i still can't fully articulate why dean's anger in dabb era bothers me, especially because i like the theme of him needing/wanting to overcome his trauma and break the cycle of abuse and do better than john winchester (or chuck) ever could. i think it's a compelling narrative and one that suits dean as a character. but there is something wrong with the execution of it and the only way i can think to describe it is that it feels off in the same way that sam flinching in 13x18 when dean gets angry and swipes stuff off the table feels off. like, it's not that i don't understand why a person would flinch when someone is being physically violent near them. i would for sure flinch in that scenario. but... sam isn't afraid of dean?? he wasn't even afraid of john?? and i'm not talking about a nuanced depiction of real world trauma and all the different ways that can manifest and change over the years. i'm talking about a tv show with an established history and family dynamics. sam isn't afraid of dean. his reaction doesn't make sense in the canon of the show. it's just off.

similar to the way dean holding a gun to kaia's head in his desperation to rescue mary is off.

This is not even close to 5 sentences at this point but I was really in my feels about Tito not hanging out with Mat before the game. I put a read more break where I would’ve ended the 5 sentence drabble.

Tito takes long draws of the beer he grabbed from Mat’s fridge, leaning against the counter with a sigh. He can hear Mat rummaging around his bedroom.

Tito’s not entirely sure how he ended up back here— well, that’s a lie. He knows exactly why he’s back here: Mat waiting for him outside the visitors’ locker room, Mat looking sad and pouty, Mat asking him out for “just dinner” with a waver in his voice. Tito knew this was inevitable, and said yes anyway.

Mat finally emerges from the bedroom, his shirt untucked and half-unbuttoned, shaking a pair of leather handcuffs in the air victoriously.

“Found ‘em,” he beams.

“Yeah?” Tito rolls his eyes, suppressing a smile. “And what’s your plan with those?”

“Well, here’s the thing,” he starts, faking nonchalance. He boxes Tito in against the counter, putting the cuffs down behind him. “You’ve been ignoring me. And you blew me off yesterday. Kinda rude, don’t you think?” He trails his hands up Tito’s arms before efficiently unbuttoning his dress shirt. “Like, you and I both know we were going to end up here anyway. Just wanted to remind you of that.”

Deft fingers slip under his shirt and slide over his skin, leaving goosebumps in their wake. Tito uses the moment of distraction to flip their position, pinning Mat’s wrists to the countertop, and just gives in.

He leans in and runs his teeth up the column of Mat’s throat. He murmurs, “Well, if you’re trying to make it memorable, maybe you should be the one tied up.”

Mat swallows thickly. A whine escapes Mat’s lips when he presses wet kisses against his jaw.

“Yeah, you’d like that,” Tito chuckles, “Don’t worry, I got you.”

He feels the mask of confidence and arrogance melt away beneath him. If this is as good as he think it’ll be, then maybe this won’t have been a mistake. Or at least that’s what he tells himself anyway.

Ship It but I do have my own preferred narrative for them (Gemini Thesis).

Barzy got me into hockey, and he and Beau were always like a packaged deal. How could I not?

I'll read whatever for them (I am not really a shipper, so I'm not that picky)

BUT I do have ... a very specific way I see them that feels the Most True for me

-best friends, practically Twins (born 13 days apart)

-definitely did some weird homoerotic straight guy shit together

-very strong very close borderline codependent friendship

-underlying sexual tension that never goes anywhere (serious)

-genuinely could have been something sweet if they had met anywhere else, or maybe even just a few years later when the culture was different and they might have been more bold with each other

-maybe a perfect match that was never destined to be, but they became so close anyway that their lives wouldn't be the same without the other. but they never acted on their mutual desire and that will be their greatest What If...?

Basically I find them the most narratively compelling when they are two best friends that are so passionate and in love with one another that it actually hinders their romantic potential; and of course them being separated makes the feelings Stronger and Now Very Impossible. They realize they both are in love with each other right after the last possible moment, and they never get to be together.

Which is really sad, I know, but it's the most compelling to me. In my defense, I only really had them for a few months before I had to rectify Castor being mortally wounded by Idas, and Pollux giving up half of his immortality so they could always be together (Beau4Bo trade).

On a speculative happier note, I could easily see them finally getting together post retirement - either right away, after or during the End Of Career Depression, or after the End of Career WAG Divorce. In that deep pit of despair they will find consolation in each other and finally get their solace when they reach the grey havens and their ship sails into the west <3

During this year, the farm begin to produce crops and the family were able to eat more vegetables and a few stews.

The kids slowly gain a little bit of weight and they look a lot healthier. Payne also aged up into a child. He was very energetic and loved exercising and spending time with his brother Elias.

With more food in their bellies, the kids played a lot together and the dynamics between them were more clear every day.

Martha were super fussy and wanted all the attention she could get, and her favorite person was Clementia. She loved when her cousin read stories to her or when they played together. She also get along pretty well with Aubray and Elias (her twin brother). But she COULDN'T STAND JOYSE. They were always fighting and biting each other, what made Tally really mad and strict towards both of them.

Elias was the most independent kid Tally had ever seen. He was often by himself or Payne, with whom he had a pretty close relationship.

Life goes on and on, but Tally couldn't stop thinking about his deal with the witch... and he were always thinking about what to do to not give her Joyse or Aubray.
