𝐆𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐘 𝐓𝐎𝐆𝐄𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑 with her girls was the brightest ideas she has had in a while . kaelie , juliette , vasilkaera , aurora , talia . . . invited to house lust and showered in dress options ( the cambion helping her with the resources of that ) and served endless champagne ( non-alcoholic choices provided for a certain pregnant dragon ) , laughter and just good company as they all got ready for the ball of the year . it has always been something violet has enjoy and even moreso with those she cared for ( especially rory , who was becoming more of a woman with each passing day ) so violet is more than happy to host the get ready together . the sin fixes her hair in the mirror , wearing the fifth dress of the night to see if it's what she wants to grace the crowd with tonight before turning to @likestvrlight , eyeing the jewelry she currently tries on . ❛ try this one — ❜ she points to another set ❛ — with that necklace . i think it would look stunning . ❜

there seemed to be a great divide between the people of new york—the ones that reveled in their afflictions and the ones that recoiled. jasper hated his curse, the beast that clambered through his veins and howled toward the night sky. his entire life, since becoming aware of his sickness, had been spent making up for the evil within, distracting himself and filling his mind with every minute detail of humanity. it was fascinating, learning of the mundane histories–the invention of the sandwich, the history of the printing press–yet it opened the chasm in his chest even further, salt into the wound, reminding him of what he could never understand. juliette was one of the rare people that was conditioned into the human way of living. every so often, they would pick something prosaic and banal to pass the time, and it would always become the highlight of jasper’s respective week. one of the strange characteristics of humanity was their need to domesticate animals and keep them within their homes. once dogs had run free, much like himself. now they were collared and leashed and given names like 'fluffy' or 'rover'. they weren't so different; he found himself staring into the eyes of a surrendered collie, the same round and dark irises that he had. "it's weird, isn't it?" spoke jasper over his shoulder, "i wonder what makes humans draw the line. you wouldn't see them walking a badger around on a lead." @likestvrlight

Sunday and Juliette were close friends, they didn't see each other a lot, but when they did catch up a good time was always had and Sunday thoroughly enjoyed her company. After rearranging this long over due catch up a couple of times due to work, Sunday finally managed to wrangle an afternoon off in time to catch up with Juliette. After taking a quick shower, Sunday slipped on one of her mini dresses, a pair of heels and grabbed her jacket before picking up her bag and heading out her apartment.

Willow Creek Winery was one of Sunday's favourite places, she had always enjoyed a glass of wine so going for a tasting session was right up her street. Arriving at the winery, Sunday took a seat at a table just outside the entrance, tapping her fingers gently on the wood as she waited for Juliette, happy to just be sat relaxing for the first time in a while.
