Mongrel

The Mongrel received its baptism of fire during the Battle of Tukayyid, where it was commonly seen leading light Stars, especially on deep reconnaissance and raiding missions. The Primary configuration uses an ER large laser at long range, but really excels at closer ranges. Up close, the Grendel makes use of three ER medium lasers that can be devastating to light 'Mechs and a Streak SRM-6 that exploits any holes the lasers make. An ER small laser that is effective at point-blank range seems an afterthought. This design is best using its large laser to soften up an opponent, then dash closer in a flurry of lasers and missiles. Two extra double heat sinks help to keep the design mostly cool.

Addressing the "No Harassment" rule people are still breaking.

Hello everyone it's been about 5 months since I last posted anything Ugigiugi-related. However, I was recently messaged over something I still have to address because some of yall ain't listening to what many of us have been saying since this Ugigiugi drama began. This will be a long post.

There has always been a rule of "No harassing" people about the Ugigiugi situation.

This rule has always extended to people who do not want to see/hear the drama in the Twst fandom but also to people who used to/currently follow Ugigiugi. Anyone who's followed my blog knows I've already had to talk about harassment/spamming before but it seems no matter what people keep breaking this rule.

I was recently messaged that one (former) follower of Ugigiugi was being harassed. This same person who messaged me is someone who has helped save/sent us some of Ugi's now hidden art and given us some art sources since the drama unfolded. They have already explained to me that they only follow Ugigiugi on DA now for the sake of keeping an eye on her activity and nothing else.

Now I'm aware there are several reasons people still follow Ugigiugi on DA. I know some people follow her by watching her profile. Others use tabs/HTML links to said profile and so on. Whatever reason doesn't matter people follow people for different reasons. That being said once again I am still seeing this type of harassment going on and it needs to be addressed. I was sent these screenshots and have permission to post these by the person being harassed.

So first off. This is STILL harassment. I'll keep saying it till the cows come home. Harassment of any type is against what a lot of us here have been saying to not do. Secondly, Let me correct people here on something. A watch doesn't equal a "boost" or supporting number on a profile. DeviantArt doesn't work the same way Tumblr or Twitter works when it comes to boosting a profile to the "popular" side of a Social media page. Engagement/activity/views on art pieces are what boost the algorithm. (More so you have to be breaking BIG NUMBERS to get your profile on the front page) That being said? Ugigiugi's numbers have dropped since she was exposed. She used to be pretty close to 600 watchers. She's now down to 315. So if anything she's lost half of her numbers, and with her no longer posting on DA she's lost traction as of this time. Thirdly, it's juvenile to be going after Ugigiugi's "watchers". At that point, you're just looking to start a witch hunt for people. Ironically, you're also going after the people who have been helping me and others since the drama unfolded. I need people here to stop going after people like this. You shouldn't be harassing anyone. It doesn't even matter if they're a watcher/or a fan of Ugigiugi or someone who might be helping keep an eye on her. We've stated time and time again, to not be harassing anyone. PERIOD! I'm going to go ahead and say this if anyone is getting harassed about the Ugigiugi stuff please just go ahead and block or report them. I'm getting very tired of having to repeat the rules because people are looking to use their "ugi hate" on someone. As for whoever this Cerulea--blue person? I don't know if they are a user here or if their under a different name on Tumblr but if you see this post? Kindly, stop. If you have so much energy to be doing something then go source Ugigiugi's traced art (there are still plenty of unsourced pieces) or something more productive than harassing people. Finally I got to do study stuff!! I just wanna learn vocabulary and write a bunch of notes. That's all I ask for.

I tracked 315 minutes of focus time on forest today, a rare treat. I did have to split my studying between the afternoon and the late evening, but that's alright.

Random life update 🤍

I think I am going to take a break from therapy for awhile. I've been going for over 3 years now. It is okay. I never feel good about it but I never feel bad about it either. At the point in my recovery, I am low risk and while I know a crisis will occur before long, it seems like I am just talking to the air. Could I dig deeper? Could I labor my emotions? Sure, I just feel I am good for lack of a better word.

Health-wise - I'm the best I've been in recent memory. I eat what I want but not too much of it. I drink maybe once a week and make efforts to reduce my consumption of animal products and saturated fat thanks to some less than stellar cholesterol numbers (I blame the chocolate).

I run three times a week/10 miles a week and lift for no less than hour per week, more if I can. My sleep in on a set schedule even on weekends; minus the few days before my period when I can't seem to close my eyes until 4am because every little sound sets off an alarm in my brain.

I want to write more - I miss it. Even if its trash journaling online - it feels good to type out something more than a professional email or Slack message. This goal is extremely attainable because the word "more" is subjective so anything above once every few months is "more".

Austin finally started going to therapy, I've been waiting for this for the past 3 years but never asked it of him. I knew he had to make the choice for himself -- he is getting on some meds that we hope will help his anxiety. I have my doubts but I also have hope because why the hell not.

He wants to move again because we can't stand our garbage neighbors. A family of 4: the mom, the daughter, the daughter's live-in boyfriend, and a teenage son (of the mom). The boyfriend owns a black GMC SUV with dirt-bike racing stickers displayed above the front windshield and the letters "D + H" soaped on the back. The vehicle barely runs and when it does it is loud and obnoxious. There are three dogs living in the house, two Chows and an mutt that looks like William H. Macy. They rarely leave the house except to get late night fast or work on said junk SUV. The conversation between members consists mostly of the word "fuck" and drama similar to what you might see on mid-day television courtroom television.

To be fair, I mostly don't mind. I've had dubious neighbors before like the drug dealer that lived below me and threatened his girlfriend so loudly one night, I called the cops. It's all part of living in the world in my book. Can't change it so just let it be.

I really want to find a home someday. Columbus is my home, yes. But I've always got my mind halfway somewhere else. I've felt it forever, probably since I moved here- it was just temporary. It wasn't supposed to be 15 years. I came for a job, stayed for relationships and a job, and continue to stay because of similar items.

Home right now is where the cat is and the cat lives in Columbus.

I do love how green it is here right now. Driving along 315 last night, I thought about how all the leaves would be gone in just a few months, and the sky would be the grey-grey blue that only exists from November - March in Ohio. I feel grateful to live somewhere I feel safe and know better than any other place on the planet. I never remained planted in one place for very long growing up, I remember. Staying put allows for roots, but someday the roots can overgrow the pot, and it is time to to transplant somewhere new.
