i am once again rifling through the bbc sherlock scripts and here is a scene that got cut from TLD

why did moftiss cut so many genuine and emotionally poignant scenes from s3 and s4?

There's something so inevitable about Sherlock Holmes. We tell this story, again and again and again, in a thousand different ways. The end was already written before we began, but we began again anyway. We hope that maybe this time the story will be right, that maybe this time they'll get their happy ending. Holmes and Watson are told a hundred different ways, and yet told the same every time. And we begin again anyway.

My last pinned post was from August! So if you're looking for fic updates, here they are:

I bought a house.

As you can imagine, it's been really busy. And my finances are such that I'm working two jobs to stay afloat, but I have a house and it's mine and it's quiet and calm. It's a process, but I think my brain is finally settling back into a writing mode. I started writing some updates to a fic this week, but I'm not going to tell you about it until it's complete because I don't want to get your hopes up.

Gosh, I haven't written in so long.

One more fun update: I'm currently playing a femme Watson ("Whatsun") to the same Holmes actor that I had in Sherlock Holmes & The American Problem. It's a hilarious spoof murder mystery called "Home Sweet Homicide" and we open at the Kentlands Mansion on 3/14/25. Three performances only! But Holmes and I are very excited to be back in our tweeds and plaids together. I hope we get to keep playing these guys over and over.

I hope to be back with fic updates soon. And maybe new novellas but mostly I'm starting with fic while I'm getting back into the habit. Or building new ones, since I'm in a new place.

Everyone gives Sherlock Holmes a hard time about being mean about Watson's writing, but honestly imagine you told your roommate "sure, you can write up an account of my work for the newspaper," thinking it would be like, about the murder, but then he publishes it and it's 90% about you, as a person, and it's a huge hit and now everyone in London knows that you hoard newspapers and do cocoaine when you're depressed. Because I think you'd be little miffed too.
