if you've seen Steven universe how would you compare it to TOH? I've seen many takes that TOH is Steven Universe 'done correctly' which drives me up a wall, especially since TOH has a lot of the same flaws as SU (pretty much everyone has to be tied to steven in some way- the same way everyone's gotta tie into Luz, White Diamond pisses me off for the same reason the collector does and dear god both finales are messes and the worldbuilding is also kind of messy) but pretty much everyone can agree that Steven Universe's themes of restorative justice are good, its themes surrounding interpersonal relationships and intergenerational trauma is good- I've seen people justify how TOH handles its villains 2 ways "its doing steven universe's restorative justice but like correctly" or "its about killing your oppressors, which steven should have done" which is dumb. Idk this fandom has a huge hate-boner for SU and Amphibia in general though. I also saw someone have the take the collector and belos where foils which... Is weird I can see where they come from but they never are put together in a way that highlights their similarities and differences. So what are some actual comparisons that can made between the shows outside of LGBT characters and surface level stuff?

Sadly I have not seen Steven Universe so I can't really comment on much of it. I've seen the first episode (both halves), decided the gems were insufferable to me and Steven was okay and went on with my life because at the time, I was a full time college student and a part time Walmart employee. I do like some of the songs that have reached me but I never got an in with the show, especially since my early experience with it was much like Gravity Falls where I heard a lot of high concept stuff about it but not much about why I would actually enjoy a given episode, what was enjoyable about the characters, etc. like that. Honestly, the only criticism I know of for it is that people hate the ending.

BUT.

I have seen one other thing. I have seen about twenty minutes of the Steven Universe movie. With that I can say one thing definitively even if it's not clearing a high bar: The Diamond's turn to good is better than the Collector's because they have literally ANY reason to listen to the person preaching at them. The Collector doesn't. In fact, he has no reason to reform and it is drastically out of character for him to care about... Anyone?

Let me start on the Diamond's side because I don't have a lot to say about this but it is something I'm surprised I haven't heard anyone talk about: They were clearly traumatized by the loss of Pink Diamond. Whether or not you think this is a good part of the plot isn't what matters, the point is that this is a literal fact to the story. This grief has gone unresolved for literal decades (just going by Steven's lifespan, someone in my Discord provided the context that they blamed themselves for her DEATH, not just disappearance, for CENTURIES which only bolsters the point I'm making) and has festered in them a desperation for their old comrade? Friend? I don't 100% know but you get the point. So when her son arrives and can't be kept by force, they're going to be pretty amenable to listen to whatever demands means keeping him around. Is that great? No, I wouldn't say it is as the question of what happens when Steven dies is there but it works for forcing them to consider the consequences of their actions and how they may need to change to have the life they desire. It is a compelling force for the first step of change. It's not amazing but it is at least functional from a narrative standpoint, an emotional standpoint and from a character standpoint. Not that it's great but that it is functional. You can string together how this works without having to just invent bullshit.

The Collector has none of these three because he's the literal fucking worst.

I've talked about this before but the Collector isn't the child the fandom treats him as. Even if we try to disconnect the second season version of the Collector, who very much so knows what death is and the consequences of his actions, S3 Collector does have a foil to Belos: He's an actual colonizing piece of shit. Not in that he is literally colonizing places but in mindset. Everything to him is something to be used for his entertainment or enrichment or it is to be stripped of all rights and brutally oppressed until it fits the role he desires. This is what happens when you become a LITERAL. FUCKING. DOLL. And he even has enforcers like the armies colonies would use that have wildly more powerful magic, i.e. technology, in order to make that oppression more seamless. Remember: Hexside is actively hiding from roaming stars that he just has going around the Isles that hoover up people, making at least those who resist into dolls immediately without question, and then bringing them to him to be new play toys in his game. That is explicitly what he has been doing to the entire Isles for MONTHS once S3 episode 2 happens.

People do not matter to him and this even extends to King. When King steps out of line, The Collector cracks the whip. He's even willing to KILL KING for having the gall of caring about anyone other than him. Those death games would be just as lethal to King as it would be to Eda and Luz after all. And if you actually do divorce S2's "PLAY AMONGST THE BONES!" line (which is fucking awful because you have to remove literally all of the first appearances of a character which is usually considered, you know... Bad) and believe that he doesn't know what death is... He knows what pain is. He knows what torture is. He knows the despair of being trapped in a space where you can't move or act or do anything except watch as an observer on a world that could destroy you at any moment because your prison is all of your being.

And then he makes people into dolls, with consciousness, without a second thought. He is willing to BREAK people in order to make them play along. His literal plan was to shatter the bodies of the Owl House trio over and over and over again until they were subservient to his desires. That is WORSE than just wanting to kill them. And he only stops to throw a tantrum because he fails to succeed and starts whining about it like any selfish asshole not getting his way. Not like a child: Like a selfish asshole.

So with ALL of this, what does the show do to try to make him consider the consequences of his actions? Well... Nothing. It claims it's trying to do something but the tour with the trio is much more a circle jerk about how amazing the show was and how much could have happened if not for the shortening ("That sounds like something that could have been its own spin off!" Or whatever King says to Eda talking about her and Raine's time at Hexside) than it is about talking to the Collector. There's a couple lines here and there, talking to him about what works for making friends but does it stick?

No, the Collector learns nothing and in mocking Steven Universe, they make that clear. The Collector is told that people are complex and you must show compassion. Rather than actually believing this, he uses it like a blunt hammer, just like all of his other solutions, to make a problem of his go away. That's why he hugs Belos and assumes it will work. He is not considering the complexity of humanity or the person he is applying this to. It is just to solve a problem so he'll get praised and go back to playing his games. Nothing. More.

And then he fucks off instead of fixing the damage he'd done because why would he stay? Why would he help? He hasn't learned anything and he doesn't want to help these people. He has NO motivation for why he helps save the Archive except otherwise he loses his sweet crash pad. So afterwards? He's gonna go somewhere where he can be himself and not be scolded for it because this toy is no longer fun.

Edit: He does stay to change everyone back from dolls. That much more falls into the "It's the ending, we have to have the problem only he can fix be fixed by him" despite the fact that he is responsible for so much more destruction that would theoretically be pretty easy for him to fix as well. He only does what is demanded of him for the sake of a happy ending, not because of character motivation, not from how I see it at least.

The most condemning part of this is that it's all around Luz. All around someone he doesn't like. He sees Luz as trying to take away his only friend after all and, you know, he is correct about that. They don't even try to hide that fact during the tour. They're still clearly upset with him and not even trying to be his friend, they're just lecturing him. It doesn't work from a character perspective, a narrative perspective or an emotional one. King MIGHT have with better writing, there's a reason I always wanted the Collector redeemed by one of his games forcing him to have to kill King by the rules he made before breaking it and having to face how that's unfair and cruel to others since they wouldn't get that leniency, but that's not how the show plays it. King is an unwilling servant for one episode and then VERY against the Collector in the next until after the death games. When he first shows up, King isn't trying to mediate, he is ready to fight just like the other two. He's not the Collector's friend and he never was so why would the Collector bother listening to him?

That is why me saying the Diamonds, even with my limited knowledge, works better than the Collector is almost literally the worst you can do when it comes to something like this. All the setup is wrong, the catalyst requires explicit retcons and don't work with the character and the payoff is... Nothing. Literally nothing. The only way to have done it worse is to have had everyone praise the Collector before he then stabbed Amity and no one acted like that was a problem. It can only function because we are TOLD he's redeemed even if he never shows it.

Andrias standing alone as a farmer, accepting the punishment for his actions and trying to make better on them, is such better payoff to a redemption arc than anything the Collector gets and his redemption was in character and setup by his past. So then let's get to one of your last points: Why is it that the TOH fandom rags on SU and Amphibia so much, especially for their endings, when theirs is such shit?

Well... Because that's the reputation of TOH. That it is the 'good' one. That it is better than almost all other media. The show itself, with moments like the Collector mocking the SU ending by hugging Belos, reinforces this. As such, for you to criticize TOH as failing in a department that other shows are not rapturously praised for is to fall out of sync with the show itself. As such, all other works must be placed beneath it, especially if those are widely believed to have a flaw in an element to then raise TOH up with. This is part of why so many people want to say the Amphibia ending is wrong because the Amphibia ending is brave and controversial and saying something while the TOH ending?

I mean... Do you really think the Collector's the only part of it objectively flawed like this? Because if a major redemption for your big bad is botched this badly, you can bet other problems exist. I've talked about them at length. But there are probably people out there who would call me the Lily Orchard of TOH if I was better known.

Hi! If I may bring some things up, cauae I haven't really seen them discussed much: 1. It's very suspicious, that it's almost the end of summer and we are seeing some narratives thrown around, him allegedly cheating and K's cryptic cringey post. It's as if that L&S article is playing out right on front of us. 2. I have no idea how anyone believes Austin would be a cheater, when he was in 9 year long committed relationship, and judging by how V is, if he had cheated, we would know by now lol. Meanwhile K has exhibited some very sus behavior, not just with Austin but in general: already circling Elordi when he was with Zendaya, liking V's posts with Austin before she got with him, breaking up with Elordi and jumping straight to Austin, allegedly having something with that Maneskin guy, and then her friend starts dating him later, liking thirsty posts about Paul Mescal last year and being all cheesy with him this year at the Baftas party and then her friend starts dating him. It's like she's always wanting what someone else has. She is def not a girl's girl, and I don't think it's the case of being a wingwoman to her friends, exhibited by the Elordi/Zendaya and V/Austin situations. Also let's not forget her making out with her friend while dating Austin. I’m trying to figure out where to set up an author website of my own so I don’t have to host my stuff on tumblr anymore, but I’m a bit gun-shy in the current moment. I know AI trawling is inevitable in today’s internet, but as someone who’s been doing the indie author thing for some time (and admirably!), is there something you would recommend, best practices or otherwise, to someone just trying to get their metaphorical kite off the ground? or anything you wish you knew when you set up your own author-type socials? any thought at all would be genuinely appreciated.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but afaik nothing approaching best practices has been figured out yet; it's all already happening and there's precious little as can be done to put the toothpaste back in the tube. Of course I uncheck all the little boxes in settings and deny them my consent or whatever, but I don't think a gaggle of unimaginative piss-bellied technocrats who decided it was a sensible use of vast amounts of water and power to teach a computer how to write very badly are what I'd call trustworthy. I'm still gonna move all my website shit off of Wordpress because they won't let me get rid of the stupid AI assistant thing, but that's more a case of their UI being ugly and dumb than me thinking it'll actually do any good.

Best I can tell you on that front is to try to find yourself a niche and develop yourself as an artist from there; "Write the kinds of books you wish other people were writing" is good general advice, and a human operator is always going to be capable of things a predictive network just isn't. Other ppl are gonna disagree with that, but they're wrong. Their understanding of resource allocation and scarcity is just childishly naive and you shouldn't waste your time listening to people who think we're gonna solve climate change with apps or whatever.

Far as social media goes, this is still the best one for hocking books as far as I can tell. I'm hearing a lot of good things about Cohost and Pillowfort, but their user bases are still quite small, and I haven't found the indie author community on Bluesky yet. If Tumblr goes belly up I'll probably end up migrating to one of those first two primarily b/c I think longform blogging is the secret stuff for ppl like me who are just too crabby and agoraphobic to be Twitter influencers; I may not be any good at videos or regular quick posts or documenting the writing process (which is too bad, b/c a lot of my friends who do that stuff seem to be having fun with it), but I sure can Lay Out Some Thoughts in A Few Paragraphs and I like to think that's something ppl expect from a novelist.

Also, never get in a public argument, don't go posting Your Thoughts On The Issues unless someone asked or you feel like you've got something interesting to say, and be very selective with how much and what personal information you give out to the hoi polloi. Those are my 3 rules for how to do social media good.

Caring For Sick Vegeta Headcanons | Vegeta x Reader |

author's note: hi again! this is inspired by some squabbling i did with a friend earlier as he was suffering from a migraine. i wanted to try my hand at headcanons again as well!

pairing: vegeta x fem!reader

warnings: light mention of nsfw topics, like blink and you'll miss it light

Vegeta initially tries to hide that he's getting sick

he's very fucking bad at it tho

His nose is stuffed and he's forced to breathe through his mouth, and you can literally hear the congestion when he talks

He looks so tired, and his appetite is literally halved

"Vegeta, get back in bed." You tell him when he shuffles into the kitchen for breakfast

He may be sick, but he's still Vegeta

Which is to say he's still stubborn as hell

"How dare you talk to me that way?! I am-"

"You are pissing me off." You growl, picking up the nearest kitchen utensil and holding it up threateningly

This is the only time Vegeta wisely picks his battles

He growls and turns around to go back to the bedroom, bundling up in the blankets

"I'm cold, woman." He says when you come into the room with a tray of breakfast for him

You shove a beanie on him that you had specially made just for him, since the store bought ones didn't have a chance in hell of fitting over his mane of hair

he's also just got a big head

Vegeta sneers at you but remains quiet. He knows he looks like a damn fool, but with a bright red nose, there isn't much he can do to seem like more of the prideful, powerful Saiyan he is

You bundle him up properly in the many blankets, fluffing the pillows behind him so he can sit up and relax while he eats

"You call this a meal for a Saiyan?" He snarks. "Looks like an appetizer to the appetizer."

lol @ him not finishing it all

"You... Wouldn't bully a sick man, would you?" His cheeks are flushed with embarrassment

"Of course not." You smirk and kiss his cheek. "But I certainly will bully a shit-talking prince."

"Please no."

You give him shit for only eating two pieces of toast and half of his eggs and bacon even after he's all better

and subsequently has the strength again to make you regret it

You catch him trying to sneak out of bed to go train, so you quite literally tackle him back into bed

"What... What the hell is wrong with you?!"

"Stay. In. Bed. Vegeta." You straddle him and pin his wrists down. "I am not doing this with you this time. Keep your ass down until you can breathe through your damn nose. Are we clear??"

Vegeta blinks up at you, eyes wide

he's so goddamn hard rn

"Yes... Yes ma'am."

"Thank you." You hiss back and get off of him and go back to the kitchen to prepare his soup

he rubs one out while you're gone

He becomes a stage five clinger when he's sick

He whines if you're gone for too long, or after he wakes up from a lengthy nap and feels lonely

With that in mind, you tend to stay in bed with him. He likes to snuggle his head on your lap and wrap his arms around your torso while he snoozes

You run your fingers through his hair and usually watch a show while you cuddle your sick husband

He's adorable when he sleeps, occasionally adjusting and squeezing you tight, rubbing his face into your tummy before settling down again

He doesn't know why he gets so many sweet kisses when he does wake up, all groggy and confused about why he dreamt of riding Space Mountain with Goku

But he's certainly not complaining about the kisses

When Vegeta starts to feel better is when he starts to relish in being taken care of

He'll welcome all of his meals in bed and enjoy you giving him baths, and in general show his spoiled prince side

It gets to the point where you know he's all better, but the damn man is taking too much joy from being spoiled and pampered like he (in his mind, anyway) deserved

And when he gets to that stage, all you have to do is smirk at him and say one sentence

"Goku's gotten even stronger, I've heard."

That gets him off his ass and out the house again in no time

Bonus- Vegeta Taking Care of You Headcanons

You usually end up catching whatever Vegeta was sick with once he's gotten better

He's definitely not as good as you are at being a caretaker, but he still tries

He doesn't say it much, but he's grateful to have you around for when he's at a low

He does his best to mimic the things you did for him

He's a terrible cook though, so he goes out to various restaurants for takeout while you're unable to cook, otherwise you'll both starve or die in a house fire

He'll draw up baths for you and bridal carries you to the tub, gently stripping you down and setting you into the warm water

You hum softly and relish each stroke of the washcloth that he runs over your body

"Thank you, 'Geta." You whisper

"I wouldn't be much of a mate if I didn't take care of you."

He holds you to his chest and watches tv, your face in his neck while you take naps

He'll kiss your forehead every now and then and pull you just a little tighter to him

He's certainly thankful you're not as much of a brat as he is when he's sick

He usually ends up reflecting on how much you must love him to be able to put up with him, sick or not

"Yeah, well... I love you too, y'know." He murmurs. "If there's anyone in this world who's gonna take care of you, it's gonna be me."

You snuggle up just a bit closer, eyes still closed. "My Vegeta..."

"All yours, princess."

Aiden BPD headcanonsssss because my dad is being weird and I feel weird too

(Most of these are based on my experiences living with somebody who has bpd, and maybe myself but we won't talk about that haha)

Tw for all the things bpd tends to cover (self harm, abuse, substance abuse, and suicidal ideation, brief mention of cannabis in a medical context)

-definitely a big source of trauma is his parents basically abandoning him for long stretches of time

-Prone to splitting regarding them. When they're not around its so much easier to be like "Whatever, fuck them, I don't care." But when they *are* around, they're always so affectionate, a lot of "it's not their fault they're busy", "they don't mean it", kind of thoughts...it's okay Aiden, people can still love you even if they treat you badly :/

-y'all know he's self destructive. Yall KNOW. He's been in 7 different go-kart "accidents", once broke his hip trying to impersonate Tony Hawk, and he WILL be crashing his car into a tree after binge drinking.

-Self harms as a form of stimulation sometimes. He just gets SO bored. Usually will slam his head on the nearest hard object or cut himself with his compass.

-has been to a "wellness center" (mental hospital) after an episode where when his parents were on a trip, they returned and found him catatonic on his bed, he hadn't gotten up for almost 8 weeks and his mattress was stained with urine. Not to mention he'd gotten extremely sick after eating only Ramen. Called this a "blip" and hasn't done anything like this again, but only cuz he hated the hospital so much :/

-not really good at managing his anger. He gets pissed off easily (his jaw starts clenching), but has definitely eased off with the yelling and picking a fight with the person. May say some things he may or may not regret later :/ might like kick the wall or smth too-

-his feelings of emptiness and boredom get really exacerbated when he tries to sleep, so he just doesn't sleep until he passes out from exhaustion.

-extremely rare, but if he cries its almost never the appropriate time.

-his favorite person (and I mean this in the bpd way not just the usual way) was Ben, now it's Ashlyn. She asks Ben for advice sometimes on how to understand him better. Is trying to get better, but he just wants all of her attention all the time. He could make a soliloquy of all the things he loves about her. She's the one who pushed him to go back to therapy and told him "hey, I think you have somethinh"

-Weirdly protective but in a hands off way?? Even tho he really doesn't handle himself well? He knows his friends can take care of themselves but it doesn't stop him from running through the worst case scenario. Freaks out if people are late, especially if they're punctual. Also really defensive of them, they do no wrong in his eyes (except when they do :/)

-used to push people away to avoid disappointment or abandonment, especially because they needed to move so much. All his relationships were very superficial. Ghosted people a lot.

-Has chronic pain as an adult because of all the injuries he suffered through as a kid, not to mention his shitty posture. He takes painkillers, but they leave him zoned out and with even worse insomnia so he doesn't take them a lot. Sometimes uses medicinal weed if the pain is really bad. Ash tries to help by rubbing his back, though she says she's not that useful. He always feels better afterwards tho ❤️

-Smokes if he is really stressed, but he's ashamed about it and tries not to do it too much. Picked it up after stealing some of his mom's cigarettes when he was younger.

-his inner voice is extremely negative and he is generally under the impression that everybody hates him. Tries to act like this doesn't bother him and acts like a nuisance because if everybody hates him why even bother filtering his thoughts or actions?

-why were you even born? Who'd love a screw up like you? Your own parents didn't even want you.

-rejection sensitivity and gets really depressed if he's upset one of his friends. Will usually self harm to cope because he think lashing out will make things worse and he just doesn't know what else to do.

-he loves deeply and he's fiercely loyal. He's good with children. He's a wonderful artist. And he is so very incredibly kind. His bpd does not define him as a person.

I don't know if anybody needs to hear this, but, having BPD is not a death sentence. You're not doomed to be a bad person or an abuser, and I say this as somebody who was abused by someone with BPD (my own father). People with BPD are scared, they are struggling, and most of all, they're tired. If you or somebody you care about thinks they're have bpd, try to contact a doctor or specialist and seek professional help.

Ok since you're a fellow malrido shipper, I must know all your headcanons

I GOT YOU. Some of these are character headcanons but can be used ship wise- Also I am a roleplayer and roleplay them with my friend so I may include little story things from those. Gonna put everything past keep reading because i might have gone overboard (I love them so dearly)

-Malleus calls Riddle his rose, his queen, or his treasure. He mainly uses the first two- the second one being used more to tease him.

-Speaking of teasing- Malleus loves teasing Riddle. Fae in general are already mischievous and Malleus is no different. You even see him teasing Riddle during his birthday jacket card with the whole "I'd bring you with me~" to the deserted island thing.

-Malleus "purrs". There are sound bites i've heard of "dragons" basically creating a rumbling noise with their chest (Malleus denies that its purring). Riddle thinks its nice and has used it to fall asleep before. Audio clip from youtube below.

-Later on they end up having two kids. both girls- Rosemary and Morgan (based on Morgan le Fey). I've created picrews of them that I'll add below.

-Malleus is whipped. He is down so bad for Riddle... most of the time he will listen to what Riddle says and do whatever he asks. He's also offered to smite multiple people for Riddle

-Malleus wants to KILL Riddle's mom. Like... not exaggerating. It's a point of contention between them. Obviously Riddle doesn't want his mother to die- but Malleus thinks she's slighted him and almost gotten Riddle to break up with him one too many times and needs to go.

-Riddle loves being wrapped up in Malleus' tail. It makes him feel safe and also its nice and warm. He can almost instantly fall asleep as soon as Malleus puts his tail over Riddle.

-Malleus is VERY over protective. To points that have gotten them into arguments. Riddle is terrified of being controlled like he was by his mother again- while Malleus is terrified of Riddle leaving him, getting hurt, or dying.

-Sometimes Malleus just teleports into Heartslabyul, scoops Riddle up, and walks off towards Riddle's room or Diasomnia. Doesn't matter if Riddle is busy- he needs his rose. A great way to piss Riddle off sometimes- but he will stop when scolded. Malleus absolutely gets whiny (he will deny it) but will always listen to his queen.

-During Malleus' 4th year he just teleports back when hes not busy to be with Riddle. Even if Riddle is studying he just likes being in the room or holding Riddle in his lap. This also helps with Riddle's stress- as Trey and Cater would be gone so he doesn't exactly have somebody to ground him.

-Riddle is convinced Malleus is cursed and thats why every invite somehow falls through or goes wrong or forgotten. Afterall Riddle prides himself on memory and timing. Malleus still says its impossible for him to have been cursed.

-I... do have nsfw headcanons with them that I will not get into but if you're 18+ feel free to dm me if you're curious lmao

-Malleus is glad he mostly hides his tail because every time its out and he sees Riddle it starts thumping against the ground. He has almost broken his own bed frame when he was just sitting and reading with his tail out then Riddle paid him a surprise visit. As soon as Riddle walked into the room his tail starting thumping and cracked the bed frame

-Malleus has memorized all 810 rules of the queen of hearts before they were even dating. It was when he was interested in Riddle and wanted to do something that would make him happy.

2) amatonormativity is a thing, look it up. i get that it may be frustrating if you are allo to accept that youve been taught a lot of stuff about romance that seems magical and all encompassing and you dont want to give it up, but no one is asking you to do that. i used to be taken aback at some things aro folks pointed out, but as ive read more, ive realized that romance is wonderful to some people but shouldnt be held up as the ultimate pedestal in society. so, romanticize romance and whatnot if you personally want to, but understand that certain social constructs may harm people, especially those who do not want relationships for whatever reason. plus, learning about amatonormativity has helped me positively go about my own relationships- platonic and otherwise! 3) im gonna piss people off with this one, but please stop with the bullshitty radfem takes about cishet men being the ultimate spawn of satan, or something. the jokes here and there were one thing, but some of you guys actually believing that most of what cishet men do is inherently evil is legitimately concerning and this doesnt do much to actually help any matters. no, the man choosing to have another hookup this week or continuing to fuck a female friend-with-benefits isnt the ultimate enemy here against women. most takes on "hookup culture" generalize a lot of people's experiences, and i know there is research backing multiple perspectives on this, but at the end of the day what needs to be realized is that you cannot stop two consenting people from doing things together. it has no impact on you, and does not have a grand impact on society. unless you have definitive proof that whatever evil man you're talking about is "using women", there's no point to what you are saying, and if there is such a man, cishet aro men still are legitimate in their identity. would you exclude gay people from the community because of gay people who do bad things? would you do that for most identities? no? what makes this so drastically different, then? dont pull the oppression argument again for the love of god anyways, i hope all the cishet aro men and aro people in general are having a nice day. you will always be a part of the lgbtq+ community. dont let anyone tell you otherwise, or discredit you for the amount of "oppression" you face, as im sure they dont know half of any struggles you have. and if you (or any queer person in general) do happen to have few struggles, im very happy for you, as that's how it should be!!

LOLLAPALOOZA EXPERIENCE

My review of Lollapalooza Berlin 2024

First of all, have some low quality screen pics!

Hi Carats!

A lot of you asked about Lollapalooza Berlin in private messages, so I thought I’d just write about my general experience for all of you. Especially about SEVENTEEN of course.

So, we were there for both days and explored the whole area on Day 1. There were so many cool stands, though we didn’t check all of them all out. There was a lot of food and drink stands, enough that you never really had to wait in line. Also it was hot. SO DAMN HOT. Drop it like HOT. Runnin’ too HOT. It was basically 32°+ degrees both days all day and damn… but there was enough shade. Especially around the Olympia stadium you could always find a spot to rest and they had lots of resting areas in the shade! It was pretty good!

Queuing for entrance tho was a pain in the ass at first and very unorganized but I guess it could have still been much worse.

Well, since I made some freebies I got to talking to a lot of Carats that day already. It was a really cool experience to chat with them and swap freebies or just giving them out. I didn’t have much for each member but I was pleasantly surprised that Jun’s and Jeonghan’s bracelets were gone first! Well, and Mingyu’s to like nobodies surprise. I gotta be honest and I really don’t want to offend any Mingyu-stans but a few people actually refused other members freebies. I had some general group stuff and diamond-bracelets to represent Carat and I noticed that mostly Mingyu-stans (were maybe not solo-stans but) would not take other members’s stuff. Other people listed their bias lines and may not have ended up with their favs but were happy enough to have something from their bias line. I was very happy that a lot of people asked for Seungkwan – I didn’t realize he was that well-liked! Sadly, though I also had more Vernon stuff because I had more turtle charms, his weren’t much asked for.  

We later went to the Carat café in town which was cool! We managed to get there at a time where the line wasn’t too long – we still wait like an hour but we got to talk to some people and the bubble tea was good. I have a lot of bracelets now, as well as photocards and stickers so I am very happy with that!

Sunday was the worst. Camping started at 6am and when we woke up at like 8am we saw on TikTok that we didn’t want to be there. Honestly, queuing for entrance the second day we already kinda felt ashamed to be associated with Carats. There was so much trash just laying around, it was disgusting. People had left chairs, jackets, blankets whatever there which was really respectless. Security was pretty pissed off with Carats, it seemed – and rightfully so! We could feel how they were already exhausted just seeing people with bracelets, carat bongs ad cut-out etc.

Starting from 10am people were sitting in front of SEVENTEEN’s stage and blocking the view. The organizers had either completely underestimated the amount of Carats coming or they were plain stupid. There was a band paying for kids on that stage and did they get to see them? No! Carats kept blocking the way and parents were scared to enter the area with kids. Whenever they asked for cheers from kids they were coming from like behind the third barrier. In this case, we also were in the second barrer area, so we also were the assholes I guess. We had brought our friends food, since they hadn’t eaten by 12pm and fought our way into the area but after the first band we left. It was so crowded and you couldn’t see anything either way. We made friends with a group of Carats that we hung out with most of the day which was cool because finding a group is always easier than just with two people.

Short side story: Eating ice cream is dangerous, people! As I said it was hot and the ice cream was frozen pretty good – enough so that my lip froze to the ice and my whole inner lip area was torn open. It was a blood bath… so yeah, I may use that for further fics maybe but dear God, I just wanted ice cream…

We went to see Nothing but Thieves and Cro where we stood frontal to the stage in the open area and it was so crowded. Most German carats at least could sing along to Cro, and Nothing but Thieves also was received well, but you could see that all artist that day were annoyed that their fans couldn’t see them and the fans weren’t happy either. They were so done with Carats. Between sets security and organizers worked on making people go back a few steps so people could sit down but it didn’t work well. Nobody wanted to give up their precious spots. We managed to sit for a few times in the open area but damn, it was hard not getting stepped on. Leaving for the bathroom or getting water was nearly impossible. Especially me, who with 150cm am very short, had already given up on seeing anything by then. Some people were nice enough to let me through when they realized just how tiny I am but going without my friend also felt wrong and scary. I don’t do well with crowds, I was kinda scared and also I hate the feeling of not being able to leave.

When I fought my way to the bathroom I spotted a less crowded area in the open area where we stood in the end. Why was it less crowded? Well, Carats in the second barrier area were misbehaving (pushing and stuff) and so the security (I wasn’t there, so I only heard what others said) had put up higher, view-blocking barriers there. A lot of Carats who didn’t want to go into the “hot” or as well called it the “delulu”-area were suddenly unable to see despite standing there the whole day. I know a few who want to refund their tickets tho I don’t know if that will work. I can understand their frustration, however. They were punished for stuff they didn’t do while Carats inside were still able to enjoy their life (*cough* pushing and being rude). This meant we had this amazing view of the stage. What you can see is the raised area but that's only my phone's view, not mine.

We didn’t get to see SEVENTEEN in real life in a way. The only way was the big screens that we could just barely see from below. I could only see the stage if I held my phone up high.

I got to be honest – yes, I can stay I was in the same area as SEVENTEEN, yes, I breathed the same air, and yes, I heard the concert live – but I am disappointed in the Carats who ruined it for everyone.

People seemed to be giving us annoyed looks – especially those who couldn’t really see their artist perform and saw that Carats were sitting down for the stages. Sitting down between sets is cool but refusing to dance with other artists is just plain rude. Hell, I am not even a Cro-fan and barely like any of his songs but it was cool. It seemed as if he had even made his setlist with older, more famous songs so that Carats were not completely lost with stuff they didn’t know.

And also the first band (Deine Freunde), who were there for the kids, commented in a joking way that they didn’t really care about performing and were also just waiting for SEVENTEEN. I didn’t really think it was that funny because what the hell? The band was basically playing for people who couldn’t care less about them…

Well, now to SEVENTEEN’s stage: It was good! Very good! They “only” had 90 minutes which meant there weren’t that many songs but it was nice. It wasn’t completely the set list I expected but it was cool. I could tell that a lot of Carats were sad that the Hip-Hop Unit performed Fire instead of LaLaLi but it was amazing still!

The atmosphere, especially in our more relaxed area, was great. People were singing along and jumping up and down and happy. It was a great feeling.

I know this text is very unorganized and jumping between themes but honestly I am too tired and I still have to think about a lot of my emotions. I don’t think I can watch the livestream/recording – honestly seeing that those rude people who were blocking space and behaved so egotistical all day (leaving thrash, holding signs despite them being forbidden, didn’t let others see their artist and were even respectless to the members’ personal space) get rewarded with interactions and actually seeing stuff while we were just fighting to get a glimpse of them in real life makes me feel sad and tired. It was my first K-Pop experience (except for The Rose which I am not sure if it counts) and I don’t know if I want to go to a concert again.

Before anybody comes at me: Yes, I know people waited in the hot sun for hours to see SEVENTEEN. They didn’t move from their spot just to see them. But honestly, it was just sick how they acted. We all want to see them and they ruined the whole vibe. I never want to be ashamed of my fandom but I was, I am. Because of some delulu-people we were hated by staff and other fans. Did I want to see Deine Freunde, Nothing but Thieves and Cro? Not really. Did I watch them either way because I knew otherwise I could give up on SEVENTEEN? Yeah. It’s crazy and I am sure as hell also part of the problem but did we get a choice? No. It’s not my fault I can’t see above people’s shoulders and god damn, the fucking signs that block the view? Fuck the people who think that’s okay!

Maybe it would have been a better experience if they had let SEVENTEEN play in the stadium itself – it had better capacity and views and people wouldn’t have blocked off so much space with waiting all day. But there were no screens inside so I don’t know…

But on a better note: The members were amazing!

S.Coups is just crazy while performing and he sure as hell knows how to let the team shine, meaning he barely spoke.

Jeonghan was often in focus and still very quiet. You could see him fighting not to cry over his last SEVENTEEN’s stage and members were constantly hugging him.

Joshua, as a translator for them, was often shown as well and damn, he just has the vibes. You could tell he had fun.

Hoshi, damn, I still don’t get how he can so easily make people fall in love with him – he is just a born entertainer! Props to his stylist too, the blue leopard hair? Damn!

Wonwoo, as Wonwoo is, was very silent but he killed all his parts. However, he truly was only shown on his parts so I can’t say much about him.

Woozi seemed a bit off? Maybe he was jet-lagged, maybe he was overheating in his long clothes, but he seemed exhausted. He killed his parts but he was soaked in sweat from the very beginning and I was kinda worried (but maybe that’s also my sickfic-brain, which I kinda hate rn since I really don’t want to project that on the members in real life). However, he danced with Seungkwan when they left the stage which was pretty sweet.

Minghao was cute, so cute. He was having fun and vibing and though not as present as other members, he was very nice on the eyes. However, not his fault at all, but his make-up barely matched his skin...

DK is, as expected, just a ball of sunshine! He is so damn talented and you could see how much fun he was having. He kept smiling all the time and he truly looked so happy.

Mingyu, damn, I get why he is a fan-favorite, I do! He was doing a lot of interactions and well, you could tell whenever he was on screen without looking, cause people kept screaming.

Seungkwan was hands down the one who drew me in most. You could tell how genuinely happy he was about seeing the fans and performing and he just killed it! See thrives on the love he receives and I am willing to fight anybody who makes his smile go away.

Vernon, woah, just woah. He was so very, very present and he has just a crazy stage presence. It was fun to see him enjoy himself.

Dino, my child, was distracted during the beginning ments which was funny as hell and he just had fun. You can tell who he really loves dancing and how his hyungs kept hyping him up was very lovely too see.

All those opinions are obviously fabricated by the fact that I could only see what the camera has shown us but I can’t be completely wrong, I think!

In conclusion: I had fun and it was nice to hear SEVENTEEN live but I am very disappointed in the K-Pop community. Maybe K-Pop isn’t for festivals, maybe they should have had a different concept but I don’t think the fear of the crowd and they way some fans act makes even hearing my favs live worth it. Basically, I was there but it didn’t feel that way at all. I heard them live and I saw them on a big screen which was really cool! But it doesn’t even really feel like I was there – I could just have watched a recording on my laptop too. I could do without the yells of “Omg, I am going to pass out” and “O, I think I am having a stroke, I am so happy” – it’s ridiculous?

Before I am done, I know I have been very critical and maybe that is my post-concert/post-festival depression and maybe the fact that I was pretty annoyed with Carats the whole day – but I really don’t mean to insult anyone. It’s just how I perceived things and I know others may have had different experiences! I want to underline the fact, that I don’t blame the members for anything that happened, they can’t do anything about it. It’s not Mingyu’s fault I was annoyed with his fans! I just wish the love Carats (and K-Pop fans in general) have for their groups be more equally shown. Have your favorites? That’s fine. But just cheering for one member is just awful. Do I stan all members equally? No, I think you all know that I am very much a Woozi and Seungkwan fan, but I sure as hell cheered for all members.

Honestly, the best thing was the interaction with the Carats who enjoyed the freebies and we talked with for some time! There are so many nice people out there and thank you for making Lollapalooza enjoyable!

Lumine

Okay starting off with my personal favourite character 🫶🫶 she’s a BITCH

Not the kind of bitch like, constantly insulting and talking shit about someone bitch. The more witty and condescending bitch

Though she would talk shit about you to your face if she was in a particularly bad mood

Morally grey, though a darker shade of grey

The kind of person you don’t see laughing often apart from at other people’s misery (Aether falling down the stairs)

Judgmental, but fair in her judgment. Most of the time anyway. Sometimes she’s petty af

She’s kind of like an extroverted introvert if that makes sense? She’s completely socially confident and can talk to people if she wants to - she just doesn’t want to

Incredibly assertive and confident in herself in general and isn’t afraid to say whatever she’s thinking, no matter how harsh it may come across

Brutally honest

She’s cold and calculating. Doesn’t smile much aside from when it’s just her and her brother

Deffo has a resting bitch face

She gets irritated pretty quickly, but is also quick to calm down after

Very much a forgive but never forget person

Also very much a revenge person

She won’t stay mad at something for too long unless it’s a huge thing. If it is then 😬

One of the worst people to piss off. If she doesn’t like you, you’ll know. It won’t be pretty. If it’s that big of a thing she would most likely go out of her way to make their life a living hell until she gets bored or Aether steps in

Has a little bit of a God complex I’m not gonna lie

In the sense that she sees herself and her brother as a lot more powerful and therefore - important than the average person

Which they are far more powerful dont get me wrong, but it’s led Lumine to the mindset where she sees those below her as weakish

I’ll get more into this in a future post. It links up to quite a few other headcanons I have

Very very brave though. And not a complete asshole, she will go out of her way to help people sometimes

If she sees someone being attacked by hilichurls she will jump in to fight, no questions asked. She may be a little huffy about it if she’s trying to go somewhere but still

It would take a long long time to become friends with her aside from if shes particularly interested in someone, but when she is genuinely someone’s friend she’s incredibly loyal and protective of that person

She’s interested in people who are strong willed and know exactly what they want and aren’t afraid to go for it

Also she admires those who are logical, don’t freak out over the littlest things and are usually calm and co-ordinated

If they know how to fight that’s also a plus

She doesn’t like making friends often as she and Aether never stay in once place. They travel from world to world and she feels horrible leaving them

DTF. She likes pleasure and is quite a sexual person. If she finds someone attractive and they both want it then she will take it

With Aether -

She’s a much different person around her brother than she is with anyone else

Not completely silent at all, she certainly lets her presence be know, but she prefers to sit back and listen

Oh she’s fantastic at reading people that’s something I forgot to mention

Anyway, with Aether she seems a lot more happier and outgoing

Smiles an awful lot more, though still has her resting bitch face

Aether likes to make fun of her for it

They both like to make fun of each other a lot. Nothing serious or mean or anything. Just little things

Okay they are twins so occasionally mean

She trusts him entirely and it’s evident with the way she acts with him, she’s protective. Not Aether level protective but still quite protective

Trusts him to the point which he knows every single weakness of hers. Every struggle she faces, every thought she has

No one else would ever come close to getting her to reveal any of her weaknesses. Including her friends

She’s properly herself around Aether. Not just cold and confident as she is around anyone else

She’s still confident, but she’s very warm around him

Drags him around everywhere she goes. The two are attached one the hip. It’s like they are one whole body sometimes

Teases him ALL THE TIME

Though it’s a ‘I can make fun of my brother but if anyone else does it they will pay’ kinda thing

Same goes for Aeth

As much as she loves him, the two get on each others nerves

While not usually petty around others, Lumine is PETTY around Aether

Aether makes an off handed comment about Lumines hair one time and completely forgets about it afterwards? Okay! Lumine does his braid rough and too tight on on uncomfortable angle for a month. Making offhanded comments about it every day that sound suspiciously like what he said to her three weeks ago

She forgives Aether a lot faster than she does with anyone else though

Aether

Now Aether! He’s somewhere in my top three I don’t know if he’s second or third but probably second??? Idk

Huge golden retriever energy

Usually a pretty polite guy. Opens doors for people, says thank you and that

Pretty much polar opposite of Lumine when it comes to people, he really really enjoys talking and social interaction with almost anyone

Introverted extrovert, loves being around people but he can’t do it 24/7 without feeling a little drained. Needs some time on his own or with just Lumine to charge up

Super social though, the kind of guy who can go up to someone and just strike up a conversation

Has definitely been invited to a wedding in the first ten minutes of meeting someone before

He just likes getting on with people in general. It’s nice talking with people and can benefit him and Lumine

People are interesting to understand and they can benefit them both by giving them food if they need it, shelter etc etc

Like Lumine - he’s socially confident

After being around people for eons he’s learned how they work, interact, how to talk with them etc etc so he’s pretty confident in that regard

He and Lumine never stay in one place for very long so there’s no good in being nervous around people

All this goes out of the window when he’s crushing on someone

The dudes a big romantic unlike Lumine. He likes romance, she likes pleasure

It’s not really often but when he likes someone romantically he usually becomes a bit more nervous and says a few more awkward things

Laughing at unconventional times

He still knows what to say and is pretty confident, just a bit more dorky and such

Hard to piss off but when you do he gets very very snappy and sarcastic

Surprisingly he holds grudges for longer than Lumine

He’s a revenge person but nothing like Lumine. Usually it’s small revenge like saying something back or trying to embarrass the person a little bit

He’s a little bit immature at times, nothing major but just little things. Usually pretty mature in general

In public Lumine seems like the most mature out of the two when really with each other they both have the maturity levels of bloody children

Morally light grey

Can be a bit overly selfless at times

Has the tendency to overwork himself to the point of debilitating

Please he’s so tired he’s been trying to stop Lumine from annihilating someone for looking at her wrong when she accidentally set the stove on fire, give him a break

He’s a really nice and good guy in general don’t get me wrong but he doesn’t really care as much as other people think he does

I mean that in the sense that he doesn’t have a deep and meaningful connection many things when he travels to other worlds

He doesn’t care about being a hero and actively helping people it just happens - though he’s certainly not complaining

He finds it a lot easier letting go of people when he and Lumi leave to other worlds

In his eyes he’s come, made a good impression and now it’s time to go

It’s different to Lumine as he doesn’t have an emotional connection to anyone there apart from his sister so it’s easier to let go. Lumine doesn’t have as deep emotional connections with anyone aside from her brother, but she still has some form of connection to them

Like I said, she makes very few friends but when she does she gets to know them and like them more just because she spends more time with them individually rather than a lot of people as a whole like Aether does

With Lumine -

Surprisingly, Aether is actually the slightly calmer twin when it comes to their personalities with each other

Only slightly. They are both very much a chaotic duo when they are together

That’s why the had to be separated 😔 causing too much mischief

His personality with others isn’t as different as it is with Lumine aside from he likes to tell a lot more jokes and gets really sarcastic

Sometimes his jokes are to try and gross Lumine out as much as possible

One time he ate a raw egg. Absolutely no prompting at all. Lumine had gathered some food for them to eat in a world once and was starting to cook over a fire, when Aether looked her dead in the eyes and took a bite out of a raw egg

He will always say out of all the years they have been travelling together, he has never seen her with a more disgusted expression at that moment

To make it worse he ever tried to grab hold of her face and give her a kiss on the cheek straight after, leading to the both of them wrestling on the floor

Aether will say he won, Lumine will say she will. Either way Lumine now has egg trauma.

The two bounce off each other in both the worst and best ways

Like he does with Lumine, she also knows every weakness of his, struggle and thought

The two know absolutely everything about each other

He’s much more emotional around her than he is with others

Usually he limits himself to the ‘hero’ prototype people see when they think of him, he doesn’t intend to be a hero but it’s what he usually accidentally ends up being

But not with Lumine, with Lumine he’s completely honest about what he’s thinking and feeling

If he’s stressed he will tell her. If he’s upset he will tell her. If he’s mad he will tell her

He knows he doesn’t have to worry about being seen differently around her

His role with her is to try and get them both out of trouble after she gets them into it

6/10 times it backfires and they end up landing themselves in even more trouble

You can just tell they were both an absolute menace together when they were children

Even though he’s only mere milliseconds older than Lumine, he likes to take the self proclaimed role of big brother very very seriously

Fake scolding her when she gets into shit, always keeping an incredibly close eye on anyone who comes near her. Especially men

He’s really protective of her. Usually he plays it off as a joke but it has led to them having arguments before

When they argue Aether gets more sad then angry, while Lumine is more frustrated

Like usual though, they are both quick to forgive each other after

I know a large part of this could just be the writers becoming more accustomed to the characters personalities and how to play them off for the needs of whatever conflict is the basis of the episode. But I think it is kind of interesting to interpret Edd and Eddy's changing dynamic through the seasons as a form of character development. In the earlier seasons, Edd is a lot quieter, mumbles way more, and is generally a lot more passive. Even though he may have reservations about whatever scheme Eddy wraps them up in at first, he ends up going along with it. In the later seasons, Edd notably becomes way more outspoken, sarcastic, and openly critical towards Eddy. It is really interesting seeing Eddy's reaction to this because suddenly having someone combat with him rather than follow along really frustrates him. Not pointing fingers at Eddy in any way. For a kid his age that is used to being in charge all the time and suddenly having that challenged can be aggravating. As well in Edd's case, becoming more confident and learning to speak up for yourself is also a familiar development to have. Idk I see a lot of people sometimes complain about how the Eds personalities change in the later seasons, but it really makes sense to me. The show focuses a quite a bit on preteen situations. Friends dealing with slight changes in personality and dynamic kind of comes with the package. Either that or I am just reading too much into a cartoon yet again lol. Just thought the observation would be fun to share.

As a storyteller at heart, I love noticing little things like this, how each character changes and develops throughout a show or series. And yea, some of it could be pinned on the writers like you said, but I like to see most of it as development, and this is honestly why I adore the later seasons so much more.

Often times when lurking on the EEnE subreddit I notice so many people complaining bout stuff like this, how Eddy feels more annoying in later seasons, or how Edd doesn't feel like a part of the group and I despise seeing posts like that because of what you've stated exactly.

I like to think Eddy is also to blame in Edd's change. There's probably more to his line "I'm rubbing off on you, Double Dee!" than he realizes. On top of that, I'm certain Edd got tired of getting in trouble so much over things that could have been avoided if he simply spoke up, being the rule-follower he is.

And I think the fact that, despite all of this and all of Eddy's selfish behavior, it's really awesome That Double Dee (and Ed for that matter) never gave up on him. There were times that Eddy really pissed me off in the show in how he treated his friends. But they stuck with him through and through.

And I also think that very statement is why the BPS ended with an apology from Eddy. It wasn't JUST about his Bro. He could have easily tried to play it off and fall back into old habits, but it was Eddy reflecting on his actions that broke him.

"When am I gonna learn, Double Dee?" He asks Edd specifically, which I think is interesting. And maybe it's because all this time, it was Edd who was combating him, trying to better him. And all this time, he wouldn't listen. And here he is, faced with the consequences of his own actions, but instead of playing it off like he usually would, grumbling and blaming it on someone else, he finally apologizes. He finally learned what Edd's been trying to tell him this whole time.

This is also why I'm such a die-hard EddEddy fan, as I'm sure is the case with most people.

I hope this all makes sense by the way, I've had a couple ciders and my head is in the clouds rn lmao

Okay this is SUPER accurate. I’ve legit changed so much in the past 3 years it’s INSANE. Even like, if you compared me to a few months ago. My style changes (like at the root it’s the same but still), hair changes, body changes, etc.) I’m always doing something new. Getting a new hobby (recently it’s logic puzzles and sudoku), starting a new series—YEAH. I like to keep it fresh.

my dad and are cool but like. Our relationship IS strained. Hi, I'm the anon who asked this and I'm here to scream about my MC I am so sorry for how long this is gonna be

Okay, so I call my MC Pandora, I have a reason for it Now, the reason why I named my little MC Pandora was because of this line in the synopsis:

"Your investigations into a strange occurrence will lead you to know far more than you ever intended to, unravelling what may be the precursor to the collapse of the reign of gods…"

Which, to me, sounded a lot like the MC is opening Pandora’s box. Then I was like, “Wow, it would be silly If I named my MC Pandora, and throughout the story and her investigations, it’s like she’s slowly unlocking the box… wait-” 

Ok characterization, in the myth “Pandora’s Box,” Pandora has various characterizations, sometimes being seen as clueless and letting her curiosity get the better of her and opening the box. Other times being seen as cunning, knowing exactly what is in the box yet opening it anyways. I wanted both of these for my baby, a happy middle with a leaning towards innocent curiosity, knowing what's in the box and the consequences of looking into it but letting the curiosity win and then realizing just how grave the consequences actually are partway through, yet instead of giving up and closing the “box” she keeps going because of all that pent up and hidden feelings she’s had about the way she’s been treated her whole life. Because oftentimes, when we do something that has consequences that we know of, we aren’t exactly aware of how bad those consequences are for us and others around us due to our innocence and lack of experience along with the feelings he had at the moment, especially if they are negative ones. In the case of the game, the “Box” would be the investigation and the downfall of the deities; this is what I strive for in how I play as her in later chapters btw.

In chapter one though she’s still in that innocence, she has negative feelings about the other gods, but it’s not to the point where if she was given the option to bring down the gods or leave things the way they were, she would pick bring down the gods, no she would turn her head and choose to keep the things the way they were. Most of her negative feelings are directed towards Salvatore, she really doesn't want to dislike them, but they are everything she isn't, and that pisses her off in a way she can't describe, and it pisses her off when other older gods call them "childhood friends" when in reality they know nothing of each other and in childhood she was just tolerating their presence because their mom is quite literally the Queen of the gods and she'd rather not get whatever punishment is given when you upset her child or whatever. With Luciel, on the other hand, it seems to be a completely different story. She is extremely fond of them, being the god of the only thing that ever be considered something that can last for eternity, death. (unless I missed something and there is a reincarnation system that you plan to add later or something) And also the fact that they gave her a purpose and their generally calming presence (and ofc they're pretty, which helps a great deal with likability) She was always a little curious about Ciocana, always feeling a little... drawn to them in a weird way, maybe it's the similarity of them being outcasts, but she wants to get closer to them, especially after that dance they had. Oh yes, that dance. She had always been fond of dancing; however, she'd never had that much fun doing it before, and the timing was even greater when she remembers bumping into that other god and that nasty numbness she felt afterward. She wouldn't mind dancing with them again. She has always adored humans in a weird way; they basically stood against her whole being, with how short their lifespans were, yet... they made her feel needed in their afterlife, and she has always been happy to help with whatever issue they ask of and the fact that they went to her about it too (even though she's the only option) it makes her feel all warm inside, and I imagine they're the ones who introduced her to dancing in the first place. I don't really want to write much about her opinions on Alessi because they haven't met yet💀

Pandora typically dresses in a mix of all the human-era fashion because her job is so tightly associated with humans it's impossible for them to not influence her in some way. She usually wears Greek and regency-era-inspired clothing, light and airy yet beautiful.

Thank you for reading about my silly I love them, and they can and probably will change quite a bit throughout the chapters, and I genuinely cannot wait to see where the story goes, but yeah, all of this is just based off of the first chapter 💀

Pandora is such an amazing name and works so well symbolically/narrative-wise!! 😭 Especially in a setting that starts out once peaceful and then thrown into disarray when the "Box" is then opened, unleashing unto the world everything bad... but also Hope! You don't know much about Alessi yet, but I feel this also defines their character arc as well! Perhaps you'll see 💕

Oh, and I love how thoughtful you are with how you feel about the ROs! I was definitely trying to emphasize how completely different people view Salvatore versus the MC, which makes for super interesting character foils to one another! Salvatore, the golden child, and MC, "everything they are not." Even with that description, they are defined in relation to Salvatore, rather than evaluated independently. To add salt to wound, people assume you are friends...

Haha, I don't think reincarnation is part of the plan--resurrection or rebirth is against the order of the world! I am glad Pandora has someone she likes, in spite of her negative feelings towards other deities. Luciel is just as fond of her. (... And thinks Pandora is quite lovely, too!)

But 👀 they're also a little curious about Ciocana? Maybe loners just drift to each other!

So interesting to have an MC who is inclined towards mortals and a little against deities, although she would still choose to keep things as they are! I imagined that's actually how I'd feel in MC's situation 😭 begrudging against anyone who mistreats, happy to be of service, and yet not so extreme as to want to participate in overthrowing the gods... for now! 👀
