the difference between ascended!elysia and sim!elysia is that ascended!elysia doesn’t know if flamechaser forgave her and how they feel about her after the last banquet. 

sim elysia proves elysia didn’t know how others would’ve looked at her after she embraced her herrscher birth and her herrscher side to become the ‘last enemy’ to unite her friends against one enemy. sim!elysia shows insecurity and nervousness when she goes ‘well since sim!elysia is here, I guess they didn’t hate me’. but it was 50,000+ years of her hanging out with sims, not real people who died while ascended!elysia watched almost everyone from flamechasers die and she could not do anything about it (my personal headcanon).

so in genshin and in her ascended verse, she would be a bit... different, for sure. in ascended verse, she does have regrets in her own way. she gains the sense of ‘regret’ as a human would, her post-ascension self acquired another human emotion and human side. a flaw.
