honestly i think heavy is SO underrated as a character by the fandom in general, not just on this site. like?? from what i can infer from these lines in poker night, he's guy who has this innate fear of failing and would of likely been retired or on a different career if not for the fact that he loves his craft. he loves killing and maiming and using his guns to do it. it's so FASCINATING and i wish we dissected that more often.

he cares about his weaponry to just about the same amount as people. he has hobbies, often adjacent to his violence, and will happily seek people with that as a common interest. he thinks of his co-workers highly and most insults he hurls at them here are because he knows they can do better (spy exempt.) and he greatly fears letting his teammates down. so he'll do everything in his power to be the best at what he does. AAUGHH

OKAY SO I MADE A KINDA LONG RANT ABT THEOWYN AND ANGELO AND IT'S MOSTLY ME JUST BREAKING IT DOWN SO BE WARNED (another warning; i use a lot of probs 😭💥 )

angelo's a bard, and i'll just assume he knows a lot abt human emotions bc of that, though he's a lil stupid but he's got the spirit.

angelo prob only knows how to write epics and generally positive things. (based on that 1 comment on the ep. 8 of just esperia things) theowyn prob would've liked more emotional or somber songs that still have good endings. she prob would've enjoyed a good fairytale but that's like my hc since we don't rlly know too much abt her.

angelo would never back down an opportunity to brighten a girl's day, so he'll still try to make her happy the next time he meets her even though their last encounter wasn't so great. he'll have to learn more abt her and adjust things for her, and there's no harm in telling someone what makes you comfortable and what doesn't unless you take advantage of that someone's kindness, and theowyn def isn't the type to take advantage. she's too babygirl.

angelo would prob just resort to telling her tales and singing epic ballads to her since it seems those are what makes her be in a good mood. and also, he'd talk to her abt her feelings bc of what i said abt him being a bard. he'd give her gifts and such, though the prev mentioned things and playing w harry seems to be enough for her. basically, he's a therapist friend.

only downside though; he reminds her of edwin 👎👎👎

she's prob got serious trust issues, so it takes a while to let herself like angelo. but through time and patience they'll learn enough abt each other to trust each other and just casually hang out. angelo is a nice man and he teaches theowyn how to be nicer to herself- THAT'S SO CUTE I'M GONNA EXPLODE THEM- anyways.

through angelo, theowyn learns how to be "less sad" or learns abt the beauties of life in ways she could understand (i mean, a passionate artist usually tends to do that) and what does angelo get in return? a deadly graveborn gf to protect him at all costs (them being bffs is good too and i think that's even cuter and better)

Favs are easy

Alastor. Well, you could've guessed lol. He's the reason i'm in the fandom. I don't know why i like him that much. Maybe because he's creepy, powerful, but also not the MOST powerful (although in my head i want him to be teehee), also cool voice and the fact that he was almost cut in half and had a mental breakdown. I started liking him AFTER the season ended, so, i guess, seeing him being destroyed by Adam was Important. Also he's ace (and most likely aro) so i don't have to worry that he'll be involved in some ungodly ship in the future (I DON'T HAVE TO WORRY, RIGHT? RIGHT????). I want to see him suffer, i want to see him broken, i want to see him rise and conquer Hell.

Rosie. HOW CAN YOU NOT LIKE HER? She's amazing on her own, but i guess she didn't have enough screen time to be my favorite on her own. But her dynamic with Alastor worth a world, PLEASE I'M BEGGING, I WANNA SEE MORE OF THEM IN SEASON 2. LET THEM BE MARRIED FOR TAX REASONS AND RUB IT IN LUCIFERS PATHETIC FACE

Angel Dust?? Maybe. I'm not sure. He COULD be my favorite, he has incredible angst, it's delicious... But the problem is - he's too horny for my ace ass and his angst mostly revolves around sex which i don't like.

But it's harder to choose which characters i dislike, because i either like them or just don't care enough. but...

Valentino. I mean. He's great antagonist for Angel, and i would LOVE to see him being murdered in the most brutal way... But still, when i think about Val i don't have anything positive about him.

Lucifer. Don't get me wrong. He's fun (his line about depression is iconic), he's silly little guy. But he's TOO silly for my liking. And i wouldn't care about him at all, if it weren't for the... *sigh* the fandom and the fucking r*dio*plle. I hate this ship so much (BECAUSE IT'S EVERYWHERE AAGGHHPGFRRGFG) that it makes me dislike Lucifer too, and be suspicious about any art where i see him and Alastor interacting which is a pity because they have really fun dynamic in canon and i would love to see where it goes. But the fandom ruined it. Thanks, hazbin fandom.

It's hard to choose third one. Because other characters... Well, i don't care about them and i don't feel anything negative about them. Adam? I actually like him, he's fun and his relationships with Lute actually my second fav ship in the show (first being platonic radiorose). I like Lute too (how can i say no to a warrior girl who's little bit fucked up) (and also if she's gonna have revenge arch... Alastor may have to move a bit and share the first place with her)

Ehm, anyway... i can't find third character i dislike even slightly. Maybe i'll remember something later, maybe not, maybe season 2 eill have someone i'll add to the list haha

Okay, so I just finished my first watch of s2 of 9-1-1, and here are my overall thoughts:

- So Abby just completely disappeared? No decency to tell Buck they were over? No wonder I’d never really heard about her.

- I’ve only known Eddie for one season but if anything happened to him I would kill everyone and then myself.

- Guys, when I’d heard about the Buck and Eddie ship, I’d expected subtle queer coding, not blatant flirting…? The times they interacted this season were charged with sexual energy, what do you MEAN some people don’t see it?? I guess if you see that shit for seasons and then nothing ever happens about it, I can see why people would complain of blatant queerbaiting.

- in kind of the same point as the last… Buck and Eddie don’t really seem like best friends yet (because their interactions are few and far between, and when they do interact, it’s laden with sexual tension), but I ADORE how much Buck already seems to care for Christopher. I know there is much more to come, but it’s cute seeing them in the early days.

- The threads for Buck’s bisexuality have been there from the beginning btw, said as someone who knows very little about what the plans were. If the intention was to have Buck be a straight man, they maybe shouldn’t have had him connect with basically every gay person he meets & then stare at boys like that.

- The character development happening with every single one of the characters is soooo satisfying. This show is addictive. My fav character is definitely still Buck, but Hen is a very close second.

- I love Maddie so much, and her story is very heartbreaking. Mildly triggering, tbh, but important.

I definitely liked this season better. The character dynamics are more natural now, storylines are getting more satisfying conclusions (though I would still love more of the stuff they mention off screen to happen ON screen), and because the season was so much longer, there were episodes that were dedicated to the backstories of the characters…which helped me connect more with them. I love every character in the 118 and I’m nervous about what’s coming (bc I know the tsunami is coming 👀)

Most of these are just Pony interacting with the gang and his brothers 😭 are they gonna be OOC? Probably. Do I care? No. Am I right abt all of these? Yes. (No.)

ALSO alot of them are post-main story/mention Dally and Johnny's death a lot cuz I am unable to let my favs be happy 🫶 (! None of these are ships btw,, they're all platonic and stuff lol)

Anyways,,

Ponyboy & Johnny

Johnny and Pony regularly have conversations quietly around the gang, most of the time they have a whole conversation with just a couple looks and jerks of their head. They both seem to get what they're saying while the rest of the gang is completely lost on what they're saying/talking about.

Pony is the only one who calls Johnny, J as a nickname.

"We're not scared because monsters don't live here." Was a sentence said many, many time in the abandoned church.

Pony and Johnny can lie pretty well, but when they have to lie together they suck.

Ponyboy & Dally (ft. Johnny)

After Johnny and Dally died Pony stopped drawing and reading or writing for awhile. He picked it up again and his sketchbook is full of doodles and sketches of Johnny and Dally.

Dally has a soft spot for only Johnny and Pony. It takes a lot for him to get soft with the rest of the gang. He's still mean and tough but more just teasing with Johnny and Pony.

Before the fire Pony would read out loud all the time while Johnny would just sit and listen, sometimes Dally would listen too but interrupt with questions and criticizing the characters. Now that they're both gone, Pony will sometimes read out loud on his own, pretending that both Johnny and Dally are there listening.

Dally is very supportive of Ponys hobby in art. He's usually the one who catches him sketching or painting and just watches until Pony is either finished or notices he's being watched. Dally always nods in greeting and says "keep it up, kid." Or "nice job, kid." But Dally will brag to his other buddies that aren't the gang about how talented the kid is. ("Nah man, the kid draws from memory. He drew this one picture of his big brother, yeah the big big one, looked exactly like him. Like a photograph almost. Kids real talented.")

Ponyboy & Steve

Steve says he can't stand Pony and is mean to him, but Steve is very high on the list of people who care about Pony. He's the most frantic (mostly angry) one next to Soda when Pony got jumped. He secretly cares about him a whole lot, like he's his own brother.

Steve will give Pony rides to places or offer rides time to time. (He only does it if Pony's gone awhile without annoying him lol)

Steve (and Soda, but surprisingly it was Steve's idea) took Pony to his first drag race. He definitely should have not been there.

Ponyboy & Two-bit

Two-bit and Steve started sitting in and listening to Pony read, they're not Johnny and Dally but Pony appreciates it nonetheless.

Two-bit was actually so obsessed with toddler Ponyboy, he always insisted on bringing him with the gang and letting him in on games, he always wanted a little brother. He loved how easy Pony was to entertain and make laugh.

Two-bit was the only one who didn't think twice about Pony and Soda's names.

Two-bit sometimes steals art supplies for Pony.

Ponyboy & Sodapop

When Pony would visit the DX Soda would walk him through fixing a car and even let him help out on small stuff. Even Steve would help too.

He'll leave notes everywhere for Pony and Darry and sometimes the gang. They're either dumb jokes or funny little drawings.

Soda gets very excited when Pony asks him anything abt cars, he'll talk for hours abt them.

Soda was so obsessed with Pony when he was born, all he wanted to do was hold him and hang out with him. He would brag to Darry that he's not the only big brother now lol.

Ponyboy & Darry (I'm so obsessed with their dynamic & their growth)

"Dang it Ponyboy you're giving me gray hairs at 20!" Is a regular sentence said at the Curtis residence.

Darry always tells the other guys to be careful with Pony when they're rough housing. Pony thinks it's cuz he doesn't want them to break anything in the house, Darry just doesn't want Pony to get hurt.

Toddler Pony would follow Darry and Soda/the gang everywhere but mainly Darry. If Darry was doing homework in his room then boom Pony would be in there quietly playing or sleeping on Darry's bed.

Darry regularly cuts Soda, Pony and his own hair. They don't have the privilege of going somewhere to do it so Darry just does it and he does surprisingly well. It's a whole day activity.

The night after Dally and Johnny died Pony had trouble sleeping, even though soda was there. The first person he went to for comfort was Darry. Darry was in the kitchen cleaning, trying to distract himself when Pony walked in. Darry held him in his arms the rest of the night.

On the first father's day without their parents Pony makes a card with a drawing of him and Darry on it and leaves it on the kitchen table for him because he's embarrassed. Darry keeps it forever. (He did get very emotional over it but not infront of anybody. When he got home he hugged Pony, smiled and walked away. Those actions spoke a thousand words between the two and Pony knew he said thanks.)

I will be doing more of these 🙏 I wanna try to do individual characters cuz ik some here didn't have a lot as well as ALL of these being pony centric and I love them all lol

12. Even though the whole purpose of Lucius's disguise speech was escaping, it's still hella meaningful. I love the way this show makes you actually think about stuff, but doesn't let you dwell on something for too long not to overthink much.

14. Look, Izzy reminds me of Puss in Boots in this ep, and I cannot shake the feeling. Maybe he wanted to leave his signature, so he decided to shred Stede's shirt? I'm trying really hard to find any explanation, but I've run out of excuses right from the very start.

15. I love the way Stede completely ignores the 'gentler things' part of that man's advice. He's like I know some men are made for them, I'm one of these men, doesn't make me stop wanting to do something else for a change.

Izzy's response about not thinking much and instead doing as they're told (obeying Blackbeard's order to follow Stede's ship) deserves a separate post, it's clearly not just about a distinct power imbalance within the crew, there's at least a little more to that. Right now I've got just some cursory knowledge of the character, like an overall vibe, so to say. So far the Blackbeard/Izzy dynamic is also yet to be comprehended, but I can see there's some hella unhealthy pattern in the relationship and it clearly affects the crew as a whole.

The dynamic kind of reminds me of Phineas and Ferb's parents in a sense where the dad infodumps to the mom and she just listens + enjoys it(❁´◡`❁) I LOVE that dynamic btw! It's such an endearing dynamic that to find it in my fav tdi ship is so sweet (to me at least!)

Since Heather always has her hair up in a ponytail in the main series, I thought a nice way to show her trust is with her hair! In general her hair has always been something special to her, that's why she fought for a wig in season 2. Since an AMAZING amount of value is placed on her hair, her showing her trust to Alejandro through her hair would be a nice way to visually show she trusts him! Alejandro basically the only genuine bond she's shown to make in the series, canon and in the fic, so I think the swap hcs make it just all the more sweet (/▽＼) !! In a way, since to Swap-ejandro Heather is just a celebrity crush, this sort of interaction deepens their relationship and his feelings beyond just a celeb crush (❁´◡`❁)

NOW FOR THE LAST HC!

This one isn't an Aleheather hc, but moreso a hc focused on Swap-ejandro's appearance! I think that as a trade off, he's not as physically built as canon Alejandro but instead taller compared to him (which is scary considering canonically Alejandro is 6 ft..) Since he's in the place of Sierra in this AU, he probably has enough strength to fight off baboons, he probably just has a hidden build! In general, Sierra and Alejandro in this AU had their skills and personalities swapped, so as a result their backstories technically were too with some small tweaks! I think this AU has been fun to make a bunch of hcs in, congrats if u got to the end of me convulsively info dumping about my hcs on the awesome au (lll￢ω￢) !
