Summary: While Bells Hells is separated, Dorian and the rest of the Crown Keepers find their way to one half of the group. He is devastated to hear that Orym isn't with them and hasn't been for weeks. Thousands of miles away, Orym hears from Imogen of Dorian's arrival after silence from the inert sending stone he still holds, hoping it will work again. The longing and the pain is there, but they continue to move closer to each other. Eventually growing nearer with each step they take.

Fic Preview “Dorian?” After weeks spent traveling to a place none of them knew because of a rumor, the relief of hearing Fearne's voice calling his name almost caused him to collapse on the spot. “Dorian! Is that you?”

“Fearne!”

The swirl of Fearne’s dress and hair filled his vision when he turned, giving him just enough time to prepare for impact. He leaned into the familiar warmth of Fearne wrapped around him for a hug that smelled of poisonously sweet flowers and ash. After taking a few seconds to enjoy it, he lifted his head from being buried in Fearne's hair to look over her shoulder. A few feet away Imogen, Chetney and FCG waited patiently for them to have their moment together. The fact three people he expected to see with them were missing immediately caused his heart to plummet.

Pulling back from Fearne enough to see her face, it still took him a second longer to get the words out of his mouth. “Where is everyone? Where's Orym?”

Kjell (half-elf barbarian): I call Maria on the Sending Stone. Maria, are you there?

DM: You wait about thirty seconds.

Kjell: After ten seconds I say, We found the Tarrasque.

DM: *instantly* "You've what?"

Kjell: Yeah, thought that'd get your attention...

DM: "Where are you?"

Una (genasi artificer): The Crownkeeper's lodge? It's underneath that.

DM: "The Tarrasque is in the Red Mountain?"

Una: Yeah.

Kjell: Along with a proto-Tarrasque and a centipede Tarrasque.

Seraph (siren sorcerer): Don't forget the fifty smaller experiment Tarrasques.

Kjell: They're all asleep.

Billie (gnome ardent): Except for the one with Far Realm blood, but it seems to be contained.

DM: There's a stunned silence.

Una: Is this a good enough emergency to call you with?

DM: She says slowly, "Yes, Una. This sounds like an emergency."

Card number three goes to some special items that the party has been using for a long time now These are powerful Sending Stones that can be used as many times as they need, so long as each of them are attuned to them. They were gifted to the party after rescuing the Emperor's daughter when the Shiny Hunters got her. The city itself has patron legendaries and they follow the Forces of Nature Thundurus, Landorus, and Tornadus, hence why each sending stone has one of their tails on it

I would like to immediately clarify that I am so sure Dorian is fine, however I absolutely had some angst-ridden fun with the idea that Dorian could've died with the sending stone in his hand just like Orym did a couple years ago

The idea that Thanos/the Other tortured Loki before sending him for the invasion in Avengers 1 is actually so funny. You... damaged your own goods and sent him out for a mission? You... hurt him so bad he’s stumbling and holding his back and expect him to win??

Do you have any advice for getting rid of these pesky paladins? They keep coming into my lair and un-damming my death raven, it's getting really annoying for the both of us and they also keep trying to "save" me, when I make it very obvious I like being dammed.

Any advice?

Tati (playing Seraph): *hesitant* I absolutely agree that we have all the evidence we need. But if they're not going to wake up and be a problem for another thousand years, Maria will cut us off.

Hamish: Will she?

Tati: She said, and I quote, "If you abuse the Sending Stone I will not hesitate to destroy it."

Hamish: *exasperated* This is not abusing it!

DM: Look, I think I oversold Maria's goodbye. She's still happy to be friends, she just wants to live as if she's level 4. She's tired.

Adam (playing Billie): I asked if I could still call to catch up as long as I wasn't asking Maria for help, and that's when she threatened to destroy the Stone.

DM: Okay, that was a mistake. I just wanted to take away the deus ex machina. She can't be there as an option any time you want help.

Hamish: Has she ever actually done anything for us?

Tati: No. She's advised us a few times, but she's never actually helped. She just whines about how much we ask her stuff.

DM: You can still be friends with her. Just no big adventurer stuff. She wants you to forget she's high level.

Hamish: Either way, this is definitely within the realm of 'world is ending' stuff she said we were still allowed to call her in for.

Marijn (playing Godric): Let's sleep on it.

Hamish: *sighs*
