PvE, puzzles, exploration, all that stuff. It takes several months of hardwork to even unlock, run with all members of the smp who qualified. This long awaited iteration will be played for the first time next saturday, after several delays in its development. Everyone at Critical Role is extremely honored and humbled by the interest our incredible community has shown in the stories that we tell, the shows that we produce, and our company in general. We think it’s pretty amazing that our fans want to create artwork, websites, and other works (“Projects”) based on our intellectual property (“IP”). Our IP includes any unique material our team creates — things like the names of our campaigns (for example, Vox Machina and Mighty Nein), our characters (for example, Grog Strongjaw or Beauregard Lionett), story locations (like Whitestone or Nicodranas), company slogans (such as How Do You Want to Do This?), as well as written content and all related artwork, music, etc. We are generally cool with Projects that follow the rules outlined below, but we reserve the right to remove Projects that, in our view, misrepresent these rules or use our IP inappropriately. We want our fans to continue celebrating our world and sharing their talents with the community, but for Critical Role (“CR”) to exist as a company, our legal advisors have suggested we establish some ground rules for how our IP can be used!

1. What can I develop with Critical Role’s intellectual property (“IP”)?

Free stuff for the community to view, with some exceptions. Critical Role allows you to use, display and create derivative works based upon Critical Role’s IP, strictly for noncommercial (except as specifically provided below) community use. CR reserves the right to use our sole discretion to deny anyone the use of our IP at any time, for any reason or no reason. If we deny you the right to use our IP, you must stop developing, publishing, or distributing your Project immediately.

In all cases, the use of our IP with your Projects must be appropriate for our Critter Community. Projects cannot be defamatory, offensive (including but not limited to anything transphobic, sexist, homophobic, racist, ableist, ageist), or harmful to others (as determined solely by CR).

2. Can I create a project that is commercial in nature?

You may not create commercial Projects, including any Project that (without a written license agreement from us):

i) crowdsources any portion of its funding; ii) involves a business or legal entity; iii) gates the content with a paywall (e.g., Patreon, YouTube Premium, etc.), unless it is also legitimately available elsewhere for free; or iv) involves the sale of merchandise utilizing CR IP

We prohibit the use of our IP in interactive games, apps, and downloads. Please do not take any part of our IP (e.g., character appearance, character abilities, maps, icons, items, etc.) and use it in a game or app for other than your own private, noncommercial use. We do not allow any Projects utilizing our IP to appear in any app stores, including the Apple Store or Google Play, unless they have a written license agreement from us.

No monetized novels, theatricals or the like. You are not permitted to write, produce or create any novels, theatrical productions or other adaptations that include CR’s intellectual property without our express written permission.

Fan fiction is generally permitted (and enjoyed!) by CR, as long as the content is not monetized and otherwise follows the guidelines of this policy.

You are not permitted to manufacture, promote, or distribute (for free or otherwise) any merchandise (such as apparel, game pieces, accessories, etc.) that bear any CR IP without a separate, express written agreement between you and Critical Role.

Critical Role, on occasion, collaborates with and licenses third parties for the creation and distribution of Official CR Merchandise. These agreements are separate from this CR Fan Content Policy.

3. What about passive ad revenue?

This is one of those exceptions we mentioned earlier. We permit fans to promote their Projects on websites, streams, or videos and passively generate revenue through appropriate advertisements, including pre-roll ads, ad breaks, and sponsor ad overlays. No inappropriate direct ads or sponsorships—we alone decide what qualifies as inappropriate, but if you won’t see it on Critical Role, it is probably not appropriate.

We permit individual fans to solicit personal donations or offer subscription-based content while livestreaming, so long as non-subscribers can still watch the live stream concurrently. In other words, you may have your Project behind a paywall, so long as the Project is legitimately also available for free in some other way.

Your use of CR Content must be transformative in nature. You cannot simply re-upload our content. Examples of potential transformative works include:

Animatics

Compilation videos

Remix edits

Added commentary

Music/ music videos

Cosplay content

Art / draw alongs

GIFs / memes

React videos

For longform CR content: Originally 2 hours or more in length (e.g., Critical Role, Exandria Unlimited, and One-Shots)

CR allows your passive monetization of under 10 minutes of content usage per episode

CR may claim monetization or execute an automatic takedown for over 10 minutes of content usage per episode

For medium-length CR content: Originally between 1-2 hours in length (e.g., Between the Sheets, Narrative Telephone)

CR allows your passive monetization for under 5 minutes of content usage per episode

CR may claim monetization or execute an automatic takedown for over 5 minutes of content usage per episode

For short CR content: Under 60 minutes (e.g., Handbooker Helper, All Work No Play)

CR may claim monetization or execute an automatic takedown, which includes any “clips” or “memes”

4. Can my Project make reference to Critical Role?

We’d love that! Just make sure that your Project follows the other guidelines in this policy and clearly let people know it is a fan Project and not an official CR Project. That is, you are not permitted to state or imply that your Projects are affiliated with, sponsored, or approved by Critical Role. You may not create a Project in a manner that could cause other Critters to believe that it is an official CR work. If you share your Project with others, please conspicuously include the following disclaimer (e.g., on your Project’s website):

Portions of the materials used may contain trademarks and/or copyrighted works of Critical Role. This material is not official, is provided for free, noncommercial entertainment purposes only, and is not endorsed by Critical Role.

5. Can I create CR-related video content before the content is available on Critical Role’s YouTube channel?

No. Please be considerate. So it’s clear, any posting or other unauthorized disclosure of CR-created content prior to its official release on YouTube (or an authorized media-sharing platform) is strictly prohibited. In regards to spoilers, even after an episode’s release, spoilers can ruin a fan’s experience and we always aim to avoid them. Please be respectful of others and do not deliberately push plot reveals on people who are actively avoiding learning about them. If you are releasing fan content after its official release on the CR YouTube channels, we ask that you please offer spoiler disclaimers (or appropriate hashtags) as a courtesy.

6. What about CR fan art that’s shared publicly during or after a livestreamed RPG broadcast and before the VOD is available on YouTube?

Boy, we love ourselves some amazing Critter fan art. We also want to ensure that artists are taking every precaution not to spoil an episode before its official release on the CR YouTube channel. Please ensure that your artwork is not audiovisual in nature and follows the guidelines set forth in this policy. Again as a general courtesy, please include spoiler disclaimers (or appropriate hashtags) whenever possible.

7. Is all content in a Critical Role video available for use?

No. Certain CR videos contain music or other content that Critical Role doesn’t own. Critical Role, at times, enters into licenses with 3rd party content providers to enhance CR videos for viewing. Since CR cannot grant you a license to use someone else’s content, you’ll need to get permission from the copyright owner(s) before using their content. If you include non-Critical Role music or other content in your video, do so at your own risk. Your video could be subject to filtering or takedown notices by the owner of the copyright in the original work.

8. Can I use Critical Role’s Logos or Trademarks?

Generally, no, and only in limited instances. Use of Critical Role’s brands, logos, character names, actor names, actor and character likenesses and other IP are only to be used in connection with the discussion of Critical Role works, Official Products and non-commercial Projects in compliance with this Policy. Critical Role expressly prohibits uses of its Trademarks to promote your business or merchandise. You may not register domain names, social media accounts, or similar stuff that uses any of our trademarks, trade names, character names, etc. without expressed written consent.

You definitely may not use any CR trademarks as keywords, titles, or search tags for products that are infringing or counterfeit.

9. Can Critical Role use my Project?

Yes. We want fans to create and share cool things with each other, and we want to remove barriers to sharing. Because you are using Critical Role IP, if we celebrate or spotlight a fan Project, or make something that somehow resembles a fan Project, by posting it publicly you give Critical Role permission to spotlight or share your Project with the world. By using Critical Role IP in the creation of your Project you give CR authorization to share your Project in any way at our sole discretion. Critical Role will always attempt to contact artists in these instances and/or provide proper artist credit whenever possible.

10. What if my Project is not covered here?

If your creative efforts are not covered by this Policy, you’ll need our prior, written approval before you put it out in the world. If you have any questions or creative content you want to make that isn’t covered by this Policy, contact us by sending us an email to info@critrole.com. Written approval is required for Projects that are outside of the scope of this policy.

If you don’t hear from us, it does not mean we approve of your requested use of our IP.

11. Anything else?

- Boomer is in Sam’s mountain base, having gotten stuck mining. Back home, everything was a swamp, so this is a change of pace. Boomer’s known Sam forever and he thinks this is a great place, but he misses home

- Boomer starts walking away from the base, talking to their frog hat. They can’t ever go back or who knows what would happen? But their goal is to find their family

- They feel something strange coming from a certain direction. They haven’t had a feeling like this since the day – what is this? They start boating out into the ocean

Sam’s voice begins to speak:

There was once a boy that was born of water and nature. Appearing into the universe like the spark igniting a flame. Born with an exceptional gift that is still unbeknownst to him in full, he travels the land in search of a family that took him in after he just seemingly came into existence. Missing this place that he once called home, he searches for a swamp to try and find some comfort that would heal some of the deep scars that still lay heavy on his heart...

- It feels as though something in the Earth has moved, as though a passage is close. Boomer needs to find a swamp. This could be the missing clue

- Boomer finally comes across a swamp. The feeling is much stronger here, and he goes looking for the source, coming across a structure built into the ground

- He goes down into it. It’s an empty stone brick room with Ender Chests

- Suddenly, a piston door slides open and Boomer comes face to face with Sam. Through the doorway a library can be seen

Boomer: “I’m assuming that’s – that’s not your real body, is it?”

- Sam says it’s not. He hasn’t told anyone, as that would defeat the whole purpose. Boomer says he won’t tell anyone as long as Sam doesn’t tell anyone about Boomer. Sam’s been here a long time; if he wanted to tell someone about Boomer, he would have already

- Sam beckons him into the library, asking if he would like to read what Sam just took off the bookshelf. Boomer reads the book on the lectern:

- Sam takes out some diamond blocks and offers Boomer a job. Boomer agrees to it and gets fourteen blocks and two Netherite ingots 

- Sam is known in these parts as a builder and will build a proper place to live. Boomer assumes that the Sam from the other day was another body. Sam doesn’t usually go around as himself here

- Sam leaves that body in the library and tells Boomer to meet him elsewhere. Boomer exits the chamber, traveling back to the mountain base and entering the Nether

- When Boomer comes back out through the community Nether portal, Sam is standing there in Netherite to meet him 

- Sam asks if Boomer knows about the prison. One of Sam runs the prison. Sam walks Boomer to the bank. There’s someone there that Sam wants them to meet

- Hannah comes over to the bank, ready for her first day as the bank manager

- Sam introduces Hannah and Boomer. Hannah wonders if they’ve met before, and Boomer says she seems familiar somehow even though he’s never met her before. Maybe she’s similar to someone he knew?

- Sam and Hannah clash over what Hannah did at the Banquet. Hannah insists that it’s all in the past and things have changed

- Hannah tells Sam that it wasn’t even her who did it. She was under the Egg’s control and thought she could fix things

- Sam wants to give her one final chance to be the bank manager. There are several rules involved, and Boomer is going to be working at the bank as well. Boomer is going to be working directly alongside Hannah – above her position

- Hannah and Boomer are going to be helping to build and collect resources for the bank

- Sam asks the two of them to go get quartz and iron. The two quarrel a bit but Sam gives them the orders to go start collecting and leaves them to it

I just read this (old) post by @stellocchia (hope you don't mind the tag) and the most interesting part about this is this point:

Now this is big time interesting. Quackity wants to build a whole highway system that he would have control over. That’s an interesting way to get power.

Why, you may ask. It's because this isn't the first time this idea was brought up: in Quackity's very first vocal appearance on the SMP (on 5 August 2020), he suggested to Tommy to build a minecart highway system to capitalize on (quite literally, in the 'exploitative capitalist' sense) and/or to rob people on.

For the record, the idea for the Phantom Membrane Cartel was established the day after that, but the capitalist idea behind it (a scarcity-based system) was conceived in a conversation during the stream/VOD linked above, within the first few minutes of the timestamp of the link.

I don't know if this is going to go in any analysis direction, but I personally found this tidbit quite interesting since I've been rewatching the old VODs to write an analysis post recently.

The man was in the military for I believe 11 years and got out in 2016 if I remember correctly

He was a jag corp and a court reporter and while he was never in actual combat he has complained several times about when he was drafted to Iraq to sit in an air conditioned office mess with a computer and twiddle his thumbs so some guy could check off a box on a form

He's been married to his absolutely wonderful wife Mrs Wels for over 6 years I believe

He grew up in Wisconsin and is a massive green bay packers fan as you can tell by his Twitter when it's game day

He got the name Welsknight by combining his church name and his school mascot, church name being shortened to Wels and mascot being the knights and there you go: Welsknight

Despite his minesona most frequently being drawn with long blond hair (in the past mainly) he actually has short brown hair hence why people have changed designs to give him brown hair (I give him brown roots that fade into the blonde, thank LT for that idea btw)

One of his most played games is Monster Hunter World and it was very entertaining to watch him stream it during his burnout even when I had no idea what anything was in the game

He's 5'10 and his birthday is actually coming up soon (October 27th) so he'll be 31 in a few weeks or so

He knows how to play guitar and drums but sold his drum set

His family is very musical and they did a Twitch Sings stream together a while back but I don't think the VOD is still up

As a child where he lived parent-teacher conferences n stuff would often be at the teacher's house and one time he went to a teacher's house with his mom, said teacher had a cat and said the cat was really sweet. Turns out no it wasn't because that cat scratched his face the fuck up basically traumatizing him and that is why Wels hates cats

In one of his couple craft episodes Mrs Wels showed him a baby bunny and immediately after she mentioned there was one he pulled out his sword and said "where" then proceeded to hit the bunny when he came over to it

Underneath The Stars {Captain Rex}

The stars looked brighter that night on that unknown moon, Rex overlooked into them searching for something. An answer perhaps, anything to guide his way on the new reality of what his older life had become. He oversees the helmets on the valley of the wreckage. Jesse’s helmet hunts his mind and heart, how they were use as pawn for a trick. A mere trick to take over the galaxy.

Rex quivers at the thought of losing his brothers and he for once he cannot stop the tears from dropping. He sobs and mourns throughout the night as the stars shine brightly.

“They are up there now” a voice says from behind Rex, a shadow looms until the light of the stars shine your figure. The captain - whom never liked being a commander anyway - takes a ragged breath as he does not meet your gaze. You frown, following his gaze towards the makeshift cemetery of clones.

Your heart skips a beat as your gaze falls on Jesse’s helmet. Your best friend. Dead. Tears threaten to fall but you push them away. You must remain strong for Rex.

Silence is the only thing surrounding you and for once the Force flows peacefully. It emits warmth and you enjoy it for the time being. You take a few steps forward and plop down besides Rex. Your mind betrays you as you remember how the cruiser fell through the clouds. You remember how Ahsoka didn’t almost got on the bomber with Rex. You remember how you stood behind trying to save your best friend. And failing miserably.

“Jesse! Please this isn’t your doing. Let me help you” you shout over the sound of the cruiser breaking apart. The clone managed to pry himself up, hand on his DC-17 blaster pistol as he points it towards you. The pistol does not scare you away, in fact you stalk towards him with your hands up.

“Please” you whisper as you come to stand in front of him. Jesse cries and trashes in his mind. His subconscious screaming for your help. He knows that it is not his doing but in fact he is being controlled by something rather dark. He wants to scream for you and he tries but he cannot stop pointing his pistol towards you.

“Y/N” he croaks trying to regain control of his mind and body. He fails. “Jesse, I’m right here” you mumble as you feel the cruiser fall faster. Time is running out for you and Jesse. “We have to leave, please” you beg holding out your hands for him to take. You wouldn’t leave the ship without your best friend. Jesse knows he will die. He must do anything to protect you, it is too late for you to make the jump.

Everything happened way too fast for you to think. Jesse with his last free will wraps himself around you, acting as a breaker for the fall. And you fall. Hard and fast. The landing of Jesse and you in his arms alarm you as you try to pry yourself from the iron grip. Black dots form on your vision as you try to comprehend the situation. “Jess” you mumble trying to feel the man but you feel nothing as darkness envelops you. As you fall unconscious, Jesse lets a ragged breath as he feels free at last. He knows he is dying. He basks in the moment of holding you one more time before parting into the stars with the rest of his fallen brothers.

Rex had found you wrapped in Jesse’s embrace, he feared that he lost you both. But his brother managed to save you. The image alone would hunt Rex for the rest of his days. As you break free from the clutches of the memory in your mind, your hand finds Rex’s. Linking yourself to him, your head falls on his plastoid covered shoulder. For a moment you do not find the strength to speak. Silence is the only thing engulfing you and Rex, aside from the stars and the warmth of the fire you and Ahsoka had made earlier in the evening. The Togruta has gone to the night watch, making sure no clones or anyone has tracked you down which you highly doubt.

“Everyone must think that we are dead” you manage to say as your gaze lingers too long into the fire. The comment makes Rex blink until he manages to grasp your chin softly and turn your face towards his. He manages to meet your gaze this time and the usual charm in your eyes has been lost. The blonde clone has no words for you. He hasn’t spoken much since he and Ahsoka landed the bomber on the moon in order to find any survivors. A few words shared but nothing else.

“Perhaps, but we have survived. You know the truth. We survived” and they didn’t he wanted to say but the words did not made their way for you to hear them. Rex cannot bring himself to remember how you pushed Ahsoka towards the bomber and stayed behind. He watched how you ran back for Jesse, he feared for your life. The captain did not see you again until he found you amongst the wreckage. He had no idea how you survived the fall but seeing Jesse underneath you made sense. A crude death for his brother, a sacrifice he made in order to save you.

The stars still shine, they twinkle and your heart cracks. Jesse, Fives, Tup and the rest. And even the ones whom you assume that are as well dead. They are up there, you tell yourself as the tears finally fall. Your heart bleeds for your family. The family you managed to built thanks to a war which only led you to lose it as well. You think about your master, Obi-Wan and for your older friend Anakin, in hopes of believing that they survived. Being left in the darkness with no chance of surviving, just hope. That’s what you have now, hope.

Hope is a bright star in a hopelessly dark universe. Through light years of distance, the brightness fills our inner selves. Hope makes people smile on the inside as well as on the outside. Hope is not just an emotion, it is a promise that smiling and laughter are just around the corner. When the fighter has been laid on the canvas by a well placed right to the jaw, hope is there saying, "Get up. Take a nine count if you must, but be ready to stand, and have the ref dust off your gloves. You're going to win this match." Hope is drawn to the person who sees beyond the present defeat, beyond the moment of being cast down, beyond the loss of the job, and beyond the negative words of hopeless voices. There is that voice from the "bright star" telling the galaxy to look beyond the darkness - to the bright light of hope.

Rex gives you hope and love as warmth fills you again. You lay under the stars, which were like a beautiful, surreal blanket above your heads. You could feel his heartbeat against the back of your head, and could hear the soft breaths of him by your side. That's when it hit you: Sometimes you are like stars, you fall to make someone's wish come true.

The captain takes a deep breath as his eyes follow the twinkling stars above your heads. His lips part as he cradles your hands. “Ni su'cuyi, gar kyr'adyc, ni partayli, gar darasuum.” He says and you follow him through repeating as well. In your mind you repeat the names of the fallen.

“I'm still alive, but you are dead. I remember you, so you are eternal” you whisper softly the Mando phrase in your own language. You hide your face in Rex’s chest, perhaps darkness has bestowed upon the galaxy but your love has light in it big enough to keep you and Rex sane and alive.

As you lay under the stars you manage to find peace within yourself and Rex. Perhaps you might be on the run but your lover remains by your side. You have lost your family but you have love and life. And you must celebrate it. Perhaps not now but later when the galaxy finds peace once again.

“Ni kar'tayl gar darasuum” Rex whispers loud enough for you to hear. Your heart skips a beat as you meet his gaze, “I love you too, Rex” you mumble brushing your lips against his.

Rex holds you gently, cupping your face with one hand. He leaned down and softly kissed the tender area at the base of your neck. Yout body went rigid with surprise as trembles shook your body and the euphoric warmth blossomed within you once more. You were breathless with delight as he showered you with gentle, soft kisses, each with its own flicker of warmth. You gazed up at him, thrilled beyond words to be the recipient of his affection. Rex drew back again and spent a moment studying your face.

The stars managed to make your eyes alive, and for an instant Rex was drawn back to Coruscant, to his vods, to you. You are the living memory of his brothers and of his former life. You are the only string that keeps him remembering the happy times that he had with his brothers. With his general. With Ahsoka. With you. And he smiles. For one he smiles genuinely.

You felt your blush deepen under his scrutiny. Rex gazed at you lovingly, his eyes softening with tenderness before sparking with something else. He tilted you head to the side and kissed you, his lips demanding. You felt a smoldering heat deep within her as Rex’s grip tightened, crushing your body to his, gentle yet firm. He slanted your head further, deepening the kiss.

The eerie darkness of the night would never escape your memory. You think of the pitch-black curtain draped over the sky, and the twisted, warped shapes that the stars made against the blackness. The milky speckles twirled and danced along the sky in various patterns, tugging at the corners of your lips in a way that almost made you smile. Rex still by your side, the kisses shed by him sparking a fire in you alive. It was hard to shove aside the worries corrupting your mind, but eventually, you stopped thinking. You weren’t alone. You have Rex. Nothing bad from your life could touch you. Not a single thing could harm you or Rex. As you stared up at the sky and studied the silver glow of the stars. They smiled down at you with love so intense it warmed your soul like a fireplace on a cold winter's night. And there you were, laying underneath the stars at midnight to escape your life at the moment, not wanting to do anything but enjoy the moment with Rex. But the look that the stars gave you didn't cause the storm to go on inside of you. Instead, a hot blue fire flickered in your heart and soon started to grow, eating at all of the dark emotions in its path. Your worries burned away, and the tears that were starting to form again at the corners of your eyes melted down your cold face with a rush of relief.

Crying felt good, especially when they were tears that you didn't want to push away. They weren't drops of sadness, no. They were more like the feelings of joy, relief, happiness and freedom streaming away from your hurting eyes. They were temporary cleaners to wash away the pain. You never cried, it just wasn't you even when you lost troopers or anything. But this night, under the protection of millions of stars and the beautiful moon, you felt like you could let the floodgates open with a single snap of your fingers. You stared up at the sky and continued to let your pain run away for the moment. The cold midnight winds rolled in and tickled your body as you layed on the floor, not ever wanting to leave. Not ever wanting to leave Rex’s side. Or the peaceful moment.

You smile at the twinkling stars, knowing that your vods watch over you amongst the stars now.

Summary:  When Tup murdered General Tiplar during a battle, Anakin Skywalker and Captain Rex dispatched Ahsoka, Fives, and Yara to solve the mystery that was plaguing the Clone Army. Meanwhile, Senator Padme Amidala contacted Commander Fox, Commander Tori, Riyo Chuchi, and Dipper to help her continue investigating the death of Palpatine, suspecting that Dooku was behind the evil plot. But when Dooku send an ISB agent to stop them, the team had to race against time to search for the truth, which could alter the course of the galaxy.

Navigating through the asteroid field, Fives and Yara gripped on the steering, carefully avoiding from getting hit. They didn’t expect the navicomputer to fail them, but here they are, trying to key in the coordinates.

“Any luck?” Yara asked, as Fives slammed his hands on the ship’s panels.

“This thing doesn’t seem to work,” Fives groaned, as he punched the computer with his fist twice, hoping it would work. “Fuck, we didn’t have this kind of issue when we first boarded.”

Turning her head behind, she got up and rushed towards Tup’s aide, checking his breathing. Thankfully, there were no droids breaking in like the last time, but Yara still felt her stomach turning. She felt eyes watching from every corner of the ship, waiting to kill her.

Something is up , she thought, her fingers shaking. Grabbing her torchlight by her utility belt, the ARC Trooper tiptoed towards the engine room and opened the door, only to find the smoke coming out from the pipes.

From what she recalled, General Skywalker told them that the ship was in perfect condition. All the engines were inspected and there was enough fuel for the ride. But when Yara touched the pipes with her gloved hands, she exclaimed in pain, rubbing her hands on her armour. Fuck, it burns like hell!

As she got out of the engine room, the ship bumped into a medium-sized asteroid, causing her to lose her balance and fall on her face. “Oh fuck,” she cursed as blood dripped from her nose. “Why does this always happened to me?”

Pressing her hands on her bleeding nose, Yara clung onto a bannister attached to the wall and got back on her two feet as she rushed towards her ailing brother, who was still unconscious. “I got you, vod,” she spoke to him, gripping on his gurney. “Don’t you worry about a single thing. You’ll be fine sooner than later.”

She maintained her balance with Tup behind her when she walked into the cockpit, and found Fives desperately searching for the source of problems that caused them in this situation, hoping they could get back to base as soon as possible. “Did you find anything?” he noticed her holding Tup.

“Well, our engine is fucked,” she informed him, reaching for her handkerchief and pressed it against her nose . “It was smoking hot when I checked. What about you? Did you check the navicomputer?”

“Not really,” Fives shook his head, pointing at the asteroids in front of them. “I am currently busy with how not to get ourselves killed in space, again.”

“Fair enough,” she relented, as he did his best to fly to the end of the asteroid field, narrowly scraping the surface of the ship. He needed an opening if he were to jump into hyperspace, even if the engines were malfunctioning.

In a time of emergency, Fives would stop on a nearby system to fix the ship, but with Tup desperately needing medical care, he had no other choice. If his brother was going to make it, he had to make another jump, even if it meant risking his and Yara’s lives.

They’ve braved the worst-case scenarios on Umbara, when they had to fight their enemies on a gloomy planet. They were also close to execution as well, but they still lived to fight the next day. We can make it off this rock, he narrowed his eyes in determination. We’re almost close.

But he spoke too soon. As he flew through the cracks between the large rocks, an enormous asteroid hit their shuttle’s exhaust, triggering the alarm on the ship. “Crap, we’re hit,” Yara shouted, crouching underneath the cockpit with Tup.

“Brace for impact,” Fives warned her, as he jumped out of his seat and leaned closer to his brother and sister, shielding them in his arms. As much as they fight each other, Fives cares about Yara and Tup, and he would mourn if they both die in front of him.

The ship entered the atmosphere of a secluded planet in flames and crashed onto the grassy surface, leaving a huge debris behing. Coughing from the black soot, Fives put on his helmet and broke the cockpit window with his foot, turning to Yara, who was rubbing her head. “Come on, let’s get out of here.”

“I can’t feel my left arm,” she cried in pain as she clutched to Tup’s gurney with her other arm. “I think I broke my bones again.”

Pushing out Tup from the ship, he carried his injured comrade in his back and jumped out of the combusting ship, before it let out an earth-shattering explosion in the middle of a prairie field. Yara could feel her head throbbing as she felt a metallic in her mouth, along with dizziness and nausea.

”Well, I would say that was a great landing,” she pointed out. “Well done, Fives.”

Fives checked on Tup, who was growing paler than usual. “We have to get help for him. If we sent him back to base, he wouldn’t make it.”

“But what about Master Kaarim?” Yara protested his decision. “General Skywalker ordered us to-“

“I know he did,” Fives interrupted her mid-sentence. “But we have little of a choice. Besides, your arm is broken and I know that you’re having a concussion right now.”

As much as she wanted to disagree with him, he had a point. This was a life-and-death situation, and they needed to save Tup if he was going to stay alive. They also don’t have a ship to leave the planet, which means they had to stay somewhere for a couple of nights. She wasn’t sure if the locals would welcome them, but they’ll have to make do with what they have.

“Alright, Fives,” she nodded. “I trust your decision. But after Tup and I are healed, then we’re getting off this rock. We can’t stay here for long. The Empire is on our tail, and endangering others is the last thing we want.”

“You can count on me, vod.”

Dragging Yara and Tup with him, Fives wandered across the plains, gazing at the golden grass and the cool breeze in the air, along with tiny dots of angel’s breath. The sky above them was tinted with orange, and the sun was the colour of the ocean, which was intriguing for the both of them. Having been stuck in space for a while, the duo were glad to see a change of scenery.

“I’m just going to sleep for a while,” Yara yawned, closing her eyes. “Wake me up once we arrive at a town or something.”

Fives chuckled. “And once we’re in town, I’ll just let you walk on your own. You're way too heavy for me to carry.”

“Fuck you,” she slapped his cheek lightly, much to his amusement.

“You’re a lazy bum, you know that? You’re only good at eating and sleeping, that’s all.”

“Well, it’s a brilliant talent and also, if I’m too heavy, then you can just put me down right now.”

“Your head hurts. It’s best if I carry you instead.”

“Suit yourself,” Yara chortled. “Also, Tup is going to be okay, right?”

“He will, Yara,” Fives consoled her. “He will.”

!! cryptid!!! friend!!! hello!!! thank you for asking!! Often I am no thoughts head empty about like, actual skill things, but I do have some thoughts for you :DD! (Also nice new pfp by the way !!). I also got very distracted while writing this. It's late. Oopsie.

Under the cut as usual Cause I Talk A Lot.

The first thing to say about it is ?? it was just a Very Nice Time. Everyone pretty much unanimously agrees that the vibes of mcc14 were Very Off, and I also came away with. eek. awkward. people are sad and unhappy and that is bad. mccp was also super good (and for a good cause!!) but I felt this one even surpassed it in Good Atmosphere. I watched Pink from Ranboo's pov live, and then watched Green from Phil's pov in the evening (/morning cause I fell asleep watching it lol), and I'm even debating watching Red from Quackity's pov despite it being an almost four hour VOD and I do not have the time for that, it was just. Such a nice time!! I can't actually speak for other than Pink and Green but. I understand completely why it is adored.

To preface, I don't know anything about being good at video games. Much less Minecraft. I spiritually relate to mister Pants in this position. I am tossing stones in this glass tumblr blog. I don't look at the Reddit, either.

For Pink, I have to say I Am So Proud of Ranboo. I am so proud of him. That's my parasocial relationship! He's come so far and he says he's not good at the game but h e i s. I'm very glad that they got parkour tag first, specifically because Ranboo did really well and he deserved to have a good start. Something something morale and surprising people, but also I just think he personally deserved it. I hope he comes back for more tournaments, it's no secret that i adore he but like... great attitude..... generally very versatile... he's not the best best pvper in the world but pvp but shut.... I'm so excited to see him come back and do even better. I hope he'll be a regular, and tbh since he's so happy and excited about it and also happy to be paired with anyone I think he will be. My streamer is so cool.

Wilbur and Tubbo also did extremely well!! Top ten?? My streamers?? My streamers constantly underestimated because the reddit is mean to them for some reason??? Admittedly I don't know much abt Tubbo in MCC because this is my first time watching his team, but, give him more credit he knows what he's doing D:. And Wilbur, I have been watching him in the past two MCCs and I know he's been trying so hard and constantly being just cut short. He just wants to do well and be a good support for his teammates,,, mister Soot... holding gently.

I am not too familiar with TapL, other than he's usually at the front of races, but second individual is Super Super Good. I am proud of him too. I've also not watched him because I'm not very into speedrunning (see above where I. I don't know a thing about Minecraft lol) but he's so cool I may have to. The universe is telling me watch Tapl. But he's very cool. Not a lot for me to say abt him since I knew him as a really good player and he ended up being a really good player!

Pink's overall communication and chemistry was So Good. It was so good that I didn't even think about it being a factor until I watched another point of view, and Green sort of fell apart a bit and I was like, huh, wow, okay. No offence to them, but they had a sort of rough start with Battlebox. It was a tiny bit secondhand embarassing because it's just nooO listen to eachother,, listen,,,,

They also had a rough entirety with Connor. Poor Connor. I say this with absolute affection, I think Connor's really cool and I like watching his streams and also it was funny, but CoNNOR,

He had to be taught how to play the game During the game. I don't think he'd used an Elytra before the tsf map?? Or at least it had been so long he forgot?? Nobody told him about 1.9 combat changes until chat told him during the game. Phil had said on stream that he was trying and failing to round people up to practice, but, they should've at least ran through the game mechanics with the man. Tell him the event started an hour before it should've or something and play on a realm and refresh stuff he Will Need. And then Sands of Time, where his game was bugged, everyone assumed he was just incompetent, and then he sounded very calm so nobody realized the gravity of How Much Sand.

I'm not saying he's not just bad at the game, (well. he's probably average at the game, honestly, but in comparison to people who have spent their career in The Craft), but I think with a little more support in some areas he wouldn't have done as poorly. This is also totally not salty or anything, it was Very Fun to watch the poor man trying to navigate Minecraft, and everyone had fun so!! Good. Rights.

(It was also very funny when Phil and Fundy both tried to compliment him and Discord cut it off. MAN CAN'T CATCH A BREAK!)

To speak more positively, they really managed well in sky battle and survival games. Tommy is always an excellent leader for those sorts of things and managed to even keep Connor alive until the end of SG, and I think they did very well in sky battle too?? I can't completely remember. Phil trying to coach Connor through TSF was also nice to see, even if the time ran out before he could actually manage to do it.

I don't know why I've based my metric of teamwork on Connor. It's important to uplift the weak link, I guess! Like I said, I am not upset about it or salty or think that they're secretly Bad Team Players or Bad People, it's just an observation. They're all individually great members of a team, and I've seen them all work well in the past!

Fundy was also there. Fundy did good. I didn't talk about Fundy here at all. I can't remember much about what he did.

I would also like to take a moment to talk about Purple Pandas, because they were at the root of Pink Parrot's failures and I think that is hilarious. Wool'd em in Battlebox. Killed them early in Sky Battle. And then, finally, killed Ranboo in SG. I just thought it was really funny.
