The Sister Wolf-Introduction
Tumblr media
AN: Finally posted this, here is my clone war era fic, The Sister Wolf. Enjoy!
Tumblr media
Wolffe looked at the group from his perch and sighs.
He trying to figure out when this person first appeared in his squad.
The person in question is Whina Fen.
She first appeared as a mechanic that badly needed a job and she found out the 401st had a opening. She was interviewed and seeing her skill-set, was hired.
Standing 5'4 and with a mess of black curls and piercing green eyes, she didn't look like too much trouble.
How wrong he was.
She was strongly opinionated. She swore like a pirate and didn't really care for authority. According to her, you need to earn her respect, (General Plo Koon seems to earn that instantly.) She resolves a lot of her arguments with her fists and snarls at them.
And if its not her, its the team she brings in.
Along with her was a navy-colored nautolan named Rafe. Wolffe learned that he was actually her adopted brother. He was adopted into her family when he was young and they were inseparable. For some reason, they both enable each others shenanigans, which results in chaos, pranks or a fist fight.
Standing 6'4, he looked like he can wipe the floor with her but it usually ends in a tie.
Then there was Elspeth.
Elspeth was an odd one. Like Whina, she is human but tall with dark brown skin and her black hair in a braid, she looked more like a model. She seemed to be the voice of reason of the trio, always calm and collected.
Then some idiot shiny pinched her rear and she sucker punched him so hard his nose broke and he fell unconscious. Wolffe realized you should never underestimates the quiet ones.
But they had their good points.
They were always kind to the clones and sometimes bring in contraband to them, like snacks, books and clothes. They joke and laugh with his battalion.
They treat the clones like human beings, which so many nat-borns won't do.
Wolffe wonders again just how this weird trio got into this battalion.

THE LADDER IN MY GARDEN
I brandish my blade
placing the serrations against my skin
I pull it back
like a violinist
entranced by their own music
over and over
slicing and slicing
watching as my daisy white skin begins to bloom into a soft rose
she greets me
still confined beneath the surface
my blade is too dull to release her
so she sends tiny droplets of crimson
blooming to the surface in her stead
she slowly cultivates my garden.
I long for a better tool
I long for something deeper
I long to release the rose from her barrier
the lines create ladders up and down my arms
so jagged and shallow
the rungs are useless to her
the rose cannot climb the ladder when there is no ladder to climb.
one day I will have a new tool,
one capable of freeing her
I will build her a ladder
a true one, that she can use to encourage new roses to bloom
rather than the ghost I have been offering her thus far.
she will climb the ladder
each rung flowering
a beautiful crimson
the blooms finally released
from beneath my skin
it will be beautiful.
but until then the rose greets me
whenever I brandish my blade
no matter the tool
how dull it may be
how trapped she may remain
how useless the ladder I create for her may be
she will wait
greeting me happily when I drag my knife across my skin
as i attempt in vain to create a garden with improper tools
she will wait
for the day that she may climb the ladder in my garden.

[JPost is Israeli Private Media]
Three battalions will be diverted to the base, instead of performing their duties in Gaza. Two battalions from the Nahal brigade and a battalion in the 401st brigade were informed by the IDF that they would be transferred to the Beit Lid army base instead of the Gaza Strip in the coming days, army radio reported on Monday night. The transfer comes after rioters invaded the base.
The break-in on the base and the attempts to break into the military courts were defined as serious incidents. As a result of these incidents, several companies from the Israel Defense Forces were deployed in the first phase, and in the second phase, battalions will arrive to protect the Beit Lid base from disturbances.

Episode 3 and Episode 5 of Masters of the Air were very action packed and focused on the air battle so there weren't a lot of women in these episodes BUT! I still caught a glimpse of ladies! If you look in the background you can see a whole bunch of WACs hard at work at headquarters. They can be hard to find at first so look closely! I even made you some gifs just to be sure they aren't missed ;)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
WACs assigned to the 8th Air Force, Headquarters performed a wide variety of jobs including secretaries, teletype operators, cooks, file clerks, photo technicians, switchboard operators, radio operators, draftsmen, translators, weather observers, aircraft plotters, cartographers, and much more.
Here are some original photos of WACs assigned to the 8th AF HQ at work:

Folks! We're posting on this blog after 2.5 years because a lot of things have been happening, and this April will be a good one for Titanic Enthusiasts. With that being said...
Welcome to “A MONTH TO REMEMBER.” 31 days of Titanic animations, announcements, documentaries, lectures and livestreams brought to you by TITANIC: HONOR AND GLORY and our partners.
To kick off the month, we begin where Titanic once began...
Titanic was comprised of many thousands of steel structural elements, but all of that rested upon a keel which had to be built before everything else. The very first pieces of the keel that had to be laid down in the Arrol Gantry were the keel bars, long slabs of steel some 9.5 x 3 inches thick that formed the very bottom and center of the ship.
And so, 115 years ago today, the first piece of the keel was laid for Harland and Wolff’s 401st ship on a cold slipway in Belfast. Humble beginnings for a 46,000-ton ship that will one day captivate the world.
Join us all month long for everything Titanic including our first ever Real-Time LIVE EVENT. For the full month schedule, visit https://www.patreon.com/posts/presenting-month-101308623

The Sister Wolf: Growing Up
Tumblr media
“So, whats it like growing up with this heathen?”
Rafe looked at Boost and snickered, while Whina looked at the clone with a scandalous look.
Tumblr media
The wolf pack laughed and some even snorted. The pack were with the Fen siblings and just relaxing after fixing up some cruisers. Boost was curious just how different the siblings were.
“Whatever do you mean? I am a joy to be with.” she said with a laugh, her BD droid trilling in agreement.
“Its not so different from now.” Rafe said, the nautolan twirling one of his tendril. “But I was way more shy when I was younger. Like, I didn't talk a lot. Whina did most of the talking.”
“Did she get you guys in trouble?” Boost asked with a laugh.
“Well, yeah. But our brothers also did a lot of the talking, so we got away with some stuff.”
The Pack suddenly went quiet at that. They had other brothers?
“You guys have brothers?” Sinker asked.
“Well, they are technically my half-brothers.” Whina said “Same dad, different mom. The oldest is Micheal and the second oldest is Ian.”
“What do they do?”
“Micheal is a bounty hunter.” she said, stretching her legs out, “ We didn't have a lot of credits growing up, especially after mom died and that was the quickest way to earn. He did that a lot until my grandparents took us in.”
“That must have been a lot for your mom, having you, two step kids and then taking in Rafe in.” Wolffe said, cleaning his helmet.
“Oh she was awesome woman. She saw me, some poor urchin in the street, swung me on her shoulder and took me home” Rafe said dramatically.
The siblings laughed at that, but then went sombre.
“Our dad wasn't all there. “ she said, waving her hand across her face, “I think he only married my mom to watch his sons. So when she died, he completely checked out. Just drank and gambled. So Michael had to watch us. After 2 years of that, our grandparents found out, argued with dad and took us away.”
Whina shifted in her seat, pulling up her hair in a bun.
“ But Michael actually really liked bounty hunting, he was good at it. Hes kinda semi-retired now. He doesn't take a lot of jobs, mostly kicking back his feet and relaxing.”
“What about your brother, Ian? What he do?” Comet asked
The Fens went quiet and Comet felt like he stepped on a landmine.
“Ian is a lawyer now.” Rafe said, tugging on one of his tendrils, a nervous tic that clone noticed.
“Ian...never got comfortable around us. He had a hard time with new people in his life. He didn't like sharing his space with us and I guess he still feels like that.”
“Oh that's a load of BS, Rafe and you know it!”
The pack looked at Whina, who looked enraged.
“Sure he must have felt liek that when were kids, but we are karking adults. We shouldn't karking cater to him cause he still feels butt hurt that we entered his life and that Michael had to take care of all of us" she growled out, "Hes always lashing out on us and sneering at us, treating us like dirt because you are adopted and I'm his half sister. He always tries to prove to everyone how hes the real brother. He's a dick!”
The siblings went quiet; Whina fuming with her arms crossed and Rafe tugging on his tendrils nervously. The pack stared at them, a little put off seeing the normally confident Fen's so upset. The tension was broken when Whina snickered.
“Wanna know whats the worst thing about living with this guy?” she said, pointing to Rafe. Whina walked to the blinds and closed then, then turning off the light. The pack looked at Rafe in surprised amusement,
The nautolan was glowing in patterns, looking very annoyed.
“We had to share a room when we were little and it was the worst. It was like sleeping during a rave.”
The group started laughing while Rafe shoved his sister playfully; the earlier words forgotten for now.

The Israeli military said it has taken "operational control" of the Palestinian side of the Rafah crossing, the only point of exit and entry between Gaza and Egypt.
The military said that its 401st Armoured Brigade captured the crossing in southern Gaza on Tuesday morning, following an overnight military operation.
The 84th Givati Brigade disconnected Salah al-Din road in eastern Rafah from the crossing with Egypt during the operation. The Israeli military said it killed 20 Hamas fighters and found three tunnel shafts. Gaza's General Authority for Crossings and Borders said that passenger entry, as well as aid deliveries into the Rafah crossing have been halted following Israel's invasion of the area.
An Israeli army vehicle was also seen driving along the Gaza-Egypt boundary, holding up a huge Israeli flag and the flag of the 401st Brigade. Footage taken from an Israeli tank posted on social media showed the vehicle bulldozing a sign reading: "I (heart) Gaza" "Gaza’s only window to the world is being stormed & destroyed by Israeli tanks," said Gaza-based Palestinian journalist Hind Khoudary.
The Rafah crossing is a vital lifeline for Palestinians, as the only gateway in and out of the enclave not directly controlled by Israel. Since Hamas took control of the territory in 2007, the crossing has been jointly controlled by Egypt and Hamas. Over one million displaced Palestinians are sheltering in Rafah, many in makeshift homes and tents. On Monday, Israel ordered 250,000 Palestinians to leave Rafah, as it began to heavily bombard the eastern part of the city ahead of its planned ground invasion.
Palestinians currently in Rafah have told Middle East Eye that the people sheltering there are in a state of panic, and are concerned that they will not be safe even if they leave, given their experiences in Gaza over the past seven months.

[ 📹 The Zionist occupation army commits yet another massacre of a Palestinian family after bombing a residential home on Al-Jalaa Street in Gaza City on Monday, even as the IOF continued its siege of Al-Shifa Hospital in the Al-Rimal neighborhood.]
🇮🇱⚔️🇵🇸 🚀🚀🚀🏘️💥🚑 🚨
ISRAELI VIOLENCE AGAINST PALESTINIANS IN THE GAZA STRIP RAMPS UP ON 164TH DAY OF ONGOING GENOCIDE
On the 164th day of Israel's ongoing war of genocide in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) committed a total of 8 new massacres of Palestinian families, resulting in the deaths of at least 81 civilians, mostly women and children, and wounding another 116 others over the previous 24-hours.
According to Gaza's Ministry of Health, a number of bodies of the dead and wounded remain trapped under the debris and rubble, or remain scattered in the streets, as the Israeli occupation army continues to prevent ambulance and civil defense crews from reaching victims.
Meanwhile, IOF tanks, armored bulldozers and armored personnel carriers continue to besiege Al-Shifa Medical Complex, located in the Al-Rimal neighborhood, west of Gaza City, which remains the largest hospital operating in the Gaza Strip.
Local medical sources told the Palestinian news agency, Al-Quds News, that they were unable to save a number of wounded civilians due to the continued bombardment of the complex, while IOF soldiers fire on anyone who approaches the windows of the buildings.
Heavy shelling in the vicinity of the Hospital resulted in a fire near the surgical unit, by the hospital gates, suffocating civilians in the area and trapping them inside the hospital. The Zionist occupation army also cut off communications services to the hospital during the siege, and is currently ordering civilians to evacuate the hospital for the Al-Mawasi area.
At one point, occupation soldiers stormed Al-Shifa Hospital, arresting dozens of Palestinians, while local Resistance forces confront the invading Israeli army in the streets and neighborhoods surrounding the complex. At least one Al-Jazeera journalist, by the name of Ismail Al-Ghoul, was inside the hospital at the time of the Israeli raid, with reports that IOF soldiers beat and assaulted the reporter.
According to the Hebrew media, at least one Zionist soldier was killed during the siege amid intense exchanges of gunfire with Resistance forces operating in the Al-Rimal neighborhood.
Zionist authorities, who claim Hamas operatives were "using the hospital to plan and carry out terror activity," told the Hebrew media that the operation to encircle Al-Shifa Hospital was a joint one between troops with the 401st Armored Brigade, along with special forces units, in conjunction with Shin Bet security agents.
Gaza's Ministry of Health was scathing in its assessment, telling local reporters that “the Israeli occupation is still using its fabricated narratives to deceive the world and to justify the storming of the Shifa Medical Complex, and the Israeli military attack aims to continue destroying the health system in northern Gaza."
The Ministry also called on the International community to reject Israeli practices and asked that United Nations institutions intervene on behalf of the people of Palestine by going to the hospital to protect the civilians inside from the occupation army.
As the siege of Al-Shifa Hospital brought intense battles to the Al-Rimal neighborhood, Zionist air forces bombarded a residential building near the Legislative Council, while simultaneously, occupation gunboats and warships fired artillery shells near the Al-Mashal Foundation, southwest of the Beach Camp, west of Gaza City.
Similarly, the Israeli occupation forces bombed a civilian residence belonging to the Felfel family in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, southwest of Gaza City.
In yet another atrocity, Zionist warplanes bombed the Abu Ahjir Family home, located in the Nuseirat Camp, in the central Gaza Strip, killing at least 9 civilians.
Meanwhile, the corpses of those killed by the occupation's army continue to be recovered after the withdrawal of Zionist forces from the Khan Yunis governate, with at least five martyrs found and transported to Rafah city, in the south of the Gaza Strip.
Israeli occupation air forces also launched several air raids on agricultural lands close to the border with Egypt, in the city of Rafah, with a number of casualties reported as a result.
The Zionist massacres seemingly never end, with another new atrocity committed by Israeli occupation forces. This time, IOF soldiers fired live bullets towards civilians near Al-Rashid Street in Al-Zahraa City, in the central Gaza Strip, which resulted in the deaths of four Palestinians.
At the same time, the Israeli slaughter of civilians turned towards Palestinian children once again, with two local children killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a civilian residence in Khan Yunis, in the south of the Gaza Strip. The two children were recovered by local rescue crews and taken to Al-Najjar Hospital in Rafah.
As a result of Israel's ongoing war of genocide against the Palestinian population of the Gaza Strip, the endlessly rising death toll has now exceeded 31'726 Palestinians martyred, more than 25'000 of which being women and children according to the United States Pentagon, with another 73'792 civilians wounded since the beginning of the current round of Israeli aggression in Gaza beginning on October 7th, 2023.
