all of lewis’ track limit violations were in the first 15mins of the race. 😫 which means he stopped as soon as bono alerted him to it for the first time around the 15min mark but in reality he had already collected all 6 violations by then??

it makes so much more sense now why he would’ve been frustrated! he had already corrected his driving but bono continues to tell him about track limits as they came through delayed from the stewards. bono only tells him about the 2nd violation well after the 15min mark when according to the FIA document he already had 6.

tbh as a writer of my own original works with the second novel currently in the making, the treatment that original lore receives in Hollywood sickens me. it’s perfectly clear that novels cannot be adapted 1:1 - but the level of disrespect, that audacity to butcher characters and dismiss essential plot points . . . I understand any novelist who won’t sell to Hollywood anymore.

So a lot of political scandals just dropped in the last 24 hours

-NC Governor Candidate Mark Robinson's online posts were found, including some VERY graphic descriptions (like seriously, do not read if you're not 18) of him cheating on his wife, calling himself a black Nazi, and expressing support for reinstituting slavery. His email address was also found on Ashley Madison

-Robert F Kennedy Jr was revealed to be cheating on his wife with a reporter (and that isn't even the weirdest thing since federal law enforcement opened an investigation into him allegedly cutting off the head of a whale and taking it home with him less than 24 hours ago)

-GOP Senate candidate who is the CEO of a bank has been found accepting millions of dollars from what seem to allegedly be Mexican drug cartels.

-Finally, probably the biggest bombshell, according to multiple eyewitness testimonies within sealed sworn affadavits, Congressman Matt Gaetz allegedly invited a 17-year-old girl to a drug-fueld sex party

And we haven't even hit October, folks. Again, these are all still breaking news stories, so things are subject to change, but oh man oh man.

more venting about the fucking situation

my roommate is steadily developing paranoia about leaving the house. Despite the fact that her wife is staying with a friend who's about 45 minutes away, and has no way of knowing when or if we're leaving the house, my roommate is terrified that she'll come by while we're at Walmart or whatever and take all her stuff.

she also doesn't want to drive over and confront her wife - we have the address of where she's staying. She's incredibly non-confrontational and doesn't want to rock the boat for fear of making it worse.

I'm trying to like, hold space for her emotions, but I reaaaaaaally don't want to live like this. It's exhausting.

It kinda sucks because like, she's the one who's dealing with the potential end of her 20 year relationship, she's going through a world-ending experience right now, so it feels pretty selfish to, yknow, think about my own needs or feelings, but I think I have to? I have no idea how to balance being a good friend with taking care of myself. especially because we live in the same fucking house. this is a nightmare.

just found out my cousin (who lives in England) is in the art department of a bunch of shows??? And she worked oN DOCTOR WHO? AND HAD LUNCH WITH DAVID TENNANT???? and she just told me so casually because she's interested in the art, not the show? I mean, excuse me? She worked on SHERLOCK???? FOR A WHOLE SEASON?? She worked on Peaky Blinders and Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones??? And probably other things because she has a shitty memory and according to her everything is a blur?? AND AT ONE POINT SHE WAS LIKE: "oh and have you ever heard of Neil Gaiman?" And I was trying not to scream, because yes, of course I've heard of Neil, he's only my favorite author, I've only read like all of his books multiple times, and if you say you worked on Good Omens or the Sandman I'm going to lose it completely. So I said "yeah I've read a couple of his books," -you know, like a liar- "what about him?" and she goes "well I worked on one of his shows and he's brilliant i just can't remember which one" and i go "w-what do you mean he's brilliant? You're.. you're talking about his writing... his writing is brilliant, right?" And she cheerfully says "oh no I don't read books, I ment he was really nice and brilliant when I talked to him" and i go "WHAT DID YOU TALK ABOUT WHAT DID YOU TALK ABOUT" and she thinks for a moment and goes "oh! BRICKS" WHAT IN THE WORLD YES NO THAT MAKES SENSE YOU GET TO WORK AND TALK WITH NEIL FUCKING GAIMAN AND YOU TALK ABOUT BRICKS? NO THAT'S TOTALLY NORMAL I'M NOT MAD ".... it was what I was designing at the time, I needed to know what vibe the bricks should have.
