Okay, last romance chart for the night is gonna be Sarakael! Ngl, I stared at the love language thing for a solid 5 minutes, because I felt like there should be more on there than just acts of service. Touch is fairly big for him too, but ultimately it's always going to be actions that get through to Sara the most.
Aside from that, he's pretty easy-going in a relationship...for the most part. Like it says on the red flags thing, he can get a little paranoid at random times-- usually after the relationship has been going for a little while, and things have been going well. It ends up being a "...Wait, every other relationship I've seen has had something bad happen by now. Why hasn't anything bad happened with us? What if I'm just not noticing something?" sort of situation, essentially. And not even because he doesn't trust his partner! It's literally because he's been around/seen so few relationships that have been healthy and worked out, that he subconsciously just...assumes that relationships all have messed up stuff happen from time to time. Which is also why he's 'intermediate' on the difficulty scale...though part of me feels I should have given half of that third heart, too.
But no, Sara is usually very much a dog boyfriend. Maybe not quite golden retriever boyfriend, because he can get really protective and defensive over his s/o, but still dog nonetheless.

The Simulation (or as ELOHIM called it; the Garden of Worlds) was made of many disparate areas connected via a temple. Each area had a different aesthetic and ELOHIM designed each one using assets provided to him by the Institute for Applied Noematics, who designed the whole system (and him).
He built these 'worlds' much like a video game developer builds maps for their game, but using pre-made assets. And he was quite proud of each area, particularly of the puzzles within. But this post is about one area in particular; World B, the ancient Egypt section.
Of all the worlds in his Garden this was the most distinct, and his favorite.
After Athena shuts the Simulation down she chooses to upload its remnants, and thus ELOHIM, to the Gold Disk that becomes the basis for new AIs and the core of their shared neural network. When creating new robotic people to rebuild civilization there is a boot-up and calibration process that takes place in this new virtual network environment, and we see that it appears to be a rebuild of part of the Simulation. Notably the Egypt section.
And when those people go into Sleep Mode their AI, their consciousness, falls back to that core basis; what is left of the Simulation. It's in shambles, a very visually glitchy environment, and notably is only the Egypt section.
Parts of World B/Egypt are all that remain of the Simulation aside from ELOHIM himself because it was his favorite place. When the system was shutting down he, in a sense, clung to that part. He didn't know he was going to survive, that Athena would save him. He thought in that very moment his death was finally at hand, and he chose to shift as much of his code as possible to be close to those file locations; one last comfort in his farewell.
In doing so it meant that upon upload it was mostly his code and those files that were retained, and thus what was available to him when creating the new calibration environment. He's just as proud of that environment and its puzzles as he was of the matching part of the Simulation.
And I think his love of those ancient-Egypt-styled assets would translate to a love of the real thing. He'd like to see the pyramids one day. The old human civilization may be gone but many of their structures still stand, and those pyramids have certainly stood the test of time. Perhaps one day his children will expand their reach across the globe and he'll be able to see them through their eyes. Or perhaps in his crossover verse someone will take him there.

I do this thing where a character will be introduced without any pronoun usage and I’ll be like ‘their pronouns are they/it’ completely unprompted, and believe it with such earnest totality thats its like. Its not a headcanon. Its sincerely the truth to me. And then they get he/himed and i feel like i got shot.
Elohim he/himed MLA and it was fucked up like. Listen I know you don’t like them but you can’t just misgender people because you don’t like them dad.

In your Herd of Gods story, do you have any headcanon voices for your characters?
Herd of the Gods is my original story (well original as it can be cuz I am taking liberties with various mythology and what not)
And I do have some headcannon voices. They're mainly from songs cuz I take a lot of inspiration from the music I listen to
Michael/Lucifer (they sound alike on account they are a split of the first angel Elohim made): the main singer of Bayside; best song for Mike and Lu would be You're No Match For Me
Gabriel: John Mulaney. He's basically the beginning inspiration for gabe
I'll probably just update this post or something when I do get headcannons for them. I'm just very particular I guess heh

Something i headcanoned before the Canaan event was translated was that Azazel resents god for The Flood because The Flood happened after the angels statted fucking around with humans--y'know, Azazel's charge attack being "Bene Ha Elohim", Sons of God. And The Flood kiled his children and all. Though he seems to see every punishment as an act of love, I imagine he wants to, er, drown god in his love as a result, were he ever allowed to meet the almighty again. It's not venegence! It's love! Love!!
Now that I've actually read the Canaan event, wouldn't it be nice if he didn't know they survived and learned later, likely from Dagon himself? Since Dagon is an Old One, Nyarl would know him and could drag Azazel to meet him after he learns about the Canaan event--because he wants to see what'd happen. His own father didn't love him, so maybe he wants to see what happens when a "father" meets a "child" he thought he lost a long time ago.
I mean I figure Azazel would probably bang Dagon at the end of the day. But disregarding that. Until that happens Nyarl would probably be annoyed by the fact that it'd probably be a happy ending/reunion. Or maybe he wouldn't. You never really know with that guy.

- Crowley, Anathema, and Death are in a band together called ‘Midnight Vipers’
- The ‘Tori gets zombie makeup stuck to her face episode’ was about Beez, Dagon, and Eric. So while Beez had to perform looking like the crypt keeper, Dagon and Eric drove to get the solvent and ice cream :)
- Frannie and Famine run the Eden Arts version of ‘The Slap’ with Bernie as Frannie’s co-head journalist.
- Ribby was a present from Hastur’s grandpop from when he was a kid
- Pollution DJs and runs sound at all the school dances and after school events.
- Agnes has been working at Eden Arts the longest out of any of the teachers, and was just so excited when her granddaughter Anathema thought about going
- Newt and Anathema have known each other since they were kids and are prime wlw mlm solidarity
- The Them are the youngest students at the school, prodigy dance kids all four of them. War’s a little threatened by their talent.
- Gabriel got in because his parents are family-friends with Principal Elohim (God)
- Crowley and Beez are half-siblings on their dad’s side
- Michael and Uriel are a duet act at karaoke every time they sing.

Headcanons!
((I just feel like writing headcanons about Elohim for some reason.))
She loves closed in spaces.
She's like a easily frightened cat with the "If I fits I sits" policy.
When she feels safe Elohim justs takes a nap right then and there.
That's mostly due to the fact that her anxiety keeps her awake and alert most of the time.
Slightly problematic as sometimes she finds the oddest small spaces in the base, and sleeps there.
("She's on the refrigerator!" "Shh I know! We can't startle her she might fall off." "Bee I need my lucky charms.")
Other than those occurrences she sticks to her room.
Her memories of before the new order are faint, but were never taken away.
Don't. Take. Away. Her. Plushies. Ever.
The dear loves baking stuff with Beezy.
(It reminds her how she used to create things without any ailments to befall upon her. Yet those memories aren't so clear anymore.)
She also gets concerned that Beezy will eat too much raw cookie dough.
Her hair, my god her hair.
You see, she brushes it, but her hair just gets knotted up anyways.
There's just no taming it.
It doesn't need to be said that Elohim has agoraphobia.
Leaving her own room is a daily challenge, good luck getting her out of the base.
Doesn't have many interests other than baking and her plushies.
If she's introduced to more things, than her horizons will perhaps expand.
Maybe then, someday she might not be afraid.
Her dog's(remember the puppy she kept?) name is Sophia.
Sophia tends to walk up and gently nudge Elohim when she forgets to eat again.
Sophia is putting on pounds as Elohim just spoils her with treats.
Good thing she still growing.

Another thing that these charts made me start thinking about again, is the whole gender issue with the Elohim angels. They're all able to more or less change at will to whatever they want/suits their view of themselves, with the help of the Sacred Waters. (minus Enoch and Elijah, who don't need it, but struggle to actually change, the longer they stay in one particular form) But shortly after they were all created, their father, who had long since been driven mad by an affliction called the tzowld (which I have to write a little thing about eventually, but today is not that day!), ordered them to all take male forms.
Though he never outright expressed to them why he wanted them to do so, they've all done a good deal of speculation about it. That it's because he wanted them to be closer to him than their mother, Heaven, or because he didn't want to be reminded of their mother as much as possible when he looked at them. They don't believe that it's because of anything like him seeing males as "superior" to other genders and sexes, since...really, he only cared enough to believe that he was superior to everyone else.
Regardless of his reasoning though, with their father (and mother, for that matter) now dead, they're free to take whatever form they wish to. Which has had me wondering if any of them would choose to do so, since almost half of them-- Jophiel (nb), Sachiel (f), Jehiel (f), and Yeheriel (inter) out of the older Elohim siblings, and Gabriel (nb), Remiel (nb), and Azrael (inter) out of the younger siblings, as well as Enoch (f)-- originally chose/weren't male before that.
And I realized that, while two or three of them might have already done so (I'm thinking probably Eri, Emi, and maybe Azra though I see him more-so going back and forth as he pleases), the rest have probably just stayed as they are. The main reasons being that they haven't really fully realized "Hey, I have a choice in this now" yet, or because they're just so used to it that even if they wanted to change, they'd probably feel like they were doing something wrong (Jophi and Sachi). Or they're so used to it that they've just become more comfortable staying as they are. (Gabe and Jehi)
As for Enoch, it's more a mix of the second one, where it would feel like he was doing something wrong, but more-so just that it would feel so incredibly vulnerable to him. It would be like he was suddenly walking around completely naked, or something. Not to mention it just brings up some bad memories for him...so even if a part of him does want to change back, (or more likely, just to be able to change to whatever he likes, whenever he likes) I'm not sure if he'll be able to convince himself to do so any time soon.

ELOHIM is the reason Miranda's code was not wiped from the Machine.
She was logged in, fully connected, when her body was destroyed. Athena thought her dead. Cornelius on the other hand refused to give up hope that some trace of her was still in there, caught in the buffer.
When explaining this to 1k he does mention the possibility that with all the updates since the incident it's entirely possible her code had been wiped from the system, but he doesn't think that's the case. And he's right. She was still in there. But she would have been wiped by those updates if not for ELOHIM.
Cornelius has 1k venture into the system to find her code, and the area he finds her in is modeled exactly like the Simulation. It's chaotic and glitchy like Sleep Mode, clearly the remnants of the Simulation that are at the core of everyone's code, but it's also more than that; it's a proper area that isn't just scattered remnants thrown about, and it has mines.
The mines don't exist in the Sleep Mode version of the Simulation's remnants. That's dangerous. Back in the Simulation ELOHIM directly referred to them as "This land's guardians" when warning Athena about them.
Why would Miranda's code be stored in a place coded from remnants of the Simulation? Well it could be that her programming activated Sleep Mode even without a body and her code went into a sort of stasis, but that does not explain the mines. The mines that attacked 1k whenever he tried to get close to her. No, this wasn't just a stasis; she was being actively protected by something. It wasn't Athena as this was before Athena plugged herself in and she didn't know Miranda was there. Likewise the Machine had no reason to save her code. No, Miranda was being protected by some other force. But what else was there?
ELOHIM is connected to everyone via the remnants of the Simulation in their base code and their shared network. He is a part of everyone, able to witness everything they do, and when Miranda connected to the Machine so did the base part of her code that is a bit of him. That part is tied to Sleep Mode, to the remnants of the Simulation. That part, now connected to the Machine as well, crafted that area to keep Miranda's code safe. To protect her from the updates erasing her.
ELOHIM guarded Miranda's code until Cornelius and 1k were able to retrieve her. He wasn't able to tell anyone else she was still alive as the fragment of him that knew and was guarding her was disconnected from the network, isolated to her code in the Machine, unable to communicate with anyone else beyond it. Thus it wasn't like he was actively, as a sentient thought, doing so, but rather that a fragment of him was instinctually protecting his child. And perhaps a slight bias that she was Athena's daughter.
ELOHIM himself as a whole only knew, fully knew what happened and regained that data, when Miranda was uploaded to a new body and reconnected to the network.
But what matters is that he protected her. He's a caretaker after all.

Kingkiller Chronicles books. Disability headcanon:
Auri has anxiety and ptsd - post traumatic stress disorder.
Kvothe has mild adhd - attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
Chronicler might have Aspergers (high functioning autism) - enjoying structure, repetition, fact finding, learning, and recording the truth.
Auri may or may not have Aspergers. She relies on courtly manners, feels safe with certain objects and people, likes things to be organised, clean, and in their proper place.
I agree with @bookcub that Denna has depression.
Elohim might have ptsd. I agree with @logarithmicpanda that Elodin has adhd.

Modified Angelic Hierarchy
Some time back, I made a little post about Angelic hierarchies.  It gets complicated!  Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite, a Christian theologian of the late 5th century, described nine Choirs, ranked from highest to lowest:
Seraphim Cherubim Thrones Dominions or Lordships Virtues or Strongholds Powers or Authorities Principalities or Rulers Archangels Angels
Maimonides, a 12th century Jewish philosopher, wrote that there were ten Choirs:
Hayoth HaKodesh Ophamim Erelim Hashmallim Seraphim Malakim Elohim Bene Elohim Cherubim Ishim
As you can see, there is quite a bit of conflict.  Theologians were in agreement that "angel" was always a job description rather than a denoted species: Angel, from angelos, means messenger, as does the ma'lak bit of Malakim, though it’s also phonetically similar to the Semitic word for “king”.  I’m completely ignoring this because everyone’s so used to talking about heavenly spirits as “angels” that it would just be pedantic of me to insist on anything else.  Also, I frankly do not care.  Elohim and Bene Elohim provide headaches of their own, as “Elohim” could denote either the singular God of Abraham or multiples of other godly beings.
As I have said before, I'm glad Muslim scholars never particularly cared about ranking angels, or this would be even more confusing.
I've reworked this earlier.  I'm reworking it again.  The Christian hierarchy shall thus denote ranking within the Jewish hierarchy.  For example, the Ophanim are angels whose essence is mystery and white magic.  An Ophanim whose rank is “Power” would be a warrior angel for Heaven’s intelligence agency/ministry of magic.  Maybe.  Maybe the ranks mean different things within different Choirs.  This is subject to change. Anyway, I’ve renamed things to be a little less redundant.  So, we end up with, from highest to lowest:
Hayoth HaKodesh (Ruled by Metatron) Ophamim (Ruled by Raziel) Erelim (Ruled by Tzaphkiel) Hashmallim (Ruled by Tzadkiel) Seraphim (Ruled by Samael) Nakiyoth (Ruled by Raphael) Koveshim (Ruled by Haniel Bene Hodim (Ruled by Michael) Cherubim (Ruled by Gabriel) Ishim (Ruled by Sandalphon)
Within those ranks, we have:
Sceptres Rings Thrones Dominions or Lordships Virtues or Strongholds Powers or Authorities Principalities or Rulers Dignities Potentialities
And some Archangels, such as Azrael, operate outside the hierarchies altogether.
As I said, all subject to change, and I’ll play with whatever system someone’s already got for their own headcanons.

Last but not least, a height chart for the demon princes (which includes one of the second gen princes, with Mei)! Or half of them, anyway. Again, the other half are @feraecor's...which is also where most of the height variation is too sldkfna--
Tumblr media
This doesn't include horn height at all, and...probably very obviously, doesn't reflect their height in their true forms. Those are significantly bigger/taller...except for Belial's, which is made purely of shadow, and has a variable size. I have a post with examples of their true forms somewhere, so I'll reblog that if I find it later!
Also, regardless of the height of the others, Abby is still the tallest out of them. Definitely the most built, too. I'm always joking that he could probably manage to carry around all 9 of his siblings at once-- hinging, of course, on all of them behaving long enough to pull it off, while being that close to each other. Which they couldn't.
