okay so like, first day of classes i walk into my ethics class and when the professor walks in i'm like "okay he's pretty nerdy. kinda what i expect a young philosophy professor to be like"

and today, in class, i came to the slow realization when looking at his outfit that he REMINDS ME OF LASKO MOORE WHICH IS WHY I LIKE HIM SO MUCH LIKE-

Buck wanted to nothing more than to pull Eddie into his embrace, hold him close and never let him go again. 15 years of loving someone from a distance was more than enough. But when Shannon introduced herself to him, he smiled kindly at her, a smile that never quite reached his eyes and he felt his heart being ripped open and torn into a million new pieces.

And as soon as Shannon had introduced herself, Buck felt so goddamn out of place and even downright stupid for believing that he and Eddie could ever have a shot at love again. It didn’t help that she was dominating the conversation for a few minutes until she slipped away again, leaving Buck and Eddie alone again, standing a mere two feet apart but still it felt like they were a world away from each other.

“She seems nice” Buck said as he glanced in Shannon’s direction, watching her tug a dark brown curl behind her ear as she spoke to someone that Buck recognized from his and Eddie’s history class.

Eddie rubbed his neck, shifting his weight as he stood in front of Buck and he exhaled deeply. “She is, she’s a good person, she’s a good mom” Eddie explained like it was the most logical thing in the world to him.

“Right” Buck had to fight every fiber of his being to not roll his eyes to the back of his head. Not because he didn’t believe that Shannon wasn’t a good person or a good mom. But because he hated seeing Eddie with a woman. Because he hated seeing Eddie with someone else period. “Well, this has been fun. I need a drink” Buck added, without letting Eddie get a word in as he walked past him, letting their shoulders brush together and suddenly he was 17 years old again, fighting to keep his hands off of Eddie in public, fighting every urge to not cup his stupidly perfect face and kiss him silly in front of everyone.

He pushed those thoughts away as he made his way to the bar and he leaned over the counter slightly, trying to get the bartenders attention, thinking that he was alone. Or at least out of sight from Eddie. He couldn’t do this. Not sober at least.

“You kept it” Eddie’s voice came from behind him and it took him a moment to realize what he meant. In his weak attempt to get the bartenders attention, his necklace had slipped out from his shirt, revealing the black ring that he normally kept hidden. The ring that Eddie had given him on his 18th birthday all while making a promise that one day he’d replace it an engagement ring. Well, that didn’t happen.

Without answering, Buck tugged his necklace away again, hiding it away from the world just like he’d done with his and Eddie’s relationship for years before they finally broke up when they went off to college.

“Evan” Eddie said in a tone that sounded all too familiar. It’s the same that he had used when he wanted Buck to express what was on his mind.

“You don’t-…you don’t get to call me that anymore” Buck turned to face Eddie, staring into those perfect brown eyes, all while trying to not lose his composure as he took in the beauty of the man in front of him. He had missed so much of Eddie’s life. Eddie had aged so amazingly and Buck hated that all he could see when he looked at Eddie, was all the promises that he was never able to keep.

“Look, I’m sorry-…”

“You’re about 15 years too late with that one, Eddie. And I-I-I” Buck stammered, taking a shaky breath. “I still wear this because unlike you, I keep my promises. But I’m glad you’re happy, I am” The words tasted like poison on his lips and he hated it. “Please just… just leave me alone. I can’t do this with you”

and now i’ve decided to lay out the premise here for you. i don’t have it in me to write a proper ficlet so i’m pretty much just copypasting my tags and elaborating a tiny bit. 

working tite: let him eat cake dick moves au

Fratboy Buck has sucked his fair share of dick - he is, after all, in a frat - but Tommy is the first guy attached to said dick that Buck really likes hanging out with. So he gets annoyed when Tommy ghosts him after the dick sucking because: what the hell? He thought they were becoming friends. 

Meanwhile, Tommy is trying desperately to shove himself back in the closet after the illadvised dick sucking, trying to refit that veil of denial that he's been living under his whole life. He's freaking out on the inside but playing it stony and unaffected on the outside. But things come to a head when Buck finally manages to corner him after Tommy had successfully dodged him for days. 

Tommy manages to keep his composure as he claims he doesn’t even remember what happened that night because he was drunk, and then carries on his way, leaving a confused Buck in his wake who is pretty sure there’s no way they drank enough to blackout Tommy’s memory. But rather than come to the conclusion that Tommy is gay and trying to hide it, Buck just gets annoyed at the rejection of his friendship.

Tommy ends up trashing his painting studio after their interaction. He would never hurt Buck, but he will self-sabotage his chances at happiness: like a cute boy, and his painting aspirations.  

A few days later, Buck gets high or drunk or both and decides to send what he thinks is the perfect reminder for Tommy of what happened between them, and it will also let Tommy know that he doesn’t appreciate being ignored: it’s a white-frosted cake with the words don’t ignore me i sucked your dick piped onto it. He figures it will get him a conversation if nothing else. Luckily Tommy doesn't live in a frathouse so he doesn’t have an audience when he opens the cake to find Buck’s message, but Buck wasn’t thinking that far ahead. 

The thing is: Tommy has had a few days to calm down and re-evaluate things. Enough time to realise he actually likes Buck and before the whole fratty dick-sucking practice thing he actually got the feeling they could be friends. And he could really use a proper friend, because Sal is off partying more often than not and they’ve kind of drifted apart since arriving at college together. 

The short of it is: Buck sobered up and realised his cake message was probably a bad idea (and by ‘realised’ he means Eddie pointed it out) and he expected Tommy to slash the tyres of his jeep or show up on his doorstep and lay him out with one punch because the guy has biceps as big as Buck’s head. Tommy does show up on Buck’s doorstep, but just to talk and he reminds Buck of one of the reasons he liked him in the first place: he’s not like all the frat bros Buck currently lives with; he’s different. Tommy apologises for ignoring him and wants to put the whole thing behind them and start fresh hoping they could hang out sometime. 

And that second chance leads to a budding new friendship, which is what they both wanted. All the while, Tommy carries on living in the closet. After a month, Tommy realises he likes buck - and by that point he's not freaking out so much about his sexuality because he's met Karen and Michael, but he’s still in the closet. 

Meanwhile, Buck is still a clueless bisexual - until he starts getting jealous of his best friend Eddie hanging out with his new friend Tommy. He finds out Tommy is going to be at Eddie’s basketball practice so he weasles in on the game (because neither of them bothered to invite him, which was rude; just because he was a football star in college doesn’t mean he’s not interested in basketball; he’s interested in all sports, he has a great appreciation for athleticism). He ends up using too much of his strength to knock Eddie on his ass and he feels like shit for hurting his friend who will have to skip the team’s next game, and he also hates himself for being so needy. 

He avoids Eddie. And Tommy. And hates himself for a few days, until Tommy shows up beside his jeep after class wanting to talk. Buck is surprised when Tommy is the one who apologises for getting between him and Eddie— Buck has to stop him right there. It was his own poor behaviour, his jealousy to blame. Tommy reveals his own jealousy: that he’s jealous of Buck’s close friendship with Eddie and wishes he had a ride-or-die friend like that, but he’s not trying to steal him. 

And Buck points out that he wasn’t jealous of Tommy. He was jealous of Eddie. Because the two of them seem to have more in common than Buck does with Tommy, and he thought Tommy was going to give up on his new friendship with Buck because he found someone better. Tommy assures him that’s not the case. And Buck doesn’t know when they came to be standing so close, but he starts rambling about how he’s been trying to get Tommy’s attention— 

And Tommy kisses him.

And Buck. 

Buck kisses him back. 

Oh. 

OH. 

Buck likes kissing Tommy? He likes kissing a guy? He thought he was just good at the cock-sucking facet of frat life, but. Huh. And Tommy kissed him. He wanted to kiss Buck. 

Tommy doesn’t stick around. And Buck is left standing by his jeep for a few minutes while his brain reboots. 

Tommy knows for certain now: he has feelings for Buck. Fuck. But.. Buck kissed him back, he didn’t imagine that, so. Maybe.. maybe, what? 

The next time they see each other is in the company of their friends so neither of them bring up the kiss, but they find out they’ll both be at the post-game bonfire later. 

Tommy has been at the bonfire for an hour with no sign of Buck. Sal is well on his way to getting wasted and he keeps trying to get Tommy to join in with his meathead friends. But Tommy’s not interested, and he’s been nursing the same beer this whole time. Then he sees Buck, finally, past the fireline. 

Buck is nervous. He’s never— this is all new to him. But he’s looking forward to seeing Tommy, to talking about what happened. He hasn’t figured it all out yet, but he knows he wants to be in Tommy’s space for reasons he didn’t know about before. Like kissing. He wants to kiss Tommy again. And go from there. 

He thinks he spies Tommy over by the fire— but his view is blocked suddenly by a girl he vaguely recognises from a past hookup who is clearly a few red cups into the night and is all up in his space, flirty and handsy, but Buck isn’t interested, and by the time he manages to untangle her and get a look over by the fire, Tommy is nowwhere to be seen. Damn, maybe it wasn’t him. Eddie and Chim have a great night while Buck spends most of it looking for Tommy. He recognises Tommy’s friend Sal and asks if he’s seen Tommy, and even though the guy is wasted he sobers enough to tell Buck that Tommy left. Buck doesn’t stick around after that. 

Tommy heads back to his dorm feeling like an idiot. Buck likes women. And maybe guys (but that’s not his place to say), but not Tommy. It’s better this way. He doesn’t know what he was thinking. He wasn’t thinking. He knows he can’t play off the kiss as a drunken mistake, knows Buck now knows he likes guys, and just hopes he won’t hate Tommy for sober kissing him. Hello, August... 🏫🎒 It's been a rough and depressing month for me from nothing to earn funds for myself, to struggling with my life staying at home. 😟😞 Although I do occasionally go outside to get some fresh air when the sun is bright, it remains the same. 😔 I'm still stuck on my mom's slow-performance laptop, and I can't make item reviews because of the aforementioned laptop. 👩💻 Meanwhile, I'm still browsing some job openings, though the only problem was the "lack of trustworthy". I did apply once and I was going to go anyway, however, my mom investigated the details of where the venue at for a schedule, and it turns out that the job that I applied for was a sham... Yeah, I dodged the bullet on going there owning to my flashbacks of what happened in 2019. *Sigh* So much for that... 😟 I wish this type of fraud job would be ended by the time the government and authorities caught red-handed on fake application jobs. Right now, I've already applied for a job by submitting a resume to legit hiring via email, and to this day nobody answered my call. I'm still a helper for my parents' small rug business, although they didn't give me a raise, but small treats and food. Also, I'm selling my scrap computer parts, unfortunately, nobody seemed to be interested in my items... Bummer. 😔

• What I have here is my first ever cheap Android Smartphone after I graduated from vocational college [Computer Programing] in 2014. 👨‍🎓🏫💻 This here is the "Cherry Mobile Jelly". 🤖📱 Actually, it's now simply called "Cherry" which we'll get to that later. Nonetheless, I bought this cheap and small smartphone for ₱ 2,299 💵 from a local trustworthy cellular phone store at the mall, I should it picked the blue color because I loved that color for life 💙, although it is out of stock so I guess I'll settle with green anyway. 🟩📱🤷‍♀️ (After all, green signifies an android phone, right? 🟩🤖📲 Nonetheless...) As for the specs of this phone, it is pretty low-profile standard considering that this is a budget-friendly smartphone. Here, go see it by click here → [CLICK ME! #1]. Unfortunately, as you can see, my first cheap smartphone ended in 2015 due to poor quality, as I accidentally fell off my phone numerous times causing it to crack the touch screen (not to mention, the battery phone had bloated.), and my Jelly phone ended its life. It was only a matter of time before my old phone was replaced by the outdated "Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2" [GT-S7582] (which was also decommissioned somewhere in 2019). As for the so-called "Cherry" brand, they're still producing smartphones albeit a small ranges because they've already expanded to daily electronic appliances (e.g. slim smart TV, washing machine, air purifier, etc...). One more thing, the only feature really I missed from using the old Cherry Mobile Jelly is the ability to watch TV by raising the mini antenna and opening the TV app, as you've seen on my snapshot. 📺📲😊

You noticed the BIG difference. 📱📲 To be honest, I missed holding a small Android smartphone, as holding it could be a very advantage (which is like holding an old MP4 player) over a tall and bulky smartphone, like my aforementioned Tecno mobile brand. 😊 And surprisingly, they're still producing small smartphones albeit in ✌"Made in China"✌ and they're using a vanilla yet recent Android Operating System, unlike Samsung, Huawei, Oppo, Xiaomi, and other giant smartphone brands with their state-of-the-art features and current running Android OS. Maybe someday I'll get my hands on the small Android phone for a nostalgic sake? Who knows? 🤷‍♀️ For now, though, I guess I'll stick with the taller smartphones. And as for my first ever owned cheap Android phone, it's already a relic of its time. Time for you to return to the memorabilia box. 🙂

She began to play, and the crowd began to sing. Em fell into the notes, songs she’d learned by rote, having learned to play well before she’d taught herself to read music. Those around her sang vigorously and rambunctiously. As they should for a shanty about old laws of the sea meshing with new laws of the land. Then the song about looking to the stars and working with the sea and sky. It was so easy to get lost in the songs herself, forget her troubles, forget everything she was running away from, forget who she was running from. Music was her chosen life, and she didn’t want that to ever change. But there was a tension in the air she didn’t like, too much like an over-tuned string. More requests came in and Em listened to them all. She eventually got ‘Down the Well’ in, right after ‘Mere’s Song’, which was an upbeat song to begin with until the last verse where Mere dies in battle. The crowd still sang every word, albeit drunkenly.

There were two weeks until the gala. Between Seamus Finn and Ronan, they had every diagram and schematic they could have asked for. They knew where every fire escape, crawl space, and crystal was. Not to mention they had the schedules for all the staff and security. Jacques had been able to replicate a case for Em and Vinny to practice on. No one could replicate the enchantments on the case in order for Lelia to practice, but she had extensive spell diagrams to study. There was a part of Em who wanted to have someone on the inside, who would be working at the museum the night of the gala. But she Lelia’s intimate knowledge of the museum was certainly welcome in lieu of that.

When they finally came to an end, she could help grinning. “You’ll be writing music of your own in no time,” Ronan laughed. Which required her to remember anything she’d played. “Well,” she ventured, her voice feeling a bit stronger after its rest. “Maybe you can write it down once we’ve both got violins.” “Oh that’s a great idea,” he said.

Despite loving his job, Eddie was ready to quit about 20 minutes into his first lecture with Evan "Buck" Buckley seated in the front row. And Buck was smiling at him innocently, very clearly playing coy but as soon as he opened his mouth to answer Eddie's question, he was far from it. He was well-versed in English Literature and didn't take no for an answer. And it annoyed Eddie to no end. At the end of the class, Eddie dropped down in his chair with a heavy thud, pinching the bridge of his nose as he listened to his students gathering their things and shuffling out of the lecture hall. When a set of hands made its way onto his desk, Eddie recognized them a little too quickly because he had spent some time memorizing how they looked resting on his thighs as Buck had given him the most enthusiastic blowjob of his life. "I didn't know that you were a professor," Buck said as he let the tip of his tongue trace along his lower lip, Eddie unable to keep his eyes from following it. "I think-... that's kind of sexy" Buck moved his hand across the table to touch the professor. "I can't-... I can't do this.
