IZUKU MIDORIYA ♡ the man that he is. izuku for sure misses you as SOON as he leaves the house whether that be for a pro hero mission or for work, he is missing you. ♡ 100% is texting you as soon as you or he leaves the houses. like he is such a needy husband. he will conjure up a reason to send you a cute little text whether that be asking what you want for dinner or sending you a picture of a feral cat. ♡ izuku, when you guys are married, is not shy about how much he misses you. whenever people ask him what he's doing after his mission he will announce "me and my wife are doing..." like even if you're not a pro hero other pro heroes KNOW YOU because of how much izuku gushes over you ♡ heaven forbid he ever goes on a multiple day long mission or else he might actually call you all the time. asks you to send him voice messages of your day, asks you to call him so he doesn't fall asleep alone. sends you little videos of him going throughout his day. ♡ when he gets back it is 100% date night !! he will take you to a fancy resturant he saw, or he will take you to a cute little store and insistenet you purchase as much as you want no matter how expensive it is. he really just loves his wife.

KATSUKI BAKUGOU ♡ katsuki bakugou never misses anyone ever. if you ask him he will say he does NOT think about you during his missions because he is locked into his mission. if anyone brings up the fact that katsuki DEFINITELY stares at a photo of you when he's away HE WILL DENY. ♡ katsuki shows that he misses you never through words, but always through words. he will text you randomly throughout the day just things like "what are you eating? has to be better than this garbage ass food" or "found this candle that you would like since you like spending money on useless crap i bought it for you." ♡ KATSUKI FOR SURE GETS BUTTHURT WHEN YOU LEAVE HIM ON READ. like you're working and cannot text him back immediately? he'll respond with "guess we're just leaving each other on read then" or something like "damn guess i should've married a wall at least im not expecting a text back from it." like katsuki is the sassy man apocolapyse. ♡ he 100% buys trinkets for you that reminded him of you. a little stuffed bunny from the store? that's literally you so usually when he comes home it's with a few cute gifts depending on how long he was away for. ♡ the day he comes home is reserved for "miss you" sex and him pampering you and treating you like a princess. he will cook you a beautiful gourmet meal, present his gifts and brush little kisses on your face.

HIMIKO TOGA ♡ as stated previously. himiko is quite literally the definition of "i miss my wife" along with izuku. like she HATES going out of town for missions because she is constantly thinking of you, what you're doing, if you miss her as much as she misses you. ♡ pro hero toga would NOT take your blood and drink it to comfort herself (but villain toga for sure would), my girl is for sure bringing things that remind her of you. if you bought her cute little hair ties she will only wear those! told her one of the necklaces she wore was cute and she will wear it always. ♡ toga for sure goes harder in battles when she's away from you because she HAS TO GET HOME TO HER WIFE OBVIOUSLY. like she will not be dying today, her wife misses her :/. furthermore she is also constantly calling and texting you even if she's in the middle of battle, like she will have you on a phone call in her ear buds while in battle. ♡ "how's your day, cutie patootie?" and all you hear is an explosion in the background before you go on about your day. it is very rare that himiko is not only given out of town missions but also takes them because she hates being away from one of the few people who loves her genuinely. ♡ himiko is absolutely putty in your hands when she does get home, like literally whatever you want. she'll cuddle you close to her chest and if you see a cute pair of high heels you want she is buying them for you INSTANTLY.

HITOSHI SHINSOU

♡ due to the nature of his work hitoshi will not be texting you or calling you during his missions. he is very rarely on his phone because he is often doing undercover spy work, but please do not take that to mean he does not miss you. ♡ hitoshi is very soft; he is not used to missing someone so he is not quite sure what to do with the feeling of wanting you next to him and that usually manifests in him doing things that remind you of him especially while he's undercover. ♡ your favourite meal becomes his favourite meal while he's away, your favourite colour is now his, your favourite scent is now his. hitoshi will always leave you with a hoodie that smells the most like him but in return he's taking one his shirts that you always sleep in so he can smell you while he sleeps. ♡ because hitoshi does undercover work, he is often by other people. often surrounded, but if he's not and he's going on a mission with aizawa or another undercover pro hero he is bringing you up so often in casual conversation, someone definitely has to tell him to stop because he doesn't realise he does it. ♡ when he gets home you are not leaving the bed. he is cuddling you close to his chest, explaining the mission to you and absolutely forcing you to tell him how your days were when he was gone. he will buy take out and pay that twenty dollar delivery fee just so you two can stay wrapped in each other at all times.

SHOUTA AIZAWA ♡ shouta, much like hitoshi, is usually constantly doing cover work which means that it would be dangerous to constantly be in contact with you and he tells you this each time before he leaves just so he can remind you that he is not ignoring you; he simply has to be locked in. ♡ shouta does not text you or call you, but whenever he's alone on a rooftop or in his hotel room he will look back at the photos and videos of you two especially your wedding photos where you are just glowing. ♡ shouta for SURE has a printed out photo of you laughing at him candid on the wedding day. he has it in a little necklace that he can look at whenever he misses you too much. feel like if you have stuffed animals he steals one so he can sleep with it (not cuddle it), but for sure sleep with it. ♡ shouta also likes to buy little knick knacks for your shared home whenever he is gone. it's usually like a little special magnanet, a teddy bear to add to your collection, a snowglobe if he goes to another country, just little things. ♡ shouta when he gets home is usually dog tired so he will insist that you take a nap with him regardless of the time of day afterwards he drowns himself in domestic tasks; cooking, cleaning the home, doing laundry. all things to try and pick up the slack that he left when he was gone.

KEIGO TAKAMI ♡ keigo is in the very awkward position of missing you immensely on his missions and having absolutely no idea how to express it because he has never been in the position to miss anybody ever. like he is used to a solitary life and now he has a wife that he is missing? he has no idea what to do with himself. ♡ the first day of him gone he is playing cool and nonchalant. each time he thinks he won't miss you, but it's always something little and stupid that triggers him spiraling and missing you (usually a song or a smell) and he is spam texting you. ♡ keigo also constantly wants to do phone calls, especially at night when he is calming down and relaxing becase he thinks of you the most when he is at ease. call you up so you can fall asleep to the sound of his voice and so he can fall asleep to the sound of you talking about your day. ♡ he is also definitely indulging in buying you trinkets, but it's usually not cute little one. it's usually expensive necklaces, beautiful earrings/bracellets, and if you have any body modifications he is 100% buying expensive body jewlerry. he is a bird and showers his partner in expensive and shiny things. ♡ usually when keigo gets back it's late so he will tuck himself into you and sleep. the next day he is taking you to an expensive fancy brunch or if you want an amazing homemade dinner. literally he just wants to feed you and take care of you, he wants you to know that there was not a single moment of the mission where he wasn't thinking of you (without actually just saying it.)

4. If you could put this character in any other media, be it a book, a movie, anything, what would you put them in?

Nooo, let the poor man rest, Andor already did enough damage. 😭

But okay, if someone were to actually do him justice, I'd actually like it if he showed up in one of the video games. Or does this mean like an already existing media? Huh. It's difficult to imagine him in anything outside of Star Wars, I don't think you really can just drop SW characters into any other context. And you can't very well just throw him into any other existing SW media, either, save maybe a cameo in Solo or something.

12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?

He was born on Fest and was radicalized early on during the Clone Wars, becoming an anarchist insurrectionist for the Confederacy, and later was recruited into the Rebel Alliance by General Draven, quickly becoming a highly dedicated and committed intelligence officer.

Oh wait, sorry, that's canon.

Okay, that aside...

I don't think he has a very extensive romantic past. Probably not a virgin by any means, but certainly not some fuckboy either, not even really when undercover. I know it's popular to write him as some Intergalactic Man of Mystery, but I can't see that kind of thing coming very naturally from him. Probably demi, if we're being honest, not forming connections easily -- but as we've seen, when he does, it's intense.

Extending on that... hella malewife. Absolutely devoted. Probably kinda subby -- for Jyn in particular.

I'm super undecided whether he likes or hates cold. Okay, let's say he likes it. But his hands are also always cold (and he loves to annoy Jyn by putting his chilly hands under her shirt).

Probably lives in a constant state of heightened anxiety and self-loathing as a result of PTSD and, well, the circumstances, to the point caf now actually calms him down. The only times he's truly calm have usually been when he looks through the scope of his sniper rifle. Until.

28. If you could have this character meet another in another media, who would you have them meet?

Again, it's kinda difficult imagining him in some completely different setting, but it would be actually be interesting to see him interact with Qi'ra in her capacity as the leader of Crimson Dawn. I mean, I can't imagine he hasn't ever dealt with them.

But yeah I want to share my take on The Ex-Morning! Because I feel unwaveringly certain as of now that Tam was externally pressured to leave Phi. Between his foreshadowing-y recklessness at the CCTV catching them doing PDA at work, and that absolutely gutting conversation where he asked if "we" would ever be ready for marriage, clearly meaning "our society as a whole" as much as he meant "our relationship after I leave you tomorrow morning", I have no doubts whatsoever that this was not a choice he made for a single voluntary reason. Whether someone actually threatened Phi's career or just maliciously reminded Tam their relationship could fuck everything up for Phi, and he internalized that to his core, I do not know, but I remain absolutely certain that he did not make the choice to leave on his own steam and that we have been given all the cues that the steam behind him was external and weaponized homophobia.

In some ways this is less interesting to me than if there had been real unresolved problems in their relationship that drove an immature, conflict-avoidant Tam away instead of acknowledging or working through them, but I didn't honestly truly expect that from a GMMTV show, I just... hope one day we will get an Exes QL that lets the relationship be that level of realistically fraught (side note: first reaction to clocking homophobia as the breakup reason was "oh my god, that's so Chaser Game W of them").

Nonetheless, the "Do you think we'll ever get there?" conversation was soooooooo devastatingly acted that I truly can no longer remember why I wanted anything but meowmeow4meowmeow from this ship lolol

Plus, there is something absolutely wonderful and unexpected to me about how their relationship progressed this episode that could not have happened if there were deeper unresolved issues between them. I typically really hate it when crucial backstory is drawn out til the last possible minute for climactic endgame reveal reasons, but that's because it usually does stand in the way of the relationship meaningfully moving forward in a way that won't be erased. So I LOVE how TEM has approached this: Tam is not ready to tell Phi why he left, but the fact that there IS a "why he left", that he is in so much visible pain about it, that he is no longer pretending he was never gone at all or that he didn't hurt Phi, that he's (explicitly!) sorry and he has SOMETHING he wants to tell Tam... that, itself, is a communication. That, itself, is more information than Phi has had for this entire brutal period of his life. Having confirmation that there is a reason Tam chose to leave that is still this hard to articulate surely must reassure Phi on at least some level that it is what we always hope for in these situations: he didn't just fall out of love with me, get bored, and leave without ever looking back. The huge fracture and rift that destroyed my life wasn't exclusively experienced on my side. He's not playing with me when he appears to still feel something for me now; he very possibly never stopped.

So when Phi shamelessly (and this really is his most toxic trait and I am so appreciative that he does still have such toxic traits lol) checks if Tam is ready to let him back in yet despite a lack of real explanation, it honestly makes total emotional sense to me that Tam's answer is "yeah, kind of." Because he doesn't have all the information he needs and deserves, but he has enough to begin babysteps healing, and for the reckless, still-in-love part of his heart to want to start trusting again.

Idk, to me it's just so much more realistic than forcing tension and distance until the climactic reveal scene. I really relate a lot to Phi as a character because what I always crave most is information and answers, it is the uncertainty that drives me insane and makes me unable to trust or move on. And I just love when characters communicate in ways that aren't a direct conversation. I think this would be such a frustrating series for me if Tam was pushing himself up against Phi every other minute without any actual communication happening, but I paradoxically love it when it becomes a kind of nonverbal communication. I can't tell you why I left, yet, but I can show you over and over and over again that I want to be here with you, that I never actually stopped.

Which also makes it SO MUCH FUN!!! that the premise for the next episode is they have to fake-date in front of Phi's mom, play act what it would have looked like to never break up, when neither of them actually wanted to break up in the first place, or stopped loving the other. I can't waittttttt.

I dont really fully agree that Mabel's interactions with Paz have become that Mabel ships Paz with Dipper, since in LL she still greets Pacifica as whether shes her frenemy or not. And I believe Mabel appreciates the golf club gifts. That said, even theres not many further appearances of Paz post-NMM to really give a fair assessment

But I also can understand your adversity to ships because since once romance comes to the picture, the others' interactions really get divorced or sidelined. Like once that wendip crush subplot was dropped, wendy subsequently only made very limited appearances

Also on consequences yeah I think it got thrown out the window when they try to focus on the overall plot and turn their focus elsewhere in S2. I always find S2 to be very bumpy, since it tries to achieve that balance of working on the overall plot while still ensuring the light hearted moments. And what I also find chronic is how Mabel pretty much got sidelined in the mystery plot, despite her being as capable of solving mysteries in S1 (Headhunters and Irrational Treasure). So like Into the Bunker and Sock Opera, she became like the goofer who kept standing in Dipper's way.

Then the writers quietly dropped the investigating the Author bit as it was pushed to McGucket to solve it and then NMM suddenly reminds us: hey wanna guess who the author is and why the end of the world is coming? So actually dipper and mabel didnt really managed to solve the mystery themselves as the govt agents also came crashing in anyway.

About Stan's life... Funnily I say even there are still a couple of bits that are comically exaggerated that thankfully not many would have to suffer through. Like him failing a history quiz so badly that he has to stand outside for three days. But I get what you mean.

It quite seems that Hirsch prioritise humour and exaggeration though, typical of a cartoon creator, than really considering the consequences and implications. I mean, even though Ford was written as having been used by Bill, Hirsch was still rather initially dismissive and didn't seem as interested in Ford's character, viewing him more of Stan's foil. Even he admitted in a rather recent interview with ThatGFFan and Hana Hyperfixates that Rezentii (the author of our canon J3) conceived much of Ford's characterisation. And really, if you dug up what Hirsch said about Ford (like this 2015 interview), it's not really pleasant, especially when he said Ford was pretty much in the wrong and should have apologised to Stan (even though both had hurt each other) and mentioned Ford's ego and arrogance are something to overcome and so on. [which yes, those are valid flaws, but then the fandom subsequently hyperfocused on these way too much]

That said, I believe Hirsch's perspective on Ford has became more nuanced especially with The Book of Bill pointing out how Ford shouldn't also be too hard on himself and that he has his family's support to overcome his past history with Bill

But yeah, overall it's one of many instances when Hirsch seldom really think through things as he prioritised GF being a cartoon than a show teaching us moral consequences. Even TLM ended on a note that morality doesnt matter. But funnily, even those relatable bits you mentioned are probably those few times which I believe Hirsch and the writers put considerable thought through. And I believe, as I said about Ford's backstory in TBOB, that Hirsch had also reconsidered his stance on Ford and underscored the abuse he had in the hands of Bill

Curious, what are your thoughts on the writing of female characters in the show? Some felt they are rather dismal since also often the named female characters ended up in a love interest plot at some point (Mabel and her friends in NMM, and the Dipper and Candy subplot in Roadside Attraction).

I somewhat also believe a part of the Mabel hate also stems from their criticism of how Mabel is written. Because of how she's based on his sisters, so Hirsch's more light on her especially when it comes the show's 'lessons'. Also why fans have an issue with her. Hirsch keeps punching Dipper down because he wasn't afraid of making fun himself. That doesn't happen nearly as often with Mabel, and even if it does, it feels a lot less harsh or brushed away. Like why did the puppet guy in Sock Oprea have to be creep at the end? It's like she ruined her puppet show to help Dipper, but also dogged a bullet.

And another issue with Wendy: the writers also fear to crack her that they shot down any story idea that would have developed her. Alex keeps saying he has ideas for Wendy, but I'm honestly having a hard time believing him, since she keeps being barely involved in any new material. And whenever she does, it's often with regard to Dipper's crush. it's super annoying that candy and grenda only really got attention for meh love plots.... my girls deserve more than that.... (and people better quit ignoring that they beat bill's ass!!!!)

alex is more comfortable with being more harsh on dipper but even still a lot of the plots where he has to "sacrifice" something tends to get softened up too, like how in the pool ep wendy also immediately gets fired and the time travel ep immediately has waddles humiliating robbie in front of everyone (and also a lot of people + dipper himself just ignore that what dipper was doing wouldn't stop robbie from asking wendy out, it's only delaying it at most and that's definitely not worth ruining mabel's happiness that she only lost because she helped dipper out and he refused to find a way where they both "won")

it's been like ten years since the show ended, and he says he has so many stan o war stories in his head so i genuinely do think alex actually has some idea on what to do with wendy but like. him doing one line with her at most in tbob is so disappointing and it makes me wince when it feels like pacifica comes off as a replacement (and when mabel's only relationship with her former rival is just to wingman her and her bro >:///// booooooooo it's like her shipping candy and dipper all over again but this time constantly in supplementary materials like a jumpscare)

𐙚. total ass guy; This man cannot go five seconds without smacking the Mario coins out of your ass. Literally. You’d think he was winding his arm back like a baseball pitch the way it stings for a solid five minutes—but nope, he’s just heavy-handed as hell. God forbid you walk around the penthouse in shorts or tights. That’s an open invitation for him to make you jump like a cartoon character.

𐙚. never lets you see the receipt/price tag on something you wanna buy; He never lets you see the receipt, ever. You’d think shopping was a heist with how you try to sneak a peek at the price tag before he catches you. If you do manage to see it, he’ll pinch your cheeks like you’re five and hit you with a “Why you looking?”—before buying it for you in two colors and telling the associate to wrap it up “real pretty.”

𐙚. surprisingly knows about nails; You made a joke once, asking whether you should get a red-bottom stiletto or a pink glittery coffin set. He didn’t even blink—just gave you a look and went: “Red bottom. Square. With rhinestones. Don’t play with me. There’s already cash in your purse.” …Sir????

𐙚. lowkey sassy asf; While Ryo usually lets his judgment show through an unimpressed side-eye or a scoff, sometimes… sometimes you get the pleasure of hearing him be downright sassy.

𐙚 “The fuck are you talking about? That shit is ugly.” 𐙚 “That was your ex? Did he sneak onto earth?” 𐙚 You have to walk away before he sees you wheezing.

𐙚. throws you over his shoulder when you have an attitude; It’s instinct at this point. You raise your voice, roll your eyes, stomp away—boom, you’re upside down. He’s walking around like it’s nothing while you’re kicking and yelling “PUT ME DOWN.” He won’t. He’s chuckling. Slaps your ass mid-walk too. “Talk crazy again. I dare you.”

𐙚. doesn’t like sharing food—except with you; He’ll side-eye anyone who asks for a fry, but you? You can literally eat off his plate and he won’t say a word. He’ll just flick your forehead and go, “You’re lucky you’re cute brat.” Bonus points if you feed him too. He’ll open his mouth lazily and say, “Hurry up, I’m not tryna be romantic, I’m tryna eat.”

𐙚. acts like you’re so annoying but lowkey worships the ground you walk on; He’ll be like “Why are you so needy?” while simultaneously wrapping you in a blanket, giving you a foot massage, and ordering your favorite food without being asked. Literally complains while doing everything for you.

𐙚. randomly flexes how strong he is; Opens jars with one hand. Lifts the whole couch just to get your phone. Carries all the groceries without breaking a sweat. Smirks every time you’re like “Goddamn, okay.” “Keep looking like that and I’ll show you what else I can carry.”

𐙚. so, so handsy; Not even just sexual—he always has to be touching you. Hand around your neck while you sit on his lap. Thumb brushing your thigh in the car. Rubbing slow circles into your back while you sleep. And yes, he still slaps your ass every time you walk past. “Don’t act surprised. You knew what this was.”

𐙚. calls you a menace daily—but he’s in love. - “You’re a headache in heels.” - “You cause me stress and I like it. That’s the problem.” - “I should’ve left you in that dressing room when you said ‘I only want one thing’ and - pointed at the whole store.” - But he never leaves. He never would. You’re his favorite chaos.

Me when they are the sisters ever: 😭😭😭 They came out soooo freaking well. I won’t lie, they took me a thousand years to finish but through the constant support from all of my buds (and my latent bisexuality), we made it 😤

I wanted Ace to have a very down-to-earth vibe and looked at Aussie beach-girls, coastal cowgirls, and vaqueras for reference. (IDK, I’ve just always envisioned Ace as part-Australian🌺 and Mexican 🏴‍☠️) Her clothing choices are mostly natural or utilitarian materials like the painted wooden beads on her top, her woven fabric and leather belts, and her denim jumpsuit. I gave her bikini top a zen-garden kind of feel because I read the first Ace’s Story Novel and I loved how idyllic and peaceful they made Sixis Island sound so I wanted to invoke that in some way.

Speaking of her painted wooden beads, they hang off the back of her top and represent her connection to Sabo and Luffy. They watch her back once she sets sail. She only wears one red glass bead earring because the other one got ripped out of her ear when a child, leaving her earlobe torn (don’t think about it too much 😢). Also, YES! she does wear a hibiscus flower just like Rouge (because I hate you and I want to make you cry, muhwahahahaha).

Also, I really wanted her to have super textured curly hair that licks behind her like flames. I am always considering whether or not a character should have long hair or not because I don’t want it to be a hindrance if they’re in a fight (or if they ARE a fighter with long hair, how to they avoid an enemy making use of that?). Ace is, of course, a Logia-type Devil Fruit User so I think she wouldn’t have trouble with people grabbing it LOL I get the feeling that she doesn’t take very good care of it even though it looks amazing. Like you’d think it would be soft and bouncy just by looking at it but if you ever get the chance to run your fingers through it, it’s a total rat’s nest and there’s sand and food all up in it. She still falls asleep while eating 😂 but she tries her best to only do it around people she can trust (woman moment 😔).

Honestly, her design is not that different from Ace’s canon look. It feels really vital to Ace’s character to have a lot of skin showing. And he’s always hanging all over himself with his hips all cocked like the weight of the world is too much to stand up straight. It is certainly not my OWN preference to make her an absolute smoke show. That’s just the character, okay? (I’m partially lying and the proof is that I turned the emblem on Ace’s hat strap into a sternum tattoo for no other reason than that it is sexy af.)

Now for Sabo, I’ve made her very girly. I tried putting her in pants or something more militant but she told me that she’d wear the big poofy sleeves and hiked-up ruffled skirt. I think Sabo has always had a strong grasp on his fashion sense and individual flair and I truly believe that his personal style is one of the major influences for the rest of the Revolutionary Army resulting in the very flashy, queer, steampunk aesthetic (aside from Dragon’s plain-ass cloak). So of course I had to implement her nonconformist look when reimagining her as a woman and dress her up to the nines.

I’ve given her very ornate jewelry that is there to tell a story, even if she herself doesn’t know it. I like to think she picks up stuff from her travels that resonate with her, such as a damaged set of earrings with one stone missing or red cup-shaped shells featuring three nestled pearls. Another accessory that cannot go unmentioned is her dragon claw hat pin that keeps her top hat resting on top of her hair (and is definitely used as a weapon when the situation simply doesn’t call for trusty metal pipe). She also has a veil that obscures her prominent facial scar. I imagine she’s not very keen on the reminder of the incident from her childhood that took away her memories. I also kept her chipped toothed because 1) it’s fucking adorable and 2) is a visual reminder that she no longer aligns herself with the nobility who would have gotten such a thing fixed. She is so poised in almost every outward facet of her life from her dignified role as the Chief of Staff to the elegant materials in her clothing that it can be easy to forget she was also a rough and tumble forest dweller. Every time Koala remembers this, he lets out the biggest sigh.

Her hair is inspired by Gibson Girls and Elizabeth Swann from the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie. I wanted it to be fussy and tidy but fall apart when she’s in moments of distress. For example, when she remembers her sisters, her hair starts to look like Ace’s flaming mane. I’m so in love with her, I think she looks like an adorable little porcelain doll that would fuck you up. I made an effort to keep her eyes a little bit manic. I get lost in her steely black orbs (and also Ace’s warm brown ones, but we’re talking about Sabo rn).

Plot notes for this AU:

For this series of character designs, I wanted the expressions and outfits to be aligned with the canon plot but I don’t know if I have the heart to kill fem!Ace in my AU. I’m too attached and ASL has suffered enough!!!!! But Ace’s death is also a major defining moment for Luffy so it feels disingenuous to completely avoid it. Also a huge aspect of Sabo’s character is carrying on Ace’s will and I have so many thoughts about how the Dressrosa Colosseum scene would play out if they were all women. Oh well, I’ll cross that tragic bridge when I get to it. I’m definitely going to draw some Modern AU Girl Piece ASL though. They deserve to hang out with no stakes 😭 They are sisters!!!

monkey d. luffy

luffy is really enthusiastic when the two of u make out. he doesn't mind if there are other ppl around and would always try to seek u out during parties. something abt the afterglow of a battle + being around his favorite ppl just fires him up to wrap u up in his rubbery arms and kiss away ur surprised gasps. luffy usually tastes like meat, sweet barbecue sauce, and a hint of whatever tropical drink he was guzzling down prior.

his stretchy abilities easily allow him to feel closer than u then a normal body could. coiling his arm around ur waist multiple times like a statement belt only to pull u impossibly closer so he can shove his tongue deeper down ur throat makes his head kinda light and eyelids heavy. occasionally u explore his mouth too, but he always cheats and stretches his tongue forcing himself to take control.

bonus: he has definitely gotten carried away before and gotten you two actually tongue tied. in his own passion of open kisses he found u struggling to pull away, panicked and wide-eyed as you pointed to the apparent knot between ur tongues.

roronoa zoro

zoro is a messy lover. when he gets his calloused hands on u he makes sure to hold ur face as gently as he knows how. his lips are soft and he tastes strongly of sake and variations of cheaper booze. u could get drunk off his mouth from feeling and lingering alcohol together. his hands never stop cradling ur face, he enjoys the soft moment of intimacy throughout so much violence in his life.

while he handles u with care, his tongue could be fighting u like a marine. similar to his captain, he much would rather push himself into ur mouth than have u take the lead. he also enjoys having u in his lap, while he rocks u back n forth. the motions of u rubbing his strong arms and chest while he loses himself in ur lips may lead to something else up in the crow's nest.

vinesmoke sanji

sanji prides himself on being a gentleman and yet all of his manners fly out the window when u push ur tongue into his mouth. his facial hair tickles ur face and sends tingles to the rest of ur body while his hands struggle on deciding whether to rest on ur waist or face. he tastes like mint, as his hygiene is impeccable, and pre-timeskip his upper lip may or may not have tasted like shaving cream.

the blond would gladly let u guide him through the motions as move ur tongues together. he would never brute force himself between ur lips and adores how sweetly u place chaste kisses on the corners of his mouth before u reach him. he would love to keep u as close as possible, however even after a few minutes of making out ur chef is going to need to sort out the growing tent in his pants.

portgas d. ace

i think ace was shy at first and allowed u to take the reins due to his lack of experience. not only would the makeout sesh be hot (haha) but sloppy too. strings of saliva would fall from both ur lips as u pant for air and ace runs a hand through his messy hair. blown out pupils stare at ur mouth expectantly like a patient puppy waiting to be told he can have his treat.

in terms of taste he probably just tastes like his last meal and charred bits of food. ace is going to be insatiable once u get him hooked on the feeling on ur tongues intertwining and mouths moving against each other in ways that send sparks down his spine and into his shorts. I doubt he would mention his erection, but it's not like u can't exactly tell.

sabo

ugh. sabo is a yapper and unfortunately not even making out can get him to shut up. hot open mouthed kisses pressed against his stupidly perfect lips would only lead to a cheeky smile and commentary on his luck. sabo tastes like English breakfast tea, and while his appetite is almost as crazy as his brothers he often cleanses his palate with the hot beverage. while his arms circle ur waist he makes sure to strip himself of his leather gloves if he hasn't already, wanting to feel ur skin on his own.

u should be careful not to rile him up too much or he might burn ur tongue. he hasn't had his devil fruit for long and deep emotion can easily set him off. sabo enjoys making out best when ur on top of him while he's lying down. during leisure moments in the Revolutionary army he wants nothing more than to spend his days lazily sliding his tongue against urs and trying to memorize the cavern of ur mouth.

eustass kid

kid is the type to pat his lap while he spreads his legs and gesture for u to come sit. and I would absolutely fall for it every single time. despite placing u on his knee the guy is 6'8 so i doubt ur gonna be taller than him. small kisses on his lipstick clad lips only act to annoy him because u both know what he really wants from ur mouth. when he finally gets bored of ur games he decides to bite ur lip and use ur surprise to bring ur open mouth to his own.

he has a lovely tongue piercing that sends a contrast of cold metallic steel whenever he runs it across ur own. sometimes he'll take his goggles off and let his bangs fall in front of face, tickling ur forehead in the process. while he is a rough lover, this is one of the view times where he lets his guard down and indulges himself in another. if u weren't wearing any lipstick beforehand he'll make sure u are by the end of this.

killer

jk I wouldn't be that mean to the 8 killer fans out there! if he does ever remove his mask and share something so personal like his own face to u, the first thing he wants to do is finally kiss u. and pirates aren't known to be the most self retraining ppl so ofc ur sweet kisses would lead into a steamy make out session with the blond. for some reason i can imagine this happening on the floor as the both of u awkwardly stumble around on ur knees until u fall into his lap.

as he gains more confidence he would move his hand behind ur head to press u closer to him. he spent so long watching ur lips grace everyone else in the crew with smiles and kisses on the cheek he can't seem to stop himself from wanting to reap all the times he should've taken u in his arms and he didn't. in terms of taste, unfortunately due to his diet full of pasta he will be tasting entirely like spaghetti.

trafalgar d. law

law has watched movies and read books where people make out but actually acting out the scene himself? entirely different playing field. he would be sitting uncomfortably on the edge of his bed as u stare up at him curiously. u've given each other quick pecks before (all that have led to wonderful wank bank material) but now it was time to get serious and fulfill a long time dream of his.

after hyping himself up for a few seconds he turns to u and u begin to crawl towards him on the bed. finally making out for law is overwhelming, erotic, and kinda sweaty. he can't stop his palms from sweating and he doesn't want to weird u out by putting his damp hands on ur body so he awkwardly keeps them by his side. he's already planning his escape to the bathroom after this encounter but it's totally worth it, esp bc the two of u r watching sora, warrior of the sea: the germs of germa after this!

Questions about Eyes And Ears AU

I had somebody ask for a brief interview regarding my storytelling for their university project and thought I'd lend a hand.

I thought those of you that follow the story might like the insight too, so here ya go:

When you first introduced the Listeners in Evo SMP, did you have a broader narrative or concept in mind, or were they more of an atmospheric element at that point?

The honest answer is that I didn't want to write too much about somebody else's character(s), that being Grian's Watchers. If I could write the conflict from the side of the Listeners then we could continue the narrative with a pre-designed opposing force but have them be relatively mute for the most part. Partly to build anticipation of when they might act or retaliate but it also worked for behind the scenes purposes too. If the series hadn't slowed/stopped as suddenly as it did, I definitely would have poked Grian to pick his brain about what story elements fit his original imagining of the Watchers. So it was mostly narrative reasoning but they also served a mechanical behind the scenes purpose of transporting us to a new area which was necessary due to bugs we'd encountered with world gen etc.

What inspired you to flesh out the Eyes and Ears AU more in recent years? Was that mostly a personal creative decision, or was it influenced by fan interest?

Honestly I hadn't premeditated too much their reintroduction into anything that I was working on. Sure I'd seen a little chattering here and there about the Watchers but I honestly just wanted to write an individual story beat (albeit a tropey one) of c!Martyn snapping and turning on Ren but that never came to fruition due to Scar taking us out. The plan was always to backstab Ren then say a cool line like "Red Winter is over, Red Spring has begun" or something else punny. Seeing the fevered reaction of the audience though gave me some confidence that I could try my hand at some layered or entirely post-production storytelling, so heading into Last Life I was all guns blazing.

The Eyes and Ears AU is quite open-ended — do you intentionally approach it with the idea of leaving narrative space for fan interpretation?

It really is right? Yes, it's a very mindful decision to leave it open-ended but not so much for the audience's benefit or interpretations, but to give myself creative freedom to take the story wherever I'd like to. Committing to too many power scale, multiverse or narrative shackles early can really strangle stories I've noticed (from reading comics and manga) meaning back pedalling or aggressive retcons are required to explore certain paths, which is rarely a good experience for the reader. I do enjoy their versatility and capability to be applied to any Minecraft or adjacent story too. Some might call it too broad, I call it malleable.

How do you feel about fans expanding the lore through headcanons and theories? Have any fan interpretations stood out or surprised you?

I think it's brilliant! People inundate my inbox on Tumblr seeking permission to write stories or create characters / AUs but I've literally no authority on that. I suppose it might be a different conversation if they were profiting off of those works, but 99% of people simply want to write for fun which I highly encourage!! I'll be honest that I haven't read a great deal of AUs or headcanons, my exposure to them is mostly via chat messages during lore talk streams or questions that come through regarding the Eyes And Ears AU. As a general rule I try to avoid reading too much of other people's works on the topic because I worry I'll accidentally regurgitate it in some way then stumble into plagiarism, you know? It's why I focus more on digesting stories outside the fandom whether it's manga, Sanderson books, reading old Japanese folk tales and the like. I can source inspiration from those on how to weave narrative and execute plot twists without having to glance in my front yard.

Has fan content (art, theories, animatics, etc.) ever influenced how you think about or approach the AU?

Oh for sure they have. It's literally why after every season we'll do a sit down stream and talk about the lore in detail. Figure out the puzzle and potential trip wires of plot points from the episodes and how we can neatly pack them into the pre-existing story. A lot of people wouldn't do that as they'd be precious about their work and believe their opinion is th only correct one, but I looooove soundboarding with the audience on it. I also take that mindset in game and sometimes think about the scenery of an impactful moment whenever I'm able to control / design it. I'll have little quips or quotes cooked in my mind for how I'd ideally deliver a blow or plot twist, buuuuut given the nature of the Life series you very rarely get to execute things how you'd like haha! I definitely wouldn't have done as many of the poems had their not been such a positive reaction to those. I often see individual lines or entire passages make their way into art pieces as typography or highlighted in animatics which is really gratifying. It's why I also put such an emphasis and priority on audio production in my editing. If I can craft something that feels atmospheric, driving and punctuating with music, staggering vocals or sound effects then the auditory portion is already done, they can focus solely on the visual aspect of things. I try and be as cinematic / TV like as my skillset allows for that reason.

You’ve mentioned trying not to fully canonise the AU, but still referencing it consistently — how do you balance telling your own story effectively, while trying not to involve other creators, particularly on the Life Series, when a lot of your time is spent in a group?

The easiest way to do this, is to not do it. For the most part the only storytelling done with the AU is done in post-production. I never name drop the Watchers or Listeners in world (believe me, I was as surprised as all of you when I saw that Secret Keeper statue in Secret Life!!) and in recent seasons they haven't even reared their head as an influence whatsoever. They're on holiday, they deserve it. But when they do whisper in my ear, they're motivated decisions that I would likely make as a player/character anyway because the win objective is always the thing I'm striving towards. I can just pepper angst around it to make things seem more manipulated rather than selfish ha. I think that's why the open ended nature of the Watchers has served me well because as much as they have a singular motive which is to feed on negative emotions, that can be achieved in so many ways ranging from bloodlust to deception, heartbreak to panic. What do the Watchers and Listeners represent to you, symbolically or narratively? Do they serve a specific function in the stories you tell?

The Watchers used to represent the audience when Grian first introduced them, but after departing EVO I've definitely breathed more of an egotistical and sinister air into them. They're very much a unique entity / faction now, they in some ways represent gluttony, selfishness and neglect in achieving their goals. The Listeners on the other hand, are a lot of the opposite traits, but I'm still wanting to explore how being the hard end of most conflicts can be dangerous. I want to explore that at some point, whether it be with infighting or failures. They shouldn't be seen as simply bad/good, they're just, different. It shouldn't be too hard navigating that nuance but I want it to reflect elements and motives that we find in our own lives.

But if you want your story to feel fresh, real, alive — sometimes you’ve gotta ditch the Insta-ready jobs and actually think: What does this person do at 9 a.m. on a Wednesday? What would they complain about after a garbage day at work?

Here’s how to get careers that feel like they belong to an actual human, not a catalog model...

❥ The "Unexpected But Perfect" Career Pick something that makes your reader go, wait, what? and then oh my god, that's so them. Like:

A chaotic, disaster character who’s actually a surprisingly competent funeral director. (Yes, it’s messy. Yes, it’s weirdly perfect.)

The quiet, overlooked character who’s a locksmith. Always helping people get inside things. Always a little lonely themselves.

The job should reflect the character’s secret self.

❥ The “Soul-Crushing Job They’re Too Good For” Reality Check Not everybody is their Dream Job Self yet. Some characters are stuck. Flipping burgers, filing invoices, answering phones for screaming Karens named Marge. And you know what? There’s story gold there. Give me the character who’s quietly making art out of coffee foam because it’s the only creative outlet they’ve got. Give me the character who’s wasting in a job they hate, but who hums with what could be underneath.

Failure and frustration? Delicious character fuel.

❥ The "Job That Messes With Their Brain" Career Certain jobs change you. Make you hard in weird places and soft in weirder ones. Lean into that.

A paramedic who's numb to blood but cries at dog food commercials.

A social worker who can’t listen to their friends' minor drama without tuning out completely.

A vet tech who talks to animals better than people.

The job should bruise them in little invisible ways.

❥ The “Work Family or Work Frenemies” Setup Office dynamics are like nuclear reactors: volatile, ridiculous, and perfect for drama.

Give them the boss who’s a passive-aggressive nightmare in group emails but buys everyone surprise cupcakes on Fridays.

Final Truth Bomb: Your character’s job doesn't have to be their whole identity. (Shocking, I know, Hollywood.)

But it should still touch them somehow. It should rub off on the way they move through the world, the way they talk, the way they size up a stranger in five seconds flat. Because we are all shaped by how we spend our hours, whether we mean to be or not.

do you think Falin's chimerism would affect her lifespan and behaviors? or just her body? maybe she can make more animalistic noises or has vague dragon-like instincts?

that’s a really good question! I think we could probably figure this out by taking a look at what we know about Falin, what we know about red dragons, whether these things would apply to Falin, and go from there.

The obvious external changes Falin has are: her eyes, her teeth, and her feathers.

It’s hard to pin down what Falin is like! Throughout the duration of the manga, she wasn’t really a character so much as a plot device. We have almost nothing told from her point of view, and the majority of her unbiased (as in, we’re seeing her through a neutral lens and not another character’s perception of her) characterization is from the post-canon omake.

Even Falin believes that her wanderlust might come from her dragon side, but she's not sure. Personally, I think it’d make a lot of sense if it kind of does, in the sense that she has 20/20 vision now, haha! For most of her life, she could probably only see clearly within a relatively small sphere surrounding her, and now she can see everything. She can look up and around freely in a way she couldn’t before. Fuck man, if I had magic lasik I’d probably go out more too.

Some other quirks that are really unclear whether it’s typical for Falin or chimera-influenced:

she enters rooms through windows, sometimes. And given the leaves in her hair, I think it’s reasonable to assume this is not the first floor 💀 But who knows! Maybe that’s not new for Falin.

She points out that Laios’s scent could deter monsters. Maybe she has enhanced smell. But again, it isn’t unreasonable to think this is something she would have said before. (I think even Chilchuck and Izutsumi, whose senses of smell are enhanced, can’t identify scents well. Kuro, however, can.)

VIOLENCE! But again, we’ve seen her beat shit with her staff before, and she also used to wield a flail. It IS a trait for red dragons to fight any large threat, so if anything, she’s got even better monster fighting instincts than before. I don't think this would carry over to people. Falin has always been better with people, and I'm personally not a fan of seeing her depicted as territorial or possessive. Marcille is already the possessive one, and didn't need dragon blood to be like that.

Ultimately, I don't think her dragon traits extend much farther beyond this. Especially when you consider How Little the dragon is represented as in her conscience.

it's not like it's a 50/50 split. She's like a person with a dragon ratatouille. I don't think she'd be able to make dragon noises. I don't think her body is built for that. I know there's like, a set list of tropey characteristics that are given to almost every non-human character in fiction. and sure that's FINE but they tend not to be especially personalized to the character, and tend to just be an excuse to write them OOC. Like, sure, dragons may have instincts regarding sleep habits, hunting, courting, raising young, etc etc, but so do humans! And we don't compulsively act on every instinctual whim we have. I don't see why it'd be any harder for her new dragon instincts.

If anything, I think she'd feel more affected by the fact that she has part of the demon in her.

I don't think Falin's in any sort of trouble. All the demon was was a way to communicate with people. Here, it's representing Falin's tether to the infinite realm, to mana itself. The winged lion no longer has the desire to consume anymore because, yknow, Laios has that now. This is very likely why she no longer needs to chant to cast magic.

But what else does this mean for her? She already had unusually high reserves of mana + an innate connection with spirits, but is her mana essentially limitless now? How would that affect her lifespan? I'm leaning towards, it wouldn't really?? But is she immune to mana sickness now? Is it more like her magic is just sort of amplified like it would be in a dungeon?

We can infer that having more mana doesn't increase your lifespan, because-- while elves and gnomes have both naturally high levels of mana and longer lifespans-- dwarves live longer but have lowest levels of mana of all.

So to answer your question! Maybe a little bit?? But I don't think she'd change a whole lot.

Words of affirmation! Expect this man to offer you, in addition to his comforting presence, all the reassurance you could possibly need after a night of intense sex.

You are the most precious person to him and he makes sure you know it. 

After taking care of you with patience and dedication, he creates a small refuge just for the two of you. The room is softly lit, the temperature is cozy, and everything around you seems to slow down. He remains attentive to every detail: he covers you with a light blanket, fixes your hair so it doesn't bother you, checks if you are warm and relaxed.

Despite being very reserved, he is extremely protective. 

He will always make sure to make you comfortable: whether it is by covering your body with a soft blanket, massaging any sore spots with unusual mastery or even just cuddling you tightly while you recover your energy. 

Even with the tiredness weighing down his muscles, he doesn't think about sleeping before making sure you're okay. His fingers gently run along your hips, precisely exploring most sensitive spots as a way to tease you — even if slightly. The pressure is firm, careful, as if he already knows every inch of you — as if he wants, with that touch, to convey all the love he feels for you.

Despite the rigidity that the world demands of him, with you he allows his shoulders to relax. From time to time, even in moments when everything seems calm, he squeezes you a little tighter, as if confirming to himself that you are there.

If he notices any sign of discomfort, whether physical or emotional, he responds with simple actions: he fetches fresh water and offers it directly into your hands, as a gesture of intimate care. He brings a warm, damp cloth, cleaning your skin patiently, preventing any feeling of vulnerability from turning into disconnection.

If the exhaustion is more emotional than physical, he adapts.
