More abstract concepts appealed to him, like a girls ability to stand up to the biggest man in the room, the feeling between his fingers of how soft a man's hair was, the sound of a person's voice when they yawned and how he could just picture what it would sound like moaning his name, how their hand felt around his and how he could imagine it gripping him tightly as he cuddled them in bed.

She of all people could understand the concept of boundaries.

-as he gets to know her more and her need and craving for touch he realizes he wants so badly to make her feel good. Desperate even to find a way to do that. But he doesn't need to push himself on her. He of all people understands when someone's not ready. Still he hopes one day he can be that one to take care of her.

-cant understand how someone can just want to use someone without their consent. Maybe it was just his bisexuality? But for all his desire to pleasure people he's never looked at someone and wanted so badly to see them in extasy to push them into it or worse...

-only finds out about asexuality during the mid 2000s. The whole thing hits him like a truck. Things making so much sense. Why so many love songs never made sense, why others idea of love and sexuality weren't his style, why rogue was so confused on how he kept insisting he didn't mind they couldn't touch.

-his experience wasn't the norm but he wasn't broken. It's just...like his mutant powers in a way. Just different.

-doesn't know how to tell rogue. Doesn't even know if she will believe him. Maybe he will some day. He may have to write a whole essay first to fully explain it....oof that is not his style. This may take some time.

-Rogue tells him one day that he's not like any other man she's ever met, and loves him for it. He smiles a little. He's glad he's different.

Watched Nimona again and I STILL can't stop gushing over Ballister's design. Like, the animation style with big eyes and prominent eyelashes makes everyone look cute, but I'm losing it over how it makes Ballister look. He already has Big Wet Kitten energy (not cat even, KITTEN) but the style takes it up through the roof. He's a grown man with a Van Dyke goatee, wears black and frowns 80% of the movie but it just looks like someone poured a bucket of cold water over a kitten and the kitten is bewildered and mortally offended this has happened. He looks adorable.

He is the EPITOME of a poor little meow-meow. Early-MCU Tony Stark is eating his heart out over that look. You wanna cuddle him to your chest and tell him everything's gonna be alright but he'd just puff up in offense and squeak that he's a grown man! He's brilliant enough to build a fully automated prosthetic arm and dumb enough to fuck up his own escape because his crush gave him big ole cow eyes. A little girl showed up at his secret lair and refused to leave and he was like "I don't have a cat child. Is this how you get a cat child?"

Like, if graphic novel!Ballister looked like movie!Ballister, he would be the dictionary definition of a poor little meow-meow.

Sleeping in his arms watching a movie on the living room would be common, he'd pick you up in the bride style and put you in bed. "Good night, hermosa." He'd whisper to you as he lays next to you.

“You mess up my hair I’ll shove my drum sticks up your ass, got it?” Tommy says in a joking way as you’re behind him sitting on the edge of the bed, him sitting on the floor in front of you.

You roll your eyes and continue doing your boyfriend’s hair. “I won’t! Don’t be such a drama queen…”

“Hey! I ain’t no Drama Queen, Bitch!” He says jokingly as he shakes his long fluffy hair.

You raise your eyebrows and chuckle slightly at the audacity. “You call me a bitch again and I’ll tickle you.” You threaten as you collect his layered hair again and start brushing.

Tommy snickers arrogantly as he leans back again. “As if you could tickle me…”

The confidence and arrogance that surrounded Tommy always got him into trouble, especially when he had a petty girlfriend. Your eyes narrow as you let go of his hair and give both of his sides a squeeze from behind.

A massive jolt erupts from Tommy, “AH GOD DAMMIT!” He yells out.

The sight of this causes you to giggle at his expression and reaction, also out of pride of knowing you were right.

Tommy turns around and stands up from the floor. “You’re gonna get it now…”

Realisation hits your face as you know you’re gonna get it back. “Oh shit…” You say as you start scooting backwards on the bed.

He notices this and crawls after you on the bed “No you don’t pretty girl…” He says as he pins you down face first on your stomach.

You knew you messed up. Did you regret it? Absolutely not, you loved it when you and Tommy had these stupid play fights but you would never let him know you liked the tickle fights. “TOMMY! No! I’m sorry!”

“You started it…” He says as pins you with his knees on either side of your torso and starts tickling your sides mercilessly.

The shocks of ticklish sensation on either side of your waist causes a loud burst of squeals to erupt from you as you start giggling.

Tommy smiles at the sounds of your squealing and giggling, knowing this was a massive weakness for you. “Who’s the Drama Queen now?”
