Weekly Leilana sketch- Fixing Frobo
It's the day the Amphibia art book releases and to celebrate I have this crossover pic (is it a crossover if the other character is an oc?). Leilana seems to have crashed on Amphibia, after being sucked into a wormhole sending her back in time to when Polly was still around (Leilana is from 30XX) and to convince her to help find the ship, Leilana is fixing Frobo with her knowledge of future robotics.

Imo "fixing frobo" should have been a marcanne episode. You may wonder how, and, well, you see, it's very obvious in my brain. Because Polly is working really hard to get someone she loves back, and she feels like no one cares, like they all just want to "wait until Amphibia" and forget about Frobo. And there you have Anne, insisting on waiting. Polly has some killer lines like "after all the work I've done, after how much I've missed him, you three wanna leave him dead?" and "I ain't waiting another second to see my best friend again" and "I was so impatient with bringing him back to life that I killed him all over again" and I just know that'sssssss when Anne had to put a hand on her shoulder and tell her she knows what it feels. Or something. Add some context by scattering some Marcy references around the first scenes of the episode (a little flashback, some random thing she forgot at Anne's house that made Anne think of her etc) and close it off by having Anne, idk, look at old photos at the end. Polly learning to be patient because rushing to fix Frobo would only make it worse seems like a perfect set up for a paralel to Anne having to slow down if she wants to save Marcy.
Like idk it just feels like a string of events that would have made Anne think "mmmm why does this situation feel so familiar"
#i cant believe fucking frobo got me the ''i know you're still in there!'' treatment and marcy didn't 😭#what were they thinking 😭#full with emotive flashbacks and all

Amphibia AU where Anne notices Andrias attempting to attack Marcy, her powers flare back up long enough her to push Marcy out of the way and into the portal, taking the blow for her while Marcy and the Plantars are warped back to Los Angeles.
• Before the portal warps Marcy back instead of the "I-I'm sorry... for everything." that Marcy gives, Anne tries to comfort Marcy, saying "D-Don't worry, M-Mar-Mar... I probably w-would have done the s-same if I had to be separated from y-y-you and Sash...".
• While back in Willow Brooke, Marcy can't bare to confront her parents so she decides to stay with the Boonchuys. Obviously, after she explains why she ran away and her need to get everyone back home, they let her and the Plantars stay as long as they need. Marcy tells them about Amphibia but, like Anne, leaves out the parts about the evil king....... and the fact that she saw their daughter get stabbed through the torso and possibly die... instead she lies that Anne is still perfectly fine back in Wartwood.
• Marcy is more angsty about this whole thing than Anne appeared to be in canon. Made even worse by the fact that every time she sees the people she now lives with, she is reminded that her cowardice cost them the most important person in their families. She also finds being the only one of her friends to make it back to the place that she tried so hard to run away from as a form of twisted irony. A cosmic punishment for tampering with a mystical artifact that was far beyond her understanding, leading to her friends and their loved ones paying the price for it.
•A lot of the same plot beats still happen such as Fight at the Museum, Fixing Frobo, If You Give A Frog A Cookie, and Mr. X but episodes such as Thai Feud and Temple Frogs don't due to Marcy obviously not having the same familial bonds as Anne and Adventures in Catsitting due to The Boonchuys being unable to schedule a dentist's appointment for a child that is not under their legal guardianship.
• Marcy wears her blue Newtopian cloak even with her casual clothing just in case she sees her parents and needs to hide her face from them under her hood so they don't recognize her. (There is a running gag through season 3 where she has to make sure she doesn't stand under any sprinklers in case her cloak spontaneously combusts.)
• Back in Amphibia, The Core, now no longer having Marcy, decides to take Anne. Now calling themself Dianne, they use Anne not for her mind... but instead for her power and to use it for it's namesake.............. to bring about Calamity.
• Andrias still sends out the Assassin bot to Willow Brooke to kill Marcy and the Plantars in order to tie up any loose ends in his plans.
• Marcy's Calamity powers awaken while protecting the Plantars in the Supermarket and finds that her powers allow her to use magic though the use of any staff-like object. In this case, a metal pipe in the storage freezer that she was going to use to bash in the robot's head, and summons a blast of energy that sends the Assassin bot packing. Marcy later buys a foldable walking staff from a drug store and carries it around in her satchel in case of "Magical Girl emergencies" as she calls them. (Her powers are an homage to Matt's original idea for Marcy to be a sorceress.)
• In this version of Anne-sterminator, it's laundry day and since Marcy can't go back to her house to grab clean clothes, she has to wear some of Anne's, namely her iconic St. James Middle School uniform. When the Assassin bot comes to kill Marcy, it sees Marcy in Anne's clothes and gets confused allowing everyone time to escape. In the junkyard, Marcy whips out her staff and uses her Calamity powers to cast an Anti-gravity spell on the Assassin bot, launching it into orbit where it's bomb detonates. Marcy finally has to come clean about Andrias and what happened to Anne. While the Boonchuys are devastated about Anne, they know that Anne would have wanted to get the Plantars and Sasha back home and use that as motivation to keep going.
• While in The Core, Anne's Fantasy world is one where Amphibia and Earth are merged into one. (A tongue in cheek mocking of Star vs' ending) She gets sus when she notices everyone acting off. When Anne calls bull on the whole thing, The Core leaves her in the darkness with only the light of her phone containing her real memories to keep her company.
• During The Core's invasion, Dianne uses Anne's Calamity powers in their fight against Sasha making it far more of a brutal beat-down than a proper 1v1. When Grime sacrifices himself, it causes Sasha's Calamity powers to awaken, making it a fair fight.
• While battling Andrias, when Marcy starts running low on Calamity juice, Andrias starts mocking her. Telling her that "If she wants to, he'll gladly let her use the music box to take her to another world where she can run away from her problems.... again." and this, along with the Boonchuys playing "As If It's Your Last" by Blackpink over the city's loudspeakers to remind Marcy that she's doing all this for Anne leads to an epic tear filled "I'm... Done... Running..." as she twirls her staff around, her powers flare back up, and she gets her second wind.

Speaking of Marcy’s approach to Amphibias politics, she’s probably the most competent person in the newtopian government(fixing the sewer system, rescuing civilians, supporting farmers, and is down for societal reforms)
Ah the only shitty politics I'll ever talk about on this blog ✨racist newts✨
Speaking of newt politics...

Idk it's just...vague what Marcy exactly thinks of the system itself I just feel like I can't make a direct call on this, it's so left out open ended in the journal too. Plus all with how she values farmers as underappreciated backbones of society
I agree Marcy is the only competent person with a braincell in this government. I doubt how much she involves in them at all though. Surely theme song takeover shows she even writes royal verdicts while Andrias snoozes and all that
In tc her response to the toad rebellion is to 'redesign the political system' and make sure 'this kind of uprising never happens again.' Her first instinct is the approach she took for Wartwood, changing the political system overnight like fixing sewers, part of me wonders Marcy even has a clue why the rebellion happened to begin with. She doesn't know Andrias purposefully made things this way, she knows what Andrias lets her see. She has faith she talk him out of changing things.
Yet somehow there's still the ranger oath that tells her a newt's life should matter above the rest—

Should've been her first red flag if I were honest. She knows casteism exist she doesn't understand the problems of it bc the newts don't make it out to be. Let's admit, she's 13 freaking years old. The journal also shows she was actively being kept away from learning truths.
Toad to Redemption is one episode that talks about the oppression on toads by Newtopian authorities, and my biggest focus here that Marcy is still in Wartwood while this happens. Coincidentally, she's purposefully made busy in an outhouse with Frobo for this very episode. This is one of the weirdest things to me bc it's like the show itself is trying to keep her in the dark and short-sighted. Keep her from having reasons to question her faith in Andrias.
She has been limited to the ruling class view in this new world. And that makes sense because it was one of the things that could perhaps bring her to disagree with the King, had she seen the other side of the story.
#not my best explanation but i think i made my best attempt idk#it's... complicated#struggled to find the oath screenshot so much lol but I knew i remembered it correctly#amphibia#marcy wu#andrias leviathan#marcy's journal#amphibia politics#character analysis

Amphibia season 3 rewrite
New Normal: Mostly the same, just replace the quarantine song with a scene that involve Anne and Sprig reflecting on True Colors
Turning Point (22 min): Don’t hammer it in our faces every 30 seconds that Sasha feels remorse, we can clearly see she does. Also make Wartwood more distrusting
Adventures In Catsitting/Croak of Duty (Im not sorry): Sasha and the Wartwood resistance bond building and trust gaining lets goooo
Fight at the Museum/Temple Frogs: Integrate Dr. Jan telling Anne and the plantars about the vase into the ending of the former episode
Sprigs Birthday/Below Battle Grounds
Below Battle Grounds: Sasha and Grime discover the Plantars’ basement and try to convince Wartwood to go through with this change
Fixing Frobo/Anne-Sterminator: Nothing changes in Fixing Frobo. Anne Sterminator, simply have her opening up to her parents about everything (The opening or Mr. X mentioned she did, but I would’ve liked to see it)
Confronting Old Warts/Olivia and Yunnan:
Confronting Old Warts: Sasha backstory, we cry, and this is when she gets her new look
Toad out of the Bag/If You Give A Frog a Cookie:
Toad out of the Bag: News has spread of Anne’s return to her friends’ parents and they got questions
Froggy Little Christmas: Andrias sends Darcy out for a test drive on Earth, messing up Anne’s Christmas plans for her mom. Towards the end, they send out that Anne, The Plantars, and her parents defeat. They then go home happily, but then see Darcy lounging on a chair in the kitchen. They give a sinister “Hi Aaaaaaaaaannnnneee”, the screen cuts to everyone’s’ horrified faces and the screen goes black
Escape to Amphibia: Anne and the Plantars prepare to return to Amphibia, qnd in the process Anne and Darcy duke it out (Darcy unfortunately gets away). The rest of the episode is essentially just a more abridged version of ETA
Commander Anne/Sasha’s Angels:
Commander Anne: Anne is conflicted: she’s very happy Sasha’s alive and has been able to manage, but remains very suspicious. They both also express far more concern over Marcy.
Sasha’s Angels: Their argument gets more focus, and throughout the episode, Darcy (With a slightly weakened connection due to the fight. Here there’s no wire BS) lurks, planning their next move. Anne and Sasha have the conversation they had in the actual episode, but then a drone with a large trap swoops in and grabs the 2 girls. Mrs. Croaker, Maddie, Toadie, and Loggle try to save them but to no avail.
The drone lands at Andrias’s throne room, and Darcy comes out.
Darcy Strikes Back!: Anne vs Darcy Electric Boogaloo, this time with Sasha.
Marcy is saved, yaaaayyyy-
The Core, with the remains of stone power it got through possessing Marcy, is able to take on a new shadow form.
Olm Town Road/Mother of Olms:
Olm Town Road: Things are AWKWAAAARRD between the girls
The themes of second chances in this episode are primarily used for Sasha and Marcy. The latter is wracked with guilt over what she did, and the former emphasized and wants to help, but has her own feelings of bitterness and lingering resentment. In the end the 2 manage to help each other.
Mission: Cloak!/Down by the Bog
Mission Cloak: Resistance mission involving Cloak Bots. We explore more of S and M’s dynamic without Anne, M&M, plus flesh out the newt wives.
Down by the Bog: Grime is emo and not happi. Sprig’s like “Suck it up man” and we get a backstory of how Grime lost his eye.
The Core and The King: Expand on what the actual episode showed us.
The Beginning of the End: The girls begin to wonder if their friendship can truly be saved, but Saving the world’s far more important
All In: Mostly the same, Marcy just has much more of a role
Hardest Thing: Mostly the same

Thank you for defending Amphibia S3A!!! You don't know how many times I've had to read people saying that Anne should've had an angst arc like Luz did in TOH over what happened in True Colors. That kind of take completely ignores that a.) Anne is her own character who responds to things differently (by compartmentalizing and trying to fix what she can), b.) Amphibia was trying to preserve its essential Amphibia-ness and not become a dreary angst-fest, and c.) Luz's arc wasn't even good lol so why compare it to that? I think there are a couple story things that could've been streamlined in 3A but overall it is a perfectly good entry into Amphibia canon and it wasn't "filler" or "pointless" by any means. (P.S. I would love to hear your thoughts on Commander Anne since I also think that's a really strong episode!)🦎
Send me another ask about Commander Anne because that is one of the episode fragments in Amphibia actually dense enough for me to talk about on its own. For now, I'm actually carjacking this ask to talk about trauma reaction in fiction using Anne, Sasha, HOP POP and Luz with Hop Pop and Luz being the extremes you need to avoid and then talking about both where Anne falls and why she's so good.
Though with any discussion of this, I do actually just want to quickly mention that I did a whole teaching blog a good long while back about Fantasy Trauma and why Luz's just plain sucks. I'm not going to talk about the event here but more the reaction but I still think it's worth mentioning that fantasy trauma like what happens to these characters is a trope in and of itself.
Also, welcome Amphibia fans, I like to use asks as a way to teach and your show lets me be POSITIVE while teaching for once which is a nice change of pace... But let's start with the bad.
Or let's start with some defining. See whenever you have a major event happen in your story, there's a pendulum of reaction. On both ends of the pendulum, you have equally bad reactions to it but in different ways. Those ends where either:
A: You don't react at all. Despite the fact that the event should have had an effect on you, you're seeming to be mostly fine and yourself. It often can make the character come off as callous or stunted in some way if they just don't even seem to be needing to cope with it in someway. Stuff like Sprig focusing on being a part of the family and Polly focusing on Frobo stop them from quite getting to this extreme because they're more genuinely interacting with the new world they're in and their problems. Hop Pop is the problem one here but we'll get to it.
B: You ONLY react to the ONE event. The rest of the story and your character DON'T MATTER now. You are only your angst arc. This actually works well for VILLAINS because the single minded obsession and refusal of logic is actually usually useful for justifying them going to such extremes. The problem comes when a character should theoretically know better, the level of reaction is unwarranted or you can point out that they're just wangsting (whine/angsting) because they have sunshine and rainbows around them they're blatantly ignoring. This is Luz's side of the problem.
This is technically an Amphibia ask though so let's start with Hop Pop. For some very, very minor proof I'm not a contrarian: Hollywood Hop Pop is easily the worst half episode in S3A. There's something to be said about there being about two episodes before the mid-season finale that are kind of janky. The problem isn't just with Hollywood Hop Pop.
Hop Pop has a lot of internal issues with danger, change and worry. A new world should panic him in some way. This is actually the greatest sin of Hollywood Hop Pop because the lesson from that one feels at best like an over correction to... The majority of S2A's characterization of Hop Pop. Similarly goes to him just enjoying being a house guest. Even if yes, this is his adopted daughter, he should have an episode segment dedicated to being worried about the new world they're in, trying to protect Polly and Spring, etc. like that, especially since his old world just turned inside out. SOME sort of reaction would be warranted... And we don't get it.
Instead we get him being overly trusting and thus getting scammed, his stuff about making the Boonchuys hating him is good but it's entirely disconnected from the trauma you would expect of the character and then he honestly takes the BIGGEST risk of them all, even using his actual name instead of a codename like Sprig does for Spider Sprig.
It genuinely feels like he is treating coming here like a vacation, not helped by that explicitly being a part of one of his episode segments and that's bad.
So what's the good version of this side of the pendulum? Well, if this side represents underselling the reaction to trauma, the good version is subtlety and that's what we get with Anne and it's done really well. It mostly is in the first couple episodes in S3A when the wounds are most fresh which makes sense. As she processes it privately, she can return more and more to who she was.
The biggest thing here is that Anne is overloading herself. She is burning out from the second Andrias stabs Marcy. Not even once she's home, but even by the final trauma having just been overloaded. She's 13 after all. 15 if you want to go off of what seems to have been the original intent for her and the rumors that Disney forced the trio to be younger.
A 13 year old CAN handle death. They CAN'T handle seeing one of their BEST FRIENDS die and the other one likely doing so too, let alone right after she assumed her third best friend also died, even if he didn't. True Colors is a TIME for Anne. Anne is a very simple girl after all. Stakes like these are not what she is capable of even processing at that point. She's never seen anything that bad.
And her trying to recap and summarize it shows it EXPERTLY. Even trying to actually think about what just happened tires her out and has her constantly having to correct herself because she doesn't want to admit that not only is she powerless, it's also too much for her to handle on her own. And that's WITHOUT acknowledging the high probability of her friends being dead, something that was on her mind since her reaction to seeing Sasha is disbelief/relief that she's ALIVE.
Then there's the other elements where Anne is the one pushing research the hardest, the fact that she's brushing other things off to find answers that will make her less powerless, her protectiveness of those around her and then yeah, the one episode segment that has her burnt out and dead tired because she's working herself to the bone.
And this is all in character with Anne's arc. She's grown to do things. To want to help. To not just coast through life and just as she was getting used to the idea of that... She now can't do anything. So we see her doing what she can which is just not a lot.
Alright, let's move on to the other side of the pendulum though. I often talk about Luz in the second half of The Owl House as "In her angst arc" because that's how it feels. She may as well have put on a dark brown hoodie, flattened her hair and declared everything sucked. None of her optimism, none of her enthusiasm, little of her care and complete distrust of EVERYONE.
OH WAIT THEY DID THAT! They made her as close to her BETA design for S3 Ep1 as possible to finish out that miserable attitude for her. And I'm not going to say all of it is unwarranted. Just like Hop Pop caring about being a good house guest is in character, Luz getting more serious to match the stakes of the show is theoretically a good thing. It needed more of a real transition (Hi Commander Anne as a good example of this) but there is a nugget of a good concept in it.
One that's stabbed repeatedly by never letting it end or be affected by anything. Stuff she'll say to Eda and King she will act like will kill her if she tells literally anyone else no matter how much more justified it is for her to be honest to them, she CONSTANTLY lies to the point where she breaks her word several times and part of why Amity theoretically likes her is just GONE and then we get the theoretical conclusion to it which is "I want to be understood."
When the fuck haven't you been? This is the true crime of this side of the pendulum. Part of the reaction requires the character to entirely forget and actively ignore the actions around her. Those friends who have constantly forgiven you and backed you up? Didn't understand. That supposed found family who constantly told you you weren't at fault and to take care of yourself? Didn't understand. Your mom, who supported your interested until you backed her into a corner by accidentally assaulting people, including your principal, with wild animals? Never. Understood. You.
And even then, she still doesn't break out of it after the first TWO times in S3 where she is forgiven and she makes a statement about moving on. She just throws a dreamstate pity party and doubts herself until GOD tells her she has never done anything wrong in her life.
It's too long, the resolutions are too contrite or eye rolling for the amount of time and pain spent with it and they also rarely have anything to actually do with the trauma itself. It feels like the character is reacting to something BAD rather than something SPECIFIC which robs it of its bite just as badly as not reacting to it at all. And that's if it even feels like the character and Luz in the second half of TOH, especially S3, just doesn't feel like Luz. Period.
You know who does feel like herself? Sasha. By the time S3B comes around, she's had to deal with too much to really still be dealing with the trauma (and she still is to some extent with her constantly worrying about her relationship with Anne, obsession with second chances, etc. like that but that's more rounding out her arc to me) so it's really just her one segment in S3A that needs to be examined.
Except we actually have to roll back first. All the way back to Reunion. Sasha's reaction to this all starts with the end of Reunion. That moment when, just for a second, she decides Anne is worth more than herself. That "maybe you'd be better off without me," and letting go. S2 handles the fact that Sasha dying actually made a REALLY bad inner conflict for her, let alone once news of Marcy being fine without her too got to her, but that's the fun of character arcs. They SHOULDN'T be a smooth curve. *coughs at Amity and Hunter*
Keeping on track though, we have Sasha not only facing the end of her at her most powerful but also the potential end of her friendships. She betrayed Anne again and while they fought together, that was for survival, where are they now? Worse yet, Marcy almost died in front of her and she was POWERLESS. All that talk of trying to do things so they all could be happy, that she knew best... It was all ash.
So she at first doesn't know what she's doing. She emotional and ready to lash out but she doesn't know what her target is. She just knows part of it is her fault and unlike in S2, she can't ignore it now. It haunts her until Anne shows Sasha what having been a good friend could have gotten her. What they could have been.
And so now, it's time to make good on her word. To become a protector and try to see a bit more in people than she assumes. This is ALL a reaction to True Colors primarily. It is addressing it all VERY bluntly minus Marcy's lie (I have complicated feelings on Marcy at this point) but it's still working within the frame of the character. This is still Sasha and we know enough about her to genuinely follow her train of thought while also getting to enjoy the character we have grown attached to. She isn't gone... But she's changing and if this side of the pendulum represents replacement as its bad extreme, change and introspection like what Sasha goes through is the good medium ground.
I want to finish this by saying that you CAN use the extremes well. Someone reacting to a teammate's death with indifference can genuinely turn a character who seemed a little cold to being seen as callous or like they believe the ends justify the means, no matter the sacrifice. Someone letting an event consume them can actually be a great start to an arc where the point is to criticize their reaction, instead of trying to invoke sympathy through it. That they are going too far and letting this be too much of who they and they need to find balance. They need to properly introspect. These are not hard rules by any means but there is a spectrum. A pendulum.
And as always, the best thing a writer can do is recognize where on that pendulum they're writing and use it as best as they can.

Amphibia AU
I'm gonna write about some of the ideas I thought up for this, and what generally happens plot-wise so I have somewhere to point to in case anypony asks what the deal is with these drawings I've been making. It'll be a big text wall, so, be warned:
The divergence point happens in season 3 (with maybe the exception of True Colors and Marcy not being stabbed, instead she's incapacitated in some other way), with Anne spending more time working with the resistance against Andrias. She meets with Mother Olm and gets guidance/training on better harnessing her calamity powers (the mossmen are hiding with the Olms and they help Anne out on this).
Some time after, there's a full battle between the resistance and Andrias + Frobos. This is it, a final push to save Amphibia, Anne's throwing hands with Andrias, everyone's giving it their all. But, in the thick of battle, Darcy shows up; she says that Andrias is a failure, and that from here on out, she'll be assuming direct control. The red moon opens its eyes. The Core's cambrian robots swarm the landscape, forcing the resistance to retreat. Andrias chases after Darcy.
Meanwhile, Marcy, partially amnesiac, is exploring the mental palace of the Core, interacting with its various personalities. She picks up on the situation outside from what she can gleam of far-away discussions. She finds out that several members of ancient newtopian royalty are leaving the Core to inhabit drone bodies of their own, claiming things like "an alien infant's body is a disgraceful host for someone as noble as me!" Those very same drones are summarily destroyed by the resistance.
Marcy realizes that she could use the same process to transfer herself into a small scouting drone to aid her friends on defeating the Core; though not without notice from the Core itself, which allows her to do so in order to get a fix on the resistance's location.
On the resistance's side, they stumble into Andrias and what remains of the Frobo army, still under his direct command. He's battered and injured, but after an initial scuffle he joins their ranks. A while later, Drone!Marcy finds them. The Core has them captured soon after that.
A great fight breaks out, but the girls are captured while the resistance scatters. Taken to the castle, they manage to break free, and rescue Marcy as well! But as they escape, Marcy catches a glimpse of herself in a tank. Unsure if she's the real Marcy or some kind of clone decoy, she joins the resistance, now regrouped on the remains of Toad Tower.
Now with (a still injured from True Colors) Marcy, the trio decides to pay a second visit to Mother Olm, to treat Marcy's injuries, and to confirm if she really is the real Marcy (she is, obviously). Now, all 3 girls can tap into their calamity powers! And right on time, because they'll need it.
The Core really starts to feel the heat around this point. Many former newtopian nobles went and blew themselves up thinking they were so much better than the resistance, those that remain understand that they're going to lose if this keeps up. Hell, they lost Marcy, and with all 3 girls under the Olms' guidance, they're starting to siphon away power from the music box! At this rate, they'll win without having to lift a finger!
In this desperation, the Core decides to let go of everything it once stood for, and for the sake of survival it merges all its personalities into one terrifyingly powerful intelligence. With the clone of Marcy primed and ready, this "Darcy Prime" recalls all the cambrian drones. The castle rises higher and higher into the sky. In this silence, the resistance finds out Darcy's final gambit: To use the Calamity Box to phase the Core moon out of Amphibia's universe and into Earth's.
Thanks to the girls siphoning power out of the box, the process is slowed, but not halted. They make their way to the castle while most of the resistance helps the population deal with the natural disasters that the moon's phasing is causing. There, the trio (+ Andrias & Frobots, for dealing with the drones) makes its final stand against Darcy.
The girls manage to overwhelm and defeat Darcy with a combined attack, and in stopping the teleportation sequence in the middle, the moon is in neither universe, and phases out of existence completely.
The girls safely retrieve the magic box, now sworn to be protected and never used for evil. The girls leave Amphibia, with a chance to return if they ever choose to, and hailed as heroes.
In broad strokes, that's it! That's the general outline for this AU that I made up, prone to change of course.
Told you it was a text wall...

It's a tragedy that Anne didn’t get to be a farmer…

Premise:
While Sasha went from gladiator to lieutenant and Marcy flip flopped from royal advisor to nautical researcher on a whim, Anne was a farmer in a small frog town.
She can’t leave yet. No one in town, much less the Plantars, have the funds to pay the Toad Toll required to cross through the southern mountain range.
While in Wartwood, Anne would have to learn to survive. She can’t eat most food the locals enjoy, she doesn’t have their natural and nurtured advantages, and is left alone for months at a time as she is the only one in town conscious after the first snowfall.
During her first few months, she fixes up the three greenhouses as discipline from Hop Pop, including a flooded and ruined one connected to the basement down by the water. This one, she decides to keep the shallow water and few giant lily pads within, using it as her bedroom as she sleeps on the lily pads and plants harmless aquatic plants and keeps small fish.
The others, she uses to grow plants that she can eat through the year. The furthest from the house holds tomato and avocado plants, near harmless to her as a human but expensive luxury items in Amphibia.
Design:
Anne’s hair grows longer as she gets thinner and slightly taller from her time malnourished in Amphibia, she ties her hair back in a low ponytail to keep it out of her face.
Instead of a hat, she wears a makeshift one out of a lily pad, earning her many nicknames ‘Lily’ and ‘Lilyanne’ being the kindest.
After she gives up on her school uniform and shoes, she wears a button up and overalls, buttoned up shorter due to her functionality in her bedroom. She forgoes shoes for the most part, having grown used to it, only having a pair of boots for when she needs them. Over time, her clothes have been ripped by the hostile environment and she patches them up using her old school uniform.
Ok Design Process:
I wanted Anne to have a hobbitcore feeling but overall more swampy. The silhouette of her pants came from that as most images had women in skirts.
As for colors- blue. Either the overalls are dark/medium blue and the patches are purple plaid or they are neutral colored (since blue is one of the four colors on her school’s symbol and idk why it was purple in the first place) and the patches are blue. The shirt is a white or off white and the lily pad is yellow with blue/purple lilies.
You may have noticed that Anne has a frobo arm in the armored image. It's a possibility. I gave her pauldrons as well just for the sake of slightly more armor.
#Apologies for the state of the paper#My nails are claws#Shhh its texture#4 Stars Au#amphibia fanart#anne boonchuy#farmer anne#Anne needed an Amphibia look that wasn't a school uniform#amphibia

I constantly get dreams of a GF, TOH and Amphibia Crossover so i'm gonna list all the stuff I remember distinctly from it.
Part 1 The Crossover was mostly Hexsquad (Luz bringing the portal door with her, and Odalia carving a small bug palisman to spy on Amity secretly following and listening on everything) and The Calamity Trio heading to Gravity Falls for a fun trip taking place after the Amphibia Timeskip The Pines Family are mostly grown up (Except the Stans who accidentally touched a magic artifact that made them 20 years older) and uh... Waddles lived his full life Dipper and Mabel discussed about waiting till they were old enough to go their seperate ways only for that to backfire and them still being together Dipper had a makeshift plasma gun that still had a missing part and a small dagger in case he needs to resort to melee Mabel... Kept her old Grappling Hook and it still works Pines Family have a family trip to the Alien Crashsite to get the last piece to finish dipper's plasma gun (with Hexsquad and Calamity Trio trailing behind curious about what they're doing) Suddenly Stan holds the other pines Hostage and Bill's shown to be living in Stan's Head.. and the hostage situation didnt last long after Willow restrained him and finally the 3 groups meet so back at the Shack Bill loses control and Stan is back and they still need to find a solution. till realising they could put a metal plate (a spare one for Ford) in Stan's head since it worked well for ford, but they'd need magic to implement it Which Luz calls up but during the process they need someone to hold bill down in the Mindscape But they still need someone outside to keep an eye on everyone Ford decides on Mabel coming with him to the Mindscape with Dipper being Fine with the plan So while Mabel and Ford deal with Bill, Dipper decides to give them all a trip around the shack, where Luz and Marcy fall thru loose floorboards into Ford's Lab and Dipper calls Soos to fix the floor while he goes down to help the two Luz and Marcy find DD and more D and join dipper in Playing before Marcy accidentally finds the Infinity Sided die and accidentally rolls it ...and suddenly Sprig, Polly, Hop Pop, and Frobo are transported to the human realm with a set timer before they return to amphibia
In the mindscape Ford and Mabel had a one to one talk, Ford knows Mabel was part of the deal with weirdmageddon because Bill kept talking about it, But Bill ALWAYS assured Ford Mabel was just a pawn and that it was all HIS doing. Ford brung Mabel because he wanted her to have closure against Bill Meanwhile Gus finds Dipper's DVD collection of the Tales of Arcadia Trilogy and Everyone ends up binge watching it while Ford and Mabel lock Bill in the metal plate Part 2
After getting that mess sorted out Hexsquad and The Calamity Trio decide to see more of Gravity Falls and its wonders, but meanwhile Odalia's bug secretly makes its way to a mysterious statue in the woods and makes contact with it, Moving Bill out of the metal plate and into a different mindscape where She makes a Deal with Bill to possess Amity Meanwhile Luz realises that the Tales of Arcadia trilogy felt unfinished so she confronts Dipper about it, He fesses up about rise of the Titans but said that it kills the franchise and he doesnt want to ruin the franchise for them. Now uh... This part is very clunky, forgive me i only really dream the action parts Dipper finally finishes his Dual Plasma guns with Infinite Fuel, With three different modes, Blast, Beam, and Shield only downside is, whenever he fires away he's always knocked back by the recoil.
Meanwhile, Bill takes over Amity's Body in secret and makes their way to Odalia Blight so they can discuss on how to unleash Bill into the 3rd Dimension again, Their plan being to rebuild and reactivate the portal under the shack
Filler and other plot points that makes the other characters Relevant i just cant think of anything rn
After all that succeeds and Weirdmageddon is unleashed ugh... again Luz activates the portal door and evacuates a bunch of people from Gravity Falls and they seek refuge in the boiling isles and need to plan for another Revolution against Bill But... bill is prepared and sits right in front of the shack waiting so while that happens everyone starts planning a bunch of things like a Shacktron 2.0 but made with better parts since Polly and a Few others we're a lot more experienced in that field, some Training with weaponry (and Mabel gets a Mace)
They all end up realising Amity is Missing, Luz decides she'll go find her and when she does she finds out Amity is possessed and tells the rest of the team Dipper suddenly has an idea, tells Mabel to make a sock puppet of Amity and to just put it on the ground, where Amity (Currently in the mindscape) can communicate with everyone since Bill is puppeting her body so, they need to find a way to free amity from the possession permanently
Meanwhile Bill ends up recruiting Terra and Adrian since his Henchmaniacs don't trust him anymore and tasks them to kidnap them all, especiall the Pines Family Everyone Came to the conclusion to Free Amity from the possession they need another Metal Plate, only... they used the last one on stan, Thing is Ford remembers He had a few of them in the old Bunker so Dipper decides he and a few others will go get it and chooses Hunter, Marcy, and Willow to help him, but for them to make it there they need to get past bill, so Gus uses his illusion magic to fool bill into killing the four of them while the real ones ran off to the bunker. Bill is satisfied with "killing" the illusions so he retreats back to the Fearamid since he knows theyre probably gonna be kidnapped When he does everyone starts putting their plans into action and start building a better shacktron while also finding a way to stop bill without the Zodiac Ford realises if the Shack can stop bill from entering then what if they could seal him in to give them more time so tells Dipper Marcy Hunter and Willow about getting the Mercury, Moonstone, and Unicorn Hair so they get all the materials when suddenly.. in the Boiling isles, Terra, Adrian, Odalia and Amity (Being possessed by Bill) raid the Owl House and took almost all of the inhabitants (Except Gus) after the 4 return they see the Shack in Shambles and Find just Gus The Portal Door was ransacked too! So They hatch a plan to get them all back from the Fearamid
Meanwhile Terra suggests that they use the memory tweezers except it doesnt work due to the metal plate Gus will illusion Himself as Dipper and get Odalia, Bill and Terra to chase him, while Hunter lays down the Unicorn Hair outside Willow will deal with Adrian and Amity and subdue both of them while Dipper frees everyone and Marcy preps an Airship as an Escape Vehicle The plan works well and Bill is locked on the top of the fearamid till Dipper realises Ford is missing, turns out he's been taken somewhere else so while Marcy evacuates Everyone (And a Knocked out Amity) Dipper and Hunter go back in to find both the Portal Door and Ford, Dipper finds Ford but Hunter comes by and tells them that Adrian, Odalia, and Terra found them, and they couldnt find the door so they decide that will be something for another day As the three escape Dipper hops off before closing the door behind Hunter and Ford, Tells both of them to get out of there while He deals with the witches meanwhile Amity woke up and got ready to attack till Luz lunged at her and knocked both of them off the airship. Luz fights off Amity and tries to get her to the shack so the possession will wear off meanwhile Dipper is in a stand off with three different witches at once... Next Part coming soon...
