anonymous whispered a line ; sexuality headcanons ( accepting ) 13. are they openly flirtatious/sexual, or are they quite private?

CHARLIE is definitely openly flirtatious, but probably privately sexual. open sexual content does not bother her, typically, although strangers of any kind coming on sexually strong is very awkward. but she herself would likely keep that to the bedroom, or very quiet whispers.

EMILY is pretty tame, i think she's a bit of a mirror to charlie, except that sexual content probably makes her more uncomfortable than charlie. she's very vanilla, certainly inexperienced, && her flirting would be very romantic && innocent, no doubt about it.

LILITH is incredibly open, both ways, && will actively come on to anyone she deems attractive. obviously, within some reason, of course. she loves lust, she doesn't shy away from it at all, but she would be romantically driven with those things more privately. risque in public, sweet in private.

VOX is very openly flirty && sexual, although what he's saying depends on the person. he's very likely to say things with the intent of flustering, or bothering, depending on the person. he doesn't hesitate to respond in kind if you say something off the wall.

LUTE is pretty closed off with that. she doesn't lean very heavily into either, rolls her eyes at anything she sees like that. would call it disgusting, if anyone said something to her, even if she didn't actually mind. privately, though, she's a real menace sexually. probably doesn't flirt well, though.

OZZIE is heavily open with both, there's absolutely nothing off limits to say publicly, will say it to just about anyone unless you've pissed him off. he enjoys the reactions he gets, even if his offers of sorts aren't very serious. unless?

STRIKER is very much unwilling to publicly engage in much flirting or acting sexual openly. there'd have to be a specific dynamic that might be able to draw it out of him, but otherwise, he prefers not to. he could be decent with it in private, but getting there is harder with him.

DANIEL depends on the people he's around. if you yourself are very openly flirtatious or sexual, he will easily return that. if you are more private, then he will respect that, && responds with the same energy. he's much more moldable than my others, will very much do whatever makes someone comfortable. he might drop a line to see what the energy is, && then figure it out from there!

OMORI - Voice Actor Headcanons.

While I haven’t exactly finished this game yet, I am close enough to the end and have met basically all the characters, so I think it’s time I got around to doing my good ol’ series of VA headcanons for a game that either doesn’t have one, or doesn’t have an English Dub.

This time we’re doing Omori, a game I started playing at the beginning of this year and have fallen in love with very very quickly. I’ve been through a very painful time of my life recently and this game helped me work through it letting me know that it doesn’t matter how I grieve, just that any way I can is correct. 

And the way the characters work together in the game is also incredible, and I was eagerly awaiting to get to the point that I’m at so I could do a VA headcanons section for this. So before we get started, let me once again go two things.

This is NOT CANON. These are HEADCANONS and are unofficial. It’s just a hypothetical situation. If the characters were voiced, this is who I imagine would voice them.

Every major character in the games is included here, so there are HEAVY SPOILERS for the game’s main storylines. DO NOT READ THIS POST IF YOU HAVE NOT PLAYED THE GAME OR DON’T WANT TO BE SPOILED.

AHHH i’m just a chronic rambler so i always end up writing way more than i plan to but no it’s not at any cost to me!! it actually makes me happy to see smth i’ve written getting to be a high word count hehe. the only ‘cost’ ig would be that it takes a bit longer before i can post but as long as you all are willing to wait i don’t mind writing lots (plus then i feel less bad about randomly disappearing and taking writing breaks because i’ve left a lot to be enjoyed LMAO)

SO MUCH STUFF AND NONE OF IT WAS ELABORATED ON!! and yeah even legit criticism or analysis gets put down as hate and people jump on people who do that when they’re just examining the story with a constructive lens. i agree that interviews absolutely should not be how you convey key info!! especially because they’re SO unreliable and so easy to twist. like people will make up a headcanon and say that the author said it in an interview and it’ll become so popular that everyone accepts it as fact even though there’s no source for it and it literally never happened?? i can’t think of specific examples but i know this happened a LOTT with the attack on titan fandom back in the day and i’m sure it happens w jjk as well.

YES I AGREE sae has like established himself almost?? he’s not striving for anything anymore and he’s been recognized by some of the best strikers in the world (ex luna from the world 5) + he’s a ng11 so it just feels to me like he’s kinda relaxing?? he has the time to think about other things just not the motivation/will, but it’s easier to write him gaining an interest in someone than justifying rin giving up on the pursuit of his goal for another person. i also really like to write love interests that are down BAD (or end up being so anyways) which would make sense w sae being lonely in a foreign country more than rin who would prioritize soccer over everything (as he did in cherry tree when he told y/n to come back to him after the world cup or smth like that iirc)

I DID SEE KARASU!! one thing abt pxg vs bm he’s been having a panel or two per chapter which has been rlly nice. we got to see his smirky little icon at least?? i miss tabieita being together and karasu being a jackass though…forever heartbroken that nagireo got to be the headliners or a team instead of tabieita…MISSED OPPORTUNITY 😭💔

i think it was probably not one at a time — there were probs multiple fields, but i doubt they had 300 that they could use so everyone could go at once!! they probably had like 10 (arbitrary number) and as people were finishing other people would enter, so someone like kiyora might’ve just entered in an earlier round than karasu, who probably waited a bit to feel out the situation or smth. shidou was probably too busy being up to random nonsense to go early which is why he was like 111 despite being bllk’s number 2 😭

FEATURING: itoshi sae!

he was so heartbroken leaving you in japan all by your lonesome, but you reassured him that it was okay, since his biggest dream was to become the world’s best midfielder

plus, his family absolutely adored you, so you wouldn’t be completely deprived of the itoshis!

they’ll always invite you over for dinner or take you out to lunch, snapping tons of pictures and facetiming sae all the while

he really misses you all, but it makes him happy to see you getting along so well with his family; learning how to knit with his mom, cooking dinner with his dad, heck, even rin eventually warmed up to you

he felt so lucky that the love of his life was such a welcoming, warm-hearted person

and it gave him motivation to train harder than he had ever trained before, nearly seven thousand miles away

he gets a private room in his housing area, so after a long, hard day of tireless training, practicing, and drills, he loves nothing more than taking a hot, hard-earned shower, flopping onto his bed, and video calling his one and only girlfriend

you talk his ear off about your day, what you did, what you ate, where you went, you name it

and sae listens intently all the while, cherishing the feeling of seeing you through the screen, talking and gesturing animatedly

he can’t stop the smile from spreading on his face; he just adores you so much, and he aches to come home to you, to sleep with you in his arms once again

you finally allow him to talk about his day, and he just nonchalantly says things like, “i played a 3v3 against some of the top strikers in the league... i beat them 4-0.”

you gape at the camera in awe, jaw on the floor with your eyes shaped like saucers

he notices and just chuckles warmly, adoring how you were his own personal cheerleader

the two of you exchange a lot of “i miss yous” and “i love you.. no i love you more!” back and forth, until you’re both laughing and prodding the other to hang up first

“sae, just hang up already!” “mmm, no... you can hang up first. i’m sleeping with you on the other end if you don’t hang up.” “fine then! we’ll both sleep on call, how’s that?” “sounds good to me.”

the last thing you see before you drift off to sleep is sae displayed on your phone screen, lying on his side, eyes half-lidded with sleep and affection, mouthing the words “i love you”.

summary: the avengers spend a week at football camp to work on team bonding

pairing: peter parker x avenger!reader

a/n: while i’m working on a fic that is waaay overdue, here’s a little headcanon that is also my not-so-subtle excuse to gush about football while sprinkling on some crack <3 enjoy!

* * *

tony comes up with this brilliant idea of sending the avengers to a makeshift football camp for some much-needed team bonding

because the only time the team ever operates together is when tony kicks them out of their beds at the crack of dawn and bribes them with pancakes

steve rogers, co-dad to this dysfunctional family, is wary but very, very thrilled

he gets a whole pack of disposable cameras and immediately starts snapping pictures of everyone before the trip even begins. he does it for no apparent reason, he just likes to toe the line between life and death

there are at least five pictures of nat threatening to choke him with fuzzy socks and clint hisses at him until steve is too uncomfortable and leaves

there are also a few photos of peter and y/n wrestling over hoodies and it’s so stupidly adorable that tony sends y/n away to finish packing because he’s “too young for grandchildren”

“what makes you think you’ll be their grandpa?” “i put a roof on your head and this is the thanks i get?” “you would spoil them to the bone” “and there’s something wrong with that?”

peter lets the bickering go on for a while because he secretly loves it but tony gets pettier with every second

“fine, i don’t want it anymore. let one of the other psychos play grandpa.” “mr. stark, we didn’t even want children in the first place” “exCUSE ME—” “we’re 16?? we’re literally toddlers???”

the night before they leave, clint dreams that he forgets his arrows and that’s how bruce finds him in the kitchen at three o’clock in the morning, sharpening his arrows in dead silence

thor and loki are already waiting at the camp, and everyone has the complete and utter joy of watching thor bear hug tony while y/n fist-bumps loki

loki acts like it’s above him, but y/n swears there is a faint smile on his face before he turns away

they’ve barely set foot on the pitch before they realise, “okay. so…we’re decent at saving the world, but it does not mean we’re good at football, huh”

like, they’re technically capable of kicking around a ball, but their inability to work as a team really shines through when they’re supposed to score an actual goal…or come anywhere near it

nobody really knows how bucky ends up being main striker, but it quickly turns out to be the worst idea possible

“i swear to god, if you kick that ball into the woods ONE MORE TIME” *three seconds later the ball flies in a high arc into the woods*

sam, throwing his kit at him: “every day you wake up and choose VIOLENCE—” *peter rolls off the bench, wheezing*

they do improve though. it’s slow and painful to watch and they still get their asses kicked more than they would like, but they’re getting…somewhere

the avengers also learn that peter LOVES to run. as it turns out, he actually does it for Fun™️

when steve announces they’re doing sprint/footwork drills in mixed team groups, the avengers groan but peter is literally bouncing on the balls of his feet

the drill starts and peter is nimbly leaving them all in the dust

(this is the boy who does agility ladder exercises in his sleep)

(his calves are made of Steel™️)

it doesn’t help either that the penalty for losing a scrimmage is running laps around the absolutely MASSIVE forest

they don’t know which is worse: running while thor sings unintelligible asgardian folk songs, or having to deal with loki’s wrath over running

steve and peter are done before anyone else and they like to sit on one of the tree trunks right by the path to irritate encourage everyone

“your footwork is really improving clint!! yesterday you fell and almost knocked your teeth out!!!” “i’m going to knock YOUR teeth out if you don’t—” “oh WOW nat!!! i think you’re actually faster than clint—”

*cue clint zooming past them*

but it’s not only that! tony, who is a billionaire and sweats money, has another brilliant idea and forces the team to camp outside in the cold to bond over s’mores and bonfires. and it works!

by day three, it becomes an unspoken rule that everyone huddles around the bonfire in the evening to sulk, eat s’mores, and scheme tony’s death. he would be offended but they’re actually doing something together, so tony supports it

and they grow fond of football too! even if no one likes to admit it

sam and steve in particular are going crazy because they’re trying to out-striker each other while also trying to be more collaborative strikers to improve their offense line

bucky is in the goal now and puts in a decent amount of effort the whole time, but he decides to keep things ~interesting~ by randomly becoming an absolute nightmare in goal with no warning nor reason

this makes it extra fun for the rest of the team, to say the least

tony is in the other goal and it is genuinely the funniest thing you’ve ever seen. nat keeps kicking the ball into the upper right corner of the goal since tony can’t reach it and it’s pure evil

“someone give the poor man a ladder, it’s like watching a puppy being tortured” “f*ck you, banner” “that’s not very team-bonding of you”

peter ends up playing midfield and y/n is supposed to defend him, but they just end up poking each other. their poking war quickly turns into a “friendly” body checking competition and it is…so scary

at one point, y/n creeps up on peter like a raccoon and tackles him to the ground, and they both end up rolling around in the dirt, screaming: “SWORDS AT DAWN“

the others just stand by with no intention of breaking them apart

loki and nat get along surprisingly well?? no one really expected that friendship to happen but they’re not suicidal enough to interfere so they just watch them talk about different dagger sizes

one day, they all decide to take a day off to go to the lake

everybody is unbelievably sore but they manage to bob around in the water and bucky may or may not have fallen asleep in a donut floatie

halfway through the camp, bruce surprises them with freshly picked apples and they split them to share with each other even though they could each have a whole one :)

on the last day, steve decides to do something fun, so they have little scrimmages against each other

loki and nat insist on staying together because they’re now a Package Deal™️ and they wreak havoc on every offensive line they encounter

nat, flashing a genuine smile: “it was fun playing with you, loki! we should do this again some time“

loki, voice cracking: “fine”

bucky and tony are goalkeepers in one match and at one point, bucky tries to slam a ball all the way over to tony and he catches it perfectly and tony has honestly never felt more accomplished

sam drops back to try playing defence with thor and they’re being very vocal with each other, very communicative and efficient, but eventually it just turns into half-screaming and half-laughing

bruce tries playing winger, and he never wants to do that again

at the end, tony surprises them with a barbecue which is exciting because food

tony is a mediocre cook at best, but he’s really good when it comes to grilling, so he teaches peter the basics

on the bus ride home, loki writes all about it in his journal (something he learned from y/n) and nat sneaks a glance to see the last bullet point is simply “good week”

Lena, who would be drift compatible in a pacific rim AU?

Hmmm, good question! I don’t think I’ve ever done a Pacific Rim AU post, so let me give it a try (all Shepherds work in the Jaeger program):

Blade: a powerful but vengeful and brooding Jaeger pilot who’s known for being one of the few pilots to solo-fly a Jaeger for several missions. Has refused to take on a co-pilot since his older brother (his first co-pilot) was killed beside him in battle. Known for using lightning/plasma attacks, making him popular with the public--however, he refuses to appear in any public-facing PR campaigns, preferring only to fight and kill kaiju. 1st Jaeger: Coyote Lightning

Trouble: a reckless and headstrong hotshot pilot known for having a death wish and zero fear of kaiju. He was born into a family of Jaeger pilots and is eager to make his name distinct from his father’s, who is a veteran war hero of the First Contact Wars. His Jaeger is specially equipped with more explosive weapons than most. He was voted to have the best smile among the Jaeger pilots for three years in a row. 1st Jaeger: Atlas Striker

Tallys: a solemn and no-nonsense pilot known for her refusal to employ flash and cool maneuvers in battle, and for her refusal to join the celebrity culture surrounding Jaeger pilots. Few know this, but her family was killed by kaiju during the First Contact Wars and she joined the program out of revenge. She is motivated solely by bloodthirst for kaiju, and her Jaeger employs long-range attacks, making her an effective defensive pilot. 1st Jaeger: Echo Hydra

Shery: like Mako Mori, she is the daughter of the current director of the Jaeger program and therefore relegated to secretarial and administrative duties only. In the academy, she became known for her abilities to drift with almost any partner; however, she freezes in combat situations until she is paired during an emergency crisis with Riel, whose ruthless determination forces her into action.

Riel: a scientist and financier of the Jaeger program, he uses his vast wealth and expertise to work to develop better and more efficient technology (and weapons) for the Jaegers. He knows every Jaeger’s components from top to bottom and would be an extremely efficient and tactical pilot, but is adamantly a non-combatant until the kaiju attack the outpost he’s staying in, necessitating his becoming a sudden pilot alongside Shery as a last resort. 

Chase: a former thief/criminal who had his prison sentence commuted in exchange for becoming a Jaeger pilot. He was initially forced to fly solo because other pilots didn’t trust him and thought he would either run during battle or would refuse to put himself in danger to save innocents. However, he is one of the most popular “Jaeger Idols” in the public eye, earning fans everywhere with his sense of flash, fashion, and flair. He pilots as if he has a death wish, and his Jaeger has two blades installed into its forearms. 1st Jaeger: Lucky Corsair

Red: initially a scientist and academic who wanted to study kaiju behavior and the Breach from which they came, he was eventually recruited to the Jaeger pilot program due to his excellent combat abilities and due to the wishes of his friends, Pan and Neon, who became their own drift-partners. He is working with Riel to develop technology to allow Jaegers to either become invisible or to teleport very short distances. The prototype of this technology has led to the development of his signature move in battle, the Flashstep. 1st Jaeger: Garnet Dawn

Ayla: a headstrong pilot initially known for deviating from orders, she was also known for developing friction with her partners, leading to a never-ending roulette of pilots who would join up with her and then quit shortly afterwards. She is famous for a technique in which she spins her Jaeger at such velocities that she creates devastating whirlwind attacks. It’s rumored that she was trained in a secret Jaeger facility in a foreign country and later defected, leading to supposed assassination attempts by rival government agents. She always carries a bo staff with her in the Jaeger outpost, even in the canteen. 1st Jaeger: Cyclone Banshee

Halek: one of the first-ever Jaeger pilots, he initially flew and fought with his twin, Naolin, as his co-pilot. However, their many fights took a toll on Naolin’s body, leading to him retiring from the program. However, Halek continues to fly (even to the detriment of his own body) in order to avoid returning to civilian life, where an arranged marriage to a wealthy socialite awaits him. Thus, he is desperate to take on any partner, leading to... well, you’ll see down below. 1st Jaeger: Willow Titan

Briony: one of the most resilient and powerful Jaeger pilots to exist, she is known for fighting so effectively that she can push her body past the limits of most other Jaeger pilots. Her signature move is a superpowered punch that can send a kaiju flying more than a mile away. She performs body slams, punches, kicks, and whirling chain sword attacks with her Jaeger. However, she can have trouble controlling her own strength and momentum, a flaw little-known to the public until the strength of her will accidentally overrode her co-pilot and wreaked massive damage on a city she was protecting. As a result, she has become hesitant and fearful of her own piloting, as well as afraid to fly with others. 1st Jaeger: Valiant Orion 

Lavinet: a surprise Jaeger pilot and former model, she is the heiress to a massive construction empire: her father is in charge of building the Pacific Wall, a last-ditch effort by humanity to protect the coastlines from the invading kaiju. Although she could live in peace in one of the few safe zones left on Earth, she has  decided to throw her hat in the ring and become a Jaeger pilot, attracting media attention and fan adoration everywhere. Due to her father’s fortune and massive donations, her Jaeger is one of the fastest and sleekest to exist. To the horror of her superiors, she ordered her warmachine to be painted in pink and lavender. 1st Jaeger: Wildcat Renegade

Croelle: a Jaeger pilot who professes to only be in it for the money. Despite his selfish attitude and mysterious background, he is one of the most skilled and powerful pilots in the program, allowing him to stay on despite his loud insistence that kaiju will ultimately destroy the world. Few can manage to pilot with him for more than a few weeks due to his utter lack of respect for others. However, he proves his valor while running am (ultimately unsuccessful) mission to destroy the Breach, earning him a medal and a promotion to being the liaison between pilots and the people who run the Jaeger program. 1st Jaeger: Crimson Rogue

MC: idk who they would fly with, but my headcanon is that they would be a new pilot of mysterious origins who turns out to be able to communicate with and/or control the kaiju. Turns out they were developed in a secret genetic lab to be the first-ever human-kaiju DNA hybrid!!! And they have mutant superpowers as a result!!!

Drift Partners:

Blade-Briony: It turns out Blade’s total sense of control and dominating precision is a good match for Briony’s chaotic and uncontrolled power; her bubbly and almost indomitable determination also thaws his aggressive solitude and stoicism. Their Jaeger is named Coyote Sakura and its signature attack is charging a chain sword with plasma lightning and launching an all-out flurry of superpowered moves!

Tallys-Lavinet: Despite an extremely rocky beginning, these two mature and tactical pilots form a well-coordinated team focusing on long-range defense and rescue, with Lavinet handling close-quarters combat and Tallys handling ranged attacks. Despite their extremely different backgrounds, their measured ways of thinking and steely determination give them a lot of common ground. Their Jaeger is named Lattice Electra and its signature attack is throwing a huge Jaeger lance that is strapped to its back, spearing two kaiju at once!

Trouble-Chase: Trouble is the only pilot fearless enough, reckless enough, and daredevil enough to take on Chase as a partner without caring about his criminal background and reputation. Together, the two of them have a balanced mix of bravery and evaluation, although they are also both impulsive enough to completely disregard orders, leading to a friendship for the ages. Their Jaeger is called Spitfire Eden and specializes both in blades, fisticuffs, and guns!

Red-Ayla: Red is patient and well-mannered enough to tame Ayla’s brash temper and abrasiveness, forming a powerful and balanced team that becomes known as one of the fastest-moving Jaegers in the program. With Red’s speed and ability to teleport, paired with Ayla’s agility and wind attacks, their Jaeger is named Whirlwind Dawn, and they are often called in to rescue or defend the coastline. 

Halek-Croelle: Although Halek is initially paired with Tallys, his general passivity and laziness chafes against her thirst for revenge. He floats from partner to partner, eventually being informed that the next partner will be his last before he is ejected from the program. To his horror and dismay, he is paired with Croelle, and they get on like cats and dogs. However, Croelle’s utter lack of fear and pleasure in violence activates Halek’s berserk battle-rage, causing them to become an extremely formidable (if violent and unpredictable) team. Their Jaeger is named Redmoon Danger, and they are only called in as a last resort, as they will not stop fighting until every kaiju in the area is dead. 

Riel-Shery: The kaiju discover the Jaeger outpost in which the team resides, developing a two-pronged plan that requires keeping all of the active Jaegers away from base and preoccupied in battle. In the meantime, more kaiju attack the outpost base, threatening to destroy all of the superiors who run the Jaeger program, as well as all of the non-pilot personnel who reside on the base. Left with no fighters and reinforcements and faced with no other option, Riel and Shery climb into a Jaeger under repair, becoming pilots when they drift together for the first time. They manage to repel the Jaeger attack single-handedly and later join the team without academy training, meaning they are only deployed as a plan B. Their Jaeger is named Fox Spirit Rho and is known for its excellent analysis capabilities, targeting a kaiju’s weak spots and deploying a swarm of drones to help attack while the Jaeger fires powerful laser-cutter beams usually used in the construction of rockets.

So I was just rewatching episode 3 and we've all seen how Blitz reacts to Loona getting what seems to be her first crush around him with Vortet. How would Striker react? He's not as loud as Blitz is and he's more level headed so would it be something subtle like "Yeah I'm from the wrath ring you tend to pick up some interesting skills down there. For example I can make a a stallion into a gelding in about 30 seconds flat" (not a realistic time but who says it has to be if he's trying to intimidate someone)

Or is he trying to reel Blitz back in like "Darlin I know your worried but our little pup has to grow up sometime and when that happens we have to be confident that we did a good enough job raisin her that she'll be smart about this."

Honestly--and I don't know if this is cheating or not but hopefully this is still an acceptable answer to this--my personal headcanon is that Striker does BOTH. :D

When Loona first starts showing an interest in Vortex, Blitz of course is the first to notice and the first to react: and he does so loudly. There's no mistaking exactly what he thinks about this with the way his lips curl to show his teeth as he lets out a low growl, and there's absolutely nothing subtle about the way he storms right in between the two hellhounds and starts telling Vortex off to his face [at least as much as he can with their height difference]. However, it doesn't take longer than about a second before Blitz feels a hand take his arm and carefully draw him away, his furious expression gone in a blink of surprise and confusion, only to look up to find Striker looking at him with a slightly raised eyebrow and a gentle kind of knowing on his face.

"Darlin',” he begins in that deep, low rumble of a voice, his tail soundlessly finding Blitz’s and flicking up along its side in a caress.  “Come on, now, they were just talkin’.....”

“Yeah, well “just talkin’“ LEADS TO HPV!” Blitz’s voice rose to a shout as he turned his head back to yell across the hall at Vortex--only to find himself being drawn in flush against his partner’s chest.  “What?  You know that talking can lead to all kinds of shit!  WE started off just talking!!”

“Well we turned out alright don’t ya think?”  Striker asked with a smooth little smile, affectionately slipping an arm around Blitz’s waist and caressing just along the narrow bones of his hip.  “An’ before ya start freakin’ out on me, I’m not sayin’ that they’re gonna end up like us--or that they should end up like us.  All I’m sayin’ is that it ain’t gotta be the end of the world if Loona wants ta get t’know the guy.  She hasn’t had the free time ta meet a lot of people lately with how many jobs we’ve been takin’ on, and if he’s gonna be in the office next door for a bit anyway, I don’t see any harm in lettin’ her get ta know him if she wants ta.”  He shifted his gaze from Blitz to instead let his eyes flick over to Loona, catching her watching them with a skeptical yet curious expression on her face.  “Besides,” he continued, meeting her gaze directly as he spoke.  “Our Loona pup’s got a good head on her shoulders, and she’s smart as hell.  I don’t think we got all that much to worry about with her.” 

Loona’s face softened as a light tint of pink rose in her cheeks, her eyes quickly averting as she tried to pretend like she was too cool to be affected in any way by her step-dad’s praise.  Blitz, however, let hmself openly show just how much he was affected by Striker’s words, whatever protective aggression there still was in his face completely melting away as he too looked over at their daughter.....and felt his heart strings tug.  

“.....You’re right,” he said quietly after a minute, causing Loona’s ears to peark up as she snapped her head back to stare at him.  “Loonie knows what she’s doing.....and she should have more people to talk to here at the office than just us and Millie and for fuck's sake Moxxie.”  He let out a small sigh, but followed it up with a small smile as he watched Loona’s eyes brighten in surprise.  “It’s okay.”  

It seemed to take her a minute to process what she just heard him say, but when it finally sunk in, that brightness lit up her entire face.  She couldn’t help but return the smile, her tail giving a light swish behind her as she hesitated--but finally quietly mumbled out: “.....Thanks, Dad.”  

That of course had Blitz lighting up like a flash of lightning, but before he could ruin the touching moment between them by flinging his arms around her, they were interrupted by the sound of their office phone ringing.

“Oh--hey, I’ll get that,” Loona said quickly, turning back to Vortex quickly as she offered, “Meet up downstairs for lunch?” and, when she got the affirmative from him, hurried off into the office to take the call.  

“C’mon Darlin’, we got a job ta get ready for,” Striker said with a soft kiss to Blitz’s forehead, guiding him back towards the office after Loona.  “Let’s go see if we got another one for today, huh?”  

He opened the door for his mate and motioned for him to head in first, pausing in following after as Vortex took a slight step towards him.

“Hey man, I just wanted to say thank you for what you did just there,” Vortex smiled, his shoulders relaxing now that it was just the two of them in the hallway. “I think it’s really cool of you to trust her to stand on her own two feet like that.  And I appreciate that you didn’t freak out on me like the other guy did.”  

Striker closed the door to the office instead of walking through and leaned himself up comfortably against it, lifting his shoulders in a casual shrug as a smirk spread slowly across his face.  “Yeah, well, Blitz and Loona both grew up here in Pride, so ya can’t really blame him for wantin’ ta make sure that hers stayed in tact.  I’m from the Wrath ring myself, an’ we handle things a little bit different there.”

“Oh yeah?” Vortex asked, his head tilting a little.  “How so?”

“Well for one thing, we’re raised ta treat other people with respect because we know just where that’s gonna land your ass if ya don’t,” Striker answered smoothly, his tail flicking in an upward arch as it softly began to rattle.  “And for another thing.....we learned that there’s no point wastin’ energy on yellin’ at your problems when you can just kill ‘em instead.  An’ y’know, I gotta say that after learnin’ that, the number of problems in my life got cut down by a hell of a lot.”  His smile grew to a full grin, his eyes glinting with a fierce brilliance that had Vortex shifting just a half step back.  “Now I haven’t got much in the way of any problems at all.....except for maybe just one.”  

His tail rattling spiked to a louder, threatening pitch.  

“N-no, no Sir,” Vortex quickly assured as he took another full step back, holding up his hands assuringly as he glanced back behind him to Verosika’s office door.  “No problems here, just wanting to have a nice, respectful conversation with your daughter and maybe meet up with her this afternoon for lunch.  If that’s okay with you, Sir.”  

“Ah so you do know that word,” Striker’s lips twisted pleasantly as he pushed himself off from the door, unfolding his arms from his chest as he took a slow step forward.  “Good ta hear.  I expect from now on ta hear you usin’ it the next time you address my mate.  An’ as for havin’ lunch with Loona, that’s entirely up ta her--but I trust that it won’t be a problem either way.”  

“No, n-no problems!” Vortex reassured as his back hit the closed door behind him, giving him a small start as his hand frantically searched for the door handle.  “I’ll just go ahead and, um, head back to work now and maybe check back in with Loona closer to time.”  He finally managed to find the knob and turn it, rushing into the office with a hurried, “Nice meeting you!” before slamming the door shut behind him.  

Not two seconds after he did so, the door to I.M.P. cracked open as Blitz stuck his head out into the hall, shooting Striker a questioning look at seeing him just standing out there all by himself facing Verosika’s studio door.  

“Hey, is there a problem out here?” Blitz asked with a small frown, reflexively searching for any signs of his ex and her bullshit attitude.  

“Nah,” Striker replied as he finally turned away to instead head back to their own office, his tail once more finding and twining together with Blitz’s.  “No problems here.”

The Harvest Moon Festival episode review

Though a bit late here are my thoughts on Helluva Boss episode 5. Beware of spoilers and opinions. Long post warning is in effect.

Moxxie is no longer surprised of Blitzo getting into his and Millie’s apartment XD

Besides how its awesome that we get to see Millie’s parents so early in the series, I TOTALLY called them being farmers ! Lets see if any of my other headcanons about Millie’s family are true.

Millie having to remind her folks who Moxxie is makes me wonder how long she and Moxxie have been married.

There goes my “Millie’s parents likes Moxxie” prediction and of course they like Blitzo more then him.

Were Millie parent’s soldiers ? If so what war did they fight in ?

You can tell during Stolas’s speech that the imps do not like how they are important to feeding the people of Hell yet are still treated like crap by everyone. I strangely feel like this is hinting at some future plot point where imps will go on strike or maybe rebel against the higher ups.

Its kinda funny seeing Stolas using opera glasses to see Blitzo mud wrestling.

Stolas IS a ditz if he thinks telling people he likes Blitzo won’t get Stella mad at him if she finds out. I guess this confirms that things are really bad between him and Stella. Kind of a bummer but oh well.

Stella wants Stolas dead holy crap ! I guess she was more heartbroken about the affair then we thought. On a separate note is this enough to confirm that she did like Stolas a bit before he cheated on her ?

Of course Stolas didn’t hear his wife’s plan to kill him, what a ditz unless she been yelling so much since episode 2 that he’s tone her out.

Looks like Striker’s pistol is another heaven gun.

That was a good episode, we learned more about Millie and her family and that ending came out of nowhere, however it did have its problems like I personally didn’t think we needed another villain for I.M.P to worry about so soon and I feel like the time they used on Striker should have been used to show more interaction between Moxxie and his parents in law and siblings in law as besides that ones with Millie’s parents and Sallie May we didn’t see Moxxie interact with anyone else in the family.

I also would have liked to have seen some scenes of Stolas and Stella interacting considering there past history is STILL a big mystery. At least now with Stella trying to kill Stolas we can finally get more interaction between the two and learn about said past. Though I said I’m ok if they don’t make amends, I’m strangely still hoping they could try working things out between them somehow, I mean it would be interesting to see the two interact about something that doesn’t involve Stella being angry or about Stolas trying to hang out with Blitzo.

Though a bit off topic since others have talked about this, I also want to talk about a why I believe that Striker at some point will try and kill Stella. The main reason is that is that it fits with his character and I could see that after killing Stolas he would kill Stella next since she would likely have her guard down and it would mean he would get rid of one more higher up, especially one that was really rude to him. It would also be interesting for Stella as it would be cosmic payback for trying to kill her husband and maybe it leads to something else but ill get to that in a minute.

Strangely I can see a Stolas X Stella moment coming out of this. After Striker “kills” Stolas and gets his reward from Stella, he shoots Stella and goes on a rant on how she acts so high and mighty but really she isn’t better then anyone else. Stella would try and stop him but is to weak but luckily before Striker can kill her, a wounded Stolas appears. He fights Striker and though Stolas gets shot again, Stolas is able to kill Striker before the wounds hit in. A confused Stella wonders why he saved her after she tried to get him killed, and Stolas responds saying that though he may have cheated on her and they fight a lot he still cares about her and Octavia. Maybe after apologizing for cheating on her and other things he could have done to her, Stella realizes how much of an asshole she was due to her anger and also apologizes wishing to take it back, but luckily Stolas doesn’t die and maybe after some time the two are glad that things are ok which could give us a moment hinting that they will try and work out all of the tension between them. This could lead to those love triangle story ideas I posted on my DA account.

Having Octavia in there would also lead to an interesting moment as while confronting her mom about getting her dad killed, she becomes another target for Striker but like before Stolas comes and saves his family and we get a scene of the family starting to talk things out and hugging, as its hinted that they will start to mend the broken bonds between them.

Game Start! Of Swords and Stars: Heart Thief

Oh, I haven't fixed up that old cabinet in a while. I remember when those thieves were still running about... It was great for business! I even managed to get good old Atticus over there to dress up. Anyway, I'll fix that right up for you.

(I've been replayin Persona Strikers lately to get better at performing button combos, and just kinda bouncing in between that and Genshin. Thus, the seed of "what if a handful of genshin charas were phantom thieves?" was planted in my brain and now we are here. Please do remember that this is my own personal headcanons, so they may feel OOC. These specific characters were chosen by my friends on discord! If you'd like to see more, let me know which ones! They also don't have to be Genshin specific, they can also be from the other two fandoms I write for. This was quite fun to write, so I may end up writing more anyway lmao.)

I'll Steal Your Heart! (Genshin Headcanons for Diluc, Xiao, Zhongli, and Tartaglia)

Content Warnings: If you are unaware what an evoker is and are sensitive to things that relate to suicide, I don't recommend looking it up or playing Persona 3, as it this item is very common ingame. Out of Context spoilers for Persona 3, 4, 5, Royal, and Strikers. I'll try to keep it brief so anyone who's interested in these games won't get too spoiled or understand certain details. Minor spoilers for each Character's story as well! Plus, this takes place in a sort of Modern Au/setting. Crackish maybe?

Diluc:

It's no secret to those who know him that Mondstadt's very own Darknight hero suffers from a lot of inner demons. Mostly relating to his past.

Diluc would most likely fit into a group like the Phantom Thieves, since they start off more as allies and confidants than friends. Not to say he isn't one to enjoy making friends, but if he were getting involved in this whole Metaverse/Shadow World/Tartarus nonsense I think he'd prefer this approach.

Before we figure out a Persona, let's figure out his Arcana! These are based on the major arcana of the typical tarot card deck. Now, while I'm tempted to say Diluc would suit the Moon Arcana(purely because him and Persona 5's Moon Confidant share a Eng VA), but I believe he'd share more traits with the Emperor or Justice Arcanas. I know it seems a bit obvious, but I feel he shares the most traits with these ones. He's very much a stoic type who has a strong sense of justice, but also has a bit of an air of male leadership about him. For this, let's go with the Justice Arcana.

I couldn't really see him being a Wild Card, so we'd need to figure out a singular Persona for him. If we're speaking in terms of Personas that are sprinkled throughout the game and are non-character specific, I could see him summoning Uriel. He might be a Pyro vision user, but he does also suit someone who would use Bless based skills well. Let's just imagine he's used some skill cards for an Agidyne(A strong fire skill). Plus, Uriel as a figure does kind of suit him since he's almost always depicted with a flaming sword.

But, if it were to be a character specific Persona, Robin Hood would definitely suit him! Minus the whole Loki thing. He's already pretty much a Robin Hood type of guy anyway.

His weapon would still probably be a Claymore or at least a two-handed sword. More likely the latter, for concealment purposes. As for artilleries, I feel like he'd be more one for the classic handgun type of thing. Something easy to take out in a flash and hide. He would have to keep it on his person in the Real World after all, since his team can't just teleport their weapons to the Metaverse.

Since he'd be a Phantom Thief, he needs an outfit and codename! Definitely has a very bird-like theme to it, maybe a cape that looks very much like a pair of wings. A dark brown hawk-like sort of costume, that doesn't reveal a lot of details about the person in any way. Has a hood as well. His mask would be quite ornate, considering his background, and matches the bird like aesthetic. As for a codename: Hawk or maybe Eagle? Something like that.

Following a more Persona 5 based plotline, he'd have his awakening triggered in a way that relates to his father's demise. Maybe even in the palace of his father's killer?. His father was probably studying the Metaverse prior to his death, and was killed for reasons unknown to his sons.

Xiao:

Xiao, Xiao, Xiao.

I feel he'd actually suit a more Persona 3 styled plotline, rather than the more upbeat later games. Not to say that they aren't dark in their own way, but the whole theme of this specific installment is Death.

This would mean he'd be a member of SEES in one way or another, be it by choice or force. I mean, what else is there to do when everyone you know turns into a damn coffin at the stroke of a specific hour at night and there's shadows out there waiting to kill you. Being in Tartarus with people who can watch your back would be a lot better than wandering in there on your own anyway. He does feel awkward about having to stay in the women's dormitory building though.

The evoker is not something he enjoys using. He knows he technically has to use it to summon his Persona, but it's not likely he'll get over how uncomfortable it makes him feel when using it.

Let's talk Arcanas! Since I already explained this in Diluc's part, I'll just carry on. Now, I could see him with the Hermit or Hanged Man Arcanas. He's a very standoffish type of person and a bit of a recluse, but he is also quite a self-sacrificial person. Since the latter more relates to those in a more transitional stage in life, let's go with the Hermit Arcana. (I also just realized this is the one right after Justice jfolsfisjlsd)

So, time to pick a Persona. While I was tempted to go with Kurama Tengu, I feel that he'd actually suit Sudama quite well! Aside from their mischievous nature, they're lurking souls who watch over people. This one is also one that would match his vision, since Sudama can learn Garu skills!(Wind skills)

In terms of one's used by specific characters, Prometheus may be a good fit! While this would make him become a purely support character, unless we're talking about the one from Persona 2, the story of Prometheus does suit him a little, purely for his connection to humanity. Not to mention the whole eternal punishment thing.

Weapon wise, he'd still probably use a spear. Since the Dark Hour happens at a certain time and only those who can use Personas aren't turned into coffins, he doesn't really have to worry about being caught walking around with such a large weapon.

He doesn't need really much in the ways of outfits or secrecy, everyone he's fighting alongside already knows him anyway. He'll just wear the typical school uniform.

Zhongli:

Listen, even if he wasn't a Persona-user he'd still probably live in Inaba rather than any of the other settings of other games. Old man fits in quite well in the rural town, filled with Mom and Pop shops(aside from Junes) and where everyone knows everyone. So, he'd probably go with a Persona 4 style plotline.

He'd probably end up being a teacher at the high school, History specifically. Rest in peace to that one lady with the Pharaoh mask. Likely close with the protagonist before the whole incident that gives him a Persona, checking in on them and making sure that the protag is keeping up in his class. Perhaps even a social link scene of four of him helping them study.

Zhongli would also fit right in with a close friends sort of plot. Let this old man be happy. Or at least, as happy as one can be when solving murders.

So, that means he'd be on Television for an interview about the school or something to do with his personal life. Television interviewers just seem to love interviewing people on the days before it rains, huh?

With having a Persona in this specific installment comes the need to also have and accept your Shadow self. To put it simply, your Shadow self is the side of you that you hide away from others, another sort of inner demon situation. He'd also have his own stylized dungeon, to fit the aforementioned shadow. His shadow would likely be tied in with guilt and trauma, maybe about a war, and themed after the battlefield or a garden that has to do with Guizhong, full of lilies of many varieties. Or both, there's been stranger dungeons so it wouldn't surprise me.

Now that he's accepted his inner demons and what not, it's Arcana time. Zhongli would have to be either the Hierophant or Sun Arcana. He's very much a wise man and is a guiding figure, but also he's probably not in the best situation in his life, which is why he had a Shadow in the first place. Let's go with the Hierophant!

Listen. There is no way I cannot make his Persona Kohryu. This specific Persona just screams Rex Lapis. He'd probably need a little bit of a debuff, in order to be on the same power level as the main party. Though, he'd probably be a later game character anyway, maybe the second to last or last member of the team. There isn't really much of a Geo equivalent for skills, so Psi skills and support skills are a decent match.

I know he's a spear user, but I could see him using a bow as well. Himself and the rest of the investigation team are cramming their weapons into a TV screen in a busy shopping mall after all.

He doesn't really have a school uniform, so he'd just go in there with either whatever he wore to school to teach in or his casual clothes. Maybe if you ask him sweetly enough he'll dress up in the goofy costumes you buy.

Tartaglia:

Persona 5 style plotline. Definitely Persona 5 styled. Not to mention, unlike Diluc I could see him having a palace.

Also one to prefer a whole no strings attached confidants sort of relationship. Maybe even a rivalry with the protagonist.

Remember the whole shadow selves explanation? Yeah, that sort of thing returns here. Except, instead of Dungeons, it's a Palace. I'll explain more in a moment.

So, back on track, I could see him having a sort of a certain traitor's role. Not that he'd be actively hunting you down, but the rest of that character's role to the story.

He'd be an assistant to the Big Bad, so probably some version of the Fatui. Perhaps a spy of sorts who reports back to them. He's also probably been to the Metaverse long before the Phantom Thieves even get there, and you know. Well, he does the thing that happens when you happen to off someone's shadow self rather than just stealing their treasure, or is at least an accomplice. :)

Rather than "mysteriously disappearing", I could see him having a full redemption arc where that doesn't happen. The protag might end up with a new roomie, probably one better than just a talking cat.

Arcana time! Now, as much as I wanna say maybe the Fool, Devil, or Jester, I actually feel like he fits the Strength Arcana! He's a very strong individual, both physically and emotionally. Tartaglia isn't one to be easily shaken in either meaning of the word.

As for Personas, that's a tricky one. I ended up settling on Siegfried for this one though. All that gold and no joy from it? Sounds like Tartaglia to me personally. As much as I'd love to give him a Narwhal Persona, I don't think there is any. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Now, as for weapons, he'd probably go with something he's better with, so probably not a bow. Maybe a dagger or one-handed sword? And for a gun, maybe a crossbow actually.

Time for a costume and codename! Maybe some form of attire that resembles a knight or a dnd type rogue? A touch of subtle theming around the ocean perhaps. His mask would either be similar to his actual one from Genshin, or one on the simpler side that covers a big portion of his face. For a codename, maybe something simple like Blue or something relating to his outfit like just calling him Rogue. Or just Childe, like his actual alias. Not to say that Tartaglia isn't also a false name, since Ajax is technically his birth name.

Palace time! While he'd likely have his Persona awakening long before his palace comes up in the story, it would probably be something that ties into his redemption arc. The real world location you'd have to travel to would be either his home or the place where the Big Bad is hiding away at. The way it is designed is likely themed around some form of childhood trauma that has to do with his distorted desires. I could see his shadow self actually just being himself as a young child, who just wants his family to be happy. Maybe some sort of castle in the sky or a sort of fantasy type location.

I would like to start this response with the fact that I do not believe anyone is being intentionally harmful in their race head cannons, simply that people tend to follow Fanon blindly and I believe people should not do that, and remember Fanon is only Fanon and we should make our own ideas and stray from the pack more often.

Okay, my thoughts on common race headcanons for the foxes and how they are often accidentally racist:

I know @bloodydamnit has spoken up about this before, but people specifically portraying Seth as black falls into a lot of unhealthy anti-black stereotypes of black men, especially the lack of development people tend to give him. She has written him and deconstructed these issues from her perspective and me a non-black person don’t think I could ever achieve such a thing and therefore do not headcanon him or will write him as black.

I personally headcanon him as hard Vietnamese and half white and made a long post about him before, I love Seth.

Matt and Dan are also often written as black, this isn’t inherently problematic necessarily, but it does often overlook the issue that people see this likely because of Matt’s history with drugs and Dan’s sex work playing into anti-black stereotypes without a tally going into race theory or redlining or any of the following issues in a way that gives them any development.

I like to headcanon Matt as Filipino, his straight hair is perfect for spiking, and dan as 75% black and 25% Oceti Sakowin (commonly known as Sioux), I want to write about how her leaving the reservation was a big deal for her, especially at the 25% mark which means if she is with anyone who isn’t of the same tribe her kids would not be considered a part of the tribe since the US minimum to register is 25% and this was part of her hesitance to be with Matt as well as other pressures. I like to think the baby her aunt had in the EC she ends up adopting from the foster system and that baby is 75% Oceti Sakowin and Matt is super excited to learn about their traditions and bring in both indigenous Filipino culture that he got disconnected with as well as Oceti Sakowin culture that she got disconnected with into their lives with their unexpected kid.

Renee is often headcanoned as Asian, but typically just generally Asian without nuance or explanation and also this plays into the passivity stereotype of Asian women. I headcanon her has African American, with very dark skin and Stephanie Walker was the first black foster mom she had and they hit it off really well, also Renees hair is a wig, no one can bleach their hair to white that’s just… it melts before it does that usually.

Again I’m not saying Renee can’t be Asian, It can be done right and written well, but overall I think it’s important for people to remember why they headcanon things and not accept Fanon blindly. Fanon often plays into harmful ideas. While people of color don’t have to have a reason for being people of color, I think it’s important to notice why you think charters who aren’t described at all are whatever race you headcanon and think critically. Our cultures and races make us experience the world in a certain way that contributes to who we are outside of blanket diversity, and it is important to think about that.

I often see people saying they headcanon Womack as Native American to make him having the tribal tattoos “unracist”, and to make Nora not racist, but Nora wasn’t being racist by saying Womack has tribal tattoos, Womack having shitty Tates in tattoos, which faux tribal was a huge cultural staple despite how cringe it is from the 90’s to mid 2000’s in America. It’s important also to not just say Native American but to do research on specific groups because each culture is unique and different.

That being said, I bounce back between Wymack just being some 70’s looking dad with cut off shorts to Maori where the swirl tattoos are very significant, and Kevin is white-passing but discovered he’s not white like he thought he was, and becomes an AOA history major (Africa, Oceana, Americas, aka indigenous history major).

Also considering Neil and Allison are supposed to be significantly attractive I don’t like them being white because of that, so I headcanon Allison as half middle eastern, (or maybe Indian I have more research to do before I decide), she was told she was adopted as a kid and often her mom would buy her whitening cremes like fair and lovely as a kid, but later found some papers when she was older finding out her dad actually got a woman pregnant and to keep her quiet took Allison and pretended he was such a good philanthropist and adopted a brown kid. She has a lot of problems with this, and bleaches her hair blond to try and fit in with her family without even realizing it. She never finds out who her birth mom is

I am a bit annoyed at white fans constantly calling Nora racist, while also using the lightest skinned headcanons every time for black characters playing into colorism and Spanish Nickys instead of darker toned people. Also, I think people should really try to critically think about their own ideas before calling out someone else. Do I think Nora is perfectly woke? No, no one is, but Fanon is just as bad but in a different way. There is a lot of colorism I see in both headcanon photos people use for the foxes as well as people tending to draw looser curls and thinner noses for characters they headcanon as black. Not every black person is half white and darker-skinned rep is very important. I’ve also seen people use Reece king as a Nicky face claim before and I wasn’t even surprised.

I've also seen people almost always have Erik be “Aryan” some even using the word to describe him unironically, and as a Jewish person this obviously doesn’t sit right with me. I would like to see less straight passing blond haired blue eyed taller than Nicky Erik sometimes.

Again I’m not calling anyone racist, I just think that people should go outside Fanon and think of their own ideas on who they want the characters to be in their headcanons and why. I'm tiers of the same 4 Instagram model photos being used for every Aftg edit, the same light-skinned Dan’s, Matt’s, and Nicky’s. Also while I’m at it, add some body diversity, they’re athletes all playing different positions, I think all the defense players are at least chubby if not plus size. Aaron, Andrew, and Renee are all fat and proud, Nicky and Matt are bulkier with their bodies good for blocking, while Seth is an awkward string bean, an offensive striker who can slip through people quickly despite his height.

Again I know discussions about race can be tense, I am not trying to sound like I am attacking anybody, and I'm not calling out anyone in particular, I didn't even touch on how nicky is written in fanon or canon and how it can often be both racist and homophobic coming from my prospective as a gay latino.

He has no formal training in any weapon so he’s mostly hand to hand but as the spades journey he slowly gains proficiency in the rapier and pistols.

His mask sometimes slips off but he doesn’t always notice so crew members will either gently put it back in place for him (Ace) or slap at his face to make him put it back on (everyone else)

he’s a former rich boy and is constantly like “how much can a banana cost? Two hundred belli?” and Ace, who has never paid for anything in his life, is like sounds legit, while Mihar takes them both and teaches them about Real Money Adult Pirates Deal With, which means Deuce deals with Ace’s wallet from here on out.

Deuce is fantastic at gambling until the very last moment where he always does the worst thing possible. He blames Ace and his naming abilities, but eventually learns to team up with Ace, who only gets lucky at the end, and destroy everyone else.

Skull has a copy of Brag Men. Deuce talks with him about it sometimes.

Theres only Two People who Deuce respects on this ship and its Ace and Kotatsu who don’t fucking laugh at his writing. Banshee’s okay but she criticizes his metaphors.

All of Deuce and Ace’s heart to heart conversations happen at Sunset just as when they first talked post Devil Fruit Eating.

He didn’t want to be the Spades doctor. He was done with medical shit, he was a pirate writer now, not some nurse, but after the third time Ace nearly bled out due to his own stupidity Deuce started grabbing medical books at the islands they visited.

Deuce buys books at every island they visit, and helps Mihar (SOMETIMES) with his lessons - usually Aggie helps, but Aggie’s a bit scary for kids and kids like his mask so! Deuce helps it is.

Benn Beckman is Deuce’s favorite person in the entire world because he is the only one who knows how to deal With Stupid Stupid Captains (Who you may be a bit in love with.) 

Deuce leads the charge to get Ace back with the WB’s kidnap him and keeps on trying to get to Ace before finally running into him and making sure he’s okay.

The Rose is Deuce’s calling card (see his design, theres a rose on his pants or something like it) and it became so because he put a rose in Ace’s hair one day and had to back track because he couldn’t tell Ace he gave him the rose or ace would have feelings.

Deuce is the only Spade who knows about Ace’s dad and he always intervenes when the Spades talk about Roger.

I can’t remember if Ace had his tattoo before he set sail but if not, Deuce got a tat with him, a spade on his right shoulder, wreathed in fire. Ace cried.

Deuce writes back to his family only once and attached is his bounty. They write back, but the letter never reaches Deuce. 

Deuce is a crappy swimmer but still tries to get Ace out of the water. He fails. Cornelia usally does it, cause She’s Cool Like That.

Deuce hides away on the Spadille sometimes to just read some Brag Men when everything gets too much. 

For his birthday, the crew gets him a visual denden so he can take pictures of the places he goes to write about later. he would be touched if they also didnt smash his face into the cake.

His favorite food is pineapples. 

He is the only other person brave enough to go on Striker with Ace because he helped built it.

Deuce helps keep the Spadille together until they get a shipwright. 

The crew seems to have personal or paired cabins on the spadille so Deuce bunks with Ace. 

He hates his offical epitheth and wished he got a cool name like Fire Fist Ace. 

deuce dies at marineford 

Post-marineford, Deuce tries to track down the mera mera no mi so he can have it, like he would have if he had taken the first bite. instead, he finds sabo and they cry together.

Deuce is terrified of chickens which is revealed when Ace thinks its a great idea to bring chickens onto the spadille for an endless supply of eggs. Its horrible. Deuce cries.

💕HAPPY FANFIC WRITER APPRECIATION DAY TO ALL YOU AMAZING PEOPLE💕

Sometimes I daydream about writing a fic. Even get as far as opening up a Word document and trying to start. I don’t ever get much further though. Reality soon hits that I don’t have the talent to turn my jumbled thoughts into something that people would want to read. To take the skeleton of an idea and flesh it into something beautiful requires something special. Being able to write- to tell stories that hook people in and make them feel- is an art form....

It takes a lot of courage to put your work out there for others to read- to show a little bit of your soul, to allow people the room to criticise as well as praise. Courage that I will never have. But I have so much respect and love for people who do share what they write for all of us to enjoy.

I’ve read fanfic for a few fandoms in my time, and the Ballum fandom has some truly gifted writers. Something for everyone. I haven’t had a lot of time to read fic over the past few months. Lockdown life has been more hectic than ever- time off has been rare. A big THANK YOU to everyone who has kept writing during this very weird time for the world. You are all a big part of the reason this fandom is still going strong. It can’t have been easy between whatever you may have been going through personally these past few months, and the lack of engagement from fandom. If I could buy you all a drink (socially distanced of course) I would.

THANK YOU ALL FOR PAINTING THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PICTURES. Full of light and shade, colour and depth. One thing you all seem to have in common is the fact that you question the talent that you have- some of you are so unsure of what you can do, so doubtful of how you make people feel. Sure! This one will be a bit quicker since I got to sleep soon.

*I don’t know what King Mom did back in her youth, but clearly she did not miss a chance to lift weights. There’s a point in the game where she’s carrying a scared King Pridemoor. Perhaps lifting AND holding her child (let’s face it, all the way to his adult years) over the years has given her excellent physical strength.

*It was impromptu how the Wandering Travelers met and functioned as a group. Reize, Baz, Phantom Striker, and Mr. Hat just happened to be in the same road when they were ambushed by a sea of Liquid Samurai, leftovers from the Enchantress. Battle they did and along with it, rest.

They intended to part ways the next day, but found it functional to travel together. Striker’s idea. He was keen on defeating the remaining pieces of the Enchantress and with his age catching up to him, he decided safety in numbers. All of them were eager to join, Reize because he wanted to be a good hero, Baz because it was yet another group he could belong in, and Mr. Hat because there were still hats to be found.

Striker was more or less the leader, though he largely kept it discreet. Reize often took on a “Take Charge” personality as you’d expect of a rambunctious fourteen-year-old. He was the one giving the Power of Friendship speeches, always cheering that they as a band were undefeated because they had each other and a pure spirit, etc. How could Striker take that away from the child? So he’d chuckle and wave his arm, “Lead on, my boy.”

Though he was the youngest, the Wandering Travelers didn’t really have to babysit Reize as much as they thought. Oh, he jumped head first and often misinterpret people’s intent. He was young and naive, with much to learn (and taught the three did for the boy), but he was largely independent and took cared of himself. Really, it was BAZ they had to keep an eye on.

At some point or another, they just became a group. Their weren’t always together - sometimes they split up because they had their own goals to achieve - but they’d reunite daily and more adventures were to be had.

*Mr. Hat is likely the strongest being in existence. Who is he? I don’t know. I think it’s better and funnier NOT knowing what this guy is. He may or may not be mortal, but he is a being of mystery and high strangeness. As long as he has a singular hat on his head, he can absorb that person’s abilities and perhaps a bit of their memories. Living in a world filled with hat-wearers means he has a variety to work with.

The world is so lucky that Hat’s only defining obsession is to obtain as many hats as possible. If he had any awareness of just how powerful he is and what he could do with it, then maybe the Valley would have more to fear than even the Enchantress herself...

*The Enchantress would have done more - might have even won and successfully taken over the world - if she did had possessed someone who was weak-willed. She unfortunately took over Shield Knight, a woman of strong conviction and determination. Shield Knight knew she was trapped, but for the longest time, not sure why. She just knew she had to fight and keep on fighting. Whenever Shield Knight felt something was off, she acted accordingly. This frustrated the Enchantress to no end who, damning of all, felt a tinge of emotion from this mortal that sometimes stayed her hand. Moments of rare hesitation and decision making have sabotaged her plan because she chose Shield Knight and it angered her.

*Luan was an excellent thief and he was very excellent because he learned from his misguided youth. So he could only look amused when he caught a young thief - perhaps no more than sixteen, certainly a teenager - trying to steal the very same item he was. And poorly at that. Oh, he had vast potential, but he lacked subtlety. This kid was flashy and prone to mocking his opponents openly as he pilfered.

When the two were forced to work together, Luan immediately lend a guiding hand, “We need to cooperate if we’re going to get out of this mess.” But the boy would have none of it, “I can get out just fine! Besides, you are the one who had the gall to take what I was trying to steal!”“Who are you?” Luan asked.“None of your business.”

Luan chuckled, then with a swiftness the younger thief could not see, he made off with his wallet.

“Thieves would do better than to carry their own identity,” Luan peeked inside, gave off a mild look of surprise, then gently smiled, “Ahh, I see.”The boy screeched, “How did you swipe that so fast?”Luan simply grinned, “You’re talented kid, and fast, But I’m quicker. The youth sighed.

“First things first, what do you call yourself?”The thief grinned, even if Luan couldn’t see it in his helmet. He crossed his arms and boldly declared, “I am Propeller Knight, up and coming sky pirate! And don’t you forget it!”

*Reize didn’t quite get what his father meant when he first told him his mother would no longer “return.” She’s gone forever and it would just be the two of them. Reize didn’t understand. Sometimes mommy would go away for a while, but she’d always come back. This confused the poor tyke. At four-years-old, Reize would at best, wait until she came back, optimistically declaring she was off on another adventure. At worst, he’d cry in bed, kicking and screaming, wailing to his father on his mother’s whereabouts.

Shortly after, he came. The man in the blue cape. The man was silent and kept to himself. And yet he was just as boisterous and prideful. He carried an air of aggression that frightened the boy.

Reize did not like that man.

Why was daddy friends with him? And yet the Blue Caped Man did not harm him. Sure, their interaction were minimum to begin with (Reize got the impression the man actively avoided him), but why would such an Angry Man not want to hurt him? He though all Angry People were bad people. Maybe this man isn’t so bad?

Reize approached the Blue-Caped Man one day while the latter was dining alone. He stood on his toes as he grabbed the edge of the table and still only barely saw the top. Reize said nothing until the Blue-Caped Man spotted him.

“...Yes?”Reize said nothing, suddenly terrified.

“Well, out with it?”Reize gasped, then fiddled with his fingers, “umm.. uh...”“Child, if you cannot speak, how will you get anywhere?” The man asked him, sternly, but with a pleasing gentleness Reize never picked up on him before.

“...Um...are you....are you my mommy?”

“Excuse me? Where. Where did you get that idea?” The man asked, confused.

“um well because um mommy goes away a lot. because she has adventure but she always comes back. but then mommy went away for a long time and daddy said she’s not coming back anymore, but mommy always comes back and maybe this time she came back differently. maybe she came back as you. ...so are you my new mommy?”

The Blue-Caped Man stared with a look both aghast and pity. He placed a hand on his head and stuttered, “I- no. I’m not. I’m not your mother.”

“Then...are you a new dad? Another daddy?”

Donovan finally lowered his harsh gaze. He got up from his chair and went on one knee so he was at the child’s level. With a look of sympathy, the Blue-Caped Man placed a hand on Reize’s shoulder.

“I’m not your father. ...But I am going to live here with you and your father, so you can come to me for anything. I will protect you.”

Reize wasn’t afraid anymore.

EARLY YEARS;

Ethan Wood was born and raised to do one thing and one thing only: play soccer. Being the middle child of legendary University of North Carolina starting forward Olivier Wood and renowned athleisure wear designer Daphne Wood, there was only one path for this budding young soccer prodigy. And it was to follow in daddy’s footsteps donning the prestigious Carolina blue and white of his father’s alma mater. 

His childhood was pleasant, raised on his family’s estate in the coveted Eight and filled with family getaways and father/son trips to UNC/Wake Forest rivalry matches. Matches that he hoped to one day play in. Young Ethan was a natural talent and he picked up the game rather quickly, spending every free moment practicing in the yard or scribbling down strategies. He wanted nothing more than to make his father proud and carry on his legacy. 

HIGH SCHOOL;

Ethan was sent to one of the finest private schools on the island that money could buy. Of course, he wasn’t there for his grades and what he lacked in brains, his skills on the field made up for. He made varsity soccer his freshman year and then went on to become captain during his senior year, reveling in all the perks that came with being a star athlete: parties, hookups, popularity. As Ethan’s athletic abilities along with his ego continued to grow, so did his competitive edge, arrogance, and hot temper which is known for getting him into trouble on and off the pitch. He’s no stranger to an alcohol induced bawl and struggles to keep his temper under control. 

COLLEGE;

It’s no secret that in the OBX money talks and Mr. Wood had deep pockets. A library donation and a legacy later, Ethan finally realized his dream and secured a spot on his beloved UNC soccer team. His temper being the reason for the trouble in the first place. It didn’t take long for him to become the frat star worthy of his reputation. Sure, he had to overcome those pesky freshman years, team hazing, and locker room banter, even spending the half a season on the bench for his hot headed temper. Nonetheless, he managed to make a name for himself even if slightly tarnished.

SEASON 1; 

Fresh off his college graduation, Ethan returned to the Outer Banks with his sights set on playing professional soccer in the upcoming season. Before entering the real world in the fall, he joined the show for one last hurrah and boy did he get what he signed up for. The summer was filled with all sorts of shenanigans, parties, booze, and hook-ups. 

Ethan rounded out the first season of OBX rather unscathed, save for a secret hook-up and an unlikely friendship that he formed with a pogue. He gained some notoriety from the show and it was a perfect launch for his new life in the public eye.  

SEASON 2; 

Ethan started footy training in the fall after the reality show ended, and he played for Inter Miami FC, a team owned by David Beckham himself. He took up residence in Miami for the soccer season and traveled the country with his team becoming the soccer star he always wanted to be. His rookie season was one for the books, and if you thought his ego couldn’t get any bigger, check again. 

In his off time, Ethan maintained his growing popularity by making appearances at all the Miami hot spots and keeping up a rather impressive social media presence, constantly posting his fitness routines and workouts in addition to his nights out. This earned him a reputation off the pitch, and his name managed to find its way into the local papers and magazines. He did his best to keep in touch with his friends from the show despite his busy schedule, and even visited the OBX whenever he could. 

With his first professional soccer season in the books, Ethan returned to the reality show for another summer, much to his PR team’s dismay who was working to clean up with reputation, not add to it. It was another summer filled with partying, booze, and messing around. A well deserved celebration after a triumphant soccer season. Ethan grew closer with his housemates and even started forming stronger connections with some of them as family, friends, or more. 

POST SEASON 2;

High off another successful season of Outer Banks, Ethan went back to Miami with a newfound air of confidence about him and an extra pep in his step. He worked and trained twice as hard, determined to play even better than last year. He managed to  keep up his scoring average and earned ‘man of the match’ in several games. Ethan spent less time in the OBX, but instead invited his buddies to come matches and come visit whenever he got the chance. He loved to preform and there was something about having the cast around that made him play even better. 

With only a handful of games left, Ethan suffered an injury that cut his season short. He tore his MCL and spent the months leading up to the summer recovering and going to physical therapy in Miami. His PR team advised him against returning to the show to focus on getting in shape for the upcoming season, but Ethan couldn’t pass up the opportunity to spend the summer in Australia with his crew. 

POGUES VS KOOKS;

Ethan got into his fair share of Pogues vs Kooks scuffles back in high school. Nights filled with stupid boyish banter, booze, and blows. He likes to think he’s above all the rivalry now— playing pro ball and all—  but sometimes he still struggles to truly let go of the past and be the bigger person. He’s an athlete though and though, and rivalries are all just a part of the game.

HEADCANONS;

Despite the ever present confident air about him, Ethan is super generous especially when it comes to nights out and tipping. He is always happy to pick up the tab and doll out rounds of shots for him and his buddies at no charge. As selfish as he can be sometimes, he loves it when his friends are having a good time and is a firm believer in the more the merrier.

To help him keep his tempter on and off the pitch under control, Ethan got into boxing/mma and incorporates it into his workouts whenever he can. He can be found either going to a gym to practice his upper cuts or on beach working on them on his own. He does it mostly for fun, but every now and again finds himself having to throw down. 

For the most part, Ethan can’t really cook, but on the off chance he’s not sneaking out after a one night stand, he makes a killer breakfast, usually in his boxers.

He has secret love for astronomy and mythology particularly hero myths and the stories behind the constellations. Growing up, he always found them fascinating and was the only one of his brothers who would actually sit and listen to his grandfather babble on about them. Those were some of his most cherished memories, and he often celebrates his goals by blowing a kiss to the heavens to dedicate them the ol’ man. 

Moana is his absolute favorite Disney movie, and he will never say no to watching it. He also thinks Maui is the shit and knows all of the words to “You’re Welcome” by heart. Beware, he will actually belt it out if asked.

WANTED CONNECTIONS;

let’s make ‘em jealous; There’s no denying that Ethan and this person have chemistry. They are super flirty and all over each other, but in reality it’s all a rouse. They aren’t really into one another and are merely using each other to stir up some drama, cause a scene, and make the ones that really do catch their eyes jealous.  [OPEN]

the role model; Ethan didn’t really have many positive role models to look up to growing up, mainly just his father and his toxic masculinity. This person helps Ethan balance all that out and helps him deal with all those pesky emotions he was taught to keep suppressed inside in order to “be a man.” This person also keeps him in check and isn’t afraid to give him a much needed smack to the upside of the head when necessary. the rival; To say Ethan is competitive is the understatement of the century, and he and this person have a rivalry for the ages. The two don’t like each other and this person never fails to get under Ethan’s skin. It could have even started back in school and carried over to now. Perhaps the reason Ethan had some trouble getting into UNC for soccer? Bonus points if they have to put all their differences aside and work together at some point for a common goal. [OPEN]

the hook-ups; Ethan really isn’t the type to stick around after a hook-up and is usually out before the sun comes up, never wanting to get attached. If anyone wants to give him a much deserved slap upside the head or just wants to keep things casual and flirty, let me know! [OPEN]

the real bros; for those looking for a second muse, Ethan has two brothers xD. Julian and Damian (names can totally change! I just headcannon them all ending in -an) He has one older brother who rejected the athlete/UNC/kook life leaving Ethan with the pressure to fill daddy’s soccer boots. They had a fall out and their relationship is shaky at best. Ethan also has a baby bro who he is definitely closer with. They get on rather typically through harmless banter and school boy shenanigans. He also has an innate protectiveness over him because he is older. [OPEN]
