Also, Moffat likes to use exclamation points. Like, a lot. Like it's sounding sadly desperate, how much he's using exclamation points to describe the action.

Ok, honestly, it wasn't as bad as I had thought--mainly because I can read fast. So, basically this all confirmed what we all knew: Moffat hates Rose and has no fucking clue.

Now I'm properly pissed off enough that I might end up having to give my contribution to a fix-it fic for this episode. God knows, I can't do any worse than Moffat.

So....I'm currently battling a massive temptation, and I need someone to slap me on the wrist and tell me 'no'.

I've recently discovered/gotten access to the original scripts of all the episodes of BBC's Sherlock, and reading through them gave me the fun/horrible idea of using them as a reference to rewrite the entire series (as a fanfic of course, I don't want to be sued) to heal my innerchild and make it end/include what I want it to. Someone stop me, my sanity can't afford to take this journey right now.

this is so funny i knew eoin said he thought gwaine got up and went on his merry way with a concussion and zero recollection of the entire series but i didn't know he got super excited about making a short film about it. it's kind of a huge-brained idea actually since gwaine's character arc starts out with a concussion. mr macken please this could be your magnum opus there is still time

OMG! Fear Her Script

Y'all. In the script, the Doctor was just going to drink juice. Not stick his fingers in a jam jar!!

A little weird bit about Rose telling him to hold her hand, because it's not in the filmed episode. Because David and Billie are fucking awesome.

if you were showrunner what would you do

First of all, I’m not a writer, so I’m not even sure how I’d develop my ideas, but here are something’s I’d do:

1. Unknown actor for the Doctor. Be it female or male, but it has to be a newcomer.

2. Companion that has completely lost faith in the universe and the Doctor helps them see the beauty in life again.

3. Sort out Gallifrey’s and Time Lords lore. In the past eras we’ve had a lot of changes and mentions to Gallifreyan lore. However, I think it’s all a bit scattered and all over the place, so I’d definitely take the time to try and tie it all together. Not necessarily decanonize anything that’s been done, but try to make it more of a cohesive thing.

4. Since we’re talking Gallifrey, I’d like to use them to make some political commentary. We know that oftentimes the Time Lords suck, but I think this hasn’t been fully explored. I’d definitely have a plot about them wanting to take another civilization’s land to build a new Gallifrey or something and show the horrors of colonialism and war. Also, show the civilization resisting the Time Lords and have the Doctor fully face the horrors perpetrated by their own people and how peaceful resistance is a privilege not a given. Btw extra points if the companion comes from the people fighting the time lords.

5. Since we’re doing time lords, have the Doctor reunite with Susan and have her as a companion as well.

6. After an initially heavy lore era, focus on introducing new monsters bringing once a season just one of the big three.

There’s more probably, but it’s late and this is already big.

Why does the Sherlock script sounds like an Ao3 fanfic written by a 15 year old girl?

So I usually have the merlin wiki open on my phone when im blogging my rewatch (bc im an obsessed freak yes we know this), and I dont usually look at the transcripts but im glad i did just for this:

I think that if I were a dr who writer and billie piper had just regenerated into the dr I would bring back Adam because he’s got the perfect villain origin story of him being super opportunistic and power hungry and then he’s just abandoned on earth because he betrayed the drs trust and he just has a door in his head revealing his brain every time someone clicks his fingers, if I were him I’d be livid and would try to use the brain chip out of spite, I’d become a really terrible person and try to become extremely powerful, I’d be isolated because no one could know about my brain door and then I’d stumble across some idiot names Conrad online who tried to prove that unit is fake and nearly achieved it and while I’d know it wasn’t fake because genius with a door to my brain I’d see the way that it benefitted him, people trusted him and believed him, I’d be smarter than him for the aforementioned reasons and I’d gain control then suddenly billie piper could appear and I would be confused because she had the face of the girl who was sympathetic towards me and felt betrayed but the mind of that man who had cruelly abandoned me on earth, there’d be some brilliant exchange, I’d reveal that the brain door benefitted me and o was able to manipulate the universe to my will, I caused Belinda to have that sudden character shift, the daleks could return because he had firsthand experience with them and after being punished by the doctor he may feel like it was worth siding with his enemy, there would be chaos, everyone watching would hate Adam because that’s a universal thing, new fans may be confused there would be a bunch of mental gymnastics to retcon and reretcon stuff half of the budget would be blown on the special effects it would be a marmite episode where everyone either loved it or hated it and I would enjoy witnessing the chaos of all of this happening
