ex-husband! gojo who you’ve been seeing more and more lately these past couple of weeks due to your precious daughter being hospitalised.
ex-husband! gojo who spends every moment he can by your side during sayuri’s hospital stay, offering comfort and reassurance whenever you need it most.
ex-husband! gojo who makes sure you never went a moment without support, especially after that encounter with his mother. whether it be holding your hand during difficult conversations with the doctors or fetching you a warm cup of tea when exhaustion weighed heavily on your shoulders, he was more than ready to step up.
ex-husband! gojo who holds your hand tightly during the moments of uncertainty, his presence a source of strength and solace amidst the chaos of the hospital. he listens to your fears and worries without judgement, offering reassurance and understanding in return.
ex-husband! gojo who refuses to leave your side, even when exhaustion threatens to overwhelm him. he sleeps in the uncomfortable hospital chair beside you, his presence a constant reminder that you are not alone in this ordeal.
ex-husband! gojo who takes on the responsibility of keeping friends and family updated on sayuri’s condition, sparing you from having to constantly repeat the painful details.
ex-husband! gojo who brings sayuri’s favourite toys and books from home, hoping to bring some sense of familiarity and comfort to her hospital room.
ex-husband! gojo who helps you keep track of sayuri’s medications and treatment plans, making sure that nothing falls through the cracks during this stressful times.
ex-husband! gojo who, as the days pass and sayuri’s condition stabilises, remains by your side as you prepare to bring her home from the hospital.
ex-husband! gojo who helps gather her belongings and fills the car with comforting blankets and stuffed animals, eager to welcome her back with open arms.
ex-husband! gojo who envelopes sayuri in a tight hug the minute she is discharged from the hospital, tears of gratitude and relief streaming down is cheeks. he promises to cherish every moment with her, grateful for the chance to hold her close. unbeknownst to him, you stood there at the doorway with a soft smile on your face as you watched the father and daughter moment unfold.
ex-husband! gojo who, after embracing Sayuri tightly, helps her into the car with a gentle smile, his eyes shining with love and relief. he settles into the driver's seat beside you, his heart overflowing with gratitude for having his daughter back safe and sound.
ex-husband! gojo who starts the car and pulls out of the hospital parking lot, the tension of the past weeks slowly dissipating as the familiar hum of the engine fills the air. he steals a glance at you, his eyes soft with affection as he took in the tired but relieved expression on your face. you catch his gaze and offered him a grateful smile, your hand finding his on the gear shift between the seats.
ex-husband! gojo who drove carefully, his attention divided between the road ahead and the precious cargo in the back seat. sayuri chattered excitedly about everything she saw outside the window, her enthusiasm infectious as she pointed out landmarks and familiar sights.
you lean back in your seat, a sense of peace settling over you as you watched sayuri and satoru interact in the rearview mirror. despite everything that has happened, you couldn't help but feel grateful for the support and love that surrounded you in this moment.
as the car rumbled along the familiar streets towards home, sayuri’s voice suddenly piped up from the back seat. "are mommy and daddy back together now?" she asked innocently, her eyes wide with curiosity.
ex-husband! gojo whom you share a pitiful fiancé with, feeling a lump form in your throat at the unexpected question. you clear your throat awkwardly, searching for the right words to explain the situation to your daughter. “no sweetie… mommy and daddy are… still figuring things out…” you said softly, a hint of longing laced in your voice as you spoke.
ex-husband! gojo who felt a pang of sadness at the reminder of the complexity of your relationship. he knew that rebuilding your bond would take time and patience, but he was willing to do whatever it took to make things right.
as the car pulled into the driveway and you prepared to unload sayuri’s belongings, gojo glanced over at you once more, admiring you. he was so close yet so far.
ex-husband! gojo who feels a surge of emotions as he watches her settle back into the familiar surroundings of your home. he’s relieved beyond words to see her safe and sound, but as the initial rush of relief fades, a bittersweet realisation settles in. the time spent in the hospital has brought him closer to you in ways he had never anticipated.
ex-husband! gojo who, as the night wears on and exhaustion begins to set in, reluctantly prepares to leave your side. he gathers his things quietly, not wanting to disturb the peacefulness of the moment.
ex-husband! gojo who knew that he had overstayed his welcome, wanting to give you and sayuri space to settle back into your routine.
ex-husband! gojo who pauses at the door when he hears your voice, soft and hesitant, calling out to him. he sees the hesitation in your eyes; the unspoken plea for him to stay just a little longer.
ex-husband! gojo who sets down his bag slowly, his heart pounding in his chest as he searches your eyes for any sign of hesitation or regret. when he finds nothing but sincerity and longing, he nods silently, his decision made in an instant.
ex-husband! gojo who stays, not. because he feels obligated or guilty, but because he wants to. he wants to be there for you, to support you, to help rebuild what was once lost.
ex-husband! gojo who, as days turned into weeks, realised that his feelings for you were far from extinguished: they were merely buried beneath layers of regret and pain. with each passing day, he found himself falling more deeply in love with you all over again, his heart yearning for a second chance at happiness.
ex-husband! gojo who, as he spent more time with you and sayuri felt the walls he had built around his heart begin to crumble. he longed to reach out to you, to tell you how much you meant to him, but the fear of rejection held him back.
ex-husband! gojo who, one evening, found himself standing outside your door with a bouquet of flowers in hand, his heart pounding with nervous anticipation. he hesitated for a moment, the memories of past mistakes threatening to overwhelm him, but then he took a deep breath and knocked softly.
ex-husband! gojo who was greeted by your warm smile as you opened the door, the sight of you taking his breath away all over again. he stammered out a clumsy greeting, feeling suddenly tongue-tied in your presence.
"toru, what are you doing here?" you asked, your tone curious but not unwelcoming.
he swallowed hard, gathering his courage as he held out the bouquet. "i… uh… i brought these for you," he said, his voice softer than he intended.
your eyes widened in surprise as you accepted the flowers, a faint blush rising to your cheeks. he bought you roses — a classic. you could never go wrong with roses. "thank you, they're beautiful," you murmured, your gaze meeting his with a mixture of confusion and curiosity. for a brief moment, the memories of arguments fueled by miscommunication, the frustration of feeling misunderstood that had ultimately caused you to go your seperate ways, all faded into the background.
ex-husband! gojo who took a deep breath, steeling himself for what he was about to say. "y/n, I know things haven't been easy between us, and I understand if you're hesitant, but i... i miss you," he admitted, his voice raw with emotion.
you looked at him, your expression softening as you reached out to touch his arm. "satoru, i... i miss you too," you confessed, your voice barely above a whisper.
ex-husband! gojo who felt a surge of hope blossom in his chest at your words, his heart pounding with newfound courage. "would you, um, would you maybe want to go out with me? for dinner, or something?" he asked, his words stumbling over each other in his eagerness.
you hesitated for a moment, your gaze flickering uncertainly, but then you smiled, a genuine warmth spreading across your face. "i would like that," you said softly, your voice tinged with a hint of nervousness.
ex-husband! gojo who felt a rush of relief flood through him at your response, a sense of joy bubbling up inside him at the prospect of spending time with you again. "great, it's a date then," he said, his smile widening as he reached out to take your hand in his.
you squeezed his hand gently, a shy smile playing on your lips. "yeah, it's a date," you agreed, your eyes meeting his with a spark of excitement.
ex-husband! gojo who, as he walked away from your door that evening, felt a renewed sense of hope and determination. he knew that rebuilding your relationship wouldn't be easy, but he was willing to do whatever it took to win back your love and trust.
ex-husband! gojo who felt his breath catch in his throat as you opened the door, the sight of you in a beautiful red dress taking his breath away. He couldn't tear his eyes away from you, feeling as though he was seeing you for the first time all over again.
you smiled warmly at him, a hint of blush gracing your cheeks as you took in his appearance. "satoru… hey," you greeted him, your voice soft with affection.
ex-husband! gojo who returned your smile with a sheepish grin, suddenly feeling self-conscious under your gaze. "hi, y/n," he replied, his voice tinged with nervousness.
you linked your arm with his, the warmth of your touch sending a shiver down his spine. "shall we go?" you asked, a playful glint in your eyes.
ex-husband! gojo who nodded eagerly, his heart pounding with anticipation as you led the way to the car. he opened the door for you with a flourish, feeling a surge of pride as you settled into the passenger seat.
ex-husband! gojo who found himself lost in conversation with you, the awkwardness of the past giving way to easy banter and laughter. he felt a sense of peace settle over him, realizing that this was where he was meant to be: by your side.
ex-husband! gojo who arrived at the restaurant and was immediately struck by the romantic ambiance. soft, ambient music played in the background, candlelight casting a warm glow over the cozy table for two.
you smiled as you took in the scene, a soft sigh escaping your lips. "this is perfect," you murmured, your eyes meeting his with a tender warmth.
ex-husband! gojo who couldn't agree more, feeling a swell of gratitude in his chest for this second chance at love. he pulled out your chair for you with a gentle smile, silently vowing to cherish every moment of this evening.
throughout the dinner, ex-husband! gojo found himself falling more deeply in love with you all over again. he listened intently to your stories, savouring the sound of your laughter and the sparkle in your eyes.
ex-husband! gojo who couldn't resist the urge to feed you a bite of his cheesecake as dessert arrived, a playful smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "here, try this," he said, holding the fork out to you.
you raised an eyebrow in amusement, but leans forward nonetheless, allowing him to feed you the bite. you roll your eyes playfully as you chewed, a mock expression of skepticism on your face. "hmm, not bad," you teased, your lips quirking up into a smile.
ex-husband! gojo who couldn't help but laugh at your playful response, feeling a warmth spread through him at the sight of your smile. He reached out to brush a stray strand of hair from your face, his touch lingering on your cheek for a moment longer than necessary.
ex-husband! gojo who savoured every moment of the evening, feeling more alive and hopeful than he had in years. he realised then and there that he was truly in love with you all over again, and he vowed to himself that he would never let you go again.
ex-husband! gojo who walks you to your doorstep at the end of the evening, his heart pounding with nervous anticipation as he prepared to say goodnight. he hesitated for a moment, his eyes searching yours for any sign of hesitation or reluctance.
but then you smiled up at him, a soft warmth in your gaze that made his heart skip a beat. "thank you for tonight, satoru," you said softly, your voice filled with genuine gratitude and affection.
he reaches out to take your hand in his, his touch gentle and reassuring. "no, thank you, y/n," he replied, his voice soft with emotion. "for giving me a second chance, for believing in me, for everything."
without another word left to spare, he leans in and presses a soft, lingering kiss to your lips, his heart overflowing with love and gratitude. and in that moment, as he held you close, he knew that he was exactly where he was meant to be...
with you.
and he was so utterly grateful to have been granted a second chance at loving you again.

lucifer shuts the door behind him quietly, listening intently. the house is silent, but he knows you’re still awake. trying to shake himself free of his nerves, he checks over the bouquet of flowers, making sure they’re in top shape, then straightens his tie.
making his way through the house, he checks each room for you, each as dark and empty as the last. until he gets to your shared room, where the door is shut. he listens at the door, and can faintly hear music and running water. you’re likely in the bath.
pushing the door open, lucifer sees then ensuite bathroom’s door cracked and can now distinguish faint splashing. you’re definitely in there. calling out your name so he won’t startle you, lucifer waits until you allow him to enter.
“what?” you ask irritably, not meeting his eyes, and his heart skinks. he feels terrible for the earlier argument especially since it’s clear you’re still upset.
“darling, i wanted to apologize for earlier,” he says, dropping to his knees outside of the bath. you pop some bubbles, resolutley ignoring him, so he goes on. “i was being stubborn and knew even in the moment you were correct. there are no excuses for my earlier words and actions and i am truly sorry.” he offers you the flowers. “will you forgive me?”
you finally look up at him, and his gut tightens. how could he have been so cruel to you?
you take the flowers, smelling them for a long, painful moment. then you give them back and he feels like he’s been punched. until you speak.
“thank you for the apology. and for the flowers. of course i forgive you. but,” you warn, “you must never, and i mean never, lucifer, speak to me that way. do you understand?”
“yes, darling, anything,” he promises, overpowering relief crashing through him. you lift a wet hand up and pull him to you by the tie, bringing his face to yours.
“good. and i’m glad you realized i was right.” you give him a peck, lips there and gone before he can act. “now, to fully make it up to me, will you wash my hair?”
“you don’t even have to ask,” lucifer replies, already rolling up his sleeves. as he helps you wash, a finally peaceful silence falling between you, he thinks of how lucky he is to have you, something he’s aware of each and every day.
Tumblr media
mammon jumps up when he hears the door open, rubbing his sweaty hands on his pants. you’d gone for a walk after the earlier fight and every moment without you was excruciation, especially after he’d finally admitted to himself he was in the wrong.
“hey,” he breathes as you remove your coat. you give him a look, and he knows he’s got to do better. “i’m sorry, mc,” he amends, feeling like he’s speaking too loud for the distance between you. “i seriously fucked up and i’m so, so sorry. i was angry but that was no excuse to treat you like that or speak to you that way. i’m really sorry.”
“thank you,” you finally say, breathing out a sigh. “and i’m sorry too. i overreacted.”
“no!” he says quickly. “you were only reacting to my aggression. it was my fault. and you were right. i understand if you want more space from me.”
“to be honest,” you begin. “that’s the last thing i want right now. come here and give me a hug.”
mammon moves faster than he should, almost tripping over the coffee table, and wraps you in his arms tightly. it’s only now that he realizes he’s practically trembling–man, he must have been really nervous. you hug him back, just as tight, and his eyes are only bringing because he’s got some dust in them, okay? absolutely no other reason.
after a long, long moment, you pull back from him, giving him a watery smile. “i love you,” you say, and he presses his forehead to yours, feeling your warmth.
“i love you too. i’m sorry.”
“you already said that,” you tease, and he smiles sadly.
“’m still sorry. and, to be honest, don’t want to cook. so whaddya say we go out for ramen tonight?”
“only if i get to pick where,” you say. “and if you pay.”
“well i thought that was obvious,” he huffs. your stomach growls then, and he grabs your coat, motioning for you to let him help you put it on. he grabs your hand when it’s all buttoned, wrapping his fingers around your tightly. he made the mistake of letting you go earlier and he’s not going to do anything like that now.
Tumblr media
diavolo frets, looking over everything once again. he truly has no idea how to apologize, and though asking barbatos had crossed his mind he knew he couldn’t ask another man to help him with this. not when it concerns you.
as son of the demon kind, diavolo’s never really been wrong before. demons just kind of…listened to him, and in cases where he was really off the path barbatos and lucifer would often guide him without explicitly crossing his orders, something he knows they think he hasn’t noticed. but navigating life with you is nothing like ruling over the devildom, and in many ways, diavolo finds it much, much harder.
but he’s going to admit he was wrong and apologize! if there’s one thing he can remember from when he was very, very young, it was watching his father, the king, apologize to the queen, much as he’s doing now. the only difference is that he hasn’t officially made you ruler alongside him but that can be thought about later.
he checks his ddd for the time, and exhales nervously. he’d asked you to meet him at the spot of your first date and it was nearing the time that he’d written, and you never were one to be late. as if he imagined you, you appear, hesitant and nervous. but you’d come, and that’s enough for him.
“diavolo? what is all of this?” you look over the picnic, from the expensive chocolates to the wrapped gift and then back to him.
“i wanted to say i was sorry,” he says nervously, rubbing the back of his neck. “when we argued, i wasn’t fair to you, nor did i listen. and then i reacted poorly and in a way that’s never okay. and i truly apologize.”
“you did all this to apologize?” you ask, and he nods.
“was it too much? i don’t really know what i’m doing but i know i want to make it up to you. can you forgive me?”
“of course,” you reply, and he feels like he can finally breathe. “and while this is nice, it is a little much. i really only wanted to hear you say you were sorry.”
“i’m sorry.”
“i know. thank you for saying that. and for doing all of this. and i’m sorry too,” you continue, holding up a hand before he can say you have nothing to apologize for. “i should have talked to you instead of just running away. now, let’s enjoy this wonderful picnic you’ve prepared.”
“i love you,” he says. “so much.”
“i love you,” is your simple reply, but for him, it’s more than enough.

The feeling of floating on cloud nine wasn't something you experienced much in your life. There were high points, of course, but nothing like the elation that filled you as Andy went to make a copy of the contract. It was almost dizzying to think that for the next three quarters of a year, everything was going to be okay. Better than okay.
All thanks to Andy.
Estelle shrieked as she pulled you to your feet. “You're a sugar baby! You're a sugar baby!” she sang, making you laugh as she did a little dance with it.
“I thought you said I was going to be his ‘companion’,” you teased.
She leveled you with a look. “It’s the same thing,” she said, grabbing her bag. “And since your new ‘companion’ is taking you to the diner, why don’t we celebrate tomorrow? You better give me all the details.”
You giggled again at the implication as she squeezed you in a tight hug. If you weren’t happy before, you would've been thanks to her infectious attitude. “You sure don’t need me to head down with you?”
“No, I’m good. You just enjoy the rest of the day,” she said, winking at you and pointing at Andy when he came back. “Have fun and be good to her or I’ll destroy you,” she told him as she walked by with every ounce of confidence you wished you had. “And nice meeting you!”
You half expected there to be an air of awkwardness once the two of you were left alone and were surprised not to feel it at all. It was hard to describe the atmosphere outside of that, but it was something both familiar and new. Maybe that was because Andy continued to put you at ease all while exciting you. The next chapter of your time would be unpredictable in ways that you were looking forward to encountering.
Did he feel the same way?
Andy chuckled after a moment, the sound bringing a smile back to your face as he held up the papers in his hand. “I realize this is probably a bit outdated since everything is done electronically, but I prefer it this way.”
“I don't think it’s outdated,” you assured him as he handed you the contract, his fingers brushing yours. Would you ever get used to the jolt of electricity you felt at his touch? “It’s less of a chance of it getting leaked.”
Though it was you he worried about, you still wanted to protect his reputation.
“Yes, it is,” he said, smiling to himself when you tucked the papers carefully in your folder. “Estelle is serious, isn’t she? She’ll destroy me if I hurt you?”
“Oh, yeah. She isn’t afraid of anyone,” you said as you shifted slightly on your feet. “But I wouldn't worry about her. I don't expect you to hurt me.”
He had to know that.
Andy took a step closer. “She’s a good person to have on your side,” he commented, butterflies fluttering in your stomach at the soft look in his eyes. “And I have no intention of hurting you.”
You carefully considered his words with furrowed brows. “Aren't you supposed to say you promise not to hurt me?”
A sad smile touched his lips. “People make promises and usually do so for the right reasons, but they don't always lead to the desired outcome,” he replied as if he peeled back a small layer of himself that still left you with questions. “Take the weeklong silence, for example. I inadvertently hurt you by not reaching out.”
Your cheeks flamed, almost wishing you hadn't mentioned it. “But we talked about that. You didn't mean anything by it.”
“Yes, we did talk about it and I'm glad you told me how you felt. I still caused doubt in your mind though,” he said, his tone gentle and understanding without breaking eye contact. “So while I do want to promise that I’ll never hurt you, I'd rather promise that I have no intention of ever hurting you. Because I don't.”
It took a moment to recall that Andy was married once years ago. While you weren't sure why things ended, did his divorce give him a new perspective on making and keeping promises? Or was it his time as a lawyer?
Whatever the reason you had to respect him for his outlook.
“I appreciate that and I will hold you to that,” you said, falling in step beside him as you headed for the door.
He raised an eyebrow as he held it open for you to go through, allowing you to catch the scent of his cologne again as you walked past. You almost asked what brand it was just so you could get a bottle and spritz your worn in sweatshirts. “Isn't this the part where you promise you have no intention of hurting me?” He questioned.
“I don't think I have the power to hurt you,” you replied, not looking behind you as you headed toward the elevator. You were positive you didn't have that kind of influence nor did you want to hurt him. “But I promise that I have no intention to do so.”
You froze when he leaned in close, his beard ticking your ear and it took all of your inner strength not to turn your head toward him. “Never underestimate how powerful you are, honey,” he whispered, your breath rushing out of your lungs as he stepped back and gestured to the open elevator doors. “Shall we?”
“Sure,” you replied, your voice more breathy than you intended as you stepped inside. You swore you caught him smiling before he joined you.
“I gave my driver the afternoon off, so you’re stuck with me,” he said, pressing the button for the lowest level before the doors slid shut. “I hope that’s okay.”
“I think I can handle you driving,” you teased, happy that the two of you would be alone for part of the evening.
He chuckled before he went quiet again. The silence was comfortable, the soft dings as you passed each floor the only sound in the space. It gave you a moment to admire the man beside you. With his perfect posture, chin held high, and pristine suit, you tried to picture how he looked when he simply relaxed. No eyes on him. No one expecting anything from him.
Maybe he can show me that side of himself sometime soon.
“You’re staring,” he stated.
You smiled, not at all embarrassed that he caught you without looking your way. “I guess it’s because I’m still trying to figure you out.”
That and he was still one of the most handsome men you had ever seen.
But who was Andy Barber beyond his money? Your hero and your second chance at a better life, but what else? What did he do for fun? What did he want out of life, years from now?
Andy swung his head toward you as the elevator came to a stop. “I guess that makes two of us then.”
You found yourself in his car a few minutes later. The Audi still had that “new car” smell to it, the passenger seat sleek and not at all broken in. There wasn’t a spec of dust on the leather interior. Either he didn’t drive it often or he made sure to keep it in next to perfect condition.
Your mind drifted back to Andy’s earlier statement. What exactly was he trying to figure out? If he meant that he was trying to figure you out, he didn’t have to look too deeply. And if he was still trying to figure himself out, that was normal. Searching for your true self was a lifelong journey. And with your newfound sense of freedom at your fingertips, you’d be able to explore your own passions and visualize your ideal self.
But part of you figuring Andy out was getting to know him.
“Why the diner?” You asked, glancing over at him as he concentrated on the road in front of him. “I mean, why go there for coffee or food when you can go anywhere else?”
Maybe upscale places weren’t his usual style. He took you to the Courthouse and looked at ease there, but maybe the diner was an escape. Something different.
“I didn’t grow up with much, but my mom made it work as best as she could,” he admitted, a wistful note in his voice. “We never went hungry and she got creative with some meals so I wouldn’t get tired of eating the same thing. Things like fast food were considered a treat and diners were fine dining.”
You shifted in your seat as you listened, touched by the unexpected vulnerability. “I’ll bet she looked forward to those moments,” you said.
“She did and so did I,” he smiled over at you. “On the rare nights when she was able to save up and take us to a diner, she got a large breakfast or dinner meal for us to split. Best way to stretch her dollar and make sure neither of us felt hungry after.”
You almost reached over to take his hand, but you didn’t want to overstep. He was giving you a piece of himself by revealing a part of his past. That was more than you could ask for.
“I went to diners in college, too, when I was struggling to make ends meet,” he continued, stroking his beard for a moment. “I guess they kind of stuck with me because they reminded me of happier times. They also serve as a reminder to be thankful for what I have. It’s important to remember who I was then and who I am now.”
You let out a breath and closed your eyes as he turned onto the next street, wishing you could thank his mother for raising such an amazing man. “Thank you for sharing that with me.”
His hand covered yours unexpectedly when your eyes opened. “Thank you for asking.”
You turned your wrist so your palm met his, your stomach flipping as he held it a little tighter. Opening up was never easy, even if Andy made it sound effortless. You felt closer to him after hearing that important piece of his history. Even the crackle of electricity felt different this time. Instead of a jolt, it was like a steady hum.
Maybe that closeness was the reason you didn’t want to let go when he parked his car in front of the diner.
“Are you okay?” He asked.
You swallowed as you glanced out the window, the flashing lights from the sign of the beckoning for you to go in. “I just can't believe I'm actually going to quit,” you said, clutching your bag with your other hand. “I mean, I do believe it. I have my resignation letter here and everything.”
“Even when you had that bit of doubt that the contract wouldn't go through, you had your letter ready,” he smiled.
You toyed with the strap of your bag as you tried to hide your smile. “I guess I did.”
Preparation never hurt anyone.
“But if you’d rather hold off until tomorrow, I understand. I can even drive you back here if you want to wait,” he offered.
For a moment, you questioned if you should wait. As you bit your lip to fight your smile more and squeezed Andy’s hand, you made your decision. You signed the contract. You were more than ready.
Most of all, you deserved to start your path to a better future.
“I’m ready,” you assured him, reluctantly releasing his hand before you unbuckled your seatbelt. “Are you going in or did you want to wait here?”
“I’ll grab a coffee while I wait,” he said, stopping you as you reached for your door handle. “Allow me.”
You smiled to yourself as he went around to let you out. “Are you always a gentleman?”
“Not always,” he said without missing a beat, winking as you joined him on the sidewalk.
You licked your lips and gazed into his bright blue eyes. Could he see the want in yours? What would it take to make him lose control?
“I’m looking forward to seeing that side of you, Mr. Barber,” you smiled, brushing past him as he inhaled.
But first things first.
The bell rang as you walked inside and you paused to take it all in. Taking Andy’s earlier story to heart, you wouldn’t allow yourself to forget that this diner was part of your story. It not only led him to you, but also kept you from becoming homeless. It was a blessing.
“Hey,” Casey, one of the veteran servers, nodded to you from behind the counter before she looked over your outfit. She seemed to forget all about you as Andy as he walked in behind you. You didn't blame her. “Hi there. Sit anywhere you’d like.”
Andy put his hand on your lower back before he leaned in, your breath hitching slightly. “Good luck, honey,” he whispered, releasing you as Casey gawked in your direction. “I’ll just have a coffee, please,” he said as he took a seat at the counter.
The usual warmth Andy exuded was down a notch. Still friendly, but different. Or maybe you were just telling yourself that in order to feel special. “Is Sean here?”
“Yep. In the office,” Casey answered, pouring Andy a fresh cup of coffee. “Just got here.”
“I’ll be right back,” you told Andy, feeling his eyes on you as you headed through the employee only doors.
Sean had his head buried in some paperwork as he grumbled to himself. With a deep breath, you knocked on the open door. He didn't speak to you much outside of your shifts and hardly praised you for a job well done, but he wasn't a bad boss. You felt bad disturbing him, but it was now or never.
“Hi. May I come in?” You asked as he looked up.
“Yeah. Don't shut the door though. Lock’s broken,” he said, nodding to the chair in front of his desk. “Didn’t expect to see you today. What are you all dressed up for?”
“Oh, I had a meeting,” you answered, which wasn’t a lie. You did meet with Andy. “That’s actually what I needed to talk to you about.”
“A meeting?” He repeated with a frown. “Don’t tell me you’re quitting.”
Your stomach began to twist in knots. The last thing you wanted to do was disappoint your boss, even if he wouldn’t be that for much longer. Being a waitress also wasn’t your dream job, but it helped you when you needed it.
Now you have to help yourself.
“Yes, I am. I’m putting in my two weeks notice,” you said quietly, taking the letter out of your bag and placing it on the desk when he stared impassively. “I found another opportunity and I’m going to take it, but I’m happy to take any shifts I can over the next two weeks to help.”
Sean didn’t speak for a moment as he drummed his fingers on the desk. “Two weeks? No, that's not gonna work. We’re short as it is,” he said, shoving the paper away before he leaned back in his chair. Was he serious? “You're gonna have to make it four weeks and then we'll revisit after that to see if we need you to stay on longer.”
“No. I'm giving you two weeks,” you reiterated, your tone unwavering. You wouldn’t let Sean bully you into staying longer, even as guilt crept up since the place was short-staffed. “That's standard and I can't do more than that. I'm sorry.”
“Oh, no. I'm still in charge and you'll give me four weeks. That’s final,” he argued, waving his hand dismissively as you shrank a bit in your chair. “Unless you have anything else to add, I’ll see you next shift.”
You clasped your hands in your lap to keep from shaking. You didn't expect him to react this way. “No, that’s not final. I can't give you four weeks,” you said as calmly as possible, even as you began to feel more uncomfortable. “I would if I could, but I can't. I’m sorry.”
“Can't or won't?” Sean asked, almost making you jump as he raised his voice. “Listen here, you've been a solid employee and I'm not going to lose you in two weeks or four weeks. Do you understand? And if you don't show up you can forget about ever getting a good recommendation from me. Might as well kiss that ‘opportunity’ of yours goodbye.”
Your eyes burned as your mind flashed back to when you were told you were laid off from your previous job, the compassionate tone of your old boss the opposite of the man in front of you. The situations were different, but both made you feel so small. Especially since Sean was essentially threatening your future endeavors. You refused to cry though.
He wouldn’t witness your tears.
You cleared your throat and maintained your resolve. “Two weeks, Sean. That’s it. I said I’m willing to work as many shifts as I can over the next two weeks, but I can't do more than that. I won’t,” you firmly spoke as his eyes widened. “I really don't want to end this on a bad note, please.”
He pushed himself to his feet as he thrust a finger toward your face as if it would somehow make him appear intimidating to tower over you. It wouldn’t sway you. “Listen here, you little-”
“Is everything okay?”
Andy’s voice made both of you jump as you spun in your chair. He stood in the doorway but didn’t look your way. He trained his gaze on your boss, his normally bright eyes narrow and cold.
Your boss must’ve felt malice in that stare since he sat down immediately. “Oh. Mr. Barber,” he said. Did he know him as a regular customer or merely recognize his status? “It’s just an issue with an employee. This doesn’t concern you.”
“There is no issue,” you corrected him.
“Actually, she’s with me, so it does concern me,” Andy spoke as he took a step into the office, staring your boss down with a clenched jaw. The space no longer felt like Sean’s. It was as if Andy owned it along with everything in it. “If you want to raise your voice at someone, I’m right here. You won’t speak to her that way though. Do you understand?”
The deep timbre almost knocked the air out of your lungs, your heart pounding from Andy defending you.
Sean coughed a bit as color filled his cheeks. He should be embarrassed. “I didn’t realize she was with you. I wouldn’t have…” he trailed off.
Your blood simmered. He wouldn’t have raised his voice at you if he knew you were with Andy. Was this a taste of what things were going to be like? How people were going to treat you moving forward?
“Who she’s with shouldn’t matter. Not to mention, your customers and employees could hear you since your door was open,” Andy added, disappointment thickly laced in his voice. “You said she was a solid employee. Why would you speak to her like that?”
Sean’s eyes flickered to you as you waited for an answer. “We’ve been short-staffed and I’ve been stressing over it. That’s no excuse. I'm sorry,” he said to Andy, making your blood go from simmering to boiling. A customer, a powerful man, got the apology, but not you. “Won’t happen again.”
“Maybe remind yourself to be kind to the people who work for you before you raise your voice again. They’re the ones who keep your business running,” Andy said.
With a hang of his head, your boss sighed. “Two weeks, huh?” He asked, the wind completely out of his sails as you nodded. “Okay. Two weeks it is.”
“Thanks,” you whispered before Andy walked over and held out his hand to help you to your feet. Luckily, you didn’t tremble as you took it and gave it a small squeeze. It was nice that he was on your side.
“And one more thing?” Andy added as Sean glanced up. “I’m not the one you should apologize to.”
You held up your other hand when Sean looked your way and opened his mouth. “No. The only reason you’re going to say you’re sorry is because he’s here,” you stated, looking at Andy momentarily. He responded with an encouraging smile. “And I don’t want an empty apology. You can keep it.”
It was nice that Andy wanted an apology on your behalf, but it wouldn't feel believable.
Sean’s face fell, but he didn’t argue. Up until today, he treated you decently. The pressures of running a business were tough, but he had no reason to take it out on you. At the same time, you felt bad for him.
“But thank you, Sean. You gave me a job when I needed one and I won’t forget that,” you added gently. “I’ll see you next shift.”
“Why don't I meet you outside? I just want one more quick word with your boss,” Andy said as Sean audibly swallowed.
Uh-oh.
“Sure,” you said, the knots in your gut unraveling as you left the two of them alone.
You exhaled as you walked back into the dining area, avoiding the gazes from a few of the customers. Your hand shook as you gave Casey a small wave. At least she didn’t look upset with you.
“Quitting, huh? Lucky duck,” she smiled sadly. “You okay? He had no right speaking to you like that.”
“Yeah, I’m fine,” you nodded, taking another breath. You didn't like anyone raising their voice at you, but you wouldn't allow yourself to dwell on it and didn’t need her to worry. All you could do was make the transition as smooth as possible over the next two weeks. “Didn't expect that kind of reaction. Didn’t expect anyone out here to hear it.”
“Sean’s voice carries and he’s probably just pissed that he’s losing another good one while he’s stuck here,” she guessed, glancing over her shoulder before she added in a whisper, “Oh, and that guy you’re with? He looked furious when he heard him.”
“He did?” You asked, an almost goofy smile appearing on your face.
“Yeah, he did. He had fire in his eyes. Put a bill down, got to his feet, and immediately walked back there. And I wasn’t about to stop him,” she said, her smile widening as she leaned on the counter. “I’d say he’s smitten.”
Your heart skipped a beat. First Estelle, now Casey. Though the latter had no clue about the arrangement. “He’s really something, isn't he?”
“Oh, yeah,” Casey said, straightening up when the employee door swung open.
Andy’s eyes landed on you as he walked through, his eyes soft again as he held out his hand. He also looked pleased with himself. “Ready?”
“Ready,” you said, taking it as you gave Casey a nod. “I’ll see you soon. Hope the rest of your shift is okay.”
“Me, too. See ya,” she said before she went back to assisting other customers.
“You okay?” Andy asked softly as he led you outside.
“I’m fine,” you promised, not wanting him to worry either or get upset. “But what did you say to Sean?”
“Nothing for you to worry about,” he answered, shaking his head. “Listen, I’m sorry if I overstepped by intervening. I just couldn’t let him talk to you like that.”
He easily deflected your question and you decided to let him have that victory for now.
You went in for a hug but kept space for him to breathe. He wrapped his arms tightly around you before you could pull away, your body melting into his. The bustling city around you faded as you focused on the warmth of his firm body. It made you forget all about Sean’s reaction.
“I’m glad you did,” you said, stepping back with a tiny smile. It meant the world that he defended you. “I tried to hold my own.”
“You did. You could've snapped back or walked out, but you didn't. That’s commendable and powerful,” he assured you, his gaze serious. “But I don't care if it’s your boss or a stranger or your best friend, I’m not about to let someone take their frustrations out on you.”
Warmth settled in your chest. You learned something else about Andy today: He truly wouldn't tolerate anyone disrespecting you. He continued to prove that he was a man of his word.
You also experienced firsthand how things worked in his world, how people would bend toward his will. If it was a test, you wouldn’t say you failed since you stood up for yourself. It wouldn’t always be that easy. Whether someone questioned your motives or place with Andy or not, you had to learn to grow a thick skin. Not just for your own benefit, but Andy’s, too.
He needed someone strong by his side.
“Thank you, Andy.”
“And, listen, if you don’t want to work those shifts or if he gives you a hard time-”
“I’ll be fine,” you promised. You doubted Sean would make it a hostile work environment, but you could handle it if there were any issues. “But I think I’d like to go home now.”
Andy blinked and gave you a single nod. “Sure. If that’s what you want.”
Is he disappointed at the thought of me ending the day right now?
You smiled as you tugged him in the direction of his car. “I’d also like you to see my place,” you said, his eyebrows shooting up. It surprised you that you offered, too. “It isn't much, but it’s comfortable. Maybe we can order takeout?”
It wasn’t exactly the ideal way to celebrate, but he shared a piece of himself on the drive over. The least you could do was let him see your apartment. And who knew where the evening would take you?
“Only if you’ll let me pay,” he smiled.
“You're not going to let me pay for anything, are you?” You smiled back.
“Not if I can help it,” he replied, opening the car door. “Let's get you home, honey.”

Y/N KNEW HER BOYFRIEND WAS CHEATING, HAD KNOWN IT FOR DAYS. Any other person would’ve done the obvious: break up with him, but why would she do that when she could do something more fun?
They were both in the Halloween party hosted by some frat boys, and her boyfriend had left her alone to play beer pong with his friends—and flirt with sorority girls behind her back—, so Y/N decided it was time to set her plan in action.
Her eyes scanned the room, and they stopped on a tall boy dressed as a character from Murder Party. She recognised him instantly, Ethan Landry, the guy from Econ. He was a bit awkward and silly, but hell if he wasn’t pretty. Even with his cardboard helmet on, she could distinguish his soft and perfect face features, and also spotted some surprising muscles hugged by his tight long-sleeved shirt.
She approached him with a confident smile. “Ethan, hey! Surprising seeing you here.”
“Y/N, hi.” he blushed. “Yeah, my roommate forced me. Says I need to meet some girls, get out of my room.”
He regretted those words as soon as they came out. He was really making himself look pathetic. Surprisingly, the girl laughed and sent him a flirty smile. “I have to thank him for bringing you here, then.”
He widened his eyes, being caught off guard. “Not that your company bothers me, but why are you talking to me?”
“Do you want me to be honest?”
“Sure.”
“I found out my boyfriend has been cheating on me, and I thought… why break up with him and give him a free will to date this other girl when I can give him a taste of his own medicine?”
“So you want to make out with me in front of him and the whole university?” he asked, amusement reflected in his eyes.
“Yeah. I think you’re pretty, and I said why not.” she shrugged. Then she cursed herself for spilling her idea, she was really acting like a pathetic revengeful baby. “You don’t have to, though. I can keep searching.”
His next movement surprised her. Ethan grabbed her hips and turned them around, so that her back was pressed against the wall and he was hovering over her. He brought his mouth to her earlobe and bit it softly, his hot breath hitting the side of her neck and making her shiver.
“Let’s give him a fucking show, baby.” his husky voice made her clench her thighs.
She took off his helmet and quickly pulled him into a kiss. They devoured each other in a way that made her forget why she was doing it in the first place. His lips were soft, but they captured hers with ferocity and roughness and it was the best kiss she had ever had. His hands explored everything—the back of her neck, her scalp, face, waist, hips, ass. His touch was all-consuming, intoxicating and wild. Her fingers were tangled in his perfect curls while the other hand caressed the muscles on his back. They were completely drunk in lust, and the only reason why they pulled away was because of the boy yelling at them from across the room.
Y/N saw his boyfriend marching towards them with a furious expression, making both of them laugh. The girl grabbed Ethan’s hand “Go, go, go!” she screamed between giggles as the boyfriend ran after them.
“My dorm building is close, let’s go there.”
They entered the building in between laughter. “Holy shit that was fun! Thank you, Ethan.”
“You’re very welcome. It was a good kiss.” he said, blush coating his cheeks.
“It really was. You blew my mind” she nodded. “It was a double win. I got to piss him off, and I also got the most amazing kiss I’ve ever had.”
“I’m glad you got your revenge. If you need to do it again, you know who to call.”
She took a step closer and pressed a chaste kiss on his lips, wanting to get one more taste before leaving to finish the revenge plan. “I will.”

WITH GHOSTFACE BACK IN BUSINESS, Y/N THOUGHT IT WAS THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY TO GET RID OF HER ASSHOLE BOYFRIEND. Y/N walked back to the block of the party where her boyfriend was waiting for her in an ally. She had called him from a public phone and asked him to meet her there, as he had her phone with him.
“What was that shit about?” he asked furiously, handing her phone back with aggression. “Making out with that nerd in front of everyone? That was humiliating.”
“That ‘nerd’ is one hell of a kisser.” she smirked. “And you felt humiliated? Good. That was my first goal of the night.”
“What are you talking about?” he asked, his voice was a mix of confusion and anger.
“I know you’ve been cheating on me, asshole. Feels like fucking crap, doesn’t it? That’s how I felt when I saw you fucking her on our bed.” she spat harshly. “My first goal was to humiliate you. The second one it’s more of doing some good for the world.”
“You are not making any sense.”
“The world shouldn’t have dirty cheaters living in it. I’m doing a favour to the girls.” she faked a smile before grabbing the knife hidden on her skirt and piercing the skin on his stomach.
The boy fell to the floor, moaning in pain as she stabbed him repeatedly. "Please stop! I'm sorry!" he cried.
"You should be. These stabs are your fault. They are the consequence of your own actions. I hope you learned your lesson."
"I did, I'm sorry. I won't do it again." he let out a whimper. "I won't tell anyone, I swear. Just let me go."
"How stupid do you think I am?" she spat, twisting the knife, making him cry even louder.
"You won't get away with it, girlfriend's are always the prime suspect."
Y/N laughed. "Yeah, probably. But there is a murderer on the loose, you won't be an isolated case. They will think it was just Ghostface striking again."
"You are crazy" he panted. "And if I cheated on you, it was because you were awful in bed."
"I was awful in bed because your tiny dick didn't motivate me." she said in a dry tone. "Enough chit-chat. It's time to say goodbye."
She raised her knife, ready to stab him in the heart when a voice stopped her. Y/N froze, thinking she had been caught. "That is not Ghostface's style." the familiar voice spoke.
"Ethan?" Y/N furrowed her brows.
"I have to say, I'm pretty surprised. This facet of yours is both unexpected and hot."
He didn't seem to be horrified by the scene, nor tempted to call the cops. "I'm kinda in the middle of something."
"I see. Making out with me wasn’t enough, was it?" the boy laughed. "I'm just saying, if you want the police to believe this was a Ghostface kill, you have to do it their way."
"Oh, yeah? And how's that?"
"Well, Ghostface is more gory."
"Is chopping his dick off gory enough?" she asked, gaining an amused laugh from Ethan and a scary whimper from her ex.
"Absolutely"
"No, please." the boy begged.
"I'm sorry, man. You deserve it. You get a chance with her and then have the audacity to cheat? You deserve to get your dick cut and then being fed to it."
Y/N smirked at the boy. "Oh, I love how your mind works."
"Thanks, gorgeous. You should hurry, tho, it's not the safest place."
The male murderer watched with amusement the way the girl got rid of her pathetic ex-boyfriend. He had had a crush on her since the very first day—her doe eyes, smart mind, and innocent smile pulled him in. Now, seeing her dark side, which was the complete juxtaposition of the girl he thought he knew, Ethan couldn't be more intrigued. Y/N Y/L/N had turned out to be a Pandora's box, and he was obsessed.
"Done" she said at the same time they started to hear sirens. They both widened their eyes, and Ethan instantly took Y/N's hand and ran out of the ally straight to his car. "Shit, shit, shit."
"Relax, it's not the first time it happens to me." Ethan said in a soft and calm tone, making her look at him in confusion. "I'll explain later."
Ethan drove the getaway car, and the sound of the sirens soon became distant and the beat of Y/N’s heart turned normal again. The feeling of adrenaline was now replaced with curiosity as she watched Ethan from the shot gun seat, trying to figure him out.
She couldn’t believe that was Ethan Landry, the shy and intelligent boy, who she had always thought was too pretty. The guy driving was nothing like that, he had a mysterious aura, a confident demeanour and an unexpected dark mind. This Ethan Landry wasn’t just pretty—he was hot, attractive, beyond intriguing.
“We should be safe now.” he spoke up, parking the black car. “Ask away, wannabe Ghostface.”
“Why are you not freaking out? What did you mean by ‘Not the first time it happens to me’?”
“Because, gorgeous, you are looking at the real Ghostface. Well, one of them.”
She raised her eyebrows in surprise “So you’re the one killing your friends?”
“Not my friends, but yeah.”
“Why would you let me get away with the murder?” Y/N questioned.
“A pretty thing like you shouldn’t be behind bars. Plus, I have a tiny crush on you, so… couldn’t let you get caught.”
“How did you find me?” she asked with a tiny smile painted on her face because of his words.
“I followed you.” he said simply. “You were acting weird. I thought you were feeling a bit sad about your boyfriend. I chased after you, and well, you surprised me for the second time tonight.”
“Can I ask what’s your motive? You know, for being Ghostface.”
And so Ethan told her about his family history, and she heard with attention, her heart breaking for him and his sister. His father? Not so much after hearing the way he treated Ethan.
“Well, if you ever need help with that, you can call me. I owe you one, anyways. I can be the driver of the getaway car”
“You don’t owe me anything, Y/N/N. I did that because I wanted to.”
“I want to help you, too.”
“I don’t want you tangled in this mess. There’s no guarantee that we will get away with this. Sam has won once, she can win twice.”
“Then, the more the merrier, right?”
“Y/N…”
“Ethan… let me, please.”
“Jesus, fine.” he sighed. “But you follow my orders, okay? If I say leave, you leave.”
“Yes, Clyde. I'll be a good Bonnie” she teased.

well we know how Alessia is clumsy right? Imagine if the reader is just as bad if not worse, the two of them are a right mess when near one another. And her and Alessia are both so oblivious to their feelings for each other that the team just have to deal with these two lovestruck clumsy idiots who tip toe around their feelings until eventually something pushes them to realise and confess
bambi II a.russo
"oh less is finally here." niamh nodded over your shoulder as you choked on your mouthful of cereal, maya smacking you on the back with a concerned look as you gasped to catch your breath.
"oh god not this again." your best friend groaned knowingly as you spat out the soggy mouthful of weetbix and downed your glass of juice. "and what's that supposed to mean?" you looked at her with a frown as niamh sighed dramatically.
"you become a walking hazard around that girl. you're clumsy enough on a regular day i don't need to be worrying about you falling down a flight of stairs and breaking your arm when she sends you a smile!" niamh rolled her eyes as you flipped her off.
"you've had a crush on her for years now, why don't you just ask her out bambi?" maya asked as she took a bite of toast and you shushed her, smacking at her shoulder for the nickname you had always detested.
"i do not! you're both deluded and i wish you'd drop this. you bring it up every camp, we've been friends for years. just friends!" you huffed in annoyance, grabbing your empty plate and standing to your feet.
however what you'd failed to notice was alessia and ella making their way over toward the table, and as you turned with the intention of a dramatic storm off you felt your body collide suddenly with someone else's.
with a grunt you fell on top of them, face flushing red with embarrassment as your eyes met those oh so familiar blue ones, alessia's own cheeks tinted pink. "hi less! i'm so sorry." you squeaked out and apologized, hastily rolling off of her and getting to your feet, helping the taller girl up.
"you know if i knew that you missed me so much i'd have come said hi sooner." alessia sent you a smile which you reciprocated, the blonde wrapping you in a tight hug hello before sitting down and greeting the rest of your friends.
ignoring niamh and maya's smirks you hurried off to get ready for training, the two girls covering up their laughs with their hands as you tripped over a chair leg and almost hit the deck again before mary hastily grabbed the back of your jumper, saving you from further embarrassment.
"let me guess, just saw alessia?" "oh shut up mary."
~
"i saw you went to italy over the break, how was it?" you asked with a soft smile as you walked back to the change rooms beside alessia, the two of you having been paired up for the last drill of the day.
"it was lovely thank you, and so sunny! i miss it already i can feel my tan slipping away with every second." the blonde groaned pulling back the sleeve of her jumper with a pout, poking at her still very tanned skin.
"yeah clearly you're looking like a vampire!" you rolled your eyes playfully, knocking your shoulder into hers gently. alessia attempted to bump you back but being just as clumsy as you of course she miscalculated.
alessia missed you entirely, suddenly falling sideways and onto the pitch with a grunt, grabbing out at you to steady herself but accidentally just taking you down with her.
"and there she goes! the bigger they are the harder they fall." ella clapped sarcastically as niamh hurried over to help you up and millie hoisted alessia to her feet, the blonde striker apologizing profusely before speed walking away with a shake of her head, ella racing off after her.
"do you think they'll ever realise they're in love with one another?" millie slung an arm over niamhs shoulder as the two watched you head off toward the change room, both girls playing with you at chelsea knew you better than you knew yourself it would seem.
"god i hope so. we need them both unbroken for the qualifiers next week and if they keep up this way they'll be getting together in an ambulance!"
~
"y/l/n you're up!" the training staff called for your turn for testing, one of the last of the day as the rest of the girls sat on the sidelines chugging their waters.
with a determined nod you zoned in, acing the first few activities without any issues. only when you glanced over to the side and noticed alessia watching you intently you panicked, miss stepping and slipping on the ball at your feet you fell to the floor mid run, taking down several mannequins with you as you squealed and landed on your back with a thud.
your cheeks burnt scarlet as you heard the laughter from the sidelines instantly at your blunder, burying your face in your hands with a sigh. "come on, up you get now." you peeked out from your fingers seeing your captains grinning face staring down at you as she extended her hand.
"now mate i've seen you do some impressive falls over the years but that one, that one took the cake." leah hauled you up to your feet and patted you on the back with a laugh as you groaned in embarrassment.
"don't remind me i'm never gonna live this down."
~
"less just tell her you like her man! i don't get it." ella whispered to alessia as the two stood in line awaiting their turn to grab lunch. "shut up tooney! i do not." alessia hissed, shoving the shorter girl as she glanced around frantically, sighing in relief not seeing you anywhere within earshot.
"whatever you sayyy." ella sung out with a tut, holding her plate out eagerly as the two of them chatted with the chefs. "god that smells good!" alessia dropped her plate with a loud smash as you appeared beside her, stumbling backwards into ella and knocking her own plate down to the ground as well with her elbow.
"aw less come on!" ella groaned loudly in annoyance dragging her hands down her face, the tips of the italians ears flushing bright red as she apologised over and over to the staff who hurried to clean everything up.
"good thing you're not a goalkeeper with those hands." you joked, nudging her lightly with a soft smile trying to ease her obvious embarassment, alessia mumbling something inaudible before running off to change out of her now food stained training kit.
~
entering the change room you swore as you slipped on someones stray boot, not paying attention to where you were going, only just catching yourself from falling as the teasings exploded around you.
"i think we need to wrap you in bubble wrap bambi." millie chuckled as you sat down beside her at your locker, ignoring the comment with a roll of your eyes as you started to change into your own boots.
taking your time most of the team had filtered out for training, and you were so zoned out of it you didn't even hear alessia sit down by you at her own locker focused on plaiting her hair.
you jumped a little as she dropped her brush and it cluttered to the floor beside you, knocking you out of your trance as you tied up your laces and reached out to grab her brush.
"here less-" you straightened as the blonde bent down to grab the brush herself, causing her forehead to smash into your nose quite suddenly.
you let out a groan of pain and clutched at your face, dropping alessia's brush to the ground again as the strikers features paled in concern, her hands settling themselves gently either side of your face.
"oh my god i am so so sorry! are you okay?" "yeah...but i think you broke my nose."
~
"i seem to see the two of you so often i'm considering naming one of the benches in your honour." richard the head doctor chuckled as he opened the door, your stomach fluttering as alessia guided you inside with her hand on the small of your back, not having left your side since everything happened.
"whats happened here then?" the man sighed, gesturing you take a seat up on the table as he grabbed out some wipes, starting to clean the dried blood from around your nose as you grimaced in pain, alessia's stomach lurching with guilt as you recounted what had happened.
her cheeks flushed red as you hastily reached out to grab her hand, squeezing tightly as richard gently poked and prodded at your tender nose.
the blonde shook her head trying to ignore the tingling sensation at your fingers being interlocked with yours.
"well the good news is it isn't broken! just a little swollen." richard explained with a smile as alessia let out a sigh of relief where she was stood beside you. "certainly feels like its broken." you pouted as you poked gingerly at your face.
"but it means no playing for two weeks, minimum. one bad knock and you'll break it properly, which would mean a minimum six weeks out." he announced and your body instantly deflated, knowing that meant you'd not be fit for squad selection for the upcoming national games.
"god i'm so sorry." alessia winced and you felt her gaze pierce into the side of your head but you couldn't bring yourself to meet it, nodding at richards words and sliding off the table, dropping the strikers hand.
"thanks rich, i'll go speak with sarina." you shot him a small smile and shuffled toward the door once he'd given you an icepack and some further instructions of aftercare, alessia following after you. she stayed by your side, head racing with thoughts but remaining silent, too overwhelmed to even voice what she was thinking.
"hey, you know i'm not mad at you right?" you paused, turning to look at her with a small but reassuring smile. "no you have every right to be, i'm so so sorry." the blonde stammered out, breath hitching as you grabbed her hands in yours and squeezed softly.
"but i'm not, it was an accident. they don't call me bambi for nothing, niamh's not wrong when she says im like a walking wet floor sign; always warning everyone of the hazard thats yet to come." you joked lightly, causing the taller girl to crack a small smile.
"don't blame yourself, please. just score a few goals and help us win to make it up to me!" you smiled before dropping her hands and veering right, intending to go and find your manager.
"what about i take you to dinner instead?"
your body froze at her words, alessia nervously fiddling with her hands, almost in shock at the words that had left her mouth.
"let me take you to dinner. please, to make up for it." the blonde steadied herself and spoke with much more confidence than she was really feeling.
"like a....date?" you asked cautiously, aware that these three words could make or break everything.
"yeah, exactly like a date."

A love story: the Jock and the Geek
Jason Todd x Male! Reader
Warning: some bullying, homophobia, sexual harassment and sexual references
Tumblr media
The hallways of the school were built like a wall of pain, you got sick and tired of hearing people say high school were the best years.
You clutched your books to your chest as you roamed the hallway, going to your next class.
A group of boys cheered as they tossed the football to each other, wolf whistling as the cheerleaders walked by.
Skin tight tops with short skirts, faces masked by beauty products. You envied that you were average looking. You envied that they all had someone to call their own.
‘Stacey, you and Jason coming to my party tonight?’ Hilary asked, her Afro hair falling down to her shoulders.
Stacey, the pretty blonde cheerleader nodded, shutting her locker.
‘Obvy, I’m hoping me and Jason will finally make out tonight’ Stacey tells her bestie.
Truth is Jason Todd is this big jock, rich daddy and drives a Porsche, however he is not shy of taking his time.
You pushed your glasses up your face as Mike, another jock, pushes you into your locker, knocking your books out your hands. Your printed knowledge scattered the floor.
‘Watch where you’re going queer’ Mike laughed as he saw you rushing to grab your books from the floor.
Mike and his buddies high fived as they watched you in amusement, Hilary gave a look of sympathy as she watched you.
‘Let’s go’ Stacey grabbed Hilary’s arm and the two left you.
‘Is this yours?’ Jason asked as he handed you a sketch book.
You nodded as you took it from him, Jason looked at the opened page as he admired your work.
‘This is some good work y/n’ Jason praised, you seemed surprised as you never realised Jason even knew your name.
‘Thanks’ you replied shyly, Jason handed you the sketch book.
‘You have Chem next right? Mr Ward is an asshole sometimes. Coming to Hilary’s party tonight?’ Jason asked.
You nudged your glasses up your face, shaking your head.
‘I’m not invited, I’m not cool enough’ you sighed, Jason looked a little sad.
‘I invite you, you should come, you’ll have fun’ he said as he placed your bag on your shoulder.
You couldn’t get Jason out of your head for the rest of that day, you smiled thinking about him.
‘The fuck?’ Mike snatched your sketchpad from your desk and held it up.
‘Hey, give it back’ you shot onto your feet trying to grab the book back.
Mike held it up in the air so you couldn’t reach it, laughing as chaos continued in the classroom.
‘Guys look, faggot y/n has a crush on Jason’ Mike said as he held up the sketch of Jason for everyone to see. Including Jason.
You ran out of the classroom as Mr Ward scalded Mike for his outburst.
Hilary felt the urge to go find you, but her body didn’t catch up.
The debate you had over going to Hilary’s party made you think hard, you’d been humiliated in front of all these people and now you have to face them.
You stood outside Hilary’s house, finding yourself there all of a sudden.
‘What are you doing here?’ Stacey asked as she saw you walking inside.
‘Hey y/n you came’ Jason cheered as he rushed over to you, his girlfriend giving Jason a weird look.
‘You invited him?’ Stacey asked, Jason nodded with a smile.
Hilary walked over and gave you a small hug as she welcomed you in. Jason walking with you to get you a drink.
The incident in the classroom was never mentioned, and Mike didn’t see you the whole night.
You felt attracted to Jason and Hilary picked up on it, but you were painfully shy you couldn’t bring yourself to say anything.
Stacey wandered off with a jock, Brian, and was gone for a while. Jason couldn’t find her when it was time to go home.
‘Has anyone seen Stacey?’ Jason asked, the remaining guests shook their heads.
You stood in the hallway of the house as Jason could be heard yelling, Stacey got fed up of waiting for Jason to make a move. So she made a move, with another guy.
Some time went by and you managed to get away from the drama, but every now and then Mike would still torment you.
‘Hey’ Hilary smiled as she sat opposite you, the littered floor of your books.
You smiled a little as she sat on the couch opposite and began reading.
The library was quiet, the two of you sat in a comfortable silence, you closed your books as you took your glasses off and cleaned the lenses.
Hilary waved as you went to go back to class, Hilary left the cheer squad after the big fight at her house.
Jason seemed angry most of the time and didn’t want to talk to anyone, the two of you were partnered for Chemistry. Then History.
Jason was only interested in talking about the work and didn’t want to engage in small talk. Though you weren’t offended, you figured he was embarrassed and going through stuff.
‘So, we need to study outside of school, is it ok if you drop by mine tomorrow after school to study?’ Jason asked, seemingly in a better mood.
You agreed, wanting to spend as much time with your school crush. Nothing would ever come from it, but you could enjoy it while it lasted.
Your glasses were tucked away as you walked to the front gate, an older gentleman was in the garden.
‘Hello sir, can I help you?’ The older British man asked, with a smile.
‘Hi, I’m y/n I’m looking for Jason?’ You asked, the older man rose to his feet.
His gardening gloves covered in mud and leaves, he pointed to the window to the left of the house.
‘Master Todd is just in there, go ahead in’ The older man said, you thanked him as you walked into Wayne Manor.
The Manor was built to the same level you would expect as a palace, but it wasn’t overdone. Considering where Jason lives, he isn’t a spoilt rich kid.
‘Hey y/n’ Jason greeted you as he spotted something different about you.
‘Hey, you have a nice house’ you smiled, visibly impressed as Jason studied your face.
‘Where are your glasses?’ He asked you, you pointed to your bag.
‘I have contacts in’ you revealed, Jason smiled a little.
‘You look better with glasses’ he said, pulling your book out your bag.
The two of you spent more time together as friends as well as study buddies, and you found yourself falling in love.
The walls came crashing down as you spotted Stacey rubbing Jason’s arm, the school hallways began feeling like they did before.
‘Stop touching me’ Jason barked, pulling his arm away from her touch.
You heard the interaction as you watched frozen, Jason visibly annoyed.
‘Baby please’ Stacey pleaded as she grabbed Jason’s arm, him shoving her arm away from him.
‘Fuck off, slut’ Jason said as he walked away, Stacey stood sad as her ex boyfriend walked away.
You did feel a little sad for Stacey, she knew she’d done something wrong but she also felt she couldn’t right her wrong. She had an amazing guy, she couldn’t be patient like Jason and lost him.
Study dates together seemed a little different as Jason had fire in his eyes, he seemed annoyed but never with you.
Jason became sweet with you but never pushed you, you felt like there was a little spark there.
‘You wanna hang out somewhere other than my house some time?’ Jason asked out of the blue, you seemed a little nervous to answer.
‘Yes’ you answered, a few seconds of silence as Jason smiled ear to ear from your answer.
The two of you began hanging out at other places, the diner, coffee shop and even just walking through the park together.
You kept feeling an urge to just kiss Jason, hold his hand. But you were scared of his reaction. Jason never had an issue with the fact that you’re gay, he never had any idea that you’re falling for him.
The TV screen lit the dark room as the two of you sat on Jason’s bed, the PS5 controllers in your hands as you played against each other.
Jason kept beating you in the game and the two of you laughed as you played, Jason howled with laughter as he commented on your playing skills.
‘You’re shit, like so bad dude’ Jason laughed as you nudged your glasses up your face.
‘I’m more into books bruh, video games are new to me’ you laughed along with Jason.
You both got closer, Jason looked into your eyes as he smirked a little. Your heart thumped in the ears as Jason seemed to lean in a little.
‘Fuck it’ Jason whispered under his breath as he connected his lips with yours.
It made your heart scream in joy and happiness as Jason pulled you into his lap. Taking your glasses off of your face, placing them onto his bedside table.
Jason’s hand on your face, fingers crossed over the side of your neck as your legs were opened, welcoming Jason.
Jason’s hot breath mixed with yours as he thrusted deep, making you pant a little.
The feel of Jason’s skin in yours, the feel of his body. The feeling of his manhood inside you made you feel incredible.
The sun hit your face as you woke up, the most amazing dream the night before, as you realise it wasn’t a dream. Jason’s naked body lay next to you.
You ran your hand down his chest and abdomen, feeling his tight abs. His strong muscle, the arms that held you in place all night.
‘Morning love bug’ Jason smiled as he saw you awake, you rubbed your sleepy eyes with a smile as Jason leant up and greeted your lips with a morning peck.
You stretched a little as you rose to your feet, a little lightheaded and your anus feeling a little rough.
‘Shit, it’s 10am? My dad’s gonna be home soon’ Jason saw his phone screen as he rose to his feet.
Towering at 6’3 as you stood at a shorter height, you were supposed to be home hours ago. Your parents were probably not going to be happy with you for staying out.
Jason kissed you goodbye as he promised you’d hang out again soon, your walk home was a little different as you still felt a little tired and sore. But it felt nice.
Jason was the first guy you’d had sex with, he was sweet and gentle when you told him you’d never had sex before.
The two of you began going on dates, officially, and Jason began to open up about his repressed homosexuality.
He dated Stacey because he thought he had to, not because he liked her. Jason took her adultery as a blessing in a way, it gave Jason the escapism he needed to be him.
Jason held your hand through the school hallway, everyone stopping to look as they saw you and Jason together.
Stacey spotted it and felt ashamed of herself, seeing Jason got the right person in the end.
Hilary smiled at you two and ran over to hug you both, congratulations being received as she walked with you two.
Graduation, Prom, College, Red Hood being born, you were with Jason through all of it.
10 years together and paying a mortgage as the two of you stuck together, you worked on your arms and legs a bit more.
Growing and building more muscle, Jason cooked naked in the kitchen after a heated night.
You admiring the view of his back and chest, not being able to stay away from him too long. Jason greeted your lips like a reward.
Celebrating festivities at Wayne manor as Jason held you on his lap, smiling brightly as he fluttered kisses on your shoulder every now and then.
Hilary was married and expecting her first by now, you were still best friends and of course, soon to be god father to her baby girl.
Life had a way of working out for those who waited, Jason waited for love and you waited for Jason. It worked out amazingly for the two of you, the two of you lay in bed together as Jason slept laying on your chest.
You stroked his hair, Jason sleeping soundly on you as he dreamt sweetly. Jason felt like he was the luckiest man alive to have a boyfriend like you, and you had won the lottery.

💭fake dating (100 followers special)

"yn, it's 7 in the morning," changbin mumbled after he opened the door, rubbing his tired eyes. "what's so important that you're already here?" he added, looking at you. you took a moment to stabilise your breath and when you did, you instantly started to ramble. "you remember this guy i was kind of dating recently? well, we kind of broke up and now i need someone to go with me and attend my sister's wedding. and that's why i'm here - will you please go with me as my boyfriend?" changbin's eyes were wide open right now, his face full of shock. he looked like he was seriously taking this into consideration, but then a simple "no" left his mouth. "binnie, please… i'm her maid of honour and i promised my family i will bring my boyfriend and now the wedding is in a few days and i really don't know what to do. if you want i can even pay you, just please help me from embarrassing myself in front of my family," you desperately pleaded, though you were starting to feel defeated, losing your hope.
it's not like you cared so much about what your old aunts and cousins are gonna say, but you told your sister months ago that you'll bring your 'other half' to her wedding and now it was too late to change your mind. except you didn't have an 'other half'. in the past few months you've dated three different guys but none of them stayed with you longer than a couple of weeks. something just didn't click, so now you were all alone, feeling hopeless and you started wondering what your excuse is going to be.
changbin was examining your face carefully. he noticed your sad expression and he sighed loudly. "don't you think it's going to be weird? y'know, you introducing me as your partner…" you looked at him dumbfounded and let out a slight chuckle. "bin, c'mon, we've known each other for four years and we've done so many silly things together. it's just gonna be two days and that's it. please, i'm desperate," you didn't give up. you noticed his expression getting softer and finally you heard him mumble. "fine. but after the wedding i expect you to take me to some fancy restaurant." you giggled at his words and trapped him in a tight hug, thanking him over and over again. he huffed a soft laugh, amused by your behaviour. you eventually let go of him, letting him breathe. "i'll text you all the details. thank you once again, i owe you!" you exclaimed, leaving his apartment.
you picked him up on saturday morning and drove to the wedding hall. you explained everything to him - where's his changing room, at what time he should be ready and where you were going to be in case he needed your help. as a maid of honour you were supposed to spend the whole time with your sister, helping her with make-up and outfit.
the ride was peaceful, you two didn't talk much, but the silence wasn't uncomfortable. it just felt right, listening to music in a car with changbin, occasionally cracking a joke. you didn't notice, but as you were focused on the road, changbin was stealing glances at you from time to time.
"okay, this is your room - you can leave your things here and get ready," you told him when you arrived at the hall. "i'll be there, down the corridor. if you need me, just text or call me," you added and changbin nodded. you waved at him with a soft smile and soon disappeared around the corner. he stood there for a while after and then shyly entered the room in order to get ready.
at the same time you struggled with your dress, desperately trying to get it on as quickly as possible. it wasn't your style at all, if you were picking it, the dress would look completely different, but since your sister was in charge of the outfits, you had to agree to wear it. besides, it was only for a few hours, so you figured it couldn't be that bad. "yn, someone's calling you!" you heard your sister say from across the room. she was sitting in front of the vanity table where you left your phone. you quickly managed to zip the dress and rushed to pick up. "hi binnie, do you need anything?" you said as soon as you heard changbin mumble your name. "yeah, um… that's quite embarrassing, but is there anyone who could help me with my tie?" he blurted with a faint huff. you giggled softly at his words, finding it oddly endearing. "sure, can you give me like two minutes?" you asked and changbin responded with a simple "mhm" before he hung up.
you knocked at his door only a few minutes later and when you heard changbin's voice, you entered the room. you saw him sitting hopelessly at his bed, his tie loosely hanging from his neck. changbin looked up from his phone and his jaw immediately dropped when he saw you in your gown. "are you sure it's not you who's getting married? you look stunning" changbin whispered the last part, his shocked expression made you laugh out loud. apart from the dress your appearance was rather messy - you were wearing a random pair of sneakers, your hair and make-up was undone and overall you looked miserable. but somehow changbin still reckoned you were the prettiest, though he didn't vocalise his thoughts. "okay, show me this tie," you hummed and changbin stood in front of you. you took a quick look at what was happening and you went to work. you started from the scratch, carefully forming a knot and when you finished you slightly adjusted the tie on his neck and smoothed the fabric of his suit. when you looked up you met changbin's eyes and for a brief moment everything around you stopped. it felt as if something shifted, though you weren't exactly sure what it was. eventually, you cleared your throat and took a step back. "i think i- uh… i should go get ready. i'll see you in a bit," you uttered and quickly made your way out of the room before changbin would say anything. your face was burning and you were sure no amount of foundation and concealer would be able to cover the evidence of you blushing.
changbin was way too good at talking and entertaining your family. within the first hour he was able to make friends with half of your cousins and gain the approval of your parents and aunts. "you make such a cute couple!", "i suppose you're next in line, right yn?", "his eyes say everything!" you heard from them and surprisingly it didn't make you uncomfortable at all. in fact, it strangely felt right, with changbin by your side holding your hand and placing a soft peck on your temple from time to time. god, what was happening to you?
"i think we're quite good at this whole fake dating, don't you think?" changbin asked you later when you were dancing to a slow song some of the guests picked. his arms were secured around your waist while you laced your fingers around his neck. you faintly smiled at his words, his piercing gaze was making you shy. you felt this weird urge to take him far away from all of those people and kiss him until both of you would run out of breath. "what are you thinking about?" he hummed, his soft voice bringing you back to reality. "you," you responded simply, gathering all of the courage in yourself. now or never, you thought. changbin's eyes widened in disbelief, but shortly after a smirk appeared on his face. he understood. you leaned a bit, stopping halfway through as if you wordlessly wanted to ask him for permission. changbin was quick to respond and closed the gap between you two. for the second time this day you felt as if the world stopped around you, but you didn't mind at all. after a long while you two broke the kiss but didn't really pull away from each other, your foreheads touching while you were still swaying to the music. "i suppose it's me who should take you to a fancy restaurant now, am i right?" changbin giggled, making you blush.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------ As you strolled up the cobblestone path leading to Charles Leclerc's charming house, your heart flutters with a mix of excitement and nerves. Meeting his family, would always be something that made you nervous.
You've been dating Charles for a while now, but meeting his family feels like a significant step in your relationship. The sun was setting, casting a warm, golden hue over the picturesque scene.
Charles flashed you a reassuring smile as he reached for your hand, intertwining his fingers with yours. Charles loved touching you, he always needed to be touching you somewhere.
"They're going to love you," he whispered, his eyes filled with genuine affection.
As you stepped through the front door, the lively chatter of voices filled the air. The house was bustling with warmth and laughter, instantly making you feel at ease.
Charles lead you into the cozy living room where his family had gathered. His parents greeted you warmly, their smiles mirroring Charles's as they welcomed you into their home.
"Everyone, this is y/n," Charles announced proudly, drawing the attention of his siblings and relatives.
His younger brother rushed over, his eyes sparkling with curiosity. He looked you up and down, but as he met your eyes, he flashed you an empathic smile and gave you a hug.
"You're the one Charles talks about all the time, right?" he asked with an infectious enthusiasm. "He never stops talking about you!"
Charles chuckled, a faint blush tinting his cheeks. "Guilty as charged."
His family enveloped you in warmth, making you feel like a cherished part of their circle from the moment you arrived. Charles's mother, a lively and spirited woman, regaled you with tales of Charles's childhood antics, much to his embarrassment.
His older brother shared stories of Charles's determination and passion for racing from a young age, his eyes glowing with paternal pride. He was so proud of charles.
Amidst the stories and laughter, you caught glimpses of Charles, his eyes fixed on you with unwavering adoration. He squeezed your hand gently, silently reassuring you as you navigated the joyful chaos of family gatherings.
As the evening progressed, Charles's mother brings out a delectable array of homemade dishes, filling the air with tantalizing aromas. You joined in, helping set the table and engaging in playful banter with Charles's siblings.
The atmosphere was filled with joy and love, the kind that came only from a tight-knit family. A family that would stick through everything, be always there for one another.
Later, after a delightful dinner, Charles led you to his childhood room, shared stories of his younger days. The walls adorned with trophies and childhood mementos speak volumes about his journey to becoming a Formula 1 sensation.
Sitting by the window, the soft glow of the moonlight illuminated Charles's face as he looked at you tenderly. The love he shared for you could be seen in his eyes and in his posture.
"Thank you for being here," he says softly, his voice filled with gratitude. "I've been wanting you to meet my family for so long."
You leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to his cheek. "I'm happy to be here. They're incredible, just like you."
Wrapped in each other's embrace, you both gazed out at the stars, feeling the warmth of the evening and the love that surrounded you. It would be an unforgettable moment.
At that moment, you realized that being a part of Charles's life, sharing moments like these, feels like coming home. A home that wasn't a place but a person.
As the night drew to a close, you bid Charles's family goodbye, promising to return soon. Walking hand in hand, you felt an overwhelming sense of contentment, knowing that you've been welcomed into the Leclerc family with open arms, embraced for who you are.
Charles looked at you, a soft smile playing on his lips. "They loved you, just like I knew they would."
With a heart full of love and cherished memories, you left Charles's house, feeling closer to him than ever before, excited about the future that lies ahead.

Salvation
In another parallel universe, the legend was retold. The God of Sea and his bride has A heart so great that it holds the power to bring Lemuria back to its olden days glory. The bride however, is untouchable. If so, who is going to be salvaged?
Here comes the parallel universe ending! I know it was long awaited, but thank you for waiting patiently as all of my written stories are planned meticulously hence it takes up a LOT of time.
Read the start of this series: Damnation
Read the sequel of the Damnation: Retribution
Warnings: Angst, Spoilers for Rafayel Lore, Character Deaths, Gore and Blood (tbh its a common theme for this series already). A little bitty suggestive heh cause my hormones are raging for this man. Smol surprise at the end :)
Tumblr media
"Tomorrow marks the day." Rafayel's slender fingers ran through y/n's curls, a smile slowly stretched across her lips, her cheeks evidently turning rubescent under the moonlight's sheen. "Tomorrow is the day I shall bring you to visit Lemuria." The purple haired god laid next to his soon-to-be bride, on her bed, in her chambers. The thing he could do to her right here and right now were endless. And none of them involved any items of clothing. That was how much the young god was holding himself back.
The smile on her face never faded, as her small hands reached up to cup both sides of his cheeks, his face warm and soft to her touch. "I can't wait. Hearing all of those stories from you, no pictures nor drawings could possibly compare to the reality of seeing your kingdom with my own eyes." She said, eyeing Rafayel glistening under the moonlight, the shadow on his face does not cover up his ethereal looks. Rafayel leaned in closer to her, his breath mingled against her cheeks. "You know we should not kiss until tomorrow, right?"
Her reminder of the pre-wedding taboo made him grunted, his lips formed an immediate pout and he threw his head back, clearly frustrated. "I should be the one to ban such traditions next time." He grumbled, but calmed down to look at her when her hands cupped his cheeks again, thumbs smoothing over his chiselled jawline. "How could one possibly live with not kissing their bride the day before their wedding?"
His childlike remark made her giggled. "Your people had done it for ages, and I figured it would only be right if we were to go along with such customs. As I shall be the first mortal bride afterall. I do not wish to upset any of your merfolks." She raised her hand up, surrendering herself and Rafayel leaned forward to hug her tight within his arms. Laughters erupted from the both of them.
When they looked into each other's eyes, their laughters slowed down, mesmerised by one another's gaze. Y/n could barely believe that this very moment is happening to her. It felt like yesterday when she had rescued Rafayel from the sandy shores and released him back into the ocean after he had promised to return to her some day. Now, here they are, awaiting for a grand wedding tomorrow, an official bond to be tied between the God of the Sea and his mortal bride.
The once cherubic looking Rafayel had grown into the dashing young god he is today. With misty purple locks that are naturally wavy---although he constantly claimed that it was the sea water that turned it wavy. Eye colour a mixture of lilac purple and lapis blue, that could change colour depending on the lighting and his mood. A personality that not many can and would want to handle given his nonchalant-ness. Mixing in good looks and his non-chalant attitude, he is like walking trouble amongst mortals.
But she knew Rafayel better than anyone. She knows the way he talks, although condescending to some, she knows that he is not just a talker, but also a doer. He nags her over the smallest of things, be it her dress colour not matching her lip colour for the day or whatnot; she knows that he cares for everything, even for the smallest of details. He yaps like he knows what he wants and gives off the vibe of an independent individual, but deep down, he is just a needy young man, seeking for her constant comfort, validation, love and affection.
These are just some of the small characteristics of Rafayel that made her fall for him even more. She watched as Rafayel inched in, his lips aligned with hers. But before she got to utter a word, he quickly moved his lip upwards and pressed a big kiss onto her forehead. "If I could not kiss your lips, I would just have to settle for kisses on your forehead and cheeks then." He teased her and continued barraging her face with kisses. Their laughters for the night were endless.
Rafayel sat at the edge of her window sill, turning around to watch her as she was fast asleep, her brunette hair messily tousled all over the bed, but she looked picturesque, with the silvery moonlight painted across parts of her face and the steady breathing of her chest made her a living art in Rafayel's eyes. "I shall see you later, my beloved bride." Not wanting to wake her in her slumber, he dived into the water below.
...
"Your highness! Stop running so quickly!" The maid, Natasha cried out, struggling to keep up with the bride's quick feet. "Your dress might get dirty and unkempt! And I did not receive any other gowns from them!" Sadly, the maid was the only one who gave her blessing to y/n's marriage. The king and queen could care less as long as Rafayel kept their pockets loaded with gold.
"Come on Natasha, lessen the apprehension, would you?" The bride slowed down her footsteps and turned to flash her maid a wide smile. "Today is a big day after all and I know, everything is going to be alright." Seeing the bride's grin, Natasha sighed in defeat and trotted behind the bride, exhausted but still anticipating to watch the union ceremony.
When they arrived near the sea stacks, Natasha handed her a red velvet box. Upon opening the latch, the box opened to reveal a veil, one woven from silk that could only be harvested from sea anemones that grow in the far West, the ones that only glow during the winter times. The veil was translucent, with an iridescence of silver glow whenever the light refracted off of its material. The crown that goes around her head is made out of pearls that were harvested from oysters that could only be found in the southern region of the seas. Collected and crushed by the merfolks and infused with a rare blue gem that only Lemurians possessed to create the crown for the veil.
The veil shorts of nothing extravagant, as expected of the God of Sea's taste. Rafayel ensured that this veil was done 6 months prior to the wedding as he does not appreciate any mishaps especially when it is related to his bride. Y/n took the veil out of the box and she carefully placed it on top of her head, Natasha going behind her to dust off the excess sand off of the back of the wedding gown. She also took the time to adjust the veil behind y/n's head, wanting to make sure everything is in place before the ceremony begins.
"It has to be perfect. Perfect." She remembered the way Rafayel nodded his head towards her, spelling the word PERFECT to her just so she could understand him. But Natasha caught him the moment he said the first sentence. Although she just waved him off that time, she knew that on the day of the wedding, Rafayel is the last person she would want to upset. Who knows what would happen to her if she made him upset. The thought itself sent a shudder down her spine.
"How do I look?" Y/n turned to face Natasha and the maid's heartwarming gaze gave her just the answer she needed to hear indirectly. "I can't wait for this Natasha." She held onto the maid's hands tightly. Horns started blaring loudly and the two women looked towards the sea stacks together. The sun rise made the sea blended in with the sands on the shore, the saturated warm glow casted upon the surface of the waters a sight to behold indeed.
Trumpets and choirs joined in with the blaring of the horns and y/n knew it was time for her to present herself walking towards the sea stacks. "Your Highness, your bouquet. Don't forget it." The maid shoved a bouquet of flame lilies and the bride muttered a thanks, hastily holding onto the bouquet before she stepped out from the backs of the huge rock.
The appearance of the bride made the merfolks gasped in awe, the off-shoulder wedding dress was made out of fine silk, and it did a great job in outlining her bodyline and curves perfectly. Her dress cut off at the mid of her thighs, but a big ribbon was attached to her right hip, aiding in the aesthetic and transitional fabric from fine silk to a chiffon tail. The tail of the dress was completely see through, with droplets of diamonds sewn on it. The bride glowed under the ray of the sun and nobody could have dreamed of a better start to a wedding.
Rafayel emerged from the waters, in his mundane form of course, riding on top of two orcas and he was delivered right onto the top of the sea stacks. His clumsy stumble made her giggled, hands going up to cover her mouth. Rafayel donned a full white suit, with a swallow tail at the back of his tuxedo, his hair neatly styled, probably with the help of his people. And the left side of his pocket peeked a corsage with flame lilies, same as the ones she has as a bouquet in her hands.
Upon seeing his bride, Rafayel was enthralled at her beauty, his jaw dropping slightly ajar before one of the merman spit water at him thus he only managed to snap himself back to reality, glaring at the merman who spat at him as he reached up to wipe the stain off of his sleeves. Not like the water did anything to his outfit either, but he had to be sure of it. It is their big day after all.
"Ain't this my bride." Rafayel said confidently when he walked to the edge of the sea stacks, reaching out his hand to her, for her to take so he could guide her onto the sea stacks. "Careful, I do not wish for my bride to be unable to walk before the grand night tonight, yeah?" His wink made her face flushed instantly and she smacked his arm playfully.
Standing next to him, she felt like everything was set in stone for her finally. She got to marry the one that she had always been in love with and she will be one of the very first mortals to visit this forbidden land under the waters. "Here, we rejoice in each other's company. One of merfolk and the other of mortal." Amund, Rafayel's trusty friend took the opportunity to solemnize the wedding.
"This moment shall mark the first of its kind in mortal and merfolk's history. A reunion to be witnessed between the God of the Sea, Rafayel, and his bride, a mortal. y/n. Shall there be any objections towards this blessed reunion..." Amund trailed off, eyes scanning the crowd, both in the waters and the only human on land before he continued. "You shall not be entertained." His sentence took everyone by surprise and everyone shared an understanding laughter. "Hence, Rafayel, would you take y/n to be your beloved wife? Through all suffrage, illness and happiness?"
Rafayel nodded, facing her and confidently saying. "I will always say yes to that. For I will love you for ages to come."
"How about you y/n, would you accept the God of the Sea, Rafayel's intentions of having to love you through all?" You immediately nodded and Amund shouted. "This reunion is blessed, you may kiss the bride!" Rafayel's lip immediately pressed against his bride's, the kiss shared between the two erupted a huge reaction from the crowd. Claps and whistlings and shoutings could be heard from all directions. The choir then resumed its melody when Rafayel pulled back from her lips. "Y/N?" His smile faltered as he watched his bride's irises had turned into a shade of blood red, matching the same colour of the liquid that was oozing out of his chest, staining his white suit into crimson red.
...
Y/N jolted awake in her own bed, beads of sweat littered all across her face. Running her palms across her face, surprised that her face is cold to her touch despite the current season is far from winter. Reaching over to her bedside drawer, she fetched her goblet and drank the contents of it.
A couple of knocks could be heard from her oak door. "Come in." The door slowly opened to reveal one of the maids, Clarrice. The red head walked in, silver tray in her hand, ready to be served to the princess. She bowed partially as a sign of respect, then placed the tray by the highness' study table before she walked over to pull open the heavy drapes of the curtains to reveal the warm sun rays shining in from the windows.
"It seems like your highness has chosen to sleep in today, hence I had drawn your curtains whilst you were in deep slumber." Clarrice smiled, her pink thin lips a contrast to her pale complexion, brown freckles strewn like constellations on her face. Y/N sat on the bed, eyebrows knitted together, not being able to figure out why Natasha is not greeting her as per usual. Given Natasha was the maid that was specifically assigned to care for the princess.
"Have you seen Natasha anywhere?" The princess questioned, taking another sip out of the goblet in her hand. Milk cold to the inside of her mouth, when the princess had always been accustomed to warm milk in the morning.
"Your highness, Natasha was nowhere to be found within her chambers at dawn." When the maid replied, she watched the princess' eyes narrowed and nervously added on. "It seems like Natasha had left the palace in a hurry. All of her items remained within her chambers, including her uniform. All that was missing was her common outfit. She could have left for the farmers market?" The hesitation in the maid's tone does not sit right with y/n.
"You may head on with your day now. Thank you." The princess spoke promptly and the maid hurried out of the chambers. Placing the goblet back onto the bedside drawer, y/n started retracing the dream she had earlier on. All she remembered from her memory was her being at a beach...the beach near the sea stacks!
The princess catapulted herself off of the bed, still in her outfit. Her outfit. She did not noticed the outfit she had on while she was in bed. She is wearing a gown. Specifically a fancy one, one would wear for a wedding. Wedding ceremony. Natasha. Rafayel. When the pieces started to piece together, so did her heart rate quickened. Raising her hands to her vision, she caught sight of splatters of crusted liquid on her palms, a brownish shade with specks of what seems to be blue fairy dust.
Realisation hit her with a truck and she grabbed the rope and tossed it out of her window, sliding down it as fast her hands would allow her to, the pain of the rope burn unregistered into her senses. Guards at this hour were most likely deployed to their stations within the towers hence allowing her escape all the more easier. Once her feet touched the ground, she ran with her bare feet and went out through the gardens behind the palace that leads her straight towards the seas.
Her bare feet carried her past the sandy shores, the strong currents of the sea breeze accompanying her speed. Coming across the huge rock that leads towards the sea stacks, she slowed down her footsteps, seeing bloody imprints on the sand, foot prints that belong to a human.
When she came to the sea stacks, the scene in front of her made her heart stopped beating for a good while. There laid Natasha, on the shore, with a pool of red replacing her shadow. Some parts of her blood on the shore were darkened, a natural occurrence of oxidation of the bodily fluids. The princess screamed for her maid, her friend, and ran towards her, tears uncontrollably rushed down her cheeks. She turned the maid over, only to find the young maiden was covered in stab wounds all across her torso. "Who did this to you?!" She shouted in agony, pulling the deceased into her arms as she cried, while cradling her friend.
"Y/N...." A voice cut through her cries and the nightmare does not end. "Y/N..." Just when she thought she had to suffer losing Natasha, she was met with the image of the God of the Sea, her beloved husband, her forever lover, laid on the sea stacks, blood emitting from the side of his mouth, his eyes losing their usual glow as he tried to call out to her. "RAFAYEL!" The princess cried, laying her friend down carefully onto the sand before she rushed over to Rafayel's side, stumbling her way up the sea stacks and having barnacles cutting into her skin. Yet again, her physical pain were not registered to her senses as of this moment. "RAFAYEL!" Her cries were unstoppable now, eyes turning bloodshot as she pulled her lover into her arms. "What happened?! I will go and get help..."
As she wanted to stand up to leave, Rafayel grabbed ahold of her hand and she regained the memory of the actual cause behind the happening.
...
The vision was murky but she could clearly hear a conversation taken place between two individuals. It seemed to take place within a cave, a female figure, with a singular eel-like tail and a merman, were having a talk. "If she remains untouchable, your kind shall perish." The feminine voice spoke, long, crooked fingers holding onto a round, translucent ball with spikes on it. She seemed to be studying the ball as she spoke. "Eradicating either one might be beneficial for you, as long as the heart is willing to be given."
"Does this mean I have to kill off the God? With my own hands?" The merman spoke, hesitation laced in his voice.
"Do not fret." The woman chanted a spell and a blue pearl appeared within her fingertips. "The mighty gem of Lemurians right? Infuse this with the crown that you would be making for her and the spell shall happen upon their kiss of rejoice, as husband and wife." She handed the blue pearl to the merman and added. "At least now, you won't get your hands dirty."
The merman kept the pearl in his pouch then placed a huge woven basket in front of the woman, a compensation of sorts for her 'service'. The merman turned to exit the caves and y/n gasped when she realised that the merman was Amund.
Her vision then flashed forward towards the moment when she wore the veil. Upon kissing Rafayel, she immediately got possesed by an unknown force, but an entity of evil origins. A dagger was summoned into her hands out of thin air and she stabbed Rafayel right in the heart with it. Y/n screamed out, but her voice was muted, playing the role of a bystander as the vision continued unfolding itself. The God of the Sea was taken aback as he had never thought he would be killed by his very own sworn lover.
His eyes looked into hers. Pupils blown out of the usual proportion before he spat out blood, splatters of it hitting her wedding gown and her face, but the possessed bride was unfazed. Merfolks were horrified as they hurriedly scattered into the seas. For an entity so evil that dares to challenge the God of the Sea, the merfolks know that they are powerless against this possessed individual, be it a mundane. So they chose to flee, hoping that the warrior amongst them, the longest friend of Rafayel's, would come to the rescue.
But Amund just stood by the shore, now in his human form, as he watched the blatant massacre happening right in front of him. A small smirk creeped up onto his face when he knew right then and there, the future of his people are secured. The foregone of a God shall mean one or two of the foretold endings. The princess willingly sacrifices herself to save Lemuria as she knew how much Lemurians mean to Rafayel. Or Amund shall dig the heart out of her if she chooses to be selfish. All with the end goal of him being viewed as the hero, salvaging Lemuria from its end days.
...
The vision ended, with y/n in shock, eyes staring blankly at Rafayel's body in her arms. The God of Sea finally letting his tears run astray, flowing down his cold and blanched face when his bride slowly came to her own realisation. The young god had once told his bride about the specialty of her heart, for he had given half of his heart to her when they made a promise during their first meet.
That moment, Rafayel summmoned a small blue fish within his palms, stating that blue fishes are emissaries of the sea, but he lied partially, knowing the moment she wanted to release him back into the ocean, he had fell in love with her and was sure that she will be the one. Hence, a bonding vow was made without her knowledge, and part of his heart was given to her as a contribution of his love.
The princess turned out to be the bait, the bait to kill Rafayel when he least expected it, just so Amund could gain the heart of either the God or the bride and to return glory to Lemuria. But Rafayel, although wanted to marry a mundane, had never once thought of abandoning his kind. His plan was to bring her to live with him within Lemuria, and with both of their hearts within the vicinity of one another, it could restore glory to Lemuria and no bloodshed would take place. And obviously, this plan was only known to the God of Sea himself. As a God only does what is best for his people and his actions shall reap what he sows.
"Im sorry!" Y/N's lips are only wired to speak these two words, body shaking and voice hoarse, mentally and physically pained, watching the dying God in front of her eyes. "I can't do this without you, Rafayel." Her hands cupped his cheeks, his blood painting her palms in red. "Please don't leave me..." She continued begging. "I could never forgive myself...Please don't go...."
"I am here...I will always be here..." The bride's cries would not stop, eyes avoiding his as she knew that he was stating the opposite of what he actually meant. Until her eyes landed on the dagger that was laid beside Rafayel. The same dagger that she had used to stab Rafayel in his heart, and the same dagger that Amund had used to kill Natasha as to eliminate any witnesses. Rafayel's eyes caught on eventually, but with him on the verge of death, he was physically unable to stop her.
He watched his bride, with eyes widened in terror while choking onto his own blood, trying to form words. "I love you." Were her last words before she stabbed herself with the dagger, right into her chest as well, where his and her heart lies. What comes afterwards was her choking and simultaneously spitting blood right out of her mouth, a sign of her haemorrhaging.
If nobody could take his heart, she shall not give up hers as well. A smile of relieve dawned on her face, the rosiness of her cheeks gradually fading as crimson tears replaced the redness of her cheeks. For she is a mundane, she could not hold on any longer like how Rafayel did, as it takes a while for a God to be fully bled dry.
Her whole body fell limply, like a puppet torn from its strings, and her face landed right in front of Rafayel, forehead touching his. The last breath the God of Sea took, was surrounded by the sounds of the clashing waves, basked within the warmth of the sunrise, his lifeless eyes stayed open, tear streaks are the only colours apparent on his pale face, just like his bride's.
...
Hundreds of years had passed. Linkon city's renowned museum held a grand exhibition, displaying all there is for one to know about the hidden city Lemuria, and its people, Lemurians. The exhibition featured paintings, artworks, artifacts and even 'theoretically-accurate' skeletal structures of the Lemurians. As this exhibition, does run on nothing factual but relying heavily on theories and legends arising from sea explorers.
Y/n held an information pamphlet in her hand, browsing the exhibition before she stopped at one of the large paintings with the title 'God of the Sea'. The painting featured a merman, a tail with two fins for the bottom half of his torso, while the upper is made of a man. Her eyes glanced over at the God of the Sea's face, a fish head that looked all too similar to a sardine fish.
"Don't you think this artwork is suspicious?" A voice travelled from beside her, the tone of the sentence laced with disgust. "In fact, I think this whole exhibition is a total scam." Y/n turned her head to face the source of the voice. A towering young man stood next to her, wearing a white V-neckline shirt and paired with a pair of black slacks and black dress shoes, his midriff secured with a wide belt. "What do you say?" He turned his head to face her, his dusky purple hair matching the shade of his purplish-pinkish-bluish eyes. A smile evidently plastered on his handsome features.
"Who are you to say that?" Y/n crossed her arms across her chest, raising her eyebrows.
"The name's Rafayel." He confidently spoke, eyes glinting with amusement. "Anyways, mind grabbing a cup of coffee with me?"
... DUN DUN DUN!
And this shall officially mark the end for the pain! The story although still had mentions of angst and still caused some evident damage to your hearts, but I made sure I shall give you guys a good ending okay! Do not confuse this timeline with Damnation and Retribution as those are coexisting with this current timeline. SO yes! If you paid enough attention the details, the sea stacks... the sea witch blah blah..... IT IS ALL INDIRECTLY CONNECTED (depending on how you piece it based on your understanding). But yes, my story is written in this specific manner because I purposely wanted the worlds to be connected!
I really really hope you guys had enjoyed this series as I shall be writing more series as such in the future, either with Zayne or Xavier so please stay tuned for that!
If you could, drop me comments on what you think about this story as well! Even if it hurts you, makes you wanna smack yourself (pls dont do that), or whether it leaves you unfazed, I am nosy and I wanna know how this series has affected you mentally! Check out my other works as well on my page!

shot at the night series.
pt. two - the hellcat spangled shalalala
your name is a drawstring laced around my neck, tighter with every breath.
You had approached him first, after your prof caught you off guard with an outlandish take. You glanced over to Jason with your confused and slightly mortified eyes at the rather dated opinion, unable to stop the grin from spreading over your face as you both chuckled a little too loudly. A few people shot looks your way, and you mouthed an apology to him before you both turned back to your notes. Jason thought that had been it, sure you two always sat a chair away from each other and were in the same tutorial and you always smelled so good when he’d walk by, but you were a passing figure in Jason’s life.
Or you were supposed to be until you stopped him at the door, fingers darting out to brush his forearm before you dropped your hand to your side. You offered an apologetic smile while Jason stared at you a little wide eyed.
“Hey, sorry. I just, I dunno. Anyway we were in the same tutorial yeah? And I thought I’d introduce myself. In case we need notes or help or something.” You said, giving him your name while Jason nodded slowly.
A moment of silence passed, you blinked up at him and Jason laughed, “Oh, uh I’m Jason, and yeah sure.”
“Yeah sure? You don’t have to agree if—“
“No—I didn’t mean it like that,” He interrupted with wild urgency before composing himself, “It’s nice to meet you and yeah that’d be great. Thanks.” Jason offered you a grin and your furrowed brows settled.
“Okay, well here’s my number. See ya around Jason!” You beamed at him like you hadn’t been accusing him moments ago, slipping out the door and off the whatever class you had next. He glanced down at the ripped piece of paper with your number. Who gives out their number like this anymore? He thought to himself, shoving the piece of paper into his pocket and ignoring how much he liked the way you said his name.
~
It was a steady friendship after that, you liked having someone outside your usual circle, someone to help with class and Jason liked you. He knew after a few weeks of consistently hanging out, usually in the library or empty lecture halls, but sometimes in your dorms. Sitting side by side in your bed or sprawled out on the floor in Jason’s single room were moments seared into his brain. Private and quiet in those small spaces, especially in your shared bedroom, that demanded close proximity. Maybe he should have put the pieces together then, fully coming to terms with his onslaught of feelings for you, but it took a boring day in the library for Jason to fully clue in.
You were sharing a booth and Jason was letting you copy his notes from the lecture you missed last week. You were close, typing with silent intent while Jason took in your side profile. The soft curve of your cheek, your lashes sweeping each time you glanced between screens and lips plump and wet from your tongue running over them out of habit. Jason knew he was staring, but he couldn’t bring himself to stop.
When that crossed Jason’s mind, something tight bit into his chest as he realized no one admired their friends like that. He had always thought you were cute, and a nice presence to be around, but that warm feeling you fostered in his chest felt different—heavier when you looked up at him.
“Done!” You chimed, breaking Jason from his realization with your sweet voice. “Thanks again. I might need help studying this chapter when the final comes up but I should be good for now.” You closed your laptop, shuffling your books into your bag and letting Jason know your time together was coming to an end. He felt selfish for wanting more time with you, but you had already told him when you flopped down that you wouldn’t be able to stay long. Jason had tried not to appear annoyed then, but couldn’t care less now as he closed his laptop with a bit too much force. It garnered your attention as you glanced over at him with concern, “All good?”
Okay maybe he did care.
“Uh, yeah, yeah.” Jason nodded absentmindedly and hated how nervous you made him. How could he not see it before, the way words seemed to stick to the roof of his mouth and coherent thoughts flew out the window each time you two studied together. How it got worse when you were close, leaning into him or slapping his arm when he was criticizing one of your papers.
“Oookay,” You said it like you didn’t believe him before turning to face him fully, “One of my friend’s boyfriend or something works at a bar so my friends and I are going there tonight if you wanna join. I know its not really our thing, but we didn’t get to hang out today so.”
Our thing. Jason liked how that sounded, the implication of it. Like time spent together and even Jason himself was your own private little thing, it was special and not to be shared. It was a dangerous way to think of your friendship—of love—but Jason burned hotter at the thought regardless. And with you being scorned by your lack of time together as well, it all made something wicked pour into Jason’s chest as he a grin lit up his face. The guilt of having to cancel on Roy vanished immediately as he nodded.
“Yeah, just text me the details.”
You smiled wide, arms thrown around his shoulders as you hugged Jason for the first time before leaving him breathless amongst the shelves of books.
~
Jason almost pussied out, a block away from the bar and filled with dread. He questioned why he had agreed when this was the first time you two would be together outside the pretense of school work, on top of coming to terms with his feelings for you. And while studying together never meant solely talking about school, you two chatted about growing up in Gotham and dealing with being away from home. You both loved food and had a habit of showing each other what dishes you made the night before. You were also fond of baking when you visited friends' apartments, and would him banana bread or lemon squares on top of a coffee some days. You had asked his drink order the first time you two had hung out, and would always text him when you were running late if he wanted anything.
He would always say no and you would get him a drink anyways. “It’s my late tax.” You shrugged once, leaving him a bit speechless at how nonchalant your ability to care was.
Relishing in those moments made Jason breathe a bit easier, stuffing his hands into his leather jacket’s pockets and continuing down the street lamp lit road. He could hear muffled chatter and music playing as he neared, and despite wanting to sneak in without detection, you were outside sharing a cigarette with a friend and laughing amongst yourselves. You spotted Jason over your friend’s shoulder, immediately abandoning your conversation in favour of greeting him. Pride boasted in his chest, but it was quickly overcame by affection as you half ran, half drunk waddled over, arms wrapping around his waist before he could even breathe out a hello.
“I’m so happy you showed up.” You muttered into his jacket, pulling away just as Jason went to wrap his arms around you. You blinked up at him in the dopey sort of way, and it made him smile.
“You been here a while?” He asked, your brows pulling together.
“Are you saying I appear intoxicated Jason?” You teased, his name always sounding so right when you said it, especially now. Low and teasing, heavy with whatever you had drank.
“Depends, you always use big words when you’re drunk?” He jutted his chin at you, calmness flowing into his chest. Jason felt stupid for being worried, when he wasn’t so caught up in how you made him feel, you brought an ease out of him. A playfulness that sometimes left him tripped up and face hot, but you never seemed to notice.
“Pfft, you haven’t even heard the big words I know Mr. Literature Major.” He rolled his eyes, as you poked his chest. Your name was called before he could think of a response, both of you turning your attention towards the bar.
“Oh you can finish it, it's fine.” You waved your hand at your friend holding your smoke, more focused on Jason as you slipped beside him. You linked arms, leaning your weight into him as you headed towards the entrance. “Everyone’s inside, sorry if I reek of smoke.”
“I don’t mind.” He murmured, looking down at you and wondering how easy it would be to press a kiss to the top of your head. To lean over and—
“Oh by the way—“ Your voice pulled Jason from his thoughts, and he realized he was being introduced to the friend you were smoking with. He’d be hard pressed to remember her name, but she seemed nice enough. Jason had to force himself to be present as your arm slipped from his, and a chorus of voices greeted the two of you. You introduced everyone first, he was normally good with names and faces, in seas of people or gatherings like this, but Jason felt otherworldly. The only presence he felt grounded to was you, sitting next to him with one of your legs crossed over the other, calf brushing his shin as you told everyone how you two met.
“Wait—don’t you play for the basketball team?” One of your guy friends suddenly asked, and for some reason Jason immediately looked to you, to find you staring right back at him with a confused expression.
“Oh yeah, I’m starting this season—“
You slapped his arm with a shocked chuckled, “You have never told me that! What the hell!” You yelled, not louder than the chatter filling the bar as no one even looked your way. Everyone laughed as he shrugged, running his fingers through his wavy locks while you eyed him.
“Yeah I remember seeing a post with you, I think I remembered your hair.” Your friend continued, making you laugh softly. The stark white strands at the front that fell into his eyes sat against the raven black of the rest of Jason’s hair. You had asked him once if he dyed it like that, and Jason only shook his head no, continuing with the chapter like no follow up would be needed. It was perhaps why your hand found his, the one resting on his thigh underneath the table.
Your fingers curled around his hand and you let the conversation drift onto Jason’s basketball career. You listened intently, your chair right next to his as he talked about playing in the public courts as a kid, and was on a real team for the first time in highschool. He didn’t think he’d go to school for a basketball scholarship, but it seemed like the right time when he was offered. And while it was mostly true, Jason skipped over some of the more gruesome details of his life you had gotten pieces of, you knew he lived on the streets before he was adopted, but Jason never spoke of his adoptive father. You didn’t even have a name for the man who had given him a chance at life, but you were never one to push. You knew when to ask and when not too, you seemed to understand that Jason’s temperament existed on a razor sharp line, and walked it effortlessly.
“I feel kinda dumb because who is friends with someone this goddamn tall and doesn’t ask if they play basketball or volleyball even.” You snorted at one point, making Jason laugh. You let your hand fall from his then, pushing yourself up to get another drink. A few friends requested shots and you asked Jason if he wanted anything, but he shook his head no. He almost offered to go with you, but you were gone before he had the chance. He was left alone to be interrogated more about his life, which he didn’t mind, he was used to it.
It came with being a collegiate level athlete and one of the sons of Gotham’s favourite billionaire, even if most people his age didn’t know that. But it was always the same shit, especially college guys who loved to live some NBA fantasy through Jason though that wasn’t what he was striving for. Jason wanted his degree and if playing basketball helped him focus and work out everything he kept inside, then so be it. Jason never mentioned it to you because he had never seen himself as an athlete who has to go to school, but instead as a student with the perk of playing a sport he enjoyed. He felt a bit wrong for not sharing that side of his life with you, for wanting you to know him and what he loved as much as he wanted to know that about you.
It would be something to dwell on later as you returned with your friends' drinks, and on your second trip you brought a drink for yourself and another beer for Jason. You only sent him a smile as you set it down, falling back into the conversation as the night rolled on. Jason did his best to stay attentive, but you all were a little drunk and tripping over words by a certain point. Jason felt warm and content next to you, unsure how many drinks you two had ended up getting for another, but appreciating how you felt beside him regardless.
“I’m gonna go smoke and then wander my ass home.” You declared, leaving a few bills on the table which Jason immediately scooped back up.
“I got ours.” He said, pushing himself up a little too fast that his chair tipped backwards. You giggled a little unceremoniously at the sight before his words hit your ears. You began to object, but Jason had already slunk to the bar while your friends picked his chair, and closed out whatever tab you had. He was sure he ended up paying for a few of your friends' drinks too, but didn’t have the capacity to care. You were outside by the time he was back, bidding goodbye to your friends before joining you in the chilly air. “Are you actually walking home?” Jason asked, stealing your cigarette from between your fingers while you pouted.
“No, I ordered an uber. It's not coming for like ten minutes but I wanted air.” You said, voice sleepy with words falling into another.
“I’ll wait with you.”
“You can uber with me, if you want.” You offered and Jason considered it. It would mean more time alone with you, but he wasn’t sure he could keep it up anymore. With alcohol heavy in his bones and nicotine burning his throat, Jason didn’t know if he could keep it hidden anymore. Keep his feelings at bay when all his inhibitions were down and telling him not to. It was too dangerous, too risky so he shook his head no reluctantly.
“I could use the air too.” You nodded as he passed back your smoke, the hum from the bar and citylife filled the air before you looked down at your phone.
You stared unmoved for a moment, then your eyes met Jason’s. Green and heavy with want, he knew it was obvious. And either you were oblivious or didn’t care as you looked at him unfazed. Drunk and tired, but nothing heavy lurked in your gaze. It made his mouth go sour, but your voice broke any annoyance from flowering.
“Hey, when’s your next game?” You asked, swaying on your feet every so faintly.
“Uh, next Friday I think. Why?” Jason sounded a bit harsher than he meant, but you only laughed.
“Is it cool if I come watch?”
“Yeah it’s not like I can’t stop you,” You frowned at that and Jason was ready to blame the alcohol, “Sorry, I meant I'd like it if you came. My friend Roy, you met him last time he was visiting, is here again and gonna go on Friday if you wanna go with him.”
“Yeah! That’d be great!” You closed the space between you two and pulled Jason into a hug. Your arms wound around his shoulders this time, pulling him down to your level as you stood on your tippy toes. He wasted no time wrapping his strong arms around you, hands splayed on your back as his nose brushed the juncture where your shoulder and neck met. You smelled as good as you always did, a bit like liquor and sweat too, but still that summery scented warmth. It was oceanic and sweet, like that earthy natural sweetness. The kind from berries and sap, that stick to your tongue and remind you of hot endless days.
And maybe Jason was drunk and reading too much romantic poetry recently for one of his courses, or maybe he just wanted to let himself go, to feel whatever you made him feel tenfold with no hesitation. Jason let his head tilt forward, lips brushing the side of your neck before he placed a soft, open mouth kiss next to where your perfume was the strongest. Where it enveloped his senses and made him forget the reality of his life and your friendship. His tongue darted out to brush where his lips had met your skin when your fingers clutched his shoulders and pushed your bodies apart.
You stared at him a little wide eyed, his long arms still able to breach the distance and distantly holding onto your waist before the car pulling up next to you snapped Jason to reality as his grasp fell from you. Regret filled Jason instantly, words unable to form as his tongue ran across his bottom lip. You followed the action with your eyes, arms hugged around your chest as you took another step back.
“I’ll see you in class next week okay?” You said, expression softening as Jason forced a smile and nod like he hadn’t just ruined everything you two had built. You waved before ducking into the car, and vanishing into the night. Jason started walking home immediately, eyes focused on the pavement and how his steps fell on after another until he was home. He didn’t even change before rolling into bed, tossing off his hoodie and kicking off his boots before letting the promise of sleep and forgetting overtake him.
Jason thought he would wake up in a better mood, a less angry one.
He was wrong.
~
though I probably deserve this noose, there's one thing I'd like to adduce…just know I never resented you.
Jason knew he was being childish, probably handling it in the worst way, but he decided to take a cue from your reaction to his kiss, and was avoiding you. The few times you crossed paths on campus, he would send you a quick wave or fake smile before veering off in whatever direction was furthest from you. You managed to trap him in one conversation, asking if you still were on to study after class. “Uh sure, works for me.” Jason fidgeted with his zipper before bidding you goodbye and spinning out of the building he needed to be in.
He was also texting you less, keeping his phone in his bag most of the day and replying half heartedly. He was sure you knew something was up—how could you not expect Jason to be awkward all things considered?
And if you were still clueless to his avoidance, Jason made it clear when he walked past the desk you two normally shared during lecture. You had looked up as he headed down the stairs dividing the lecture hall into three. Yet Jason kept his head forward, opting to sit on the left side of the theater and closer to the front. He could feel your gaze following him, and Jason only worked up the courage once to steal a glance in your direction to see you typing furiously.
His head snapped back to the front as he pretended to listen. Jason did try to pay attention, but guilt was slowly eating him whole. He was so grateful when the lecture finally ended, taking his time to pack up and relieved to see you had already left by the time Jason started heading to the exit. Or so he thought until you stood across from the doors, arms crossed over your chest, clearly unimpressed.
“We still on to study?” You asked, clipped. Jason was sure this was the first time he had actually seen you mad, and hated he was the cause of it.
“I have a last minute practice tonight.” He said and you scoffed. Basketball had never once gotten in the way of your friendship to the point you didn’t even know he was on the team.
“Sure, okay. Well have fun and see ya around Jason.” You rolled your eyes as you pushed off the wall, shaking your head as you brushed past him. His eyes fell closed, head tipping forward as he let out a hefty sigh. Broad chest expanding and falling as he blew out hot air.
“Fuck.” He muttered, running a hand over his face and heading to the gym until night had rolled in. He would’ve stayed longer, doing a few laps in the pool perhaps, until Jason remembered Roy was still in his dorm.
Jason knew he wasn’t only being a shitty friend to you, but he had abandoned Roy twice now during his visit. It was too much guilt for Jason to hold and he didn’t have the space for it as he headed back to his friend, praying Roy wasn’t too mad. And he wasn’t, instead sleeping with his head by the foot of Jason’s bed and limbs hanging off all sides.
It made Jason laugh, a lightness filling him for the first time today. His game was tomorrow and Roy would be there and maybe it would be enough.
~
You weren’t going to show, Jason was sure of it. Well, there was the outlier possibility you might, but no, logically you were pissed and not going to show up. Unless maybe to boo him. That made Jason chuckle, pulling off his headphones as he half listened to his coach and captains’ last minute pep talk. It wasn’t the most important game, losing wouldn’t drop the teams standing much, but winning would look good as hell.
That appealed enough to Jason who was rolling out his ankles before pushing to his feet, the black of his jersey contrasted the white long sleeve he had underneath. His hair had gotten long enough to sweep back into a small ponytail, the short strands falling forward and framing his face. He caught a glimpse of himself in one of the mirrors as everyone headed out of the lockeroom. Jason looked happy, it seemed like a foreign expression on his face, especially as of late. But the prospect of losing himself in a game always appealed to Jason and would soon became reality.
It was his needed escape, from all the chaos he had caused, but his peace came to halt when Jason searched for Roy in the sea of people and found you next to him. Roy had a conniving grin, so maybe he was a little mad at being abandoned and hearing Jason mope about you for the last few days.
One of Jason’s teammates slammed into his back as his sneakers squeaked to a stop.
“You good man?” He asked, placing a hand on Jason’s arm as he jogged past him. Jason nodded, following behind him and trying to focus on anything, but you. Of course you showed up, and didn’t even look mad, but excited.
Jason stared at the lines painted onto the ground, trying to push away the sudden anxiety looming in his stomach. He wanted to play well for you, he knew that much, but it was hard to think about anything else. Process the flow of the game while he knew you were watching. It wasn’t your fault, but Jason just couldn’t engage with you, not right now. He ignored both you and Roy the entire first half, not once sparing a glance in your direction, and opting to duck into the locker room when half time rolled through.
He normally would come chat, he knew Roy expected that much, but Jason just needed to play. To focus on rebounds and blocking and winning. It was simple, and with each second played he felt a bit easier. Like braving you once the break ended would be more bearable. But as Jason headed back onto the court, he was met with an empty seat. Roy was still there, looking rather unamused, but trying to push it down for Jason’s sake, while Jason stared helplessly.
You left, and he should have saw it coming, but it still hurt like hell. Jason played the second half well, mostly angry at himself for being an ass, and doing nothing to stop himself. Watching repeatedly from the outside as he fumbled every meaningful relationship if given the time. It made Jason sick, angry enough to be fouled out during the last few minutes, but his team won nonetheless.
The initial celebration seemed to pass in a haze, his teammates' voices flying over Jason’s head as he pushed his way through the crowd, wandering to where Roy sat with his arms crossed over his chest. “You played like a jackass near the end.” The redhead stated when Jason was in earshot.
“Playing how I feel I guess.” Jason shrugged, gaze flickering to the empty seat near to him.
Roy sighed, pushing himself up and slapping a hand on Jason’s shoulder. “At least you can admit. Now go be nice and shake hands and I’ll meet you at the afters, see if I can get your little crush to show up too.” Roy stated, making Jason chuckle as he nodded.
“Alright, and thanks man.”
“Anytime,” Roy grinned, letting Jason go before shouting, “Oh hey!”
He turned around as Roy held up his phone, “They asked for a play by play when they left, just so you know.” He said, a wide smile cracking over Jason’s face. You still cared, at least somewhat how he did, and maybe would show up (again) after all.
~
just know I never resented you, and I understand if you can't stand the sound or sight of my name.
Jason was in a sea of people, the usual spot for post game drinks overflowed, everyone in the celebrating mood it seemed. Jason tried to play along, and get lost in the fun, but was anxiously waiting for you and Roy. His gaze kept flitting to the door, half listening to conversations and participating even less. Jason ignored comments about how he played the last few minutes, sending tight smiles to the people who thought they had the right to joke about that stuff with him. They usually got the message after that, leaving him be until someone else decided to pull him into a conversation. The cycle was starting again as one of Jason’s captains called his name, but Roy’s hat flashed in Jason’s periphery and he didn’t even acknowledge the senior before turning towards the door.
“Outside.” Was all Roy said with a wink, patting Jason on the shoulder and slipping past him into the celebrations.
Jason wormed his way through the crowd, yanking open the front door and nearly colliding with you. You stepped back as Jason froze in the doorway.
“Uh Jay, I think people are tryna get by.” You said, nodding behind him. He glanced over his shoulder at the couple, and moved out of the way wordlessly as they dipped into the night. You slouched against the brick wall of the bar, and Jason headed towards you like a man compelled. He leaned into the wall, looking down at you as you sent him a smile. You were close, carrying the scent of smoke and that fucking perfume.
“Heard you fouled out.” You commented, making Jason chuckle.
“Yeah, a little too pissed to play nice.” He shrugged, toying with a string on his belt and pushing further into the wall, hoping the bricks would devour him.
“Is that how you normally play?”
“No, not unless I’m in my head.” You tensed at his reply, pulling your bottom lip between your teeth.
“Y’know we don’t have to talk about anything tonight, you should be celebrating anyway. We can play nice? For tonight?” You said after a moment, looking away from him while Jason continued to stare down at you.
“What?” He breathed.
“I just don’t think we need to focus on like, a drunk mistake right now. You guys won, let's just focus on that.” You shrugged, still looking towards the pavement while Jason’s jaw clenched.
Drunk mistake? Sure that was a way to describe it, but it was more than that. It was a revelation to the feelings Jason had been harboring, those same feelings he handled so poorly this last week and you wanted to forget it? Put it aside like you didn’t set Jason on fire from the inside out and were the one standing there with a fire extinguisher all at once. It wasn’t something he could just ignore anymore, not even for a few hours. It was why he had all, but abandoned you this week, more so than the embarrassment. And you chalked it up to a drunk mistake?
No.
He was silent for a while, long enough to beckon your gaze back to his as you turned to face him slightly. It appeared you weren’t getting out of this conversation tonight and neither was Jason.
Jason huffed, palms digging into his eyes before he said, “It wasn’t—that wasn’t me being drunk, okay—yeah I was, but it wasn’t a mistake in the way you’re thinking. I-I did that because I…like you. A lot, and have for a while.”
This silence seemed to stretch on longer than the one before—
“Oh.”
Jason laughed, he couldn’t help it, sarcasm dripping from his tone as he barked, “Well that’s always a great response.”
The coldness of his response snapped you out of whatever shock his confession put you in, “No, no I'm just surprised, sorry. And it’s not like I don’t like you too, but—“
“Oh that’s an even better one.” Jason muttered, and went to head back inside until your fingers shot out and grabbed his wrist. He stayed in place, but couldn’t turn to face you.
“Hey, stop being an ass, I asked you to play nice so listen. Jason, I do like you, I think you’re great actually, but this is a bit of a shock to me, and we still need to talk about how you treated me this last week. I need time to process all of this because I don’t wanna damage our relationship even more right now. But I still care about you a lot so just. Bear with me?” You said, breathless afterwards and thumb stroking against his wrist as Jason finally turned to face you.
“I can…work with that.” He said softly.
“Well I’m glad,” You shifted closer, squeezing his wrist before adding, “And hey maybe if you get a little too drunk tonight and make another mistake…it wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world.”
Jason immediately tipped himself into you, making you scream out a laugh while trying to push him off.
“Y’know now that you mention it, I'm feeling pretty drunk now.” He pretended to trip over his feet while your palms pressed into his chest.
“God you’re so annoying.” You grinned when Jason stopped, holding up his own weight while you slapped the back of your hand into his stomach. “Now let’s go get messed up, Roy’s driving so!”
“Oh say no more.” You slipped your hand into his, fingers interlocking as you led Jason back into the bar. You glanced back when his fingers tightened around yours. grinning brightly at him in the hazy lighting, a beacon of good and calmness Jason longed for. And while there was still uncertainty and time before Jason could truly relish in you, he would bear with you as you asked.

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ thinking about…
ex husband!zoro who’d do anything for you even without you having to ask.
ex husband!zoro who’d just finished his shift for the night constructing the block’s new set of apartment buildings. ironically, it was just a few away from your own.
ex husband!zoro who’d drive his pickup truck with sleep nearing on him no matter how many times you warned him to stop driving when he was exhausted. you even always offered to pick him up from his late shifts but he didn’t like you being outside alone after a certain time
ex husband!zoro who’d sigh in relief the moment he’d hit the hard rock of his air mattress. you two’d been separated for merely a year and he still didn’t find the urge to go out and buy real furniture. his air mattress was begging to be put down at this point.
ex husband!zoro who’d groan at the sound of his phone ringing. it was almost four in the morning, who the fuck would be calling him at this terrible time?
ex husband!zoro who’d squint his eyes down at the contact wondering who the fuck would be buzzing him at four in the morning. of course it had to be no one other than you.
ex husband!zoro who’d answer the ring and remain silent waiting to hear your excuse, you both knowing how much he valued his sleep, especially after a long day at work.
“heyyy, papa,” you’d giggle into the receiver. he instantly knew you were drunk because you always called him by your usual sweet names when you had liquor in your system. any other time, you’d refer to him as mosshead and asshole.
“it’s four in the morning, mama. this better be good,” zoro groaned lowly, rubbing his eyes. “you alright?”
you yawn. “i’m okay. just at a party right now. was wondering if you can pick me up. i was gonna take the train home but—“
“don’t,” zoro immediately sat up. god, his vision was nearly blurry from his lack of sleep, but he was always put you before anything. husband or not.
you frown and sway side to side, feeling the alcohol course your veins. “you sure, baby? i feel like i woke you.”
“of course you did,” zoro shook his head with a small smile on his face as he slipped on a random pair of pants from his laundry basket. “but what’s new. what’s your twenty?”
ex husband!zoro who’d grab the keys to his rusty old pickup truck you hated (but loved) so much and instantly make his way to you.
ex husband!zoro who’d pull up to find you sitting on a curb smoking a cigarette and looking up at the beautiful night sky
ex husband!zoro who’d get out his truck and stand before you with his hand out. you’d look over at him and have a shit eating grin on your face.
ex husband!zoro who’d pull you into a tight hug from not seeing you for nearly three weeks. you’d both been so busy working, even though you were separated, it was strange for you not to see each other for more than a week
ex husband!zoro who’d guide your drunk self to his truck and strap you in, to which you’d thank him with a casual peck to his lips
ex husband!zoro who’d blush fire red at your affection before kissing your forehead and heading back over to the driver’s seat
ex husband!zoro who’d kiss his teeth once he realized how far the party actually was from your house
“tch you always have to pick the far places, don’t you?” he shook his head at you.
you mirrored his actions and crossed your arms. “it looked fun.”
the mosshead rolled his eyes at your childish words. “i’m starting to think you like bothering me out my sleep to come get your drunk ass.”
“so what if i do,” the mutter of your words bring a smile to his face. “for better or worse, right?”
you’re surprised when his large hand grabs your own and rubs his callous thumb over the smooth of your skin. “it’s always for worse with you.”
“whatever. take me home.”
zoro knew that you meant his place. you always referred to it as home because it’s where he was. but to zoro, home was wherever you were.
ex husband!zoro who’d do anything for you without you even having to ask

Groaning annoyed when the key misses the keyhole, fumbling around with it for a few seconds, your bag slowly sliding off your shoulder, heaving it up again. Luckily your dear girlfriend heard your misery at the door and opened it for you. Greeting her with a soft smile you enter, handing her your bag to take your shoes off, before embracing her in a tight hug.
"What a hard day today, Neuvilette made me run across the whole city, Clorinde decided to have training in the afternoon and hit me pretty hard once and then I had to encounter some rude civils and calm their fight down. Hope your day was better." Your chin was softly resting on Furina's shoulder, who was softly rubbing your back listening to your every word. "My day was great mon chérie, how about we eat and then take a bath? I think you deserve that!" Taking your hand in her softly, Furina starts to pull you into the kitchen, presenting the food she made. Pasta with some sauce. It made you giggle, the person that was once a great archon was merely able to cook some pasta and sauce. "Thank you dear, I appreciate you cooking." Pressing a kiss to her temple as she hands you a plate, noticing the immediate red hue on her face. "Haha! O-Of course, what a girlfriend I'd be if I don't cook for you when you work!" Sitting down opposite each other at the table now, Furina tells you all about her day.
How she was practicing her newest script for a new movie currently, asking you to help her recite this weekend when you were off work that day. Or how she went to get some groceries and ran across this cute lost dog and helped bring it back to its owners. You loved listening to Furina ramble on about her day, it was one of the few times she didn't try to act so confident, she seemed so much like herself right now.
"Oh, and I heard Mondstadt would soon be celebrating an event called Windblume Festival and I would love to travel there! Would you be able to accompany me?" Looking up with hopeful and sparkling eyes, how could you say no to her like this? "I suppose I can ask for a few days off when that time comes around." Watching her smile grow as she claps her hands, ranting about how amazing that trip will be and that she is so excited to finally see Mondstadt. Having been to Liyue just recently over the Laterne Rite Festival.
After finishing dinner, Furina asks you to quickly clean the plates while she prepares a bath for the both of you, rushing out of the kitchen and up the stairs to the master bedroom which was connected to the big bathroom. Smiling to yourself at her enthusiasm, you pick up the plates and start to clean them at the sink, drying them afterward and putting everything back in its place. Since Furina hasn't called yet, you put the food in containers and away to be able to eat it later. Just as you close the door, Furina calls you from the bedroom.
Making your way up the stairs now after turning off the light, Furina is waiting in your bedroom for you, taking your hand and pulling you into the bathroom. The big light was off, and only a small lamp was on, casting warm light through the room, accompanied by some candles. The bath was steaming slightly, bubbles were covering the whole water along with some red rose petals. Fluffy towels were lying beside the bathtub ready to be used after the relaxing bath.
"Oh mon belle, you didn't have to do all this!" Hugging Furina's small waist now, your chin softly rests on her shoulder as you watch her. Her face was adorned by a red hue yet again, you always had this effect on her. Every little thing you did had her stammering and red in the face, it was truly adorable to see. "O-Oh I just wanted to make you relax even more! You work so hard!" She was trying to play it off again right now like she always does, making you chuckle. "Of course, aren't you such a good girl for me?" Whispering in her ear, before softly pressing a kiss to her neck, making her whole body shudder.
"Well! Let's get into the bath before it gets cold!" Shrugging off your jacket now, before unbuttoning your shirt, eyes going over to Furina every now and then, watching her hesitatingly get out of her clothes. While you had seen her a few times naked already and also been intimate, she always felt shy at first all over again. "You can get into the bath first, I'll keep my back to you, don't worry." Turning your head to the front again now, you know she is smiling at you right now and silently saying thank you. After getting rid of the rest of your clothes, you can hear the water splashing slightly before Furina announces you can join her now.
Turning to her, she looks at you for a split second, before avoiding your eyes again, pulling her legs to her chest. Climbing in behind her softly, you lean forward slightly, looking at her. "May I hug you?" Glancing at you from the corner of her eyes, she nods and you don't waste time laying your arms around her waist and pulling her close to yourself, your chest now pressed against her back. "So what have you planned for tomorrow? It's my day off, we could spend it together." Trying to help her calm down again, you simply started talking about tomorrow and slowly she noticeably started to relax. "We could maybe go shopping and get cake? We haven't done that in a long time! And maybe we can watch a movie in the evening!" Furina was resting her head on your shoulder right now, her fingers softly playing with yours. It was a habit of hers she picked up quite at the start of your relationship, it helped her relax. "Sure, whatever you desire mon chérie." Pressing a soft kiss to her cheek, she softly giggles, it was so adorable how she always seemed to get butterflies in her stomach all over with you, but it wasn't different for you. Being with her was the best decision you ever had made, she was an angel, she helped you so much and showed how much she too loved you.
"I love you so much, you know that right? Thank you so much for this today." Nuzzling your face into the crook of her neck now, inhaling her scent. She always smelled a bit like the sea, yet something sweet accompanied that scent, probably from all the sweets she eats all day. "I love you too! I'm glad you enjoyed this, I tried my best to help you relax.." Furina always tended to feel rather insecure, you guessed it was bound to be like this after everything that had happened to her, so you always tried your best to reassure her. "You did amazing, being good for me like always~" Pressing a kiss to her neck where your face was resting, you could feel her shiver again, tensing up slightly.
"Is it okay if I touch you?" Whispering in her ear now, your hand softly caressing the back of her hand that was holding yours. She wanted to mention how you were touching her already, but one glance at your face showed her what exactly you meant. Nodding softly, she averted her head to the side, only to have it pushed back softly to look into your eyes. "You know I want you to use your words, darling." Your voice sounded soft, yet firm, Furina knew you were keen on her voicing her consent and wants to you. "You may touch me.. please touch me.." Looking into your eyes pleadingly now, waiting for you to make a move. Smiling at her pleased, your lips find hers in a soft kiss. For now, your hands are softly gliding over her sides, making her shudder from the soft almost ticklish touch. Her lips were moving against yours softly and a bit shy at first, but the longer the kiss went on, the more brave she became. Opening her mouth slightly as an invitation for you, which you did not hesitate to accept.
Your hands slowly glided over her body and inched further up, cupping her breasts softly, which caused Furina to let out a soft gasp against your lips. Giving her chest a soft squeeze for now, your lips start to trail over her chin, to her jaw, and down the side of her neck, before stopping at her shoulder. Furina was leaning her head against your shoulder yet again, her slightly lulled to the side to give you better access, her eyes blissfully closed and mouth slightly agape. Teasingly your fingers softly glide over her sensitive nipples, which were already rather firm. A soft whimper escaped her mouth, before she pressed her lips together tightly, which made you annoyed. Nipping at her shoulder now, your eyes were watching her. "Open that pretty mouth of yours again, you know I want to hear your every sound mon amour." Your right hand was holding her chin now, as two of your fingers softly parted her lips again, before pressing against her tongue. The other was still busy with her breast, opting for rubbing it softly in circles and teasingly tugging on it. Furina was by now panting, her eyes squeezed shut with every one of your touches. Your mouth finds the juncture of her neck again, softly nipping at the flesh, before sucking on it, till a red spot was showing, proud of your work, you plant a soft kiss against the spot to soothe the possible sting.
Furina was so gorgeous and she sometimes doesn't even realize it, how her head was lulled back against your shoulder right now, mouth agape with your two fingers in her mouth, he eyes shut but no doubt rolling to the back as you were teasing her right now. Her face is completely flush with a bright blush, this close you could even see the few freckles adorning her cheeks, barely able to notice from slightly further away.
"You're always such a good girl for me~ You like me praising you, don't you sweets?" Purring those words into her ears, while your fingers teasingly tugged on her nipple, the other fingers out of her mouth and resting on her cheek now so she could speak. "Y-Yes.. Always a g-good girl for you!" Her body was trembling from the pleasure she was receiving, yet not enough pleasure to be anywhere close to a release, she was desperate for more. "Look at you, so obedient like always~" Trailing kisses up her neck again, and your lips find hers, she's softly gasping and moaning into the kiss.
Your left hand was still busy teasing her nipple, which by now was firm, fingers switching to her right nipple now which was rather abandoned till now. Arm hugging her waist halfway, making you able to pull her flush against you. Meanwhile, your right hand was slowly wandering down her body, from her collarbone, over her waist, and down to her thighs, giving her right thigh a soft squeeze, making her moan into the kiss softly. Lips not once leaving hers.
Fingers inching closer to her heat now before you teasingly skip over her heat and softly let your fingers dance over her left thigh now under the surface of the water.
"P-Please touch me.. Please.." Furina's words came out stuttering from how desperate she was for your touch, but she knew that asking for you to touch her would always work. And so you did to her request. Fingers softly swiping through her slick once, which already made her throw her head back with a loud moan, arching her back slightly, but being pressed against you again quickly by your arm. Opting to kiss her neck and shoulder again, leaving some marks here and there, to hear her beautiful voice and the sounds she makes. The touch of your fingers was teasingly, barely swiping through her slit for now, wanting to make her even more desperate, so she can come undone in bliss. Now after you deemed you had teased her enough, your middled finger prodded at her entrance softly, before sliding in for now. Furina's moans were echoing off of the marble walls of the bathroom. The bubbles in the bath were slowly disappearing from how long you two had been in here, the water still warm enough to not be uncomfortable but a noticeable difference from when you two got in and most of the candles had burned down quite a lot, some even burned out.
Her head was resting on your shoulder, her mouth wide agape and panting heavily, Furina was always so reactive to your every touch. Your finger was slowly pumping in and out of her heat, making sure to give her enough time before adding your pointer finger inside of her too, her body shuddering in your embrace. "You're doing so good for me pretty girl, look at you taking my finger so well as if you were made for me~" Feeling her walls clamp down around your fingers, you couldn't help but smirk, Furina loved it when you praised her, it was something she showed in you daily life as well as in the bedroom.
Angling your fingers inside of her slightly upwards, her eyes go wide as her mouth hangs open, and loud moans escape her. Having found her sweet spot, you continue to softly hit that exact spot, while your other hand slowly travels down and finds her clit almost instantly. Pointer finger softly rubbing over the nub, before moving in slow circling motions. Furina was writhing against you, moaning over and over again, face flush. From the way her walls were clamping down on your fingers, you assumed she was close. "Come for me mon amour, I know you're close, be a good girl~" Those words were what brought her over the edge, her orgasm overcoming her body as she came on your fingers, her slick covering them as her back arches up while your fingers slow down to a soft pace to help her ride out her orgasm. Pulling your fingers from her, hands softly caressing her thighs and then her stomach and sides. Furina's breathing was hard, pants leaving her soft pink lips. Her eyes were closed, and her mouth was still agape as her body slowly calmed down from her ecstasy.
"You did so well my dear, I'm so proud of you~" Kissing her cheeks softly, nuzzling your nose against her afterward. The bath finished quickly now, as the water was almost cold by now, you helped Furina wash up, before exiting the bath first, wrapping yourself in a towel, before helping your girlfriend put and wrapping her in another towel. Sitting her down on the edge of the tub, you quickly dry yourself before putting on a loose shirt and some panties, turning to Furina now and helping her dry herself. She was still a bit wobbly on her feet from her orgasm, so you helped her before dressing her in one of your shirts.
Picking her up now, after drying both of your hair and carrying her to your shared bedroom, placing her on your bed softly. "Do you need anything? A glass of water?" Furina nods at you, watching you leave the bedroom to get a glass of fresh water from the kitchen. An uncomfortable feeling was nagging at her, she wanted to help you relax and in the end, it was you who made her feel good and pleasured her. Of course, you noticed something was worrying her as you handed her the glass, sitting down beside her on your side of the bed now. "What's worrying you darling hm? You seem out of it now, did you not like it?" Shaking her head immediately now. "No, I loved it! You always make me feel amazing it's just.. I wanted to make you relax and now in the end it was you to pleasure me.." Her eyes were avoiding yours, sighing softly, you scoot over to her, taking her into your arms. She was worrying her pretty head over such things? Besides the night is still long. "Oh mon chérie, don't worry so much, I find pleasure in pleasing you, besides the night is still long, if you want to do something you still have a lot of time~" Her cheeks were blazing red again by the implications of your words. But you were right, even if you pleased her first, she could still please you and make you relax. Putting the glass she was holding to the side now, she turned her body in your embrace so she would be facing you.
"Can you please lay down?" You did notice how nervous she was to ask you, yet you followed her request and lay down, resting your back against the many pillows. Furina hesitated for a second, before climbing on top of you now, sitting herself down on your hip. "Can I take your shirt off?" It was so sweet how she also asked for everything, just like you always did. Nodding your head, you raise your upper body slightly to make it easier for her to pull the garment off and discard it to the floor. Eye gaze over your body for a second, before she leans down, her fingers softly tracing over your mounds, before finding purchase on your nipples. Her mouth engulfs your nipple softly, sucking on it a bit and running her tongue over it, meanwhile, her eyes were watching your expressions the whole time. Proud of how your cheeks were painted in a soft rose hue already, eyes half-lidded and mouth softly panting. Furina continued her teasing for a while, switching to take the other nipple in her mouth now while letting her fingers play with the other one. They were firm by now and your panties must've been soaking by now too.
A soft kiss was planted on your lips, before Furina softly kissed her way down your body, over the stomach before lifting your leg a bit to kiss your inner thigh, all the while her eyes were on you watching. She knew her own cheeks were probably much redder than yours, but that didn't bother her. Your own hands softly find the end of her shirt and softly tug on it, making the woman pull it over her head. Your eyes ravage over her body, being able to look at her from the front now, hands softly holding her waist now. "My gorgeous doll~" Looking at you flustered for a second, she quickly regained her composure and hooked her fingers in the waistband of your panties. Eyes looking for your approval and with a nod from you, she pulls them down your legs and throws them off of the bed.
Furina's eyes glide over your heat for a second, before letting her finger run through your slick for a second. Putting the finger in her mouth, while keeping eye contact with you, which made you smirk. One thing she knew how to do, was how to rile you up.
Laying herself down between your thighs now, her head softly resting against your thigh now, leaving a few light red marks, while her finger softly starts gliding through your slick, pushing her middle finger in now and then, before pulling out again to make them circle your clit again. This was going on for a while. Eyes closed, as your hands were bunching the blanket in your fists and your breathing was hard by now. Opening your eyes again when you felt her breath on your heat, seeing Furina's face a mere inch away from where you needed her. Locking eyes with her, her tongue darts out and gives your heat a teasing lick, which already makes you throw your head back with a moan. Your hand softly finds purchase in her white and blue locks, as your other fingers find her own, softly linking your fingers with her own.
Her tongue licks another stripe up your heat, her face flush from the act right now. Her arm that was not holding your hand, was around your right tight, holding you in place. Tongue starting to lick at a slow speed now, sometimes grazing your throbbing clit, moans were escaping your lips every now and then. Back arching of the bed sometimes when she hits a particularly good spot. Her tongue was slightly teasing your entrance, before entering slightly, moving the tip against your walls softly before pulling out again and licking up to your clip. Her lips engulfed your clit entirely, switching between sucking and licking. Your moans were echoing off of the walls, squeezing her hand softly as you were nearing your orgasm. "I'm close darling, keep the good work up, make mommy come~" Furina was watching you, as her pace on your clit fastens, your back arching off of the bed as you come undone on her tongue, her eyes heart-shaped as she watches you proudly. Licking up the mess she made, before leaning up to you and planting a soft kiss on your lips.
"You did so well baby, so good for me~" Caressing her cheek softly, as she nuzzles into the palm of your hand. "Let's get cleaned and then cuddle." And so you two did, you quickly cleaned yourself, while Furina switched the sheets before cleaning her fave quickly.
Laying down on your side, only panties back on, Furina lays down with her head on your chest now, content and happy with how this evening went. "Hope I wasn't too rough with my marks, they're pretty dark." Furina just shakes her head, assuring you that they don't hurt, before letting out a yawn, her eyes slowly falling shut. Giving her one last kiss, before turning the lights off and cuddling up to your girlfriend. She was an angel and you could not wish for someone else truly.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was Spider’s 22nd birthday and the two of you celebrated amongst your friends which you have been planning for a while now as a secret wanting to surprise Spider and catch him off guard.
The two of you partied it up more than anyone else there. You played games, grinded on each other, and drank more than the rest which they had to lead you guys home. You loved seeing the smile on his face, his expression kept playing over and over in your head when you first removed the blindfold from his eyes and everyone yelled ‘surprise’.
He was so happy since he thought everyone forgot his birthday, you had him think that so as not to give away any hints of the surprise party. Now that his special day is ending, you tell him to close his eyes for the final surprise you had for him, slurring over your words a bit. “No peeking!” you chastised him after catching one of his eyes slightly opened and he slightly chuckled, closing his eyes completely.
You squeal in excitement as you undress yourself from your loincloth and feather top. You planned this good, it was one of the reasons you spent so much time at work between planning the party and sowing a new piece that you knew he was going to love.
Once you were done putting them on, you stood right before him, smiling very hard, a bit nervous about what he might think. “You can open your eyes now,” you exclaimed as you watched Spider open his eyes, looking you up and down with a shocked expression. “Do you like it?”
“Damn ma, if I knew that this was going to happen, I’d have left the party a long time ago!” Spider smirked as his eyes traveled down your body as he noticed how the bra accentuated your breasts to the way your panty hugged all your curves. He was drooling at the sight. “You look so sexy, only f’me,” he whispered, closing the distance between the two of you.
“Only for you,” you repeated back as you leaned forward, smashing your lips on his, you opened your mouth slightly giving him total access to slide his tongue in, and his hands travels down the side of your body til they meet the swell of your ass, rubbing it a bit before squeezing it tight eliciting a moan from you as he deepened the kiss.
Spider is the first to pull away as you both catch your breath, he pulls down your bra enough to release your breasts, cups your breast, kneads it softly, and rolls your nipples with his thumbs. Small moans come out of your mouth as your hands untie his loincloth making it drop to the floor and his cock springs up and hits against his abdomen, precum coming out of the slit, leaking down his shaft.
“You want him so bad, don’t you?” Spider questioned as he brought his hand down to rub against the fabric to test the waters and as he expected, it was drenched with your slick. “Yes, you know I do.”
Spider walks over to your desk, clearing it with just a swipe of his hand, papers, pens, and pencils flying to the ground. “You gotta stop doing that,” you chastised him and he let out a laugh. “Don’t worry, I’ll clean it up after,” he slurred over his words as he brings you over to the desk, bending you over, your breasts laid on the desk while your back arched with your ass in the air exactly where he wants it.
Spider pulls your panty to the side, your bare pussy on display for him, admiring how soaked it is just from making out and playing with your breasts a bit. He runs his finger between your folds before sticking a finger in your hole, slowly thrusting in and out as your cunt clenched around his finger.
“Mmm fuck…” you cursed under your breath, he removed his finger and replaced it with his tongue, slurping up your sweet juices. “Spider… stop with the teasing…” you whined earning a deep chuckle from him.
Spider straightens himself, rubbing his cock between your folds, letting your slick cover it before he lines up to your entrance, pushing it inch by inch till he bottoms out, grunting as he does.
“Baby, y’so wet that I slid right in,” he groaned as you waited for him to move, so eager for him to blow your back out. He gives you slow sloppy strokes for a few before increasing the tempo.
The sounds of skin slapping, your moans, and the desk hitting against the wall filled the air of the lab. You were so glad that it was only the two of you here, it kinda did excite you a bit of getting caught.
The more he pumped in and out of you, the more you drenched his cock with your juices. “Shit…” you let out a pornographic moan as he relentlessly slammed in and out of you.
“Y’feel s’good, baby,” Spider groans as he slaps your ass causing you to yelp, bringing your hand to place over the stinging area but he grabs a hold of it and places it on your lower back using it as leverage as he continues to fuck you into the desk.
“Y’fuckin me so good,” you cried out as you felt your high build-up. Spider knew you were close just based on you starting clenching him even tighter, he knew he was close as well and he couldn’t help but imagine filling you up with his cum.
You would look s’pretty if he got you pregnant, s’round as you waddled around the clan showing everyone just how much you were his made him so excited that it drove him crazy.
“Baby, I’m coming,” you moaned as your legs began to flutter around his cock, squirting all over his length, your juices dripping to the floor. “Mmm.. fuck…” you tried catching your breath as Spider sped up his pace as you were coming down from your high.
“Don’t you think you’ll look s’good with my baby in you?” Spider questioned as he continued at his torture, loving the sweet sounds of your moans. “I think you’d look s’pretty,” he continued and you smiled at the thought as you felt his dick twitch inside you. “Please fill me up with your cum, no drop wasted.”
A smirk formed on his face when he heard you speak those words and there was no going back as he pumped into you one more time, releasing his load deep inside you before pulling out, watching as some of his come trickled out of you and he scoops it up and pushes it back inside you, you gasp at the feeling.
“I know baby, I’m done, let’s get you cleaned up then you can rest, okay?” he quired and in response, all you could manage was an ‘mmm’ and he chuckled. The two of you couldn’t wait to see what the future held for you, y’all were ready for just about anything.

lo’ak accidentally calling the reader “bro” or something making her feel like she’s been friendzoned and him having to clumsily comfort her and confess his feelings :(
More Than Friends ✽ Lo’ak Sully
a/n: this idea is too cute i started writing it immediately 💗
wc: 2.1k
pairing: lo’ak x fem! na’vi reader
contains: flufff, a lil kith, lo’ak being the cutie he is
warnings: none!
Tumblr media
You woke up this morning more than elated, your body out of your hammock before your eyes were even open. Nearly jumping for joy upon realizing today was the day you’d been waiting for. Lo’ak had been away with his father and older brother for almost three days now, something about a mandatory hunting trip he had no way to get out of. This had officially been the longest you’d been apart, and you missed him terribly— his stupid corny jokes and overly energetic demeanor that constantly got him into trouble. You couldn’t help but hope he missed you too.
Spending the days together became you and the younger sully’s routine, the both of you promising that even if you were busy you would dedicate at least an hour out of your days to see each other. You would spend that hour tucked away in a tall tree away from looking eyes, shoulders pressed close to each other while you watched the sun set, the one branch that held the both of you serving as an excuse for your rapidly beating heart. You blamed the flushing of your cheeks on adrenaline.
The entire village knew of your friendship, at least that’s what the two of you referred to it as. Everyone was fully convinced that you would become each other’s mates in due time, with the way your hugs would linger for a little too long upon seeing the other after only a few hours apart, or how you would try and skip out on your chores deemed by the elders just to spend ten extra minutes with him.
The squawking of ikrans in the distance has your feet carrying you out of your tent before you had a say in it. You eased your way through the village and peered your head around once you came into the crowd, eyes locking on the lanky, striped body of a familiar na’vi, one who just so happened to be your favorite.
You slipped through the huddle of people blocking your path while repeatedly excusing yourself, not being able to control your excitement as you neared closer, Lo’ak’s back facing you and his hands focused on removing his Ikran’s saddle.
“Lo’ak!” You squealed in excitement and ran the rest of the way to him, throwing your arms around his middle and pressing your cheek against his skin.
“Jesus Christ-“ He lurched forward slightly, eyes widening and his head quickly swishing back and forth over his shoulders to figure out who had a vice grip on his body. He peered down at your dainty hands clasped together against his abdomen, smiling and softly laughing to himself at the realization of who it was. “Hi, Y/n,” He gently tugged at your arms to loosen your grasp, turning around with a small smile before wrapping his around your waist in return.
You stood on your toes, repositioning your slender arms around his neck and pulling him as close as possible, into a tight hug. “I’m so glad you’re safe, Lo. Please don’t leave for that long again.”
He nuzzled his face into your hair, taking a deep inhale of your scent and sighing in relief. You were exactly what he was looking forward to coming home to. “I missed you too.” He murmured, loud enough so you could hear. He rolled his eyes when Neteyam faked an obnoxious gagging noise behind him.
You pulled away from him, eyes peeking around his body to see Jake approaching. You composed yourself and gently tapped Lo’ak’s wrists, him catching the hint and snatching his hands away.
“Olo’eyktan Jake,” You brought two fingers up to your forehead with a slight bow of your head, bringing them down and watching him return the greeting.
“Y/n,” He smiled. “I see you’ve found my son. Thank God, I was getting tired of listening to him blab on and on-“
“Dad.” Lo’ak hissed through clenched teeth, widening his eyes as a silent plea for him to stop talking. Jake cleared his throat and looked between the two of you, his son’s face growing hotter when you used a hand to stifle your snickering.
The tall Sully next to you used his head to motion away from the landing pointe and towards the trees, wordlessly asking for permission to break away from the crowd.
Jake sighed but nodded in agreement, cutting his son a little bit of slack since he worked so hard over the past three days. “Hey,” he started, looking at Lo’ak with a tilted stare. “Make good choices.”
Your arm was already extended out as the boy dragged you away by your hand, his eyes rolling at his dad’s unrequested advice. “Yeah, says the man who had four kids in like two years.” He snorted.
“Don’t think I ain’t hear that, boy!”
~~
During the trek through the forest and up to the familiar cliffside the two of you liked to hang at from time to time, Lo’ak held your hand in his. It was so normal for the two of you now that he hadn’t paid any mind to the way your admiring eyes barely left his face the whole way there.
The two of you settled on resting against the thick trunk of a large tree, laughter filling the air while he told an over exaggerated story of his battle with a sturmbeest. He had turned towards you with criss-crossed legs at this point, you following suit to give him your full attention.
“So, there I was, face to face with this big ass wannabe rhino. I’m standing there, right? Then it charges at me. You think I’d be scared for my life, any sane person would run.” He elaborated excitedly, eyes looking into yours and hands cutting through the air with gestures he assumed would give you a better understanding of the scene you were picturing in your head.
“Right,” You smiled, letting him know you were following along.
“Wrong, that’s a bitch move. I grabbed my bow so fast, it didn’t even have time to react. I don’t even know where the others were,” He shrugged and let out a cocky huff, hyping himself up while he proceeded. “I took out an arrow, pulled it back and looked that thing right in it’s eyes, then wham! Instant kill-shot!” He used his fist to punch the palm of his other hand and succeeded in creating the sound his mouth had, making you jump at the gust of air it sent towards your face. “And that, my dear friend, is how I got us all dinner, thirty minutes into the first day. Can you believe that?” He beamed, eager to hear your praise.
You dropped your head down and laughed at his story telling, looking back up at him to quickly nod in approval. “Good job, Lo’ak. That’s amazing! I knew you could catch one, you just always doubt yourself.” You playfully jabbed a finger at his shoulder with a grin.
His eyes fell away from yours and he shrugged sheepishly, cheekbones high on his face from the genuine smile they formed. Your heart swooned while you watched his demeanor become shy due to your response. Lo’ak craved your approval more than anyone’s, your encouraging words enough to reinstill confidence in him whenever he lost it, or turn his bad day into a good one. You took a deep, yet quiet breath, something telling you this moment would lead to the one you’d been waiting to have with him— until he spoke up again.
“See,” He leaned back onto his hands, shaking his head and peering up at the sky above the both of you. “This is exactly why I missed you, bro.”
You blinked, confusion settling in to replace the fuzzy feeling that you were previously relishing in. Had you been reading his behavior these past few weeks completely wrong? Here you were, about to confess your feelings to him only three days ago, just to find out he thinks of you as nothing more than a friend. His ‘bro’.
He tore his attention away from the clouds when an unusually long silence replaced the lively conversation, eyebrows knitting together with concern at your downcast gaze into the grass, fingers idly picking at the green blades with envy.
“What’s wrong?” He asked, head tilted and the two braids he usually left out in the front following suit.
You dared not look up at him, you already hated how sensitive you were and looking into his eyes right now would only make things worse. “It’s nothing, Lo’ak.” You mumbled.
“I’m your bestfriend, Y/n. I know when you’re lying to me, it’s definitely something.” He chuckled dryly, it being more of a scoff than a laugh.
That right there. That godforsaken word. ‘Bestfriend’, what you were starting to believe was all you’d ever be to him.
“I know, we’re bestfriends, Lo’ak. I just thought that, y’know, with the way things have been with us in the last few weeks, that we both kinda…” You swallowed the lump in your throat as you tried to find the right words, exhaling frustratedly at your lack of direction and using a hand to hastily wave off the topic. “Nevermind, forget it. It’s stupid.” Your voice was almost a whisper, his gaze boring into the top of your head and it felt like your body was locked in place.
“Shit,” His eyes softened immediately once he came to the realization, causing him to sit up straight at attention. “Wait, wait, wait, I fucked up.” He vigorously shook his head, a hand reaching to the back of his neck to nervously rub it. “I didn’t mean bro, like bro, y’know? I’m just so comfortable around you that, it kinda slipped out… l-like Neteyam! I talk to him a lot so I call him bro. But you’re not Neteyam, obviously, because I think you’re really pretty. I mean duh, how could I not. And it’s a different ‘bro’ cause Neteyam’s my brother, and you’re…” He gulped, eyes darting around as he tried to make sense of what he was even saying.
“Lo’ak-“
He continued, so panicked to explain himself that he hadn’t heard you say his name. “I called you bro but I don’t love you like a ‘bro’, don’t get me wrong like I definitely do love you but it’s more like-“
You bit your lip and tried to contain your smile from making your cheeks burst, the both of you switching places with him now avoiding looking at your face and you watching him clumsily attempt to piece his feelings together. “Lo’ak!” You spoke a little louder this time, reaching forward to grab his slightly clammy four-fingered hand and giggling when his wide eyes landed on yours. “Breathe.”
“Can I kiss you?” He blurted out, his surprised expression that came after making it look like he didn’t have control over what he was saying, as if he had asked the question in a hurry in fear his courage would run dry— lips parted while airy breaths slipped through from his prior rambling. He was suddenly closer and your breath caught in your throat, his gaze so strong that when your eyes fell to his lips he took it as a yes and closed the gap separating you from him. You were glad he knew you well enough to read your mind, seeing as you were too flustered by his outburst to answer verbally.
You nearly stumbled back from the force he kissed you with, your hands coming up to cup his cheeks and pull him closer into you, returning his efforts with a heavy sigh. His lips were soft and inviting, you wondered why the both of you had waited so long when it was clear how badly each other wanted it this whole time.
His arm circled your waist and dragged your body closer to his, the other propping him up while he leaned over you. You trailed a hand down from his face to hold the back of his neck, quickly taking in a breath of air when he parted for the same reason.
“So,” You breathed out, licking your already wet lips; he never took his eyes from them as if he were in a trance. “Love, huh?” You teased.
“Shut up.” He smirked, wasting no time before crashing his lips against yours once more.

Happy Fathers Day — Miguel O’Hara
Tumblr media
Note: This gif is sad yes but this fic is not i promise :) a little Father’s Day fic for this father who needs all that family love. First time writing for him, I hope he’s not ooc. I had to rush it a bit so I’m sorry if it seems sloppy towards the end <3
Not proofread
Summary: You and your daughter appreciate the man in your lives.
Word bank:
querido(a) - sweetheart
cariño - darling
mi vida - my life
qué es eso - what is that?
Mi corazón - my heart
Tumblr media
“Gabi, mama.. qué es eso?” You held back a laugh as you looked at the drawing she made with strawberry syrup on a pancake.
Gabriella looked back at you with a toothy smile. “Es Papi! This is his hair,” she pointed to a.. slicked back.. spiky top of a too round head, “This is his eyes!” The eyes were brown and looked like little dots.
You nodded your head and hummed. “Es bonita, querida.”
“Gracias, Mami!” She looked at you with admiration and glee.
It was Father’s Day and about eight in the morning. You decided to get your daughter and make some breakfast for your husband, Miguel. You made him take off so you could celebrate the day together.
You had a lot of things in mind of doing today but you knew you’d have to tone it down a bit being that your husband wasn’t a very outgoing and extroverted person. He tended to drift towards the peace and quiet of solitude. Though, you didn’t mind that. You fit together perfectly in your own little way.
For now, the first thing you and your daughter had to do was bring him breakfast in bed. Pancakes, waffles (for your princesa), eggs, sausages, and you cut up fruits like apples, kiwi, mangoes, and watermelon on the side being that it was a hot day.
You made fresh lemonade and had the pitcher inside the fridge so it could get nice and cold. Gabriella insisted on making art on at least one pancake for her daddy so you let her make a little mess.
“Bebe, get the tray from the dining table and bring it here, please?” You asked your daughter. putting the knife you were using in the sink and washing your hands.
Gabriella ran off to fetch the tray for the breakfast items as you grabbed a cup of lemonade and napkins.
“Aqui mami!” Gabriella handed you the tray and you kissed her forehead in thanks.
She helped you place the plates onto it and held the cold glass of lemonade for you. Her face was lit up like a beacon. Her beautiful smile on display, ready to surprise her overworked father who desperately needed all of this affection this morning.
You made your way up the stairs, starting to hear the snores of your husband from your bedroom. You and your daughter tip toed into the room slowly, trying not to wake your husband up just yet.
Gabi sat on your side of the body and you sat by Miguel’s sleeping form that was curled up in the comforter. You sat the glass of Lemonade onto the night stand, followed along by the tray.
Moving to adjust yourself, you leaned forward to kiss Miguel’s Hairline. “Wake up, mi corazón.” You whispered into his ear.
He made some type of noise and tried to pull you into him. You pulled back and shook his body.
“Wake up, querido.”
He still didn’t wake up. This man slept like a rock on his off days and it always took a couple of minutes to wake him up by yourself.
You gave a look to Gabriella and she took the hint you were giving her.
“PAPI PAPI!!” She started to jump up and down on your bed, shaking the two of you that were sitting down.
She giggled and screeched as she saw her father stir a bit more and try to grab her. She jumped around his grabby hands and then fell on top of him.
His eyes opened and he grunted at the impact. “Jesus, mama. Why do you have so much energy in the morning?”
“Bueno Dias, papi!” She giggled, curling herself into his chest and hugging him tight.
“Buenos dias, Gabriella.” He kissed her hair and then turned to you.
You smiled at him, reaching for his free hand and holding it tightly. You two just stared at each other for a bit, basking in the nice quiet of the bedroom.
You leaned down and kissed his hairline again uttering a good morning. He pulled you down and kissed you on your lips saying it back.
You pulled back after having a chaste kiss. The food on the nightstand was still nice and warm. You grabbed the tray and held it in front of you which caused the man to sit up.
“We made you breakfast. Gabriella drew you on a pancake, our princesa also drew you a card.” You placed the tray onto his lap and Gabriella shoved her card into his hands.
He looked at the.. drawing of him (it looked nothing like him and more like a blob of syrup) and gave you a look to which you waved off. He then read his card and smiled.
“I’m really lucky to have you aren’t I, Gabriella? Our daughter is so creative, cariño.” He scooped your daughter up and attacked her with tickles and kisses.
She squealed telling him to stop and after a bit he put her back down and started to eat the food you made.
He moaned at the taste and started to gobble the entire plate up. “Miguel! Don’t eat like that, you’ll choke. Here.” You handed him the glass of lemonade you made and watched him chug it too.
He placed it back on the night stand and wiped his mouth.
“This is delicious, querida..” he grabbed your left hand and kissed your silver ring on your finger. You smiled and sighed dreamily at his actions.
“You’re an amazing husband and father, mi amor. You’re everything I’ve wished to have had, I’m glad to have married you and being an amazing and beautiful girl into this world. I know you’ll do right, and I know you think you may be doing a bad job but there are no rules to raising a child..” you paused to wipe a start tear from his face, his mouth was left agape at your words, “you’ll know— we’ll know we did right if she grows up and doesn’t put us in a retirement home.”
He chuckled at that and Gabriella giggled. They were an exact replica of each other.
Miguel’s hand made it’s way to the nape of your neck, tangling themselves in your locs that sat on your shoulders. His free hand moved the locs that covered your forehead and he placed his on top of yours.
“Happy Father’s Day, dad!”
“Happy Father’s Day, my vida.”
Tumblr media
I I had to disrespect somebody and their father while writing this 😒 but HAPPY FATHERS DAY YAAAAHHH 🤘

ni-ki x reader , in which ni-ki realizes that he misses you only after rejecting you , fluff , angst kind of ( note: grr i love grentperez so much , also the song isn't really relevant to the story lmaoo i just thought it was nice )
Tumblr media
“I hate the silence now that you’re not here”
Ni-ki sighed after slowly remembering every detail about a certain memory that had been stuck in his head for a week now. He didn’t even think about facing the consequences of rejecting you, he even thought this was just another silly joke of yours. He basically just lost his best friend, like that, he thought. He even hated the fact that he laughed at you, and not possibly imagining the pain he caused you.
But, it was saturday, the day you’d both spend time with each other just being dumb teenagers and playing video games all day. But, this thought did not even cross your mind, in fact, you were crawled up in bed, also thinking about you possibly losing your friendship with Ni-ki.
You were silently sobbing to yourself not until you heard the doorbell ring from outside, and suddenly you remembered it was the special time of the week. You didn’t know how to approach Ni-ki after all those tears and thoughts — Heck, did he even think about how you felt considering how unserious he is at times?
“Am I livin’ in the past with all these questions, never asked?”
The doorbell rang once again, you composed yourself and tried to act usual despite the heavy pain in you.
As the door opened, Ni-ki wasn’t happy with what he saw, he could see through you, he is your best friend after all. You stepped aside to welcome him and gave him a soft smile. “Hey, y/n, so uh— I didn’t know what game to bring so I brought your favorite,” He smiled at you.
“Okay, sure,”
“To the spell we both cast, but sometimes, magic doesn’t last,”
You both couldn’t focus and you both definitely felt the thick atmosphere of awkwardness and silence around you, and this made Ni-ki feel very awful knowing that he made his one and only love and best friend lonely. So, he paused the game and turned towards you. You could feel his gaze at you so you turned to him too, confused.
“Look, y/n,” You had a feeling this had something to do with your confession, and you didn’t want to talk about it. “Ni-ki, if it’s about.. that, then, no, it’s alright. I’ve already accepted it, but, we’re still friends, right?” You chuckled.
"Y/n, that's not it. I– I do like you. I really really do." He said shyly, a blush forming on his cheeks. You stared at him with a blank expression, while he thought you hated him now for the sudden confession.
"Okay, look, I'm sorry I made you sad but–" His words were cut off when you placed a soft kiss on his cheek followed by a tight hug.
"Why do I fade into that heart of yours? 'Cause you still hold a spot in mine,"
Ni-ki was surprised by your sudden action, but soon returned the hug. "Thank you y/n, I love you way too much that I can't even stand seeing you so sad because it broke my heart when I did. I love you."
