Time’s actually like 32 and is just really committed to the bit of being ancient

Sky is horrific at making new friends. he grew up with the same small group of people, so he never learned how to make friends with complete strangers because there simply wasn’t the need to. so, when he first starts traveling with the chain, he makes little wooden charms for them because he isn’t entirely sure how else to get close with them. Zelda always enjoyed his woodcarvings, so maybe they will too??

as a result, the entire chain has little trinkets made by Sky. on Legend’s bag there’s charms hanging off the straps, and Twilight wears his as necklaces (both because it looks cool as fuck and it helps the shadow crystal stand out less). yes Wind has specifically commissioned him to make something for Aryll

yeah yeah bunny Legend but consider: the mermaid suit (which I like to think is more of a curse bc get fished pink man <3) giving him some marine animal qualities as well. no matter what tho that bitch is an Ariel kinnie, they’re collecting all the shiny shit they can find

the witches in Legend’s era adore him. Grandma Syrup dotes on him, Maple is like a teasing older sister, and Irene is like a teasing younger sister. this is where he learned most of his magic skills from, and he takes all potentially enchanted or cursed items to them to check out. he’ll never admit it, but Legend finds lots of comfort in all of them, as they’re one of the few people who’ve stayed in his life this long.

Wild’s a pretty good medic!! during his adventure, he very quickly realized how dangerous infection is, so they learned about a lot of home remedies and medicinal herbs, as well as how to tend to a wound from other travelers at stables and inns. he didn’t really get a choice in learning, considering how he probably got stung or bit by painful insects or accidentally brushed up against painful plants a lot during the early days of their adventure, and thus showed up to stables covered in rashes and hives and such, causing every decent person in the area to flock to them and try to help. their Hyrule is very sweet, okay?

they’re not the only one who’s well acquainted with medicinal herbs, though! while I think all of them would have a basic understanding, Time, Hyrule, Warriors, and Wind would know a lot. dw i’m elaborating

Time quite literally grew up in the forest, was raised by a tree, and had actual forest spirits for siblings—he knows his plants. he and Saria would peel willow bark and collect dandelions together

I like to think that Hyrule being half-fae makes him very sensitive to all magic-based auras, including that of plants, so they’re very good at picking out the healing herbs, even if they’re not quite sure what they’re called

listen ok hear me out about Warriors. young Time was appalled that he knew jackshit about nature and forcefully taught him. also, before modern medicine, medicinal plants were used all the fucking time on the battle field. yarrow, an herb that stops bleeding and prevents infection, is called soldiers’ woundwort because of this. i mention this because he was probably concerned about the health and safety of his troops, so he learned what the medics were doing and using.

Wind grew up on a small, tight-knit island, realistically they would’ve had to have learned how to use the things around them to their fullest advantage. that being said, his knowledge is sort of useless outside of his own era, aside from what he was taught in the war. ok i’m done talking about medicinal herbs now i promise sorry it’s a hobby of mine ahhsjdka

Legend’s terrified of dogs. in Link’s Awakening, the dogs are literally balls on chains with huge mouths full of sharp teeth (basically just Chain Chomps). if you want to get angsty with it: it comes from guard dogs being sent after him on his first adventure. he became a lot less scared to more he spent time with BowBow (the ball and chain dog) but, when he woke up, he got the belief that he could only be safe around a dog in his dreams. he’s pretty damn uncomfortable around Wolfie at first, but after lots of time and learning to trust Twilight, he’s able to slowly overcome his fear. sort of. mostly just with Wolfie. he still hates staying at stables in Wild’s Hyrule.

if Wild doesn’t want to explain/source something he’ll just say it came to him via divine intervention. Sky believes it every single time

I was thinking about Legend’s story a while ago and realized it was kind of similar to Joan of Arc’s so take that as you will. idk if this even counts as a headcanon but i’m putting it here

Warriors and Twilight are really close friends because they both understand the struggles of wrangling dirt worshipping nature freaks. anytime Twilight (lovingly) complains about Wild, Wars will counter with whatever asinine feral child antics young Time got up to and suddenly Twi will feel very blessed and lucky

whenever Four sees someone with their hair in a high ponytail he subconsciously thinks they’re very smart and respectable because Dot always wears her hair in a high ponytail

Hyrule is completely fine with not sleeping on a bedroll. they like the dirt, actually. let them sleep in the dirt.

Legend uses apples in his red potions, both to increase their potency and to make them taste better. he also learned how to enchant apples to be healing on their own so sometimes when someone’s hurt he’ll just shove an apple in their face

Internet wildin ig) she ignored them while mostly finishing the stuff for the smp, but decided to address it in a very- y/n way. Getting four friends to come to her house and hide slightly off camera while she made a purposefully bad apology video only for them to jump out at the end and her to stand up and be like “YALL REALLY THOUGHT I WAS SOME MASTER MANIPULATOR?! I’M JUST A FUNKY LITTLE CHAOTIC MINECRAFT GOBLIN N’ I’VE BEEN WORKING ON AN SMP THIS WHOLE TIME!! Roaring Rumors

Life was all about sacrifices.

Or, that’s what you keep telling yourself when you’re up at 1AM working on your server. Putting together an SMP is harder than it sounds; texture packs, data packs, comparability, world-building, even the (seemingly) simply act of contacting people to play on it. For the amount of time you spent on your computer, your hands might as well be part of your keyboard.

Sleep wasn’t the only thing you sacrificed. Streaming, even just fun ones with your friends, had quickly became rare. Although you loved to hop on a call while coding still, your online presence had severely receded.

You just keep telling yourself that sacrifices are necessary. That the payoff would be worth it.

And it really would be, but you just had to get there first. Which was proving harder than you had thought.

At the very least, you still had your friends. Wilbur sitting silently on call with you while you work, Tommy dragging you out of your room, Ranboo always willing to get excited over your progress. Every day you woke up with a text from your groupchat—typically Charlie—just filling you in on the latest internet trend by a meme.

Today, your news comes from Wilbur and Tommy.

“I think they’re canceling you.” Wilbur says casually while you’re in the midst of detailing the hunger bar for a texture pack.

“Ooh, you’re a wrong’un!” Tommy yells in the background of Wilbur’s side of the call.

The three of you had been idly chatting while each doing your own thing. Wilbur and Tommy were engaged in some Twitter competition, as far as you know.

“Canceling me for what?” You ask, deciding to ignore Tommy’s shouting.

“Existing, I think.” Wilbur answers.

“So the normal.”

“The normal.”

Although the conversation stops there, you can’t help yourself. Later, during one of the few hours you dedicate to getting sleep to stay alive, you pull open Twitter on your phone. Your last tweet was nearly two weeks ago, so it’s been a minute.

But you just want to make sure nothing horrible happened while you were busy. You’re a content creator, this is normal. Definitely. You definitely aren’t just justifying this so you can do it.

You swipe through tweets, heading to trending and searching your name. Tweets load, making your mouth run dry. Wilbur wasn’t joking.

All you can do is scroll, reading as the messages get wilder and wilder. From people saying they were missing you to theories on why nobody was streaming you. Each one seemed considerably more implausible, and before you know it you’re glaring at your screen like it’s to fault.

Some thought you had grown apart.

Some thought you had a falling out.

And, apparently, a lot thought you were emotionally abusing them. Or, depending on the tweet, manipulating them.

Quite honestly, you didn’t even know how they got the idea. The long threads of explanations did nothing but send you into a spiral, biting your bottom lip so hard that it bleeds.

You were so close to finishing the SMP. It needed just a few things, then you'd be able to start scheduling to get it up and running. You didn't have the time nor mental capacity to deal with whatever the fuck is going on right now.

Is it a good choice? Maybe not. But do you still ignore the accusations? Hell yes.

By the time you get even closer to finishing the preparations for your SMP, you've come up with the perfect plan to address the (quite stupid) rumors. It'll be a two-in-one; you address the rumors and announce the SMP at the same time.

"How long do I have to lay on this floor?" Tommy asks, stretched out behind your chair.

"Nobody asked you to lay on the floor." Wilbur points out, standing next to your computer. Charlie, on the other side, laughs.

"Yeah man, you wanted to be down there."

"Besides, I'm doing great down here!" Ranboo chimes in.

You roll your eyes, grinning. "I'm about to start stream, so it won't be for much longer. Just wait for my cue, yeah?"

Tommy grumbles, but shuts up. You take that as your chance to start the stream, switching it off your waiting screen and waving to the camera. Your chosen stream title has brought in a bit more than your usual casual steam view number, "Talking about some serious stuff," leading people to believe there will be drama. And if it's drama they want, it's drama you'll give.

"Hello, hello!" You smile, leaning back. "So I've decided to talk about some things. Namely, the Twitter shit. I am so sorry for everything, and I mean that. A lot. Sincerely. There's meaning in it."

Tommy snorts, and from the corner of your eye you catch Wilbur kick him to shut him up.

"What am I sorry about?" You ask rhetorically, acting like you read it off of chat. "Oh, you know. People have been saying all types of stuff. The things about me manipulating my friends?" There's a pause while you let that sink in. "So, I'm sorry."

It's a purposefully shitty apology, but you sigh and act like its heartfelt for a few moments, nodding towards chat. Their messages are mostly confused, especially because it isn't one emote-only.

"Sorry you guys are so gullible!" You shout, and Tommy practically tackles you.

Wilbur's the one to fix your chair, Ranboo and Charlie appearing next to you within moments.

"You guys really thought this one could manipulate me? The master?" Charlie asks the stream, pointing at you.

"Yeah!" Tommy shouts, way too energetic for someone who complained five minutes ago about being on the floor. "We're the master manipulators! Get fooled!"

"I, for one, haven't manipulated anyone-" Ranboo starts, but Tommy slaps a hand over his mouth and nods empathetically.

"Yeah, I don't know what you guys were thinking, but I've just been playing fucking Minecraft for the past few months nonstop." You laugh.

"Nonstop. It's a problem." Wilbur nods.

"It is not a problem!" Pause. "Anyways, I made an SMP! And that's where I've been! Not because I've been manipulating my friends or some shit, stop being dumbasses."

"It'll be super cool!" Ranboo adds in helpfully.

"These four-"

"That's us!" Charlie points around at himself, Wilbur, Tommy, and Ranboo.

"-will be on it, plus a lot more. It'll be posting those people soon! As in, check your Twitter obsessively guys! The SMP will be in about a month, too, so get fucking excited! I want to see some hype!"

"WOO!" Tommy screams, making everyone cringe at having their eardrums ruptured.

"So that's all I wanted to talk about I think. Anything to add, guys?" You glance around at the four surrounding you with a grin.

"One thing." Charlie nods, leaning in really close. "I have a secret. This SMP, it's actually-" He hits your end stream button mid-sentence. "And that's how you keep 'em interested."

Hi there. I’m going insane and it’s your fault. Like I discovered your absolute emotional masterpiece of a fanfic the other day and it’s all I think about anymore I’m so obsessed; I downloaded tumblr bc of you and I don’t really know how this site works but I do know how to click the ask button so that’s your problem now. First off: HOLy the writing and the voices are so good??? Like the characters say things the way their irl counterparts would say it? How?? Teach me your ways? Actually tho what did you do to learn to do that, is it innate, do you practice?

Second: “He wouldn’t have known the sight of Tango’s pale skin flushing bright red all the way down his chest.” That sentence just kinda stuck out to me from the last chapter… for some reason... anyways (idk what my point is here but it sure has got me thinking thoughts :P )

Third: I said I was obsessed, and I think it was an understatement. I didn’t study for my chem final because of this (still got an A tho so dw) and I went to bed for three days straight thinking about it and I woke up every morning thinking about it. (It took a solid hour to snap myself out of it when I actually needed to get work done lol) And on the plane ride home for break I drew some things so I’ll just leave these here if you don’t mind (umm ignore the tango faces on the first page and his left hand on the second, there's something Wrong™ about them I gotta practice, ok?)

As you can see I love love love the scene after the nightmare. If I remember correctly, Tango started wearing the gloves to protect his claws so they could heal after he escaped, and then when Jimmy gets hurt he just instinctively gives them to him?? Hello, the symbolism??? Tango just surrenders his own protection, both physically, because he would rather protect Jimmy, but also emotionally bc it immediately reveals what he considers a flaw in himself, monstrous, hideous. And Jimmy sees him throw the walls up again, “He quickly shoves the gloves at Jimmy, moving to get up. “I’ll uh, I’ll get another pair tomorrow-”” but Jimmy won’t let him, instead looks at what could be considered Tango’s entire soul —his trauma, his Hels origin, the feral, blaze side of him, the side that lies and hides and lashes out at any who get too close, the “ugliest” parts of him —and loves him despite it? Even sees the beauty in him? Yea, no, I’m normal about that—

Anyways idk how long these things are supposed to be but I have a couple more thoughts so you’re still stuck with me. Ummm let’s see… I adore your impulse design. So I’m taking that, thanks. (If that’s ok) also was thinking about how Jimmy would wear shirts with the wings getting in the way (see bottom of 2nd pic), and then thought maybe that’s why he’s so good at embroidery or sewing in general, cuz he has to make custom clothes. And then I thought what if he made some *cough* outfits and had Tango judge them… or asked for help putting on/taking off a particularly difficult shirt... haven’t had time to draw that yet but ya know… one day. Aaaaand the blaze rods could theoretically make a pretty cool fire crown when Tango's angry, also blazes do damage when you touch them, but I don't think you get set on fire? So it must be the blaze rods themselves doing damage, so I imagine when Tango's fighting they swirl around him both to attack whoever gets too close and to block any incoming projectiles (see middle left of 1st pic). +gradients on the blaze rods :]

Last thing, I showed my sister the fic last night and she’s already read through it twice so you’ve infected two of us. We were theorizing on what’ll happen next chapter. We both think that the others will piece together, to some extent, Tango’s backstory before they figure out how to remove the collar, what with the cuffs he wears, the comments Atlas made about a farm, Atlas’s mentioning about using Jimmy that way for his feathers, etc etc. and the comment that Tango can hear everything? Yea, no, when that collar comes off he’s gonna be distraught, I’m wagering that everything immediately bursts into flames around him or something (cuz that’d be cool). I think he'll probably try to run away, too, but we'll see

first off: HELLO, you got a tumblr bc of HTP?? incredible. i’m honored that this gay angsty little block man au was your introduction to the hellsite (affectionate). and don’t worry, i welcome asks no matter the length (tho i might not get to everything in a timely manner)

second of all: i’m SO happy you enjoyed my character voices. that’s definitely something that’s taken a bit of practice, especially for more understated characters that don’t have super obvious or unique vocal traits/vernaculars. i find it helpful to a) have spent a decent amount of time watching the source material and b) always go over my dialogue with the character’s voice in my mind, and see if it sounds like something they’d actually say. ofc, sometimes liberties can be taken based on the plot/setting of a fic but generally i spend a lot of time and effort on getting character voices right, so i appreciate the appreciation <3

thirdly: i like that particular sentence too ;0

fourth: THAT ART THO??? oh man. impulse looks amazing (i’ve always loved demon!impulse and gotta credit @lunarcrown for bringing that vision to life 💃) and the wings are SO well done, like you conveyed that leathery thin bat skin texture perfectly. the various tangos are SICK, i luuuuv seeing him in full blaze rage mode, using those blaze rods to their full effect. and those hands… goddamn. not only do i respect the hand anatomy but the ROSES… the shackles and their metallic texture… the gradient on tango’s claws… chef’s kiss 💋👌 and THANK YOUUU the post-nightmare scene was one of my favorites from that chapter, and you’ve summed it up beautifully.

moving on: as with all of lunar’s designs, she’s happy to inspire so BEHOLD, DEMON IMPULSE UPON YE (that’s a yes from both of us LOL) i love ur idea about jimmy making custom shirts to work around his wings, that’s one of those little details i never put much thought into but it fits so nicely with him being into embroidery. so jimmy def makes a lot of his own clothes (and occasionally some for tango), co-signed and approved. and ur on the right track about tango’s blaze rods- most of his defensive fire comes directly from them, doing that crazy swirly fireball thing that actual blaze do, but he does also have the ability to produce fire from his hands, he just doesn’t do it often. it takes a bit more concentration and practice, and he spent so long trying not to use his abilities that it doesn’t come second nature to him anymore. he was way more of a fire starter as a kid in hels.

last but not least: AWW it’s so sweet u got ur sister into the au (lord knows i’ve dragged mine into many a fandom 😂) glad y’all enjoyed it so much, AND now u have someone to theorize with 👀 i won’t say anything more on the matter other than i hope to get the next chapter out over the next couple weeks, so stay tuned…

BROTP: honestly… rubanoid. I think once again through their losses they’re able to become very close partners together. I also like the idea of Elright being like someone he looks up to/a mentor figure

General opinion: I feel similar to him the way I feel ab fabia,,, held back by the writing. I always felt like he’s just like the typical good knight character who they don’t really delve more into as a person, other than the backstory/moments of him and Neo. Both him and Fabia are characters I’ve had to force myself to see more into bc upon first and second viewing I just really did not care much for them. I’d say I have a bit more appreciation for them now tho

Summary of the limited 5 stars I have and why I pulled them ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Seele- Didn’t went for her initially and was saving up for Jing Yuan at that time but I thought she was pretty cool and I kinda like her dynamic with Bronya. I pulled for her back in 1.4 when her rerun came out cuz I was kind of bored and wanted to see how good Seele is. She was fun to play around with esp in Mono Quantum teams and I do hope to pull for her signature LC soon.

Jing Yuan- Have many complicated feelings for this man. Love his character as a whole, his voice performance and his gameplay (even if it was a little clunky back in 1.0). Pulled for his signature LC because the LC I was using at that time (Genius’ Repose) wasn’t good on him so yeah.

Silver Wolf- Came in about 20 pulls and was an overall great debuffer. Had a lot of fun with her when you put her in teams such as Mono Quantum and if you pair her with Seele for example. Don’t have her signature LC but Tutorial should work just fine on her but I’m probably may have to at some point 👉🏻👈🏻

Luocha- The man who came in about 10 pulls and was overall glad that he was the healer that carried my team. I don’t use him a lot nowadays sadly since I have Huohuo and Gallagher but I remember how his Talent has a Panic Heal function that triggers whenever someone is on low HP and it was pretty neat. Don’t have his signature but the F2P LC I have on him (Time Waits for No One) works fine for him. (I’ll get back to building Luocha sooner or later)

Blade- Well what can I say. This man is hot. Yeah I know he fell off the meta gameplay and got powercreeped in some sense but he’s not all that bad IMO if you have Bronya and/or Luocha with him. Don’t have his signature LC but I’ll get it sooner or later in his second rerun.

Kafka- To be frank with you guys, I didn’t really need her on my account but considering how attractive her design is and the fact that I would feel bad for not reuniting her with Bladie and Silver Wolf, I pulled for her. She’s actually pretty good in battle and pairing her with other DoT units like Sampo has helped. Don’t have her signature but Fermata is a Okayish substitute for her signature.

Dan Heng IL- Like with Kafka, he wasn’t really needed on my account but his design is way too cool to be passed up and his Ultimate is peak. That and I just like Dan Heng way too much. Don’t have his signature but I plan to get it in his second rerun if I feel like it.

Fu Xuan- One of the first limited Preservation unit I was gunning for as I don’t have Gepard with me yet in my account and I couldn’t leave Luocha as the only sustain (I do have Bailu but she’s not too useful IMO). That and I kind of like her character too. Don’t have her signature and sadly skipped it in favor of Boothill during her rerun but I’ll get it in her second rerun.

Topaz- Pulled for her back in 1.4 in about 70 pulls and she is actually pretty neat. Her using Numby to attack the targets by firing a coin gun to attract it is just a pretty fun concept. Also a huge sucker for gemstone related names. Pulled for her signature in her first rerun so she’s OK now.

Huohuo- I didn’t pull for her back in 1.5 as I was too busy trying to gun for Argenti (who is a good unit somewhat but was designed more for Pure Fiction) which I kind of regretted as she was kind of like a sustain for DoT units and is pretty good (even if she overshadowed Luocha somewhat) so I pulled for her in her rerun. Don’t have her signature but I’ll probably get it in her second rerun when I have the chance.

Ruan Mei- Like with Huohuo, I was too busy trying to get Dr Ratio and also regretted not getting her until her rerun. She is a little messed up character-wise but her design is just too pretty to pass up (still a little fucked that TB was somehow Ok with her drugging them tho but that’s another story). Don’t have her signature as I was too busy getting Firefly but I’ll get it in her second rerun.

Dr Ratio- One thing I have to say is that: He’s sexy. Also I’m forever thankful that he was a free limited 5 star unit that players received from 1.6 to 2.1 which made me super thankful that I don’t have to pull for him as a unit and go for his LC. And guess what? I got it in around 30-40 pulls I believe. Oh and he’s actually pretty straightforward to use too so yeah!

Sparkle- The one character I saved my 12k Stellar Jades for because as a unit she’s practically another version of Bronya but works for units that are SP hungry. Also she has a really pretty design and is a fun character overall (Tho I do wish she wasn’t racist). And since I got her in 20 pulls, I went for her LC next which took 50 pulls.

Aventurine- Another sustain unit I went for since I don’t use Luocha that much and I can’t let Fu Xuan be the only shield unit. Like with Topaz, I’m a sucker for gemstone names and he is also handsome. Oh and he took 20 free pulls to come into my account so it’s a win! I don’t have his signature LC as I attempted to get Jingliu on her rerun but couldn’t but I sure hope to get it on his rerun.

Boothill- I wasn’t interested in getting him at first and only focused on getting either Topaz’s or Fu Xuan’s LC but after playing 2.2, his character captivated me combined with very funny and wholesome fanart of him and sometimes Robin. I couldn’t get his LC as I spent a lot of my Stellar Jades getting Topaz’s LC and being cheated out of my 5 star guarantee back in Robin’s but I’ll get it the next time he has a rerun.

Firefly- A very cute and adorable girl who turned out to be a fearsome mechanic warrior! I was interested in her the moment I saw her design back when she was announced and the more I played the Penancony arc and learning that she is actually SAM, it made my interest in her go higher. I don’t have her LC sadly but I’ll get it once she has a rerun.

Jiaoqiu- Handsome pink haired foxian with heavy amounts of lore relating to him being a healer but also him suffering from depression the more he witnessed the horrors of war. I know he is a debuffer more tailored to Acheron but I got him because of the potential usefulness to DoT teams or units that benefitted from debuffed enemies like Dr Ratio for example. Don’t have his LC but I’ll get it in the near future when he has a rerun.

Overall, that’s all of the limited 5 stars I’ve pulled so far. The only one left is Robin and that’s because she’s really useful in FUA teams. I sadly don’t have plans to pull for Feixiao, Lingsha or even Rappa but it may depend on my mood on whether I want to pull them or not.

ok i’m about to go to bed but i’m like halfway thru the main stories of everyone and here’s my octopath 2 thoughts so far:

gameplay:

Hikari go brrrrrrr. this guy hits like a damn truck

also, i learned how concoct works finally and i am now a true concoct beliver. luv u castti <3

a lot of stuff was nerfed for some classes, some of it i like, some of it i miss

-no more 8stack reflect magic damage, RIP. cleric final ability is no longer a double cast but instead allows the target to take an extra turn after everyone else (i like this one, opens a lot of cool stuff you can do, but you also need to manage bp more if you wanna max your damage or casts instead of just getting double. cleric also now has an SP stealing staff move, reflect is replaced with a shielding move that prevents a % of damage based on boost, and also gains a physical and elemental buff. overall really good changes to the class.

scholar no longer has double hit spells. i kinda miss these, i really didn’t get much use out of the new skills scholar has, except for elemental barrage, which can be good for scouting weaknesses or big damage if solo targeting. but it means enemies with primarily magic based weaknesses are more annoying to break.

i think those two classes got the biggest overhauls. everything else of the 8 main classes seems to have its biggest tools intact (leghold, donate bp, etc) so i was pretty familiar with how to setup and beat bosses pretty efficiently. i do miss the generic multi hit wind and dark spells a lot tho….

otherwise, despite overall nerfs to some of the stronger more abusable strategies (i’m told runelord tressa equivalent is still in the game tho) latent power is balancing that out by being also busted as hell and fun to use. all of them are unique and a fun extra management tool that can make or break your turns. (poor castti tho, if you have enough money, hers is kind of irrelevant.)

ok anyways MINOR GAMEPLAY SPOILER TIME. THIS IS A SPOILER WARNING FOR MINOR PARTS OF CASTTI, HIKARI, PARTITIO, AND THRONE’S BOSS FIGHTS IN THEIR CHAPTERS.

SPOILERS START HERE:

ok. don’t really like how casttis chapter 4 boss has basically the same gimmick as alfyns, with max hp reducing poison. i think this fight is harder than alfyns by a little bit tho.

Hikaris final chapter is. super long. there’s 3 whole boss fights in the last chapter, so be ready for a lot of those in a row. i found the second boss harder than the third fight tho.. lol. it’s again also kinda similar to olberics ch4 so i already knew how to cheese it a bit, though it wasn’t as easy to set up on this guy.

partitios ch4 was piss easy, just did not hit very hard lol. and i don’t think the boss has that much health

throne ch4 was also pretty easy, but had a pretty cool unique mechanic. makes you play a bit different with it because of it, so you gotta get creative sometimes or compromise on your damage etc. good stuff even if it wasn’t too bad on me.

OK. THIS IS STORY SPOILER WARNING. IM GOING TO BE TALKING ABOUT WHAT HAPPENS AT THE END OF THE 4 CHAPTERS I JUST MENTIONED, SO CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED

SPOILERS NOW:

casttis story was ok. didn’t like it as much as alfyns in ot1 but it wasn’t terrible. i think i’m just usually not that big on amnesia plot lines. i like castti a lot in her travel banters tho, she’s actually pretty funny compared to how serious she always is in her story chapters.

hikari was pretty alright too. i think his evil demon blood is probably tied to galdera in some way, but they never actually explain where it comes from in his route and i was kinda waiting on it the whole time. kinda funny he becomes king and all, gets crowned, and then we’re off to go to partitios silly capitalism project with the new king of ku in tow.

partitio himself is probably my favorite traveler so far, but i think his story falls a little flat at the end. mostly because mr roque gets literally no comeuppance at the end despite literally ruining multiple towns worth’s of peoples lives by putting them in abject poverty and extorting them. partitio just goes i’ll hire you and we’re back to hunky-dory. kinda wish he didn’t accept defeat and suicided or was killed by his own creation or something more fitting, partitio never even confronts him for scamming his family and altering the contract. like come on man.

Throne. i don’t know how i feel about this one, the chapter 4 is. insane. you will never predict how the fuck her story wraps up, so i actually won’t even say even with the spoiler warning. just go fucking play the chapter 4 lol. i like the stuff in her chapter 3s with mother and father tho, even if it’s edgy and whatever. throne also has some fun travel dialogues, i like her well enough. it’s just that the chapter 4 is so bonkers i can’t decide how i feel about it and her lol. idk

looking forward to the other 4! i think all the stories are solid despite if it seems like im saying otherwise here, they’re definitely on par with the first game, which i think had quite a bit simpler plots lol. cant wait to get to the cross character chapters as well!

alright first things first i wanna use this ask to specify that Ranboo and Tubbo are in a QPR!! If you don’t know what that is, it stands for Queer Platonic Relationship, cause I headcanon C!Tubbo is on the aro spectrum and I’m aro so i feel the need to project cause i never see QPRs being talked about lmao. So that’s being added to this au. Also slightly unrelated but in this au (and another dsmp character headcanon) Ranboo is ace 💖

ok back to the actual question so y’know how in the dsmp lore Tubbo married Ranboo cause he was rich and stuff? This. Ranboo isn’t rich or anything, he’s a teenager with a retail job, but hey, any money is rich by borrower standards. Not that Tommy doesn’t buy Tubbo stuff and he doesn’t steal Dream’s stuff (Dream hasn’t met him and Foolish lives next door with Puffy), but he took way more of a liking to Ranboo than he thought he would when he asked Tommy to take him to work with him and now he needs a viable excuse to keep clinging to him. And having an extra human to give him stuff was nice too. Tubbo really looked at this ridiculously tall anxious human and said “that one.”

So anyway, he kinda just…watched him for like, a month. Ranboo would constantly complain to Tommy that he felt like he was being watched, and Tommy would just unconvincingly laugh it off. Eventually tho, Tubbo messed up and ended up stuck on a few higher shelves in the kitchen’s backrooms before closing time. Tommy was talking to Wil and the other employees had gone home, so Ranboo was the only other person near Tubbo, and he just happened to slip and almost fall into the deep fryers that Ranboo was shutting down for the night.

Thankfully Ranboo caught him, but unthankfully Ranboo immediately hid Tubbo from Tommy cause why would he think they knew each other? It took some serious charades and a solid thirty minutes for Tubbo to communicate to Ranboo that, yes, Tommy knew him and he really needed to get back to Tommy cause they live together. Once Tubbo had been returned to a very frantic and panicked looking Tommy who was concerned that Tubbo had been abducted or killed while he wasn’t looking, Tommy ended up explaining this all better and Ranboo eventually put the pieces together that Tubbo was the weird presence of always being watched that he felt at work.

After that, he did his best to communicate with Tubbo, because it seemed like Tubbo really wanted to talk to him, but he couldn’t help that he couldn’t understand him! They tried charades, but they both sucked, so eventually it just turned into Ranboo having one sided conversations that Tubbo would nod or shake his head at. And Tubbo also started bringing him things. Like, little buttons or feathers or cool rocks and leaves, and Ranboo couldn’t say that the gesture didn’t mean something to him. It reminded him of a crow, and he told Tubbo that once, who accepted the comment with pride. But it was still frustrating that they couldn’t communicate. Eventually, he started to notice that even if Tommy would talk to Tubbo normally, sometimes they talked using BSL, which he didn’t even think Tubbo knew, considering Tubbo couldn’t even write (as in, he was completely illiterate and had never even been taught the alphabet cause that’s apparently unnecessary to borrowers) and was also, according to Tommy, probably dyslexic.

Ranboo sought Tommy out to teach him BSL in secret as a surprise to Tubbo. He learned a good bit of basics and almost ever curse word before he decided to start taking online lessons. And on the six month anniversary of meeting Tubbo, he was very happy to finally be able to communicate properly with him for the first time. Of course, his signing wasn’t perfect, and Tubbo’s hands occasionally messed up (Ranboo had thought that Tommy was weird for choosing “fuck” and every iteration of the word fuck to be the first words Ranboo learned, but he was starting to appreciate that now, given that Tubbo said it constantly, especially when he messed up bad enough or had to pause and restart a sentence)(Tommy may have been right about the dyslexic thing but it really wasn’t his business), but it was a start, and it was better than they’d ever had.

As it turned out, he and Tubbo had very similar senses of humor. They talked for hours and hours on end, now that they could, and Ranboo enjoyed every second of it. Tubbo also verbally spoke when he signed and, even if Ranboo couldn’t understand it, he could hear every bit of emotion and emphasis behind the words. He didn’t need to hear the words in order to pick up on Tubbo’s attitude in every conversation they had. Tubbo was a very good story teller, he learned, and his jokes always somehow landed, even if Ranboo couldn’t hear exactly how it was said. He also learned that to borrower ears (and to Tommy), Tubbo had a british accent, and he only learned this because Tubbo made fun of him for being American damn near constantly. Ranboo also learned that he didn’t need to sign, cause Tubbo could understand English just fine, but Ranboo decided that if his hands weren’t busy, there really wasn’t a harm to it. Besides, if Tubbo had to sign to be understood, Ranboo might as well keep practicing just to make sure he didn’t forget anything (or maybe he just didn’t want to make Tubbo feel alienated when they talked, but he could have that debate with himself).

All in all, though Ranboo hadn’t really been expecting it, he couldn’t say he was shocked when the little trinkets that Tubbo would bring shifted from small knick knacks into things like flowers (which Ranboo would usually tuck behind his ear for the rest of his shift) or shiny objects that he knew he’d find pretty or occasionally jewelry he must’ve stolen from the lost and found area, though Ranboo appreciated it nonetheless.

Tubbo came to him on the one year anniversary of their meeting with an actual jewelry box, which was odd, and he opened it to find an intricately woven purple and green braid with a minecraft bee charm and an enderman charm linked on it, a running joke between the two since Tubbo and Ranboo had frequently started having sleepovers at Ranboo’s house and Tubbo had fallen in love with the bees as soon as Ranboo had booted up minecraft, and they’d gotten into an argument about which mob was better. But he also knew what that braid meant. Of course he did, cause he was already wearing one. Purple, green, and red: that was the one on his left wrist. Tommy’s was on his right, and Tubbo wore his as an anklet. They’d made them together as soon as the three had become close friends, and as soon as the cultural significance had been explained to Ranboo. But this one was just for him and Tubbo. That implied that they were something more, and Ranboo knew it. He also found he was ok with it.

Tubbo hadn’t even needed to ask it out loud. He had just been staring the entire time, until Ranboo looped the braid behind his neck and tied it in place, shooting a smile at the borrower. Tubbo grinned like an idiot, before asking Ranboo if they’d be interested in going to the park sometime later that day, just to make it official. Ranboo smiled wider as he signed “it’s a date” and carried on with work for the rest of that day as Tubbo was busy trying to find Tommy and tell him that it all went well.

and yes Tommy was aware of all of this. He bought Tubbo the little minecraft charms cause he thought it was funny as hell and also on a more serious note he’d do anything to help his practically brother at this point. He’d been the one to actually convince him to give Ranboo the necklace, cause at that point Tommy was like 98% sure Ranboo would accept it. It also helped that Tommy knew Tubbo had liked Ranboo since the very fucking beginning, a fact that not even Ranboo knew. Needless to say, he was right there with Tubbo in his excitement when he went to Tommy after the fact, and he couldn’t have been happier for his two best friends.

Twisted Wonderland Main Story Scattered Thoughts (Prologue Chapter 17-20)

Okay, so I lied yesterday. You know, like a liar. I really did want to do it first thing in the morning, but you know L I F E had other plans. Did a cool thing today, so that was fun! Now back to the TWST! Is Grim acting as bait? Monster is ready to commit a violence. No, Yuu you can’t be scared! You have a little thing I like to call “Main Character Shield” in which you are not allowed to die. Monster: Be gone, THO- Okay I’ll stop. OMG THE OG DUO MAGIC! Grim and Ace being a power duo, love to see it! Cauldron? Cauldron time? I love cauldron time, Deuce please! YES CAULDRON TIME! Deuce and Cauldron, the best duo ever, move over Ace! Grim, no, no starting up beef! Run run run run runrunrun… IT’S SO PRETTY! That stone is so pretty oh my gosh I want! Something heavier? Yeah, like, TWO cauldrons! YES YES YES HE ACTUALLY DID! CAULDRON SPAM! ALL THE CAULDRONS! Beautiful Deuce, beautiful. DON’T BE MEAN ACE! You could never appreciate the majesty of the cauldron! 

Battle! It pushed off all those cauldrons?! Wow, the dedication. I wonder why it wants the stone so bad? “Then it’s kill or be killed!” Dang Yuu! You know, it occurs to me Grim has been spamming magic left and right and hasn’t gotten a magestone yet… You good buddy? Your blot levels doing okay? Ah, the unlimited turn battle! Those, uh, scared me when I first saw them in an event. Oh, and being able to see the card details mid-battle. OH, I went through half of Phantom Bride not knowing that, it was such a surprise. Wait. Wait. WAIT HANG ON! You can see the enemies spells’ owners?! THIS WHOLE TIME?! I’m gonna cry, that’s a thing?! The strategies I could’ve had in room battles… I had no idea you could see who each spell belonged to. 1000 HP. A’ight, bet. Done. THEY LIVE! Good job sirs, it’s only gonna get worse from here! Aw, they’re so CUTE! Yuu: This smells like friendship. Ok, what is the deal with NRC being so afraid of the F word (friend)? Only Kalim and Silver seem to not be afraid of using the word towards anyone. Ooooo! Okay, so I just found out when you go back in the log for the main story you can hear the dialogue too! That’s nice! Ace considers friendship cliche, um Endless Halloween would like to know your location. Ace: Lessons were learned, et cetera. Heh. Oh my gosh, Grim have you eaten at all today? Black stone… IT WAS AN OVERBLOT MONSTER! I thought it was but the dudes never made that connection so I didn’t think so. I THINK SO AGAIN NOW! I wonder if that was the reason behind the magestone addiction. Someone, put a stone in front of the overblotters’ blot monsters. Oh wait. Oh no, Grim. No. Don’t do it. It smells good? Candy? CANDY? Don’t you dare compare candy to whatever that is. HE ATE IT NOOOOO! And thus starts his addiction to eating random black stones from off the ground. “Spit it out! Out! Bad cat!” I love Yuu, already such a cat owner! So Grim likes the taste of flowers? He should go out with Ruggie sometime so they can eat edible weeds together. Most humans. Emphasis on the most, I can think of at least one human at this school who would in fact eat random stuff they find on the floor. You know, I’m still curious if Riddle and Trey know what Ace and Deuce are doing. 

CROWLEY, WHAT DO YOU MEAN?! Did they actually do it, bruh it was your idea! It’s giving Trey, it’s giving Trey. He was so ready for expulsion time. “And here I spent all evening preparing your expulsion documents” he sounds disappointed. Wow, again, what a headmage. Ace, you worked together. Suck it up, teamwork makes the dreamwork, accept it. Deuce, you too! …why’s he crying? Oh he’s really crying! “At his age” why would that age be. He’s still got ??? in his bio there. Wait, is he crying because he thinks they’re lying? HE’S CRYING BECAUSE OF TEAMWORK! OH MY GOSH! That’s hilarious, they’re teamwork moved him to tears, I love that. Join hands, boys, you have unlocked friendship! Ace asking the real questions, spill the age, headmage! Hang on, does the “beast” in Beastmaster Yuu also cover the NRC boys? Priceless. Great pride and big egos, ah lack of cooperation skills. Wait, do Kalim and Silver get included in this? I know Kalim’s admission was paid for, but Silver? I’m confused by them being at this school. OOOOOOHHHH, LET’S GO YUUUUUUU! Student time, student time! Shush Yuu, don’t remind him about the magic thing! Grim proved himself! Aww, good for him! Let’s go, Ramshackle Duo! Together they make a whole chaotic mess- I mean student. Aw, Grim’s so happy! The Janitor Era was so short lived. It was like, oh my gosh all of this happened in one day. YES PLEASE CROWLEY! Grim looks so wrong without the magestone, put it on him! “Too kind” impossible. Actually impossible. His little song! Yuu entering the Prefect Era. What… is a Prefect anyway? I read books with prefects, still don’t get the whole idea. Yuu’s Prefect now to them. My spellcheck doesn’t like the word prefect. Crowley, that was sus. Stop it with the child labor. Stop it, get some help. Like, adult help. THE GHOST CAMERA! No but “camera?” Yuu, you’re getting hung up on the wrong thing here. Okay, judging by the fact Crowley said “I would hardly consider them “super old””, implying he takes offense at the comment, the camera is from his era. That’s like when people call flip phones old in front of millennials. Hm, so like 100-150 years old then? Soul? Yes Deuce, that does sound sketchy, I agree. Memories with a capital M. Living pictures! “Soulbond” good question Yuu. Wicked…keen? I’m curious, why does Yuu need to take the pictures? What’s the reason? 

Oooooo, last Chapter! Oh wait wait wait! Okay, so at the end of every book the next dorm gets teased, right? Are they gonna tease Heartslabyul? Grim’s so happy! “Sentient pile of lint” Ace! That got a laugh out of me actually. Wait, do Ace and Deuce know that they share a room? “Those two seem like they’re made for each other” the most iconic TWST duo. Oh, I guess they’re not teasing it. Hm? OOOOOOO! AHHHHHH THE OPENING OP! OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH! I LOVE THAT OPENING SO MUCH! I was so shocked to see it, I’m grinning like an idiot YES! That thing single-handedly put TWST on my radar, it means a lot to me!

OK SO. I feel like the external videos, previous smps, and contests are still a part of the dsmp. At least most of them. Like, the characters are an extension of the CC and their YouTube/Twitch journey. The characters join the dsmp, and they come from different places, and those places are the series the CC is currently working on. Like they have a built in backstory.

For instance: Tommy, SMPEarth and Skyblock are canon for him. Philza, hardcore world and SMPEarth. Techno, Hypixel, MCM, SMPEarth, so on and so forth. BadBoyHalo, MunchyMC, videos with Skeppy, and MCM. And Dream, MunchyMC and Manhunts. MCC for all of these too. I gave a lot of examples just to show a lot of the different places they come from. There can ofc be more!

And I KNOW they said it wasn’t canon, but I think the Fundy marriage was canon too. Just to put into perspective how many of these things are considered canon for anyone who might be in doubt, everyone thought the Fundy proposal videos were canon until they said it wasn’t. Which obviously I didn’t listen to.

I will say, I do continue the “characters are an extension of their CC” thing with the QSMP (like the dsmp part of the character is canon in the qsmp), but with the QSMP, they knew they were making characters, so not all things really flow over the same, at least we don’t know if the dsmp is canon yet (some other old smps seem to be though), but I still headcanon that the island tried to wipe the characters memories and make them forget about important things they left behind so they wouldn’t want to leave the island. Thus, the character is still carried on, they probably just don’t know it.

Anyways, carrying on. I actually haven’t watched Squid Craft 2. I did not know that existed :0

and clawdeen WOULD hate twilight. I actually just started reading it, and it was going pretty well until the whole “dude makes girl uncomfortable but it’s ok because she actually secretly likes it!! Haha!!” thing. I feel like clawdeen would hate twilight mostly though because she sees herself in the main character, but the story reacts in such ways that are just unsatisfactory and not at all what actually happen to a girl like Bella, which Clawdeen experiences because she feels she is actually a girl like Bella and she HATES IT. She’s like, “That’s not how it works! Vampires might have all these super awesome powers, but that’s not what makes them likable!!” (as I haven’t read enough of twilight yet, I just have a hunch about this hc, so I will say my main basis for clawdeen relating to Bella is because she also has a crush on a vampire.)

And instead of a werewolf book, she actually finds the dog version of warriors.

SUPERIOR ACEDIA? Oh.. Oh how would THAT work I wonder.. considering Doc Ock swapped bodies with Peter in that comic series (I know a little from those who’ve actually read them and shared what they know with me)??

My Otto is in good health and wouldn’t be that mad and crazy to attempt a body-swap. It would have to be some other crazy villain. But the prospect of what I’m aware of that happens within the Superior Spiderman series is not ideal. at least for me and all. yikes. it gets really dark and depressing :(

I’d have to look up the other two things tho, I’m not familiar with either of those, but “spider-island” makes me anxious from the name alone.

[Ok, I looked up some explanation videos and here’s my thoughts]:

Clone-Saga: .....oh gosh. cloning Peter... clones are never a fun time and there’s not a whole lot of good stories with them, it seems. a clone of me would be.. weird to say the least?? likelihood of a clone-saga style plotline/arc like that is.. highly unlikely. It doesn’t really appeal to me, personally? It’d be weird seeing multiple of me running around.. don’t like that much.

However, I could see Mysterio pulling something like that as a sort of illusion during a battle, or Chameleon is pretending to be a doppelganger like he’s done before in various instances, like in tssm’s introduction episode for him, Beck, and Mason. Either/or would be fun to play with. definitely a tag team of messing with my mind in battle.

Chameleon being more malicious in the act of psychological torment, while Mysterio doesn’t seem like he’s the type to like.. kill? idk he’s probably killed in the comics, but he just seems more like the type of guy who would have a complete breakdown and reformation if he murdered someone. He can be a little careless with his displays and tricks and all, but I don’t think he’d be out for blood, per se, even if he were truly enraged. this does not make him any less of a threat if need be, though. he’s still dangerous even if he is just a regular human man without any superpowers.

I mean, after all, that’s how quite a few of these bad guys are, just regular people without any powers. though Beck does have his level of intelligence and skill with special and practical effects.. and a little chemistry and dabbling in engineering on the side. Just enough to make repairs and his own makeshift gadgets if Mason/Tinkerer is unavailable.

Spider-Island: AH. OK. Everyone has spider powers. That’s what that one is about. hmm.. I don’t see too much of a difference for that, other than the spider costumes being people just wearing various animal onesies or whatever lol and also the uhh... potential lack of an Anti-Venom.. among other things. Not really much to say about this one. Not much for me to work with within my own verse. Likelihood of this happening is also just as unlikely/impossible as the other.

I don’t really know a whole lot about the comics and the various arcs within them to really think of my own takes on them, unfortunately. I’d need a summary or synopsis of any notable or interesting storylines/arcs there may be within the Spiderman timelines to make any decisions.
