nothing more in a partner than for them to also value communication.

✗ back to the point → if you feel insecure of your relationship and that volleyball is taking too much of his attention let him know. He will change that. To an extent → he may have an important game coming up which is why he is focusing more, but he will always find time for you.

✗ he never forgets to text you good morning and good night. He also sends you wholesome memes and makes sure you're taking care of yourself - they're like reminders for him to also take care of himself.

✗ he is both jealous and insecure. Everyone who gets too close to you or spends a lot of time with you, he is jealous of. Jealous because he wishes he could spend more time with you but he knows he can't - not without jeopardising his volleyball career. He's also insecure, because he knows you could just leave him for a more fulfilling, more attentive, more balanced relationship. You know that too, I mean, of course you could leave him but no one would be as good as him. No one could match up to your beautifully flawed boyfriend.

✗ he is affectionate, very, very affectionate. He loves you so much. And because he spends so much time on volleyball, anytime with you he's touching you - memorizing every dint, every curve, everything about you so that he won't ever forget.

✗ Oikawa has trouble sleeping unless he's with you, he wants to sling to you in his sleep and be grounded and remember that he is loved and cherished and appreciated y'know?

✗ pda is not an issue for him. He doesn't care what anyone else says or thinks :P in this relationship the only opinions that matter are his and your’s. Tell him you're uncomfortable with something and he won't do it, and vice versa. But otherwise, like Semi, he won't mind having a good makeout session with you in the middle of the street ;)

MvA assorted headcanons

General:

So many years together has made the core monsters inseperable. If something affects one member, it affects the group.

All. The. Monsters. Are. Family.

It takes Susan a while to understand inside jokes and past incidents because of being the most recent addition.

There are Other anomalous creatures kept in Area 5X, but they are either non-sentient and/or are too dangerous to be kept around the more human-friendly monster group.

Area 5X is so gotdang big because they were expecting a lot more kaijus like Insecto to crop up. Sadly not many have surfaced to justify the space.

There’s a hangar in Area 5X full of wrecked UFOs. Some are spacecraft wreckage while others are stuff like weird meteors (Susan’s is in there), and at least one alien creature that got crystallised upon entering Earth’s atmosphere.

There’s significant difference in staff employed at different points throughout the past 50 years. There are far more women on the Area 5X worksheet than back in the 50s, and the guards are generally more sympathetic towards the monsters. Many modern staff members have been reprimanded or let go for failing to uphold secrecy, or for unnecessary cruelty towards the monsters.

Budget cuts were a legitmate concern up until the Battle of Golden Gate Bridge. The facility was far more barebones and sterile before the government had to formally recognise Area 5X’s importance. There have been a lot of redecorating at the facilty since the fat checks started coming in.

Putting individual characters under read due to length.

Susan:

Enjoys many hobbies considered stereotypically feminine; baking, sewing, cosmetics, etc...

Grandparents and extended family are farmers or are atleast connected to the business. Modesto is the agricultural centre of California after all. Her parents were the first of their generation to go against the mold and seek out white-collar careers.

Studied cosmetology in school and was working at a beauty salon to save up for her and Derek’s wedding.

Is very athletic and grew up doing a number of physical extracurriculars like cheerleading, dodgeball, and roller-derby.

Grew up being teased for being the shortest kid in her class/family. They still tease her for it.

Greatly fears causing collateral damage and/or harm to others through her size.

Has issues with anxiety, worsened only by her new job as “savior of earth”. She wishes for a confidant to tell her worries to.

Married life with Derek was doomed to fail. Susan had a plan in place for what came after the marriage, and focusing 100% on Derek’s career was not it. There’s also the line from Derek’s mother about Susan being “the weatherman’s wife”, implying that she was to be the homemaker and not have a career of her own. It’s possible that Susan was planning to settle down and have kids with Derek, but the lack of control she had in moving to Fresno implied that more was going on.

Is currently “taking a break” from love and dating, despite gaining many new admirers.

Tries her best to return to Modesto to visit her family and friends whenever possible, though work often keeps her away for weeks at a time.

If she retains her height-shifting abilities as in the series; Susan goes through really bad “growing” pains.

Link:

Was frozen in his relative late-teens during a cold snap. Got shifted around until he ended up somewhere in Greenland before being discovered by modern humans. Post-thaw he went a bit wild, swimming frantically back south to try and find his old enviroment.

Was one of many scrappy youngsters in his troop, with a number of adoptive parents. The strongest ruled the troop, and Link was fairly weak in comparision to the leaders. He had gotten into a fight the day of his freezing (over something silly in hindsight) and swam away to sulk. When he didn’t return after the cold snap - the troop accepted that he had likely died out on his own.

Likes to freak out humans by making up weird biology facts about his species and ones he’s fought against - like joking about laying eggs or having his tail dettach and regrow like a lizard. However there’s some things he has to ask about, because he doesn’t have medical knowledge or words to describe something.

A lot of his macho behavior came from imitating the guards who kept watch on him. 1950s violent military alpha males aren't a very good role model for someone who doesnt know what societal norms are yet. Link was a lot more insufferable back in the day but chilled out as he began interacting with other walks of life.

Has a high paternal instinct and immediately becomes softer around kids and smaller animals.

Has body language similar to a cat/alligator. Slaps his tail when angry or in deep thought. And yes; Link purrs/rumbles when happy.

Loves monster movies - especially the ones where the monsters “win”. He cried when he saw “Beauty and the Beast” and then immediately booed loudly when the Beast turned human.

Does Not Trust doctors or scientists due to bad past experiences. Will only go to Dr Cockroach and Monger if he ever gets hurt/ill. Gets stressed fast if he has to be in a waiting room or doctors office.

Link had no idea what gender indentities or orientations were until recently - he did come from a pre-human civilization that really didnt mind/care about the schemantics. It took him some time to wrap his head around it. He identifies himself as bisexual after much thought and many hours alone on the computer.

Don't press him about his body. He's built different from humans and cis people. He will punch anyone who doesnt respect his or anyone elses identity.

Has been in love before. It didn’t end well.

Will occasionally wear clothes, but finds it a challenge to find anything that fits him. Will give any shoes he finds to Dr Cockroach and BOB to eat.

The best driver/pilot out of all the monsters.

Dr Cockroach:

True name is Jaques-Yves Herbert. Prefers to just go by "Dr Cockroach" because he dislikes the association with his birth family.

Picks up human languages very easily, although not as quickly as he can understand animals.

Parents were a mixed scientist couple. His father was an aggressive “Strong British Man” that would beat him son down for not following orders or for not meeting his standards for a man. Dr C turned down both chances to attend his parents funerals.

This man isn’t straight. He probably uses old-fashioned slang when asked about romance such as; “I am Uranian” or “I wear a green carnation”. It took Susan a few times to realise what he meant, as she is used to a more open minded enviroment.

Got the idea of transforming into a cockroach from reading Franz Kafkas “The Metamorphosis” as a child. He sympathized with Gregor’s abusive situation, and began considering the possibilties of how one could survive better as a creature like a cockroach.

Studied in biology and entomology in the Uk before moving to the states to follow engineering. Obtained his degree in Dance as a “side gig” in University.

Has been barred from free access to the coffee maker/machine due to overnighters. Once stayed awake so long that he forgot the letter “R”.

Owned a terrarium of Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches throughout college. He mourned each of them when his roommate’s iguana got into the tank.

Was a "beatnik" back in the day and still kinda is. Embraces and encourages modern counterculture as he himself was not given such acceptance in his youth. He has however shamefully eaten his old Lenny Bruce album.

Hasn’t actually aged physically since his transformation. He attributes this to the fact that certain athropods can’t age physically beyond maturity. Link is very jealous.

Has obtained more degrees while in captivity, as Monger allowed him access to research and learning materials. He has however had his allowances revoked for previous escape attempts/doomsday devices.

Does still enjoy human food, but the cockroach instinct of "eat detritus" tends to overrule his eating choices. Can’t cook either.

Ironically a terrible driver. The damages from previous drives has made Monger restrict him from operating even a razor scooter.

BOB:

Pretty much considers himself human. Was created by them, raised by one (Monger), and talks like one. Gets sad when he's reminded that no other humans are blue blobs like him.

Absorbed some dna from the scientists present at his "birth", leading to his eye, speech, and omnivorous diet.

Doesnt actually need to breathe (as he can just absorb oxygen through his mass) but the fact that humans Do means that BOB thinks he has to as well.

Shares some physical characteristics with tomatoes/nightshade plants, as he is technically half tomato. He refuses to eat tomatos for this very reason, considering it cannibalism.

Attracts garden pests looking for a tomato plant. This unwittingly makes BOB a pretty good bug zapper.

Still retains his "mental broadcast" ability from "BOB's Big Break" although at a more subtle level. He tends to parrot the things he accidentally "eavesdropped" on.

Is empathetic, and can tell when others aren't doing ok emotionally. Will flop down on someone who’s really sad to comfort them. No brain, only heart.

Best cook out of the monsters. If he doesn’t forget what he’s making at least.

"Whats a gender? Can I eat it?"

Insectosaurus:

Core body is that of a Japanese Silkmoth, although she ended up being spliced with other animals present on the island during her initial mutation; namely ants and ground squirrels.

Eats over a literal ton of mulberry leaves per day. Also enjoys oranges.

Secretly wishes to be more humanoid.

Was only able to pupate and transform due to physical trauma. It seems that her transformation was like a “power-up” that required her to be in geniune distress for it to activate.

First language is Japanese. She learned it from the intial recovery team, and later developed an understanding of English from years in Area 5X.

Goes into torpor in cold weather. Pretty much impossible to wake her up for missions during Winter, as she needs to “rev up” before becoming mobile.

Still very much Link’s best friend. Still enjoys sports, chicks, and beer.

Monger:

Full name is; Warren Rex Monger.

Is very protective of the monsters and will defend them to the death.

Pretty much raised BOB (as seen when BOB was a baby blob in “Night of the Living Carrots”), and considers him his “freaky gelatinous son”.

Has a reputation of being a “control-freak” due to his aggressive overseeing of the monsters’ containment. This toughness is partly because of incidents that occured without his knowledge. Lets just say some scientists have been wedgied/fired for running experiments on the monsters without Monger’s approval.

Has a very “Ron Swanson” emotional response and view of the world. Crying is acceptable only at funerals and at the Grand Canyon (if he hadn’t lost his tear ducts in the war).

Has been married multiple times. Will not confirm or deny if he is currently seeing anyone.

Invisible Man/TiM:

Legit got out but no one at Area 5X is sure how. He suffered a geniune medical emergency and disappeared after surgery. The other monsters were informed that he died from complications to deter them from getting escape ideas.

Is able to be detected in Infrared light. Dr Cockroach managed to rig up goggles to view TiM in case of injury and to foil pranks.

Was a scientist working on an invisibility potion for the military and used himself as a guinea pig. Hasn’t actually been able to replicate his results since - thinks the effect may have been caused by a genetic abnormality.

Dr Cockroach and him are massive rivals. Both actually met eachother pre-transformation through a CalTech expedition. This makes the pair one of few people that have seen the others human face.

Is 100% naked. Was forced to wear clothing once this was discovered.

A massive prankster and a cynic. Him and Link were a force to be reckoned with.

Has revisted the facility multiple times and has started a number of ghost stories.

As a Hirrus Clutumnus stan I got to hear your 2 pieces on him. Also, as a mentally ill person, what are your thoughts on Shivering Isles? (There are parts I rlly vibe with but I understand a lot of it is played for laughs, and I've never had psychosis so idk how people who experience that feel about it. i can only see it from a depression/anxiety/ocd lense)

Heads up for mentions of suicide and assisted suicide, oh and spoilers for an old as fuck game

So, for a long but necessary background, because if Im gonna talk on this i need to be explicit where I'm coming from regarding it, I have StPD AKA diagnosed shivering isles resident at psychiatrist disorder. That for me includes delusions and a lot of paranoia, perceptual hallucinations, magical thinking, highly spiritual angle to life... actually ironic this question comes in now bc my deity has been like. get into and talk about madness for a few days now. take that as an example if you want, including a lot of reading of signs and stuff. basically. talking to things that most people dont think can talk, eccentricity in thought processes and dress and speaking, issues speaking outloud bc words and sentences get jumbled/etc, and connecting the dots between things that aren't related (eg "if I turn this light on the grass outside will stop growing and the farmer will get mad"). Its... also relevant to answering this in a different way to say that Im autistic so... I kinda struggle with discerning the intent behind creating the Isles (like, as you said, being played for laughs) vs the homely feeling I personally get from it.

So yeah, tldr i fucking FEEL the isles, and i may not be the best at interpreting them right

On to the answer (under read more only bc its long)

Hirrus:

Oh man, seriously, as someone whos struggled with depression for a long ass time and..... relevant feelings...... I LOVE how brutally honestly Hirrus is approached. Actually that tends to be one of my favourite parts of how the Isles are approached in general, in that they don't shy away from the brutality of mental illness. Its not just "haha funny goofy land" its "bunch of people brought together by Issues" Like... I know the brutality is probably to show that Sheogorath is a DAEDRIC PRINCE not to be taken lightly (although i am SURE there were a lot of people struggling w mental issues on the Isles dev team who wanted to depict it like this for the sake of realism) but like... Mental illness as Im sure you get as a Hirrus Stan is not just quirky little things but something that devastates lives. It doesnt JUST do that but ill get to that in the overall isles opinion. I think no matter whether the developers are mentally ill or not, if theyre going to approach these topics there needs to be a level of "yep this is fucked up" - in a VERY specific way though. If Hirrus was played in a way that was about the HoK's horRor and suFferINg meeting Hirrus id be like. ew. but since youre literally just meeting someone going through SHIT in a fantasy world.... Oh, the fantasy world bit is super relevant. I think id have some issues with it if it was in our world - the whole hill of suicides thing is absolutely extremely relevant imo as to why this is not just acceptable but a great bit of storytelling. "The real world is dark and dangerous, help someone kill themselves"= dangerous DANGEROUS thing to put in a story. "Im going to show you how fucked up this fantasy world is, and its so fucked up that it turns helping someone kill themselves into a merciful and good bit of storytelling"= good. i like that. The way its implemented is really good storytelling IMO.

On the Isles themselves:

I think it boils down to... Theres a fine line to be walked when talking about mental illness, and even if its played for laughs, they still did it right. Well, i mean. For an old game.

Tbh?? I dont think mental illness, as i touched upon above, is just about devastation and loss and struggles, its also like.... A fantastic thing. I dont have a love-hate relationship w my StPD but a love-....babysit. relationship. Some days its awful like when im convinced bad triggering shit i wont mention is about to happen, somedays my perceptual hallucinations kick in and the world is suddenly oversaturated colours and burningly hi definition, somedays it really helps with grounded things in that i tend to be creative bc i can see reality in weird ways, or it helps (SOMETIMES) with divination and whatnot. But its always something less of a horror assigned to me and more of a confused seriously sight-impaired clone who cant see the world properly and i have to guide them around - StPD comes in between me and my ability to perceive the world around me. The whole display of the divided isles is, yes, a litttlleeee outdated bc i think its meant to partially reference bipolar disorder which, kinda gross thing to do but i guess understandable if you know fuck all about not insulting mentally ill people, and using words like dementia as an aesthetic is a little off-putting, but its so.... homely to have this stark acceptance that illness is a huge consuming SWAMP of a fuckin thing, twisted and dangerous, but also fantastical, inviting, super/post-real.... Mania is my fucking favourite area bc yeah. it approaches what life feels like when the good StPD Issues kick in. This divide also really shows how StPD and similar illnesses work, but colouring (pun intended given the colour schemes) your world view, and turning everyday things (trees, animals) into horrific, desolate things - or weird, beautiful, fantastical things because thats what it FEELS like. plus i think just because some of the devs intended to make this world in reference to a few things, doesnt mean the end product isnt an accurate portrayal of other things. Just because im sure some were like "oo lets use bipolar/dementia/etc for aesthetics" and got it wrong, doesnt mean its not an accurate depiction of other unrelated mental illnesses.

Thats a little subjective but.... on a different note. I think a HUGE thing that makes the Isles work for being a good/palatable depiction as opposed to a bad one is the fact that the Hero BECOMES SHEOGORATH. and the whole questline leading up where you BECOME a member of the isles and really get to know them is..... Is so so paramount to how this Works so it isnt just some zoo you stroll around. Youre either With the Isles AND their population or..... the questline isnt for you. Another HUGE thing is the fact that everyone just......... ugh how do i put this bc of course theres conflict between characters in the isles..... But it just feels like home having StPD where theres this place that everyone has their own thing going on and no one really condemns them for it, not in the way real life does, like. Ah. I guess id say it like: itd be boring as shit if every character was like "oh my GOD everyone around me is CRAZYYYY not ME though" like.... when you have groups of friends that are all Mentally Ill Luv x you can sort of relax and all be your own various shades of the rainbow you know?? Real life tends to see me have to train myself to act normal and not display illness symptoms bc im the odd one out for some reason. The Isles is..... So you know that study done showing how autistics struggle socially with non autistics but can get along fine together? Yeah reminds me of that, where NTs will condemn and belittle and other everyone with serious mental illness - and so if youre a NT youd think that NDs would do the same, just like non autistics think autistics couldnt communicate together - but it takes a level of insight into this to understand in a lot of our friend groups we.... dont fall apart, we actually start to understand each other as similar in different ways. We find other ways to have cohesive social groups without all being in touch with the same version of reality. Whether the devs meant the isles as thought out like that or "haha imagine people being sooooo crazy they dont even know other people are crazy" well, we wont know, but again - an inaccurate attempt to portray one thing can turn into an accurate way to portray another.

Plus, honestly.... There comes a point where, like the whole "theres no ethical consumption under capitalism" thing, I think it matters less the devs intentions and more how the consumer consumes it. If youre NT and like it? I think the issue is when its "haha weird ass crazy people funny, im so glad im not these dudes hey look at how stupid they are", but if youre approaching it like "damn this is a wacky place where people have some serious issues and im going to enjoy the storyline and the humour without treating it like a digital freak show" then i mean.... Idk. Not sure on that angle logically but I do know I dont have that jugdmental reaction to people enjoying it when they arent like the people depicted in the isles

Tldr: I like it. Its either well thought out or a bunch of happy accidents. I think that we can all argue/debate on the intent behind it? Which, if this was created by one singular person, would be EXTREMELY relevant, but since its a whooooole dev team IMO the individual intents matter a little less than the end product as an independent thing. And because of that, the fact that it feels so much like home to people like me, and because yes, it may be played for laughs, but a lot of it (Hirrus for one great example) really is not meant to be funny, and because youre MEANT to become a part of it (and therefore see these people as YOUR people), i think........ Its perfectly alright to really appreciate the isles and enjoy its depiction of people like me - i mean... Lets be honest here.... If it was inaccurate, you wouldnt have as many people on the schizospec and psychotic spec being like damn we love this as we do have

The In-Between. Any entity that normally roamed around there knew the place well. If you visited there, you visited often. Karl regularly roamed around the in between. The only face he saw there was his. Karl’s from different timelines traveled to the In-Between as well, but ever since he had found those ominous books that told him to steer clear of the “alternate Karl’s”, that’s exactly what he did. So seeing a new face there while roaming the brick-white palace startled him.

The stranger didn’t even get the chance to introduce themselves when Karl briskly grabs them by the arm and starts running to the room under the tree.

“Woah-! Wait are you-“

But before the mystery person can finish their sentence, Karl cuts them off as quickly as possible.

“SSHHHH! Please hold on a second, I’ll let you know when you can talk.”

The mystery person nods and stays silent as they make their way under the big tree.

Once they arrive, Karl flops to the ground exhausted from the running.

“It’s the safest down here, no one can see what we’re doing. But that’s besides the point! Who the heck are you and how did you get here?!”

The mystery person slides down against the wall and onto the floor besides him. They think for a second, trying to recall how they had arrived.

“I’m Y/n, I’m a time traveler and somehow I got HERE instead of the place I was planning on going to. I was walking around and I saw a bunch of the alternate versions of you around the place but I figured that if one of them were to- yknow, drag me away and under the tree, that’d be the one I’d need to talk to that isn’t a fake.”

Karl nods in understanding before he realizes.

“Wait- how did you know about the safety room being under the tree? Or the ‘alternate’ me’s not actually being from other realities?”

Y/n looks at Karl with a deadpan expression and leans back into the wall. They swing their arms out in front of them for dramatic effect.

“Well duh, I have an in between! You aren’t the only one, yknow. Did you get a bunch of those creepy, contradicting books from all around the place? The one that told me the useful information was in all caps, and the other one was talking about how great the place is and constantly used smiles. Not the traditional one though, like, it used the brackets instead of the parenthesis.”

Karl shoots up in surprise, they had gotten those too?! He was never aware that there were other time travelers that existed, let alone were able to get into other peoples in between! He nods, eager to ask them questions.

“So, where were you planning on going? You said you didn’t mean to come here, right?”

Y/n nods, remembering where they were trying to go previously.

“Yeah! I forgot the name, but I know that it’s some place underwater. An abandoned city or something. Enough about me though, one of the main reasons we both time travel is to tell stories, right? So tell me about the places you’ve been! Also, what’s your name? You got mine but I never got yours.”

“Ah, right- I’m Karl-!”

Karl turned around and flipped up his hoodie to show his light gray initials embedded onto the white hoodie. Y/n had a long, white robe with vine-like accents on the hems. The ends of the sleeves had Y/n’s initials on them as well.

“Well… the first place I’ve ever visited was this place I like to call….’The Town That Went Mad’! Ever play the video game ‘Town Of Salem’? It was basically that and I was like the host of it, sorta.”

Karl proceeded to explain the different personas and people to Y/n, there were people like Cornelius the Wise, Helga, Miles Memeington, Mayor Jimmy- Helgas husband, Robin the Orphan, Bob (he’s a builder, yknow), Catboy (very deep voice, no one knows why but it’s a strange contrast to the ears and tail. Mutant or furry??), and Jack the Farmer. He explained from how the orphan had tricked the entire town that he was a murderer when he was instead the Jester, to explaining what the word “dunderhead” meant in Helgas context after explaining how she ruthlessly and openly got her husband executed and then soon proceeded to sleep with Bob.

Both of them were crying tears of laughter, listening and recalling their own stories. By the time Karl had finished telling his story, Y/n was on the ground wheezing from how funny they thought the story was.

“And your telling me they all just, DIED?! That’s so anticlimactic, I love it!”

It’s been maybe 3 hours or so of them discussing stories and laughing. As much as these two travel across the fabrics of the universe, they would have never imagined being able to finally tell someone about their travels and experiences!

Y/n then started talking about a Sky Dynasty that lived up in the clouds in a kingdom called The Kingdom Of Synnefa. When they had dropped in, they would have fallen straight through the clouds if a kind man by the name of Galen hadn’t found them hanging off a building ledge for their dear life! Galen let Y/n drop into his wagon and he took them to get Skywalkers, shoes specifically make for walking on clouds.

Y/n had then explained how a very old looking man who looked to be a pig hybrid approached them, asking them if they were new. Apparently the old pig man was the guardian of the Grand Library, saying how he adored the Kingdoms Greek history and fables. The funny part is that his name is Icarus, a very unfortunate demise that Icarus had in the past but apparently that was a sensitive subject for Icarus and he would get very upset if anyone brought it up.

Another 3 hours went by of this time Y/n telling their stories of their travels to The Kingdom Of Synnefa! Both Karl and Y/n were having a wonderful time chatting with one another about both the confusing rivalries between the carnivores and herbivores of the kingdom, as well as how the kingdom was slowly dying due to the mass amounts of pollution damage the “ground dwellers” have been inflicting on The Kingdom Of Synnefa.

Soon though, Y/n had to jump into their next travels- as well as Karl. They said their goodbyes to each other, both obviously upset about having to stop the fun and interesting chat.

“Look, when I leave I’ll figure out how I got in, okay? If I don’t figure it out, it’s been a real pleasure Karl Jacobs. Anyways, off to the abandoned water city I go!”

Karl nods and waves his hands frantically at them, eager and hopeful for Y/n to visit him again.

“See ya around Y/n!”

Y/n then proceeds to take out a small book and pen from inside their robe. They open it and quickly scribble something down before closing it and putting away. Y/n gives Karl a last friendly smile before disappearing in a snap. Before that, they manage to give him one last message.

“Hopefully!”

Isaac wakes up in his bed by the sea docks. Meeting what seems to be his friends and roommates, Benjamin, Cletus, Charles and Monroe. Distant arguing can be heard from the docks. One of the voices sound oddly more familiar than the others to Isaac. Isaac walks over to the dock and finds two people arguing.

“What’s going on here? Why are you guys arguing so early in the morning!”

The two people stand up and point at each other.

“MONROE DOESNT GIVE ME BACK THE F*CKING FISHING ROD!”

“BECAUSE THE LAST TIME YOU CAUGHT A FISH YOU KILLED IT, CLETUS!”

Monroe? Their voice sounds oddly similar to someone else’s, but Isaac can’t quite put his finger on it. He looks down ignoring the minor situation, when he sees a small leather book- then it clicks. Monroe is Y/n! But before Isaac confronts Monroe (Y/n), he picks up the small leather book. It isn’t the one that Y/n had when they left Karl’s In-Between, but it instead had what looked like the directions and coordinates for The Lost City Of Mizu!

“CHARLES! GET THE F*CK OVER HERE SO YOU CAN GUIDE US TO THESE COORDS!!”

Charles walks out of the shared dockside house alongside Benjamin, I hand him the book and start heading for the boats when Monroe stops me. They whisper loud enough so that I can only hear.

“Karl? Is that you?”

“Y/n?! You recognize me!”

We get on the same boat while the others get on theirs as well, and set off following Charles to The Lost City Of Mizu.

“Okay first, we call each other Isaac and Monroe, okay? Don’t break character.”

“I don’t even know HOW I remember! Usually I don’t until I leave!”

“Well that doesn’t matter right now, just try to act like Isaac and not Karl.”

And that’s what they did. Karl was Isaac and Y/n was Monroe.

Once they found The Lost City Of Mizu, they met a man named Ranbob. Ranbob was the last resident of the city, and offered to show the group around. Rooms and rooms of full on history! It was like a huge museum filled with information of a place Ranbob called The Dream SMP, and Karl and Y/n were eating it up. Ranbob had suddenly disappeared, but the group didn’t pay much mind of it as they were trying to get into the Tree Dome.

The Tree Dome room was as marvelous as it was big. The tree was absolutely beautiful, and was also the supply of oxygen for the now abandoned city- though the tree still looks to be thriving tremendously. The group spots a chest on the tree and nominates Cletus to go and retrieve it. Branch after branch and he’s finally up there! But soon after fallen and blown into oblivion because in suddenly appears Ranbob with loads and loads on TNT. Placing it all around the tree and the room, all he says is

“No one survives when they come here.”

And

BOOM!

He sets off the TNT in the tree, Cletus. Before he died, Cletus luckily tossed the group the book he essentially died for so before reading it, the group ran out of the room and shut the iron doors.

The rest of the group had also found a book that had a key to a “Secret Room”, and very soon after they were making they’re way down a certain “Secret Room” only to be met with another book and a room to the side full of lava parkour. Apparently the last person to try and make it past the lava parkour failed, but they know the key or next clue HAS to be there, so Benjamin is nominated to do the lava parkour, failing and falling into the lava on the final step. Bravely after watching his friend die, Isaac (Karl) decides he’s gonna take a go at the parkour, and succeeds! He gets the key and directions to the final room before they can escape and heads to the final room with Monroe and Charles.

The final room is...strange, to say the least. Black brick walls and flooring, the walls lined with diamond armour and weapons. At the end of the small hallway rested what looked like a terrarium. One of the walls were made of glass so they could look in, and what they saw wasn’t what they were expecting. A normal flat biome with grass blocks, a mini cave in the corner that had a few gold ores in it if you looked hard enough, and the strangest of all was the statue of a looming, smiling, green figure in the very center.

“Everyone had a person they idolized.”

Ranbob suddenly appears, interrupting the 3 taking in the room.

“Ranbob? Dude what the f*ck?!”

Y/n reaches for one of the diamond axes lining the wall, when suddenly Ranbob unsheathes a netherite sword.

“Don’t touch anything.”

That’s enough to get Y/n to back up from both the weapons AND Ranbob.

“How are you even here? We thought you DIED!”

But Ranbob didn’t seem to be bothered nor wanted to be bothered by such minuscule questions, and instead walked towards the glass of the terrarium.

“This is my idol. His name is Dream.”

“Was he a good person..?”

Karl questioned hesitantly. He didn’t wanna anger or irritate Ranbob after seeing what he said to Y/n.

“Hmm, yes, he’s a good person. Depending on what you think.”

Karl walks up to the glass and shatters an opening with his elbow. He, Charles and Y/n step into the terrarium, observing the statue and its habitat more closely. But they didn’t get the chance to say much more. Ranbob unsheathes his sword for the last time, trapping everyone inside the terrarium.

“No one makes it out alive.”

GASP!

“What the- where are we?”

…

“Y/n…? Y/n! Your back!”

Gotta Find You (Jungkook x You) (ONESHOT)

A/N:I dont know if this angsty, but its inspired by BTS- Heartbeat and Joe Jonas - Gotta Find You. 💜

To me Heartbeat is about lovers/group of friends who are separated, living in a different world but always known something is missing, that they are fated to do something else together with each other. So they feel incomplete and empty before meeting one another eventhough they lived a full life (somehow like how bts are before they meet each other, all the farmer and pianist stuff you know?) and after they get together, they achieve something wonderful, (which is the most wonderful group in the world of course 😂) and when something tears them apart, they went all out to search for each other again to feel complete (even if its too late)

Well.. that is my understanding of the song but I dont know what I wrote and I almost didnt post this bcs I feel like it sucks so bad 😭 but please, try to enjoy it 💜

Jungkook, are you alright?" Namjoon looks back behind him to the maknae who stops midway.

"Y-yeah.. just that..." Jungkook puts a hand on heart, feeling it racing. "Shes here hyung,"

"Who's here?" Namjoon looks at him puzzled.

"My soulmate. My soulmate is here. Shes out there, in between thousand of our fans out there hyung,"

Namjoon looks at the younger as if he is crazy.

"What are you talking about Jungkook? What soulmate? Is this one of your anime crap again?"

"No hyung. I dont know who she is, or what she looks like, or her name or anything about her. But I know shes here, and when I see her, I'll know hyung,"

"Okay, stop being weird. We are minutes away from starting our show. Can you stop being weird Kookie?" Namjoon sighed. This is not the time to be crazy.

"No hyung, you dont understand. I have always known. When shes sad, or shes happy or shes mad... I know it sounds crazy, but I know, no matter how far apart we are, or how different our worlds are, we are bound to meet and be together, because.." Jungkook smiles. "We are fated to be. Its already written, our fates. Shes my heartbeat hyung, and I'm hers,"

"Okaaayyy... I seriously have no time for crazy right now. Lets go!" Namjoon pulled his hand and ran to the other members to do their motivational circle chant. "Goodluck, lets do our best and lets have fun guys!"

The show went well and Jungkook and Taehyung are playfully running around the stage, waving goodbye to their fans before ending when Jungkook froze, eyes locked with someone in the crowd.

"Hey Kookie? Whats wrong? All okay?" Taehyung whispered, brows furrowed in panic.

"Its her. I found her hyung," Jungkook mumbled.

"Found who?" Taehyung was confused and dumbfounded.

"Her.. my soulmate..,"

Jungkook plays with the necklace hes been wearing for do many years, fiddling the strap as his mind wanders. The noisy background of his hyung playing around while getting ready for their concert in a few hours doesnt bother him at all.

"Hey, you okay?" Jungkook looks at the voice to find Taehyung looking down at him, smiling. "You seem out of it," his eyes didnt miss the way the maknae's hands fiddling with the necklace. "Y/N?"

Jungkook lets out a soft smile.

"Who else hyung? Who else would have occupied my mind like this?"

"What are you thinking about? You can tell me Kookie," Taehyung take out a chair and sits besides the maknae, smiling. Jungkook sighed.

"It was at a concert exactly like this that I first met her hyung,"

"I know," Taehyung smiles. "I was there remember. I thought you were having a stroke," he laughs, making Jungkook smile too.

"I miss her hyung,"

"I know you do. We all know. And we all do too," Taehyung gives a sad smile. "But you will see her again yeah?"

"Will I?"

"You will Kookie. I promise," Taehyung pats his back. "Afterall, you are soulmates,"

Y/N had the shock of her life when one of the members himself ran after her after the concert is finished. At first, she thought maybe its a fan cosplaying as Jungkook or something and ran after her because she left something. But standing a meter away.. looking straight into his brown doe eyes and bunny grininng smile, Y/N is almost 100 percent sure that its the real Jeon Jungkook.

But when he opens his mouth and breathe out oh so slowly, "Its you," Y/N got confuse again. Is this one of her old long lost friends that she should know?

"Uh.. excuse me?"

"Its you," Jungkook took a step closer and hold her hands which she retracts immediately.

"I-I think you have the wrong person S-sir. I dont know you," Y/N stammered.

"I dont know you either," Jungkook laughs. "But I know its you,"

"Huh?" Y/N was starting to think that he is absolutely crazy.

"I know it doesnt make sense, but.. lets get a coffee with me. Right now. Your choice of place and I'll tell you everything,"

"Errr..." Y/N ponders for a moment. Even if she picks the place, he can still kidnap her or kill her or something right?

"You can pick somewhere where there are a lot of people. And you can even tell your friend that you are going out with me. Here, take my photo and give it to them. Better yet, take my number and my identification photo," Jungkook smiles and place his ID on her palm. "Feel more secure now? I'll give whatever you need, I just want to talk to you. Need to,"

After thinking for a few more moments, Y/N finally agrees after passing all his details to her friend. Of course, not after a 5 minute high pitch shreik she received atter her friend recognized the man as Jeon Jungkook.

"So.. uh.. what do you want to tell me Jungkook-ssi?" Y/N asks as they sit face to face at a crowded coffee shop, Jungkook in a mask.

"Well..." Y/N can hear his smile. "Y/N, you are my soulmate and I have been looking for you since forever,"

"Come on you two. Enough being sad. Its show time," Namjoon stand between them, patting both their backs.

Taehyung winks at Jungkook, giving him the encouragement he needs and get a smile in return.

"I'm not sad hyung!" Jungkook laughs, although he perfectly know he cant hide anything from his hyungs.

"You got that right Kookie. You have the whole world at your feet, you have everything you have ever dreamed of, yeah? And most importantly, we have each other," Namjoon smiles.

"We do hyung. We always do," Jungkook nodded and follow his hyungs to the stage. He does have everything. Supportive family, incredible hyungs, lovable fans and he is doing what he loves, and good at, even being paid for it. But no matter how perfect or successful he is right now, it will never be the same without her.

It took a while for him to convinced her about his crazy theory. Its hard to believe, but deep inside Y/N know what he is saying might be true. Her life, as perfect as it is, just doesnt seem... complete. She always feel thats hes destined for more, for something else, for someone else. All her relationship never lasts, theres always this empty feeling in her. But after she starts knowing about Jungkook's group and seeing his face on TV and magazines, it just feels different. Which is why she went to their concert in the first place.

And right now, listening to what he saying, describing exactly what she's been feeling. The feeling she cant even put into words, she knows hes telling the truth.

"Y/N, no matter how far apart we are, or how different our worlds are, we are bound to meet and be together, becaue its already written. You are my fate, and I will always find you,"

Those words struck a cord in her and with a smile she agreed to give him a chance, to get to know him,

And well, 3 years later, here they are, madly in love and finally ready to tell the world about them.

Jungkook tighten the scarf around his neck and put his gloved hands inside his coat pocket. The weather is cold but he still insisted to take a walk. Its the perfect time to do so, since all his hyungs are all exhausted after their concert and immediately retreated to their room once they reach their dorm, so no one will interfere or asks him what hes doing or where he is going.

Jungkook walks through the night, pulling the mask that covers his face even closer. He has been warned to always conceal his identity, no matter where he goes. Even just for a short walk in a nearby neighbourhood.

You are an international star, somebody is always watching you, they said.

And looking at every passerby that keeps glancing back everytime they walked past him, the giggles and the whispering, he knows they are right. No matter where he go, people know who he is. People are watching.

This is the life he chose. And he dont mind it.

Until her.

"But manager-nim, we want to go public. You have to understand," Jungkook flashed his doe eyes to the manager, making him sigh.

"You," he turned to Y/N who is frozen to her chair. "How about you? Do you want to go public?"

"I-I.. uh...,"

"Dont be afraid baby, tell him. I am right here. Always, remember?" Jungkook smile and squeezes her hand for strength.

"W-well," Y/N gave Jungkook a small smile. "If its the best for Jungkook.. and it makes him happy, then yes. I want to go public with him,"

"It wont be good for him!" The manager snapped, making her jumped. "You think I am doing this because I simply want to ruin your life or something? I am doing this for his own g-"

"Good?" Jungkook snickered. "My own good? Manager-nim, we both know its for the company's own good. And since I am not under any dating ban, I am just asking out of courtesy, so no matter what you say, I am going public. I love Y/N, and I want people to know that too," Jungkook slammed the table and drag Y/N out, not looking back.

"Are you sure its a good idea Kookie?" Y/N asked in a small voice as she snuggle closer to him in their bed. "Maybe your manager is right..."

"Hey baby," Jungkook smile and stroke her hair. "Everything is going to be alright. As long as you love me and be by my side, its going to be alright,"

"But-"

"No buts," Jungkook sits up and looks at her. "I told you so many times baby... I have known that I will love you with everything I am even before I met you. And when I see you there at the concert... after so many years.. you think I am going to ever leave you? I love you. And its not just a normal kind love baby, my feelings for you are magical, supernatural, beyond everything anyone could ever imagine," he grins. "And you think I am going to let some manager stops us, you are crazy,"

Y/N's heart soften a bit after listening to him, leaning in closer and hugs him.

"I love you Jeon Jungkook,"

"And I love you L/N Y/N. And I promise you, no matter how far apart we are, or how different our worlds are, I will find you, we are meant to meet and be together, because you are my fate and I am yours baby,"

Its for her own safety Kookie. You know its the right thing to do," Taehyung gave him a small smile and pats his back. We will wait for you in the van. Take all the time you need okay?"

Jungkook sigh and looks back at Y/N whos lying in bed with tubes and wires all over her as his hyungs all retreat to the van waiting outside the hospital.

Going public isnt a good idea afterall. It started with virtual harresment and then it quickly starts being physical and within just one simple second where they both decide to forget about it and just live their life, Y/N ended up in the hospital.

Jungkook take her hand and rubs it slowly as Y/N stirs and open her eyes, smiling at the sight of him.

"Hey..."

"Hey baby," Jungkook cant help but feel the tears pooling in his eyes. Seeing the love of his life in this condition, all because of him.. everything is too much.

"Why are you crying? I'm fine," Y/N smiles. "Hey, I love you. And you said, no matter what happens, as long as I am besides you, we will be okay right? I am beside you right now Jungkook, although like this..," she lets out a choked laugh.

"How can you even joke right now?" Jungkook frowned.

"Because joking is supposed to make you smile," Y/N smile and reached out to touch his face. "I love you Jungkook, no matter what,"

"I-I have to tell you something," Jungkook takes a deep breath.

"I already know Kookie," Y/N smiles.

"N-no you dont. How can you? Let me say it Y/N,"

"I heard your hyungs and your manager Kookie. You guys are pretty loud. I'm not dead you know," she giggles.

"Y/N, let me explain so you will understand..."

"I understand," Y/N smiles at him but tears are rolling down her face.

"You are not supposed to understand! Im leaving you Y/N. I have to leave you because of my career! My stupid career! You are supposed to scream at me, hate me, hit me!" Jungkook's whole body shakes, angry tears running down his own face. How could they make him do this? Telling the love of his life that they are over, while shes laying in a hospital bed? For the same reason he needs to break up with her?

"But I do understand Kookie. I love you, thats why I understand," she squeezes his hand tight.

"I-I cant do this,"

"You have to Kookie. I wont let you choose me over your dreams. I wont!" Y/N shakes her head as much as she can with her condition.

"B-but you are my dream Y/N," Jungkook starts to sobs. "I didnt know what I was missing until I found you. How can you ask me to let you go?"

"Because I will always be with you Kookie. We might not be together, but you know I'm always with you. In there," she smiles and points to his heart. "In there, I'm always yours and you are always mine. Yeah?"

"I cant do this without you. I was only by myself before, if I didn’t know you baby, maybe I’d have given up. You make me everything I am today!"

"Lies Kookie," Y/N giggles between her tears. "You are already great before you met me and you will be great without me. I promise. Do this for me. Okay?"

Jungkook looks down, shoulders shaking as he sobs, hands squeezing hers tight.

"Hey.. dont be like this," Y/N pouts and slowly reached out for her necklace on the bedside table and place it in his palms. "As long as you have this, know that I am here, waiting for you. Come find me Jungkook. When you are all done, come fine me, and I'll be here, waiting for you,"

Between sobs Jungkook looks at the face that still keeps on smiling at him. Between all their ups and down, never failing to smile at him.

"I will find you. I will come back and get you. I promise," Jungkook swore to her and most of all, to himself.

"I know you will Kookie, you always find me. Because-"

"You are my destiny,"

Jungkook stops at the sight of a huge billboard. A billboard filled with the seven faces, faces of him and his hyungs.

Namjoon was right. He have everything he had ever wanted. But even from the first day, something always felt missing, something always tells him that theres something more for him out there, somethimg is wrong, until he met her.

Now thats shes no longer with him, no matter how successful and fullfilling his life seems to be, it will never be enough.

He looks up again at the billboard, his own smiling face staring right back at him. Is this enough? Is this what hes meant to do for the rest of his life? Even if it meant that he will feel this empty feelings every single day?

He slowly take out his gloved hands from his pockets and fiddle with the necklace again. Clasping the locket tight, Jungkook whisper softly, "I found you princess.., I'm coming to see you..."

"I know its hard Kookie, but you know its for your own good right?" Namjoon looks back from the front seat of the van at the maknae. Jungkook just nod weakly.

"You will see hee again Kookie. After everything is over and done, when you are free to do whatever you want, you will see her again," Namjoon tries to make him feels better.

"Yeah?" Jungkook looks at his hyung weakly. "And what if I dont? What if over and done is too late?"

Jungkook continues walking in the cold air until his feet takes him to rows and rows of cold grey stones and he stands in front of one.

"Hi princess..." tears rolls down his face, no sign of stopping. "You promise me you will wait for me to find you, but you lied didnt you? I-I'm sorry I was late... I-I'm sorry I was late to find you.." He knelt down, the ground still fresh, proving to Jungkook of what he doesnt want to believe is real and traced the cold grey headstone with his fingers.

Dororo Epilogue/Post-ending Standalone episode

*WARNING: SLIGHT SPOILERS AHEAD!!*

So I watched the ending and I had a lot of feelings about it, and I came up with a few ideas for a standalone post-episode to explore some concepts I would like to see from the show. Fyi, the pronouns I use for Dororo vary by situation, with a preference for he/him (my headcanon is Dororo is pretty genderfluid!).

About a year after Hyakkimaru went to find himself, aka end of the series (but before the timeskip where Dororo’s hair is long), the episode opens with opens with Hyakkimaru, feeling more at peace with himself, returning to the village Dororo was developing via dad's Harry Potter level of inheritance.

Dororo, who now basically rules this village despite being a literal 9 year old, hears word from his fellow villagers that a wandering stranger with a sword was spotted helping one of the rice farmers because their horse got caught in a ditch (or anything else of that nature). Of course, Dororo immediately comes running, and barrels straight into Hyakkimaru for the sibling reunion hug we deserve.

Then Dororo punches Hyakki on the arm and gives him a hard time for leaving for a whole year without even a ‘goodbye,’ asks 'So what made you decide to come back after a whole year, huh, punk?’

In response, Hyakki pulls out a small, worn, pouch and Dororo says 'woah - Mio’s rice seeds? I thought you would’ve planted them by now already.’

With a little smile, Hyakki goes 'I thought about doing that, but then I remembered you were close with her too, so you have as much of a right to these seeds… so I decided to wait until we could plant them together.’

The rest follows as one expects it to - Dororo teases him for becoming an even bigger softie, and they set off back to the village to grab some farm tools who Hyakki the place, as the camera pans up until the brilliant blue sky fills the frame. That chapter of their lives ends the same way it began, with Hyakkimaru and Dororo - the latter chatting up a storm while the former quietly appreciates - side by side, wandering where they must.

Then the camera pans back down, and where before there was bare paddy, the field is now golden and thriving (same as it was in the show's ending). After a half decade timeskip, Dororo is 15-16 to Hyakki’s 21-22, and the rest of the episode follows them dealing with a demon terrorizing their village, who turns out to be Daigo’s butthurt evil spirit. I don’t have a specific plot, but here are concepts that I’d love to see explored.

First, Grown up badass Dororo running her town, being like her own Alexander Hamilton, except not only does this Alexander Hamilton know finances, how to run a sovereign state, how to outsmart any opponent, rouse even the most downtrodden souls to action with just a few words, she also kicks major butt from training with her big bro. Shoutout to that one post that inspired the idea that her dad's Big Boy genes kicked in during puberty so she’s actually like... as tall as Hyakki. Maybe even an inch taller. She says to anyone who asks that her bro can 'die mad about it’ but they both know that he’s just happy she grew up big and strong.

She totally runs the town and everyone adores/massively respects her; her city takes in the refugees, the poor, the women and children, the diseased, etc, because, in her words, screw samurai and screw their wars. They absorbed Daigo’a old land after offering food, shelter, and jobs to the survivors, thus their town became a pretty respectably sized settlement.

Now, the key to all this - since they don't want to rely on samurai for their power - is the money, right? So Dororo’s power is her knowledge of the treasures secret location (and all the other badass things about her, but I digress). Imagine at some point a small gang of newer villaghers got the bright idea to try and stalk her during one of her mysterious night trips out (she calls them a way to satisfy her wanderlust, but they’re a cover for her sailing to the treasure's location to grab some cash), and they only get as far as spying her enter the docks before their plan goes to heck when they get accosted by Dororo's more loyal villagers who saw them sneaking. ‘Oh sh*t,’ they’re thinking, Dororo sauntering over to them, ‘Oh sh*t, shes got a big sword, oh man oh sh*t this is the end for me - '

But Dororo’s been there before, at the end of her rope and desperate for any edge to survive, she understands how these guys think, and if there’s one thing she’s stubborn to death about it’s that she does NOT run her town like the samurai. Instead, she talks them out of their misdoing and helps them find an honest living, Tales of Ba Sing Se Uncle Iroh style, (except with more volume and verbal threats).

Another concept with Dororo is when Dororo dresses to look like a guy when he and Hyakki take a couple horses and venture into a nearby city (for whatever plot reason), similar to how he did when he was a lot younger.

It’s not fully a secret, but only the older residents of her city know about Dororo’s 'crossdressing' habit, and are accepting of it.

Dororo mentions that while he’s in no way ashamed of presenting female, it often feels more freeing to present male, especially when they're out adventuring - less questions and stares from strangers, etc. Dororo also just likes presenting as male! This way, he identifies with both genders at different times. (It goes without saying Hyakki does his best to use the right pronouns, he never had a strict concept of gender - re: Jukai is the best mom, so it never struck him as odd.)

As for the actual villain of the episode, when she first hears of the Jerk Dad Demon attacking the farms on the outskirts of the village, she only thinks ‘it's just another demon, time to gather the crew and kill this thing-’

It doesn’t go so easily, as the demon’s exceptional strength proves to draw out the confrontation, and it even ends up escaping the first time.

The first to figure it out was Hyakki - he’s most familiar with Daigo’s wrath and the foul creature reeks of the old man. However, everything happened so fast and he sort of… neglected to inform Dororo. When she does find out, they have a short confrontation about it in classic Bickering Siblings Style. It’s understandable that she’s slightly miffed the demonic incarnation of his own awful dad, yes that one, is who they’re fighting and he didn’t bother letting her know.

Hyakki, who, even after a decade of having his voice back, isn't that great at communication/vocalizing his more complex thoughts and working through conflicts with words and thus often comes off as awkward or silently stoic: 'You were busy... and I thought you figured by yourself already?’

Things escalate when the other villagers overhear, and they almost start a riot; angry shouts accusing him of being the reason the demon attacks their settlement from the all the tired men and women, haggard from fending off attacks of not only the demon but also rival bandits and clans who want to take advantage of the city’s time of hardship. Of course, Dororo gets everyone back in lineright before the crowd got to deciding to sacrifice Hyakkimaru, reminding them to focus on the real enemy instead of turning on eachother - but the situation was incredibly bleak. With everyone on edge partially, it was easy to use Hyakki as a scapegoat due to his pacifist tendencies and his stoic nature coming across as almost cowardice.

He taught Dororo how to fight and that's pretty much all the fighting he's done since he came back to plant Mio’s rice, he’s reluctant to pick up the blade again. But the moment a demon shows up he runs off on his own, risking life and limb to confront it head on. Combined with his character’s less than stellar communication skills, it frustrates Dororo in the 'he leaves for a year and doesnt even text me when he's going’ kinda way’ - she's frustrated when he continually refuses to understand that they're family, and at the end of they day theyre kind of all the other has left. So he needs to get it together better and tell her when he’s about to go off and do reckless nonsense. His behavior also presents an interesting dichotomy as Hyakki also struggles with trying to be emotionally detached (lose worldly desires, etc.) and pacifist in the face of attacks from both demon and humans, so he needs to reconcile fighting with the others against attacking clans and risking a redescent into the demon like madness of his teenage years or standing by non violent means of supporting his comrades while facing expectations that he should do more. He wants to atone for his past sins badly and help those who are still living best he can - but how?

(And also make friends other than literally just Dororo.)

Dororo's arc is about her struggles to do the right thing as a leader - it is a lot, to run a whole city. Recent events have caused more deaths amidst her city than ever before, and moral questions about what to do with captured enemy survivors feed doubt into her mind if one day she’ll turn out as bad as the samurai, and how to continue on after having led people in battles that resulted in their deaths.

P.s. I also entertained the idea of Hyakki’s journey to find himself taking much longer, and so the first time Dororo sees him again ever since he got his eyes back is when she's 20, there's rain pouring from the dark sky as her men are carrying lamps around, accounting for the dead and defeated in a latest skirmish with a small rival band that was trying to access her city the non-peaceful way.

At first her men bring her hyakkimaru, thinking he was with the enemy (he happened to be in the wrong place, wrong time. He simply heard of a group heading to a big place that sounded an awful lot like somewhere he would find Dororo - and followed them).

And from the business end of her sword he's on his knees looking up when she goes 'nah. I know him. This bastard's got hell to answer for, but he's not our enemy.’

Events are more or less the same from there, but filled with way more tension and drama here since Hyakki basically dropped off the face of the earth for 10 ish years and Do’s mad about that because, again, he didn't even say 'bye'. So much has changed, but what hasn't changed is Dororo’s anikki's inability to grasp that if one day he went off without telling her and then died, she would have literally no idea where/when/how that was, she would never know if he was alive or dead, and the idea of living in that limbo would terrify anyone. The story being about them learning to come together again, only at the end do they plant Mio’s rice field together.

I ended up trying to flesh the first idea out more because Do & Hyakki’s relationship is all about the things that don't need to be said; that these two will always be there for the other without needing to be asked. The backbone of their relationship was built up as one that didn’t need explicit affirmation because it was already so ingrained to their characters it would be a disservice to them and a waste of time to contrive an entire plot trying to create unnecessary drama between them.

But then again... drama = satisfying character growth, so perhaps it could go either way! Let me know what you think!

this is ragweed hes a thief and general public nuisance who doesnt like anybody. interested in alchemy. doesn’t want to be on anybody’s side but his own

i want him to be friends with medea even though they obviously can’t actually coexist in the same universe lmao

playing the intro again helped a LOT with like. processing what the fuck even happened and also i noticed the dragon both has a name and can apparently talk??

like im guessing this one is an Important Dragon so thats why he has a name and the others dont, and like. yeah the shouts are. dragon words so it makes sense that they have language but. idk there’s something really odd about “monstrous beasts” and “named creatures intelligent enough to have language” being true of the same thing

anyway i now understand that there’s actually two options for which guy to follow out of helgen, you can go with hadvar who is an imperial soldier who sympathized with you but still helped lead you to what was supposed to be your death, or ralof who is one of your fellow prisoners and is a stormcloak soldier

either one leads you along basically the same path and they’re weirdly both from riverwood but don’t seem to know each other??

i didn’t even realize there were two guys calling out to me in the chaos the first time i played. so. medea just blindly followed hadvar because she didn’t see ralof there, hadvar helped her and was kind to her, and she doesn’t understand the politics involved and doesn’t know what she was arrested for in the first place so she feels maybe the imperials had a good reason for wanting to kill her, but still doesn’t trust anyone who leads prisoners to execution without telling them why

but she’s kinder toward them because of hadvar (and she was so confused and disoriented she doesn’t realize he was one of the main officers involved in the execution either)

ragweed however followed ralof, saw hadvar but went NNNNOPE FUCK THAT GUY. he’s actually fond of ralof now and is VERY much on a “FUCK THE IMPERIALS” mindset after what they did to him. headcanoning he just kinda got roped into that whole mess like the other thief did

boy needs some better clothes :’)

for a while i was doing a thing where he’d steal the shoes off every corpse he came across (or created) just to fuck with people like “who’s going around taking all these shoes” but then i got tired of it bc obviously the npcs dont actually notice that happening and it wasnt that funny

so now his new hobby is stealing every egg he can find. when he gets a house hes just going to have this huge pile of eggs

hes not an Evil person hes just very very morally suspect and does not have any reservations about stealing from pretty much anyone. doesnt hurt people without cause but Will at any provocation

also one of the first things that happened on this file was me discovering a cave/bandit hideout/whatever this was that i hadnt seen before, and falling in a pit full of khajit corpses specifically, which seems very particularly ominous,

i was wandering around and came across some of the companions looking over a dead giant and they were immediately mad at me for not helping with it buT THIS WAS ON RAGWEED’S FILE AND HE HADN’T EVEN BEEN TO WHITERUN YET, SO HE DOESN’T KNOW THEM AND ALSO IT WAS DEAD BEFORE I EVEN REALIZED THEY WERE HERE :’)

and like. he doesnt have a reputation or anything yet nobody knows who the fuck he is except for ralof. who does this “YOU THERE. RANDOM GUY I HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE. WHY THE FUCK DIDN’T YOU HELP US” like damn you’re not yelling at the farmers for slacking off

i have no fucking idea whats going on in this family but im psyched about hearts

This’ll be good, thanks for asking! *cracks knuckles* Putting this below the cut, ‘cause it turned out long.

3. What is their first impression of their companions?

For Elera Lavellan, the blind Dalish dreamer mage.

With Cassandra, it was initially hostility - Chantry humans were the kind of people Elera had always been warned to stay away from, and this one was not only accusing her of mass murder but touching her without permission. (Word of advice: if you want Elera to like you, always ask for permission to touch her. She’s OK with being touched, she just hates not knowing that it’s coming.) Once Cassandra allowed her to have a weapon and showed willingness to believe that she was innocent, she softened her opinion somewhat, though she remained wary for a time.

Solas earned her instant respect for his knowledge of complex magic, and for his magical abilities. Elera saw him as the one figure in the first battle that she could trust (erp), since he was a fellow elven apostate surrounded by Chantry servants, and in the aftermath, where he revealed his knowledge of the Fade and affinity for spirits, her respect for him was cemented. A heartbreaking best-friendship was born.

She liked Varric right away for his jokes, and was curious about him, having never really interacted much with a dwarf before. She also knew he was linked to the Champion, too, and was eager to know more.

Vivienne won her respect for her command of magic, and for having the calm, emotion-masking grace that Elera tries to have herself… though it was mingled with the suspicion that a Dalish mage is naturally going to have for a Circle loyalist. She had no idea why in the Creators’ name anyone would want to be in a Circle - though she was willing to listen and try to understand.

With Sera, it was originally a sort of scholarly curiosity - ‘so this is what an elf becomes without any elven culture to guide them?’ Thankfully, she didn’t voice that aloud, and she was also rather amused by Sera’s spirit and odd way of phrasing just about everything. The spark of an amazing unlikely friendship was born.

Bull, she had no idea what to make of at first - whatever she expected a qunari to be like, this wasn’t it. Suspicious of his status as Ben-Hassrath but willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Elera pretty much made up her mind not to form any first impressions of him, but wait until she had a chance to talk properly to him - the only thing she really took away from their first encounter was approval of his obvious love for his men.

With Dorian, she was very curious to see what a human mage who lived free and embraced their magic was like. She was wary - Tevinter and elves aren’t exactly best friends - but she could tell he was on their side, so she put her mistrust aside for the time being.

Things were so mad when she ran into Cole that she didn’t have much time or energy to form a solid impression, but she could tell instantly that he was a spirit - he had a sort of feel of the Fade about him - and that made her instantly predisposed to like him and trust him.

And Blackwall?

So much was decided in that moment where he held up his shield to block that arrow that would have killed her. She was prepared to like him already, because a) Wardens are Dalish allies, and b) she’d talked to Giles the farmer in the Crossroads and listened to him singing Blackwall’s praises. And then the guy blocked an arrow meant for her.

She’ll never admit it, but Elera is terrified of how easily she could just be killed without any idea that it was coming. This man stepped forward to stop it from happening, even though they were strangers. He didn’t draw attention to the fact that he’d done it, either, which might well have embarrassed her. What he was doing with his temporary conscripts impressed her immensely, too - and then the icing on the cake was when he offered to help her, and not for any personal agenda. Just to help.

It wasn’t love at first sight. Heck, it would be impossible for Elera to have love at first sight. But it was definitely the spark of something close.

Ugh, that became long.

4. Where does your Inquisitor spend most of their time in Haven? In Skyhold?

In Haven, Elera actually spent most of her time in Solas’s little hut. The two of them spent hours talking about the Fade and spirits, occasionally making forays into the Fade, and as they became closer friends, he even read to books from her. She also spent a decent amount of time down in the tavern talking to Sera - and, of course, outside the smithy, chatting with Blackwall about the places they’d travelled, and slowly falling for him.

In Skyhold, where she feels a bit more comfortable, Elera likes to pass time in her own room, because she knows where everything is and doesn’t have to worry about tripping over unexpected objects. She often sings to herself to pass the time, or just enters the Fade to wander around in a place where she can see for a while. She can also be found in the stables a lot, for obvious reasons, practising her magic while Blackwall works at his carving. If she’s not there, then - as in Haven - she can be found in Solas’s rotunda or Sera’s tavern room. She tends not to wander much into other places unless there’s a friend with her, because she’s worried about getting lost or falling over and making a fool of herself.

9. Was your Inquisitor pleased or displeased about Morrigan joining the Inquisition?

For my Qunari quizzie, Talan Adaar.

Talan had no reason to be displeased - he doesn’t get magic stuff, so having more people around who understand it is a good thing in his books. Sure, Morrigan seemed a tag shady, but she couldn’t be worse than the apostate elf with apparently no past, the Fade spirit, the Tevinter, or the Ben-Hassrath spy. She’d helped him out and she knew her stuff; that was all he needed to accept her, even if he did keep an eye on her at first.

14. Who drank from the Well of Sorrows?

Morrigan. Talan’s not very ambitious; any power the well could offer him wasn’t really a temptation. He didn’t have a clue what to do with crazy elven magic, and he’s a careful guy - he didn’t want to do something that could kill him, leaving the Inquisition without a leader, Meraad without a brother and Cassandra without a lover. In his eyes, Morrigan was in every way the more qualified, and if she was willing to take the risk, it was her choice.

Inuyasha strode down the dirt path towards the city center, a small inky patch of hair with canine ears identical to his bobbed beside him. In that moment, he was transported back just two nights prior..

"What do you wanna be a boy fer anyways? Boys are.. well their fuckin nasty." Inuyasha asked, picking gunk out of one of his ears with a pinky nail and flicking it to the side..as if to prove a point.

"I just.. I've never felt like a girl. This.. this body feels like it doesnt belong to me. Like I'm in a costume. These.." Haruka looked down to her small..yet still noticable breast. "THESE, are.. disgusting to me. It's like I had a third arm jutting from my chest. I just.. I want them gone. They make me hate myself. I.. I want to go by Haruhiko from now on. And.. can.. can you talk about me as if I was born a boy?"

Inuyasha looked at the small, but determined frame kneeling in front of him. His throat grew tight as his daughter..no..his son pushed his head into the floor in full dogeza, begging for the right to go by what she..he.. felt was his true self.

Inuyasha was brought back to his present when he looked at the freshly chopped hair that was tied into an inky knot on the child's head.

"Greetings, Inuyasha! What brings you to town? " a rice farmer asked, wiping his brow of the sweat that had accumulated during his labouring.

"Getting fabric. Kagome is making some new hakama for the runt.. well both runts." The half demon shrugged, remembering how Shippo had completely destroyed his last nice pair while playing a prank on Hachi.

Mindlessly, Inuyasha dug a knuckle into the scalp beside him, gaining a light growl and a hand swat from the recipient.

"Ah! Haruka! I didnt see you there, behind your father! She always has been a shyer type, hasn't sh-" "He." Inuyasha interrupted.

"What?" The farmer asked, confused by the interruption.

"He. He has always been shy. And his names Haruhiko. But he will still go by Haru as well." Inuyasha stated, an inky black brow arching up, as if to challenge the man.

And he bit. "Why are you calling a girl a he?" He asked, leaning against his hoe.

"I'm calling my SON a he. Ya got a fuckin problem with it? Just say the word." Inuyasha growled, his hand going to Tetsuiga and gripping the hilt tightly.

The man instantly backed up, hands coming skyward in surrender. "I got it. He."

"And spread the word. I hear 'a anyone disrespecting my son by goin outta their way and calling him by his birth name, I'll be decorating our new place with scalps. You understand?" The hanyou threatened, eyes narrowing.

"Y-yes. Absolutely. Everyone will know by nightfall."

Folding his arms, Inuyasha humphed and jutted his chin towards the town center, starting back on his way.

He was a couple of places away when he realized that Haru wasn't beside him.

Turning back, he caught the young man's golden honey eyes with his. The boy's were brimming with tears, his jaw clenching to try and prevent them from falling.

"Well, get 'cher ass on. We gotta get all that shit fer your mom plus 3 bags of rice. Ya gonna grab-ass around or are you gonna help?" The father asked, thumbing towards the town again.

The young man smiled brightly and nodded his head with vigor, rushing up to his father's side and jumping up to slap his ear.

"YA BRAT!" The man yelled, chasing the laughing boy towards the shops.

It was the beginning of a happier time for their family.. he could just feel it.

Yeah, I think at first he wouldn’t understand and absolutely confused because that’s just now how things went. But with a little explanation from Kagome, he wouldn’t question it and wholly accept his child no matter what and support him/her in whatever their decision is. He would probably be uncertain for a while, and maybe a little scared just in case he said/did the wrong thing, but despite that, he loves his kid no matter what and just wants to be there for them.

How much would insurance cost on a 2015 Mustang 4-cylinder ecoboost?

Just wondering if anyone has an idea on how much insurance will cost. The insurance for the V6 model I know will be somewhere around $400-$500 a month which is obviously too much for me. I plan on putting a 3k down payment for the Mustang and finance for possibly 4-5years. I also plan on selling my current car for a little over 2.2k. I believe this will only be possible for me to do if the insurance is around $300 a month. The Ecoboost mustang is a 4 cylinder 2 door muscle car but with a turbo engine putting about 305HP. It gets more mpg than the V6 but is faster than the V6. Thank you for any answers and I know for now nothing is 100% true until I actually get a quote. Oh I also live in the LA County area as I know this will sadly most likely increase the insurance cost by 40%.
