You spent most of the rest of the day researching and packing supplies, then you spent most of this morning going around the city to source special mounts, so it's early afternoon before you set off.

Tati (playing Seraph): Excellent, I have time to see Alwel before we leave instead of just texting him on the way out of town.

Hamish (playing Thaddeus): Guys, we just dropped thousands of gold on fancy mounts. We're rich assholes.

Tati: Mid-life crisis.

Hamish: Maybe not 'mid' for some of us...

Tati: Oh, the reason I asked if we were buying or hiring horses - we have to stable them.

Marijn (playing Godric): *shrugs* That's a problem for Future Us.

Tati: It's something we need to consider, though.

DM: There's a public stable for flying creatures in the Air District, kind of like a parking garage.

Tati: Excuse you, if I had a mid-life crisis and bought a Porsche I wouldn't keep it in a public garage. I'd like to see what it would cost to buy a small parcel of land adjacent to our property and build a stable on it.

Marijn: God, how much is that going to cost?

Tati: I only want a small surface area. Most of our mounts are flying, so we could build a tall, narrow roosting tower for them.

Adam (playing Billie): Like a giant cat tree??

Tati: Exactly like that.

Adam: I'm on board.

Tati: I ask Knockfit to just make some inquiries while we're away. Cost of land, cost of construction, cost to hire a couple of stablehands.

DM: It'll cost about 20,000 gold to buy the land and build a tower on it.

Hamish: Oh, that's way less than what I expected! Let's do it!

Adam (playing Billie): I head to bed early, it's been a long day.

M (playing Kjell): Yeah, I'm going to turn in.

Tati (playing Seraph): Once everyone has drifted off I'm going to call Alwel on our Sending Stone and fill him in on what's happened. I'm probably a little incoherent.

DM: He says, "Okay, slow down. I'm going to come over."

Tati: I wait out on the balcony for him.

DM: He turns up ten minutes later and asks you what happened.

Tati: I say tiredly, "Lolth. Ioreth is Lolth. I mean that extremely literally."

DM: He looks at you carefully and then exhales. "Okay. Are you all okay?"

Tati: "I think so. Not really. But we're not hurt. She wants to recruit us. To kill Demogorgon. In the Abyss."

DM: He takes a while to process all this. "What are you going to do?"

Tati: I sigh. "I don't know. We can't work with her. Everything I know about Lolth says that even if she's telling the truth now, she'll betray us when it's done. It's in her nature."

DM: "There's a reason they call it a web of lies."

Tati: I lean against him. "It's been too big a week. First the Tarrasque, now this. I'm just feeling a bit disaster-ed out."

DM: He pulls you close and holds you gently in his arms. "No more disasters right now, then. Let's not think about it for a bit. Would you like an ice cream?"

Tati: "I'm not sure I'll be able to stop thinking about it for a while yet, but... yeah. I'd love an ice cream."

Fuck OFF with hogwarts AUs for different shows. It’s overused and and cheesy.

Instead of Hogwarts houses, why don’t you assign characters different PJO Godly parents? Or Grishaverse Grisha types??? Or what TMA fear entity they would be an avatar of???? There are so many types of sorting, with much cooler backgrounds.

I personally think that these characters would specifically be:

Izuku Midoriya: Child of Athena, no doubt. Probably either an Avatar of the Lonely (pre-season one)(season six) or the Eye.

Melanie King is a Heartrender Grisha, and a Child of either Ares or Hermes.

Mina Ashido is 100% a Daughter of Aphrodite, and either a Tailor or a Tidemaker. She would probably be an avatar of the Vast or the Corruption.

Kaz Brekker is a either child of Hermes or Athena, and an Avatar of the Web

Nina Zenik is a daughter of Aphrodite, and and Avatar of the Flesh or the End

Nico Di Angelo is a corpsewitch, and either an avatar of the End, Dark, or Lonely

The Hunters of Artemis are avatars of the Hunt (duh), with Thalia being a squaller and Bianca being either a corpsewitch or a heartrender

Percy Jackson is an avatar of the Vast and a tidemaker, and Annabeth is an avatar of the Eye or the Web, as well as an Alkemi

It was no secret that gareth had a favourite sister out of his 3 sisters, (name) was gareth's favourite because they had so much in common and because they were around the same age. When (name) was born gareth swore to protect his sister from bullies when they were growing up, Of course he cared about Hollie (younger sister) and amanda (older sister) but something was special about (name). He adored the smile on her face whenever he came to pick him up in his car after school or when they were going to a diner and they have milkshakes all other their face, laughing about stuff they were talking about.

When gareth got into high school he started to get bullied for being weird or not doing the popular kids homework even though he didn’t do homework himself, and of course again he vowed that when you get into high school that you would have a better experience because he’s that type of brother. 

When (name) did get into highschool gareth was always with her, and when he joined hellfire and became friends with eddie they bother said that they would never let you experience the same experience as they did, But what (name didn’t tell her brothers (+eddie) that she was getting bullied because she hanged out with the “freaks” and she started to get called that whenever she walked past some people in the hallway. Eventually gareth and eddie find out and threaten the shit out of everybody that said freak to you.

You had a nickname for everybody Eddie’s was Eds gareth’s was Thumper (from bambi because (name) made him watch it with her) But gareth didn’t have a nickname for you, he only had a shorter version of your name and that’s it, but he wanted to give you a special nickname. Like how you gave him a special nickname, so he started testing some nicknames.

Cupcake? no that was to cheesy babydoll? Hell no it's not the 60s, as he was thinking while walking with you near lovers lake there was a beautiful butterfly flying around. He saw it “dance” it the sky with it’s orange and yellow body, as he was looking at it it came down and landed on (names) nose the wings fluttering open and close that’s when gareth had the perfect nickname for (name) it was

As he said that in his head it matched up with (name) so perfectly. She would dance in the backyard kina like how the butterfly was “dancing” in the sky, the way her hair would flick up as she jumped just like the butterfly’s wings fluttering in and out. 

As they were walking back to gareth’s van (i know this man has a van instead of a car ) (name) was talking about how she wanted to be on the cheerleading team and wanting to be like chrissy cunningham but gareth always told (name) that she is better being herself then chrissy. That was almost 3 years ago when gareth started calling (name) butterfly and hasn’t said her real name in years just like she did with his nickname.

Changing shapes

Here is the rendered version of my Valentine's portrait! This is my dnd character Seraph with her boyfriend Alwel. I'm really happy with how it came out, though I'm still working out how to paint metallic skin. I'm not super happy with Alwel's face but I really like Seraph's feathers this time. I thought about doing a simple background wash but was happy with it as is.

Seraph is a wild magic sorcerer whose magic is all sunlight-themed - she is also a cleric of the sun god Pelor. She loves fruit and being outside and singing, and helped fund an orphanage after a major disaster since she grew up on the streets and doesn't want that for other kids. Alwel is a prince of the Feywild but has rejected his heritage because his archfey parents suck so much. He worships the nature goddess Melora and hunts down mindflayers and other aberrations with his own adventuring party.
