random, but, I'm wondering... right before the ace initiated hug in the finale? when he comes out of the freezer and hops down the steps like a goofy toddler without a care in the world? he's holding a clipboard... are we to assume he was doing some inventory before they leave the (currently closed during transition of ownership?) claw for the last time? of course always remembering that he doesn't work there anymore? I'm confused but delighted, somehow
Like a goofy toddler whose only goal is to hug the woman he loves and bury his nose in her hair??? Yes, I'm familiar with the moment.
And yeah, I think it's just that! Nancy taking off her name on the locker, Bess cleaning up glasses from the dining room/bar, Ace doing inventory in his happy place, George cleaning out the office, Nick in the kitchen.
Our little crew coming together for one last mini-shift at the Claw before they say goodbye and hand it over to the new owner 😭🥹

what a lot of people don't understand is that linkin park is about doing something different. that's what they've ALWAYS been about. even if people didn't like it. the thrill of doing something new and innovative has never scared them, even if it came at the expense of a few naysayers and elitists within the fanbase.
that's why choosing emily as the new singer just makes sooo much sense to me. they didn't want to replicate their old sound. they didn't want someone to try to be a carbon copy of someone whose shoes were too big to fill anyway.
they wanted something new. different. revolutionary. and i have a feeling that's what this new era will be.
