Absolutely disgusted. Charles had a free pitstop which Ferrari opted not to take, despite knowing that the Mercs were also pitting and being in position to take the stop. This was itself only needed due to a combination of allowing Carlos to drive considerably slower than needed to preserve his tyres (and expecting Charles to drop a position to get a 3-second gap to Carlos), and a slow pitstop due to Charles's attempt to back up putting him into Hamilton's path when trying to exit the pits. This isn't about Carlos winning, either - a sensible plan would still have had Carlos win, unless the tyre degredation on the hards was so bad that the Ferraris simply swapped places to keep Norris and the Mercs back in the end. This was purely and entirely damaging to Ferrari. "Winning wasn't the plan" might answer why Charles was willing to try the basic strategy pre-race but it does not explain what Ferrari did to the plan once he was on track. I'm impressed he's still willing to take on further damage to his rep to defend Ferrari at this point. I want to believe they're not deliberately sabotaging Charles and it's just strategic incompetence, but at this point it's difficult to reconcile with Ferrari's strategic behaviour. I wanted to celebrate Carlos' tactical nous, but his team's made that difficult :(

He held out his hand and dark flakes landed in his palm, almost like snow. Smoke coated his mouth, his lungs, and he could feel a cough building.

"Charles," a voice came from behind him. Charles startled, unable to help it, a deer in headlights. It took him a moment to recognize the man as Fernando, out of his Alpine uniform, his hair tucked back in a hat and face hidden behind a mask. "What are you doing back here?"

Charles opened his mouth to speak but nothing came from his unused throat. The smell around them was putrid. Bodies laid strewn about, as if thrown by some unknown force. He could pick out the colors. It had only been days but he didn't want to look closer.

Fernando shook his head. "You can come with me," he said and there was no pity in his voice. He held out his hand. Charles took it.

I was a huge enthusiast of Vincent/Charles (quite tender-obsessive in romance and nothing about any sexual stuff because that didn't really make any sense here). But recently I changed my mind about Charles in very,,, sad direction. Had to witness the worst fucking charles kinnie ever seen on the planet to fully realize his downsides and also have most of the good associations ruined after that. It made me change my mind about the ship too, now their dynamic seem to me a lot less appealing I also enjoyed Bennett and Felix's ship, but I'm not sure if I see it as a romantic or a platonic one, probably closer to platonic. I think Anrie and Charlotte might be a nice ship, but i personally wasn't much into it, so idk And overall i like the concept of everyone being friends. because i love friendships.
