absolutely lost and enamoured: algorithm recommended a couple of facebook groups for me, this time about old houses and restoration and returning historical homes to their former glory from underneath years of paint and lacquer and wallpaper and carpet.
good gods imagine living in a house built in 1800s. what a wonderful ghost must it be, sated and satisfied, and murmuring with past and curiosity.

Can some people pls stop referring to non-humanoid sapient characters in fantasy as animals? 😑
I know that it isn't a big deal since we're talking about pure fiction without any relation to real world, but it's just... Weird? The characters can be written as people, framed as people, included in setting as people, but for some fans it still will be "animal" or "beast" or "another character's pet" or at best "almost like human". Dude, inside of the setting they aren't "almost like humans", they are equal to humans

"Shipping the two female characters in a (woman-man-woman) love triangle isn't the progressive/feminist move ya'll think it is."
"Yeah exactly I'm looking at you Talia & Selina shippers and Korybabs shippers"
Have you considered
It's not that deep
Mostly people are just having fun with these kinds of ships and in theory, it's a funny way to solve the love triangle for those characters. What it isn't is an agenda and a way to feel good about yourself for "leaving that man behind". It's fun and there's no reason to yuck people's yum when it's not bad in any way. When I see a ship battle going on and I go "what if the girls just kiss each other" it's not me trying to be progressive it's just me not having to pick a side and having fun on the internet. It's really really not deep I hope you get it

i reblog a lot of posts that are like "i wanna talk about my blorbos but all the thoughts i have are just auughghhs" but that's not quite true for me i think. it's more like "i actually have a LOT of comprehensible thoughts about my favs that i even know how to put into words" but 1. what if i'm misinterpreting them what if i'm reading too much into something or taking it at face value and everyone is gonna see my bad takes and think "look at this fucking idiot that can't even understand their favorite character's Themes" and 2. That One Part of my brain is constantly going off like "YOU CANNOT SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS BECAUSE THE FACT THAT YOU HAVE THEM MEANS YOU CARE ABOUT THIS AND CARING ABOUT THINGS IS CRINGE"

Callum’s notebook contains lists of useful spells not only for Sky, but also other Sources - in case he has access to resources and/or forges another arcanum.

people have stopped thinking and analyzing, using critical thinking, as soon as someone having the most distant influence says something, it is immediately accepted as the truth. It's scary how a fandom can turn into a complete mess just because of a few words taken for granted

There should be like a snappy German word for "I've never particularly enjoyed that thing but it used to have a soul and now you went all capitalist on it and made it hollow and sanitized and soulless and so I hate it and I hate you with as much passion as if I had been the biggest fangirl of that thing before".

I hate with great passion how almost every big fnaf theorist titles and generally markets their theories as facts. And by that I mean naming their videos things like "I solved x fnaf game", "we ALL missed that thing about the lore" (yes I'm looking at you Matpat and Fuhnaff).
I even more hate when their fans pull the "oh, but they can make theories, you don't need to get mad". No, you cannot pull the fucking "but it's just a theory" when they treat these theories as facts and won't take any bit of criticism.
And yes I'm pissed off at how influential these theories are to the community even if they don't have any solid evidence or have major problems and holes in them but their creators don't bother to even acknowledge them and just pretend they don't exist to fit into their narrative.

Honestly, assuming that something was made in Russia just because it's in russian language is the same kind of dumbass as assuming anything in English language was made in UK.
