#thinking of how much it would break Erik of Charles called him a monster to his face

Thinking about Erik snapping at Charles with “well maybe you should have fought harder for them” and the pain in his eyes when Charles told him they didn’t want the same things.
#cherik#going insane Erik sitting in that awful cell thinking that Charles will never rescue him but he’ll still know Erik didn’t do this#and him learning Charles thinks he’s a murderer a monster - the one person who had never thought that of him besides his parents - and that#Charles thinks he did do it and he hates everything so much because if Charles gave up hope on him if even Charles is unwilling to fight for#him anymore maybe he truly is a monster and killing raven for the future is just a who he is#thinking of how much it would break Erik of Charles called him a monster to his face#‘you abandoned us all’ but what he means is you abandoned me! you sent me away and you let me rot in prison and you gave up on me#anyways!!! the way Erik wanted Charles to fight for one thing and that was him and he didn’t!! he just gave up and sent him away#listen ok I know Erik left him bleeding on a beach with no way of getting out of there but man I will always be side Erik in the divorce#look at the day the man had!!! he’s paralyzed by fear when confronting his abuser and then Charles tells him to not kill him even tho Erik-#needed it to feel safe like watch the scene watch it!!! and then he’s facing genocide again and this time he can lift the coin and save his#people. then Charles gets shot and he blames ERIK and then he breaks up with Erik like ok I know he’s wounded and all but the fact the#fandom is like ‘oh Charles didn’t mean for them to go he was shot and mad Erik should know better’#but we’re not like ‘oh Erik faced his childhood abuser and then relived something very similar to his trauma#got blamed for his lover’s injury (and like he doesn’t blame himself for him mom too) and then broken up with. he went through so much#lasting emotional trauma in the span of less than one hour how can he know better’#and there’s like a good explanation for why Charles would still blame him like Erik was wearing the helmet he couldn’t have picked up on all#that depth without one of the senses he relies on. but the fandom being like Erik is the bad person in this instance#it seems unfair. also it screams I’m a gentile honestly.#also you can’t tell me part of Erik wasn’t like ‘maybe he’d be better off without me’ when he left the beach#x men#Charles Xavier#erik lehnsherr#ramble rumble#now just don’t think of ‘let him come’ being Erik hoping Charles will finally fight for him and say they should have been together#and instead Charles throws more unfair (well about raven) blame in his face

Charles gets revenge. The third and final installment (though it should also stand on its own). Charles and Erik take their kinky and dysfunctional sex life to an all new level.
twilight by ikeracity, specficslut (homosociality)
"Volatility was a chemical property. Erik remembered Mrs. Berkowitz saying, with the rhythm of a chant, volatility was how likely a substance was to mist into air, and that was how he felt now, like he could dissolve into nothing at any moment, unless he fucked Charles so hard his eyes spun back in his head."
For someone who kills monsters for a living, Erik is irrationally conflicted about the monster in his bed.
Mr & Mr Eisenhardt by faerie_ground
Charles Haller and Erik Eisenhardt meet at a bar, fall in love, and get married. Neither of them know that the other is an assassin working for a rival agency- but they're about to find out real soon.

Maybe it’s even a game between them; he catches Charles often enough, watching him, curious, bemused. He lets it go further than he would, otherwise.
i worry that love is violence by intentation (WIP)
Seven years ago, Erik Lehnsherr vanished from a college bar after a night out. The investigation into his disappearance was brief and inconclusive, and his file was eventually shelved as a cold case.
Seven years later, an MIS raid on the home of one Sebastian Shaw reveals the truth: Erik Lehnsherr had been kidnapped, imprisoned in a cellar, and kept as a sex slave for seven years.
Now, in the aftermath of Shaw's arrest, Erik is confronted with the cold reality of his freedom. His burgeoning relationship with MIS agent Charles Xavier may save him--or destroy them both.
Feeding the idea of you, leaving me starving by hllfire

What We Inherit by populuxe
Ever since David came to live with his father, their relationship has been polite but distant: his father is always working, and David still sort of thinks of him as Charles Xavier, The World’s Most Famous Telepath, a larger-than-life figure he first saw on television five years ago.
But when the grandmother David never knew existed calls and demands to meet her grandson, a harrowing weekend trip reveals how much he and his father don’t know about each other—and alters things between them in ways he never would have predicted.
Unlived Histories (The Double Vision Remix) by populuxe
When he was a boy, a man visited Erik and his mother and helped them escape before the war. Years later, Erik finally learns the man’s identity—but the truth is far more complicated than he ever could have imagined.
Erik’s Flawless Minivan (Terrible Hanukkah Sweaters and Other Life Challenges Remix) by winter_hiems
Erik has two main goals when it comes to his kids’ school: making other parents jealous with how smooth his car runs, and teaming up with Gabrielle Haller to yell at teachers for not respecting their kids’ mutant and Jewish identities.
And then Gabrielle’s ex comes to town. And he’s very attractive.
unconventional by ikeracity
Ten years ago, Charles and Erik co-starred on the explosively popular animated show Greenkeep, where they first earned their big breaks — and where they fell in love. Now, at a cast reunion a decade later, they've made careful, PR-vetted plans to reveal their relationship to the fans with minimal fuss.
Of course — easier said than done.

He's just your sugar daddy, Erik reminds himself every day. You can't be in love with him.
Erik's got it all figured out—a delightful roommate, regular sex, his textbooks paid for. Except for the way his heart goes haywire whenever his sugar daddy is around.
scandal of the century by joshriku
The headline reads:
STEAMY SEX TAPE BETWEEN MAGNETO AND PROFESSOR X LEAKED!
“All right,” Charles says. “I wouldn’t call it steamy, you know, that’s an exaggeration.”
“That is seriously not the point, Professor,” Jean answers.
(A sex tape is leaked. PR crisis ensues).
how near to fairyland by ikeracity for hllfire
Since childhood, Charles has kept all the things he can't let go of in a beautiful room in his head. Cuba brings his precarious balancing act crashing down.
to put the world between us by populuxe
Erik Lehnsherr is one of the hottest actors in Hollywood: fresh off an Academy Award nomination, he’s about to star in HBO’s most anticipated show of the year. And even though online chatter about his recent string of queer roles keeps getting louder, his personal life remains personal—just as it always has, and just as his manager and publicist continue to advise.
But when he winds up at the same wedding as his college best friend, Charles Xavier—and when they quickly fall into bed together—he’s forced to revisit the past he’s been trying to get away from for years. The pull between them has always been magnetic, but so has the weight of secrecy. Can they keep from repeating the same mistakes, or will the price of the truth be too high?

I got an idea and needed to share so here-
Essentially, instead of creating the hex and taking a whole town hostage, Wanda’s explosion of magic causes her to travel through various different worlds in a matter of seconds before eventually ending up in the X-Men universe. She figures this out quickly and is a mix of devastated and relieved because no one knew who she was or what she did here, but on the other hand, she had no idea if she could get back to her world where the Avengers were.
Anyways, Wanda learns about the existence of mutants (let’s say she ends up there sometime after Erik revealed their existence) and she gets super excited because she’s not the only one in this world with odd and dangerous abilities. But she also learns about how they’re treated by humans and is upset bc the government here is not all that different from the one in her world. And she knows first hand what humans do to those who they’re afraid of.
Wanda wants to do something to help mutants, but she’s all alone in a world and time that’s not her own. And she has no idea how to even start helping. So Wanda eventually decided to try and fit in with this new time and figure out what to do next later. She builds a house in the woods not far from the nearest town with her magic, and she spends a lot of time reading about mutants and wondering about what to do next.
She soon realizes that she’s kind of happy in this world. The loss of Vision (and Pietro) still hurts a lot, but in a world where no one is accusing her of being a monster, a world where there are people like her, a world where she can be free, she can finally heal and live. Sure, Wanda misses her friends back home, but she couldn’t keep living the way she did back there. So, after a few months, she decides to stay (not that she knew how to get back to her world in the first place, but you get what I mean)
But then, while she’s in town one day, she overhears a conversation about the government facilities where mutants are being gathered, held hostage, and experimented on. Wanda, remembering her time with Hydra, throws herself into figuring out where these government facilities were, and once she does, she decides to do something about it.
Wanda Maximoff doesn’t like hurting people, but when she breaks into the first facility, all of that is thrown to the side. She rips the place apart with her magic: burning files, destroying information, killing the humans who ran the place, and freeing the mutants held hostage. She brings the mutant children back to their homes, and for the first time in a while, she feels... proud of herself. Theres no anger, no guilt — not even for the humans she killed, because they had it coming — and when she’s thanked by the mutants she saved, it ignites something within her that she hasn’t felt in a long time.
She decides to keep doing it.
Wanda continues breaking into government facilities, continues freeing the mutants held there. She makes sure to hide her face of course, because she’s been on the run for enough times in her life and doesn’t need to be on the run here. And eventually, whispers of a powerful mutant with magic as red as blood freeing those trapped in the government facilities start making their way around.
They aren’t all good whispers though. There is a bounty on her head, people calling for her arrest. But they don’t know what she looks like, as she always makes sure to conceal her face. But they know that she is a woman, and people start calling her ‘The Scarlet Witch’ and some even go as far as to call her ‘daughter of Magneto’ which Wanda doesn’t think much of bc she has no idea that he’s technically her father. But Charles, Raven, Erik, and a few others certainly find it interesting.
Charles tries contacting her through the Cerebro, but Wanda’s magic makes it hard for her to be found. It almost conceals her, in a way. And this only serves to put him on edge. Because the Cerebro has never failed to find a mutant before. But he doesn’t know that Wanda is technically human, just enhanced.
Erik, who is in Poland after the whole ‘trying to kill another president fiasco,’ considers trying to find her. Not because he thinks she’s actually his daughter, but because she is clearly powerful and would be an extreme help in his goals to help mutantkind. But he ultimately chooses not to because he has Nina and his wife, and he doesn’t want to put them in any kind of danger.
Then En Sabah Nur wakes up, and he learns of this ‘Scarlet Witch’ who has been freeing mutants over the past few years and has been shown to be incredibly powerful. He wants to recruit her, but Wanda is extremely hard to track down. Still, he finds her after a hard search, and when he does, he tells her he wants her to join him.
But Wanda has had enough of evil assholes trying to get her to help them with world domination
So yeah, she isn’t interested.

The X-Men and the member they lost - Chapter 5
Summary: Life in Westview was perfect, but a certain visitor would soon change all that.
Previous parts: Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4, Chapter 5, Chapter 6, Chapter 7, Chapter 8,
Chapter 5: The circus
Life in Westview was very pleasant. Charles had only recently joined the Spectacular World of Rapturous Diversions and it quickly became his home. He had been accepted into the circus as the psychic. He had an extravagant room full of cushions for visitors to sit on and a table adorned with a crystal ball. The orb truly wasn’t necessary, it was all for show; he usually sensed whatever he had to no matter the accessory in front of him. He had come alone and wasn’t sure of the reception he would get. He didn’t remember much of who he was before he came to Westview. He had flashes once in a while of a grand mansion, a school perhaps? His lack of backstory didn’t bother him much. When one’s job was to see into people’s future and all sort, it was expected to not remember all of one’s past. Some people were bothered by his ability to read them like an open book, but he thankfully had made some friends.
There was a young man who insisted on people calling him Nightcrawler. He was wonderfully skilled in the art of disappearing. He had seen his act many times and never could figure out how he achieved it. The teen had been born with a peculiar skin condition; he had been shunned by everyone he had met until he had joined the circus. Charles had taken him under his wing, making sure he felt welcomed and supported.
Then there was Mystique. They had grown close very quickly. They had felt like they had known each other for a long time, their camaraderie was similar to one of siblings. He had stumbled upon her act by a lucky coincidence. He had been entranced by her many quick changes and how she could switch between outfits, accessories, and hair in mere seconds and flawlessly every time. He had knocked on her dressing room after her performance and they had talked for hours. They had been close friends since.
Then, there was Erik. He had been looking around the circus through the recently added acts and had found this ‘Magneto’ sign very intriguing. It led to a small stage where the man had various metal objects thrown at him. Some seemed very sharp, but they all fell a little before they reached him. His apparent control over the metal had earned him the nickname ‘man of steel’. Halfway through the performance, they had locked eyes. Strangely enough, it felt familiar? His act had ended quickly after that and the man walked up to Charles, asking him if they knew each other. As unexpected as the question was, he too felt a connection. Like they had gone through a thousand hardships together and had lived through high and lows for what seemed an entire lifetime. They had conversed the night away, talking about the circus and why they had come to Westview of all places. While Charles himself was simply looking for a place with people similar to him, Erik had a different answer. He had been looking for someone but hadn’t been able to remember who. He was certain that it was someone very close to him, someone he had known for awhile, but hadn’t known about his connection with them until recently. The psychic had tried to see whoever it could be, but all he could catch was a silver blur too quick to follow.
They were now playing a game of chess, a sort of bonding time between the two. The crystal ball was moved from its usual spot to make place for the board.
“So,” started Erik, breaking the silence after so long, “how did you end up in a wheelchair? You’re free to ignore the question if it’s a sensitive subject, of course.”
He frowned at the man’s question, how had he ended up in this situation? He closed his eyes in concentration, trying to activate his memory. He didn’t see much, there was an intense feeling of rage that wasn’t his own and he had blindly run towards it. Then, pain had suddenly coursed through his spine. The next thing he saw was that he had fallen and couldn’t feel anything in his legs. “I- I had a bad fall on a beach... I think.”
The man nodded and moved a piece. “I’m sorry.”
Charles tilted his head in confusion, “why do you say that? It’s not your fault, you weren’t there.”
‘Was he? No, he couldn’t have, they just met.’
Erik shrugged his shoulder, lost in thoughts, “I’m not sure... I just feel like I need to apologize.” He shook his head and concentrated back to the game. The psychic could practically see his mind turning and trying to figure out his next move. One of his hand hovered over the bishop piece in hesitation. Suddenly the piece was knocked over without being touched. The men shared a slightly panicked, but more confused look.
“Did that just happen?” Asked Erik.
Charles took the piece in his hand and examined it, it didn’t look like it was rigged or anything. How could it have moved? He handed the piece back to the man, “try that again.”
Erik took the bishop with caution and gently put it on the table. He was about to bring his hand forward when commotion outside was heard. There was a sound of a door closing and a truck driving away as someone screamed to whoever was leaving.
“You get back here! I need you!”
The brown-haired man got up and looked out the tent for a few seconds before looking back at Charles. “We’ve got runaways, I guess I’ll have to cover their act.” He quickly said goodbye with a nod and exited the tent.
Charles was now left alone with his thoughts and confusion. He took the chess piece in his hand and examined it once more. It didn’t make any sense; it shouldn’t have moved by itself. He shook his head with a sigh, it was probably nothing. A little metal game piece couldn’t move by itself, the very notion of this was ridiculous. He wheeled himself over to where the crystal ball had been moved for their game. He gently put it back on the table. He closed his eyes and took deep breaths to ground himself.
The sound of the curtain of his tent being opened pulled him out of his thoughts. A woman walked in, she seemed to be in her thirties, she had green eyes and red hair. He greeted her and let her look around the room. There was a nagging feeling in his brain, telling him to get away from her, but he couldn’t understand why. She was simply visiting the circus on her day off, how much of a danger could she be? They exchanged pleasantries before he told her to take a seat. He concentrated on the woman like he would any other client.
Though, on the contrary to most people for whom he’d see various events and feelings, he could only feel overwhelming grief and pain. He hummed as he tried to make heads and tails of what he was seeing. There was a bomb going off, crushing a building and children hiding under a bed, frightened out of their minds. There was soldiers and dirty cells and blinding pain as unseen power unlocked itself. Then, he saw the woman growing more vengeful as time went on. There were killer robots and a blonde man, he instinctively knew he was her brother. The woman was fighting against the robots now. Suddenly pain ripped through her chest and she realized her brother was dead. A stray thought from the man echoed through her mind, his last thought.
‘I love you, Wanda’
Then everything was silent, and the woman felt awfully empty and alone. Charles sighed as her past was unveiled before him. “I see pain, a lot of pain,” he sighed. “Oh, I’m sorry Wanda, so much loss.” He felt the woman stiffen at his words, but he was already gone in another vision.
There was a team of heroes training her, she tried to work through her pain, but it kept gnawing her. Then there was a mistake, a misdirection. Lagos. Everything went wrong, an unfair law was written. Named after her country, staining it forever. Smearing it in blood and regrets. The team that trained her went against each other, the android she liked was on the opposite side. She didn’t want to hurt him. Her side lost, and now she had to run away. She changed her life, changed her hair; the man visited her. They grew close, they wanted to get away, together. But a threat made them put their plans aside. They met with warriors; the robot needed to have a stone taken out so he could survive. They didn’t have enough time. A purple giant was going to get them. She had to kill her love to save the universe. She didn’t want to, but she had to.
‘It shouldn’t be you, but it is’.
The deed was done. She had done it, she pushed down her growing grief as she told the monster about his defeat. But it wasn’t enough, time was wound back, and the android was there once again. The stone was ripped from his head and he fell limply to the ground. ”I see a great battle, one that was unfortunately lost.” She was still holding on to his corpse when it happened. Charles felt her turn to dust, everything was cold, but she wasn’t afraid. At least, she wouldn’t have to suffer anymore. She’d join her family and lover. “But then everything was made right,” he frowned, “but not for you. You were still alone.” She came back, expecting to be greeted with a corpse again but nothing was around her. “I see... a breaking point, and great suffering.” No one came to her; everyone was rejoicing. All of her grief came crashing back, she had truly lost everyone.
She had to find his body, he had to have a funeral, they deserved it. She had every right, but they still refused her. She went to him; he was being ripped apart for profit. She let her magic explore his head, where the stone had been. She couldn’t feel him, he was gone. She was still alone. She drove to a town, the promise of a future still in the air. But nothing was there, her entire life had been ripped apart without her even having a say in the matter. It wasn’t fair. Life kept taking everything, why couldn’t she be happy? Her magic ripped through her and engulfed the town. Her husband was back, she was home. Everything was alright. Charles couldn’t help but feel for the woman. “Oh Wanda... what have you done?”
He couldn’t understand what he was seeing, he had never heard of any of the events he had witnessed. A sudden pulse of red flashed through his mind and Charles gasped. He remembered everything. Peter’s disappearance, the broadcast, travelling between dimensions, the base, the barrier expanding; he could recall everything. But that didn’t make sense, Wanda’s spell wouldn’t allow it. Wanda was in charge, she was-
She was right in front of him.
Panic surged through him, she was unpredictable, what would she do to him? ‘No, this is like any other mutant that comes at the school. Make her understand that she can trust you.’
He calmed himself down as he extended a hand towards her. “Wanda Maximoff! What an honor to meet you!” She backed off, but he stood his ground. While she seemed in control of everyone, it was a very real possibility that she didn’t realize that they were hurting. Moreover, it was probable that her pain and grief blinded her to the truth. Perhaps she truly thought Peter was her real brother, back from the dead. He had to make sure she could see the situation for what it was. “We have a slight misunderstanding here, your brother, Pietro as you call him, he’s not your brother, not really.” The telepath paused as he tried to take in her reaction, but Wanda was unreadable. He understood her reaction, in a way. Hearing about the multiverse had to be unsettling. Plus, realizing that she let a stranger into her house must be unnerving. Hopefully, she hadn’t hurt him. Perhaps she would even give him back now that she knew the truth. “You see, a team composed of myself and a couple of others, including his father, are here to bring him back.” The woman was still as stoic as ever. She showed no sign of comprehension, perhaps she needed some sort of explanation or proof? Charles obliged. “We crossed universes to get here, it took weeks to find the right calculations. Thanks to your broadcast, we had a good grounding point. The military base kept us updated about Peter. We were brought in as you expanded the Hex, even our member with teleportation powers couldn’t escape. I’m certain it wasn’t your intention to trap us, or Peter, but you have to let us go. We’re not from your universe, we don’t belong here, we- “
“No,” Wanda’s voiced echoed. That caught him off guard. He had met many mutants in his life, but they were generally stable enough to understand right from wrong. “This is my home, I have my husband, my children and my brother. I will not let you take them away.” The professor didn’t like the way she emphasized Peter. His instinct told him that she had already known that he wasn’t truly her Pietro. But that possibility made way for a terrifying truth; she simply didn’t care that he wasn’t the real one and was determined to keep him at her side. However, he wouldn’t allow that, they had traveled all this way, they would not leave empty handed.
“Ms. Maximoff, you have to come to reason, you cannot keep up this lie forever.” Charles enunciated, taking on his authority voice. “What you’re doing is wrong, putting an entire town under mind control-“
“Is better than putting the entire Earth under it,” interrupted Wanda.
So, she truly was aware of her doing. And she didn’t care about the consequences, that was very bad. He focused on her mind, perhaps there was something he could find there that would be able to make her realize how wrong she was. He started making out the outline of what seemed to be a necklace. But, before he could look any further, he was casted out from her mind and the red energy was back. Charles felt slightly nauseous as the woman suddenly stormed out of his tent.
The psychic couldn’t understand why. Had he given her a bad show? He had done as was expected of him, perhaps she was scared? Yeah, that must’ve been it. She wasn’t able to accept that he could be the real deal and had been angry about it. He chuckled a little as he wiped a small spot on the crystal ball. Some people simply couldn’t open their mind that some individuals might be gifted with powers beyond their understanding. The man suddenly gasped as a vision overtook him. He felt freezing water around him, there also seemed to be a person next to him. He didn’t know who he was, but he knew he had to save him. The man was screaming, but not out of fear because of the situation, it was rage because someone was getting away. He wouldn’t hear reason if he spoke, he had to use telepathy. ‘Telepathy?’
“You'll drown. You have to let go. I know what this means to you, but you're going to die. Please, Erik, calm your mind.”
Wait, did he say Erik? But it couldn’t be the same Erik, they’d just met. The vision continued. The man was trying to struggle out of his hold, screaming at him to get away and let him get his revenge.
“Calm down. Just breathe. We're here!” He heard himself plead. The vision faded away, leaving Charles more confused than he’d ever been in his life. What was this memory? Was it even a memory? A voice in his head kept repeating that it was nothing, just extreme daydreaming. But that didn’t make any sense, it felt so real. The psychic exited the tent, he had to find Erik, and Nightcr- Kurt and Raven. Why would he need to find a raven? He rolled around aimlessly trying to make sense of the situation. All the horrible things he had witnessed, they couldn’t be true, it was simply too horrible.
After awhile of pointless wandering, he noticed a purple mist falling upon the circus, filling every crack, and finding its way to the people. He watched the tendrils approach him with suspicion as it coiled around him.
Charles awoke, suddenly and without warning. But Wanda hadn’t done this, it felt different. Still, he had to find the others, Peter could be in danger. Everyone was waking up; he could feel all their pain and confusion as the mind control was lifted. Some tried to run towards the barrier, but he turned the other way. That’s where he had last seen his friends. He spotted Raven first, she had probably been mid performance, judging by her colorful outfit. She walked towards him as he called to her. He wouldn’t use telepathy for now, Wanda’s powers were probably too similar and would cause a slight panic. Kurt suddenly manifested in front of them. His clothes hadn’t changed much from his usual outfit. They now had to find Erik. They looked through the crowd of people, but there was no sign of the metal bender. Finally, his eyes locked onto the familiar figure. The man walked forward and stopped next to the group.
“Well,” he said, “that was, without doubts, one of the worst experiences of my life.”
Raven and Kurt agreed, both of them saying how they were stuck reliving painful memories while not being able to control their bodies. Charles watched them with a pensive hand to his face. How could he even tell them what he had experienced? He let them talk a little, they had to get this off their chest. As far as he knew, Kurt had never been through any types of mind control. It had to be hard for him. He watched them with steadily increasing anxiety, Wanda’s words running through his head.
“We have a problem,” he finally said. He let the others get closer as he took a breath. “I spoke to Wanda; she came to see me. She’s fully aware of what she’s doing and very keen on keeping her perfect life.” He turned to Erik with sorrowful eyes. “She... she’s aware that Peter isn’t her brother, but it doesn’t matter to her. She’s determined to keep him at her side.”
He could sense Erik’s rage building up. The man clenched his jaw as he balled his hands in a fist. “Then, let’s make sure she doesn’t get a chance to keep him.”

Magnetic Push - Erik Lehnsherr x Male!OC - Part 1
Tumblr media
Fandom: X-Men: Days Of Future Past (2014)
Pairing: Karmel Rosenstein (OC) x Erik Lehnsherr
Warnings: Swearing, Spoilers for Days Of Future Past, Magnetic Pull spoilers,
Notes: Hi! Welcome to the sequel of Magnetic Pull, titled ‘Magnetic Push’, it is advised you DO NOT READ this if you have NOT finished Magnetic Pull. But that is an obvious given. Grimm, as you all may remember, is an OC of mine. Enjoy!
Logan and Hank sat in front of Charles' desk in his office.
Charles bent over sluggishly, looking at Logan under a big desk lamp. "So, you're saying...that they took Raven's power, and, what? They weaponized it?"
"Yep." Logan nodded.
"She is unique" Hank commented.
"Yea, she is, Hank" Charles agreed, standing up properly.
"In the beginning, Sentinels were just targeting mutants. Then they began to identify the genetics in non-mutants, who would eventually have mutant children, and grandchildren" Logan explained, watching Charles walk over to sit on a big couch at the side of the room. "Many of the humans tried to help us, but it was a slaughter. Leaving only the worst of humanity in charge. I've been in a lot of wars...I've never seen anything like this. And it all starts with her."
"Now, let's just say that, for the sake of...the sake, that I- I choose to believe you, that I choose to help you, Raven won't listen to me" Charles sighed, smiling sadly. "Her soul belongs to someone else, now. Hers isn't the only one."
"I know" Logan admitted, standing up. "That's why we're gonna need Magneto, too. And Climber."
Hank looked up, as if he hadn't heard those names in ages. "Erik? A-And Karmel? You do know where they are?"
"Yea."
Charles grinned in disbelief, laughing to himself. "Could you give me that one more time, please?" He rhetorically asked.
"You heard me" Logan replied, promptly standing his ground.
Charles continued to laugh as he stood up. "He's where he belongs. Him and Karmel both" he told, facial expression rapidly changing to one of disdain as he passed by Logan.
"Well, that's it? You're just gonna walk out?"
"Ooh, top marks" Charles raised his eyebrows, sassing Logan. "Like I said, you are perceptive" he pointed at Logan, walking backwards towards the staircase.
"The Professor I know would never turn his back on someone who lost their path" Hank noted, watching Charles walk away. "Especially someone he loved."
Charles stopped at the foot of the stairs. He took a step back, then one more before speaking again. "You know...I think I do remember you now" Charles said, walking back over to Logan. "Yea. Tall, angry fellow with the contentious hair. We came to you a long time ago, Erik, Karmel, and I, seeking your help. And I'm gonna say to you, what you said to us then..." he leaned in, getting right up in Logan's face. "'Go fuck yourself'."
"Listen to me, you little shit" Logan growled, grabbing Charles' shirt. "I've come a long way, and I've watched a lot of people die. Good people. Friends. If you're gonna wallow in self-pity and do nothing, then you're gonna watch the same thing, you understand?"
Charles searched Logan's eyes, confused at the audacity this man had.
Logan let go of Charles.
"We all have to die sometime" Charles walked away, for real this time.
"I told you there was no professor here" Hank reminded.
"What the hell happened to him?" Logan asked, turning around.
"He lost everything. Erik, Karmel, Raven, his legs" Hank sighed. "We built the school, the labs, this whole place, then, just after the first semester, the war in Vietnam got worse. Many of the teachers and older students were drafted. It broke him. He retreated into himself, I...I wanted to help, do something, so I designed a serum to treat his spine, derived from the same formula that helps me control my mutation" he shook his head. "I take just enough to keep myself balanced, but...he takes too much. I tried easing him back, as did Grimm, but he just couldn't bear the pain. The voices. Grimm tried countless times to- to help Charles, to slow him down to the dosage I take, but like I said, Charles, he...couldn't be helped."
"Grimm, uh...blue-haired guy, talks to and controls the dead?" Logan arched a brow.
"Yea. Grimm didn't want to waste away trying to help someone who couldn't be helped, so, he broke it off with Charles, and thus, Charles lost him. The treatment gives Charles his legs, but it's not enough. He's...He's just lost too much" Hank concluded.
Charles lay on his bed, eyes shining on the brink of tears. He looked over at his bedside table, specifically at a framed photo of Raven. Charles' chest went up and down with his restrained breathing, thinking back to the first time Raven and him met, as kids. His vision glided over the photo of Raven, to a tie. Not any tie of his own, or Hank's, but...an old friend's tie.
Karmel's tie. He had forgotten it at the X-Mansion back when he resided in it, and Charles kept it with the underlying hope of seeing Karmel again and returning it to him.
Charles knew how much Karmel's ties meant to him, and why they meant to much to him; all of Karmel's ties belonged to his father. He groaned softy, thinking back to when he first met Karmel.
"Uh, Karmel" Karmel repeated, outstretching his hand, "Karmel Rosenstein."
"Charles Xavier. Friend of Moira's?"
Karmel shrugged.
"Acquaintances, actually? Mutual friend" Charles corrected.
Karmel furrowed his eyebrows. "Yea...How did you- never mind- you?"
"Very recently acquainted. She brought me here to meet you."
Karmel's eyes went wide. "Uh- w-why? Why'd you need to meet me? What's happening? Moira, I- I don't like boys, but it's fine if you do Charles, but I-"
Moira raised a hand, putting back the book she was holding and cutting Karmel short. "I didn't bring Charles here to set him up with you, I know you like girls. I brought him here because I feel that you both have something in common."
"An obvious interest in girls?" Karmel insisted, hands on his hips.
Charles held back a chuckle. He knew Karmel had been locked up in Erik's heart for the past ten years or so- and vice versa. Charles thought that surely, today, Karmel was more embracing of his sexuality than he had been back then, when he used to live in fear of it.
"Karmel, Karmel-" Charles called, putting a hand on Karmel's shoulder. "It's okay."
Karmel slowly dropped his hands, raising an eyebrow. His vine art of Erik grew purple flowers, which bloomed quickly. Karmel's breath hitched at that.
"It's okay now, remember? I know, you know, we both know here. And I'm a hundred percent okay with what I know. As of our quick trip to Russia, so are you. It's okay, you're safe here. You can be who you truly are."
Karmel took slow, deep breaths, nodding. "Yea, I- I just...I guess I'm gonna forget sometimes, that it's okay. But it's hard to forget that on a scale of one to ten, he's a certified twenty. I'm...I love Erik, man."
"Which is okay" Charles cracked a comforting smile. "I'll be around to remind you. It's a slow process."
Charles could still vividly remember the way Karmel's vines looped around the wall of the mansion to form Erik's face, the pure detail of it all- Karmel had Erik's entire being memorized. He moaned in annoyance, getting out of bed and passing right by the tie and framed photo.
Back downstairs, Hank was organizing the study while Logan tried thinking of what to do next.
"I'll help you get her" Charles stood right outside the study. "Not for any of your future shite, but for her."
"Fair enough" Logan quickly replied.
"But I'll tell you this, you don't know Erik, and you definitely don’t know Karmel. No one knows them like they know each other. Karmel follows in Erik’s footsteps, his pain and anger pushing him to go faster and faster. Erik, that man is a monster, a murderer. You think you can convince Raven to change? To come home? That's splendid. But what makes you think you can change him?" Charles scowled.
"Because you and Erik sent me back here, together."
Charles stared deep into Logan's eyes, determined. "And- And what about Karmel, huh?"
"Listen, Professor. What Karmel does or doesn't do in the future isn't important. What's important is that we can change Erik, and that means him, too. Y'just gotta believe me."
***
"The room they're holding Erik and Karmel in was built during the Second World War, when there was a shortage of steel. So the foundation is pure concrete and sand. No metal. The walls are too thick for Karmel to grow vines out of, and the glass ceiling, he isn't strong enough to break his vines through" Hank described.
"They're being held a hundred floors beneath the most heavily-guarded building on the planet" Charles added, the three men looking over an aerial map of the Pentagon.
"Why are they in there?" Logan inquired.
Charles looked up at Hank, then over at Logan. "What, Erik forgot to mention?" He snickered.
"Uh, JFK" Hank timidly answered.
"...They killed-" Charles cut Logan off.
"What else explains a bullet miraculously curving through the air? At the perfect level from around some trees? Erik's always had a way with guns, and Karmel's always had a way, for the way Erik has a way with guns" Charles chuckled.
"Or just, Karmel's always had a way with Erik" Hank shortened what Charles said, down to its bare minimum.
"Are you sure you want to carry on with this?"
"This is your plan, not mine" Logan reminded.
"We don't have any resources to get us in" Hank complained, Charles chiming in by chirping "or out. It's just me and Hank."
"I knew a guy. Yea, he'd be a young man now. Grew up outside of DC" Logan giggled, shaking his head. "He could get into anywhere, I just don't know how the hell we're gonna find him."
Hank tore his gaze from Logan, to Charles. "Is Cerebro out of the question?" He whispered, Charles silently hanging his head as an answer.
"If only you guys had internet."
Charles looked up at Logan, eyebrows raised in interest.
"What's 'internet'?" Hank furrowed his eyebrows.
Logan sighed, shifting where he stood and turning back down to the map.
"We have a phone book" Hank then suggested.

Chapter 6
Pairing- Loki x Reader x Steve (one side)

Tumblr media
Loki walks back and forth inside his glass cell. Suddenly, he  stops. “There's not many people that can sneak up on me.” Loki turns to see Natasha standing there.
“But you figured I'd come.” Natasha remarked.
“After. After whatever tortures Fury can concoct, you would appear as a friend, as a balm. And I would cooperate.” Loki reported.
“I wanna know what you've done to Agent Barton and Agent Munroe?” Natasha asked.”
“I'd say I've expanded his mind. And as  for Agent Munroe I’ve done nothing to her but ruffled her Feathers.” Loki said with a satisfying smirk.
“And once you’ve won. Once you’re king of the mountain. What happens to his mind?”Natasha questioned.
“Is this love, Agent Romanoff?” Loki wondered.
“Love is for children. I owe him a debt.” Natasha stated.
Loki sits down on “Tell me.”
Natasha  pulls up a chair as well. “Before I worked for Shield, I uh...well, I made a name for myself. I have a very specific skillset. I didn't care who I used it for, or on. I got on Shield's radar in a bad way. Agent Barton was sent to kill me, he made a different call.”
“And what will you do if I vow to spare  him?” Loki asked.
“Not let you out.” Natasha declared.
“Ah, no. But I like this. Your world in the balance, and you bargain for one man?” Loki laughed.
“Regimes fall every day. I tend not to weep over that, I'm Russian... or was.” Natasha answered.
“What is it you want?” Loki questioned.
“It's really not that complicated. I've got red in my ledger, I'd like to wipe it out.” Disclose.
“Can you? Can you wipe out that much red? Drakov's daughter? São Paulo? The
Hospital fire? Barton told me everything. Your ledger is dripping, it's gushing red, and you think saving  a man no more virtuous than yourself will change anything?” Loki said standing up angry. “ This is the basest sentimentality. This is a child at prayer... Pathetic!”
Tony and Banner continuously work at their monitors.
“You lie and kill in the service of liars and killers.”
Agent Hill checks every viewsscreen  in the bridge as Nick Fury oversees.
“You pretend to be separate, to have your own code, something that makes up for the horrors.”
Y/n is looking at the note with Gambit’s number with uncertainty.
“But they are a part of you, and they will never go away!”
Steve opens a steel crate. Angry, he looks behind him and looks back into the crate. The crate is filled with an Array of Hydra weapons.
Loki slams his fist his cell, making Natasha flinch.  “I won't touch Barton. Not until I make  him kill you! Slowly. Intimately. In every way he knows you fear! And when he'll wake just long enough to see his good work, and when he screams, I'll split his skull! This is my bargain, you mewling quim!”
Natasha  turns around, walks away from Loki, disgusted. “You're a monster.”
“No, you brought the monster.” Loki laughed.
Natasha turns back around, poised. “So, Banner... that's your play.”
“What?” Loki staggered.
Natasha speaks into her earpiece. “Loki means to unleash the Hulk. Keep Banner in the lab, I'm on my way. Send Thor as well.”  Natasha then turns to Loki. “Thank you for your cooperation.” Natasha quickly walks out, leaving Loki frozen.

Y/n takes a deep breath and walks into Bruce’s lad and see Tony and Bruce eating snacks.
“Where your ears burning because I was just thinking about you....... you said you needed a file or two Jarvis is done with breaking in to Shield.” Tony asked.
“Thanks The name is Ororo Munroe.” Y/n answered.
Before Y/n can walk around the corner and look at the file. Nick walks in surprised to see Tony and Banner stop working on the scepter.
“What are you doing, Mr. Stark?” Nick asked in an upset tone.
“Uh...kind of been wondering the same thing about you.” Tony remarked.
“You're supposed to be locating the Tesseract.” Nick replied.
“We are. The model's locked and we're  sweeping for the signature now. When we get a hit, we'll have the location within half a mile.” Bruce chimed in.
“And you'll get your cube back, no muss, no fuss.” Tony joked.
Then suddenly his monitor show a collection of Secret files. “What is Phase 2?”
Suddenly, Steve drops a Hydra Assault Rifle on the table causing Fury, Banner and Tony to turn around. Cap looks pissed.
“Phase  2 is Shield uses the cube to make weapons...Sorry, the computer was moving a little slow.” Steve declared
“Rogers, we gathered everything related to the Tesseract. This does not mean
that we're...” Nick tried to explained.
“I'm sorry, Nick.” Tony moves the computer screen towards Fury which shows plans of weapon. “What were you lying?”
“What the world do you need Tesseract weapons for?” Y/n moves to stand in front of Director Fury. “Is that why you took Erik because you wanted him to work on the Tesseract to turn into a weapon.
“I was wrong, director. The world hasn’t changed a bit.” Steve claimed.
At that moment, Thor and Natasha walk into the lab. Natasha keeps her eyes right on Bruce. Bruce looks at her, Upset. “Did you know about this?”
“You wanna think about removing yourself from this environment, doctor?” Natasha asked.
“I was in Calcutta, I was pretty well  removed.” Bruce pointed out.
“Loki's manipulating you.” Natasha admitted.
“And you've been doing what exactly?” Bruce questioned.
“You didn't come here because I bat my eyelashes at you.”  Natasha replied.
“Yes, and I'm not leaving because suddenly you get a little twitchy. I'd like to know why Shield is using the Tesseract to build weapons of mass destruction.” Bruce demanded.
“Because of him.” Nick points at Thor.
“Me?” Thor doubted.
“What does this have to do with Thor?” Y/n questioned.
“Last year earth had a visitor from another planet who had a grudge match that leveled a small town. We learned  that not only are we not alone, but we are hopelessly, hilariously, outgunned.” Nick explained.
“I was there to stop it  with the help from Thor.” Y/n disclosed.
“My people want nothing but peace with your planet.” Thor answered.
“But you're not the only people out  there, are you? And, you're not the
only threat. The world's filling up with people who can't be matched, they can't be controlled.” Nick expressed.
“Like you controlled the cube?” Steve snapped.
“You're work with the Tesseract is what drew Loki to it, and his allies. It is       the signal to all the realms that the earth is ready for a higher form of war.” Thor explained.
“A higher form?” Steve questioned.
“You forced our hand. We had to come up with something.” Nick repeated.
“Nuclear deterrent. `Cause that always calms everything right down.” Tony mocked.
Y/n looks up and see her mother’s  file has popped up on the monitor she then moves behind the decks to see look at.
“Remind me again how you made your fortune, Stark?” Nick questioned.
“How is this now about me?” Tony wondered.
“I'm sorry, isn't everything?” Steve Remarked
“I thought humans were more evolved than this.” Thor disclosed.
“Excuse me, did WE come to YOUR planet and blow stuff up.” Nick snapped back.
As the "team" argues, they don't realize the blue gem on Loki's scepter is glowing brightly.

Outside the Helicarrier, a lone carrier slowly hovers over the ship.
“661 Bravo, please relay your pass code. What is your hull, over?”
Arms to ammunition, over. Inside, Barton and his crew suit up and arm themselves. Barton pulls out his hi-tech bow and arrows.

As everyone is arguing Thor noticed some of the objects in the room begin to flow so he looks over at Y/n. Her jaw was clenched, eyebrows pulled down together and her lips pressed firmly together she was Mad scratch that she was furious.
“Y/n? Are you alright?” Thor sudden question catches everyone off guard and they stop arguing and turn to look at Y/n. They see her glowing red and her hair standing up in a triangle way.
“Y/n.” Nick called out.
When Y/n  looks up and her eyes aren’t their usual brown there white but instead of blue Lightning it’s red. “They were after her they did this to me because they couldn’t get her...she abandon me because she didn’t want to get experimented on.” Y/n snarled.
“I know. l know....I want to protect you from that.” Nick said in a calming voice.
“Protect me.” Y/n retorted.
The beautiful sunshine was replaced by dark skies like an eclipse is happening.

On the bridge Hill is sitting at her work station with Coulson overviewing her one bye one a pencil, pen , paper, and  monitors begin to flow. Hill looks up at  Coulson and he look at her and they’re both thinking the same thing. Y/n.

Everything inside the Bruce’s lab begin to levitate and the team looks amaze and frighten at the same time.
“Y/n remember The control you fight to have.” Thor takes a step forward  towards Y/n  but before he can get any closer Nick holds his arm out in front of him nodding his head “no.”
“I didn’t tell you because I knew how much it would hurt you. You loved your mother so much.” Nick explained.
“Then why was I told she was dead.” Y/n barked.
Nick slowly walking up to Y/n. “I didn’t tell you remember you told me.”
Y/n looks at Nick with her head tilted. “Charles Xavier” Y/n said wrathfully.
Rage flowed through Y/n like lava. No literally the room started to get extremely hot that some of the objects start to melt.  Nick reaches for his gun
“What gonna shot your own daughter.....do you know what’s it’s like to not be able to feel strong emotions because if you did you could destroy innocent people or the people you love. I was tortured for two years. They put a collar around my neck and shock me if I couldn’t control my powers because of her.”

Everyone is thrown in every direction. Y/n, Steve, Fury, Thor and Tony are thrown across while Natasha and Banner is down in the lower equipment room. Steve looks up at Tony.
“Put on the suit!” Steve announced.
“Yep!”
Steve helps Tony up and out of the lab. Fury sits up, clutching his ribs. He puts on his earpiece.

The Boiling Point
(drabble)
Trigger warning: mentions of abuse below
If one were looking for Charles Xavier they would find him in his room, combing over the things in his dresser. Tempers were high at the Xavier school tonight and patience especially thin. Charles himself gave in more than once before he’d finally excused himself.
A headache was building behind his eyes and he stopped what he was doing to massage his temples. Every night seemed to dusk the bubbling tension between himself and his family up a few more notches. It was all rather unnecessary, laughable even if he’d been anyone other than himself. Alas, Charles Xavier he was and with him came a staggering mountain of baggage. One open-faced encounter sent most running for the bloody hills—or at least a safe distance away. His family however had come right back and with them brought a series of solutions that essentially hog-tied him for the better part of a decade. He couldn’t be fixed, they decided and so stepped around the broken pieces, ensuring they wouldn’t cut anyone else.
Only one man saw him in a different light and it was that man Charles thought of now, particularly a conversation with him not too long ago. He’d come to Erik that day with a bruised arm and a broken heart, seeking comfort after having forcefully been injected with the very treatment he’d been trying to ween himself off (he didn’t need to suppress his powers Professor X wasn’t the monster everyone believes him to be...)
That day Erik suggested they walk away, start a life together apart from this place and the people in it. He hadn’t been able to make a decision at the time but with every day passed and each new conflict Charles found himself leaning further and further towards a breaking point.
A soft knock at the door pulled him from his thoughts: Charles stilled but he didn’t look up. There was only one person he wanted to see in the doorway and that man harbored such affection for him even Charles’ stunted powers felt him coming. Only radio silence reverberated from the door now. Silence and the ever-present tension.
“Dad?” Came the careful voice of Charles’ adult son. Charles swallowed a sigh; his eyes opened but otherwise didn’t move.
“What do you what?” He murmured.
“I want to talk to you,” James answered. “You got a sec?”
He sounded tired, Charles notes. Tired and worried. Charles heard the door close, followed by encroaching footsteps. Surprise surprise, James expected a free schedule. Invisible fingers squeezed Charles’ heart; finally he turned around.
“Actually I’m b-busy right now,” Charles said and he cringed internally over how easily the stammer came out. It wasn’t so quick to escape around Erik.
“Oh yeah?” James questioned but that was all he said. For fleeting futile second Charles thought he might get away with continued solitude...until he felt the delicate brush of his son’s mind against his own. Charles stiffened.
“S-stop that,” he said, finally turning around. James Xavier stood in the doorway, arms folded across his chest, brow pinched over observing yellow eyes. He held up his hands when Charles snapped at him, withdrawing from his mind.
“Sorry,” Charles said, sighed really. Guilt prickled his heart: there was a time he’d have reacted very similarly to that sort of response to his powers. However, Charles could no longer use his powers easily and being probed by a functioning telepath felt...somewhat unfair. Unfair and invasive, he thought, watching the younger man carefully.
The urge to look away crept up on him--look away as he often did when uncomfortable—but he managed to ignore it. He kept his thoughts sparse however as James possessed a decent telepathic range: even without probing he might be able to detect Charles’ state of mind. That would do no one any good.
If James Xavier was at all tuned into his father he didn’t say. He shrugged, a more casual gesture but his eyes never left Charles’ face.
“It’s all good,” James told him. He stepped away from the door, fully entering the room. Charles couldn’t help himself: he stiffened again. No sooner did he than the younger man hesitated. Of course.
“Dad?” James asked. “Are we good or not?”
Charles hesitated. He saw the wariness slip back into his son’s face, watched his body language shift into an even less threatening position. Damn it all, they still saw him as the fragile sapling, the cracked and mushy eggshell, the trembling leaf on rocky winds and every other exaggerated metaphor in the book. It broke his heart a little bit. It also made him mad.
Had they not noticed any change for the better? Did a head held higher, a smile more frequent and almost entirely uninterrupted sentences mean nothing at all? No, Charles thought and this time he didn’t care about any and all possible eavesdropping. His family didn’t want him to change. To them he was damaged, helpless and unstable and above all incapable of thinking for himself.
Evidently James noticed the prolonged silence because he called out again, this time gentler and definitely a touch worried. Again Charles fought the temptation to duck his head and again he succeeded. Instead he chewed his lip before his features worked their way into a frown.
“What d-do you want, James?”
James closed the door. He ran a hand through his sandy brown hair.
“I’m worried about you,” he said. “And I know, I know I’m always worried about you but this is different I swear.”
Charles stopped chewing his lip, the soft and sore flesh still between his teeth. His stomach churned as he waited for an explaination.
“I know you’re thinking about leaving—and before you say anything, I didn’t have to read your mind. You uh, you project sometimes when you concentrate.”
Just like that, Charles’ anger took a back seat. He paled and his trembling heart sank into his stomach. Don’t, he told himself but it was hard, it was hard not to jump the first erratic thought-train pulling out of the station. He projected? How far? Shite, did everyone in this house already know he wanted to—
“Whoa whoa, hey—“ James winced, pinching one side of his head. “That’s, yeah that’s what I’m talkin’ about. It’s only loud enough for me to hear.”
Charles sincerely hoped James meant that because of his mutation, not because he monitored Charles like a hawk. James was a traveler by nature; before Erik’s return the boy spent half his time exploring the stars. Perhaps the one and only thing Charles missed about those days. That and his own naïveté.
“Alright,” said Charles finally. “So you know I-I want to leave...are you going to stop me?”
His fingers flexed and unfurled at his side, resisting the temptation to tug the hem of his shirt. Nervous habits did no good here. If he wanted even a small place to stand he needed to be stronger, or at least present himself that way. Think of Erik. Be like Erik. Erik wouldn’t be afraid of his own son...
James didn’t answer right away, not with words. A series of expressions washed over his face, everything from muddled to conflicted.
“Are you going to make me?” He asked quietly.
Charles’ stomach churned. It didn’t seem like he had a choice. That’s not all it sounds like...
“Don’t,” he said sharply. “D-don’t phrase it like that, don’t pin this on me, I won’t...”
Charles shook his head. Why, he thought. Why must it be this way?
“Dad?”
“What?” James’ yellow eyes widened and the lines in his face, however few there were, tightened. Damn it. Charles drew in a slow breath, then let it out again.
“I’m—” he tried again but cut himself off. Don’t apologize, Erik told him. He wasn’t to blame anymore.
“When you...s-say things like that it seems like you think this is all m-my fault,” Charles explained. His fingers twitched again, looking for an anchor against the building storm. He curled his hands into fists.
James said nothing. Charles took it as a sign to continue. (He hoped it was, otherwise his son was multitasking telepathically...)
“I-I’ve lived most of my life that way,” Charles said. “That...that’s a f-form of abuse, James...”
Erik might hold little love for the extended Xavier family but Charles was an Xavier too...didn’t he owe them a chance to understand? Understand, really? Isn’t it a little late for that?
The lines in his son’s face twisted and in place of wariness now he looked hurt. Genuinely hurt, as though he’d been dealt a critical blow to his character. Charles supposed he essentially had.
“Are you seriously accusing me of abuse? Me? I’m the one who pulled you out of there,” James said darkly and Charles realized it wasn’t hurt he was hearing but betrayal.
“Nobody here gets what you’ve been through better than me,” James went on. “I read your mind, remember? I’ve seen everything that’s happened to you.”
Yellow eyes met Charles’ blue ones. As if Charles somehow needed reminding of their first encounter. Fuck, why must everything be a fight? (Why indeed: wasn’t this what Erik tried to tell him before?) Despite his best efforts Charles wasn’t able to hold back his anxiety any longer: he uncurled one hand and brought it up, biting hard on his index finger. I hate myself. I hate this.
James evidently also needed a moment: he loed away, rubbing his neck. A muscle pulsed beside his jaw—once, twice—and vanished in a heavy sigh.
“I didn’t come here to upset you,” he said, turning back to Charles. Charles chewed on his knuckle. He believed that much, that James meant no harm by what he said. The boy was many things but a willing antagonist did not fit his character. What is it they say? The road to heartache is paved with good intentions? Something like that...
This time it seemed the younger telepath waited for Charles to speak: he stuffed his hands in his pockets, glancing now and then towards the door. Or was it away that he looked, waiting for Charles to collect himself? The elder and stunted telepath flushed. He took his hand out of his mouth.
“I...I understand your concerns,” he murmured. “I do, honestly...b-but they’re stuck in the past. Erik hasn’t hurt me once s-since his return and he isn’t g-going to in the future. You’re a telepath, surely you can see that.”
He was fidgeting again, but at least he’d finally said it. If James were going to make a point of bringing up his powers he ought to be reminded of their full scope. Indeed, James’ mouth twinged and twitched like he wanted to say something but knew there might be consequences. Instead he crossed his arms. “That’s not the point...”
“Then what is the p-point?” Charles asked. He tugged at the hem of his pullover. If only he could talk to James as easily as he did with Erik...but that was part of the problem, wasn’t it.
“James?” Charles ventured when the other man didn’t answer. He still looked like he wanted to but—
“We’re your family,” James blurted. He removed one hand from his pocket, thumping his chest. “Me, mom and Em—hell you have grandkids now, dad. Why...why isn’t that enough?”
“I...” Charles started but he trailed off. His heart throbbed and squirmed as guilt and loyalty and obligation tried to grab for it. Think of Erik, he told himself again. He’d do anything for Erik. He loved Erik. He wanted to be with Erik...no matter the cost.
“I’m not happy here,” Charles confessed. “Nobody trusts me, nobody listens to me a-and Hank is cruel to me, James, he’s been c-cruel for years—”
“You never told me that—”
“I tried!” Charles cried, gesturing to James with his free hand. “You—all of you, you don’t listen, you just...it s-seems like you think I’m the p-problem. I’m not,” he said, searching his son’s face. Once again, James was slow to answer. When he did, his words were shaky on his tongue.
“I never thought of you as a problem. I was relieved when I found out you weren’t the monster everyone made you out to be.”
Charles gave him a look—a pained, disappointed look. “You don’t b-believe I can be fixed. That’s the same thing.”
They parted ways shortly after that. James mentioned something about having to share their conversation with Raven to which Charles curtly wished him well. Once alone he limped over to the bed, collapsing with his hands clasped over his mouth.
That was it then: if his son—his only bloody telepathic child—couldn’t understand him, kept twisting his words and his heart into suffocating knots—what hope was there anyone else would listen? Fuck, he hoped Raven wouldn’t confront Hank. No no please don’t tell Hank what I said—
Charles whimpered: his belly jumped and his chest convulsed. He should be proud of himself, he knew that and he knew Erik would tell him the same. He’d finally stood up for himself, something he hadn’t done in...shite, he couldn’t remember. Sadly (sickeningly) it didn’t seem to matter right now: if James talked to Raven and Raven told Hank then word would spread and they’d all gang up on him and it hurt so fucking much how badly that frightened him. They were supposed to be different. He thought they were. You stupid old fool. You never learn.
Charles dropped his arms: he doubled over, catching his head in his hands.
“I want to leave,” he croaked. He’d never said it aloud before. “I want to leave, I want t-to leave this place...”

If Charles knew Logan well, and he very much did, then the reason Logan hasn't answered any of his summoning Ravens is because he's been mucking around in some dingy cavern on either a treasure hunt or a Witcher Contract. Indeed, a quick location spell and a portal later, and Charles finds himself sinking his boots into a pile of hairy, but thankfully dead, arachnomorph legs. His nerves almost jumps out of his skin, but he doesn’t let himself cringe until he’s carefully climbed his way down the pile.
Times like these he’s grateful for his leather gloves and his study of magic. An enchantment sharpens his eyes to the darkness, and he finds Logan crouching by the mutilated body of an arachnomorph, holding a knife as he palms through its spilled innards.
"Watch your left."
Charles ducks fast enough to miss a small section of an arachnomorph leg sailing through the air. A thin silver, line of its blood splashes on his arm. He stifles a shudder, and with a burst of magic, waves his clothes clean again.
Lord, the sodden smell of algae is nothing compared to dead, squished spiders.
Logan doesn’t pay him any mind. He’s probably already smelt Charles coming the moment he stepped out of the portal. Even though he’s tied his hair, strands have plastered itself to his forehead, drenched he is from the cave waters and… other things
Which simply won’t do. A burst of magic thickens the air, and Logan grunts when he finds himself clean again.
“You could’ve washed away some precious extract, you know,” Logan grumbles.
Charles stifles a chuckle. “If they were as precious as you claim it to be, then it wouldn’t be splattered all over your clothes.” He walks to get a better look at dead the spider. "Charming," Charles says, scrunching his nose. "A contract, is it?"
“Ealdorman’s son went missing. Tracked his body down outside the cavern.”
“That poor boy,” Charles mutters. “So they sent you out here.”
“Nah, just thought I’d clean place up and maybe stock up on supplies while I’m at it.” Logan bags a couple of sticky, bright blue mutagens, before getting to work on it’s heart. "Can't let good ingredients rot to waste."
"Joy."
"Scuttly little bastards they are," Logan says. "Could've used your help when they were ganging up on me."
Charles raises one eyebrow. "If you had answered my calls, then I would have been happy to help. But, of course, you had to make it hard and camp inside a cavern."
Logan huffs in amusement .“All my fault, huh.”
“Always,” Charles says, his lip twitching. “Although, consider yourself forgiven if you save some of that saliva for me.”
Logan thinks on it, then he dips his finger into a pool of saliva. He scoops out a thick glob and offers it to Charles.
“In a vial, Logan.”
Logan barks out a laugh. "I forgot how sticky and pungent their webbing is. Wouldn’t be surprised if wads of the shit has slithered under my chainmail."
Charles shudders, batting at Logan’s hands, and Logan laughs even louder. As he always does when he purposely grosses Charles out.
"As... engrossing as it is," Charles says. “Aren't you going to ask why I've called on you?"
"Can't it be for my pleasant company?"
“Ah, yes. Because you are quite the conversationalist, my friend,” Charles says. “Well?”
Logan folds his own arms and stares at Charles. When it doesn't look like Charles is going to offer his reason—because really, he can be just as stubborn as a mule if he puts his mind to it—Logan sighs.
"Alright, I'll bite.” Logan tosses a pair of arachnomorph fangs in his palms. “What brings you here, Charles?"
Charles rolls his eyes. "I've detected residues of magic in Skellige. Ones that came from a big spike of power. There's a high chance that it could be Laura and her friends… but my report is quite dated. They could be long gone by now, so there’s no rush. I’d like to investigate the site, nonetheless.”
Logan's eyebrows dipped on his head. "I'm surprised you haven't checked it out yourself?"
Charles hears the unspoken, ‘With Erik,’ in his comment, and gives Logan the grace of ignoring such thing. “I was heading in that direction and I was wondering if you'd want to come with me."
“Why?”
“I thought it’d be nice to bring her father along if we do come across her.”
Logan doesn't say anything for a minute. He just scrutinises Charles with his unnerving stare. His cat eyes are infamous—known to discompose even Mages and Sorceresses—but Charles is used to them; he used to the myriad of expressions which crosses those cat eyes—both Logan and Erik’s.
"You could've just gone," Logan mutters. "You know how I hate portals."
Charles waves his hand. "Nonsense. I'm due for some quality time with my horse, anyway."
“You could have gone with Erik.”
Charles forces himself not to stiffen. “I didn’t think to ask. We’ve gone our separate ways.”
"Hmm," Logan says. "Trouble in paradise?"
"Darling,” Charles sighs, “when normal people skirt over a subject, it usually indicates and unwillingness to talk about it."
"But we're not normal, yeah?" Logan says. "You look upset."
Charles purses his lips. "You are as tact as ever, my friend."
“I’m one hell of a wordsmith in my own right,” Logan says. “But I don’t give that much of a fuck for Lehnsherr. He lands on his feet more fucking times than I can count. It’s you I’m worried about. Not to mention, the last time you and Erik tried to do anything with a Djinn, half of Rinde almost felt its wrath.”
Charles looks away. On instinct, he rubs his face (‘It’s better than crying.’) and exhaustion settles in, as it usually does whenever he thinks about the situation with Erik.
Logan’s face softens. There’s only silence between them as Logan rummages through his satchel.
“Here.”
Charles looks down. In Logan’s hand is a vial of monster saliva. He touches the vial almost gingerly.
He must think Charles to be so pathetic. Things didn't work out with Erik, so he runs to Logan crying about it. Isn’t that what he’s doing anyway? But then, Logan is much kinder than to call him out on it. Much kinder than what Charles deserves, probably.
"Things with the Djinn didn't stick?" Logan asks gently.
"No." Charles sighs. "It did. That's the problem."
Erik wasn't supposed to be his, Charles knows. Erik was his by a lethal combination of pure stubbornness and a disastrous accident. He was Magda's first, and Charles fooled with a Djinn when he wasn't ready and they ended up bonded. The next few decades were spent bouncing between passion, love, and resentment—the kind that’s thick enough to choke on.
Charles was ready for the latter. He took away Erik's choice in his love for Charles It was his fault for releasing the Djinn and putting them in a position where Erik’s life was compromised. When he used his last wish to save their lives, he invoked the Djinn’s mischief, and the Djinn tied their destinies together.
They spent all those years fighting, and Charles spent all those years hating himself for ruining one of the only good thing he's found in decades… Charles wondered why he spent so long waiting to find another Djinn to break their bond. Maybe he could have spared himself the current heartbreak.
Because to find out that their feelings were their own. To find out the Djinn had nothing to do with their hearts—and certainly nothing to do with their proximity from all the times either of them have stormed halfway across the world in their anger...
That… Charles was not ready for.
All the pain, the resentment, the hurt.
All for nothing.
They ended things there, so they could start fresh. It was more so Charles's decisions than Erik's, but Erik has other business to sort out himself. Magda is a fellow sorceress. It could be as if no time had passed at al.
It was—is—better this way.
"I'll tell you about it one day," Charles says, tucking his vial into his rucksack. "Are you done here?"
Logan stares him again. This time, Charles blinks back at him, tilting his head in question. Logan brushes some blood off his shoulder plates as he stands up. He offers a hand and pulls Charles up with him.
Charles chants a quick cleaning spell on Logan’s gloves. He’ll thank Charles for this, he’s sure of it.
"Still got one or two nests to go," Logan says. "Want to come with?"
“Why is it whenever I visit you, we always end up in some dark, smelly cave?”
“Should’ve kept better company then.”
That pulls a laugh out of Charles. “At least it was treasure last time,” Charles says. "But why not? Two heads are better than one, I suppose."
Charles gathers a ball of light in his hands. He holds it out, and the ball floats near his head, illuminating a soft blue on their surroundings.
“Speaking of...” Logan says. "Aren’t you going to..."
Charles tips his head in question.
Logan taps the side of his forehead.
Surprised, the ball of light beside his head blinks out momentarily. He could count the handful of times Erik has invited him into his head. Logan has long surpassed both fingers of his hands. It’s how Charles got the inkling that too had a past with a fellow mind reader. He’s simply too comfortable having someone in his head.
He forgot how nice it could be when someone else takes the initiative.
Logan’s head feels like it always does. A glass of whisky warming his systems in a lowly lit pub. He’s thinking about Laura, mostly. Worrying about her. Wondering what forms of trouble has she and her friends been up to.
“Comfortable?” Logan asks.
If you don't mind, Charles says. Remember that it goes both ways. I’ve fine tuned the spell as such. And if you need space...
“I'll tell you, bub,” Logan says. “Just don't go looking into places you're not supposed to be. Unless you want to see a bunch of alghouls fucking around the place.”
As far as he knows, alghouls do not mate or reproduce with each other, but he doesn’t doubt the imaginative powers of Logan’s mind.
Charles shudders. You have an odd and macabre sense of humour, my friend. Shall we get going?

A Tale of Two Soldiers Part 6
Title: A Tale of Two Soldiers Part 6
Characters: Erik x reader, Bucky x reader
Summary: Erik and Bucky come to save you.
Word Count: 5703
Warnings: Sexual assault and sex trafficking (Plesse don’t read if they’re triggers for you even though it does not go into depth.) Violence and a little torture
A/N: no keep reading link since I’m on mobile.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You awoke with a pounding headache, it was worst than the time you were matching drink for drink with Steve. Whatever room you were in the air was freezing and it didn’t help that Marcus or whoever he was working with left you in your lingerie set.
As you were coming to, you heard a murmur of voices. You got up to investigate where the voices were coming from. With each closer step you heard a bunch of:
‘She’s up’
‘She’s coming’
‘Is that Y/N’
‘Isn’t she an avenger’
When you found the voices, they belong to a group of women, scratch that not all of them were women. The youngest seemed to be about 11. All of them were in skimpy shorts and crop tops. Judging from their outfits, your new environment, and your abduction you just got caught in a fucking sex trafficking ring. Great, Bucky and Erik weren’t going to let you out your sight after this.
A young girl with big doe eyes tentatively walked to you.”Are you here to save us? You’re Y/N, the avenger, right?” Her eyes were filled with hope and you didn’t want to tell her the truth and break her heart but you also didn’t want to lie to her and give her false hope.
You didn’t know if it was luck or not but a girl who looked like life hardened her answered for you. “Does she look like she’s here to save us? She’s for sell just like us!”
To make yourself smaller you kneeled down to the other girl’s level. “She’s right. I’m here against my will. But, I got some powerful friends and they’ll find us sooner than later.”
Suddenly, you heard a loud slam of a door and the clicking of heels against the tile floor. A man in a full Armani suit was surrounded by his bodyguards appeared. He seem like the type of man to brag about his accomplishments and flaunt his wealth, especially with women. And if they didn’t do as he asked, he’ll call them anything but a child of God.
“I see that you met your new roommates,” the man stated smugly.
Already tired of the bullshit you punched ole dude in his smug face. In return you received a kick in the gut that caused you to fall to the ground.
Armani suit bent down and jerked your chin so you could look into his emotionless eyes. “They were already ordered not to hit you in the face. We don’t want to damage our money maker.”
“You’re really selling me and these girls? Oh, you don’t know what trouble you just got yourself into asshole.”
“Trouble? I don't think so. You’re gonna be worth more than all of them combined. Someone as beautiful and strong as you. You’re gonna make me a rich man.”
“Let’s say if you get the chance to sell me, you’re not gonna live long enough to spend it. My dad’s a senator, my uncles are War Machine and Ironman, my best friends are Captain America and Black Widow, and my boyfriends are the two most ruthless killers ever. I’m starting to feel bad for you bro.” You shrugged at the man and smirked.
“I knew you were a little slut.” He gripped your face harder to the point you thought he would break some of your teeth and then he gave you a bruising kiss. In return you head butted him, which he seemed to enjoy from his evil chuckle. “I wish I could keep you for myself. Do you know what’s the most satisfying thing about my job?”
“I don’t know. You get your tiny dick sucked? You must be overcompensating for something,” you sneered.
The big bad grabbed your hand and put it on his rather unimpressive hard on.”I assure you I’m not overcompensating for anything.” Great, not only were you kidnapped by an asshole but he was delusional as well.
“Anyway, my favorite thing about my job is dousing out fires. Now, your average sex trafficker wants to get easy girls. Girls who won’t put up fight. But me personally, I like it when my girls got fight in em, because I enjoy putting them out. I love when a break down a girl and make her submit. The more fight she had the better. And you, Ms. Y/L/N are one of the strongest women I ever had and to bend you to my will until I submit,” he took a deep inhale and palmed himself. “I would pay good money for that, but you’re the product and I can’t make money if I use my own product. But no worries, there are buyers out there with similar viewpoints as mines and they’ll pay a pretty penny for you. So, I’m not scared because I’ll have enough money in the world not to worry about your friends and family.”
As Armani suit gave his bad guy monologue, you found a random pipe on the floor behind you. Despite your better judgement you grabbed the pipe and whacked the smug smirk off your captors face. “I’m glad you like your girls with fight because I gotta whole lotta fight in me.”
When he faced you, you finally saw the anger in him instead of that giddiness he had earlier. “Make sure you don’t hit her in the face. Remember that’s our money maker, but everything else is fair game.” While he ordered his men to do their worst his eyes never left yours until he exited the room.
Soon as their boss left, the goons started pounding at you. Some used their fists, some used their feet, some used the butt of a gun, and some used a pipe. No matter what they were using, pain reverberated throughout your body. Although, you were in immense pain you refused to give these monsters the satisfaction of your screams in pain, so you suffered in silence. The only thing that could be heard were their grunts and vile words towards you. It wasn’t until you blacked out with thoughts of Bucky and Erik saving you were you able to escape the pain.
——
Charles automatically noticed something was wrong when you didn’t show for the family photo shoot. Even though you hated doing things like these you were always 30 minutes early, just in case someone needed help with something. So when his baby girl wasn’t there when he got there, he ordered his crazy daughter, Casey to track you down.
That was two days ago and there was still no word from you. HPD inform your parents that they couldn’t find Marcus, who you were last seen with and now he was officially a person of interest.
The whole family was gathered in the living room with the Wakandans, James Warren, Tony, Rhodey, and Detective Johnson from HPD.
“We have an update on your daughter’s case,” the detective informed the Y/L/N family as he handed a folder to your father.
His knees buckled once he saw what was inside. It was photos of you in your lingerie, posed for sell. The pictures got worse as he saw all the bruises on your body.
Your mother got a look as well and she instantly wailed. “Who would do this to my baby?”
Tired of being in the dark, Erik took the photos from your dad. When he saw them he was fuming and he knew just who to blame.
Throwing the photos at Bucky, Erik stormed towards Bucky and sucker punched him.”Its your fault! I was stupid enough to listen to you and let her go to that damn auction! Now look, Barnes she’s caught in a sex trafficking ring!”
Everyone except the Wakandans perked up at the mention of Barnes. “Bucky Barnes?” Tony and your mom questioned.
Bucky was outed now, so he took the nano mask off. “I’m just as pissed as you, Stevens and I blame myself more than you ever could.” Then Bucky turned his gaze towards Tony and your mom, “But all of you have a choice. You either can turn me in over duty or some personal vendetta or you let me be Winter Soldier and bring our girl home and kill those sons of bitches.”
Regrettably, Tony conceded to Bucky. He was far too worried about you to get back at Bucky and he knew how much those bastards needed to pay and the Winter Soldier was what they needed.
“Who took those photos,” Rhodey asked gravelly.
“We believe it’s Richard Dominguez. He just took over the Dominguez crime family and expanded into sex trafficking, which his recently deceased father was against.” Detective Johnson informed the room.
“What about this Marcus nigga?” Erik asked. He was ready to kill someone and if he couldn’t get to Dominguez then Marcus would have to do.
The detective felt uncomfortable under Erik’s murderous gaze. “Umm...we can’t find him.”
“Then what the fuck you niggas good for? Oh wait never mind y’all good for killing innocent black people.”
“Cousin!” T’Challa admonished his younger cousin.
Erik just shrugged his shoulders because he believed he told no lie. He looked at Shuri and nodded his head at her. “Lil cuz, can you find this Marcus dude if we give you his picture?”
Shuri looked at Erik as if he grew a second head. Did he know who he was talking to?”
“My bad, cuz,” Erik quickly apologized once he saw the look on Shuri’s face. “Can you find him quickly is what I meant to ask.”
“Give me the picture and I’ll tell you his last location within 30 minutes, cousin,” the Wakandan princess stated.
Detective Johnson handed a photo of Marcus to Shuri and she promptly went to work.
---
Everything hurt. You were sure that you had a couple of broken ribs. The girls took turns looking after you and in that time they told you who held the group captive. It was some dude named Richard Dominguez and he was fairly new to the game.
The door squealed open and the girls hid in their respective corners. You thought it was Dominguez coming to gloat about the offers he got for you, but it was a woman instead. She reminded you of a Kim Kardashian wannabe. Nothing on the woman was real. Her ass was disproportionate to her thighs, her lips looked as if they were stung by bees, and her tan was so dark that she was nearly the same color as you.
“So, you’re the one my husband can’t shut up about. He keeps on talking about your beauty, but from where I’m standing, darling, you ain’t that beautiful.” The woman sneered at you as she inspected you.
If her physical appearance didn’t put you off, her attitude did the job for you. Annoyed with the woman you sighed, “Don’t tell me your ok with this? And please don’t tell me you’re jealous.”
“Ok? Sweetie, I’m ecstatic with anything that allows me to afford my lifestyle. I would sell my own grandmother if it meant I could live like this. Honey, why would I ever be jealous of you?”
What a delusional one this chick was. You laughed at her and proceeded to read her. “Listen, sweetie, ummm, everything on your body is predominantly features of a black woman and under all that tanning lotion, you’re clearly not a black woman. You literally just came in here and called me ugly for having the same features you have that your plastic surgeon did a botch job on.”
You stood up face to face with Dominguez’s wife and even in your diminished shape she was frightened by you. “I bet your bitchass husband is fantsizing about me while he’s fucking you,” a look of embrassement from the woman confirmed your hunch and you contined. “I’m gonna go as far and say he called out my name on accident. Man, it must suck to be you.”
The wannabe was in tears by now and she ran out the room. Usually, you wouldn’t revel in the fact that a husband was mentally cheating on his wife, but since she was compliant, you didn’t feel an ounce of guilt.
Once again the door creaked open and this time it was Dominguez and he was pissed. He stormed towards you and punched you in the gut. “You made my wife upset, you little cunt! Be glad that you are of value to me or you be dead.”
You knew Dominguez didn’t care about his wife, but she must’ve gave him an earful and that set him off. Holding yourself back, you smirked at the man. “I don’t know what’s worse for you. Me getting to you and killing you or the Winter Soldier and Killmonger killing you. Either way you end up dead and you better pray that nothing happens to me, because those two I mentioned are nothing nice to play with.”
All the blood drained from Dominguez’s face when you mentioned the Winter Soldier. He didn’t know about Killmonger, but he didn’t sound fun and now suddenly he was fearing for his life.
His silence stuck with you and you knew you had him. You decided to taunt Dominiguez some more. “Remember when I said boyfriends? I was talking about them. So, even if I end up getting sold, you won’t be spending any of the money.”
Richard continued to keep his mouth shut as he tried to calmly exit the room. When he was outside the door, he ordered his head of security to hire more guards in case the Winter Soldier came looking for him. Now he had to get rid of you much quicker than he would like to, because he refused to be a victim of the infamous Winter Soldier.
---
Shuri came through and she was able to locate Marcus in 15 minutes instead of 30, and the team had him in their custody no less than 45 minutes.
Bucky was sharpening his knife trying to calm himself before interrogating Marcus when Tony approached him. “I know you hate me, Stark, but I love Y/N, so don’t be mad at her when we get her back. She was just doing what she believed what was right by protecting me.”
Tony held back his disdain for Bucky. He had to admit that he admired how fiercely Bucky wanted to fight for you. “Barnes, I’m not here to fight you. Y/N would whoop my ass if I did right now. I just wanted to say I appreciate how you’re fighting to get her back and that none of this is your fault.” Bucky drew his brows in confusion at Tony’s statement. Did Stark really compliment him?
“I know. I know. It doesn’t sound like me. But you can’t fight at your best if you keep thinking its your fault that Y/N is captured. You were ok with Y/N going to the auction, because you knew she was going to do it anyway. Don’t beat yourself up over that,” Tony advised the soldier.
“Thanks.”
“I still hate you by the way. I’ll just hate you less once we get her back.” Tony effectively killed the chance of any reconciliation between the two and left the room
As Tony and Bucky were having a moment, Rhodey was talking to Erik trying to calm him down. “You can’t just go in there and start beating on the dude.”
Erik looked at Rhodey in disbelief, “Oh, I can’t? Watch me.” Erik was walking to the door that Marcus was behind and Rhodey pulled him back before he turned the handle.
“You need to calm down and do it quickly! I’m not letting you blow the only lead we have on finding my niece. Do you understand me?” This was the first time Erik seen the older man lose his cool. He heard from you how your Uncle James was always the chill one despite how crazy our mom or Uncle Tony could be. So, he knew he needed to calm down for the sake of your uncle.
“A’ight. I’m sorry, man. I just need to find her asap.”
Rhodey understood the young man’s urgency. He clapped his shoulder and warned Erik. “We need Marcus alive. The cops need someone to arrest.”
Erik caught Rhodey’s drift. He wouldn’t he able to kill Marcus but whoever was the real culprit was fair game.
When Erik finally gathered himself together he went to the door where Bucky was at and entered the room. The two killers had to school their faces as they entered the room. It smelled of bodily fluids and the heat in the room made it no better.
Marcus was sitting in the middle of the room in his own mess. He was a nervous mess because he didn’t know who kidnapped him and then the crazies had a jaguar and wolf snapping in his face.
“They miss their mom and they know you have something to do with her being missing.” Marcus instantly recognized the man talking. He was the Winter Soldier and he was casually flipping a knife around.
Soon as he recognized Bucky Barnes, Marcus soiled himself once again. Erik scrunched up his face in disgust and pinched his nose. “Really, nigga? You already pissed now you gotta shit! I bet you didn’t have that same energy when you let Y/N go.”
“Look man, I didn’t have a choice,” Marcus yelled in desperation.
Pissed off, Bucky echoed Marcus. “No choice!” Bucky kicked Marcus’s chair, causing him to fall and have Apollo and Artemis growl in his face.
“Are you really gonna let em eat him?” Erik pointed to the predators.
“They haven’t ate all day and he’s obviously no help. Is that a problem?”
“Nah, it’s chow time.” Erik broke out into a smile while Apollo and Artemis widen their jaws for their new meal.
“She’s in Huntsville! Dominguez has a bunch of land out there, but he has a small army. He’ll know you’re coming.”
“We don’t care!” Bucky yelled already texting T’Challa with the information.
Erik bent down to Marcus. “Before I rock yo shit, why did you betray her?”
Marcus was a sobbing mess by now, he feared for his life. “I had a gambling debt at one of Dominguez’s underground casinos. He said it’ll clear my debt and I could get a little extra if I help him get her. Y/N’s an Avenger, I thought she would be out by now.”
As Bucky heard Marcus’s explanation, he crushed the door knob in frustration. What kind of man traded his friend for money? He took his knife out and aimed it at Marcus and cut off the top of his ear.
Annoyed that Bucky threw the knife so close to his face, Erik reprimanded him. “You had to throw it next to my face?” Bucky nonchalantly shrugged his shoulders and exited the room. Erik quickly followed Bucky after he punched Marcus to silence his wails.
Thanks to Bucky texting the intel while they were still with Marcus, Shuri had the location of Dominguez. Everyone suited up as soon as a plan was formed, even though Bucky and Erik just wanted to go in guns blazing.
“You know we don’t plan on bringing Dominguez alive.” Bucky warned your parents.
Your mother left her husband’s side and for the first time looked Bucky in the eye. “I don’t give a damn. If he’s begging for mercy, you better let him bleed out. Just bring back my baby girl.” Now Erik and Bucky understood where you got a fierceness from.
Both men gave a head nod and a yes ma’am to her and left to go save their girl.
—-
You were getting anxious. If it was just you held captive, you would’ve already escaped and killed Dominguez, but you weren’t. The other girls were your responsibility and you promised them all that you would get them out safely and alive.
“Miss. Y/N, are your friends going to save us?” Lexie, the 10 year old asked you with hope in her eyes.
“Of course, honey. They’ll be here soon. If we get lucky, we might get to see the Scarlet Witch.”
Santana being the pessimist she was told the child not to get her hopes up. You were on the verge to cuss Santana out, but you heard gunshots and the screams of Dominguez’s guards.
A smile broke out on your face, help had came. You ordered the girls to grab the shivs they made in the past days.
All of you gathered together and were approaching the door when you heard footsteps by the door. You pushed the girls behind you and got in your fighting stance.
You abandoned your stance and fell to the floor in relief when you saw Steve, Nat, Sam, and Wanda at the door.
“It’s okay. I got you,” Steve hugged you being mindful of your injuries. You hugged everyone else and asked Wanda where Vision was. She told you he joined Tony and should be here soon.
“This family reunion is great, but we got people shooting at us and we need to get these girls to safety,” Nat reminded everyone.
“Nat’s right. You guys get the girls out and I’ll handle Dominguez.” You offered to your former teammates.
Steve was heavily against the idea. He claimed that you would be outnumber and your injuries would be a clear disadvantage. But you weren’t hearing none of it. You needed to kill Dominguez and your friends couldn’t get caught since they were still fugitives.
In the middle of your argument with Steve, your sword Shuri made for your birthday was suddenly in your hand. Then you heard the roar of Artemis and the howl of Apollo.
You smiled at your friends. “Game time, bitches.” This time Steve didn’t argue with you when you ordered them to get the girls to safety. He knew Bucky was there to save you and nothing would get in his way.
Thanks to your sword being made out of vibranium you easily dodge bullets and sliced through Dominguez’s henchmen. Your goal was to kill your captor and everyone who helped him, and you weren’t leaving the base til you did.
Taking two stairs at a time, you ran into the master bedroom and found Dominguez’s wife frantically throwing clothes, shoes, and jewelry into a duffel bag.
“Materialistic to the end, huh?” Your chuckle halted her packing. Immediately she was begging for her life and in that moment you truly didn’t know if you would leave her alive. You asked yourself WWCAD (what would Captain America do?) and regrettably you only knocked her out with a vase.
As you were tying up Richard’s wife, he came running into the room seeking refuge. Once he spotted you, he pointed his gun at you. “Damn, I thought you would’ve killed her. She knows too much about the operation.”
Dang, this man really didn’t care about anyone except himself. “You know I would say I feel bad for her, but she’s as guilty as you are.”
“Then maybe you should give me the same punishment as her,” he tried to bargain with you.
“Too late,” you stated and then you charged the man.
Your fight ended up in the hallway and near the railing. Dominguez and you were dodging each other’s hits. You lunged to stab him, but he fell over the railing but he grabbed you to bring you with him. You were expecting to feel the coolness of the marble floor, but instead you felt the familiar warmth of strong arms.
“I got you, princess.” Tears threatened to spill out when you saw Bucky and Erik. You kissed Erik and murmur a bunch of I love you. Then you jumped out of his arms and limped towards Bucky to do the same.
Unfortunately, your reunion got cut short by the groans of Dominguez. Erik and Bucky instantly got in defense mode but you had to pull them back. As much as you understood their anger, this was your kill.
You slammed your foot into Dominguez’s chest to stop him from getting up. “Remember when I told you I didn’t know if it was worse for you if I got to you if they got to you,” you pointed towards the two soldiers. He gave no answer, but looked at you in pure hatred.
“Well, I forgot about a third option and I’m gonna go with them, cuz they’ll kill you slower than I ever could.” Confusion and then fear crossed Dominguez’s face as he saw the jaguar and wolf prowling towards him out of the shadows.
While Apollo and Artemis were snarling in his face, you bent down to his ear and whispered, “You know my favorite thing about you douchebag dudes is the fear on your face once you know you lost and how you’re gonna die soon. It’s the best feeling.” You patted his chest as you smugly mocked his first conversation he had with you.
Once you started walking away you heard the crunching and breaking of his bones and his cries of pain as Apollo and Artemis ripped into him.
The adrenaline must’ve stopped pumping through you, because you fell to the ground before either Bucky or Erik could get to you. Blood was seeping out of your stomach when the boys reached you. Each of them were yelling it wasn’t your time yet as you repeatedly told them you were sorry. Luckily, Erik managed to insert a Kimoyo bead into your wound to stop the bleeding. And once again you blacked out as you have done so many times this week.
—-
“You’re very lucky Mr. and Mrs. Y/L/N based on all your daughter’s injuries she should be dead,” you heard the doctor inform your parents.
“Thank God!” Your mother praised as she sat in the chair next to your bed.
“Ummm, but is it necessary for them being here?” You could only assume that the doctor was referring to Apollo and Artemis, since you could sense their presence.
“They stay,” Erik ordered leaving no room for negotiations.
A few moments later and you felt your eyes flutter open. No one noticed that you were awake until they heard you groan in pain.
Your first words were where was Bucky and Erik.
Erik left his corner in the room and ran up to you. “Hey, princess. I’m right here and Barnes not here right now. We have too many eyes on us right now.”
Usually you would be understanding, but you didn’t feel complete until you had both men by your side. So, you pleaded with Erik to get him and he was about to comply when Secretary Ross entered your hospital room.
Automatically, you were on the defense and tried to sit up despite the pain you were in. Last time you saw Ross, you cussed him out so you doubted he would be happy to see you again.
“Y/L/N, it’s good to see you’re doing well.”
“What do you want,” you croaked out.
Ross widen his stance in an attempt to intimidate you. “We have reports from the other girls you saved and they said that Steve Rogers and the others were there helping them. Do you know where they have could’ve gone? And please don’t lie, the girls did say you did talk to Rogers.”
Your monitor was beeping quickly indicating the spike in your blood pressure. At this point, Ross was more than a thorn in your side and he was getting dangerously close to be on your kill list.
It also must’ve been your mother’s breaking point, because she jumped out of her seat and was in Ross’s face. “Are you fucking kidding me!!!” Your mama had to be furious to be cussing. You only heard her cuss a handful of times in her lifetime. “My daughter is in the damn hospital barely escaping death and you’re worried about capturing damn Captain America??? My baby girl is right, that heart attack must’ve fucked with your head more than you thought. Now I suggest you get out of this room or that wolf and jaguar are gonna have a new chew toy.”
Ross made the smart decision of leaving the room with no protests. You knew your mom could be scary, but for her to successfully threaten the Secretary of State, she earned a new level of respect from you.
“Damn, Mrs. Y/L/N remind me not to piss you off.” Erik laughed in admiration.
While looking at you and giving you a motherly caress, your mama replied to Erik. “I don’t play about my kids, even the ones who give me the most headaches. So, it’s best you and Barnes remember that.”
You almost couldn’t contain your excitement. That warning your mama gave Erik was also a seal of approval for both of them to date you. Who would’ve thought your mama would be open to you dating an assassin.
For a while you talked with your family. Shannon tried to apologize for unknowingly helping you get kidnapped, but you threatened to burn all her wigs if she tried apologizing again. That quickly got her to shut up.
The nurse came by and told everyone that visiting hours were over. Everyone left except Erik and when she tried to get him to leave, he gave her a deadly stare until she scurried off.
Running your fingers through Erik’s dreads calmed you and him. It was very possible that you wouldn’t have survived and never had the chance to see each other again.
Tears were forming in Erik’s eyes and this was the second time you saw him cry. Between sniffles Erik spoke for the first time since you two been left alone. “I almost lost you, Y/N. That scared the shit out of me. I’m about to ask T’Challa to assign a Dora to follow you when me or Barnes are not around.”
Half of you was grateful that you had a man that cared that much about you, but the other half was annoyed that you were about to get a 24 hour detail after this whole debacle. “I’m safe, E. But don’t you think it may be a little extreme to have someone watching me all the time?”
“Hell no.” Welp, there’s goes any negotiation. You didn’t have the energy to fight Erik on the topic, so you let it go for now.
Erik jokes with you for a bit to lift your spirits, but he knew eventually you would ask for Bucky again. He told you what you already suspected which was that Bucky felt guilty about your abduction and was avoiding you. You told Erik to get Bucky and tell him if he refused to come you would never speak to him again.
Within 10 minutes, Bucky was sulking in your room. Erik excused himself, knowing that you two needed this intimate moment and appreciative that he spent time with you already.
“You two seem really close now,” you pointed out to Bucky after Erik clapped his shoulder.
Seemingly nervous, his metal hand scratched the back of his neck. “Yeah, when the girl you both love gets kidnapped it brings enemies closer.”
Bucky made no attempt to get near you and it broke your heart. In the time you needed him the most he refused to be there for you, but you understood it, he was still blaming himself.
“Doll, I really shouldn’t be here.”
“Why?”
“It’s not safe. I heard that Ross came by looking for intel. Someone can come by and turn me in.”
Although, it was a valid concern, you knew that wasn’t the real reason Bucky thought he shouldn’t be there. “I have my own hospital floor and Tony made sure everyone signed a NDA, so try again, Barnes.”
This time Bucky moved towards you and you could see the pain in his eyes. Hell, you practically felt the pain rolling off of him onto you.
Bucky was crying by the time he sat next to you. He laid his head on your stomach and you could feel his tears seeping through your hospital gown.
When he finally composed himself, Bucky spoke.”Fuck doll, if I hadn’t encouraged you to go to that damn auction you wouldn’t be in this damn hospital bed.”
You lifted his chin to get his attention. “I’m only gonna say this once. It’s not your fault. I was gonna go with or without your permission.”
Bucky opened his mouth to apologize, but you held up your hand to stop him. “James Buchanan Barnes if you are fixing those gifted lips of yours to apologize, I promise you I will cut off your dick and you know how much I love it, baby. You wouldn’t want to do that to me, would you, babe?”
Laughter filled the air and it was music to your ears. Bucky’s laugh was low like his voice but it held a certain lightness that Bucky must’ve retained before joining the army.
“Ok no more apologies. But you’re gonna have someone with you at all times just to make me feel better.”
“I basically told her the same thing and she didn’t argue with me,” Erik added while he was standing in the doorway eating some jello-o.
You rolled your eyes in annoyance at the two men. They really thought you were gonna comply with them. “I didn’t argue with you because I’m too mentally tired to do so. But watch, once I’m feeling better I’m cussing both of you out for trying to tell me what to do.”
Both muttered a ‘we’ll see’ and laughed at you. Throughout the entire night the boys kept you entertained and not once did they argue. It was a rare occurrence for Bucky and Erik get along and you hoped for more of it in the future.
Sleep eventually claimed you and you were glad that you had your two favorite men by your side as it always should be

Whatever. Peter will take what he can get at this point, even if it means the most painfully awkward road trip in the history of the universe.
Two Lonely Souls In A Fish Bowl by blarfkey, Words: 14033 (COMPLETE) - SEQUEL TO JAIL BREAK There are tons of fun activities in Peter’s new life at Westchester. You know, like the never ending cleaning and dusting of all four floors of that gigantic mansion, trying to arrange Charles’ old clothes into outfits that wouldn’t get Peter’s ass kicked in a theoretical high school, getting home-schooled by a genius telepath who always knows when Peter cheats, and Peter’s favorite: midnight visits from his crazy terrorist father who may not be as awful or crazy as Peter thought.
Clowns to the Left of Me, Jokers to the Right by blarfkey, Words: 15735 (COMPLETE) - SEQUEL TO JAIL BREAK & TWO LONELY SOULS IN A FISH BOWL “Look man,” Peter says, “you don’t wanna fuck with me, ‘kay? My – my dad’s gonna find me, he’s gonna kick your ass. He’ll kill everyone in the building. He’s fuckin’ nuts.” The Man smirks. “Aren’t you a little old to be depending on your old man to save you?” Before Peter can give a witty retort, The Man pats his cheek and leaves. No one is going to come for him. He is going to die here. Alone.
Shine On You Crazy Diamon by blarfkey, Words: 24335 (COMPLETE) - SEQUEL TO JAIL BREAK & TWO LONELY SOULS IN A FISH BOWL & CLOWNS TO THE LEFT OF ME, JOKERS TO THE RIGHT Five years later, Peter has gotten his college degree and settled into life as a P.E. teacher at Charles' school. He's got his whole routine mapped out: combat training with Erik and Raven in the mornings, running the Baby Mutants ragged on the field until they start planning his assassination in the afternoons, mixed in with calling Hank every variation of "nerd" American slang can provide and staring at Raven's butt when she's too busy to kick him in the throat. After all the crazy shit he's had to go through, he finds comfort in this new-found stability, even if it means he's officially a Boring Adult who shops for prunes and wheat bread. And then Wanda blows up a car.
Luke, I am your father! by PalauMaggot, Words: 2365 (COMPLETE) Okay seriously. He could have done so much better than that. Facing off with his father who gave him the best line to come clean about being related to him and he goes and says, ‘I’m here for family too.’ Yeah it’s serious and the truth and vague and everything else but come on. The guy had his wife and only child (that he knew about) killed in front of him. So he guessed that springing the whole “You have a son!” on him during the ending of the world probably would have done more harm than good. Erik might have thought they were trying to manipulate him or something. OR: How Peter tells Erik that he's sort of his long lost son.
Like Father, Like Son by leahx, Words: 4191 (COMPLETE) Peter Maximoff might not have his father's name, but evidently, he has more than enough of the infamous Lehnsherr genes, including the ones that will one day be responsible for Charles' inevitable breakdown. Or the time, after the Apocalypse, when Peter screws up and accidentally ups the population of Lehnsherr/Maximoff-ville to plus one. And Charles isn't amused.
7 Tries by krispool, Words: 741 (COMPLETE) The 7 or so tries it takes Peter to talk to his father.
And from the ashes of their world, we’ll build a better one by AryYuna, Words: 25946 (COMPLETE) “She’d never really allowed herself to think about coming back to Westchester, lest she’d end up abandoning everything in exchange for the safety of that place. The mission was too important, more than her comfort, more than everything. Safety was for the others, for the dreamers like Charles, for the kids she rescued, but someone had to live in the real world so that others could hide – her brother, Erik, Hank.” Apocalypse has destroyed everything, but they can repair it. Together.
Late Again by Bravo_48, Words: 70931 (COMPLETE) The "Apocalypse Incident" has taken its toll on Erik Lehnsherr as the aftermath of the battle has left him hollow and lost on what to do with his life. He's been from a wanted terrorist to playing the role of a henchmen to a god, but nothing felt as important to him as being a father, but even that ended with tragedy. Bless Charles' heart of gold for helping him piece himself together, but he still feels so lost........ Peter Maximoff has always lived for the thrill (and speed) of life, but that doesn't mean he can always handle it. It took him a week for his brain to register that "Magneto" was his father and a month to fully accept it. The guy didn't seem so bad. Without Erik, Peter would have never found out how to break into highly secured prisons or how great it is to be an X-Men! Too bad Erik doesn't know how much of an impact he created in Peter's life... Funny part is that even with his ludicrous speed, Peter always seems too late to tell him so. (And always picks the worst times to try.) Especially when his life decides to turn upside-down in the process.
It’s Not So Black And White by Nishloo, Words: 6913 (STILL UPDATING) Peter Maximoff is an already complicated kid - boy turned x-men, a plethora of night terrors, and the inability to look his father in the eyes. Tel Aviv by Glass_Shoe, Words: 5760 (COMPLETE) Peter leaves Cairo in shock, not because he's surprised that the incredible clusterfuck of a rescue operation cooked up by Raven and Hank and the rest of team Prevent World Destruction actually sort of worked, but because he's actually in shock, like, he's shaking and sweaty and pale. You know: shock, because you can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs and you can't save the world without someone getting their knee completely shattered by a bald blue demi-god. A prequel to Immediate Family
Sometimes It Helps To Scream by SunnyMimi, Words: 1733 (COMPLETE) Peter was tired of it. For three years in the same vicious circle. Every day these damned missions against the Brotherhood. Sweet Dreams Are Made Of... by talkativefangirl13, Words: 34493 (COMPLETE) Peter didn’t instantly jump into conclusion when he saw Erik from afar, he’s probably having a relaxing swim or a soothing ‘me time’ contemplating about life and his stupid choices while facing down on the water, literally not moving. Nope this guy’s dying. Or where Peter always saves Erik and that one time Erik tries to saves him.

Well.

"I've figured it out about Peter. I've connected the dots." Charles groans, not bothering to open his eyes as he uses his telepathy. "You haven't connected shit." "I've connected them!" Erik protests. "Peter is my nephew." "No."
From the Ground Up and the Foundations Down by cjr2, Words:  21853, (COMPLETE) While rebuilding the mansion, Erik realizes he's just starting to come to terms with the guilt of having been the one to put Charles in that chair. He's also just starting to come to terms with the fact that something about Charles in a wheelchair is the sexiest thing he's ever seen.
better off without by olivemartini, words: 1743, (COMPLETE) If Erik had thought what his long lost son would look like, he probably wouldn't have thought that they would look like this. Or that they would have a kleptomaniac streak a mile wide. Or that his son's best friend would be blue, and with a tail. But then again, children very rarely match what their parents intend them to be. Erik doesn't think that Peter is overly impressed with the dad he had been dealt, either, so maybe they're even. ~or~the one where Peter finds Erik leaving the academy and stops him by telling him that he's his son
Insult to Injury ft. Dadneto (Peter Maximoff - X-Men) by whumptasticwednesday, Words: 6299 (COMPLETE) If there’s anything Peter Maximoff knew in this moment, it was that not being able to do the one thing your body was genetically enhanced to do, sucked. A lot.
What'd Ya Do? by fairyScorpicus, words: 22688, (STILL UPDATING) Peter was a loser, but losers couldn't break into the Pentagon so if he could maybe he wasn't a loser. Erik isn't dumb. The boy was clearly his son, and looked so much like Magda it hurt. "They told me you can control metal." says the boy. "You know, my mom knew a guy who could do that." and yeah, Erik believes him. ----- Basically: what-if Erik had more than one braincell and figured out Peter was his son?

realisations. by steelatoms, Words: 1550 (COMPLETE) Dark Phoenix sort of Fix-It where I actually give these two their well-deserved storyline.
Running. by NaomiPT, Words: 2079 (COMPLETE) Peter was always running from his problems, granted most of them began with 'Erik' and ended in 'Lehnsherr'. After his encounter with Jean, Peter finds himself avoiding people more, but perhaps all he needs is the person he's been avoiding the most. Or better put: Dadneto! Dadneto! Dadneto!
don't go wasting your emotion by zedille, Words: 2894, (COMPLETE) Peter has a few things he'd like to say. (XMDP crackfic/parody/fixit where Peter shows up in New York to call out Erik & give Jean a pep talk)

A really cool bird with rainbow feathers with a colorful basket full of eggs, that would grow up to be another bird, any kind of bird that they couldn't have ever thought of and- maybe a big stinky surprise by a lizard, or a puny little-“ “What has that got to do with anything you want to tell me?” Erik was fully annoyed at this point. Peter was talking to him like a child having the talk about bees and butterflies for the first time, and he didn’t like it. Erik clearly wanted to get over with this quickly .---In which Peter thinks he’s prepared, but Erik is not.
More Family Than You Know by leahx, Words: 11116, (STILL UPDATING) “Hank, where are we going?” “You don’t want to know.” He didn’t mean to sound so harsh, but it was the truth. Had Peter known where Hank was headed before he had boarded the jet, he strongly doubted he would have joined him on this journey. “Why not?” Peter’s alert gaze was fixed on Hank as he waited for his response. Hank sighed, enjoying the last moments of peace. "We're going to Genosha." ...or the fic where Peter, instead of being in a coma for the entire movie, joins Hank on his revenge quest to Genosha, where he's forced to face none other than his father, who may or may not already know the truth about the cheeky speedster.

The File with a Photograph ( Wanda & Pietro )
Tumblr media
HOLAAAA DE NUEVO!!!!!
A lot of people messaged me about Nadiya’s backstory and wanted more context. SO instead of writing her whole backstory out.I’ll write out imagine. I’ve always wanted to write it this way but it’s the best way to show how important her relationship is in the Avengers. In this the x-men and the avengers know about each other
To find out more about Nadiya and more OCs click here: OC masterlist
Summary: Clint wants Nadiya to tell the truth about her past after finding a mysterious photograph fall out of her paperwork. Nadiya breaks down in tears while telling her past in front of everyone and leaving a few people in shock.
Warnings: Swearing, angst
“Nadiya? Are you in here?”
Nadiya looked up from her scattered paperwork on her bed, glasses hanging off her nose.
“Yes I am still in here” Her thick Ukrainian accent calling out to the door. She looked back down at her work, scribbling a few notes on a mission planner.
The door opened wide and walked in was Clint, holding the file folder full of mission reports Nadiya had given him a couple minutes before. “Um, can we talk?” He closed the door and the sound of clicking shot Nadiya’s head up.
“About what? You were just in here to pick up work and leave without any conversation. You decided to be social all of the sudden?”  Clint chuckled lightly as he sat on the edge of the bed. Nadiya smirked and took her glasses off. “What is up hawkbrain?”
Clint looked straight into her eyes and took a deep breath, ignoring her last comment. “You need to tell everyone what is in that file.” Nadiya’s eyes narrowed. She looked back at her paperwork and started to work again.
“I already told you and everyone else, that file is private. I had it encrypted for a reason” The file Clint talked about was encrypted by Hydra, per request. Tony and the rest confronted her about it many times, more in the beginning of recruitment to the team. Nadiya always denied the file as any importance to the team and that it would be appreciated if people would stop acknowledging it. People complied.
Clint opened the folder and pulled out a photograph. It was old, clearly has been through all the elements and ripped, right at the corner... He laid in front of her paperwork, on top of what she was writing. Nadiya froze, dropping her pen. Her hand began to shake and her mouth gaped slightly.
“You have to tell them the truth. Tell me the truth. Tell everyone the truth. I kept my family hidden for years. I had an agreement too. I understand what you are feeling. Why you are scared. But you cannot hide this forever. They. Need. to know.” Nadiya looked over at Clint, tears d=brimming the edge of her eyes. Clint was right. She knew she couldn't keep this forever. She’s kept it a secret for so long, too long. She’s been with the Avenger’s for a year now, a year too long for them not knowing.  Nadiya closed her eyes, a nodded her head. At that, Clint wrapped his arm around her and hugged her. This was the first time he had hugged her, in a year. A hug he kept saved for this exact moment.
“Mr.Stark, Nadiya requests your presence in the living room for an important meeting” FRIDAY called over the intercom. Tony was on his sofa, scrolling through his holo-pad. “Why? She comes up with a way to repay for the microwave?” Friday chuckled. “No, sir. However, you could pay for a new microwave yourself?” Tony closed his holo-pad and got up from the sofa. “Well, I could also program you to speak only when the microwave door opens but i’m not going to do that either. Thank you FRIDAY, tell them I’m coming”
“Yes, Mr.Stark”
Nadiya fidgeted on the coffee table she sat on, jumping every time one of the team members walked into the living room. Clint stood next to the table, rubbing her shoulder, trying to calm her down. “Nadiya, are you okay? You look paler than usual.” Natasha said, crouching down in front of her, placing her hand Nadiya’s cheek.” Yes, she does look different” Maria chimed in from her big chair she claimed in every meeting. “Maybe she’s sick?” Pietro spoke up, speeding into the room with Nasira in his arms. Nadiya’s head automatically shot up at his voice and gulped. “Everyone, please just sit” Clint raised his voice a little. Natasha pulled back and sat on the couch with Wanda and Steve. Pietro and Sam stood behind the couch while Nasira went to sit with Vision, Rhodey, and Kharqa, which was something Rhodey wasn't comfortable with. “Where is Stark?” Fury said, standing in the usual corner. “Right here, one-eyed willy” Tony appeared out of the elevator, always on time to make some type of smart remark. “Just. Sit down” Clint exhaled.
Tony sat down in a single chair. “Alright, what was so important, Nuke baby?” He said while sitting. Clint was ready to say something until Nadiya’s hand raised. “It’s okay” she whispered, standing up as well.
Nadiya took a deep breath and looked around at everyone. “I have been hiding something from you all. Something that maybe could ruin this team, could ruin everything that I created and tried for this past year.” She exhaled a shaky breath. “ I am no longer going to hide what is in that encrypted file from you all. As Clint said, all of you deserve to know.”
“Clint, you knew?” Steve, with authority all of a sudden in his voice, asked. “No, not everything. I am going to learn just like you are” Clint said, rushed. “Continue Nadiya, you can do it.”
Looking over at Clint quickly then back at her hands, Nadiya started again. “ All of you know, half of my past. The kidnappings, the bombings, Hydra. The X-men. In Between the X-Men and now, there is a gigantic gap, missing. No not missing. Hidden……. Locked….. Kept away in my mind, in my heart, in that file. “ Nadiya choked on her first words. “While I was with Charles Xavier in the school, back almost 30 years ago…..I fell in love with someone. Someone I am- was...still in love today. We were both special. He was the only one I could trust, other than Charles. He treated me like a regular person, not with pity like everyone else. He told me when i was being stupid or ignorant and he told me when he was worried about me. He showed me the world in different perspectives. One in a way that has gotten me like am I now, and another of how he wanted the world to be. His name was Erik. Erik Lehnsherr….Magento”
“You fell in love with THAT old guy?” Sam said, his face written in shock and disgust. He was leaning on the edge of the couch. Pietro hit him in the head. “HEY! Boy, i will -”
“Shut. Up” Clint said darkly. Sam raised his hands in surrender.
Nadiya frowned upon Sam. “Yes, I did. He was much younger then and much more naive. Erik, he saw that this world, needed a leader. This world needed to be punished almost. He blamed the world for his life. For Auschwitz, for the Nazis. For hydra. He saw the world as hell. But, he saw me as Sun. Meine grüne Sonne ;My Green sun as he would call me. “ Nadiya smiled in between her sniffles. “ A while after being together, I got pregnant. Erik...he was there for me through it all. I had a daughter named Lorna. Lorna Dane.”
“Polaris, the daughter of Magneto….” Tony stated. “ Always knew she reminded me of somebody.” Naidya smiled faintly again before it disappeared. “She was a troublemaker. Her powers were strong when she was young. Had to get hide the metal all around the school. But, Erik, as much as he loved both of us, his mission was his priority. His mission to punish and rule over the world that did him so cruel. He almost killed the President of the United States if it wasn’t for Charles, Mystique and Me. After we stopped him, he saw what he did. He saw a monster. He saw himself as a monster. He saw what i saw myself years ago. Erik left, he disappeared. Leaving me and Lorna alone with the school. I was kidnapped soon after he left. I hadn't seen Charles, nor Lorna in twenty years. Twenty years. i….i ..i had no clue if they were safe. If Lorna still lived at the school. If Charles was still alive, shit if Lorna was alive! I was alone for twenty years, tested as an experiment, and as much torturing i was getting, i couldn’t stop worrying about Lorna…..or Erik. “
“After the X-Men rescued me, Charles told me that Lorna was adopted. By another family that supported Mutants in the time that they were in living in. That she could control her powers, and discovered after her 22nd birthday, that she stopped aging. I still hadn’t seen Lorna after my rescue. But, Erik. He had came back. We met in secret at a place we went frequently 24 years ago. He apologized. Begging for him to take him back. He constantly tried to rescue me but failed and was a worried mess about Me and Lorna. He left because he saw himself as a threat. A threat to us. To me and Lorna. I accepted everything and took him back. A year later, i had two more kids……..twins”
Nadiya by this point was in full on tears. Her makeup was starting to run, as she constantly swiped her eyes. She didn’t dare look up anyone. No one spoke, to in shock and interested to say anything. Ears keening to hear to rest of her past.
“I was...I was so scared for their safety, the thought of Hydra or the Government finding them, gave me chills down spine just thinking about it. I knew..we knew. To keep them safe, we would have to let them go. “ Nadiya sobbed. “ Erik contacted Charles and we flew Lorna over to meet her siblings for the first time and the last. She started crying, blaming the world, just like her father, that we couldn’t have the family she’s always wanted. The family we’ve always wanted. “
Before Lorna flew back to the states, we took a family photo at a shop, to experience something “normal”...like- like  “normal” even was in our dictionary. We flew to Sokovia and traveled to friends of Erik’s that he trusted with his life, and gave them the twins. Be- before we left, I - I ripped the photograph in half and left one half with them and kept the other.” Nadiya reached into her pocket with her damp hand and pulled out the folded photograph. “For years, For the past 28 years….I have been wondering what life have they been living, were they living normal lives that we always wanted. I never thought i would see them again”
Nadiya looked up, tears pouring out of her bright green eyes onto her pale cheeks. She looked straight at Wanda. Wanda's face showed confusion, shock, sadness. Tears ran down her face with her mouth agape, catching the tears on the corner of her lip. Nadiya handed the folder paper to Wanda, her hand shaking. Wanda hesitantly grabbed the photo and opened it. There was a woman holding two children in her arms, next to her, another woman standing next to her, a painsakened smile on her face as she leaned her head on the woman with the missing head’s shoulder.
“When i was brought here the first day, and I was introduced to you both” Nadiya looked at Pietro, who was staring in shock at the photograph. “I wanted so hard to run to you both and hug you, to tell you both how much I love you and how much i was sorry. How much I hate the world to force us apart. To apologize to you both. But i knew i couldn’t. I couldn't I couldn't ruin your lives you’ve created for yourself. I went into my new room and dropped to the floor and cried. I cried for hours. I cried tears of joy, tears of anger, tears of guilt”
Wanda turned around to Pietro, who quickly got the message and zoomed to Wanda’s room. Nadiya stared at where Pietro stood before then back Wanda, who stared at the photograph again, Pietro zoomed back into the room, next to Wanda, as she stood up. In Pietro’s hand held the missing piece of the photo. There was Erik, wearing his signature frown. Next to him, was the head of Nadiya. She looked different then. Shorter hair and her hair was all black, she had a skinner face as well. But it was Nadiya, it sure as hell it was Nadiya. Wanda looked up at Nadiya, tears in her eyes.
“ I am so sorry I’ve been keeping this from you” Nadiya whispered. Wanda gripped the picture and tackled Nadiya with a hug. Pietro followed right behind. Nadiya started crying again, this time Wanda not for behind her. On the couch, Natasha was crying along with Nasira and Steve. “‘So, what you’ve been keeping in that file, was that you were Wanda and Pietro’s biological mother.” Tony stated, exhaling in belief of what just happened. A new recruit happens to be two other recruit’s mother. It was shocker for everyone. Vision sat and comprehend everything. However, he had a hunch that they were related in some type of way, through facial structure. But he was going to keep that to himself.
Nadiya pulled back from the two. She put one hand on Wanda’s cheek and the other on Pietro’s. She smiled wide, a scene that none of the Avengers see on a daily basis. “Look at how much you both turned out, My Star and my little soldier.. I wish, you could have been safe, away from the torture that Hydra creates but, you two have your father’s genes, always did crazy things for the better of the world.” Wanda laughed, knowing that they volunteered after wanting to help the world, help the world away from Stark.
“This is great!” Sam said, still from behind the couch. “So when Pietro does some stupid shit, we can tell on his ass to Nadiya so he can get grounded” Everyone started to laugh, all the anxiety and tears drying away.
“Also, that means Vision and Nasira can’t play any games now, They have a nuclear mom and Metal welding dad and a metal and all of above older sister to worry about.”

Gerec’s Favorite Fics - 2020
A little early, but here’s a list of my favorite fics from this past year in no particular order. Hope you enjoy them as much I did! :D :D :D
Time the Preserver by MaxRobespierre
“Erik,” says the old man, looking directly at him, and, ah. Yes. That was why Erik stopped on his way back to the motel. His name, and the look in the old man’s eyes. He’s seen that look before, that depth of mourning. It’s not a look he likes to think about.

The Marriage Bargain by kianspo
Erik Lehnsherr had made a fortune manufacturing steel in Europe. When he wished to expand to the New World, he discovered that no one would do business with him unless he was affiliated with one of the First Families, the creme de la creme of the NW aristocracy. When Lord Marko holds an auction to give away his 14-year-old stepson's hand in marriage, Erik sees his chance and takes it. He has no interest in Charles himself, but now that he has him, can they make it work?

Suddenly There'll Be a Blizzard (Let It Snow Remix) by kianspo
Charles was never at his best while jetlagged, but locking himself out in a snowstorm while barely dressed might be a new low. The last thing he expected was to be rescued by his high school nemesis, the man he hadn't seen in over ten years, who might have broken his heart for good once upon a time.

Mr & Mr. Xavier-Lehnsherr by JackyJango
If you ask his late sister, she'd probably say that Charles had always had the hots for the bad boys.
Maybe it's true. Maybe that's how Charles had ended up willingly in their marriage bed. Maybe it's the ease with which Erik fights that had drawn Charles to him-- the confidence with which he uses his body to ensure maximum destruction, the fluidity with which he flares phasers as though they were an extension of his arm. Maybe Charles had been attracted to the grace with which Erik wielded his physical form in a way Charles would never be able to in his field of work. Maybe it's the aura that swirls around Erik for being the best mercenary on the planet. Or, maybe it’s just the roguishly handsome figure Erik cuts in a leather jacket and aviators with a cigarette caught loosely between his thin lips. The thing is, Charles doesn't know. And that's a tad antithetical coming from a man who had made knowing everything his job.
OR
A Mr & Mrs Smith AU in Space!
We'll Show Them All by kaydeefalls
Pacific Rim AU. Ten years later, the monsters are back, and newly-instated Marshall Charles Xavier needs to pull a team together to prepare for the coming war. That means finding his talented sister a Drift-compatible copilot -- even if that turns out to be his old flame Erik.
Just One More Question by BelgianReader2, g33kyclassic
Erik meets Charles at Pub Quiz League and it is hate at first sight. But, his team does need a new member and Moira is insistent that Charles is just what they need.
Erik is not happy about Charles, despite his trivia skill. Can time change his opinion? What about an unexpected revelation or two?
To the tune of our souls by hllfire
Erik, the drummer and one of the lead singers of the band known as The Brotherhood, writes a song after being inspired by the words of a university professor called Charles Xavier — another big name in the mutant community, much like Erik himself — and he wants Charles' speech to be in his song.
The only problem is that Charles Xavier doesn't seem to agree with Erik's idea.
A Tale of Two Captains by ClarkeStetler, Goosenik
Charles Xavier had wanted to be on the ocean as far back as he could remember. He could remember toddling toward the shipyards as an infant, being snatched away by scolding parents just before he could touch the gleaming vessels. As he grew older, his attention never wavered from the prospect of living life on the seas. At twenty-one years of age, Charles and his ship had its first run-in with pirates, and he saw fit to protect his title and vessel as fiercely as he knew how.
Aka: a one-shot of Erik the pirate trying to ransom Charles the captain, but finding that Charles is a little hard not to get attached to.
I'm a bullet by Isolee (WIP) Since mother - since the house - since Cain - He's adapted. He can do anything. Now he wants something, and he suspects he might even deserve it. Or - Charles is sort-of a sex addict, and Erik is his married-with-family supervisor at Uni.
I'll Take You Down (The Only Road I've Ever Been Down) by kianspo
Tony and Emma are trying to help Charles get over a bad relationship. Many bad relationships, in fact, as Charles has the worst taste in men. They dare him to get 'cured' by sleeping with someone 'normal', having no idea that that normal guy just happens to be someone Charles has been crushing on for a while...
All We Are We Are by kianspo
Charles's boyfriend breaks up with him days before the holidays. Not willing to ruin anyone else's festive mood, Charles hides this fact from his sister and his friends, and retreats into the family mansion, letting the world move on without him. He's flirting with depression when a one-time ex and a long-term friend surprises him. Long-kept secrets are revealed, and it turns out, Charles hasn't been paying attention to the right things.

“I get where you’re coming from dude, but honestly shut the hell up and don’t talk about her/him that way.”
Thank you for the ask, @ikeracity! Sorry it took this long to get back. And sorry for the length of the answer.
—-
The Genoshan public know the Professor and Magneto as veritable adversaries. As Mutant activists, Professor X and Magneto have rarely, or never, seen eye to eye on mutant issues and rights. They oppose and contradict each other even they fight on the same side– as rare as a blue moon the occurrence is. With Magneto becoming the leader of the extremists’ club called ‘The Brotherhood of Mutants’, and the Professor’s followers declaring themselves as the ‘X-Men’, announcing Dr. Charles Xavier as their leader, their radically different viewpoints have made them something akin to cult figures.
‘The young front of Mutant Politics,’ the Genoshan Daily reports.
What would have been benign arguments with anyone else turn into raging wars when these two are involved. Their infamous debate in the Parliament on the Mutant Registration Bill, though a thing of the past, is still on the common tongue.
‘Things get very furious very fast with these Mutants,’ MP, Steve Rogers quips about Professor Xavier and Magneto.
The press seems to love them; for when they share a screen– or even breath the same air– there’s no dearth of drama.
When he’s not the acclaimed HOD of Genetics at the Genoshan University, Professor Xavier is a socialite, the darling of the Genoshan elite club. His step-father, the late Kurt Marko, was a member of the Congress. His mother, the late Sharon Xavier-Marko, founded most of the charities in the country. However easy the Professor’s entry into the Parliament was, the telepath quickly gained popularity and became the leader of the Integrationalists by his cogency alone. He’s loved by subsets of the human and mutant population alike for this very quality. The Parliament, however, seem to love him for another reason entirely. For the reason that he’s their only shield against their abominable opponent, Magneto.
Magneto has a murky past– more based in rags than in riches. His cryptic persona is a hit amongst the mutant youth, and paired with his phlegmatic character and baritone voice, it has garnered him the support of the mutant masses. It is safe to state that the leader of the Separatists and master metal bender has street cred. That, however, hasn’t stopped him from making his presence felt in the Parliament from time to time.
And when the Professor and Magneto come face to face, the Genoshan public is in for a treat, for their fights are nothing less than a display of fireworks.
-x-
They fight at home, too. Only here, they’re Charles and Erik, and their fights are the kind that come with a terrifying sense of domesticity.
‘Charles, I can’t find my other sock. Have you seen it?’ Erik shouts from the walk-in closet, scowling at the grey sock in his hand.
‘Just a minute,’ comes Charles’ reply after a pause.
‘Keep scowling like that, and you’ll give yourself more wrinkles,’ says Charles as he walks into the room. He’s dressed in Erik’s track pants and sports a pair of mismatched socks on his feet– both in close variants of grey.
‘Keep stealing my socks like that, and you’ll make me an old man ahead of time,’ Erik retorts on spotting his missing pair.
‘Hey, you know my feet get cold quickly. Besides, it’s not my fault that you own only grey socks. It’s hard to differentiate.’
‘You have the same kind of tea with different names in ten different boxes. You don’t see me complaining about it.’
‘Just like I don’t complain about your stupid hat collection that doesn’t see the outside of the coat rack?’
‘Hey, firstly, they’re not hats. Secondly-’ Erik stops and sniffs forcefully. ‘Something is burning on the stove.’
Charles’ eyes go wide in remembrance and the alarmed oh dear ricochets between their minds. They both run to the kitchen at once.
It’s mundaneness at its best at the Xavier-Lehnsherr household.
*
With over three million followers– and growing– on each of their social media, the Professor and Magneto’s accounts quickly turn into combat zones without much instigation. While Professor Xavier– a.k.a Professor X– is well known for his diplomacy, the infamous metal bender, Magneto, is celebrated for his ripostes. Their interesting dynamics have encouraged their followers to deride those on the other end. To add fuel to the fire, the Professor and Magneto choose to mutually censure each other publicly. When the Genoshan Mail asked for his opinion on Magneto rallying for Genosha to become an all-mutant state, the Professor said:
‘Magneto is an impetuous narcissist. He can rally all he wants. It won’t change the fact the Genosha is for everyone.’
In 2016, the Professor made a verbal jab at Magneto’s suit and his lopsided cape.
‘It’s tacky and belongs to a circus,’ he said.
Magneto himself has called the Professor ‘a naive fool’ on multiple occasions. Once during the UN Peace Summit, no less.
When asked about the Professor’s trust in the Government to pass a bill banning suppressants, Magneto has been reported to have said:
‘Professor Xavier is a pretentious know-it-all in a tweed suit. The fact that he’s an all-trusting fool on top of it will be doom of mutants.’
Acting by their leader’s examples, several prominent heads from both the sides have indulged in verbal wars over the years, slamming the other down with slanderous comments.
The Professor and Magneto, however, seem to hold the rights to mutually disparage each other just to themselves. When Mark Blackwell had asked the Professor on how he felt being associated to a supremacist monster like Magneto on Follow the leader, the Professor’s outburst had stunned the filming crew– and the larger part of the population when the show was aired.
‘No man is a monster, Mr. Blackwell. And certainly not Magneto. He might be an extremist and blunt in his approach, but his intentions have never swayed from Mutant equality. Please choose your words more carefully in the future.’
The Professor’s blue eyes had reminded one and all that inciting the ire of an omega-level telepath isn’t the wisest idea.
Magneto, too, has made it clear that he isn’t the one to fall behind. The proposal for a dynamic medical insurance scheme for those with extreme and physical mutations had taken the mutant community by storm. Magneto had cried that the scheme was a sham in a rather colourful language, and the Professor had assured that the Government was amicable for negotiations. The Genoshan Broadcasting Network had brought the two leaders and their supporters for a Prime time face-off, witnessed by audience from all fragments of society. The steady stream of subtitles on the screen had run through several speeches and arguments– including that of the two leaders.
With the last half hour of the show dedicated to audience questions, a mutant by the name of Leech had taken the stand behind the microphone and thrown his question at the Professor.
‘Give this stupid scheme a chance? Trust the Government to treat us fairly? Look at me, Professor,’ he had said, pointing to his green skin and overly large head, ‘Do you think a hospital would be willing to take me in if not for monetary benefit? An entitled mutant like you will never understand the plight of the likes of us. Who are you to fight for our rights? What have you done for us other than looking pretty and writing fancy books? Hell, why do we need an enemy on the outside when scums like you are amongst us?’
Magneto had snapped immediately, face stony and voice as hard as iron,
‘I get where you’re coming from, dude. But honestly, shut the hell up and don’t speak about him that way. Charles Xavier has done more for mutants than you’ll never know.’
Though the transcript on the display had read ‘hell’, members of the audience had heard it differently– something the network chose to politely omit.
‘That still doesn’t stop them from calling each other names,’ observes comedian Remi Lebeau.
-x-
On their sofa, Charles turns in Erik’s arms to face the latter. The thick blanket that is careless
thrown over their laps wrinkles with the action. Here, too, they call each other names– if endearments and sweet nothings could be categorised thus.
‘You didn’t have to break his camera, darling. He was only doing his job,’ Charles scolds mildly.
Erik rolls his eyes. ‘I didn’t break it. Just disabled it. Besides, he wasn’t doing his job. He was condemning you.’
Charles sighs. ‘Why won’t you listen to me when I tell you that I can defend my own honour?’
‘My point precisely, liebling,’ Erik takes Charles’ hand and interlaces their fingers. ‘You can, but you don’t. So I don’t care how many times you prohibit me to, I’ll do it-’ Erik pulls Charles close and whispers against his lips ‘-because I love you.’
Charles looks at Erik then like he’d handed him the moon, and brings their foreheads together. ‘I love you, too,’ he coos.
‘Not more than me. No,’ Erik says shaking his head against Charles’ petulantly.
‘You’re such a child, Erik,’ Charles says chuckling fondly. ‘A six foot child.’
‘With a nine inch dick,’ Erik completes.
Charles looks bemused when he pulls back– torn between laughing over and punching Erik.
He settles for punching Erik in the ribs.
*
With all the hype that surrounds the Professor and Magneto, little, or nothing, is known about their personal lives. It’s only business when these two mutants are in the Primetime Bulletin. While a golden band has made the Professor’s ring finger its permanent residence, what resides under the metal bender’s leather clad hands remains a mystery.
A small fraction of the society, however, have a notion that the two were, or are, involved. To what capacity, is the goal of their mission. A steady stream of blogs run on the world wide web that decrypt their speeches and catalogue their appearances against plausible theories of their coupling.
‘They’re fucking for sure,’ says Kitty Pryde (24), founder of Ishipprofessorxandmagneto.com. ‘The fact that the Professor is married be damned.’
Professor Xavier has been evasive on the topic– neither confirming nor denying the rumours of a significant other.
When Syrin confronted Magento for mutantlove.com, the metal bender responded,
‘Whom I fuck or don’t fuck is none of anybody’s business.’
Very few have dared to broach the topic publically after that.
-x-
Charles sighs standing at the foot of their king sized bed. ‘I thought we decided not to get presents, love.’
‘It’s not a present. I saw this and thought that it would look good on you.’ Erik says as Charles picks up the lilac sweater laid out on the comforter. The label reads: ‘Happy 10th Wedding Anniversary, Charles’. The telepath holds it to his torso and smoothens his hands along the soft wool. ‘Look, it even brings out your eyes,’ Erik says with a pleased smile.
Charles places the sweater on the bed carefully and closes the distance between them by looping his arms around Erik’s neck. ‘That’s cheating, because I didn’t get you anything,’ he drawls.
Erik circles his arms around Charles’ waist and pulls him impossibly close. ‘You’re more than enough,’ he says with a dreamy smile.
‘Romantic!’ Charles giggles.
‘No, I’m not.’
‘Yes, you are!’
‘Absolutely not!’
‘Do you want to fight me on this one, too,’ Charles aks with raised brows.
Erik grins with far too many teeth. ‘Only if it’s foreplay.’
*
The Professor, with his Oxford education and the three PhDs that come with it, is regarded highly amongst the intellectuals. His students often see him in frumpy cardigans and floppy hair. But on the rare occasions when he chooses to grace the read carpet to raise funds for charity, he’s a dashing vision in bespoke tuxedos and stylised hair. His rather charming personality, posh British accent and manners complete the ‘gentleman’ image of Charles Francis Xavier. His ‘No Violence’ policy only ramps it up to higher levels.
His students, colleagues, and acquaintances have nothing but high praises to offer about the good professor.
‘Charles is the kindest man I know,’ says Dr, Moira MacTaggart, HOD of Criminal Law at the Genoshan University.
‘We love the Professor. He’s been a guiding light in many of our lives,’ says Jubilee, a student in Professor Xavier’s Mutations class. When asked what vexes the Professor the most, she laughs. ‘Expletives. He hates them!’
-x-
‘Fuck…’ Charles moans impatiently below Erik– his skin flushed and hair disheveled– and levels a smack to Erik’s backside.
‘What was that for?’ Erik asks cluelessly, eyes wide and mouth ajar.
‘Come on, Erik, move. Put your back into it, and use your dick,’ Charles growls, bringing his hand up to twist it in Erik’s hair.
‘Mein Gott, Charles,’ Erik gasps out in mock indignation. ‘What a dirty little mouth you have.’
‘It’s the same mouth that sucks your dick and kisses you every morning. Unless you want to change any of that, shut up and fuck me.’
That puts an end to Erik’s line of rejoinders. ‘Yes, your Highness,’ he groans and promptly complies.
*
Very few to none have seen the man behind Magneto’s helmet. The image of his Maroon bodysuit backed by his lopsided cape, however, has become the definition of the Government’s nightmare. The Press and the media in general have an on and off love affair with the metal bender. One one hand, he can shoot their TRPs heavenwards with his instigating speeches that move the masses and sets them afoot. On the other hand, he can break their cameras and recorders when it pleases him, leaving them as eyewitnesses as proof of their news.
While a devoted fragment of the society worships him as their hero– embodying his moto of ‘Mutant and Proud’, and willing to follow him to the ends of the world– not many are pleased by Magneto’s violent approach to solving issues.
‘You can love him or hate him. But you can never ignore him,’ says Claire Ferguson, host of the Late Late Show.
His displays of his powers have simultaneously induced awe and terror in many.
‘I’m terrified of him,’ says Samuel Wilson, recalling the time when he had simply watched in horror as Magneto uplifted a football stadium. ‘The man can melt metal for fuck’s sake!’
-x-
In the kitchen, Erik melts a bar of dark chocolate and stirs it steadily. On the counter, a metal sheet bends in the shape of a heart. A red gift wrap and ribbon lie still to be used.
‘Where is my husband, and what have you done with him?’ Charles deadpans when Erik enters the study with the box in hand.
Erik chuckles and floats the box to Charles. ‘Happy Valentine’s Day, liebling.’
Charles beams, but just to be difficult, he adds: ‘Aren’t we a little too old to be celebrating Valentines’?’
Erik walks to Charles’ side. ‘That reminds me. What do the kids ask these days?’ He makes a show of thinking, and with a smouldering smile, asks: ‘Will you be my Valentine, Charles?’
Charles laughs and pulls Erik in by his shoulders. ‘You old fool, I already am,’ he says fondly, and crashes their mouths in a searing kiss.
-x-
They’re either furiously fighting, or passionately making love. There seems to be no in-betweens for these two mutants.

Genderbent Plane Sex, now part of the cleanout!
@gerec reminded me of this yesterday. I thought it was far less finished but turns out that all it needed was some needless-dialogue trim and an ending and four beta readers who I did not get, as you can probably tell.
Plane sex! Erik is a woman! Woohooo!
Charles Xavier is a kind man, even when he thinks he is not. It’s what has drawn Erika to him ten years ago and it’s what draws her to him now.
A few things changed though: ten years ago it was the novelty of meeting such man, a mutant, who wasn't anything like the men she’d known before. All of them fleeting acquaintances who had desired her and been useful in one way or another. And the men before she’d freed herself, at the camp, monsters who had called her beautiful, a princess, and a Jewish whore in the same sentence. They were all dead now, buried in shallow graves and deep brooks.
Then Charles Xavier came around everything was different. He was a short, cocky brat, too naïve for his own good, but he saw who she was and what had made her, and he wasn’t afraid. Instead he was kind to her and loved her, truly loved her, until their ideologies grew irrevocably apart.
Today Charles doesn’t love her, not anymore. He’s become a cynic who has abandoned his ideals, he abandoned all of them, including himself. He gave up his powers, for what? So he could walk?!
Erika knows this isn’t true before she says it, screams it at him, but it’s out there and when he answers she finally sees how hurt Charles really is. She hurts too. She did this, parts of it at least and while guilt is too strong of a word, she seeks him out on the sofa to ease this heavy feeling in her chest.
He doesn’t move when she sits down next to him but flinches when she touches him. For a second it looks like he wants to move his arm away and Erika would have let him, even if it had destroyed her.
Charles might not love her anymore, but she does love him. She always has and while the words would never cross her lips and she tries to keep her fingers from telling him, she can’t quite stop touching him. He’s thinner, older –  aren’t they all –  and there’s resentment in his eyes she wishes was never directed at her.
Yet he stays still and lets her touch him, and when he closes his eyes when she reaches his cheek, he leans in, just the tiniest bit. This is when Erika knows she’s doing the right thing. She comes closer, feels the warmth of his body on hers and stays, stays so close she can feel his breath on her. When he opens his eyes again the resentment is still there, but without its edge. He looks lost and torn, as if he’d hoped she’d have answers for him but she didn’t and as if this filled him with sadness and anger.
Erika wishes she could make this go away; wishes it so hard she could cry. Instead she kisses him. He gasps but doesn’t jerk back, he just stares at her with confused, conflicted eyes when she pulls back. When she kisses him again he slowly kisses her back, then, when her fingers wander into his long, so much longer than before hair, an urgency mixes in that releases a sigh from deep within Erika.
She’d wanted this for so long. To feel his skin on hers, any contact really, she’d needed it and this was the best kind, to feel his face search for hers with such intense longing, just like she’d felt it all those years in that fakakta prison. She shivers and moans into it, can’t help it, and something breaks in Charles.
He grabs her by the back of her head, the kiss turns ferocious and spills over her lips, down her neck. His beard is coarse on her skin, scratches her and it couldn’t be better. She needs more, so when he impatiently shoves his hand underneath, she opens her blouse for him. Erika never was a curvy woman, age didn’t change that, but Charles never cared and she screams when he bites at her.
“Shhhh!”
“Wait, wait…”
The resentment still isn’t gone, it probably never will, but there’s something wild and desperate in Charles’ eyes too and it’s enough for Erika. She seals Hank and that Logan in the cockpit, shoves down her skirt, pantyhose, everything and lies back on the armrest, her gaze never leaving Charles.
For a moment he just gapes. Stares at her naked body with wonder and more and more primal lust (but Erika doesn’t feel exposed, never has with Charles) when he suddenly can’t get his belt off fast enough.
It hurts; of course it does, there wasn’t much opportunity for this at her prison, she needed a bit more time, but Erika relishes it. Pain never meant much to her, except that this one does, this is a pain she welcomes. She cries out and holds on to the backrest as Charles pushes in and finds a hard and fast rhythm.
His eyes are closed again, his face turned away and his hips move as if he wants to punish her. But he can’t; not like this, not with her legs wrapped tightly around his waist, his warm weight pressing her into the sofa where she’s safe and his brutal thrusts bringing her closer to him than she has been in many years.
Charles Xavier is a kind man, even when he thinks he is not.
And he’s kind to Erika even if it doesn’t look like it. If Charles still had his powers he’d know, but even now there is some sort of awareness. He pants, opens his eyes to look into hers. Sadness, anger and pain flicker over his face in quick successions, so Erika takes him in her hands and holds him as he keeps pounding into her. She closes her eyes and lets it all wash over her, gives her body over to his bursting out emotions like she did when he still had his powers and he still loved her.
He makes a sound somewhere between a hiccup and a moan, shoves her hips up with his and pushes her shoulders down, bending her into a tight shape on the sofa before he continues to fuck into her with a pitiless pace.
Erika can’t really tell when it stopped being uncomfortable and became good but right now it feels like the best thing in the world and she can’t hold in her gasps. It’s so intense and visceral, she needed this so much! She sucks her lip in but the moans keep coming louder and louder until Charles puts his hand over her mouth to quiet her. His warm sturdy, gentle, careful-not-to-hurt-her hand. She cries into it, her pelvis draws tight and she comes, hard and with convulsions so deep they shake the hull of the jet.
She quickly steadies it again, but Charles doesn’t even seem to have noticed. He looks wrecked above her when she opens her eyes, tears are forming in his and he’s moving his lips as if to say something. Erika doesn’t want to hear it yet, it doesn’t matter, not now! She puts her hand on Charles’ mouth, tightens around him and pulls the orgasm out of him. He pants, groans as if in pain and comes for a long time.
Erika holds him tight throughout and wishes nothing more than to be kissed. She doesn’t dare to ask, shy for once in her life.  Charles collapses on top of her, he isn’t heavy, his body hot from the extortion and he grounds her with his weight and the feel of his skin on hers. This has to be enough.
They lie like this for a stretch of time, Erika hopes it never end but it does, as all good things must.
Charles doesn’t look at her when he pulls out or when he hastily puts himself back in his trousers. His face is red, some of it has to be shame and a heavy weight grows in Erika’s stomach. Of course it has to end like this. What did she expect? This wasn’t meant to be anything of substance. Just an instant of trying to hold onto something long lost in the face of evil.
She can feel him leak out of her though, adding to the mess she made on the sofa, and she panics. She didn’t get her period regularly in prison and she might be too old already anyway, but this is not the moment nor the place, not with where they are going…
Charles’ hand is on her calf. He’s still on the sofa with her, he still doesn’t look at her but he holds her calf and sighs. He strokes it gently down to the ankle, around which he can’t close his fingers and up again. His eyes follow the lines of her body, the lust is gone and a softness has filled in instead. It isn’t even close to how he used to look at her, but it’s there. He leans in and kisses her right knee. It’s awkward and Erika wishes he had his powers, so she could ask him quietly, but for now he kisses her knee again and rests his face against it.
Then he gets up to the bathroom and leaves her on the sofa to sort herself out. They’ll be in Paris soon. The world is hanging on a thread and they’ll have to face difficult decisions soon enough. Erika closes her eyes, pulls her right knee tight to her chest and smiles.

Part 16

“We won’t hurt you.” Mystique was interrupted from her train of thoughts, immediately feeling the warm hand on her shoulder. “Just tell us what you know, and we’ll let you free.” Her brows knitted together, her yellow eyes looking directly into Steve’s blue ones.
“What the fuck are you doing Cap?” Natasha smacked the guy’s hand off the mutant’s shoulder, still unsure of what their Captain was doing. Bucky instantly followed Nat and questioned the Captain on why he was acting so soft towards Mystique. “Steve.”
But the Captain didn’t answer, he just stared at Mystique-their eyes peering onto the other. The mutant’s shoulder tensed, and then her body finally stopped trembling as she looked at Steve with trust.
“Okay.I’ll tell you.”
“I was envy of her you know?”
Tony scoffed, his eyes rolling as he gazed back at Mystique with disdain in it. “We already know that kid. You’re one hella jealous kid.”
Tumblr media
“Ugh.Just listen to me Tony!” Mystique exclaimed, groaning as she rolled her eyes again-mimicking the man in front of her. “When Charles told me that she was the chosen mutant to be the newest member of the Avengers, my jealousy grew. It was one thing that she has the most amazing power there ever is but  it’s another for Charles to choose her on that matter!” Mystique continued rambling, pacing in the room as she mumbled how she envied Eve. Steve frowned, sad to witness how jealousy can turn someone nice and caring for someone who’s willing to put another person in danger. Steve had met Mystique before, she was just a teenager when he did, and it was even before Eve was a part of the Avengers, Erik always talked about her-Charles sometimes does but not always like he talks about Eve. “Charles knows how much I dreamt of being an agent! Of being an Avenger! After what happened before, when I and Erik were both ruled by the voices in our head and the desire to end the discrimination and bigotry against us mutants, I just badly wanted to do things right! And knew that being a part of the Avengers will be the only way for me to prove my point.”
“And what is your point?” Clint interrupted, his arms up on his chest as he glared at the mutant.
“My point is…. That I can be a better person, that us mutants do not always means harm!”
“No harm? Huh.” Sam scoffed, laughing mockingly as he walked towards Mystique in anger. “Then what do you think did you do huh? Maybe you forgot but, one of our team member, one of our family- is kidnapped because of you! Eve is still out there Mystique, maybe you lost count, but she’s been lost for four fucking years because of you! Four fucking years!” Steve immediately took a hold of Sam’s arm as the guy was about to swing it onto Mystique’s face. Frowning as he remembered you again.
“I know!I know it’s my fault and I’m ready to make things right Sam!” Mystique fought back, looking at Sam in his eyes as Steve slowly let go of the guy. “Korvac never told me about where he’ll take her, He just told me that he can help me.”
“Help you?”
“I just didn’t want to become an Avenger okay? It was more of I-want-to-prove-that-I’m-better-than-Eve kind of situation. But there was no other way than that collaboration crap SHIELD and the school. But when Eve was chosen and then her being an Avenger was announced in public, I knew I had no chances left. I let it be at first, but one day a message was sent to my room, and then a secured email as well. I knew it was just another mission for us and the new mutants but when I opened it, it was a specific mission just for me. Every mission, Charles, Erik and Moira would talk to the assigned mutants before we go to the assignment. But the letter said that it was top secret and for it not to raise any questions from others, The big three won’t be meeting me anymore and that I need to go to the mission late at night. So I did, I was led to an abandoned building and there I met a guy-“
“Korvac?”
“Yes. He was wearing casual clothes and he wasn’t in a form of whatever divinity or god you saw. He looked normal.”
Tumblr media
“You’re here early.” A dooming eerie voice boomed over the building, Mystique’s eyes shot wide open- ready to fight as she quickly grabs her gun. “Oh please,You won’t be needing that Mystique.”
“Why do you know me? What do you want?” Korvac chuckled, turned his body as he stared back at the mutant. “Who are you?”
Mystique continued on, never leaving a detail as guilt finally descended on her.
“I have a proposal for you.” Korvac continued, getting closer to her as he pressed a button on the remote, slides of hologram circling them both. “I’ll grant you your biggest wish.” Mystique’s brows furrowed together as she watched the videos on the screen, it had Eviana and the Avengers- Charles and Eviana and her and Eviana as well.
“What do you mean?” Mystique mumbled, staring at the pictures of the different news channels with Eviana’s face on it with the headline “Another safe day, thanks to the Avengers.
“What I mean is-“ Korvac smirked “this.” With a press of another button, a picture of the famous Tony Stark popped. “You’ll have him, and all the fame you want.”
“W-What do I need to do?” Mystique whispered, not believing herself on why it was easy for her to betray her best friend.
“So that’s it?” Clint barked, shoving the metal chair beside him.
“Yes!That’s what I’ve been telling you, you moron! I don’t know where he took her okay?Korvac just told me that once he gets her, my only job is to pretend to be her! After that we never talked again, just until last time when he assigned me again to do another job.”
“And that is?”
“To get a file from Tony’s computer. He sent me a flash drive that instantly hacks the tech’s software and security. It was the day that you guys left me with Bruce and Thor. When you all caught me?”
“Did she really took the file? What file was it?” Natasha whispered close to Tony’s ears, but was yet answered by Bruce as the first guy was too busy glaring at the mutant.
“I checked it, it was a buggy I guess.Maybe F.R.I.D.A.Y knew that it was unauthorized so it just placed a buggy file.” Natasha nodded, ignoring the blush creeping onto the guy’s cheeks.
“That’s it? That’s the only thing that Korvac told you?”
“He also told me… that for me to not get caught, I can somehow try and break you guys apart. That’s why I played with Steve’s feelings, made a fight with Wanda and Nat- and also, lied about Tony-raping me.”
“You’re a sick monster.” Tony exclaimed, towering over her as he tackled the girl. Eyes teary as he finally felt the assurance that he didn’t try doing something so vile and malicious to the lady he loved.
“I just didn’t want you guys to know okay? I just wanted to be loved! To be accepted! To be appreciated.” Mystique blurted out, weeping as she looked at the team whom she tried breaking apart so bad.
Everyone became silent, looked at each other as they all try understanding the scene that was playing in front of them. Natasha looked away, her gaze landing on Wanda who has her eyebrows knitted together-tears flowing on her cheeks.
“Wands’?You alright?”
Tumblr media
“You know that’s wrong right?” The witch ignored her, glaring into Mystique’s pleading eyes as Wanda walked closer to her. A red wisp following her as it flowed from her delicate hands, Pietro’s eyes widened-knew that if his sister gets closer to the mutant, she might do something she might regret in the future. “It’s wrong because it’s impossible to love someone like you, a sick monster who let’s jealousy and envy run her decisions. So immature.” Wanda spat, ignoring the whimpers of Mystique who stood close to Steve. “You’ll never be loved Mystique.Never.”
“Wanda, stop that.”
“You’ll never be accepted for who you are because you’re one jealous bitch.”
“Wanda,” Steve whispered, worry lingering in his voice as he saw Wanda’s blue eyes turned red, glowing with her powers as she wrapped her hands around Mystique’s neck. “Wanda! No!”
“And you will never be, an Avenger,” Wanda yelled, digging her nails farther as the team tried stopping her. Tony quickly pulling her away before she can even suffocate the girl.
“Wanda, no. Oh, Sweetie.” Tony cooed, immediately catching Wanda’s body as the girl fainted. “Call Dr.Cho.” His eyes lowered as he watched her sleep, massaging the girl’s forehead that had creases a while ago. Tony knew what Wanda was feeling, and maybe he was hurting much more. But he knew that it was just too much. It’s been four years since they last saw you, and every day, it’s taking another chunk of their already broken heart.
As days passed, the entire team was on the look for you yet again. Tony and Bruce continued assigning tasks to every member again, no one complained- every one of them complying and doing their best to come back to their team and maybe you finally tagging along. Mystique’s story helped them, as well as Thor who also told them about what he and Loki found when they were looking for you back in Asgard.
“Thor, I thought you knew where she was?” Natasha mumbled, her eyes droopy as Wanda caressed her creased forehead. It was seven in the morning and not one of them had a minute of sleep nor rest. All eyes were then set on the god, who was sipping his protein shake Bucky introduced him to.
“We did. One of our fine prodigy in Asgard saw her in our famous market back at home.” Thor grinned, thinking of Asgard once again who was now being ruled by him and his brother Loki. “So, we sent out all of our armies to look for Lady Eviana, but alas- we could never find her widow of darkness. Father said that maybe we were wrong and thought her for someone else.” Thor continued his story, it was the nth time he actually told that but Natasha just needed to hear it again-something for her to believe in, so she can continue to help on looking for you, for her to stop the voices in her mind, lurking and telling her that you were really gone. The thought made her wince, remove Wanda’s hand and heading to her room- ignoring Tony’s call and Clint who followed her right after.
“She’s not gone, Nat.”
“You don’t know that Clint. We don’t. Not…Not anymore.”
