Before you deride anyone for being an "idiot", you should probably shit can the Meyers-Briggs pseudo-science in your description. You know, that way you don't look like an idiot who buys into that stuff.

Naaah, I still think that accusing a very anti-nationalist creator that created a very anti-nationalist movie FOR nationalism just because his movie used trademark brilliant Japanese nonverbal display instead of spelling stuff out like poorly written modern Western media IS pretty "idiotic". Waaaay more "idiotic" than MBTI stuff. 🌛 (retroactive, because I already did take my insult back several days ago)

I'll have you know that whereas MBTI is definitely not as binding and fails in what it tries to do (just like every attempt to strictly categorize people failed), it is actually SUPER handy to communicate a LOT of traits and patterns within a short abbreviation instead of a long essay! For example, people that know MBTI lore will read that I am ENTP and instantly expect me to be a lover of debates and "devil's advocate", be bad at talking about my feelings genuinely and sound hurtful without any intention to do so! If person chose to describe themselves with an MBTI label, it doesn't necessarily mean they are the type to take it super seriously, but often it is a way to communicate what to expect from their personality in a really compact form! Or at least what this person believes about themselves, which is also good for "communicating without communicating" :p Most people that have MBTI in their bio/pinned/whatever aren't as serious about it. Those that tried to choose friends/couple and form a collective according to MBTIs are long ago extinct, trust me!

I also found MBTI useful for some writing stuff. To define a type, you have to make 4 choices between 4 pairs of traits: 1) Introvert or Extrovert; self-explanatory 2) Sensory or iNtuitive; so, oriented more in "physical" reality and present or into past, thoughts and concepts 3) Thinking or Feeling; so, stronger at logic and thinking, or at empathy and tact? 4) Perceptive or Judging; so, an open-minded person that is okay with leaving loose ends or a person that needs clear distinction and final conclusion! Yeah they are very bare-bones descriptions and there is more to say about the 8 'letters', I am just cutting to the chase! I never passed MBTI test, I just figured which one of these aspects applied to me and it made ENTP abbreviation! Then I read the description of this type and could recognize a lot about myself. You can for example do that for a character you want to develop, get the abbreviation, then go read full description of this type and I guarantee you, there will be MANY things in the text making you go "damn this makes sooooo much sense for this character 👀" or otherwise inspire a vision of them!

I agree that people that get too caught up into MBTI stuff can be frustrating, and that accuracy of MBTIs is long ago debunked; again, no way to split humans into clear cut types works and we are all too different! Zodiac signs stuff is a similar problem. But, these things are good for communicating aspects of your personality quickly, for finding which sides of yourself to focus on and get "coherent shape" (very useful for my personality disorder ass!) and are good for WRITING! I've even found using MBTI descriptions as a help a good preventive measure from too much self-protection onto characters I am writing! You know same face syndrome issue in drawing? Sometimes the same problem is possible in writing personalities, MBTI is something that helped me to double-check whether I am doing this. Don't harshly discard a thing just because you haven't found an efficient way to utilize it! MBTI failed at what it intended to do but succeeded at being a good compilation of distinct traits and ways to think, act and react!

On the other hand, believing in anti-scientifical things is not necessarily a sign of being a judgemental, narrow-minded, "idiotic" person: a person is only an "idiot" when they make themselves be.

That being said, I don't blame you for being strictly negative? MBTI craze, Zodiacs stuff and similar things have history of really annoying people wasting their time and being weird about what they tell others but that's not my case. In my country MBTIs are in general 90% fandom of memes xd I might consider removing ENTP from my bio in the future if I estimate people are more likely to expect the worst (like you did) than take it for fun after that """science""" has fallen but I just dunno yet. Transformers Robot Husband Poll: MBTI Types

A few of you have seen me mention this special interest of mine, but the rest of you are new. Hello, and welcome. I’d like to talk about our Round Three* contenders in light of personality typology, specifically the MBTI theory based on Jungian typology.

(*Why 3 instead of 4? Because I’d planned to post this yesterday and already had those characters listed.)

Yes, I’m aware this is classified as a pseudoscience. Yes, I put a questionable amount of stock in it. Now you see why I’d get along with Drift so well. 😛 This post is for fun, so please don’t take it as seriously as I am unless you’re genuinely curious. The main goal of this post is to present some interesting observations related to the correlation between who are most desirable fictional husbands and their MBTI types. That’s it. A TL;DR is at the end for the Blurrs among you. Anyway, here we go:

While I’m sure most of you have at least heard of MBTI, you should know that it’s not just the four-letter dichotomies: I vs. E, T vs. F, etc. I won’t bore you with the details; I just want you to be aware that mainstream culture has watered down the theory to a four-letter code when there’s far more complexity beneath the surface. Cognitive functions, function axes, etc.

Without further ado, here are the contenders from Round Three (the versions I know best) and what I think each one’s most likely type is:

“What does all of it mean though?”

Well, it tells me that the fandom really loves their xNTPs and xSTJs. You may have no idea what that means on a detailed level, and that’s fine. The short version is that people either love down-to-earth guys who are dependable and know how to get stuff done or the funny guys who have a nerdy, creative, or rebellious streak. This is obvious just from looking at the results and tags, but it’s interesting to me that the overall trends can also be seen through the lens of MBTI.

Now, for the fun part: I’m expecting the semifinal contenders to be Cyclonus, Knockout, Soundwave, and Jazz. Their respective types are ISTJ, ESTP, ISTJ, and ESFP (or ENFP). Once again, opposing temperaments. (i.e. ISxJ vs. ESxP)

Furthermore, the projected finalists are Cyclonus and Soundwave—both of whom are ISTJs. The conclusion is that, despite the appeal of the xNxP guys, ISTJ characters are more likely than any other type to be seen as good husband material, which lines up perfectly with the general stereotypes associated with ISTJs.

TL;DR - The majority of the fandom agrees that ISTJ characters are peak (stereotypical) husband material, and a deeper look at the type would reveal that they are absolutely correct.

The object of BEOMGYU’s affection, and that which he wrestles most passionately with, is himself.

You said you retested your MBTI a few months ago and this time you got I[ntroverted].

BEOMGYU: I’m still mostly like I was whenever I’m around the other members, but my personality has changed a lot since debuting. It used to be that, if I had time off, I would go out no matter what, whether to see friends or go shopping by myself, but ever since I debuted I can count on one hand how many times I’ve gone out to see friends. I used to really look forward to meeting new people; now I feel a little awkward in those situations. I have a perpetually public-facing job so now I like spending my personal time quietly on my own. I think I like that sense of absence. (laughs)

I feel like you have the opposite energy, too. You create a fun atmosphere when the situation calls for it, like when shooting variety shows.

BEOMGYU: If I’m set to film a variety show for three hours, for example, I privately make up my mind to act crazy during that time and absolutely nail it. I can feel that I’m losing my energy while filming lately. But still, I’ve enjoyed variety shows ever since I was little, and I want to be entertaining, so I try not to hold back. I really like watching 2 Days & 1 Night and if you watch the people on it, they really go all out. They make their own stuff throughout, inventing their own rules, like, “Whoever loses should jump into freezing water.” I think that’s when I understood that, when it comes to variety shows, the more all-out you go, the more fun it is.

Since you’re so notable for your energy on your own variety shows, do you feel a sense of responsibility when you do other shows?

BEOMGYU: A little bit, maybe. The other members are pretty shy and feel some amount of pressure when it comes to variety shows. TAEHYUN used to always say, “I’m really grateful you’re there to carry us on variety shows. I’ll go along with what you’re doing. I trust you.” That eventually made me feel responsible, which made me feel like I had to be the one to carry the show no matter what. (laughs) Now I think about how I need to keep the other members’ energy up while having fun myself, too. I’m always looking at the plan whenever doing a show and thinking, Hmm, so that’s the vibe they’re going for; I should do this or that—because I know you have to put in an effort for every part.

What was it like getting ready for the year-end performances? In the behind-the-scenes footage for 2022 MMA you were so passionate that you personally asked for a reshoot of the prerecorded parts.

BEOMGYU: We really put every last ounce of ourselves for every awards ceremony. We absolutely had to put on a good show this time because we were working on it even when we were in the middle of touring. It was like a war zone. But there’s so many different variables at awards ceremonies that you never know how it’s going to turn out, even if you prepare 200%. So, I think we have to try again if we have a chance whenever we look different performing than we have in mind or there’s a part we mess up. All of us are really ambitious about our performances, so even if I feel satisfied with where we’re at, if someone else isn’t quite satisfied, I don’t make a stink. We just say, Sure, let’s do that again, and follow along. Because we know we all have to find no problems with the performance for it to be perfect.

I bet you really wish you could’ve done the part where you use a lighter to set a rose on fire and throw it back.

BEOMGYU: I thought that was the best part, actually. I was supposed to take the rose and the lighter out all in under five seconds, but the rose got all crushed in my clothes so it wouldn’t come out. I had to improvise to save the moment, so I just stared at the lighter and pretended to throw it away. I was half losing my mind (laughs) but I just thought, If you don’t have teeth, use your gums, and did that. It was too bad, but more people than usual told me it was a good performance. It made me feel better to think the performance was decent after all the passion we put into practicing for it.

People said that they can tell how carefully you study when they saw your cover of V’s performance for “DNA” by BTS at 2022 SBS Gayo Daejeon. It was also well-received for how incredibly well you adapted it to suit you specifically.

BEOMGYU: Heheh. (laughs) I’m always really determined to do a good job when I cover their songs. I really wanted it to be good this time, too, so I watched videos of their performance so, so many times when I was practicing. I can’t do it like they can, but I still wanted to do it as closely as possible, so I kept thinking about his attitude, starting with emulating his facial expressions, and what they wanted to express through the song. I was inwardly proud because the response after was really good.

You tend to put a particular amount of effort into the way you express yourself on stage. Did the way you study come about as a result of all your experience?

BEOMGYU: I try not to forget how I first felt when I heard a song. I base my studying on the things that come to mind when I first heard a song or saw the rough choreography—things like how certain parts should be expressed or the parts I really want to bring to life. And I usually get better at things while shooting music videos. When it’s captured on camera, I check how it looks and think, Oh, maybe it would look better if I did it like this? And make lots of adjustments myself.

Can you use “Sugar Rush Ride,” the lead single off your new album, as an example?

BEOMGYU: For this song, it’s really all about attitude. I felt like I had to be sort of a sexy, crazy guy. (laughs) For example, for the part that goes, “Come here more, let’s play more,” I had a really serious vibe at first. But, I mean, when we shot it, I tried acting more like a crazy guy. (laughs) I added a sweet-and-salty feel by laughing my head off then pulling a straight face right at the end while I make a beckoning motion with my hand, and people really seemed to like that a lot better, so I made some adjustments. I’m trying different things like that to come up with a decent final version. And the vocals were harder than I imagined. The part that goes “saenggak-eun” in the intro aren’t low enough to sing easily and aren’t high enough to use my chest, so it’s a really ambiguous pitch for me. The pronunciation of “saeng” and “gak” is vague, so when you sing them together, it feels like they get caught in your throat. That was a bit challenging, and “gimme gimme more” is just three words long but I had to make my voice lower and rougher than I expected so I could sound sexy, and I had to make the ending sound like it’s spreading out. I had to think carefully about how to bring out the emotions in detail.

What were you trying to express through the lyrics you wrote for “Happy Fools” (feat. Coi Leray)?

BEOMGYU: I wrote the part in the first and second pre-chorus that goes, “I’m like a butterfly / A honeybee who’s always working.” I’ve been that kind of butterfly before, too. (laughs) There was a difficult period after I debuted where every day felt the same—like running on a hamster wheel. That’s the feeling I was writing about—the feeling of going to work every day and the Sun already being down whenever I got off and the feeling of wanting to see the sunset. Ants and bees work nonstop, so I thought about how many things they might be missing in life, not knowing how beautiful the sunset is or how nice and cool the breeze was.

Your idea of happiness changes every year. What does happiness mean to you at the moment?

BEOMGYU: That’s hard for me again lately, actually. I used to try and look for happiness around me in easy ways, but lately, rather than chasing some vague idea of happiness, I’ve felt it’s important to deal with the situations immediately facing me and do so wisely. It’s possible for negative emotions to creep in when you’re busy like this and there’s less time to sleep and there’s limits on how you can deal with the stress. I always end up regretting it later on if I let those emotions take over me. But if you get a grip on those passing emotions and overcome them, time keeps passing anyway, and you don’t have to pay any mind to unnecessary things as a result. I feel more relaxed lately after practicing that.

It sounds like you’re learning to control yourself rather than being pushed and pulled by what’s around you.

BEOMGYU: Exactly. Haha. (laughs) So these days it feels like I’m spiritually enlightened. (laughs) I managed to let go of a lot of emotions, and rather than holding onto my immediate thoughts or concerns I’m living for one thing: wanting to do a good job on promoting this album with the other members—just being healthy and having a good time while doing what we want, without worrying about what other people think. That’s how I want to do things.

SOOBIN said recently that it must be fun to live the way you do.

BEOMGYU: I think I live a fun life thanks to the other members, though. I’m always having fun and feeling strong, even when I’m mentally and physically tired, thanks to them. I can rely on them so much that it makes me think I would’ve had a really hard time if I had been a solo artist rather than in a group. I feel like we’re really family now.

Given how often you share specific details of your life with your family when you were a kid in Daegu, it seems like your past memories play a big part in how you maintain your current level of happiness.

BEOMGYU: Music might be the only way to revive memories of the past, don’t you think? I can listen to some music that’s tied to a memory and, no matter how bad I’m feeling, that memory comes back to me and I feel happier for a bit. It’s weird, but when I listen to my cover of “Wonder” now, all my thoughts, worries and feelings from that time come back to me and it actually brings me comfort. It’s calm and sad songs rather than upbeat ones that make me feel like I’m being empathized with so I can slowly break out of feeling like I need to be comforted.

I guess your dad knew that and that’s why he made you a playlist called WHEN COOKEY SLEEP.

BEOMGYU: I share a streaming account with my dad and he makes playlists for me now and then. He continuously adds music to playlists that he’s categorized, like songs that are good for sleeping or that I have liked ever since I was little. He never said it directly, but it made me feel he’s always watching over me without having to say a word and he’s always been there for me.

Why do you so carefully choose to cover songs like “Wonder” and “you!” that reflect your tastes and sentiments?

BEOMGYU: The only thing that lets me fill up a whole song with my voice and express myself completely in video is a cover song, and that’s why I wanted to express myself in that way. I wanted to show people what kind of voice I have and I felt that genre would showcase my voice best. We make the songs on our albums as a group, so we have to sing in a way that harmonizes with the idea behind each song and with all the other members. My cover songs are a slight rebellion against that limitation. (laughs) With “Wonder” I wanted to show a side of me that was different from the bright me everyone knows, while “you!” was about expressing how thankful I am for certain people. I thought MOA would really like it if I could shoot “you!” in Japan, and I was lucky enough to be able to film it in Tokyo.

I feel like you’re someone who knows what he wants, what’s happening around him and understands himself really well.

BEOMGYU: I reflect a lot on myself—how I feel at a given moment, and even what I can do if I feel personally underwhelmed about something regarding an album we made. I think that’s possible because I continuously look back on those seemingly insignificant thoughts and feelings instead of overlooking them.

What made you think during the world tour that you’re “nothing without MOA”?

BEOMGYU: I couldn’t be a part of all the performances during the tour because I wasn’t feeling well. I really revealed my vulnerable side to MOA. But they cheered for me all the same when I got back on stage, they smiled with us when we sang happy songs, cried with us when we sang sad songs, and seeing that filled me with so much strength. I could feel that they were understanding of me no matter what was happening with me and that they love me. So partway through when I had to leave the stage I thought about how the people there had been waiting just for that day, and I decided I had to at least try to make it to the end of the performance even if I felt like I reached my limit and had to get off again, and went back on stage. Most importantly, I didn’t want to give up on myself and admit defeat.

You also said that only made you more certain why you do the work you do and made you love it that much more.

BEOMGYU: I was actually a little more accustomed to MOA not being there because of the pandemic stretching on and on so long. Spending that time together laughing and crying made me think I shouldn’t assign any particular meaning to the past three years when we couldn’t see MOA. I picked up a paper airplane at the last concert that said, “I was having a hard time and feeling sick but I’m better now thanks to you guys.” It was really, really comforting to me because it was the exact same thing I felt. That I’m no different from anybody else and can still be such a big source of strength to someone, and that I can get strength from this many people—I felt that’s the sense of meaning that exists between singers and fans. That’s when that idea really solidified for me: I have to put even more effort into my singing and dancing for these people.

I’m a high Fe user and was wondering if you could give me some advice on how to manage being alone. When I’m alone or in my own head, my thoughts tend to become really negative and I start overthinking and reading up on old stuff like MBTI or scroll through my phone, and I start thinking I’m depressed. But when I’m with people, I start to feel better and my mood improves. How do I combat this feeling?

EFJs have to learn to develop their personality as independent from other people. What that means is that you need to discover who YOU are, what you love, what makes you feel passionate about something, and develop hobbies and interests that do not require others to be around you. In so doing, you will learn to become healthier, to have a life separate from your friends, and identify what is meaningful to you whether or not anyone else cares about it. This will become very useful in allowing you to set your own agenda going forward.

The temptation for EFJs because they need/want people around them all the time is that they live vicariously through their emotional connections and their friends, sometimes not stopping to find out if they even care about the same things their fiends do or not. You need to see your down time away from people not as a time to become upset or lonely, but a time to explore and discover what you love. Instead of revising old topics, seek out new ones. Read books. Learn things. Study languages. Watch a film in a genre you have never seen before and think about how it made you feel. Spend time writing, or drawing, or learning how to do something (YouTube has endless videos that will teach you just about anything). Spend time thinking. Asking yourself questions about your life, and what you want from it, and how you intend to get it, and what your future is going to look like. You need to learn to self-entertain so you are not despondent when you are alone, so decide what you are going to do in your down time ahead of time and then do it so you are not left wondering what to do, and then internalizing or getting bored. Set your own agenda.

I also wonder if you have advice on being the one who is always making plans and stuff. It becomes annoying after a while if I am always initiating contact or making plans or trying to continue the conversation, but there’s no reciprocation. And when I tell people about this, usually, there’s no effect or barely any change. And I don’t want to have to just stop texting people or stop initiating contact because then, I’ll start to feel alone and in my thoughts and feel depressed again.

This can be hard. I am the same way -- if I am not initiating plans, no one sets them and I never get to see anyone. So I choose to do it, because otherwise I won't get what I want, which is time with people. So, if being with people is what you want, you need to simply accept the fact that you will have to be the ringleader unless or until you find another socially-driven extrovert to share the load. There's also the likelihood that you are dealing with a lot of sp-dom introverts, for whom social connections are simply not their highest priority. It's a casual thing that they can do without (horrific, I know, but for social seconds, socializing is optional a lot of the time).

I feel like I should strive to work on being more alone but it’s hard. I feel like I’m a super extrovert, because I’m always reaching out or talking to others, but I don’t feel close with anyone. I feel like people have this image of extroverts as being happy and stuff, but I get lonely a lot. I don’t have a best friend; only superficial “friends”.

I understand and I feel the same way. It can be hard to wait for a best friend to come along -- but stay open and keep looking, eventually you will find them.

I don’t really have any hobbies. I mean, i technically do, but I don’t really act on them that much. <- change this and start doing them

I wish I wasn’t an extrovert sometimes or at least wasn’t super extroverted; I see people being perfectly content being at home by themselves. Why can’t I do that? There's no one better for you than the Ars Goetia member himself, who is one of the most considerate and caring people behind the curtains.

Stolas absolutely adored literature, but doesn't have much hand in media. Despite that, he would love to trade stories with you and look over your writing- keeping anything you write for him- and would encourage you to introduce him to your favourite shows or movies so he can speak about them with you.

His love language is mainly quality time, he can listen to you speak for hours, or tell you all kinds of things about his history. Watching movies, reading in one another's company, every second counts. He can be a bit clingy because of it, but once you tell him you are off somewhere he backs off and leaves you be. The reunion always makes it seem like he hasn't seen you in decades, though.

Stolas never kept any typical pets, unless you count his carnivorous plants! They warm up to you, as well, and you become one of few people who can feed them without any scratches. Stolas trusts very few people to care for them properly and is stern about their caretaking- but fortunately you don't struggle with it at all!

Part of his home is grandiose collections of items, mostly valuables only royals could get their hands on. Nevertheless, he keeps a shelf or two for your items and treats them with just as much respect, all stuffed animals and figures are regularly cleaned and kept safe and sound for when you need them, and your posters are likely framed with gold and glass to keep them protected and to suit his aesthetic.

If anyone is good at keeping things relaxed, it's him! Whenever you feel overwhelmed or stressed, he can take for a stroll through the stars, where everything is relatively silent, calm, and beautiful.

Even better is that Octavia finds you a lot less stressful than Stella, and thinks a lot of the media you're into is pretty neat. She doesn't speak much with you, but youll catch her taking pictures with your things a lot and see the posts later that have some pretty flattering captions.

Expect lavish parties where you get to dress up and then sneak out together when it gets boring, and lots of activities and errands to go around with Stolas doing.

I thought a long time about if I should comment on this Alex drama bcs even though I like gossip it’s their life yk. Before I get into it, I don’t want to defend her on any of this, I don’t want to hate her relentlessly either I just want to rant a bit bcs it makes me think and I just need to get it out lol so don’t come for me.

anyway, as a person who thinks Charles is hot but also knows that realistically I'll never meet him or even if that happens, he'll never be interested in me I really don't know what to think of Alex. I want to like her but something about her just icks me idk. I just want to rant tbh lol.

1. The whole shy thing: I mean my MBTI is INTP and I am a bit socially anxious sometimes so I guess I (at least think) I know a bit about that. My problem is not that she has her Instagram on private or that she has an open TikTok but rather that she goes every-f*ing-where with him. Every event I've seen him attend in the last weeks, she’s also there. Alright, now maybe she just wants to support him but I as a shy person would never subject myself to cameras especially if my partner is so blatantly ignoring me all the time and I myself am clearly not interested. I'd maybe do 1 or 2 and then start skipping them. But then again, she and I are probably totally different so idk. Also paddock appearances. She's always there getting photographed and using the 'celebrity entrance' (idk how it’s called lol) when she could use the staff entrance many other families and friends apparently use. and i get not wanting to be special and different from all the other wags who go in the 'celebrity' one but i would be absolutely terrified of people posting the wrong type of pictures. And you still see her in the garage so it’s not even just to show she’s there. Also, if she’s not interested, why be at races? I get it that the time you can spend with your bf as a wag is limited but you could still travel with him and wait in the hotel and watch the race from there (and if its just to show support one of her friends could post her watching the race like they’ve done before lol) which would be much more relaxing and less stressful.

2. Also, not really an extra point but anyway, she did a lot of like gala stuff when she was younger and she didn’t look uncomfortable at all (I’m sure we’ve all seen the video where she wears the black dress a few years ago by now) so unless she suddenly grew socially awkward / anxious (which idk if it can even happen) or her parents forced her to do it and she’s just really good at acting she’s not shy at all. Also, if her art account was private previously and its just a place ‘to empty her camera role’ and she doesn’t want attention anyway why open it in the first place? Like she doesn’t want attention from people and has a private insta but a public insta too? It just doesn’t make sense to me.

3. Posing for cameras: She does pose for cameras (Wimbledon is a good example in my opinion, she looks so staged the whole time) and also around the paddock I guess idk I haven’t really seen that many pictures of her tbh. Also, the rumors of her calling paparazzi and then acting as if she didn’t want to be photographed (when, if ever, did that happen btw I never saw a location), if true, are just horrible bcs why. A ‘truly’ shy person (aka someone that actually doesn’t like attention) wouldn’t do that. No way in hell. But I guess if she wanted to show that she’s there to support her bf its an option bcs then she can at least control when photos get taken. But still weird. Idk if I would do it in her position. Probably not though bcs if someone finds out it’d be a big drama and its just not worth it. Same as with the next point, I kinda get that she wants to look pretty and supportive for Charles but its just a horrible way to do it. If you want to show that you support him to everyone so badly, post a story. On your art account, your real account (ofc it’d have to be open first) or make a third account. Not unheard of that people have a private and a public account. Probably what I would do to show some stuff but not everything.

4. Looking at wag pages: This I actually really get for some reason. Maybe she wants her bfs fans to like her or just be liked in general (I'm the same so i can’t really judge her on this) and changes bcs of that. It’s a bit pathetic in my opinion bcs you can never get everyone to like you and its obviously not working but as I said, I'm not better so I really shouldn't judge. The thing I find weird is her (apparently) letting fan pages in her private insta. In her position I’d be flattered by fan pages but why let them in your (or your friends) private insta? The pictures there will be leaked by them and everyone gains access so what’s the point of keeping it private? Another thing I have to add, why is she being so obvious about it? Like the Monza Studying TikTok was just weird, just sit it out and make an appearance with him, her changing from beautiful dresses to jeans all of a sudden was obvious, if she wants to change herself at least make it subtly and not boom complete style change.

5. Bikini add: Idk but it just feels so weird. I guess I get it bcs you’re suddenly getting all this attention from people and maybe these calls by brands and maybe want to try it out but then choosing a bikini brand is just weird in my opinion (maybe she thought it’d be more lowkey bcs it’s a smaller brand but idk). Choosing a bikini brand over something more modest just rubs me in the wrong way but that’s maybe just me bcs I’m not the person to wear revealing clothes or post me wearing revealing stuff. I get wanting to try modeling bcs tbf I’d be interested too but we’ll see if this was a one-time thing or not (she has modeled before btw but in my opinion that’s different bcs she wasn’t well known so in my logic / mind it’s less embarrassing bcs no one really knows who you are)

6. Apparently dropping out: Stupid. Only thing I wanna say to that. I know she’s rich and stuff but why drop out if you plan on leading a private life? Also, it’s such a prestigious uni (I think?) and just weird. Idk it doesn’t make sense in my mind but then again, she’s rich, I’m not and she probably has a trust fund set for her anyway.

7. Being rude to fans: Also idk what is actually true or not but being rude is like a no go in my book. I couldn’t be rude to strangers (as long as they’re nice / at least normal) if I tried and I’m not saying she needs to take photos with people but just maybe decline nicely and about her comment saying she’s not a delivery man or whatever is just weird. Bcs its not that hard to take something from a fan to give your bf. Also she was taking pictures with influencers in Japan / Singapore (I’m not sure which) again, why if you want to be private and are shy? Also if you want people to like you and change yourself so that they do, being rude is just illogical.

Hi, hi, Lina! I read your recent post and I'm going to share my knowledge of enneagram with you to try and understand your characters and their personality better. So please don't take this in a demeaning way! At least we both get to learn something new!

Firstly, an instinctual variant can be written like this: (sp/so) This means that self-preservation is the most dominant instinctual variant of that person's enneagram type, and social is actually the least dominant variant. So if Aimi's self-preservation instinct is non-existent for example, her instinctual variant should look like this: (so/sp) instead of (so/sx) like what you wrote. Just pointing that out for you! /gen

3w4 is very accurate for Akio, I must say. But his instinctual variant... If I remember correctly, a self-preservation 3 is focused on accomplishing goals and material success for their own sense of security. They have an ideal version of themself in their head, and they're constantly working towards that ideal. A social 3 is also prioritizes success, but mostly out of a desire for others to admire them. Basically, they do it for social status. A sexual 3 is less concerned with social status, but still strives to be successful in order to project an attractive image of themselves. They also focus more on their personal relationships and seek to feel wanted by their loved ones. All 3 of them actually seem to fit Akio quite well, so hopefully this can help you to type him better? (Also, just wanted to add that the sexual 4 has a tendency to lock onto someone they perceive as "better" than them and aim towards "dethroning" them somehow. This has me thinking that Akio should actually have his sexual variant higher in his typing. But you know him best. Maybe this website can help you.)

“I´ll be there in a sec, just give me a moment!” A man´s voice came from the back of the shop and you hummed affirmatively even though you doubted he´d heard you. Seeing as the shop was empty, you passed the time by looking around, inspecting the signs on the bikes that told you pretty much nothing. You were startled out of your quiet bubble when the guy called out to you again, this time nearer than before. “So, what is it I can…do for you?”

You looked up to see a young man with jet black hair standing behind the counter, who was quickly diverting his eyes from yours as you caught his gaze.

“Hi uhm… my friend said he needed to order some parts for his bike and…here, he made a list!” You quickly placed the note on the counter and mentally kicked yourself for making such a fuss about something as normal as this. Just order the parts and leave, it really wasn´t that hard. Who cared if the guy was cute? You cared. A lot.

“Okay, I´ll have to order some of the parts but they should be here in two to three days max,” he said, eyes slightly widening as he was suddenly reminded of who he was currently talking to. “If you leave your phone number, I could call you… about the parts, of course!”

SNOW??? It’s literally 60-70 degrees all week here but it’s also cotton ginning season so there’s lil bits a of cotton everywhere and that kinda looks like snow 😅

1. My idea of a perfect snowy day would be honestly my idea of any good day, staying inside with a fire going, some homemade food, probably a margarita cause those are year round beverages in my house, and watching movies surrounded by my loved ones. I don’t mind the novelty of snow because we don’t get it very often. I just hate the aftermath of snow… slush and mud and black ice

Personality:

Seemingly calm and collected, Shou's presence Is sorrounded by mistery, supported by the fact that he doesn't want to show his true intentions, although he confirmed more than once that they're not malicious.

He can be kind of clueless or alienated, but that doesn't mean he's all naive. However, Shou seems to still have problems with integration, and doesn't seem to work on It too much.

To people most close to him, he'll be more caring and understanding, though he does seem to be constantly worried about something...

Unique magic: "Just for a Moment".

This ability permits him to amplify temporairly one of his 5 senses. This magic does however require a lot of stamina, thus weakening him either slightly or severely after it's use. Energy gets regained through rest.

Some nights he can't really fall asleep, so instead of retrying again most of the times he just sneaks out of the dorm in search of a little midnight snack.

He does do an hissing sound, due to his half snake being, but tries to mynimize It, as It would freak out a majority of students.

In his room there's a little collection of tea cups.

When alone, presumably due to being bilingual if not trilingual, he speaks in an unholy mix of three languages; English, japanese and italian.

Since he's only been recently admitted, and had several encounters with Malleus, he does feel some sort of admiration for him. Overall, he did find himself being sort of friends with the other members, but Silver seems strangely cautious of him.

He will never admit It in public, but he secretly does keep a plushie that got stuck with him when he arrived through the mirror. It's a little rabbit and it's name is Willy.

As I've mentioned before, he his half a snake demon. While I'm still unsure about the overall design, I can however say that the height from head to toe (The part where legs should be) Is 6.10 m tall. He presents way sharper teeth, claws and a distorted voice. The transformation both in the beginning and in the end Is physically painful, but it's side effects stop around the 5 minutes mark.

He always brings with himself some bags of tea, for emergency purposes.

If you want to find Shou, just look in the yard; he should be somewhere, probably napping a little under a tree before getting back to class.

Simple Tritype Finding Redux

So remember how a while ago I made that post about how to find your tritype, which was somewhat popular, but also kind of rambly and theoretical? 

Apparently the peeps at the Big Hormone Podcast had an episode which did sort  of the same thing of looking at the “setting” of each individual center, but they expressed it much more concisely & punchy & much more useful

So, for those who don’t have time to listen to 2 hour of pod-cast (which honestly, includes me too, I should be doing something else rn), here’s a summary: 

Heart Center

2 fix

basically more warm compared to other ppl with the same core type 

casually touchy-feely, way more likely to hug, put their arms on you etc. (this can be very obvious in cultures where that’s less usual - ie, easier to spot on a North American man than a French woman)

4 fix

more guarded compared to others of same core type

stresses their tastes & preferences (ie, rant about music they really don’t like)

suspicious of hype & overly popular things - some tedecy to be the contrarian voice in a conversation

3 fix

especially if it’s the 2nd fix this can show as being more positive and/or better at self-motivating and a tendency to follow trends or fads

but it’s just as likely to show as just less obvious emotional coloration, or just adaptiveness/ social perceptiveness, or even ‘icyness’ - so you’ll often arrive at this by principle of exclusion.

2 Methods/ ‘cheats’ you can use here: 

Typing someone else: 

Apparently useful question here is to look at how people introduce themselves, cause the heart fixes represent different parts of identity & it’s all about what someone stresses. For example, the people who will open with something relationship-related (”Hi I’m soandso, I’m a parent”, “I’m a wife”) are probably 2-fixes. If they start out mentioning their job or some kind of accomplishment (”I’m a doctor”, ”I climbed X mountain recently”) they probably have a 3 fix. Whereas a person with 4 fix will not reference anything external but mention their tastes, interests and sentiments. (eg, “Hi, I’m Soandso, I like reading, writing & nerd stuff”, “I live on a farm where I keep peacocks.”)

Typing yourself: 

Think of this as a ‘should’ that you feel. A person with a fix doesn’t run around all day helping people (especially if their core type is something very different), but they might feel that they should be a source of help. Someone with a 4 fix might feel they ‘should’ be suspicious of anything that’s too hyped and popular, while someone with a 3 fix might kick themselves for not mentioning some archievement to their friends when this might have impressed them. 

Head Center

Basically, just look at what they do when they don’t know something. Like, imagine for example that your little sister has a question and you don’t already know the answer. Do you immediately ask someone, google it or point her to a trusted source? Six. Do you first speculate based on your preexisting knowledge & maybe then google it if you’re not confident? Five. Do you list multiple ideas for what the answer might be or where to find the info? Seven. 

6 fix

Checks external sources first, thinks second, may then corroborate the conclusion before accepting it

try not just to get the answer, but a sense of who thinks what. May warn you against other PoVs - this can lead to bringing morals/ politics into it even when it seems out of place. 

Other people need to learn to look at sources and ‘cui bono’ questions at some point, six fix ppl often do this immediately & pay attention to sources from the first. 

At best you get 15 year olds with scarily excellent bullshit detectors, at worst, middle aged ppl whose opinions are entirely copypasted. 

5 fix

Reverse of 6: Always speculates first based on whatever knowledge they already have, and checks sources second, if at all. Internal resources dominate.  (eg if the question is about tigers, they might say ”It’s like this in cats, so it might be similar. It fits with how Tigers live in jungles, too”)

Might just make a theory & throw it out there to see what happens

Might bring up a dark/macabre/disturbing topic without realizing. (6: “Are you defending cocaine addicts?” 7: ””Please don’t talk about murder on the table, we’re eating!”)

Tend to look for a point of distinction or underlying principle

7 fix

List multiple ideas or facts rapidfire 

while the other two sit down to launch into a treatise, the 7 either keeps the engagement level high by focussing on the more exciting parts, or just moves on. 

Cares less about cohesion, hanging on to a point or arriving  at a final conclusion so there can be a ‘kaleidoscopic’, multi-perspective  quality to the answer

Similar to how the 6 might think about the moral implications, the 7 thinks about the entertainment value & novelty . In the example with the little sister, the 7 fix person would say stuff that the child will find exciting. 

Body Center

This where it might be useful to listen to the podcast yourself cause they talked a lot about body language cues that would be much more apparent if you were a core body type or at least a sensor in the mbti. I have no sense of this so I can only relate the parts that I understood

8 fix

gives whatever the core type is a bolder, more unapologetic vibe

tend to “just do stuff” & more confortable doing it without mapping out all the consequences. Think the one person who says which restaurant to go to when no one wants to make a decision or gets bogged down on discussing pros and cons

More likely to get physical. If you’re a withdrawn type & it’s your last fix you might not actually throw down, but you might feel like you want/should if you could get away with it. Or you might just curse like a sailor.

9 fix

generally softer compared to others with same core type. They might be the most assertive & energetic 7w8 or 3w4, but still want to hear the other sides’ point. 

have an accepting, nonjudgy vibe

listens/connects more, much more able to be convinced

1 fix

sharper, precise, discerning vibe - feel satisfaction or repulsion in their body as ‘alignment’ or lack thereof

speaks a bit like a teacher or art critic with the intention to improve things

persistent, especially about complaints. Might bring up the thing that bothers them over & over again; may come off picky

Hi Charity! Might be a weird question but could this be related to the fact that I am a sensor (ISTP)? Or is it my Ti-dom nature seeping in, I am not sure. 

I am currently in art university and prior I went to art school for 5 years, as well as did courses specifically for academic drawing (you know, still nature, portraits of statues etc. extremely technical heavy stuff). I really like it but I feel that I am extremely slow because I can't rely on my eyes alone even with years of training, I always need to measure proportions and angles or everything will end up wonky. I am quite good at it, and I always get praised for my technique but I can't help but feel jealousy towards my classmates who work faster and don't need as much meticulousness as I do. Even though their drawings (not all of them but majority) are objectively wonkier and worse than mine, I feel like I should too be able to work fast and without measuring every single detail. I know that my feelings are irrational, given that I am almost on top of my class in this class and I get praised by my teacher a lot. But when everyone else is already shading their works, I am still making my construction perfect, checking every angle for mistakes and consistency. I quite like the process actually but as soon as I see at what point my classmates are, I feel like a failure - why can't I be as fast? Here it goes again - irrational sadness, I know I am good but I still feel disappointed. I don't even understand how they all draw without measuring stuff, are they able to just de-construct an object in their mind, and then transfer the knowledge onto paper (intuitive magic?) without mistakes? Is this how being "hand-on" bites you back? When I tell my classmates how I count the proportions in my head after I measure them, they look at me like I am crazy because I measure in fractions... I guess it's a really "math"-like approach but I find doing it in fractions easier than just relying on how I see something because I am bound to mess it up. Sometimes it makes me feel like I am an impostor who is hiding amongst real artists because of that. 

Thank you! I suspect that it's just a me-thing but it would be fascinating if it could be explained by MBTI. 

I feel like you are focusing on speed vs. accuracy and technique. If your technique takes longer, but it makes you a more accurate artist, the payoff is a good one, right? Because even though the process is slow, the artwork you produce as a result has far greater technical skill. In answer to whether Ti is driving this -- yes, because you want it exact. That's what Ti does. It works slowly through things until it understand them and then the process speeds up considerably. I suspect one of these days, having learned all of this "the slow way," you will find that it all "clicks" in your mind and you can do it faster. Maybe instead of laboring over each project, in your down time, you can think about 'hacks' that could help you lay out proportions faster.

Impatience to be good at something can come from Se -- but the comparisons with others is all Fe. Other types don't have to calculate in their heads -- they can just look at something and draw it. But they may or may not be better skilled at you. Even though learning the technique will take time, it will improve your sketching skills, so while it may cause you frustration to go "slower" than your classmates, I encourage you to re-frame your thinking. It's not a competition about who can get done first, it's a way to build your artistic skills and it's about the quality of your work. Things done in haste are never as good as the things that people labor over and take time on.

Is there any "right way" to do art, or is it more important that the artist feel pleased with the end result? Do you really want to just get things done fast, or do you want to produce a quality piece of work? The more time you spend laying out something, whether it's a sketch or a chapter in a book, the less work you have to do later to fix all the mistakes you made in the process.

Yandere MBTI P2: In-Depth Explanations

This is a follow-up to my previous post, for those who are interested in wanting to know the in-depth features of each type. You'll want to read part 1 first to avoid confusion.

Reminder of the Lettering system: C = Covert, O = Overt, D = Distanced, S = Smothering, R = Relaxed, W = Wary, P = Prepared, I = Impulsive

CDRP: Probably the most introverted type, CDRP yanderes tend to be very strong planners who appreciate the fucked up nature of their love and allow for the various reactions you may have. Their relaxed quality typically comes from guilt, which is also what drives them to behave distantly, while the covert quality may be less strong than other Cxxx types as they cannot bring themselves to lie entirely about their intentions. They want you to love them in your own time.

Example- Risotto Nero.

CDWP: The shrewdest yandere type, CDWPs are incredibly intelligent with a tendency to manipulate and a resistance against manipulation. Through great planning, they convince you to stay by their side through imaginary threats, but are careful enough not to blow it by showing inappropriate amounts of affection or too much trust before either is warranted. A very hard yandere to get away from, if you even want to.

Example- Lisa Lisa

CSWP: If you like being scared just a little, this is the yandere for you. Realistic thinkers who know you will likely despise them at first no matter what they do, they do not push for your love too early, but take up your time all the same. They don’t waste their time waxing poetic about their love for you, at least not yet. You’re clearly not listening as you look around in terror, anyway.

Example- Sorbet

CSRP: The most common of all the covert types, CSRPs are confidant in the strength of their lies to the point they have little worry for anything else. They are happy to treat you as any normal lover would and give you freedom to do as you wish, because you’re so tightly wrapped around their finger they don’t need to lock you up.

Example- Bruno Bucciarati

CDRI: This is perhaps the rarest yandere due to the conflict between the CD and RI types, but it is possible. Such yanderes are typically non-violent, eccentric individuals who appreciate their darling’s presence for the sake of it rather than needing constant affection. They may kidnap a darling on impulse, lie about why they did it, and hope their good treatment and high level of freedom will be enough to prevent a run away.

Example- Rohan Kishibe

CDWI: Somewhat of a classic, CDWIs are often outcast types who fall in love at first sight and know they need to have their darling any way possible. Since they keep their distance and are likely have other security measures in place due to wariness, they likely have a somewhat weak covert aspect, but will still be vague about their intentions.

Example- Jotaro Kujo

CSWI: They had a plan. It didn’t work. CSWIs are daydreamers. They may have elaborate fantasies about how to obtain their darling that are just plain hopeless, bringing on an intense paranoia and need to lie about their intentions when push comes to shove. Often highly insecure, they dote on their darling almost as a means of apology.

Example- Illuso

CSRI: Another highly passive type, CSRIs are often gentle individuals who don’t want to see their darling sad at any cost, so will resort to lies rather than force to get you in their grasp. Less planned than their CSRP counterparts, you’ll find a lot of people you might describe as ‘pure of heart, dumb of ass’ in this category. Arguably one of the least yandere yandere types in the system.

Example- Josuke Higashikata

ODRP: Rational individuals who appreciate the same quality in their lover. These yanderes are often negotiators, who make their motivations clear from the get-go and promise no harm in exchange for a certain level of relationship. Trusting you to hold to your word, they see no reason to force affection or restrict your liberty. Everyone’s happy.

Example- Tiziano

ODWP: A highly thoughtful group, ODWPs are somewhat pessimists, but hold dear affections for their darling and see you as deserving of the truth. They give you your space but are weary should you fall for them too soon, seeing it as suspicious. Rest assured, they do not expect you to live in awkwardness forever, and have great plans for a happy, blissful life once you are safe in the knowledge you love each other.

Example- Leone Abbacchio, Prosciutto

OSWP: One word. Unhinged. Some of the most… ahem, ‘fun’ yanderes, OSWPs want you to know exactly how bad they are down for you, and will remind you of it constantly. Expect incessant pestering, and a 2 year schedule for all the fun stuff they want to do with you as a couple. And don’t bother trying to escape either. Even if you do make it past all the security, they check on you twice hourly even in your sleep.

Example- Cioccolata, Gelato

OSRP: Perhaps this group’s most… unique… feature is that a lot of OSRPs seem to have little comprehension of the extremity of their actions. That’s mostly a combination of the overtness, the relaxedness and the preparedness, but the smothering really goes to show how little they find their obsessions strange for you. Hey, at least they’re all very chill. To be honest they actually make for some good company.

Example- Melone

ODRI: Arriving at the last row of the table, the OxxI types, we have the yanderes who are quite frankly figuring out what they’re doing at the same rate as you are. ODRIs are perhaps the most chill out of everyone, letting you spend vast quantities of your time completely unsupervised. Often, they’ll just give you one quick scare at the beginning to stop you running, then release you to do your own thing as long as you meet up every so often.

Example- Squalo, Guido Mista

ODWI: A complete contrast to the previous type, ODWIs are yanderes driven by fear of losing you, juxtaposed against a crushing guilt for their actions. Many ODWIs will genuinely believe you are in danger, causing them to abduct you on a whim out of paranoia. Most of your interaction early on is them just checking on you, since they’re too guilty for a proper interaction. On the plus side, they’re often very manipulatable.

Example- Ghiaccio, Vinegar Doppio

OSWI: Another type that honestly had no intention of going yandere but felt like they had no other choice for one reason or another. Real sweethearts, they feel like resorting to extremes is the only way they can get to be with you, but feel bad and try to make for it via their affections. OSWIs and ODWIs are very similar, the main difference being whether they see affection as an encouragement or hindrance to your love. It’s for this reason OSWIs tend to be the most delusional of yanderes.

Example- Pesci

OSRIs: These people would worship the ground you walk on. Always up to negotiate your treatment in exchange for a sweet smile, OSRIs dream of a happy future serving you. You just need a bit of encouragement to see how badly they love you first, of course. As you can probably guess, they are quite a naive bunch, and usually quite easy to manipulate. Though then again, they treat you so well, do you really want to leave?
