I am simultaneously deliriously in love with the ending of Loki season 2 and absolutely loathe it

On one hand…Shakespearean tragedy at its finest, essentially circling back to Loki’s original Thor 2011 character arc by reversing it, and Loki has literally ascended to godhood. In the end, Loki’s ultimate selfless sacrifice was to sit upon the highest throne in the multiverse, and that to me is tragically ironically beautiful

On the other hand…Loki being alone makes me want to burn Marvel studios to the ground and do other unspeakable things

This panel will forever have a special place in my heart. It summarises Gojo’s life in such a perfect way that it shakes me to my core. Geto could never be monstrous enough for the yearning to stop. It’s almost terrifying that after ten years, after so many dead bodies and missed opportunities Gojo’s sole regret in life is that he lost him.

I also love the fact that we only see Geto’s reaction to the words. We don’t know if Gojo is looking at him while speaking. Maybe he’s looking at the wall, maybe he’s looking at the ground, maybe he’s looking at his hands, or shoes, like a flustered teenager would. But It doesn’t matter. Once the words left his mouth they weren’t his anymore. They’re in Geto’s heart now and I can only imagine how much they moved him.
